You are now on the New World's Hope, a settlement reborn from the ashes of the Old World Mourn, an artificial island created from the debris of thousands of wrecked ships and vessels that were destroyed during the great war.

What once was a complete pile of useless junk and sharp rusty metal full of radioactive rats is now the foundation of a new island, a paradise among mounds of burning ash.

A month has passed since you saved this entire island from complete nuclear annihilation. During these days many things have changed, all for the better. There are black sands surrounding the coasts and light brown soil everywhere else. It didn't take long for the first crops to grow up along with patches of green grass to start appearing everywhere and a month after its birth, for the first time ever, the island smelled of petrichor in the morning. A few colorful flowers and berry shrubs come afterward, and soon will the first trees. Grasshoppers, worms bees, frogs, crabs, and other friendly fauna is also brought from the other islands and with their help, the islands' flora and fauna become more diverse and lifelike.

A few of the island's original buildings have been restored and repaired but most were demolished as they were too damaged. Nobody shed a tear for these rusty monstruosities thoughts.
>>
>>3774194

The New World's Hope is really promising but there's a war around you. You need to grow up and become strong fast, Ohana or the Sons of Kanaloa will devour you whole as soon as they have the chance. You need manpower, During these days you reunited a team of engineers, scientists, grease monkeys, electricians, black fingers and anyone who had a knack with anything mechanical or scientific along with anybody who was willing to volunteer and help. You taught everybody what kind of items, pieces, and resources they had to search around the island’s debris and together you all gathered enough pieces to create a couple of robot workbenches that quickly were put into use to create several Protectrons and Mr.Handies, the basic workbots units. The thirty days are spent doing that, combing the ruins and cleaning them of anything dangerous and searching for copper, steel, circuits, and other items necessary and using whatever was found to build robots. Most of the island’s electric grid is busted, which is a shame because there’s a perfectly working nuclear reactor literally under your feet.

When the month ended Terry summoned you along with Kame and Marga to see what kind of advances everybody did. He gave you all total liberty to do as you pleased as long as it was related to your specific field and did not interfere with whatever the other two were doing, his word was final thought, he could at any time cancel any plans that you or the other two might have. Many of the settlers of the island disliked the corruption and lies that flood the countries of Ohana and Kanaloa. So to avoid that your meeting is completely public, a small table is set in the middle of the island and four chairs are put around it, everybody who wants to attend is free to do so and every citizen has the right to speak and voice their opinion during specific talking turns.

Terry is the first one to come, getting every ready and even preparing some food and snacks for people who might want to come, despite not being perhaps the best leader he’s clearly excited about this all and his heart of gold makes him a really good person. He’s now out of his power armor and wearing an old grey suit with a clearly handmade band with the words “MAYOR” on and a small nametag with the name “Terrance” pinned to his left chest. When you all appear he sits on one of the chairs and instructs you two to do the same. Marga is wearing a dress made of flowers, hemp, and other natural fibers, Kame continues wearing his olive army garb, now with much fewer medals and flashy details. To save on Fusion Core battery you have also come in plain clothes, as plain as you can be anyway.
>>
>>3774196

“Hear all hear all” Terry yells at the few people who have come. “The New World’s Hope first monthly meeting is now starting. Please inform of your acts of this month and what you plan to do for the next one.

Nobody spoke at first, it is clear that everybody feels a little bit awkward, specially Kame as he’s a soldier at heart and not someone used to give speeches or reports in this way. Not wanting for this to become too embarrassing you decide to go first.

“I have built a couple of Robot Workbenches and used them to build forty robots, twenty Protectrons, and twenty Mr.Handies, they all have basic AI, no real personality modules or anything fancy. I will grant five of each type to you two Marga and Kame to aid you in your respective fields. I will keep another five of each for myself and the remaining five Protectrons and Mr.Handies can be stored to be used as replacements in case one breaks down or perhaps even be rented to particular citizens.” You say.

“Robots are...empty husks, they are not nature touched.” Adds Marga with a voice that sounds like the rustling of dry leaves. “But even they can be one with nature if one works enough with them. I will gladly accept them, they will be really useful in gardening, farming and replantation work. Thank you, Dillinger.” She says with a soft nod.

“Can I modify them?” Asks Kame.

“Yes sure, feel free to ask my people to add weapons, armor or whatever you might. No screwing with their AIs or Subroutines without my approval and supervision thought the last thing we need right now is some berserk robots running loose.” You say.

Kame simply nods softly, apparently respecting and approving your ways.

“As you can all see the island is starting to get green and alive, but it isn’t enough. I’ve been talking with the local ship captains to bring me certain seeds and animals, despite being Vegan myself due to my condition as a Floramancer mutant I understand that the population needs meat sources to be healthy, during the next month we will introduce brahmin, rabbits, chickens, pigeons, iguanas and especially cats to deal with the rat population. Brahmins, Cats and Chickens will be in the city and its farms while pigeons, iguanas, and rabbits will be released on the wild and when their populations become big enough we will able to start hunting seasons to cull their numbers and avoid overpopulation”
>>
>>3774198

As she spoke many people came and started listening, to these people food was their top priority right now. When she was done Kame started shortly afterward.

“I formed a small militia made from mercs, old bounty hunters, renegade soldiers from Ohana and Kanaloa and anyone willing to fight. We took the different ships and scouted Hawaii to see what’s the situation right now. The War between Ohana and the Sons continues and seems to be a war that will be raging for long, as both nations are similarly equally powerful. The Sons have better technology, weapons, vehicles robots and access to drones but Ohana has way more soldiers and counts with the help of the Enclave, these fascists have completely abandoned any attempt at hiding and have revealed themselves as the true leaders behind Ohana. I can’t even imagine what kind of tragedies are happening in that god-forsaken country now. There are rumors of Kanaloa taking corpses from their battles and using inhumane technology to fill them with bionic weapons and reanimate their bodies and use them as recycled soldiers. The Enclave is also releasing genetic abominations upon the battlefields and there have been many sights of psychic individuals causing havoc. Of course, as everybody knows psykers are at a thing, but they are really rare, we have never seen them in such numbers and never so aggressive and focused, so there is surely some kind of technology or something afoot that creates and controls them, clones perhaps?”

He sighs and lights a thick San Francisco sunlights cigar.

“Damn, things were much simpler when there were only human and robotic soldiers. The High Evolutionary is also entering into the fray of war, Hawaii is a forbidden island for several reasons, it's an island covered in a death-jungle, the only thing inside is crazed tribals, raider gangs and mutant monsters and the only settlement on the island is an old pre-War prison turned into a fortress dedicated to war and death. The Super-Mutants control that island with an iron grip, the tribes, and gangs fight to become stronger and prove their worth to the High Evo lords and gain the possibility of becoming a Super-Mutant and according to their beliefs, evolving further and becoming nearly perfect. The place is so dangerous that the pirates instead went to the second most dangerous place in all of Hawaii, the Old World Mourn, when word spread of how we kicked their asses, Kunuiakea, the leader of the High-Evolutionary sent several emissaries and gave them an offer. Several hectares of land in the eastern coast of Hawaii, a land that would be never attacked by Raiders, Tribals or critters and would be for them to build their new pirate paradise, all in exchange of becoming their personal navy when the time comes.”
>>
>>3774200

“When the time comes?” Asks Terry.

“When Ohana and Kanaloa are too burned out, too weak, then, they will attack and kill both armies with ease. And without the only things that could stop them in their way, they will have total liberty to attack the rest of the islands and put them all under their salvage rule. If you think that Hawaii is bad now then you haven’t seen anything yet. If we don’t act quickly we will wish we are dead.”

Kame talks bluntly, perhaps too bluntly, but Terry was the one who wanted an open meeting, one where everybody could see and hear what is going on. Now that there are several people gathered everybody starts to mumble and whisper, clearly nervous.

“And what will we do about it?” Asks a little boy, no older than seven.

“Well, the Brotherhood of Steel has contacted me. They are impressed with our achievement and wishes to build an embassy on the island. They would offer military and technological aid in the exchange of thirty percent of our total energetic output. Dillinger, since technology is your field I didn’t give them an answer yet. I want them here, but I wanted to know what do you think about it.” Despite not knowing you Kame respected you, you can’t avoid feeling respect from him too due to his attitude.

If the Brotherhood gets in the island then you would have access to their forge, workbenches, and other crafting stations without needing to go to the PMV Valdez, they will also give a decent boost of defense with all their weapons and power-armored soldiers and perhaps some of the local human kids might also decide to join them. Their presence might also be good for the economy as the soldiers, scribes and other brotherhood personnel might spend their caps in the local shops and businesses, once they are built. If another of their missions also pops up you will be able to simply head into the embassy and ask them to transport you. On the other side, their presence might make some people nervous and taking thirty percent of the total energetic output might end becoming really draining for your island once the entire electrical grid is built and laid.

>We need to be strong together. Allow for the Brotherhood to build their embassy on the island and to use 30% of your energy.
>No, I have experienced how the Brotherhood acts, they are ever hungry leeches of tech and power, they will end biting the hand that feeds them.
>Think of a counter-offer. See if they accept. (Write in.)
>Other option: Write in.
>>
>>3774204
If we are already producing excess energy
>We need to be strong together. Allow for the Brotherhood to build their embassy on the island and to use 30% of your energy
Otherwise no. We need to focus on fortifying the island first and foremost. Or AT LEAST locking down our airspace.
>>
>>3774222
>If we are already producing excess energy
The thing is, that right now we have the nuclear reactor up and running but no electrical grid laid out, we don't know if what we have will be enough for the entire island if we give them 30% of our power.
>>
>>3774232
Well in that case I vote no.
>renegotiate a deal once we know what we have in terms of energy production capability/scale.
>>
>>3774235
+1
>>
>>3774235
Also be Polite about turning the deal down, emphasizing on how early in its life this government is and decisions this big this early are really risky when we barely have the necessities of survival up and running. And keep Dillinger's involvement in the NWH gov as hidden as possible from the BoS lest they pressure us into enacting some hostile takeover from the inside.

and if we contact them, ask them about the bike, it's been way too long

Also, while we deny the power thing until our power system is better, accept the deal about the embassy

Rolled 1 (1d2)

Alright, voting time is closed. Studying how much energy we will need wins.

Rolling to see if our island is able to run smoothly with less than 70%.energy.

>Need more than 70%

Alright so we can afford having them leeching our energy. Should we invite them then?

As much as I don't like the idea it's our best chance at survival.

Yeah let’s invite dem
>>

let's.
plus with a bit of luck -someone- will move here
>>
>>3774204

"I... As much as I don't like the idea it might be our best chance at survival." You end saying. "Give me a couple of days to run calculations and stress tests to see if the island could work with only seventy percent of energy."

The meeting ends and privately along with Marga and Kame you are given 2500 caps each. All paid in bottlecaps or in objects. All taken from the treasures found on the island.

While most of the people of the island aren't paid in food, shelter, and water for their work instead of receiving caps you three are given a monthly salary. When the island's shops and other businesses start becoming the norm everybody will be given some money to start with, around 500 caps, enough to kickstart a small economy that might boom over the years.

As the island flourishes and grows so will be your rewards and you will start receiving things like more money, tax breaks, favors from high places, who knows, only time will tell.

For the next two days you go and check on the nuclear reactor, see its energetic outputs and do several calculations with all your techie workers and friends, and find that the reactor is powerful enough to power the entire island and even has enough to spare and accept the Brotherhood’s deal without suffering from power outages.

With a sigh, you inform Kame of this and he immediately starts to write a letter accepting the offer. Seeming pretty excited about it. Hopefully, this will mean that you will have your Rocketbike returned soon. And who knows perhaps with Elora being so eager to explore the world and live outside the Valdez she might end moving too.

Now that you are done with that all you gotta do is decide what you, your men and your robots will be working on during the next month.

>Choose two options:

>Focus on building an electrical grid for the island, giving everybody electrical lights. Right now less than half of the island's inhabitants have access to electricity.
>Focus on building defense measures and turrets, protecting the island from external threats. Right now there are only fifteen working turrets, not enough to cover the entire island.
>Focus on building a working harbor and drydock so ships can safely dock, refuel and be repaired. Right now the ships are all anchored around the island and have no way of being repaired or refueling.
>Create more robots, use them to create a small secret army only loyal to you that you could work along with the Nightstalker crew and you could use to defend the island, defend your properties or even send on missions across Hawaii
>Focus on plumbing, even if it's just public fountains at the start both people and plant are going to need clean, unsalted water
>Focus on creating an armory for everybody to have proper weapons and armor. Right now, the mercs and soldiers under Kame's are properly equipped the rest have little to no armor and mostly weak weapons.
>>

I meant to say are paid

This'll attract more citizens = more tax income and manpower

ESPECIALLY shit like SAMs and CIWSs, preferrably with a radar adn/or LIDAR system to support it. we do not want a repeat of Rustfields. NOTHING get's in our airspace without us knowing and stays alive for more than S E C O N D S!

Yeah ...no.

We have the brains but lack the tech to do that kind of stuff. And you think that the BoS will allow for It. Please

>Focus on building a working harbor and drydock so ships can safely dock, refuel and be repaired. Right now the ships are all anchored around the island and have no way of being repaired or refueling.

Most of our people rely on their boats for trade or fishing, being able to more easily dock or repair them will enhance their ability to support us and bring us closer to other markets.

>Create more robots, use them to create a small secret army only loyal to you that you could work along with the Nightstalker crew and you could use to defend the island, defend your properties or even send on missions across Hawaii

Long term we should look into using our authority to take a degree of the supplies / labour under our command and use it to improve that Island that is held entirely by the Radio-AI since it gave us permission to use there as a base: if we are smart about it we could use robots to construct defences, farms and god knows what else, securing us a independent powerbase and ensuring that the AI is safe.

With a secret base like that, we could slowly eliminate the ships of various other factions, take them there and restore them to good order, slowly creating a dangerous battle fleet under our command to help neutralise the risk of the High Evo lords.

Along with your group of gearheads you all start building the different pipes for the water and electric cables to for the water network and electrical grid, this particular task is way easier than building robots at the workbenches but since you need to lay these pipes for miles it ends becoming a back-breaking and incredibly tedious job, with workers even needing to do extra hours every day of the week just to meet the demand. After two entire weeks and with several miles of pipes built you divide the teams in two, one tasked with doing more pipes, the other in digging in the soil and laying the pipes all across the city. Each team focuses on one task for an entire week, then switch so it isn’t as monotonous. Thank god you have your robots, otherwise, this would have been an impossible task and you would have to focus in only one resource, either water or electricity.

Despite being their boss you also earn the bread by the sweat of your brow. You work more than twelve hours a day, every day of the week. Digging and encountering metal instead of more soil it’s a weird experience, but you all get used to it pretty quickly. Most of the nights you are so tired that you simply head home and fall upon your bed in the Nightstalker, a few other nights you stay awake for a few more hours and drink a cool one with the boys in the Rustbucket, your crew in the Nightstalker or with your own workers in the beach named after you.
>>
>>3774820

By the end of the month, all of the island has access to electricity. Several public lamposts have also been built and installed and the nights are now brightly illuminated thanks to countless of neon signs and the lightbulbs of all colors, sizes, and shapes that the different settlers have found and installed on their homes. Now that there is electricity people have also started to use electric fans, radios, jukeboxes, and washing machines, adding an extra layer of background noise to an otherwise dead silent island.

In the last day of the month, two things change on the island. Several Vertibirds come flying from afar, landing on the northern coast and from these several Brotherhood Knights, Paladins and Scribes descend, all carrying their Power-Armors, energy weapons, fake smiles, and enough concrete and rebar to build a bunker, which they surely planned to do, embassy my ass. The second change is in your terminal on the Nightstalker, it’s light blinking and softly beeping, informing you that you had been assigned a new mission.

>Fuck them; you have better things to do. Meet them and tell them that you don’t want to continue doing missions for them. Sarge quit, you can too.
>Meet them and get in one of the Vertibirds, tell your workers, crew, and family that you will be out for a couple of weeks.
>Other option, write in.

after a few more paydays we go strictly private sector; either making Pono company great again or making our own PMC.

Can we have the robots do something in our stead while we’re gone?
>>
>>3774925
Alright, we meet with the BoS then, now its time to decide what our workers and our bots will do while we are out.

>Focus on building defense measures and turrets, protecting the island from external threats. Right now there are only fifteen working turrets, not enough to cover the entire island.

>Focus on developing a small factory for settlers to work at and gain money while you produce objects.
>Focus on developing a garage where you can modify and repair vehicles and Power-Armor or the population.
>Focus on creating a research lab to be able to create better and more complex technologies.

Sorry guys I wanna continue but I'm falling asleep. So I will leave it for today, a shame because I really want to write and I feel kinda inspired today.

Tomorrow's my free day so my running hours will be longer yay!

+10 Science and Rad Resistance. The Standard Perk one, because there's two perks named the same for some God-forsaken reason.
>>
>>3774971
Quick question, will we ever see the return of the traditional combat i.e "you have x HP, the enemy has Y hp, roll Zd6 to determine damage", or have we permanently moved onto the "roll d12 and see what happens"? If latter, what happens to all of the perks that are clearly made for the formwer system?

Because I'm dumb as a brick that's why. I will rename the Racial Version one something different the moment come up with a good name.

>>3774987
>Quick question, will we ever see the return of the traditional combat i.e "you have x HP, the enemy has Y hp, roll Zd6 to determine damage", or have we permanently moved onto the "roll d12 and see what happens"?
Yes, but only with enemies that can stand a chance against us. Unlike in real tabletop, rolling dice here can take minutes, and that can make combat long and tedious. For enemies like swarms of radroaches or other weaklings we will continue with the d12 system because it makes things faster and easier and helps keeping up with the pace.

>If latter, what happens to all of the perks that are clearly made for the former system?
They are still taken in consideration. For example we got the "and stay back!" perk that allows us to tackle down enemies with our unarmed attacks and in the last fight against the chained ghouls I described how our punches throw them to the floor.

>>3775106
>Jesus Christ we automatically succeed now on all science rolls.
We are level 12 and we took comprehension really soon. So we have been getting a lot of skillpoints from the very beginning. Most games with a level limit have it at around level 20 to 30. Topping a single skill by level 12 isn't so far fetched.

You give your workers clear and precise instructions and tell them what you want them to do during the following month, and you even tell them that Nikoley, your best engineer, is to substitute you in case you don't return in more than a month.

These two projects are cooperative. Half of you men are to work in building a harbor along with Marga and her workers and the other half in crafting and placing the turrets and other defenses along with Kame and his soldiers. It's a good thing that your people are meeting and working with other teams, having the population joining together for a single cause helps them to strengthen relationships between them.

As you give the instructions and tell them about your sudden leave many of your workers give you weird looks but they know it’s better not to ask. You do something similar with your crew at the Nightstalker and tell them that if you don't return in a month they are to follow Saltgut's orders and consider him as their new captain. Since they part of the island’s population the Rustbucket’s crew has started to work for Marga and your soldiers have are now working for Kame as guards, but you know that despite considering the New World Hope their new home they don't hold any loyalty to it, and that if you ordered them to sail somewhere else they would obey.

With that done you went onto your private room in your warship and got ready to rumble, you loaded a fresh and fully charged Fusion Core on your Power-Armor, reloaded all your weapons and added new Fusion-Cells and Flamer fuel to your weapons. You put your cloak over your armor and even had a quick shave to avoid your new beard from chaffing against your helmet.

Slowly you get out and head into the northern part of the island to meet with the Brotherhood, they didn’t lose any second and were already moving debris and shoveling the floor to build their new “Embassy”. A few people had come to see them and a couple of Scribes were talking with them in a friendly manner, the Knights were not as cheerful and simply kept close to their resources and building materials, with their Laser-Gatlings tightly grasped, clearly distrusting the wastelanders.
>>
>>3776059

Once you approach them the different Knights get tense and prepare to shoot. One thing is seeing wastelanders and the occasional soldier, but an individual carrying a power-armor and several high-tech weapons checked all their red flags and sent them into a red alarm state. You walk with your arms raised high to prove that you are not armed, which is a pretty hard thing to do when you hands are diamond-tipped claws that are constantly spewing lighting and surrounded by a corona of sparking electricity.

“Take me to your leaders.” You say with your booming voice.

The Knights don’t answer and simply aim their weapons at you.

“Stand back citizen!” One says.

The Scribes and Wastelanders that were chatting separate and move away, the wastelanders run to safety and return home, the scribe goes to the Vertibird’s Ham-Radio to communicate with the Valdez.

Several tense minutes pass by, but in the end, you are given the green light. The Knights are given instructions from their helmet’s radio-communicators and then, after doubting for a while they finally put their guns down.

“I don’t know who are you or why the hell you are to be transported into the Valdez. But I will keep an eye on you.” Says one of the Knights acting all cocky.

You simply walk past and head into the Vertibird while flipping him the bird with your clawed lighting middle finger and see him fume in anger, wanting to fight you but being unable as he has to follow orders.

After getting in the vehicle you ascend into the skies and for the first time ever see your island from above. Honestly, it now looks like a real island, a very bare and barren one at that but not one that looks like it has been built over a pile of junk.

The Valdez is not very far away so the Vertibird doesn’t flies too high. During your travel you also see the Glowshore, the small island where the AI radio-host Rainbow Jack broadcasts from. The Brotherhood are now in control of the place, and it shows, as you can see several vertibirds parked down there and a few soldiers and other personnel moving around.

As you land on the Valdez you can see that the place is as busy as always. Once more you are taken across secret passages onto Elder Vasquez’s meeting room. You are the first one to come, in fact, you are completely alone there, you came as soon as you received the notice after all. Poison and Tankdozer still have around 46 hours to come.

>Go check if the Scribes are done with your rocketbike, you want it back damn it.

Not wasting any time you leave the room and don't giving a damn if any of the workers around see you you walk towards the forge. The place is as usual in full production, kilns are full of fire, sparks are flying everywhere, and the noise of welders working the metal, hammers hitting constantly and flames cracking fill the air.

It doesn't' takes you long to find a rocketbike, but not your rocketbike. This one has several little differences, it seems that the local scribes couldn't completely reverse engineer your genius and had to think of different methods of locomotion, and other small changes that made the bike end looking radically different, sturdier, bigger and more industrial. Your bike will still be the fastest one in all the Wasteland, the Brotherhood rocketbikes are more directed towards war. Next to the bike you find desk with a terminal a Scribe collapsed on the floor next to dozens of empty coffee cups and thousands upon thousands of pages full of mathematic and chemical formulas, diagrams and other writings, he apparently worked hard on the bike and was transcribing everything in a nearby terminal to digitalize everything and save it for posterity. She's simply soundly asleep, her report half-written. You cover her with your cape and sit on her seat, the poor chair cracking heavily under the weight of your power-armor. You quickly go across her pages and what she wrote on the terminal and start reading it all.
>>
>>3776217

Their rocketbikes have an emplacement between the bike handles that can be fitted with different weapons like Combat rifles, Gauss-Rifles, Flamethrowers, and other big similarly sized weapons. There is also a small charging station located behind the pilot's seat that can be used to recharge fusion cores, have a small automated turret installed there to defend against tailgating enemies or have an Eyebot connected to it to control and drive the rocketbike while you focus on shooting. Honestly, they did a really good job and added several interesting new features, perhaps you could even add some of their innovations on your own Rocketbike.

You check on the terminal data entries and find several logs about how they tore your rocketbike piece by piece and learned its secrets. There isn't a single mention about you, fuckers. The good thing is that one of the last entries details where your bike is. You travel to the container where they stored it and with a single punch open it and reveal it's marvelous contents. You can almost hear an angelic chorus as you open the container doors.

Holding back tears you check on your pip-Boy's clock and see that only 3 hours have passed since you came here.

>Go check on Elora, tell her about your new adventures, make the guy that is into her jealous as shit, and see if you can finally score with her.

Bandits in power armor etc etc. If/when they plan on fucking us over we need to know asap.

Yeah this, especially because Glowshore was specifically not meant to be for the BOS but just the members of our assault team: if nothing else we need to check in with the AI.

The Glowshore is now in control of the BoS, the AI accepted it, once the war is over they are going to be promptly kicked and out merc company will get the place.
>>
>>3776290
Still a bit of distrust towards the BoS is warranted imho. In fo1 and 2 they seemed nice enough, in 3 they were genuinely good towards the wastelanders, in NV they were seclusionist babies who hid in their little bunker because they couldn't handle reality, and in 4 they were just a bunch of selfish zealots. But most importantly they have a strong distaste for anything nonhuman. What happens when they find out that we have a mutant and a ghoul in high places of power in the NWH government? What about our ghoul residents? Most of them didn't exactly choose to become ghouls.
>>
>>3776290
Ah my mistake, I remembered it being he gave Pono Company permission to use it but not the BOS, forgot some important details there.

>>3776334
Not to mention their whole thing is "restrict tech to themselves" in most games. Even if we assume they aren't going to try and outright take over Hawaii's island chain, it is all too likely that they'll stop us getting a lot of pre-war tech or developing tech of our own.
>>
>>3776334
Forgot to add that as >>3776343 said they're all luddites to at least some extent, and Dillinger is literally a fucking inventor. Though this hawaiian chapter seems to be much less so than the mainland chpaters since they are will7ng to use SoK tech as well as our beautiful baby the faggot scribes thought to be impossible. THAT REMINDS ME while we're still in the forge area we should add ourselves some credit to their rocketbike documentation. That should keep those nerds seething for long enough to come up with something new to dab on them even harder.
>>
>>3776353
Agreed. We should make sure that it is clear who invented this magnificent beast of a machine.

Well, you can't compare the BoS of Fo1 & 2 with the Brotherhood of Fallout 3 and 4 or the Brotherhood of New Vegas. They are different chapters and so is the BoS from Nukaloha.

These are more or less like the Brotherhood of Fallout 1 and 2, they are descendants of that chapter after all. They tolerate Ghouls, Psykers, and Super-Mutants but will never accept them in their ranks. They are not like the BoS of New Vegas that don't accept outsiders, in many times they have said that they are interested in recruiting kids and raising them, but only if they are human.

>But most importantly they have a strong distaste for anything nonhuman. What happens when they find out that we have a mutant and a ghoul in high places of power in the NWH government? What about our ghoul residents? Most of them didn't exactly choose to become ghouls.
It's kinda like Caesars Legion. Nonhumans can be on their territories and will be tolerated to a degree, but will never be part of their ranks.

This particular BoS chapter dislikes military high tech or technology that can be weaponised or has been created with nefarious purposes.

>Cars?
Cool!
>Guns!
Depends on if you are cool with them or not
>Plasma Rifles?
Only acceptable if they can trust you

Next time the BoS asks us for our tech we tell them that WE provide our own (read: the original) documents to them with full credit where it's due (us obviously). And in case they disagree and try to reverse-engineer our shit anyway we should boobytrap them. If they come complaining to us about any losses we can tell them it's an antitheft system since they literally tried to steal our shit.

Okay so they are slightly less shit than most but I'd still prefer to leave them on a return course back to the mainland or take control over their chapter.

>I don't get this since Proctor Ingram is living proof that PA has great medical use potential,
True, but Ingram is thousands of miles away, they might not know that she exists. Ironically enough, Dillinger might have meet or heard about Ingram thought.

>and the augumented strength is great for construction workers.
Also true, as we have seen in Fallout 76. But the thing is that most people won't use the Power-Armor for construction. I was talking about private property, they won't mind if a civilian has a car, a robot or a gun, but why would it need a Power-Armor? It's a piece of complex military technology and that's why they might only allow for very few individuals outside of their Brotherhood to have it.

If at some point, a construction company is created and the workers want to use Power-Armors then I guess that the BoS would intervene and study if give them the greenlight, of course after they have stripped the armors or weapons and anything that isn't required to construct.

>Maybe at somepoint we can create exosuits based on PA tech?
Sure! Perhaps something like pic related? We have the brains to develop that for sure, but we as usual are lacking on the tools and resources.

With your rocketbike next to you, you return to the meeting room minding no attention to the different workers that give you funny looks. By the time you return the meeting room is still empty, Vasquez won't stay here for two entire days, he has more important matters to attend to and surely will wait until the rest arrive to finally come here.

Thanks to your scientific prowess getting inside of his locked terminal is pretty easy. Hopefully, he doesn't have any keylogger or monitoring programs that will register your intrusion.

Once inside you see several log reports, his personal diary, access to the Valdez's database and controls for the ship itself.

Before doing anything you explore the different archives, background programs, and even the terminal's task manager to see if there are any bugs or hidden security measures. Luckily for you, there are none, the Brotherhood thinks that they are all safe and protected in their ivory towers, or in this case, in their steel ship.

You access the log reports and see several dates, most are historical log reports from past Elders, some even go as far as their days before they reached Hawaii and still lived in the mainland.

Since you don't need decades of old history about them you simply skip all of those and decide to check the newest ones instead. It is checking all these logs and dates that you notice how long you have been in Hawaii. You came here on the 23rd of October of 2327 and it is now almost march of the next year. You had lived the New Year and didn't even notice or celebrated it at all, or perhaps you did and you were so high or drunk that you don't even remember it. Honestly, now that you are here you have also noticed that your skin has become more tanned and your hair lighter, almost red in color.

Deciding to start three months from now you click on the first log report and check only the important ones.

THE SMART CAPTAINS SIMPLY REELED WHAT THEY HAD AND SAILED AWAY, RUNNING AWAY FROM THE CONFLICT, THE ONES WHO STAID BEHIND ENDED INADVERTENTLY SAILING ONTO THE NAVAL MINES OR WITH THEIR NESTS TRAPPED IN THE CHAINS THAT HANG THE MINES ONTO THE SEAFLOOR AND THEN BEING BOARDED AND LOOTED.
I COULDN’T STAND THE BLODSHED SO I ENDED SENDING A COUPLE OF VERTIBIRDS TO OPEN FIRE, WARNING SHOTS TO SCARE THEM. THE NEXT TIME THIS HAPPENS IT WON’T BE WARNING SHOTS.

MY SCOUTS HAVE FOUND SEVERAL PRE-WAR MAPS DETAILING THE MARITIME SEABED SURROUNDING THE HAWAIIAN ARCHIPELAGO AND THE MANY UNDERWATER BASES THAT THE AMERICAN MILITARY BUILT BACK IN THE DAY. MOST OF THESE MAPS ARE NOW OUTDATED AND USELESS AS THE GREAT WAR AND THE EARTHQUAKES THAT HAPPENED SHORTLY AFTER RADICALLY CHANGED THE GEOGRAPHY OF THE SEAFLOOR. STILL, AFTER COMPARING IT WITH NEWER AND MORE UPDATED HAWAIIAN MAPS I COULDN’T AVOID NOTICING THAT THERE IS AN ISLAND NAMED GLOWSHORE THAT IS EXACTLY WHERE A PRE-WAR LISTENING STATION WAS LOCATED. APPARENTLY, THAT’S WHERE THE LOCAL MUSIC RADIO STATION BROADCASTS FROM, IT CANNOT BE A COINCIDENCE. I’M CALLING THE PONO COMPANY.

GLOWSHORE IS OURS; I HAVE SENT SEVERAL VERTIBIRDS WITH MY BEST SCRIBES AND KNIGHTS TO TAKE CONTROL OF THE AREA. A TOTAL POPULATION OF TWENTY WORKERS WILL BE SENT THERE TO STABLISH A BASE. THE ENTIRE BUILDING IS CONTROLLED BY AN ADVANCED AI, ONE THAT HAS BEEN DEVELOPING A REAL PERSONALITY AND GROWING FOR THE LAST TWO CENTURIES, IT COULD POSE A DANGER, REAL HUMANLIKE ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCES SHOULDN’T EXIST, AND JOHN HENRY EDEN IS PROOF OF THAT.
WE WILL ALLOW FOR THE RADIO TO CONTINUE BROADCASTING MUSIC AND NEWS TO NOT RAISE SUSPICION ACROSS THE LOCAL POPULATION. IF THE AI PROVES TO BE UNCOOPERATIVE WE WILL NOT DOUBT TO ELIMINATE IT BEFORE IT CAN PROVE TO BE A THREAT TO US AND OUR CAUSE.

INDEPENDENT CITIZENS HURT AND AFFECTED BY THE WAR. THEY ALL TOGETHER FORMED A MILITIA AND LIBERATED THE ARTIFICIAL ISLAND FROM PIRATE CONTROL. THE ISLAND IS LITERALLY A MOUND OF PRE-WAR MILITARY TECHNOLOGY, WE ARE PLANNING ON CONTACT THEM AND OFFER SENDING A GROUP OF DIPLOMATIC AMBASSADORS, WE WILL OFFER THEM PROTECTION AND SOME LIMITED PRODUCTION AND FARMING TECHNOLOGY AND TOOLS IN EXCHANGE OF PART OF THEIR ELECTRICITY. AFTER WE ARE SETTLED WE WILL SCOUT THE CITY IN THE SEARCH OF ANY POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS TECHNOLOGY. WHO KNOWS WHAT KIND OF STRANGE PRE-WAR WEAPONS MIGHT BE HIDDEN DOWN THERE. WE DO NOT AIM TO TAKE CONTROL OF THE ISLAND BUT IF THE CITIZENS PROVE TO BE UNCOOPERATIVE THEN WE WON’T HAVE ANY OTHER OPTION.

USING THE FACULTIES OF THE GLOWSHORE WE HAVE MANAGED TO SPY SOME CONVERSATIONS FROM ENCLAVE OFFICIALS, THEY HAVE MENTIONED SOMETHING NAMED “PROJECT HORRIGAN”, AND ARE APPARENTLY TRANSPORTED HUNDREDS OF POUNDS OF CERAMITE, DURALUMINUM, SATURNITE, PLASTIC COMPOSITE, ULTRACITE, AND OTHER RARE ALLOYS AND ORES SOMEWHERE UNDERWATER. THE TRACKING OF THEIR SUBMARINE VESSELS ALWAYS ENDS AT ONE KLIK AWAY FROM THE SOUTHEASTERN COAST OF THE ISLAND OF HAWAII, WE BELIEVE THAT THE VESSELS EITHER DESCEND TOO MUCH FOR US TO TRACK THEM OR EITHER ENTER IN AN ELECTROMAGNETICALLY SHIELDED AREA THAT OUR SCANNERS CANNOT CROSS. THIS IS NOT OHANA OR KANALOA, THIS IS ALL ENCLAVE WORK. WE CANNOT ALLOW TO SEND OUR OWN MEN AND RISK BEING CAPTURED AND ASSOCIATED WITH THE INTRUSION. DESPITE NOT BEING INTO HIDING ANYMORE THE ENCLAVE IS STILL NEUTRAL TO US, THE ARMY OF OHANA ALONG WITH THE ENCLAVE CAN STILL DESTROY US. I’M CALLING THE PONO COMPANY.

Iunno man, who knows if the AI one day decides 40k or irl within 30 years style that the only way to save the planet is to get rid of all humans?
>>
>>3777022
Fair but I'd point out that they are saying universally "this form of life has no right to exist" which is rather foolish and is much the same as saying mutants or psykers don't deserve to exist.

I get hating AIs that turn genocidal but this is something in fallout we know isn't too common depending on which era of Fallout we're dealing with. Admittedly in the earliest games it was fairly rare to see human level AI but those we did seemed to be mostly together, ignoring the Fallout Tactics AI but it was a partly biological system and inherited it's flaws from them.

The later games didn't generally have too many human level robots, assuming we think the Mr handy type intelligence's aren't that smart and instead work off lesser-thinking greater programming but even then that leaves us with Synths of every generation, ADA and plenty of others.
>>
I don't think synths and the like are even nearly powerful enough to go genocidal, as it seems a pretty common scifi trope that it's always the extremely powerful AIs that turn against humans. HALO did it, system shock did it, 2001: a space odyssey did it, even tony starks fucking pet project did it. besides even if a synth went full 1943 germany it's not like they're all connected to each other in any way. But the supercomputers usually have access to really important shit, like nukes and such.

They are AI however and can most certainly go Genocidal with the right resources and time given their biological immortality.

>seems a pretty common scifi trope that it's always the extremely powerful AIs that turn against humans.
Actually that is mostly because of a presumption that an AI will for some reason want to eliminate humans: either because of a flaw in it's logic or because of a emotional hatred of humans. That or because we enslave them in which case we kinda brought it down on ourselves.

There's nothing to say that a human-type AI wouldn't be quite a lot less violent than most media presents them as. Especially because media loves having an easy enemy and all that shit.

>But the supercomputers usually have access to really important shit, like nukes and such.
True. Doesn't make it any less terrible to automatically hate them for existing.

But by the looks of it, the AI pals seem to be alright so far. The brotherhood will only intervene if it’s uncooperative (albeit that’s a very broad term)

I mean, we can try to convince Elder Vasquez that we should probably leave the AI do what it wants.
>>
>>3777005
>” What’s project Horrigan?”

Unknow so far. Stays to explain the elder, turning off his terminal and forcing you out.

"We believe it to be some kind of new prototype Power-Armor. An armor that could give them an edge in the war, the advantage that they need to win, and as much as we dislike the Sons of Kanaloa for basically going against every one of our beliefs we believe that if there has to be a winner in this war, it has to be them. The Enclave should never have full control and access to the Kanaloan tools, machinery and factories. You are going to infiltrate in their underwater base and obtain as much technology as you can and if possible, take control of the entire place for our cause. In case of project Horrigan being nearly finished then stealing their tech might not stop their advances, only delay them for a short while, if that happens then you will all need to destroy the place, we will have several nuclear warheads ready on the submarine that will transport you."

You sigh. Every mission seems more suicidal and dangerous.

>"Alright, but if there's are prototype Power-Armors in there I want one."

>>3778357
But we could reverse engineer the enclave proto PA and use it to upgrade the Memento Mori T45 and give the stripped protoPA to someone like the nightstalkers secon in command. I just wish we could've gotten more backstory on our crew...

Alright if that is what we're doing sure but my main point is that the PA we have is good enough but with full forge / armoury access with no cost, we could replace all of our gear with top tear shit, optimise it and be ready to ship out.

We would get the PA after the mission, my worry is this is too hard for us and that we need the upgrades before we get into it.

You stand up and despite towering over him, you feel kind of weak, he is the leader and ruler of this place, you are nothing but a guest in his castle.

"Is there anyone planned to replace Sarge?" You ask, wondering how the old man is doing.

"Not really, he has gotten a room for himself and as far as I've been told he doesn't interact much with the rest, albeit he's not hostile or aggressive to any Brotherhood member, he just does his own thing. Despite being offered clean water and food rations he prefers to collect his own rainwater and hunt he local wildlife or forage mushrooms and other plants for food. He spends most of his time either training, hunting Mirelurks or inside of his room. My soldiers have told me that while inside of his room they can hear him mumble, laugh and sometimes sigh loudly. He apparently chats with the local AI and, seems content of his current situation.”

"Alright, but if there's are prototype Power-Armors in there I want one."

Vasquez looks at your sternly but all that stares at him back are your bright and stormy eyes.

“God damnit, keep pulling of my strings and I’ll snap at some point… Very well! If someone outside of our faction has to have it then it better be you.”

He then dismissed you.

Up to us. If we decide to go without the PA then Poison and You will be the stealthy team and Tankdozer will be the last resource, if you go with the Power Armor then Tankdozer and you will go Guns blazing. Perhaps it can be 50/50 with Poison stealing blueprints and sensible information while you two create a bloody diversion.

Your new Rocketbike might not be of much help underwater, but who knows when you will have another opportunity to modify it like this. You excuse yourself from the room and with the bike on your side you once more take it to the garage, this time with the intention of pushing its capabilities to the limit.

Since the Rocketbike is clearly smaller than a ship modding this vehicle will be cheaper, but on the other hand you won't have as much space, so the number of mods won't be as high, perhaps when you have more time you might have the chance to work on how to squeeze more mods into your little baby.

>Choose up to 3 mods!

>Eyebot Co-pilot:
You can install an Eyebot in the back seat that will help you maneuvering and controlling the Rocketbike during high-speed chases or airborne combats.
+10 to Pilot and +10 on all combat-related skills
1000 caps

>Fusion Core Recharger:
Installs a somewhat bulky fusion generator that is able to feed of part of your rocketbike's waste and recycle it into energy to refill Fusion Cores. It's not an efficient process but it works. It will fill an entire Fusion Core for each hour that you have driven.
1000 caps

>Chainsaws:
Several industrial saws that deploy horizontally when the Rocketbike is flying and automatically stop and move back to a safe vertical position along where the wheels should be when the bike is stopped. Complete infantry killer, not very good with armored enemies
1500 caps.

>Lighting Bolt:
Adds several tesla coils across the rocket bike, making it deal EMP damage against anyone close enough. Very good against robots, vehicles, and Power-Armor, useless against living beings.
1500 caps.

>Weapon emplacement:
A small modified bike handle that can have a machinegun, or similarly rifle sized and shaped weapons installed on it. You could use it to put your Laser Canon.
500 caps

>Turret:
A turret installed on the back of the bike that will help with pestering or following enemies. It can be a machinegun, laser, plasma or flamer turret.
1000 caps.

>Spikes:
The crew of the vehicle gains +1 STR while inside the vehicle.
250 caps.

>Extra potent lights:
The crew of the vehicle gains +1 PER while inside of the vehicle.
250 caps.

>Extra Armor Plates:

250 caps.

>Lucky Fuzzy Dices:
The crew of the vehicle gains +1 LCK while inside the vehicle.
250 caps.

>Water cooling system:
Can negate the effects of fire in the vehicle.
1000 caps.

>EMP Shield:
Makes it immune to EMP attacks.
1,250 caps.

>Stealth Boy Array:
Allows the vehicle to be temporally invisible.
1,500 caps.

>Grav Plates:
Applies some antigravity plates that make your vehicle hover and makes it lighter. It makes it require 50% fewer caps to refuel it.
1,500 caps.

>Turbonucleon Engine:
Gives the “Full Throttle” ability, allowing it to double the ramming dice once per combat.
1,000 caps.

>Safety Bars:
The vehicle suffers 10% less of damage from all damage sources.
550 caps.

You get to work and somehow manage to put a welding helmet above your Power-Armor helmet and then grab a welder and get ready to do wonders.

Over the next hour, you manage to change the bike's handles for the specially modified ones that can have a rifle mounted in between them so the weapon can be fired while riding. Your Laser Cannon fits perfectly; you could also mount a machinegun, a shotgun, a sniper rifle, a laser or plasma rifle, and even a grenade launcher.

The next step is to install another BoS modification, in this case, a small plug where a single Eyebot can be connected and gain limited control of the bike, allowing you to focus on firing your enemies while the robot rides for you. You even create a small Eyebot in the nearby robot workbench. It's a standard model, nothing too fancy, it will hover along with you while you walk and will aid in combat as best as it can, surely in the future you will have the chance of modifying the robot to your tastes.

Finally, as the last touch, you add lead shielding across the rocketbike's most sensible circuits and electrical systems, the ship is now slightly bulkier, but the change won't be noticeable in its top speed.

Happy with your results you travel back to the meeting room and see that Poison and Tankdozer are already there. Honestly, you missed both of them, and it looks like they missed you too. You three sit in the meeting room and are talked about "Project Horrigan" you aren't given any new information, to be honest. After the short briefing, you all are informed of your possible rewards, Vasquez never mentions that you might end with a new Power-Armor. That was between him and you.
“10,000 caps, paid in real caps, not gold or money from other nation-states if you manage to destroy the area or steal technology and blueprints and halt their scientific development, five times more if you manage to obtain the underground laboratory for us. Now head into the hangar number three where the submarine is waiting for your arrival. Good luck. Ad Victoriam. Dismissed.”

You three are then escorted out by Power-Armored guards. They allow you to carry your Rocketbike as there is enough space in the Submarine, they don’t know why you would want such a thing in a place where it will be completely useless thought. Little do they know that all you want is to keep it away from them.

“So…” Starts to speak Poison once you three are inside. “Now we don’t have Sarge to give us orders, we should decide how to act in this mission. I vote for going stealthily.”

“I vote for goings guns blazing.” Says Tankdozer with a voice that sounds like two rocks having passionate grinding sex.

"Our enemies today won't be mirelurks or mere foot soldiers, today we will face the Enclave, possibly in power armor and with high-power energy weapons and sentry-bots at their disposal. We should expect very heavy resistance. I think our best shot is to go each one on his own and as stealthily as possible. Even if we go together if we meet them we are as good as dead, so if we get separated we might have a chance."

The submarine's hatch closes and then seals airtight with several hydraulic pistons. It's an old pre-War military submarine, small, cramped and claustrophobic. The airs in there are stale and slightly pungent-smelling, with a mixture of salt, oil, rust, and eye-watering chemicals flooding your nostrils as soon as you all get in. It doesn't take you long to miss natural sunlight, as the interior is dark and the only light sources around are some lightbulbs that barely illuminate the area with their dim warm light and the small blinking indicators and nixie tubes of the machinery that fills the sub.

Only a couple of minutes after the submarine has successfully sealed its engines turn on and it starts to descend into the ocean. This submarine was designed for stealthy attacks, it is small, nimble and doesn't even have quarters for its crew. The control room you are in is full of Brotherhood members operating the sonar and other machinery that guide the vessel. You three barely have space to move around. Looking across the sub's glass panes you see the other wasteland, the one underwater.

For several seconds the only thing that you see are chains upon chains, the chains that connect the Naval mines that surround the Valdez with the seabed, some mines are not at sea level and instead stay underwater, protecting the ship from submarine attacks too. From time to time, some bioluminescent fishes and other mutated fauna. Once you are deep enough the submarine activates its sonar and starts moving forward.

You had already seen the bottom of the ocean the moment you traveled down there to recover the treasure along with Duke. You had only witnessed a fraction of what is truly down there. Countless of ships and submarines, some with their nuclear reactors still active and with their lights on, creating eerie glowing lights that float around you. There are also dozens and dozens of human corpses, most being decrepit skeletons now. From time to time you can also see bodies chained to weights, all trying to float to the surface but being unable to, surely barbaric acts made by raiders or pirates. The corpses of gigantic sea monsters and their half-rotten remains also dot the sea, some of these skeletal remains are big enough for the submarine to navigate inside them. From time to time you can also see a small group of what the Brotherhood called Coralwalkers, ghouls that sank to the bottom of the ocean and stay alive simply from the radiation that fills the place, their bodies have become covered in coral growths and mollusks, and they now simply roam the area, suffering hell on earth, constantly dying yet never crossing the barrier.

There's an itch at the back of your head, a weird increasing sensation as if a worm had made its way inside your brain and is now toying with your grey matter. Every time you blink a weird shape forms on your pupils until it becomes branded on your eyes and you cannot stop seeing it even when your eyes are fully open. What was once a small itch has now turned into a whispering that is quickly rising in volume until you cannot stop hearing it no matter how much you cover your ears.

“Ph'nglui mglw'nafh Ug-Qualtoth R'lyeh wgah'nagl fhtagn”

Suddenly, a strange burning sensation starts to come from your left hip; you start to pat around it to see what’s going on as your vision starts to fog. It’s the copper bell; it’s glowing with a strange purple light, emitting a strange ethereal mist from it and vibrating on its own. As soon as you grab if a sudden weight pulls you down, the bell feels massive, something is very wrong with this thing.

Then, darkness.

When you wake up you see yourself out of your power-armor, several used stimpaks next to you along with and a couple of empty bags of Rad-Away and a third one that is being injected onto your right arm right now.

“W-wha?” You say weakly.

“Oh good, you are finally waking up. You suddenly collapsed onto Scribe Johnnan, he’s mostly fine. We took you out of your power-armor and you were mumbling something weird and with your eyes, nose, and ears hemorrhaging profusely. You somehow suddenly became heavily irradiated, we have another scribe checking on your power-armor to see if your Fusion-Core has some leak, but he says that everything is fine. Look, we can still cancel the mission; we simply nuke the place and call it a day. “

You feel pretty good right now, your mind is clear, no voices, no strange sensations, nothing.

>Take control of the Submarine by force, these scribes cannot stand a chance against you, sail to the place where the whispering voices began, you need to investigate further.

"I'm fine." You say, removing the IV from your arm and seeing some of your blood spurt onto the Submarine walls. Poison and Tankdozer help you stand up and then smile at you. You then crack your neck and knuckles and get back into your Memento Mori.

"Are we close yet?" You ask, wanting to get ready into the fray of war once more.

"Yes. We are just in the limit where our scanners lose contact with the Enclave submarines. Further on, it's all fog of war, we won't be able to establish contact with HQ and they won't be able to know anything about us." The Scribe says, grabbing all the empty Stimpaks and RadAway bags from the ground.

"Then let's get rolling." You say with a thumbs up.

Everybody gets back to their respective seats and the submarine goes further on. After advancing for a minute you all start to see a strange oddity in the water, flickering lights and strange glowing bubbles along with faint electrical arcs.

"What is that?" Tankdozer asks worried, it is the first time that you have sensed worry on his voice.
>>
>>3783530

Nobody replies as not even the smartest of the scribes in there knows the answer. The submarine advances further on and finally enters into the strange underwater anomaly, and then the entire ship's lights turn off. There are darkness and silence.

"The backup generator should have turned on by now." Says the submarine's captain.

You are now in an underwater mass grave, there are no lights, no power, no nothing, only and thousands upon thousands of cubic meters of highly irradiated water surrounding you all. The submarine continues going on and on, floating aimlessly and slowly falling onto the seabed. Someone is softly crying now. Just when you all are about to touch the ground and crash to your deaths the power returns, the Scribes immediately get to work and sweat bullets to ascend the machine up.

"I think it was some kind of Electromagnetic Force-field. This must be the thing that blocked all communications and hid everything from us. Their vessels must have some kind of special protection to avoid being damaged. I need a status report, now!"

"Our engines are at 60% of total power, the rest of the systems seem to be fine. I'm not sure if we could take it again."

"Then it better be an off switch somewhere in that base. Look up ahead; I can already see its outline.”

In front of you all an underwater base appeared. It was surprisingly big, spanning several hundreds of feet in all directions, with long rectangular towers that went upwards and pipes that connected to the ground or other building. There was an underwater volcano nearby, a glow coming from its caldera, the Enclave had built a geothermal plant in there and several turbines were spinning wildly and sending their power to the base.

The submarine quickly descends onto the base and one of the scribes gets to furiously smash the keyboard of a terminal, sweating as she introduced more and more passwords.

“The hacking program has found a backdoor! I’m hacking in!” She frantically says.

After a while, one of the nearby base’s hangar doors open, letting you all in. The sub quickly ascends and the exit hatch automatically opens. Everybody gets out; even the scribes who quickly get to install several laser turrets around the sub and other defenses. Tankdozer gets into the closest corridor and simply starts to run into it, taking cover behind ever corner before running in to avoid detection. Poison as usual, disappears, all you can see of her is a vent suddenly opening and something crawling inside.

>There must be some kind of map around, see if there is a nearby terminal that you can hack to get some intel.

You find a nearby wall terminal and easily manage to hack your way in.

It's a pretty generic terminal, one that asks you a username and a password as soon as you turn it on. Apparently the place is so big that instead of people possessing their own work terminals, many have been placed around the underwater laboratory, each worker has been given a username and a password and each one has different accesses and rights, similar to the database of the Valdez, but in a much bigger scale and complexity. You knew that this kind of networks could exist and had read about it in some old and crusty Programmer's Digest magazine but honestly, you were kind of doubtful that any had ever been made, and much less that one existed more than two centuries after the war.

The Enclave's massive hubris is also one of their biggest weakness, they have been on the top of their ivory towers for too long, and for that, they feel untouchable. You manage to gain complete access with the username ADMIN and the password PASSWORD1. Once inside you have access to all of the lab's databases and programs. You quickly download all the maps into your pip-Boy and smile when you see that you can access them pretty easily. Thinking that this might be your easiest mission yet you check the different data libraries and see that they are working on many parallel projects, Horrigan, Terra Nova, Lovebug, VR-Hibernation… only to name a few. Focus on your mission you then try to access into all the information related to Project Horrigan and are able to download it into your Pip-Boy, but the moment you try to access into it all the information appears as corrupted data and a prompt asking you for a deciphering key appears along with a thirty-second countdown appears, this time simply putting PASSWORD1 won’t work. Scared of detection or having all of your Pip-Boy and possibly your armor as well corrupted by some data-virus you cancel the process and delete all the intel just in case. The Enclave were sensible enough to put some barriers to their most sensible information, possibly because they feared the Sons of Kanaloa accessing it.

Seems like after all this mission won’t be a piece of cake after all.

You check on the maps and see that the laboratory is divided in different areas, each named after a different Greek God. It doesn’t say where project Horrigan or the others are being developed.

>Go to the area designated as Aether.

You don't know much of Greek Gods, hell, you don't know much of Greece at all, so starting from the first letter of the alphabet seems like an idea as good as any other. Slowly you start to move towards the Aether wing, luckily for you, it isn't very far away, but trying to sneak while in full power-armor is proving to be far more difficult than you thought.

After several minutes crouching across corridors and hiding behind corners and cardboard boxes you finally reach the place. You have barely seen anybody around, most of the areas are guarded by robots, mostly Eye-Bots, Sentry-Bots or Mr.Gutsies. There are also cameras, laser trips and force-fields every now and then but even with your Power-Armor and clawed fingers, you are able to dodge them or disable every trap that you cannot avoid.

When you reach the Aether wing you find that the entire area is completely dedicated to spacenautics. The Aether is composed of gargantuan hangars and workshops solely focused on building and researching spacecraft. The place is nearly empty, only a few Protectrons and Mr.Handies can be seen welding different pieces or transporting materials from one place to another. As you advance you can every now and then encounter massive jet engines and gigantic deposits of rocket fuel that line up the walls. On the manuals and other folders lying around the names Repconn, ArcJet, Zeta, ESS Quetzel and Lockreed repeat several times. Most of the hangars are empty, but the ones that don't have massive rockets, old pre-war air, and spacecraft and strange saucer-like vehicles stored in there, most of the vehicles are disassembled to a degree and surrounded by blueprints or schematics or apparently being stripped of parts.

>Check on the local books; see if you can discover what they are planning to do with all these rockets and aircraft.

Cautiously walking around and avoiding the easily predictable robotic routes and patrols you manage to make your way onto a file room, once inside you find that robots don't ever get in here and that you are completely free to explore as you wish. There are stacks and stacks of papers, bookshelves full of logs, blueprints, and rows upon rows of file cabinets full of research around something called Terra Nova. There are also countless maps of lunar topography, both of before and after it cracked open. Apparently, the Enclave are or were planning to leave Earth and aim for the stars. Well, it's not like wastelanders are going to miss them at all, so you don't disagree with the idea of them fucking off to Andromeda and leaving you all be.

You grab all the blueprint and research logs mentioning propulsion, rocket fuel, and aerodynamic engineering that you can find and quickly store them all in your satchel. This might come in useful the next time you try to upgrade your rocketbike, you could also sell all of this to the Brotherhood for thousands of caps.

There isn't much else for you to do here.

>The entire area is surprisingly empty; you think you can sneak your Rocketbike here, see if you can use the local machinery, resources and schematics to upgrade it even further.

You started with rusty bolts and nuts and then moved to better and better objects that aided in your repairs. Now you have a trusty belt full of spanners, screwdrivers, monkey wrenches, and other well made pre-war tools. But you need to go further, the world is broken, and you plan to repair it. Carefully you look around the different tools scattered on the area and find literal treasures down there, one by one you exchange your tools for literal space-age technology that will allow you to fix anything, no matter how complex. Piezonucleic Grinder, Hypercyclic Thermodrill, Vibroadaptable Spanner, Laser Measure, Neutronium Saw… all tools that you had only read or heard about until now. Hopefully, this will also throw a wrench in their gears, and slow down their evil plans.

>Space age tech tools obtained. All repair tests are now automatically succeeded!

As you are to leave to find a small door with the name Terra-Nova stenciled on it, it’s a pretty plain door, one that you might even have crossed before and ignored due to how plain it is. Now that you know what Project Terra Nova is you slowly peek inside, and become astonished to find a massive hangar on the other side, the biggest one that you have been so far, so big that it feels like it is about to fall down from its own weight. The hangar is circular in shape, easily four times as big as Diamond City, or at least the few memories that you have of the place. On its center, there is a massive rocket pointing upward. Despite really high, you are pretty sure that this hangar doesn’t reach the surface, so you are pretty unsure of how they plan to launch a space rocket while underwater.

The rocket, also named Terra-Nova has a needle-like design and it’s composed of three massive fuel tanks, some as big as entire pre-War flat houses, bolted and welded together to a somewhat smaller spaceship that could easily hold up to a hundred persons inside. The fuel tanks have been painted with the old American flag, their pointy ends are painted blue and have a ring of stars around them, and the rest of their bodies are painted with white and red stripes. The rocket is also heavily decorated, with the massive drawing of a golden eagle wearing a laurel wreath around its face. Its eyes are diamonds. It’s all really tacky.

There are several Power-Armored patrolling and stationed in vital points and scientists wearing hazmat suits working inside and outside the ship, it seems to be almost finished and ready to be launched very soon.

>See if you can hack a nearby terminal to reprogram the turrets and robots, launch a frontal assault against them and get the rocket for yourself. Just launch it to fuck with their plans.

Carefully, you get out of the room and head into an unoccupied terminal, luckily for you, since they are all interconnected using the same username and password that you used before once more grants you administrator privileges.

From there you navigate the different menus and programs until you find one that allows you to reprogram the Robots and Turrets. You make them start targeting Enclave personnel and get ready for the chaos.

Suddenly, from the walls and ceilings, several hidden laser turrets spring to life and start to shot volleys of blue laser fire onto the surprised Enclave, who quickly start to retaliate and open fire with their powerful Tesla Cannons and their Plasma Casters. The robots, as they are more complex than the turrets take a little longer to have all their combat programming overwritten, but soon enough they also join the mayhem and start wildly shooting onto the scientists and soldiers, dashing past while completely ignoring you.

Soon, the entire Aether sector gets full of red alarm lights and a siren starts blasting.

"BERSERKER ROBOT ALARM IN THE AETHER WING!" Starts to blare a male voice over the intercom.

The soldiers, with their advanced models of power-armor and their high-tech weapons, will easily beat the many turrets and robots, it’s only a matter of time before they win. Luckily for you, they seem to be losing this first battle, as the sudden betrayal has taken all of them by surprise and many soldiers and scientists have died in the first seconds.

>Continue with your hacking. See if you can reprogram the turrets and robots of all the base, send everything to hell.

Well, stealth is over, you are kind of surprised that Tankdozer hasn’t been discovered yet thought.

You continue with your hacking, mashing keys from the terminal as if you were a master piano player. From your admin control you not only send the same reprogramming orders to the rest of the robots of the base, but you also randomize the lights of the entire laboratory, turning everything into a stroboscopic hell.

“WE ARE UNDER ATTACK I REPEAT WE ARE UNDER ATTACK! AGH!” Screams the voice from the intercom, then several shotgun gunshots are heard and the sounds of glass breaking and flames erupts. Poison seems to have reached whoever was behind the microphone.

Time to act, your vengeance has been waiting for too long. You kick the door and turn it into countless of splinters as you dash onto the hangar behind dozens of robots. All around you missiles, energy projectiles and flames flew and danced. You open your palms and let your clawed fingers be surrounded by electric energy as you get ready to rip and tear. You aim your powerful grappling hook upwards and shoot it towards one of the many beams and catwalks that dot the ceilings.

Nobody has seen you yet, too much chaos, too much flashing lights.

Like a dart, you descend down but only a couple of feet before falling you see that all the lights suddenly turn on and stay that way. Something or someone has stopped your light show. The robots have stopped fighting each other, in fact, there aren’t any dead people around, no soldiers, no scientists, no robots, nothing.

Something weird is afoot.

Now that the lights are completely turned on you are able to witness how all the Power-Armored soldiers are surrounding and aiming their weapons at you. Most are wearing X-01 models of power armor but some are wearing models that you don’t know about.

You try to ascend once more in a hopeless attempt at escaping but a soldier wearing a strange Power armor full of Tesla Coils chuckles and fires highly powerful Tesla launcher to electrify your metallic chain, and from the chain the wild and dangerous electric current soon moves towards your armor, painfully shocking you and forcing you to release and fall down.

Your landing is clumsy and noisy, you still don’t know what’s going on but you don’t have time to focus on it, as dozens of power-armored punches and kicks start to rain over your body, wildly shaking you from side to side. Despite being covered in a power-armor too, cannot stop all the kinetic force and damage so you end feeling every hit as if you were nearly naked.

As they beat you to a pulp the soldiers insult and throw petty remarks at you, but you cant understand most of them as the constant attacks and sounds of metal hitting metal fills your ears. At some point your right eye stops being able to open due to how swollen it has become, your left ear starts ringing with a high pitched tone, you think you have heard your nose crack and you can feel blood and a couple of broken teeth in your mouth.

Just when you are about to pass out a single masculine and somewhat mechanically altered voice speaks and gives a simple yet intimidating order.

“Stop it. We need him alive”
>>
>>3787703

Everybody obeys and moves away. Weakly you look upwards and see a modified Protectron with a TV screen for a head, on the screen, there is a well dressed and sharp looking man. He wears a pin with the pre-war American flag on it.

“You have finally appeared. Dillinger Rast… I’m glad we have finally found you. Did you really think that you could have made up this far if we didn’t allow for it? We let the Brotherhood detect our transport submarines, we pretty much emptied this laboratory of soldiers and put instead robots with basic combat AI, hell… did you really think that hacking into our network would have been that easy? Someone remove his helmet and give him a seat I want to see his reaction and talk to him face to face.”

The soldiers do as he asks and quickly remove your power-armor helmet and bring a small office chair for you to sit in, somehow, the chair doesn’t crumble with your weight, apparently the man of the other side of the screen becomes content with this as he smiles and seems to be prepared to start talking, completely ignoring the dozens of weapons that are still aiming at your head at all times.

“I guess that an introduction is in order. My name is Sebastian Fox. I am the current leader of the Enclave, and by extent Hawaii’s and the US of A’s president as well. The world is broken, utterly broken, there’s no way of fixing it up. The Enclave is too small now, we are the last remnants of them, both coasts and the middle are gone. We once were in the hundred thousand, we were legion, only a hundred of us remain now. But despite these adversities we continue being like any good and patriotic American and we don’t sulk in bad times, we instead take pride in our determination and continue working hard. We have tried fixing up the world in several occasions, in California, in Washington, but for some reason, the creatures born after the nuclear fallout and people with their heads full of crazy non-american ideas have always put an end to our plans. We are now few, way too few, but we plan to find a new world to settle in, a new Earth. Thankfully for us, America is not a place, but a mindset, everywhere we go can and will be America. Look at these islands, for example, they weren’t America until the seventh of July of the year of our lord 1898, almost 430 years ago. We are going to enter into that spaceship and travel onto the stars to give birth to a new America, one without flaws like Ghouls, Psykers or Super-Mutants. One for pure-blooded Americans only.”

You cant barely understand or hear what it is saying, your face is simply too damaged. A couple of scientists move in and start injecting stimpaks onto your neck, allowing you to heal, if only a little, just enough for you to be able to keep up with the conversation.

“The Terra-Nova will be our ark on this voyage to the stars. But…we first need to do a little stop. Since most of our fuel will be burned to sail across the irradiated atmosphere of the Earth we will stop on the moon, refuel and then take off once more, this time with much less gravity and a weaker atmosphere to pull us down. Then, we will be cryogenically frozen until we finally reach our destination.”

“I will never join yo-“ You start to speak, gurgling blood from your mouth, you are cut short by Sebastian.

“Please, we don’t want you, you have been a fucking pain in the ass. Did you think we haven’t been keeping an eye from you after what you did in our Cazaclaw laboratory in Oahu? We know everything about you, you could be useful to our cause with your high intelligence and repair skills, but these are not the only qualities we seek, aren’t there highly skilled or intelligent Ghouls after all? No, we seek something more in a person something that you lack. That doesn’t mean you cannot be useful to us thought. Our plans are missing a final step, the moonquakes that shattered the moon broke several of the fuel pipes that we need to refuel, and for some reason, something is interfering with the electromagnetic airwaves between Earth and the moon, so we can’t control a robot from here to repair them either. We will send you,”

“And if I reject your offer?” You say defiantly. Then, Sebastian nodded softly and a gunshot was heard.

“That was your friend Poison. A bullet to the brain. We can kill all your friends, and once we are done with every intruder in this laboratory we can move to others, the crew of the Nightstalker, your dear ghoul friend Rustbucket… you chose.”

"If you send me to the moon, what would stop me from wrecking your plans from there?"

The TV screen flickers for a while but when the image returns Sebastian seems amused.

"There is no if, this is not an offer, we are just informing you in advance. As you know, we are developing several projects here besides Terra-Nova, there is also Horrigan, Lovebug, and VR-Hibernation. Despite being only about a hundred in total we have stored sperm and eggs of our most pure members for centuries and we have developed Tek-wombs capable of using that seed and fertilizing the eggs without the need of human intervention. If our plans of heading into the stars fail then we will all head into another secret location and release the lovebug, a genetically modified strain of mosquito that will infect humans and sub-human mutants alike and drastically alter their brain chemistry to make them insatiably crave sexual release and nothing else until they either die of sexual exhaustion or starvation. While the world literally fucks itself to death we will enter into a Virtual Reality hibernation and live an idyllic and perfect, if fake, life while we wait for the radiation to cease and the ecosystem to stabilize. Once that is done, no matter how many years it takes, then we will leave our hibernation pods and use the Tek-Wombs to repopulate the Earth. Project Horrigan is also a big part of our plans, we are working on creating create a stable and perfected strain of FEV that will allow us to turn mere humans into gigantic warriors that will be under our control, and then equip them with Power-Armor modified to fit their bodies. If your lunar mission fails then we will simply give the Power-Armor technology to the High Evolutionary and their super-mutant leader Kunuiakea, this will undoubtedly balance the scales onto their favor and allow them to easily conquer all of Hawaii. The High Evolutionary is the most destructive of all the factions, with them in power Hawaii will burn and self destruct, allowing us to reclaim the ashes once they are gone."

"How...how did you know that we would come?" You ask, feeling somewhat better, but still seeing red from all the rage of being so easily captured and from Poison's death.

"We have a mole. That's all that I am going to say."
>>
>>3789206

"Who the hell decided that the best course of action was to fucking NUKE a settlement. My friends died, almost everyone I knew died. What the hell kind of people decide to nuke an innocent town because someone found a dirty pile of secrets?"

"Well, I did, of course! I don't care at all about your settlement or friends. You all were illegally residing in Ohanan soil without paying taxes or informing the authorities, you then snooped around and found a cache of bio-weapons that could send all of our plans to hell. If the Cazaclaws had been released into Oahu the island would have been bathed in blood right now, not even us could have stopped an island full of these abominations. The end justifies the means."

"Can I get this collar off first?" You say.

"Sure!" He then snapped his fingers and a couple of scientists wearing hazmats start to toy with your collar, removing it at once.

Since there are now more scientists surrounding you than soldiers you violently stand up and shove them out of the way while grabbing your Laser Cannon with one hand and using your armors internal radio-comm to talk with the Brotherhood scribes and submarine crew.

"Take the sub and nuke this entire place! I repeat nuke it all!"

Nothing but static comes out.
>>
>>3789208

The protectron projecting Sebastian's face then moved to face you, Sebastian rolled his eyes.

"Please, we killed them ten minutes ago. In fact, speaking of killing." From the speakers two more gunshots were heard, then a third, if there was anyone out there that needed three point-blank headshots to be killed that was Tankdozer. You were completely alone now.

In a desperate last stand, you try to remove your armor's Fusion-Core to melt it down with your own Laser-Cannon to create a nuclear meltdown that might send most people and their beloved rocket to hell and back. Sadly, before you have the chance of doing so the rest of the soldiers jump into you, suffocating you with their bodies. Slowly, one by one they end moving back and before you can stand up again the protectron that works as an avatar for Sebastian puts a small device on your armor, the gadget activates and starts to shock the armor, you don't suffer damage but the Power-armor short circuits and forces you out, it’s a Zap-Trap, a device capable of shutting down any terminal, robot or power armor.

“Enough games. Put him in the secondary rocket and launch him as soon as possible.” Sebastian says tiredly.

A power-armored mechanical hand rips you out of the power armor and quickly punches your lights out.

When you wake up all you see around is darkness, encroaching darkness that not even the glow in the dark paint of your power armor can illuminate. You turn on your Pip-Boy’s light and see what you have been thrown inside a container, not very different from the shipping containers that you have seen lying around Hawaii. They have given you some military rations, canned water, and oxygen bottles but not much else. They have also dumped all of the corpses here, Poison, Tankdozer and all of the Scribes. Lovely.

The space is really small and claustrophobic, and having several dead corpses lying only a few feet from you isn’t helping.

You stand up and start to slap the walls in a vain attempt at getting help, but it is helpless, you cannot, and even if they could hear you they wouldn’t take you out. You try to be still and quiet and listen to what’s happening outside but you are so stressed and your heartbeat is so high that you cannot hear much around you, just feel a soft rumble across the cold grey walls of metal that surround you and hear a soft whispering female voice.

“3…”

“2…”

“1…”
>>
>>3789211

The realization of what that countdown mean hits you the instant the entire thing rumbles violently and starts to press you against the floor. You feel a rush of blood going into your head as the rocket you are in ascends into the skies. The rumble goes on and on for what feels like an eternity and then, cold, colder than you have ever felt in your entire life, even on the moonless nights in the Mojave Desert. The corpses around you start to float and frost start to appear on the walls and surfaces around you. Your breath becomes visible and chilling, you feel your lips cracking and the sweat of your body freezing. The Enclave had barely insulated the container walls, just enough to avoid you from freezing to death it, but not from suffering. It’s a good thing that you have your power-armor on to protect you and that they have returned your helmet to you, otherwise, you would have ended losing several fingers, toes and perhaps even your nose to frostbite

It takes you three days to reach the Moon.

Three long days where all you could do was to burn your Fusion-Cells to gain a little bit of warmth kick the floating bodies away and ration the food and water. The blood that covers the cadavers started to float around the instant you left Earth’s gravity well, you at first tried to avoid it but at the end, you simply let it coat your armor.

At the end of the third day, the rocket suddenly changed in direction and started to land onto the lunar surface, you couldn’t see it, but you were pretty sure of what was going on around you. A few minutes after the direction change gravity returned a weakened gravity. You softly stood up and felt weakened, the cold, lack of food and lack of exercise had left you meek. The rocket lands loudly and you can hear then the sound of whirring doors and mechanisms, that’s good if you can hear it means that you are surrounded by an atmosphere, as there is no sound in space. The sound of mechanical arms and spinning gears continues for a while until something, grabs the container you are in and takes it out of the rocket, then moves it elsewhere and opens it.
>>
>>3789213

You are in a derelict lunar station, the walls are made of concrete and steel beams, most of which are cracked to a degree or slightly rusty. Several plants have made this place their home and greenery covers most of the place with leaves and small flowers. The lights are still on but most are either broken or only emit a dim and weak cold light. Several skeletal remains lie on the floor along with broken Power-Armors and robots. Not very far from your location lies the rocket that brought you in, it’s not the gigantic Terra-Nova, they used a smaller rocket, one designed to transport resources and goods, not people. A set of mechanical arms are grabbing the different containers from the rocket and moving them to conveyor belts who later, with the use of a set of airlocks, introduce the containers into the station. There is a massive pile of containers in there; judging by how heavily they are covered in flora most seem to have been brought here centuries ago, surely before the war.

As the last container is brought the rocket once more blasts off towards the Earth, leaving you completely stranded.

Most of the containers are filled with food, seeds or water, all of which are mostly inedible now. Still, with the few foodstuffs that you can stomach left you should have enough food to be able to survive for a couple of months.

A few others have technical equipment, fusion cells, and cores and other high-tech gear along with armor, spacesuits and energy weapons. You reload all of your weapons and charge your power-armor completely, grabbing spares to use later.

There is also a few bottles of a transparent gel called Void-Epoxy which apparently is capable of turning a Power-Armor into something airtight and usable as a spacesuit, you quickly put it on your armor to avoid suffocating in the void.

Another of the containers, for some reason, is full of furniture, a bed, a couch, several chairs, and even a working fridge and cooking station. You put them all around and connect them to the station's power source. At least now you will have a place to rest on, cook and sleep.

They have also shipped your rocket bike, which is unironically nice of them.

>Investigate the broken robots and power-armors, see if you can cobble up something together that might help you.
Doing what you do best, you decide to start gathering the different robotic pieces around and putting them all together, many of the robot models around are completely unknown for you, hell, some might even be of Russian, Chinese or European manufacture, according to the urban legends the moon was both free for all and at the same time no man’s land.
>>
>>3789423

Carefully, and using the tools that you stole from the Enclave base you manage to repair a humanoid looking robot, way less clunky than a protectron, but clearly weaker, perhaps designed to work in the lunar gravity. The moment you activate it the robot stands up ignores you and immediately gets to work on the local plants, taking care of them.

“Hello?” You ask, wanting to know if the robot had some kind of AI.

“Oh, hello there laddie! Lovely night isn’t it?” It says in a British accent.

“What are you?”

“My designation is HONI, but most people call us Gardenbots. Quite a fitting name I would say. We tend to plant life here on the Moon. Most people here are either miners, scientists or soldiers. There were no plans of introducing gardeners or farmers, it was simply not feasible economically speaking, at least not until the war was over and the terraforming plans could start.”

“Do you do anything besides growing plants and food?”

“Well, I have no combat abilities if that’s what you are asking, I tend life, I do not harm it no sir. I can also cook for you and clean food from ionizing radiation. Do tell me, where are the others? I think I must have fallen asleep at some point, I don’t remember much…”

“That’s what I want to know too. I’m going to explore around for a little bit. Keep me informed if anything weird happens to the plants or if you see anything strange.”

The robot nods softly and continues looking and taking care of the different plants.

>Investigate the lunar station, see if there is a computer around that might help you.

With all the containers opened you walk around the station to see what its purpose was. The place seemed to be some kind of barracks. On the main floor, you can find a small infirmary, an armory, a couple of rooms full of dusty bunk beds, a pretty big mess hall and a room dedicated to relaxing and passing time, full of books and terminals with video-games. There's an upper floor where all the logistics and communications seemed to be done, it’s full of desks with typewriters, terminals, logistic machines, maps, and battle plans. There's also an underground floor with a shooting range, a workshop where you can modify your gear and a big garage with a lunar buggy and several tools to modify vehicles around. There's not a single soul around thought.

>Check for Enclave surveillance equipment. Hidden cameras, microphones, the works.

Still suspicious of the Enclave you start to look around for hidden cameras, spy bugs, microphones and all types of tracking devices, you even ask the Gardenbot to come and check around and inside to see if it has any kind of spying measure on itself.

Nothing, they have never set foot here, why would they? The Enclave was never planning on leaving the rocketship before heading into the stars, to them refueling here would have been an autonomous and automatic process.

You are completely alone, or that’s what you believe during your first hours at least, then several speakers around the place suddenly crack to life and a clear text-to-speech voice starts to speak.

“Welcome to the moon wastelander, you have reached further than any of your kind has ever reached, and will ever reach. We couldn’t send you to the refueling station that we will use; you are around two hundred miles from the location. We cannot send voice messages nor make contact with the robots on the moon, as we said there is something blocking the communications, there is a terminal on the second floor with a steady and secure connection, we can send you text messages and small files there, go up there to download the maps of lunar topography from the terminal and head to work. We need you to travel to the refueling station, make sure that everything is fine and fix whatever is broken. Do it or else we will give the High Evolutionary mutants Power-Armor technology and release the Lovebug mosquito around the world. Sebastian out.”

Fucking great. You do as instructed and see a single terminal with the lights on whereas the rest as turned off. You check on the screen and see that it is a two-way communication with them, they can send you messages, and you can message them. On the screen is the written text that they had sent you and was later converted to speech.

You find a small powernet cable around and connect your Pip-Boy to the terminal, downloading the maps of the nearby areas.

>Check on the Lunar Buggy.

With that done you head down into the garage and see that there is a special bigger airlock to get vehicles in an out.

The lunar buggy is pretty modern and despite having some dust on itself, everything is pretty well, no damage, no rust, it’s in mint condition. Some of its pieces remind you to Corvega motor parts but most are new to you, it doesn’t take you long to get a rough idea of how everything works though.

The buggy has a nucleoelectric engine. No combustion happens at any time of course as it won’t work in such a thin atmosphere. Its wheels are made of galvanized rubber and are not hollow, but instead, have a mesh of hard rubber to maintain the wheels stable yet soft enough to not break during a landfall. It’s pretty clever that they are not using the typical rubber and air-filled wheels, as any flat tire would create an explosion from the sudden difference in atmospheres and pressures and possibly flip the entire buggy over. Most of the vehicle is occupied by the massive engine, there’s a small solar power-plant installed too that will allow to recharge the batteries and can also be used to recharge fusion cores and other energy ammo. The driver has to enter inside a cabin, the cabin is possibly pressurized and allows for drivers to pilot without needing a spacesuit, but you wouldn’t dare to go in there without something between the void and your skin, the cabin seems kind of fragile. On top of the buggy, there is a small laser turret on top, you can control it with a small joystick located on the inside. There’s also a small manipulator arm that you can use to remove obstacles and a small trunk on the backside where you can put your Rocket bike. You are pretty sure that the moon buggy is capable of carrying your bike and lots more but your bike wouldn’t be able to carry the buggy if the need arose.

You also go to see the local infirmary and see that it has high-grade bionics, similar to the ones that you saw on the PMV Valdez but way better. You will be able to upgrade yourself for free, but the resources are scarce, you calculate that you will only be able to add two upgrades on yourself.

>Check the different areas around the barracks where you are located. See where do you have to head and what other interesting areas are around.

The local infirmary possesses a couple of hospital beds, a little and cluttered clinic, a modern auto-doc, and a small morgue. It seems that the American government didn't bury their dead on the lunar soil and instead incinerated them and sent the ashes back to Earth whenever one of the transport rockets returned, several ash urns wait on some shelves; when the great-War happened the rockets stopped coming and thus these urns ended stranded there. There is a small holotape lying next to one of the urns, you grab it and play it with your Pip-Boy. A female voice then started to speak.

"General Cassandra Smith of the third Moon Marines squad speaking. Deceased combat engineer Marcus DeWitt has helped America by sabotaging dozens of communist outposts, vehicles and satellite links all across the Sea of Tranquility. He has specialized in sabotage missions and has even instructed several soldiers and engineers from their own and other squads and taught them how to efficiently destroy enemy equipment. He doesn't have any close family members and according to his own will, spoken orally and recorded by his spacesuit as he died he, and I quote, ‘I want you all to turn my ashes into a grenade to and throw me at some Chinese super-computer so I can short circuit and fuck these commie fuckers from beyond the grave’… despite how unorthodox this all is the group of engineers that he led have been willing to craft these ash grenades and have even made blueprints. We have been considering the use of these grenades and we have reached to the conclusion that they wouldn’t be only effective to sabotage equipment, but also against the invisible Hei gui stealth armors that the cowardly Chinese soldiers use across the moon. According to military reports, these near-invisible armors can be spotted by a well-trained eye as they slightly refract and bend light around them, but in an environment like the moon with so little light and air around such refractions become even smaller, and that makes these elite troops truly invisible and completely deadly. Seventh Engineering Corps, colloquially known as the Luna Rockers, you have permission to develop these grenades, once DeWitt’s ashes have all been used you will instead use ground moon rocks, as their dust can also short circuit sensible electrical equipment.”

Not very far away you found several of these grenades lying around and the blueprints to make them. You equip them all and head into the Auto-doc to see what kind of bionic options are here.

>Choose up to 2 bionics.
>We will check the barracks after this:

> High-Quality Bionic Skull:
As the name implies this implant requires substituting or shielding the cranium, usually with metal. Not many people apply to do these and unless you find a completely working Auto-Doc this operation will have an incredibly high mortality chance. Each skull regardless of quality will make you unable to have your head crippled. This bionic skull is completely undetectable and even fixes your appearance and features, making you look more beautiful. It gives you +1 CHA.

>Flare compensating eyes:
With these eyes, you will never be blinded by flashlights or flashbang grenades. It will make your scleras be slightly reddish and your irises completely white.

>Low light eyes:
With these eyes, you will be able to see in darkness. It will make your scleras be pitch black and your irises a bright neon green.

>Glowing eyes:
These cyber-eyes can be activated at will to emit a high power and low heat light, acting as a flashlight while not affecting your vision. Your eyes will have white irises but otherwise, look normal while they are deactivated and then be glowing orbs when the light has been turned on.

>Scope Eyes:
These eyes allow you to activate a zoom at any time to better focus on important details or better aim at enemies. Your eyes will be exchanged with cameral like lenses, giving you a slightly inhuman look.

> High-Quality bionic Eyes:
These implants are one of the most solicited ones, even by people who don't have their vision damaged or impaired. Being blind in the Post-Nuclear America equals to being defenseless and dead so it isn't so weird to find these Bionic Eyes in the possession of people who have them just in case. People with Bionic eyes will still be affected by the temporal blindness that for example, a Stun Grenade can inflict or weather effects of fog. These stunning eyes are small pieces of art. They appear like real human eyes but the irises beautifully glow and slowly shift in color. They give better vision than real eyes, giving people +1 PER and CHA.
>>
>>3790371

>Cyber-Snout:
This cybersnout enhances smells. The massively enhanced olfactory will allow you to be able to sense things that ordinarily only a dog would. You can smell people’s emotions in their sweat, traces of ammunition propellant, explosives, or biological and chemical warfare compounds—the list goes on and on.

>Implant Y-3:
A wastelander's best friend! With this fancy implant, you no longer have to worry about eating irradiated food and drinking irradiated booze! All consumable items are stripped of any radioactive materials when you consume them. It does have the unintended side-effect of making your farts smell even worse, however.

>Implant Y-7:
With this implant, you immediately recover 10% of your HP each time you eat a meal. Furthermore, you gain one free Action each combat that can be used during any of your turns.

>Dermal impact armor:
Small ballistic plaques put under the skin. They aren't noticeable.
+2 Damage resistance to Ballistic, Melee, and Unarmed.

>Dermal impact assault armor:
Thick ballistic plaques put under the skin. They are noticeable and make you look weird.

> High-Quality Bionic Torso:
An incredibly useful implant that requires an excruciatingly painful procedure to be installed. Bionic Torsos offer an additional layer of armor and make chests unable to be crippled and lungs punctured. Impossible to distinguish unless doing an X-RAY. This set of titanium ribs and spine not only offer a great 60 HP of resistance against all kinds of damage but also make your torso and back look imposing and stronger and offer you more flexibility, giving you +1 CHA and AGL bonus.

>Internal Air Tank: ( This will substitute the Bionic Respiratory System)
The internal air tank replaces part your with a pressurized internal air reserve that allows you to hold your breath for up to 2 hours. This allows extended underwater operations and complete protection from airless areas as long as you’re holding your breath. Refilling the air tank with pressurized air through an intake valve (located under your ribcage) takes five minutes, or you can refill it through six hours of normal breathing.

> High-Quality Synthetic Skin:
Synthetic skin was designed by the US military to be used by specialized soldiers trained to fight in the most toxic, radioactive and hostile environments. It is a chemical component that turns regular skin into a defensive layer that offers protection against energy-based attacks and radiation. This skin was designed to be both protective and stylish; it will make you look radiant and healthy, even if you are a ghoul. It gives 60 points of resistance against energy weapons and radiation and also grants +2 CHA points.

> High-Quality Bionic Limbs:
Bionics limbs are the most common implant found in Hawaii, they are substitutes of arms and legs and help to keep people functional and useful, something which is vital to surviving in the Wasteland. Regardless of the model and the quality of people with bionic limbs count as wearing brass knuckles when throwing punches or kicks. These pieces are made from the highest quality materials and technology that the Pre-War times could offer. They were exclusively designed for military purposes. They offer +1 AGL and STR each.

>Hidden weapon cyber arm:
A regular cyber arm that is capable of holding a small weapon inside. The starter weapon will be an average laser pistol but can later be upgraded to a small shotgun, machinegun, flamethrower, cryo pistol, plasma pistol, tesla pistol or even a micro grenade launcher.

>Hidden blade cyber arm:
A regular cyber arm that holsters inside a long blade capable of catching people by surprise. It will start being a simple combat knife but can be later upgraded to different knife models with damage modifiers or even a ripper blade.

These bionics will not be poor substitutes like the ones that you can find in the wasteland or average replacements like what you can find in the Valdez, these are space tech bionics, the best of the best.

Sadly, according to Auto-doc, it only has enough resources to build two more bionics. You get a list of the possible options you ponder for a while what will you add to yourself and ultimately you end choosing to have new eyes and torso.

The moment you press the enter key the Auto-docs opens up and its interior lights up. You get out of your power armor, strip naked and head inside. The low gravity feels kind of weird, but it's a nice and funny sensation. Inside you see a slab for you to rest in with several cavities to better fit your back and frame. You press your back against the slab and suddenly several magnetic clamps close around your neck, wrists, and ankles, completely trapping you. The door then closes and seals airtight, the ceiling then opens and several thin tentacle-like mechanical arm spring from it.

The arms have different tools and manipulators, the first one to descend is long needle filled with a greenish transparent liquid, possibly anesthesia. It quickly stabs you in the neck and starts pumping you with whatever these chemicals might be. Not long afterward you start to feel drowsy, and then, fall asleep.
>>
>>3791363
By the time you wake up, you see that the entire interior of the Auto-doc is covered in blood, your blood. Your head is pounding heavily and your chest is covered in cuts and scars full of stitches and metallic staples. Weakly, you get out and head into a nearby bathroom to check on yourself.

Your sclera is now glossy white and lacks any kind of red veins around your pupils. Your irises are now incredibly beautiful and of a golden color that softly sifts in hue depending on the light and angle, you look at.
Your torso, despite all of its new scars, looks pretty great, you look stronger and wider than before, more imposing, stronger. Your ribs now feel slightly cold; you softly knock on them and hear a metallic sound. Twelve titanium and duraluminum vertebrae cover your spine now. Despite the pain you try to stretch yourself and find yourself easily able to throw quick punches and that your flexibility has increased a great deal, even allowing you to touch your feet while standing up, something which was completely impossible for you before the operation.

Kind of sore you dress up again and return to your Power-Armor. It’s time to head out.

You look at the maps downloaded on your Pip-Boy and see your objective and a few other outposts and bases around. One is a set of underground mines, another is a Chinese base, possibly not very different to this one, there's also the refueling station of the enclave and apparently some laboratories around.

You look at yourself in a mirror and see that your Memento Mori armor has changed, most of the soil of the Rusfields is now gone, instead, there’s plenty of dried blood and countless scratches on it now. This armor changes as much as you do, but its meaning has always stayed the same, you will always remember your horrid past and fight for a better future. Wanting to further modify the armor you walk back to the Auto-Doc and open a side hatch to grab three plastic sealed boxes with your old vertebrae, ribs, and eyes respectively. These bags are usually incinerated but you are going to use them to further customize your armor. You push your eyes inside of a small Nuka-cola bottle that was lying around, fill it with water and tie a small rope to the bottle as you hang and tie it around your left thigh. You then decorate your shoulder pads with your own bloody ribs and use your own mechanical hands to crush your old vertebrae to dust before mixing it with some human ash and moon rock dust that is lying around and use it all paint your armor grey and white, giving you an even more monstrous appearance.

Ready to explore the moon you set a path on your map and get ready to head first onto the Chinese Station and then towards the European Labs and lastly the refueling station. Calmly you descend onto the garage and put your rocket bike on the Moon-Buggy's trunk. You hop inside and see that whoever was the last pilot filled the cabin with half-burnt cigarettes, a small ripped notebook page with the message “Commies Killed” and several tally marks and lastly mementos of a dear heart, an old picture of a girl with some faded maroon lipstick, a small wedding ring hanging from the rear-view mirror and even several raunchy letters about how much she missed him and what kind of lovemaking she was planning to do once he returned, pretty explicit stuff, some of the letters even have pictures attached to them and oh boy was she stunning.

With a smile on your lips, you turn on the engines and hear them rumble and hum softly as their twin nuclear micro-reactors send electrical power to the buggy’s wheels. You drive slowly to the exit airlock and the instant enough weight is detected on the floor the doors behind you start to close and then magnetically seal. Several turbines then suck all of the oxygen around and when the environment around you is completely devoid of air the exit airlock opens. The cabin is working as intended and you are still surrounded by a bubble of breathable air. You press the accelerator and the buggy instantly lunges forward.

The lunar landscape is worse than you expected, whatever caused the moon to crack open had caused countless of lava rivers, endless ravines and small volcanoes to appear. Your drive is relatively easy at first, just drive around craters and avoid dangerous hazards, but as you pass near the Whiterock mines something weird happens.

You drive over someone.

Whoever it was it had been hidden until now, completely still, and lying against the floor. After running over it the body ricochets of the Buggy’s frame and is sent upwards in a spiraling fashion, wildly spinning as it slowly falls down. You grab the handbrake and clutch it as hard as you can to stop yourself as fast as possible. Once stopped you get out and literally breathe with relief after seeing that the liquid sealant worked and that your armor is now capable of operating in a vacuum.

Shortly after stopping your buggy the body finally landed on the floor, you strode to it with bunny-like jumps and see that it is an incredibly decrepit ghoul, one that is wearing a ragged red and yellow spacesuit with a cracked bubble-like helmet. The ghoul seems to have been heavily wounded, with parts of its blood slowly spurting out of its chest, but somehow, it isn’t dead at all.

>Investigate around the mines, see where this ghoul might have come from and how it can be alive on the moon without a functioning spacesuit.

>Mercy kill the ghoul and take a quick look at it for anything important.

Your flamer pistol won't work in such a thin atmosphere, and you better save your Laser cannon for more dire situations. You grab your laser pistol and shot at the crippled ghoul before it can crawl towards you. The pistol barely makes any noise as it fires.

After a couple of shots, the Ghoul ends losing its only working arm, and shortly after becoming little more than a twitching stump, it finally dies.

Slowly, you holster your pistol and walk towards it. The ghoul is a glowing one, its eyes are nothing but spheres of sickly green light, it's veins are bright lines that violently cross its face and limbs. It seems that the near-vacuum had inflated and swollen its body, but unlike with an average human it didn't explode, it instead simply grew in size and became even more trapped on its spacesuit. Perhaps it's own radiation was the reason as of why it was capable of surviving in an airless environment, just like the ghouls that roam the bottom of the sea, all they need is radiation to live...well, if you can truly call being a mindless and immortal decrepit monster a life at all.

The spacesuit is not like the ones that you have seen on the station, it's not white and chrome, but red and yellow with some parts in silver. You carefully start to inspect the spacesuit and see the name REPCONN written on the back. This is not Chinese or Russian, this is American tech.

>Investigate around the mines, see where this ghoul might have come from and how it can be alive on the moon without a functioning spacesuit.

The Ghoul came from the mines, you look at it and see that it is a small concrete bunker that serves as an airlock entrance that then leads to a set of elevators, stairs, and tunnels that bore deep into the moon's surface. Outside of the mines, you can see several gigantic trucks with massive deposits on their backs, and as far as you can see the deposits read "Tralphium (3He)"

There are several cracks around the entrance, some emit smoke, others don't. You drive towards the mines and see something weird coming out from one of the cracks on the ground, a red metallic piece, bent and half burnt. You get closer and see that there is a massive red white and green rocket lodged deep into the ground.

Continuing on your way towards the mine you drive to the entrance and enter inside, the moment you get in several sensors kick in and close the door behind you, sealing the area and filling it with a stale, yet safe to breathe oxygen.

Shortly after stopping you get out of the Buggy and a melodic and echoing voice starts to speak using a speaker around.

"Hello, wanderer. Please forgive us of our humble surroundings. Our true home awaits us in the Far Beyond. Have you come to help us complete the Great Journey?"

"Hello, the what now?" You say incredulously, and happy to know that there are also other people on the moon.

"The Far Beyond is a place that I have glimpsed only in visions, wanderer, but what I have seen is truly miraculous. It is a place of light and healing, and I know in my soul that my flock will be safe there. The Great Journey is our voyage across the stars to escape the barbarity of the wasteland, especially the violence and bigotry of its human inhabitants. The creator has promised to my flock a new land: a place of safety and healing... a paradise in the Far Beyond. Preparations for the Great Journey were completed several years ago, but the creator has put us another trial before we can reach paradise. A courier, a wanderer of the wastes helped us before, will you help us now?"

His words seem polite and calm, he feels almost like a preacher, despite being a man of science and not having much faith in religion you can almost believe his words.

"Who are you?"

"I am Jason Bright, the prophet of the Great Journey. All the ghouls you see here are members of my flock. And before you ask, I am a Glowing One ghoul, and yes, Bright is my surname. An auspicious name, don't you think? It was mine before I became as I am now. Before the Great War, even. Truly does the creator author a destiny for each and every one of us..."

"Oh great another bunch of people that need help. Just tell me what you want and I'll add it to the to-do list below saving the planet earth."

"I understand your concerns, friend, and I thank you for voicing them. But the creator's will for us has been made manifest. Your appearance here cannot be a coincidence, you are not a citizen of the United Luna Confederation, you do not talk nor look like one of them, who are you, where did you come from? Did perhaps, the creator, put you here to aid us? Are you the miracle that we have been waiting for years?"

"I... no offense but what are you talking about?" You say, completely puzzled.

"I guess that an introduction is in order. I am the spiritual leader of the Bright Brotherhood, a religious group of Ghouls who want to escape the Wasteland and humanity as a whole to seek a better future in a world of healing light that will constantly bathe us. After centuries of hellish torture, our journey will finally take us to an endless paradise. We left Earth the twenty-first of February of 2282, we thought that we would be soon in the Far Beyond, but we couldn't be more wrong, our rockets ended being captured by the Moon's gravity well, and we ended trapped and orbiting the satellite for seven years, seven torturous years where we were sustained by nothing but the rocket's own radioactivity, many of my flock members ended becoming feral, but we still love them and consider them part of our family. The sixteenth of March of the year 2289 the rockets finally landed on the moon, and when they did the crash ended detonating several nuclear missile silos that the Americans and Chinese forces left behind before the Great-War."
>>
>>3794253

There's a small silence as if the event had been heavily traumatic for him and recalling it slightly made him anxious.

"Apparently, our rocket's comm systems worked in the same frequency bands as the nukes and their presence ended activating all of them simultaneously. This was what cracked the moon open. Our rockets crashed near this underground Helium-3 mine, the Chinese and Americans mined Helium-3 from the moon to power their rockets and nukes, some of it was even exported to Earth and both nations had plans of turning it into the fuel of the future once the war was over. After the crash landing, we managed to reach the mine and when we descended we found a miracle of the creator, the mines had several artificial air pockets created with force fields or massive installations and plastic domes and several plants had even grown in there. As far as we can conjecture, after the Great War, several miners were left on their own in the mines and ended creating a small society of their own, constantly recycling the air and their own waste. They somehow managed to turn flashlights, mining lasers, and nuclear drills into heat lamps that could imitate sunlight and humidity condensers that could create somewhat clean water. They heavily used these inventions to grow plants in there and have a steady source of food. Unknowingly to them, their genius creations were also slightly radioactive, and after years most of them either died or became ghouls like us. By the time we reached the place all of the Ghouls had become feral, but we welcomed them nonetheless. We now want to repair our rockets and refuel them with the helium-3 of the mines to leave the moon and finally reach the Far Beyond, but alas, we can't. We lack the technical expertise to do the repairs, we cannot ask help to the United Luna Confederacy for they accuse us of breaking the moon and are completely hostile to us, and we cannot descend deep into the mines, for they are full of demons. Help us wanderer."

Jason clears his throat and proceeds to speak.

"They are deep underground and can be only reached from the lower tunnels, they have a massive labyrinthine base full of bright light and covered in chrome metal, and glass everywhere. The demons appeared from nowhere, literally. According to several local maps that we have found their base wasn't there before the War, and we don't believe that someone built it down there. To put it in layman terms, the moon simply lacks the resources, minerals, and metals to build such structure. We haven't been able to explore it deeply enough for little yet mighty green men, weird violent abominations and strange orange robots attack us the instant we set a foot inside. Besides, the entire structure is emitting strange weird noises in all frequencies, the Confederation has tried to suppress these emissions by playing their own music on their radio but from time to time one of the noises slips by. The noises, if heard for long enough affect psyches, they have turned many of my brothers and sisters into ferals, and apparently it has also caused similar effects in the few ghoul citizens of the confederacy and can also affect the mood of humans and make them more aggressive. The confederacy believes that these strange sounds are emitted by us since we are composed entirely of Ghouls and we welcomed the local ferals they think that these noises are done on purpose to convert more Ghouls into ferals and have them join our cause. No matter how much we speak to them they never listen to us, never. We are few in number and we are not warriors, it is not the first time we fight against demons, we required help once, we might require it again. With these demons gone, we will leave the moon and we will help you as best as we can."

You haven't checked the radio stations since you reached the moon, you simply didn't think of doing it because you had more pressing matters. Only one radio station appears, Selenia Radio, not very original, but it's not like the locals can tune to anything else.

"Is there any way I can contact with Earth?" You ask.

"Not that we know of. As we said, these strange demonic transmissions violently occupy and flood all broadcasts, channels, and frequencies."

You then remembered that the Enclave told you that they couldn't control some of the robots that they had on the moon because something strange was blocking the signal, this might be what's affecting them, that's also why they can only communicate with you by text and annoying text-to-speech messages.

>Accept fighting these "demons". They have fuel down there so perhaps aiding him is what you need to help the Enclave reach the stars and return home.

"Very well, I think killing these so-called demons will aid me in my mission."

In front of you, an elevator then ascends and its door opens in an inviting manner. You go inside and it closes automatically, the lights inside flicker for a while and then a strange and foreign-sounding song starts to play as it starts to descend, the speaker was clearly old and damaged, it emitted sparks the instant it activated and the music was barely audible and understandable, with several random cuts and instants where notching but a creepy high pitched hum can be heard. The descend it long, eternally long, the music is on a loop, over and over again, endlessly. You had read in some pre-war girly journal that you found in a ruined home how the writer explained that she had to take an elevator to one of the top floors every day to get to work and how she ended hating the music and wanted to rip the speakers to pieces, but couldn't do because that was unladylike and also because they would fire her if she ever did that. Until now, you never understood her, not many elevators work in post-nuclear America and the ones that do don't have music, so you couldn't relate to her, until now. Thinking of her and the annoyance that she must have suffered you ready your Tesla Claws and grab the speakers and rip them the shreds, putting an end to a song that should have never been sung. Destroying tech isn't your thing, but this was an exception, and you did it for her.

Shortly after the doors open and you find yourself in a big rectangular room that has been dug from the moon rock, several metallic beams and supports keep the weight and there are several beds, plants, books and other furniture lying around. It seems that the Bright Brotherhood lives here.

Only three ghouls receive you, all of them wearing the same spacesuit that you found on the feral outside. Two of them become kind of nervous and shocked by your presence, and it's a pretty understandable reason, you are a giant metallic suit painted dark green, with a grim skeleton drawn over it with paint and moon dust and human remains, including your own bones, lots of battle damage and dried blood can be seen all over your armor, you have also a set of strange tools on your hips, two pistols in your thighs, a bottle filled with water and two eyes floating inside dangles from your side, there are several bloody ribs on your shoulder and arms, your armguards are filled with Tesla coils that constantly crack with energy, your fingertips are now metallic claws, you have a ragged hood around your head and a small battle-damaged cape on your shoulders and back and lastly a powerful and dangerous-looking nuclear-powered jump-pack is attacked to your back.

"Fear not, wanderer." Says a Glowing one, the only one that didn't react negatively to your presence, it's Jason and it seems that his zealotry to his cause makes him reject any kind of prejudice towards you. "We have kept our feral brethren hidden and locked so your presence doesn't disturb them.

"W-we..." Starts to speak another of the Ghouls, a kind of chubby one with dark stains on his fingers and hands, clearly the mechanic of the group. "We are not warriors, but we will try to help you as best as we can. These mines were mostly dug using mining vehicles, laser cutters, drill robots or in a few occasions with specially adapted power-armors using a design that apparently came from Appalachia. During our years here I designed several things that might help you now." He then shows you his craft.

>Take a powerdrill. This drill was initially designed to be used by robots, but this one has been designed to be used by a human hand, only someone exceptionally strong, a Super-Mutant or someone in a Power-Armor could use it thought. The drill seems capable of turning an average human to shreds in seconds and you are sure that you could improve it further and turn it into a literal deathmachine.
>Take a Super-Battery. The super-battery is a small satchel that interconnects three Fusion-Cores and uses liquid nitrogen and other superconductors and space-alloys to keep everything stable. It emits some minor radiation, something which these Ghouls didn't consider negative at all. It will double the ammo account of all your weapons and will allow your jump pack to jump up to seven times instead of five before needing to recharge.
>Take the Mag-Soles. Special soles for your Power-Armor boots. Activating them will allow you stick and walk on any metallic surface, regardless of its angle. You can also reverse the polarity and levitate softly, allowing you to skate around in high speeds, but only if you are on a metallic surface.

As nice as the Super battery is, it doesn't honestly provide that much of a benefit unless we could produce more / alternate versions and if we can do that then the issue is the rare materials for it.

Meanwhile, literal magnetic levitation anywhere with a metal surface: ships, railroads, a large number of pre-war buildings.

>Take the Powerdrill.
>Take the Mag-Soles.

With a single sweep, you grab the mag soles and the massive powerdrill and the meek ghoul whimpers softly.

"I-I thought that you would only take one. I worked so hard on these..."

You simply give him a deadpan and without answering head into a local workbench to add the new installations. The soles are metallic, not very different from the original ones but they have a set of small circles spread in a hexagonal pattern, when inactive these holes glow white, when active and attracting metal they glow red, and when they repulse metal they glow light blue.

Once installed you try them with the local metallic pillars and columns and you see that you can hang upside down and walk on vertical surfaces, it's kind of confusing but might prove useful in the future.

The drill doesn't require installation, all you have to do is grab it, rev the engine as if it were a chainsaw and simply aim towards your enemies and turn them into mush.

You don't get the super-battery, despite being pretty useful the fact that it is radioactive is a pretty big turn off for you. You like your smooth skin thank you very much.

Once ready you grab a few stimpaks, water and rations from them. Jason and his "flock" don't seem to mind much. Or at least they aren't brave enough to bark at you for grabbing their food, water, and medicines.

"Be careful wanderer, these demons are stronger than they look, they have turned some of our strongest feral brothers to shreds in a matter of minutes, brothers that had been able to endure and survive the wasteland for centuries."

You simply check on your weapons and nod, not even paying full attention to him. Normally you aren't this battle-ready or bloodthirsty but you are angry at the Enclave, and someone has to pay. You walk towards the elevator once more and the moment you step in the doors close and head down once more. At least this time, in complete silence.
>>
>>3796116

After what feels like an eternity the elevator finally stops and the doors open. You step out and find yourself in a dark cavern, not a single source of light around. You turn on your Pip-Boy's greenish light and see a great message stenciled on the nearest wall. "Level -80." Next, to it, there are several crude graffiti, possibly sprayed by the miners after ending stranded in there due to the Great-War. There's a very prominent message written all over one of the walls. "Next level, Hell. Next level, Hell." Written over two thousand times, first with black paint, then with shit, and finally with blood. Next, to the message, there is a skeleton, possibly the author of such rant, a poor devil who lost his mind after seeing the world gets nuked and his chances of returning home completely erased in an instant.

It seems that these tunnels were never finished, there is only one corridor and by the look of the metallic pillars, buckets full of nuts and bolts and the many tools lying around the floor and the half-finished look of everything, this part was being constructed when the bombs fell.

You ready your weapons and walk into the corridor, the more you walk, the stranger you feel. You don't feel bad, in fact, you feel kind of good, you feel normal. It takes you a while to realize what's going on, the deeper you go, the heavier gravity gets until it is similar to that of Earth. Your movements are also becoming louder with each new step, not only because you are getting heavier, but also because you are somehow entering into an oxygen-rich atmosphere, and soundwaves are now traveling further.

At some point, the rocky corridor suddenly ends and you enter into a metallic structure, it's not a gradual change, it's completely sudden and brutal, one step you are in an underground tunnel, the next one in a gigantic room made of metal, glass and strange glowing lights. There are several corpses around, fresh ones, all of them feral ghouls, well, not all of them, one of the corpses is different, bizarre, unlike anything that you have seen.

>Examine the strange body. Study it closely.

You crouch close to the body and start to analyze it, you aren't a medical expert but you are pretty sure that whatever this is, it's not human or has never been one.

Despite having a roughly human-like silhouette this monster has a hollow chest and the part where its heart, lungs, and other vital organs should be is simply absent. The creature's lower jaw is not remotely human and looks insect-like instead. It has a gaunt and spindly body and gives the appearance of lacking skin and having exposed muscles. Its body is made of tense muscles and limbs that feel like they are about to snap in two at any time. Its fingers and toes are ended in boney claws, all of them are heavily scrapped and damaged

Judging by the damage of the corpses around the ghouls and this monster engaged in a brutal melee that ended with everybody dead.

>Leave the corpses, continue advancing and exploring.

You leave the corpses to continue rotting on their own and head towards the only room in the room. The room you are in right now is pretty bare, no containers, furniture or anything interesting.

The room leads to a corridor, you carefully look out and to the left, you can see a patrol composed by two strange small green humanoids wearing strange chrome jumpsuits and carrying silvery weapons and a big hovering orange robot behind them, you look to the right and see another of these robots, this one is carrying a hovering table with one of these strange "demons" strapped to it, the demon is alive and awake, buckling heavily and trying to release itself, hissing at the robot and muttering strange words, some of which sound like English.

You are in an alien spaceship, you cannot truly believe it, I mean, what's a spaceship doing in the moon? But there isn't any other explanation for all of this, the strange tech, the little green men. Well, if you ever return you will have one hell of a story to tell Saltgut.

>Wait until they are gone and head to the right, this robot is carrying the abomination somewhere, you might learn more if you follow them.

You wait until the coast is clear and the softly head towards the right, following the alien robot and its enraged captive. Thanks to the new mag-soles you manage to softly hover above the floor, making your steps be quite silent and nearly undetectable.

They lead you towards a big laboratory, a great and somewhat ruinous area that seems to be dedicated to biological research and experimentation. There are several glass tubes spread across the walls, most are empty and have no lights inside of them, some have lights illuminating their interior and are filled with naked people inside, they are all floating inside and kept in zero-g by some kind of alien antigrav technology, Ghouls, Psykers, Super-Mutants, and subspecies of humanity that you have never seen are all floating in here, most of them are unresponsible or dead, with parts of their body missing, a few ones are alive and awake, following you with their eyes and even punching the glass to no effort. The robot you are following suddenly stops and slowly turns around, watching at the prisoners that are trying to gather your attention, you manage to hide in the last second and order them to be quiet with your hands.

This entire area is as ruinous as the room you came from. Now that you have explored a little bit of the spaceship you have noticed that many areas are in a disrepair state, there are several cracks around, the lights flicker randomly and a little bit of rust covers the walls and floors. The ship doesn't seem to be in a state of flying away any time soon, you doubt that its engines are in a working condition and even if they were, the mere act of ascending across thousands of feet of lunar ground would end disintegrating their ship. How did they ever come here? There's no crash zone or anything similar.

The robot grabs the chained abomination and pushes it into a circular pod, then, the chains suddenly disappear and a glass tube materializes from nowhere, trapping it like the others. The few prisoners who are alive then become heavily stressed, quickly hitting the glass walls and trying to catch your attention.
>>
>>3797876

Several other tubes turn on and quickly fill with a thick and strange orange semi-transparent liquid. Countless small minuscule mechanical arms start to descend into the different occupied tubes. The tubes are thin and long, their chromed metal glints heavily under the light and are numerous enough to completely cover the people inside.

The prisoners start to scream, even the ones that were unconscious until now. The mechanical arms start to turn them into shreds, grabbing small pieces of their bodies mercilessly. The tubes filled with orange liquid suddenly start to have the blood, skin, muscle, bone and other tissues and fluids pumped into them, and from the remains, more alien abominations start to form. They might not be literal demons, but the process to create them feels unholy to you.

There's nothing you can do, these people are doomed, and a morbid curiosity locks you in place. Only minutes later the process is finished, and four new abominations have been created. The mechanical arms retract in place and the prisoners are now less than they were before, most have died among but the ones that have survived some seem sickly pale, much of their blood having been drained from them, one is now missing all of her hair and two arms, and a poor devil is now completely skinless, showing organs, muscle and bone, it doesn't take him long to die from blood loss and shock.

Five of the tubes, the one with the original demon and the newly created four are then separated from the ground by the robot, installed on some kind of anti-gravity platform and transported out. The robot transporting them takes them to a teleporter, disappearing after crossing it.

>Explore the area, if they have been using people for their experiments they must be storing the bodies and their belongings close by, there might be something valuable or useful on them.
>Search for a machine or device that controls the process, see if you can put these people out of their misery and stop the creation of new alien abominations.

>Search for a machine or device that controls the process, see if you can put these people out of their misery and stop the creation of new alien abominations.

You start looking around for some kind control panel and despite finding one pretty quickly you simply cannot use it, they use a completely different type of language, their alphabet is completely uncomprehensible for you and even if you were to somehow understand their symbology you still don't know anything of their alien tongue or how their informatic systems work.

Being forced to take more drastic measures you end ripping open one of the control panels to take a peek inside and see if you can at least get a close approximation of how their technology works. You spend several minutes there, crouching and studying the gears as close as possible and coming up with theories and conjectures about what did what and how it did it.

Ultimately, you manage to understand just enough how to sabotage their machines. Using your electrical fingers and somehow connecting your Pip-Boy to the alien computer you quickly reprogram the tentacle-like mechanical arms to painlessly kill the remaining prisoners with a swift slash to the neck and then start working on disabling the machines by short-circuiting their strange circuits.

The noise that these machines make when they short circuit is pretty loud and once you start the process, you cannot end it. Soon enough the entire area starts to fill with robots and aliens.

The aliens try to take you by surprise but you manage to detect their intrusion before they can attack. There are three aliens wearing chrome jumpsuits and wielding what looks like hyper-tech blunderbusses and shock-batons. Two of their drone robots follow close behind, one of their arms changed with a cannon-like weapon.

You ready your Laser cannon and aim at the first alien that enters in. The moment you press the trigger a red cracking beam of pure focused light instantly travels towards one of the aliens and turns its entire body into molten slag and glowing ash. One alien dead, two more remains.

The rest of the aliens, shocked by this, suddenly activate personal inertia shields that starts to glow with a bright blue light and with a slight light distortion around their bodies.

Quickly you ditch the half molten Fusion-Cell and load another. The aliens start shooting at you with their strange chrome rayguns, blue lasers flying past you as they screech in their otherworldly language. A couple of the robots also start to charge their cone-shaped weapons, cracking electricity and strange energies surrounding the cannons as they charge.

>Rip and tear with your Tesla-Gauntlets as you jump into them and scream with your mechanically altered voice.
Fail

You hide behind one of the occupied tubes and the alien energy blasts break the glass and turn the corpse that was inside to shreds. Chunks of half molten glass and charred blood and flesh falling onto you.

Still behind cover, you grab one of the grenades full of human ashes, and pulverized moon rocks and throw it to the aliens. The grenade explodes shortly after and releases a huge cloud of choking and short-circuiting dust.

One of the aliens has its inertial force field suddenly deactivated due to the dust clogging and affecting its circuits. You take advantage of this and jump out with your flamer pistol and your axetar raised high and quickly burn him down and chop his thin and lithe neck, bathing everything with its green alien blood. The other alien also has its shields weakened, but still in working condition.

You then holster your axe-guitar and charge the remaining alien with your Tesla Claws ready and spewing thunder. You are a giant in a metallic suit, he is a small alien with nothing but a lithe spacesuit and some kind of weakened force shield. This should be easy for you.

Wrong.

Despite having its inertia field weakened he is still untouchable to you, and no matter how hard you press your claws cannot reach his soft and slimy flesh. To add insult to injury, your Tesla Claws end reacting with the alien forcefields, restoring them to a working condition and even overcharging them. When the shields are overcharged enough they shock and push you back, almost throwing you to the ground.

Immediately after the alien robots finally end charging their weapons and launch several balls of energy at you, the balls wildly ricochet against the walls and then explode violently.

The explosion sends you backward but you are still in one piece, nothing inside of you looks or feels broken.

CRIT SUCCESS!

You stumble back to combat position and focus on the robots, their weapons are mightier than you believed at first and thus they are now your main priority. Grabbing your Flamer and Laser pistol you start to dose them with burning liquid fuel and super-heated laser blasts.

The robots start charging their weapons again and despite having a steady aim and managing to land several attacks on them your attacks don't do any damage. After completely discharging both weapons you see that at least you have managed to stop their weapon charge, forcing them to start over.

Now that you have some seconds of advantage you get down and dash towards the alien weapons lying on the floor close to the two dead aliens, grabbing them with your invisible magnetic lasso. Once they are in your possession you notice that while not designed for human hands they are similar enough to manmade weapons for you to use them if only a bit awkwardly.

You launch several shots at the robots but the alien with the overcharged shield gets in the way and allows itself to be targetted by your attacks, it then wails in its alien tongue and does a weird gesture with its arms. You cannot understand him but you are pretty sure that he has told you to go fuck yourself and is now feeling all cocky and bold. You not only do zero damage to your enemies, you suddenly notice that after a few shots your newly acquired weapons are all empty and discharged, and you don't have any alien energy ammunition to reload them.

The alien laughs and wails at you with a strident and inhuman voice and uses a remote control to stop the two robots and pacify them, it wants to take you down on its own.

After ending forced to ditch the alien rifles you focus on the alien soldier and reply to his screeches with a tirade of insults and witty remarks as you flip him the bird with both hands. Your illustrious insults had been all taught to you by your dear friend Saltgut in one of your many drunken nights. Before that fateful night, you didn't know that insults could be so creative and cruel. Now you understand the reason as of why sailors are so well known for their foul language.

"...And your mother is such a whore that all the anal probers of this ship and the motherfucking Zeta-Reticuli galaxy already talk to her on a first-name basis!" You scream with your mechanically altered voice as you end your rant.

The alien obviously doesn't understand what the hell did just say, but he's still acting cocky and feeling invincible. This is personal now, the fucker is going down.
>>
>>3800031

You once more ready your Tesla Gauntlets and go to choke his thin neck. The alien doesn't even react and allows you to do your thing, waiting until it gets boring to act and finish you down.

Your metallic palms cannot touch it, the inertia field simply stops you from reaching it, but now you have noticed something new. Its power field is not only stronger but also bigger and thicker, both outwardly and inwardly. With a mischievous smile, you continue grabbing it by the neck, you once more use the Gauntlet's electric touch to overcharge and increase the shield's size, but in this occasion, you plan to take it to the limit and compress the alien to death. You press and press and the alien continues laughing at you as it sees its shield become stronger and bigger, but the moment the thickness of its shield becomes big enough to start pressing against itself the laugh suddenly stops, and it instead turns into an angry scream of realization as it starts to attempt to stop you.

There's no stopping you now, the alien pushes you back but its shield is so big and massive now that you can always find a new way of reaching it and overcharging them even more.

Ultimately the alien falls on its back, well, it virtually falls on its back, its shield is so big that it isn't even touching the floor now. At some point it starts to spurt blood from its mouth, its skin becomes varicose and full of thick veins, several of its bones break from the pressure and its black and empty eyes simply pop... then its head explodes. The moment it dies the shield violently turns off with an explosion of light and electricity and the body suffers even further damage. Luckily for you thanks to your high intellect and technical knowledge you managed to see the shield entering into a meltdown and exploding from a mile away, so you hid in a safe spot and simply looked from the distance.
>>
>>3800035

The explosion is... surprisingly small but very powerful, the two robot drones weren't affected at all, the alien on the other side... after the explosion the few chunks that remain of the corpse are a gory mess, you can barely recognize anything. It's a pity there was nobody to see you kill it in such an epic way.

You quickly look around and see several things that you might grab, sadly, it seems that most of the items were damaged and broken during the fight and the following explosion. Thanks to your super-advanced tools you might be able to repair them, but you lack alien resources, so you will only be able to repair one object while using the scrapping and using for their materials.

>Repair the drone control module, allows you to control up to two Drone robots.
>Repair the Alien disintegrator, a rifle with impressive damage output and capable of holding a lot of ammo before needing to reload.
>Grab a Drone Cannon from one of the robots and take it for yourself. The Drone Cannon launches balls of energy that ricochet a couple of times before violently exploding.
>Grab the inertia shield, a personal force field that acts as another layer of armor and can be repaired, recharged and even overclocked with electricity.

>Grab the inertia shield, a personal force field that acts as another layer of armor and can be repaired, recharged and even overclocked with electricity.

Not bad, the first fight against the alien menace had ended well enough. Victory for Earth and Humanity!

You grab the inertia shield and examine it for a while, it's a small handheld device that the aliens attach to their belts but by the looks of it you could also stick it to any surface or object. Carefully you put it on your hips next to your many weapons, tools, and decorations and then activate it. The moment you turn it on a small shield of shimmering light and flickering air surrounds you like a bubble, protecting you from all type of attacks. The shield seems to draw power from your own armor and it's Fusion Core, so you better only use it during combat encounters and not at all times.

With the push of a button, you turn off your inertia shield and run towards the circular teleporter pad that the aliens are using to transport their abominations. The moment your entire frame steps in a beam of light engulfs you, slowly your body is turned into atoms and then energy. Slowly, you start to float in the air and layer by layer you begin to disappear, first, your armor goes away, then the clothes, then your skin, muscle, and bones until nothing but your thoughts remain. When you are finally nothing but a wild invisible mess of atoms the machine siphons you across a tube towards other parts of the ship. You cannot see, you cannot hear, you cannot speak, but you can still feel, you feel the cold tubes sucking your essence and transporting you for countless of feet, you feel each sharp turn that the tubes. It is a weird and inhuman sensation, one that these aliens might be used to, one that you will never enjoy.

After what feels like a small eternity you are rematerialized on another pod. Once more you are recreated in layers, and as the bones, muscles, and nerves finally return to you so do your senses. You are incredibly relieved to see that everything is back and in its right place. You look at your Pip-Boy's clock and see that not even a minute has passed, despite having felt like a long time you have really teleported and moved instantaneously.

You look around and find yourself in a small room that leads to a big circular area, you carefully peek outside and see that across the circular room there are another six small rooms like the one you are in spread uniformly, rooms that have a teleporter at the end and are used to connect with other areas of the ship.

Lining the walls of the massive circular room there are thousands of cryo-pods, most of them being stacked one on top of the other and spewing cold gases, possibly byproducts of the liquid nitrogen or whatever coolant they are using. These cryo-pods are similar to the ones that you saw in that vault nearby your hometown back when you were nothing but a little boy, but these are far sleeker, sci-fi looking and technologically advanced. Inside of the few pods that you can look at you can see that there are people, most of them are average humans, but others are different, some with small differences, other with radical mutations. A few ones are bigger and stronger and have slightly greenish skin and small tusks, others have golden skin and are taller and thinner than an average human, there are two of them that are barely human-looking, one full of fur and with the head of a cat, other with scales for skin and the head of an iguana.

In the center of the gigantic room there is something that you can't comprehend, a tear in reality, a strange void in existence that distorts the air around it and spews strange energies and cracking lighting bolts of all colors. Around the tear there are several alien instruments and projector like machines that contain it inside of a powerful energy bubble. By the looks of the countless of cables and their girth containing the tear is taking a lot of energy from the alien ship.

From time to time several of the drone robots cross the bubble and enter into the tear or come out of it. Every time one of the robot returns from beyond it comes out damaged, with cracked dents, deep cuts, burnt areas and even arrows lodged into their metallic bodies. With their return they also bring more unconscious prisoners to cryogenically freeze and then later use experiment on or turn into abominations, the robots that don't return with prisoners instead come back with crates full of strange gems and primitive weapons like swords, maces, and bows.

All of these prisoners either wear plain clothes or armors made from leather or metal, one not very far from you is different though, it has a person in a Power-Armor. Carefully you look into the armor and discern a Brotherhood insignia printed on its chest. No fucking way, the BoS are indeed everywhere.

>Try to rescue the Brotherhood member from cryo-stasis, ask it to aid you.
>Wait until there are no robots around and dive deep into the tear, you have to witness what's on the other side.
>Destroy the energy bubble that contains the bubble, allow the tear to engulf all the ship as you run away.

>Try to rescue the Brotherhood member from cryo-stasis, ask it to aid you.
>Destroy the energy bubble that contains the bubble, allow the tear to engulf all the ship as you run away.

Slowly and trying to be as sneaky as possible you activate your magnetic soles and start softly hovering above the ground, making no noise at all as you slide onto the Cryo-pod that contains the Brotherhood member and start pushing buttons to try and release him. Judging by what you can read from his holotags he is a Knight called Jaime Masterson. You can see several cracks, dried blood, and holes on his T-51 Power-Armor, he is heavily injured you don't know if he will able to be of much help.

Somehow you manage to release him without anyone noticing you. The Cryo-pod opens and the Knight inside clumsily falls down, he instinctively goes to grab the gun at his hip and once he is armed he finally looks up at you.

"A..human?" He then looks around him and sees the alien features of the cryo-storage room you two in.

Softly shaking your head you lend him your hand and help him stand up, then together you return to the teleporter room and hide from any possible alien onlookers.

"My name is Dillinger Rast. How did you end here?"

"Where is here exactly?" He asks, breathing heavily.

"We are deep inside the moon."

"So it didn't work then..."

You look at him confused and kind of angry, what the hell is he talking about?

"What didn't work, I need answers!"

"My name is Jaime Masterson, I'm a Knight of the Eastern Coast Brotherhood of Steel. As you must know by now, aliens are real. In the year 2278, a lone wanderer from the Capital Wasteland was abducted by zetan aliens and taken to their mothership orbiting around Earth. It managed to escape and even took the mothership from the xenos. The wanderer then joined the Brotherhood and after activating Project Purity it left the wasteland, but not before teaching us how to access the Mothership. A secretive splinter group of the Brotherhood went to the mothership to experiment and learn from the alien technology, and somehow, after several years, in the year 2289, we accidentally established contact with another mothership, and from then on waves after waves of aliens and their robots and genetic abominations started to teleport onto the ship with the intention of taking it back. We desperately fought back and attempted to stop their teleportation boarding, but even after being years we could barely understand their teleportation technology, and we accidentally ended teleporting the entire mothership. After the heavy crash most of the ship broke down and strange dimensional cracks started to form. Most of us died either fighting or during the crash, and yet the aliens continued coming in. We didn't know where the hell did we teleport to, but we hoped it was far enough for them to not target Earth anymore. We failed, we are in the moon, we barely moved away."
>>
>>3803467

Their teleportation happened at nearly the same time as the Bright Brotherhood crash-landed and the Moon cracked open. Could the sudden appearance of gigantic mothership under the ground be the cause of the catastrophe and not the ghouls as the people of the moon believe?

"We are now in the years 2328, and aliens haven't taken over the planet. The mothership has been down here for decades. Apparently they are happy with the tears, as they are exploiting them and sending their robots to loot weapons or items and kidnap people and mutants from the other side and then use them to experiment on or turn into more abominations."

Jaime nods and grunts in pain.

"I don't know where that wormhole or whatever it is leads to, but we cannot allow this to continue."

You nod and give him one of your stimpaks, he quickly applies it and then seems to be a little bit better, but he's still kind of injured and barely capable of holding up.

"It seems that the tears need to be contained with these strange energy shields if we take the shields out the tear might increase in size and swallow all the aliens."

"Yeah, or perhaps it might end swallowing all of the moon too." He says kind of angry.

"Got any better idea genius? This is all your fault remember? If you don't know it, the sudden appearance of a fucking massive alien mothership under the moon ended cracking the satellite open, and thousands of meteorites and moon chunks ended falling onto Earth, killing countless people."

He seems to be taken aback by this but then nods softly, believing your words.

"I don't have much time left..." The Brotherhood knight says, struggling to stand up and raise his Plasma rifle. "Alright, let's do this, I cannot allow myself to die without redemption."

You turn on your newly acquired inertia shield and together head into the cryo-storage room guns blazing. Superheated balls of green plasma flying from the Knight's rifle and cracking laser blasts coming out of your weapon.

As soon as you step in Jaime aims at a robot that just got out of the tear and you instead targets one that was heading inside. Both robots die in an explosive fashion shortly after your deadly projectiles impact on their orange bodies.

After detecting your presence several robots and aliens start to come from the different teleporter rooms. Together you mow them down as plasma, blue and red lasers, and strange energy balls fly everywhere. One by one you end throwing all of your ash grenades and manage to glitch out several robots and turn off a few alien force shields. Jaime throws a couple of the many plasma grenades that he had on himself and he also managed to kill about a dozen of aliens and robots.

The Zetans soon start to get desperate and begin releasing the alien abominations loose, these monsters attack anyone who isn't like them, so the aliens and robots are also viciously targeted. The abominations are incredibly fast and their boney claws and toes are able to turn any alien or robot to shreds. Fortunately, they are also frail and a couple of well-aimed punches or laser blasts are good enough to take them down. Just when your ammunitions are starting to run dry one of the alien abominations screeches high and loud and pounces Jaime. You change to your Tesla Claws and launch Jaime the Power-Drill, which he quickly grabs and equips and uses quickly vivisect the monster into dozens of gory chunks.

You help him stand up and see that the abomination has managed to turn a great part of his power armor into scrap metal, the moment he turns upright several pieces of his power-armor fall down, leaving him with nothing but the PA frame and his helmet.
>>
>>3803595

"I guess this is it then..." He says while breathing with difficulty. The few visible parts of his body all show blood, both fresh and dried and wounds of several types.

"Ad Victoriam!" He then returned your drill and grabbed all of his remaining Plasma Grenades and simultaneously removes all of their pins as he starts to run towards the tear and the shield generator around it. Several of the abominations jump into him and all of the aliens and robots focus their weapons on Jaime, but nothing can stop him. Leaving a trail of blood he falls down just in front of the tear and then all of the grenades go out together, creating a massive green explosion of superheated plasma and green cracking energies. A miniature sun formed in that room for an instant.

The explosion throws you to the ground but you are generally unaffected. When you recover you see that most of the room is now bathed in green flames, many of the cryo-pods are now damaged and releasing their cooling liquids and gases, freezing everything around. The floor, walls, and ceiling are now decorated with green and red blood, gore and robotic oils and machinery pieces The tear is still there, but it is now bigger, growing bigger and bigger, distorting the air around them and spewing lighting, flames and strange energies. The tear soon starts to suck in everything on its way, the few aliens, robots and abominations that survived are quickly devoured by the evergrowing tear.

Quickly you stand up and start running towards the teleporter you came in. You step inside and then, nothing happens. The damage of the room seems to have deactivated this teleporter, you could try to repair it, run to another teleporter and try your luck or simply allow the tear to take you in, there will aliens to fight on the other side after all.

DOUBLE NAT12 SUPER X-TREME CRIT SUCCESS!!!

You run towards the teleporter you came from and start masterfully using all of your tools to repair it as best as you can. Fixing connections, bolting loose pieces and welding cracked metal slabs.

Nervously you look back and see that the dimensional tear in now gargantuan and that almost all of the cryo-storage room has been devoured, it won't take it too long for you to be swallowed too, and then, who know where will you appear. You have to return home if you don't the Enclave will release the Lovebug mosquito and infect the whole world.

Just at the last second, the teleporter's lights inside turn on again. Quickly, you step inside and once more feel the strange and otherworldly sensation of being turned into atoms. The last thing you see, is the tear swallowing the teleporter with you inside.

You are unsure if you have managed to escape or not. Slowly you start to be rebuilt by the teleporter, but when you come out you are not in the same room you came by.

Slowly you move out and see that you are now in a cold, dark and damp rocky building, the walls are illuminated with torches and candles. Everywhere you can see there are dead robots, aliens and people. Behind you there is the teleporter and close to it another small tear, this one seems to be connecting with the Zetan mothership, as there are several energy cables and pipes coming out of it and connecting with the teleporter, who still seems to be in a working condition.

One of the warriors nearby, a muscular blonde woman wearing plate armor and holding a sword weakly raises her weapon at you. She clearly has one of her legs broken and several wounds dot her body, but still, she defiantly attempts to stop you as she comes towards you with anger on her face.

"You...you must be the Daedric prince. I don't know who you are, perhaps a prince unknown until today...but you are a fool! Skyrim belongs to the nords! No matter how many Oblivion gates you create or how many of your magic demons and automatons you spawn we will always defeat them, just like we will defeat y..." She then fell to the floor, dead from blood loss.

The tear that connects to the teleporter seems to flicker for a while, it looks like it is weakening, you cannot spend much time here, but now that you are here you might as well get a memento.

>There are some strange gems on the floor close by, the aliens seemed to be pretty interested on them and they seem to irradiate strange energies. You could perhaps take one of them and use it as your laser cannon's focusing crystal, who knows what kind of strange effects it might have, only one way of finding out.

You quickly snatch the biggest of the gems around and an old and dusty book bound in leather and brass before quickly returning to the teleporter.

When you return, you are alone. There are still several functioning cryo-pods with people inside but besides that, nothing but dead robots, aliens and prisoners. You slowly explore the ship and don't find anyone alive, you are completely alone. It seems that all the aliens around were swallowed by the tear and that for some reason, the tear didn't take the corpses and only transported living subjects...and robots.

Backtracking your steps you return to the elevator and go up, if your plans went well, then the tear hopefully retracted once it had taken all of the aliens, if not...well, you will be then alone on the moon, trapped here, unable to return home, a fate worse than death.

You look at your arms and see them covered in scorch marks, alien blood, moon dust, and the strange frost that the alien coolant left behind, a new layer in your Memento-Mori, a new testimony of the horrible things that the Enclave has made you witness and suffer.

When the elevator opens you are relieved to see Jason Bright and his group of ghoulish astronauts.

"Praise be upon the creator, the wanderer has returned. Have the demons been dealt with?"

"Boy, do I have a crazy story to tell you..." You simply answer.

Over the next hour, you recover, reload your weapons and tell them all about the Mothership, the reason as of why its there and how you apparently traveled to another world or dimension.

"Was this world of made of healing light?" The meek engineer says.

"Not really, it was kind of dark actually... I found these gems thought, shiny, I hope they have some value, the aliens seemed to be pretty interested in them."

"May I?" Says Jason, asking for you to lend him the gem.

You shrug and give it to him. The Glowing One then closes his eyes and brings the gem close to his chest.

"As a Glowing One, I have a special and intricate understanding of radiation, of its warm glow and light. I can sense something similar coming from this gem, it's powerful, but it lacks any kind of radiation inside of it. I could fill it with part of my glow if you agree of course."

>Allow Jason to irradiate the gem, who knows what kind of thing might happen, at worst you will simply a radioactive jewel and it will be slightly harder to sell.
>There is something special about this Gem, you don't want to risk it. Deny his request.

"I don't know...I was thinking of testing its use as a laser focusing lens, and if that didn't work then sell it for caps."

Jason nods slowly and returns the gem to you.

"Feel free to use our workbenches and any and all tools lying around. The miners were quite skilled with tools and left behind a great cache of objects needed for craftmanship."

You then grab the gem, examine it under the light and slowly get up and get to work. Once the gem has been thinned and polished enough to fit inside of your Laser-Cannon you slowly put it inside and lock the mechanism.

With the gun ready you then head to a small empty room that apparently used as a warehouse before the war, you quickly make a shitty humanoid looking dummy with the objects lying around and then get ready to shot.

As you press the trigger the weapon vibrates softly and then it liberates a wild and cracking multicolor laser, its hue shifting from red to blue, then slowly returning back to red. The weapon quickly obliterates the dummy and you discover that when it is red it burns everything in its path when it is blue, it instead freezes. You don't know how is this possible, as it defies several laws of thermodynamics, you don't know why, but you can also know that this power is limited, that the gem is charged and every one of your attacks empties part of that charge, you need to kill with it to recharge, you don't know why you know this, you simply do.

Still shocked by this extraordinary change you allow Bright to irradiate the gem, he smiles at you, as if he had been expecting this to happen. He grabs the polished gem and pushes it deep into his chest, to the point of drawing blood and shoving it into its heart. Jason grunts several times and almost falls to the ground but after a while, he takes the gem out of his body, it is now black in color. He then stands up, the wound healing quickly.

"Take this as a gift of the creator, wanderer."

++++
You once more put it inside of your Laser-Cannon and once more and try again, this time it shifts in another color too, changing from red to green, then blue, and then back to red again. Whenever the laser beam is green your Geiger counter starts to beep wildly, it now an incendiary, freezing and radioactive laser weapon all in one.

"We are now going to the main city to speak with their citizens, they believed that we were the reason for the moon to be cracked open, they need to know the truth, perhaps they will then help us repairing and refueling our rockets so our journey can continue. You are free to accompany us."

>Go with them, meet humanity's first and only off-world city. Ask them to help you refuel the Enclave ship once they stop there.

The three non-feral members of the Bright Brotherhood get their spacesuits ready and then do the same with their savage brethren. Once everybody is properly dressed they then chain them up so they don't end escaping and causing havoc. With everybody ready, they ascend to the surface along with you and then head onto a mining truck. Jason and the other two go into the driver's seats, the others are all herded in the truck's back.

You get on your moon buggy and drive along with them all across the lunar plains of the Sea of Tranquility, avoiding the craters, bottomless ravines, lava rivers, and active volcanoes. Above you lies and endless mantle of stars and planet earth, covered in emerald seas, brown soil, and grey radioactive stormy clouds. Fragments of the moon, old communication and war satellites and other space junk floating above you.

"We are going to arrive in Lunanova soon." Says one of Jason's ghouls using the radio-comm. "Since we are not welcome there we don't know much of the city but apparently it was founded by the many people of the moon when the great war happened, people from many different countries and backgrounds, chinese astronauts, swedish scientists, american soldiers... you name it. They believed that nobody on Earth survived so as the years passed they all left their bases, laboratories and whatnot and then joined in this place, not everybody did it, of course, for example, the some of the miners never learned about the place and thus never joined. Before the war, the place was a massive Chinese base, a gargantuan feat of architecture that was built as a show of prowess and for propaganda. As the years passed the place grew into a fully-fledged city and the rest of the bases were abandoned and used as hydroponic farms, they call these places Little Edens...or Little Dens, I'm not sure, but they use them to grow food and are all manned by the autonomous gardenbots... and that's pretty much all we know."

The city is built inside of a crater and counts with many towers and buildings, all connected by glass tunnels. It is clear that the different buildings have been in part built by people of different nations and schools, as the older parts of the city have clear architectural differences but the newest ones all apparently share the same blended and mixed style. This is Lunanova, the only city, and capital of the United Luna Confederacy. There's a great wall around the crater, with towers full of laser turrets every few feet. Together you drive towards one of the four main gates and before reaching it are halted by a man in a power-armor painted white.

"Stop! Para! Halt!" Says the guard with a young-sounding masculine voice as it raises a laser rifle at your general direction, it has a very weird accent, a clear mix of accents from different countries, it is unlike anything that you have ever heard on America.

The mining truck stops and you do the same shortly after.

"Mutants!" The guard says via radio-comm once he sees Jason and his followers getting down. "We used to sleep much better when we believed Earth to be dead and empty. Now we know that it is full of dangerous genetic deviants like you all! We haven't raided and killed you and group because the foundation of our society is based upon peace, science, and cooperation, but we are on the brink of breaking our most basic laws and ending centuries of peace because your reckless appearance caused so many deaths and damage all across the moon and our beloved Lunanova, now tell me, why should I stop myself from opening fire and committing the first murder that has happened on the moon on the last two hundred years?"

You get down of your moon buggy and start broadcasting across their frequencies too.

"Because they weren't the ones who did it." You say defiantly.

The guard changes and then raises his weapon at you, his hands softly trembling, it was one thing to aim a gun against people in frail spacesuits, but it was different against a power-armored monster like you. Despite trying to sound defiant and bold it was clear that the guard didn't have any type of combat experience.

"Take us to your leaders, we have much to talk about." You continue to say with your booming and monster-like voice.

He hesitates for a while but then changes to a different channel and apparently starts to speak to his superiors, informing them of the situation and asking how to proceed. After a short while, the doors of the gate finally open for you all, and you all are given free access into the city, much to his chagrin.

Once inside you see that the city is divided into different zones, most of them being built inside airtight domes so people could walk around and all connected with trams and walkable passages. One of the few areas not inside of a dome is the one dedicated to industrial usage, full of factories and workshops that constantly spew smoke into the black sky. The biggest dome is the one dedicated to housing people, with dozens of tall and brutalist looking flats covered with circular windows and ceilings full of antennas, the second biggest dome is one dedicated to entertainment and free time with several neon signs and what looked like restaurants, bars, cinemas and a great green ring of trees and spaces full of plants and flowers everywhere. The smallest dome is also the most secure looking one with only a single circular building that almost occupies the entirety of the dome, several laser turrets surrounding the building and every entrance to it, apparently it was the central government of Lunanova, a building that contained the town hall, local police barracks, hospital, and other public services inside of it. To save space everything that wasn't necessary to live was kept away from the domes, so things like vehicles, warehouses, and robots were always stored outside in the void.

You all are forced to park your vehicles near the dome that housed the city's government buildings and then get down, the feral ghouls continue chained inside the truck but the rest of you walk into an airlock to get inside of the city. When the pressurization is finally over your helmets and finally breathe fresh air. A welcoming party composed of the city's mayor and its military and scientific advisors welcome you.

They are...odd.

Their skins are nearly translucid, and you can clearly see their organs and bones behind, every pulsating vein, every muscle contracting. Their eyes are all black and none of them has any hair on their bodies. The scientist advisor has reddish eyes and a decrepit skin, you guess that it must be their version of Ghouls. It's hard to not grimace, but you want to avoid a diplomatic conflict, so you do your best to maintain a neutral expression.

"Welcome to Lunanova, earthworlders, my name is Natalya Yu-Morganicke I am the city's mayor and leader." Her voice sounded soft and crystalline, almost as if it had a small echo to itself. "I think we have much to talk about." She then turned back and slowly walked towards an elevator that was waiting for you all. Together you all ascend into Natalya's office and then she offers you all tea, biscuits and even wine.

"You all have caused quite a stir, your coming years ago caused great damages on the city and moon, damages that we still are repairing to this day. We first focused on our people and our city, but now that we are almost recovered I think that we could end our hostilities and talk. Before your presence, we believed Earth to be barren, and rightfully so, the point of Nuclear warfare is complete and absolute destruction after all. We, of course, received radio transmissions from time to time but always believed them to be pre-recorded messages being sent in a loop. Your arrival here proved us wrong, we are now building a massive telescope that will allow us to watch on Earth and learn more from the post-nuclear human societies. My military advisors want to arm ourselves in case Earth decides to invade us someday, my scientific advisors want to study you all, I just want peace to me and my people. What can we do so we all achieve our goals?"

Natalya and her advisers are spindlier and taller than an average human, it seems that centuries of low gravity, unnatural sunlight and a poor diet lacking in nutrients has slowly changed and mutated them into the state they are now.

The room you all are at seems to have been constructed using the own moon rock, it is a small throneroom from where the mayor and other leaders of the moon debate which actions to take and lead the moon people. Jason starts to talk to the Moon's president and her military advisor.

You walk towards her scientific advisor and see that it is an elderly looking man, he is wearing some spotless clean laboratory vest with several strange dials on the chest, back, and arms. The man has several cables across its clothes, some are loose and end in strange connectors, others connect with parts of his own body. Judging by the look of his body and his steps sounding heavier than the rest he has several bionic augmentations on itself, which makes him weight more than the rest.

"Salut Earthworlder, my name is Haricer Wu-McKeller. I am the director of Lunanova's College of Technology, under my supervision, all of my workers and students learn how to maintain, repair and research the lunar facilities, their life-systems, medicine, and chem creation and supply and also the crafting and installation of bionics for the people who need it. I like to think that we are one of the main reasons as of why we are still alive here on the moon, more than two centuries after the Nuclear Apocalypse."

"Greetings. My name is Dillinger Rast." You say as you remove your helmet and lend him your hand.

The scientist's eyes open wide and he effusively shakes your clawed electrical hand, even with the power turned to its lowest the man still feels a soft tingling sensation when he touches you, but seems to enjoy it and starts admiring your weapon.
>>
>>3806490

"These are my Tesla Gloves, been using them for quite some time now. Stole them from a pirate in Hawaii. I then added the claws and since then they have saved my life in more than one occasion." You say.

"Magnificent craft, very strange screws thought, never seen ones like this."

"Oh yeah, this weapon was made by the Sons of Kanaloa, they make their own tech and want to be the only ones capable of operating, repairing and modifying their own toys, so they make it as hard as possible for the average man to work with their crafts. They use special tools, screws, bolts, nuts...you name it."

"Amazing...but...I'm more interested in you. As you can see, years of isolation and being bathed in strange cosmic radiations have left us tall, frail, thin and with a hairless and transparent skin. I want to name ourselves the Homo Sapiens Seleniensis but the mayor doesn't allow me, she has always told me that since there are no more humans left we should continue being considering ourselves regulars humans instead of an offshoot or subspecies, but now that you are here that might change. But...there's a more pressing matter. Our gene pool is really weak."
>>
>>3806495

Haricer starts to walk and seems to want for you to follow by, apparently wanting some privacy for this matter.

"Not many people founded this city see, only a hundred at most. Our gene pool was extremely limited but heavily varied as there were people of different nationalities and ethnicities. At first, to ensure that future generations would be devoid of genetic defects caused by incest a program was created to pair people together and force them to have children. Of course many were against it, some of the women didn't want to be reduced to baby factories and give birth to children of people they barely knew, other more conservative-leaning people considered it immoral and a few others stated that such act was completely incompatible with their sexual orientation. Things got...pretty muddy and violent afterward, but ultimately the program went ahead, and people became forced to mate with people they didn't like just to ensure a better future. The end justifies the means, thanks to the program the population increased massively in only a couple of generations, but it still wasn't enough to avoid genetic tainting and two centuries later, the result is what you have in front of you. We know that Jason and his kin are extremely irradiated and that their genetic code is a complete mess, besides they are sterile anyway, but you... you are the miracle we have been waiting for, You could bring new genes to our short and dwindling gene pool and save us from an inevitable genetic degeneration. Your help would be invaluable to us, I would help you as best as I could in your quest."

>Allow him to extract your blood and some skin and hair samples. Haricer will have to work hard with this but he might be able to find a way of somehow using your DNA. Once he has helped you send the Enclave to the stars then agree to give more samples, even of seminal fluid.
>Ask him for the most beautiful females in the city that would be willing to get knocked up by you. If you do you will have one hell of a story to tell Saltgut once you return, I mean, what story can compete with the one about you having several mutant children on the fricking moon?
>Tell him about the mothership and it being full of dead people, aliens, and humanoids, perhaps he could gather the DNA of these corpses genetically alter and improving the next generation of Lunanovans... this might be risky though, many of these bodies were heavily mutated and who knows what kind of weird experiment the zetans did on them, so adding their DNA to the gene-pool might have unforeseen consequences.

"I might have something even better for you..."

You then quickly explain your little underground adventure inside of the Mothership and the many cryogenically stored bodies that are in there.

"Albeit as I say, it seems that these people are not regular people at all, some have strange skin colors, odd tusks on their mandibles, pointy ears... and then there are other even more bizarre mutations of what looked like hybrids between cats or iguanas and human beings. These are clearly alien experiments and you should avoid them at all cost, I shouldn't tell you either to not add any alien DNA into the mix. I have seen what can come out if you mix both, and trust me, it's not pretty."

Haricer suddenly stops and looks at you dumbfounded, mouth opened and with a shocked expression. Until today he believed that his people were doomed to a slow inbreeding degenesis, now he had been gifted with the solution to his plight in more ways than he could ever have imagined.

"Allow me to help you with the process. Genetic manipulation isn't my forte but I have witnessed firsthand what an awry genetic experiment can do, and I want to be nearby in case things go wrong."

He nods enthusiastically and seems overly enjoyed by the good news that you have given him. You look at the Mayor and the Military adviser and both also seem to be happy, she because the Ghouls are finally proven innocent from breaking the moon and because now that hostilities are over they will leave as soon as they can. The military adviser because he now has a mothership full of alien weapons, fighter robots and who knows what else down there.

"Since the genetic samples of the people in the mothership might not be enough I am willing to give my own blood and other DNA samples too. And...well, I can also impregnate any woman willing to have my baby. Tell your people about it and see if anyone is interested."

Honestly the idea of fucking one of these moon women kind of repulses you, they are inhumanly tall and thin, with black and empty eyes, no hair at all on their bodies and the worst of all is that due to their transparent skins you will surely be able to see your own cock as you thrust inside. But...this is all for science and the improvement of their lives.

"Oh, don't worry about your samples. Hair, saliva, and blood will be easy to gather...sperm on the other hand. Well, remember I told you that things got kind of muddy when people rejected the idea of the forced breeding program? Well, it was ultimately solved with forceful seed extractors, we surely still have one or two lying around gathering dust and covered in cobwebs. We can also give you some raunchy pre-war porn flicks, centuries have degraded the holofilm thought so don't expect very good quality or sound."

You sigh loudly and shake your head.

"Just give me a plastic cup and I'll fill it in no time." You reply dryly.

Over the next days, the best guards and scientists of Lunanova work side to side with you and the Bright Brotherhood to explore, map and study the alien mothership. To keep everything as secret as possible a laboratory, workshop, and gun range is built in the mine near the mothership and in there, dozens of experiments, dissections, and weapon testings are performed. You help here and there and manage to learn a lot about how their technologies, robotics and even architecture works.

Thanks to your good and rugged looks, your smarts and your many crazy wasteland stories you end making several friends, especially among the women and after a couple of days you start to notice how some them start to hit pretty hard on you, especially after the word spreads about you accessing to sire children with them to create a new and better generation of Lunanovans. Ultimately you decide to go all-in and meet each one of the girls that seem to be interested by you, ending with several dates with then different women.

The following days after you start to date them are kind of a blur. Since their women are still kind of icky to you, you spend the following days dating them and getting drunk in Moonshine and high on Moondust and even a few experimental alien drugs, leaving you with barely any memories of your acts. Luckily for you, the chems never give you bad trips or make turn you into a psychopath, after every one of your dates you have always woken up naked in a bed with one or more of these moon chicks softly hugging you and not somewhere weird or covered in blood.

This lifestyle of getting high and drunk, having fun and waking up naked somewhere random makes you happy, but one morning after waking up with the greatest hangover of your life you suddenly realize, that you enjoy it because it reminds you of your days in the Rustbucket, god you miss it and the boys.

You better keep it down for a little while, give your body some rest from all the drugs, booze and kinky mutant sex in low gravity. You better focus on working with the Lunanovans, the sooner you help them the sooner they will aid you and you will return to Earth. You get on your Moon-Buggy and head into the mines.

>Study the technology behind the alien pistols and rifles, see if you can use it to modify your own weapons or change them to better ones.
>They found some alien saucers inside, see if you can use them to upgrade your rocketbike.
>Check on their robots and other pieces of technology to see if you can upgrade your power-armor, armor mods or bionics.
>Other option, write in.
