"My name is Lieutenant Michael John Adams, United States Navy. We were the crew of an experimental spacecraft..."

"Sardaks take prisoners to great city. Grug never see inside, but many, many people. Sardaks, slaves. Many slaves. Great city has high wall, tall enough to keep out Big-Teeth. Many guards."

"When we left the twentieth century, the prevailing scientific opinion was that man and dinosaur did not coexist!"

"My name is Doctor Eve Carson-"

"Carson, Eve. One entry found. Historical records. Medical doctor aboard the Pegasus, an experimental Earth-to-Mars spaceship developed by Suji Yamaguji and launched in the final decades of the twentieth century."

"These people... their ancestors were just like us. Marooned here."

"System designation, main computer interface, ark ship designated The Hopeful. Using. Experimental. Untested. Warp. Drive. Launched. April. Twenty. Second. Twenty. One. Eighty. Nine. Four thousand passengers and crew. Last survivors of a doomed Earth."
>>
"This crystal throne on which I sit gives me the power to control those around me... to restore my wounded soldiers... to see the future, primate. A future where the Sardak Empire reigns supreme, and alone, free of the taint of lesser tribes."

"You're insane! You're a monster!"

"I am the Emperor of the Sardaks, and I command the world."

"The crystal - the lost piece of the Sardak crystal that Urr gave me - I figured out how to use it, but I was captured by the guards and one of their captains got his scaly hands on it."

"Even if you were to somehow seek your way to the treasure vault, you would search for years-"

"The Sardak Princess... it was almost as though she could sense the crystal I had hidden in my pocket. If I can somehow convince her to help me, I might be able to track it down wherever it is!"

"You will die beneath the blade of the Sardak Champion, as all primates before you have done, and I will use your crystal to gain power over my father the Emperor, and rise above my fated role."

"Lylyth, you traitorous-! When I get my hands on you-!"

"Goodbye, primate. I found your company... amusing. I hope I will find your death equally so."

"It has slain the Sardak Champion!"

"I'd be more worried about yourself!"

"Eeee! You said you would not harm me!"

"Relax, Princess. I said I'd never hurt a lady. Besides, I don't want to kill you... I still need you to help me find Grug and the crystal!"
>>
"I thought you said the high priest's chambers would be unbarred-"

"The doors are not locked!"

"That's one way to put it. And keep your voice down. I knew I should have freed Grug first."

"There is no time! The high priest will not be alone for long! He is the only one with the key to the treasure vault, and if its absence is noted, alarms will surely be raised!"

"No more than they already are after the send-off they gave me at the arena!"

WE'LL BE BACK

WITH MORE

ADAMS AND EVE
>>
Whew! I've burned up two batteries so far today! Good thing I have a spare so I can keep going while one recharges.

I'm going to go set up the next scene, but if you like what you see and you want to read more, almost all Lego Quest episodes from the past nine years are archived here along with all the images:
http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/archive.html?tags=lego%20quest

The official Lego Quest wiki has writeups for Mike, Eve, and just about every other character near their crash site:
https://legoquest.fandom.com/wiki/Lego_Quest_Wiki

And if you follow me on Twitter, you'll get a tweet whenever a new episode starts or an ongoing episode resumes:
@EndmanOfFuturon

Thanks for playing and stick around for more!

Nicely done mate. What's your flickr/instagram or whatever?
I'd really love to see more of your setups in /lg/ as well. I'm getting into Lego-oriented photography, and I'd like to get together a graphic novel kind of thing, similar to Ludgonius or what you do.

"Ah, yes, I see, Miss Carson. This computer sounds quite remarkable! I would very much like to examine it myself!"

"It was more than a computer, Suji! It was an intelligence, like you or me!"

"And Miss Carson, what happened to this computer intelligence?"

"I had to get out of there before Big-Teeth showed up!"

"Ah, Miss Carson, that sounds like a very good reason!"

"And this caveman, this Grug, he lives near here?"

"Yes, he and his tribe - or what remains of them."

"There are more like him? More humans?"

"Oh yes, the Sardak city is full of human slaves! Do you see that waterfall, beyond those tall trees?"

"Ah, yes?"

"The Warrior Tribe's cave is just beyond that waterfall. You wouldn't be able to spot it if you didn't know what to look for, but I think I could find the way."

"I'm sure we can find you some fresh water. Here, sit down-"

"Ah, Miss Carson, that is most kind of you! But something has been troubling me since I found myself in the jungle!"

"What's that, Suji?"

"Ah, Miss Carson, I have been calculating and re-calculating the figures for my spaceship's engine, and I cannot understand where the error was made! Perhaps if I could consult with that hologram, I might better understand the situation!"

"I don't know, Suji... I only found it on accident because of the light in the dark. I don't know if I'd be able to find it during the day."

"Ah, Miss Carson, that is most unfortunate-"

"But Tala or Urr might know where it is!"

That's it for now, and good thing too because my table is an absolute mess with all the set pieces that I threw together on the fly for this game! The only things I had constructed going in were the temple and the apartments of the Princess, and the quarters of the high priest that I made right before I started the game.

Easter eggs and small talk to follow, but if you want to catch up first, all the previous episodes of Adams and Eve (including images) are archived on suptg, along with almost every other episode of Lego Quest from 2010-2019:

While the allusions, references, and outright ripoffs of several other media properties have already been mentioned in past threads, the inflection of the hologram computer (as well as some other bits) is inspired by a very dear and very low-budget sci-fi show called The Starlost.

Duplo blocks are great for lots of reasons, but primarily in this game because they fill a lot of space easily and their oversize appearance calls to mind the architecture of the ancient world, which is the look I try to emulate with the public works of the Sardak Empire.

I checked; this is the first time Mike ever punched a Sardak.

Lylyth's sleeveless dress is made from a combination of the Star Wars Darth Maul torso, a pre-1978 minifig lower half, and a 1x2 plate to make her the same height as a standard minifig.

This shot used up every single one of the 2x6 tan bricks that I had free, and as you can see by looking in the top left corner it wasn't quiiiiiiiite enough to fill in the entire pit but I think it turned out pretty good.

Telescope in the background was recycled from a previous shoot

>>3789409
This scene took longer to set up than I had planned because I remembered too late that the key to running this game is to have a lot of tall plants already assembled.

>>3789417
I need to get some more of these large curved panels because I had to take apart another unrelated build to retrieve them for this game

Suji of course was last seen in the first episode of Adams and Eve during the intro narration

This flare gun cartridge was already suspect from earlier when Mike found it wet.

This shot is an homage to Jurassic Park III

Mike actually rode a pteranodon (a.k.a. a Wing-Teeth) but he never tamed or named it.

No mating for these two - Mike first saw this newcomer outside the secret entrance to the Sardak city, when it was tangling with Big-Teeth. You can tell they're different species because the other one has blue arms and a stubbier, spikier tail.

At the beginning of the first episode, I just spread a bunch of pieces around the baseplate that I thought looked like they could be part of a spaceship, but then when a player rolled really well to build a shelter I realized that I could make a cute little cabin with a couple of the round pieces, and I was pretty proud of myself because all of the pieces that were used to make it were the random parts that I had spread around before. I have some ideas for what to do to renovate it with some organic additions.

The last time we saw one of these prepackaged meals was when Mike and Eve attempted to use their last one as a sacrificial offering for the Warrior People's holiday of First-Fire.

>>3791775
These scenes where Mike has a 1x1 bandage on his chest were a real pain to shoot because the tile kept sliding around and revealing the sticky-tack underneath, which I wouldn't notice until I got the picture set up, taken, and onto my computer, and in a couple of cases I had already torn down the set and built a new one using the pieces before I realized the problem.

Turns out a crocodile looks a lot bigger if you give it a tyrannosaur tail. This scene was shot over and over as I kept adding more details, but since it was hard to keep everything balanced, I didn't want to lose the shot and have to start over so I wanted to ensure that I at least had SOMETHING if the whole thing collapsed.

>You can tell they're different species because the other one has blue arms and a stubbier, spikier tail.
I assumed it was just gender differences, hence my mating call suggestion

The rare indoor public works guardian statues. I like to think that they're so low here to give those present a sense that they're being watched

This vault door went through a couple of changes but is pretty much exactly how I pictured it would be. Doesn't open very far but that's OK because you can't see the mechanism this way.

It's going to be fun re-sorting all of the pieces that I used for Sardak treasure...

>>3792442
I felt like I wasn't getting enough floating objects in this game so I was happy when I had the idea to dunk Lylyth

>>3792453

I took a few shots in between here but I wasn't happy with how the images turned out and felt that it didn't contribute anything to the story so I cut it. Always annoying when I end up wasting time with stuff that ends up on the cutting room floor.

>>3792609
I went through a few ideas for a heavy yet handheld treasure before realizing that a Sardak statue would be perfect

>What kind of camera do you use to get close up and small enough to fit in the lego sets?

I use this Canon PowerShot 360HS, which I chose specifically because it had a very low lens and was small enough to easily fit into a Lego set. I had an older PowerShot that worked very well for this game so I'm happy with the brand overall.

Thanks again for playing and I'm happy to answer questions or take more pictures!
