Sorry guys I thought it was wednesday today. Let me know when you are here.

Also, isnt it somewhat easier to tell which monsters can be civilized by seeing which ones have a language when we trap them and which ones dont? Then again Krabby can talk now, but that was a very hard evolution

Previous thread here >>3717945

Miellewds-guy here. Sorry for being late.

>Also, isnt it somewhat easier to tell which monsters can be civilized by seeing which ones have a language when we trap them and which ones dont?
Yes, but like with Krabby, I think an actual compiled list of monsters that can start as civilized and which ones have to evolve into Human-level intelligence and how to get there, could be a very good thing for Eldric to put together.

Or maybe there's already a book like that in the Lightbringer Archives and people forgot about it/Tapac didn't tell anyone because no one asked.
>>
There's so many things we need to do, but so little time in the day to do them. We need to delegate more, but while delegating research to Okaba and Asmund gives us research bonuses, all three of us seem to butt heads when it comes to design philosophy and naming convention.

Because it's a lightning gun, not a crossbow.
>>
>>3750294
Here
>>
>>3750342
Well don't forget that even harpies (actually bird beastkin) and succubii have beast-like evolutions that are the typical monster. Its the 'brute-type' evolutions we've had the chance to evolve our pets into a couple of times but never took that chance, so while it is true that beasts can evolve into sophons, the reverse is also true. Intelligence and conscience is not necessarily an evolutionary advantage, after all.

>>3750366
>design philosophy
What do you mean? Their design philosophies are very clear

Asmund wants everything to run on mana syphons, undead or constructs. Okaba wants everything to run on constructs or low AI constructs, preferably with cute bat wings, and Sykia wants to modernize this world and plug everything to a electrick socket on the wall, or a internal bomcustion engine.

Also, she thinks magic is ridiculous. She 'can' use it, but thinks it should be nanomachines or even ethereal machinery or something.

Anyway, you guys want to take the captured bearkin brat with us when we talk to the marquis?

Unrelated. I've been thinking about running a second quest thread. It is probably about time to rescue the XWF thread, if any of you know/remember it
>>
>>3750415
>Anyway, you guys want to take the captured bearkin brat with us when we talk to the marquis?
No, let's keep him under guard in Stella's manor. And up the security.

As for design philosophy, yes, I meant what you said about their design philosophies, that they are opposed to each other most of the time, that's why we can't just let them work on projects separately, otherwise the final products won't work well together. Eldric needs to get involved so that things will still be able to work together in the end.

As for Sykia, she's seen the Sbastian mana siphons, so why can't she accept it as a quantum machine that collects zero-point energy?
>>

I've also been thinking in a sci fi quest. No takers?

>As for Sykia, she's seen the Sbastian mana siphons, so why can't she accept it as a quantum machine that collects zero-point energy?

Because it would be a quantum machine which co... you answered yourself there. Well, I guess we could just order her to stop whining about the laws of thermodynamics and work with it.

We didnt get to make guns, she can deal with her pet "reeeee"

Come think about it, shouldnt we give guns a second look? Even if level and AGI bonus determines ranged damage, wouldnt sheer volume of firepower still make it worth it?

***

"Alright, let's keep the kid here and go have a conversation with the marquis."

>Even if level and AGI bonus determines ranged damage, wouldnt sheer volume of firepower still make it worth it?
I was thinking that maybe instead of damage, we use it as a way to inflict status effects.
Slow, Toad, Armor Down, Defense Down, Silence, Hold.

>Lets apologize about it. Will make us look polite while subtly reminding him he didnt bother sending a single apology to us
>>
>>3750556
so enchanted ammo? Makes me think sniper rifles would be useful, maybe? or maybe spray-n-pray types so it affects as many enemies as possible, but that's what dancers do already and don't have to worry about allies in the line of fire, while their range is very limited... eh, maybe sniper rifles are the way to go
>>
>>3750547
>>Lets apologize about it. Will make us look polite while subtly reminding him he didnt bother sending a single apology to us
>>
>>3750590
I was thinking sniper and battle rifles, with enchanted bullets that are different spells, or the rifle puts the status effect on the bullet as it passes through the barrel.

Not sure which is better.
>>
So, no comments on either the super powered wrestling nor the sci-fi ideas? I am sad

***

"It is alright. Let's just apólogize. After making us wait as much as they did, they can't really say much about it, after all."
"...alright." - our brown skinned imouto nods nods

And so, we [Treestride] back to the marquis' garden, startling a maid as we come out from a tall tree.

"Oh, distinguished guest, what were you doing...?" - she asks, visibly relieved

Well, it looks like she was only now going to look for us, or had just gone look for us and was about to report we were missing...

"Well, since you were looking for us, is the marquis waiting for us in the dinner hall?"
"Ah! Y-yes, please come this way..."

The maid guides us into the manor while we gently hold our imouto's hand.

The dining hall is warmly lit, with about half the candlesticks lit up. It is hard to tell if it is a show of wealth or not, since magical lights are not uncommon in this world, and so spending constantly on candles, specially when you can afford the investment in a permanent light, seems rather pointless.

(by the same token, candles are more common in poorer homes, though commoners tend to at least have one magical lamp)

The marquis is sitting at the end of the table, and next to him is a rather attractive women, presumably his wife, and across from her are two young men who look quite a bit like the marquis.

It seems that whoever his guest was, its finally gone.

Well, Stella is a cute puppy- I mean, she's a wolfkin and we're human, after all.

"Good evening. I am indeed her older brother, Eldric. It is a pleasure to finally make your acquaintance." - rather than an honor, which jabs gently at how they kept us waiting

"Well, we were busy with other business, sadly. Please greet my wife, lady Jubia, and my sons, Fanlo and Edward."

The lady of the house smiles politely as she receives our greetings, and it seems quite genuine, while her sons are more... curt, perhaps? Exactly as polite as they have to be, and no more.

We introduced ourselves using all of our titles, both personal and family ones, though our family doesn't officially has any titles and has always made a point that we are NOT nobility, which is a mayor reason self-appointed nobles are not taken seriously back home. We did use our personal titles such as "Minister of the Right and duke on Mantequira" as well as "Minister of Economy for the Alquian Empire."

I wonder if we should ask Mako for an important-sounding title for stuff like this? I mean, there ARE landless nobility so we could be a whatever of Alquia and not own any land... well, it would definitively be us taking advantage of personal connections... yeah, that would probably be bad.

The Marquis, however, seems to correct his posture a little after we're done, sitting a little bit straighter... his wife keeps the same attitude, though, polite and interested.

Is she the type that judges people on a per case basis rather than by titles? That would be nice.

Ah that makes me think about something else anyway:

Do you want to sit on the marchioness side of the table? That way its 3ppl in one side and 2 on the other. Or on the side of their sons so we can talk to the marchioness more easily? But that way it would be 4 people in one side and the marchioness alone on the other, which for some reason feels really unbalanced to me. Or Stella in one side and ourselves in the other, and if so, who, where? Or sit Stella at the end of the table since she's the honor guest, then us next to her or maybe next to the marchioness?

Alright Im going to assume we are sitting on the marchines' side of the table, then, with Stella next to us at the end of the table.

Thankfully its not that big a table.

***

We pull the chair out for our imouto, then sit next to her.

It is a bit interesting to notice that the servants did not set the table for us beforehand, which would have decided our seating spots for us, but we were allowed to sit anywhere we wanted to.

"Thank you for your invitation." - says our puppy imouto once the servants are done setting the table in front of her - "It is regretable that only now do we get a chance to talk."

"Yes, well, it couldn't be helped." - says the marquis - "Thank you for your patience."

The entrance dish is a salat of low level monster plants with high level fish monster drops. Does that mean the cooks splurged on the fish, were stingy with the veggies, or is it a seasonal thing, maybe its just the recipe? Are we thinking too much about it?

Well I have two questio- maybe more than two really.

1) While it seems fine to leave our (relatively) low level construct-type pets watching the house, shouldnt we send them to level up in a local dungeon?

2) Remind me, have we set the winged girls with any exp party yet? I feel that if we aren't doing anything towards Kya's pet status just yet, it would be a waste to not take the chance while she's technically immortal to go get as much exp as possible in the meanwhile. Maybe along her 'children' and other descendants?

3) How cuddly or lewd do you want the Stella cuddle time to be? IIRC we said our relationship with her would be more S/M than vanilla with her, but in the
I Cute Love Slave I ---------O---------- iToyI
sliding bar, towards which side do you want to move the marking O?

4)Do you want a "meanwhile" scene with Aritsu and Dawn? I assume it would be more than 1200 characters of 'suckle' and 'suck' of course. Well, yuri scenes are surprisingly annoying to write since using "she XXXXX her" gets confusing super fast so have to use the participants names constantly and it feels slightly off after a few lines. Thankfully they're quite different so it doesnt just has to be their names, it can be 'the blonde' 'the princess' 'the elfie' etc

5)Any suggestions? For any of the scenes?
>>
>>3772133
1. they should be part of an XP-grinding team, yes, but have them part of a Party that doesn't push itself to go deep. Their XP gain rate will be slow, but we can't help that because they're needed here to guard the manor.

2. The winged girls should be part of XP farming parties. I think they were going with the Griffons and the Mantis, but a family party of Kya and her daughters sounds nice. So make a family party while Kya is our Pet.
And we can watch Kya and her daughters take part in our Island Manor activities while she's a Pet and feels no shame.

3. 1/4 of the way towards Cute.

4. Yes, I would like a "meanwhile" scene.

5. Cuddly-times with Stella, lots of stroking her hair and stroking her tummy, while kissing her body. Maybe asking her how much she loves big brother, does she want to marry big brother, how does big brother pressing down on her feel?

As for Aritsu and Dawn, exploring each other's bodies, maybe experimenting with where Eldric put those jewelled plugs with their tongues. Maybe having the head maid join in as part of her maid duties.

>>Other: It is the will of the Empress, so it cannot be helped. Kiss Yin, the Harpies, and Ren.

With a smile, we walk over and picl up the small bundle of documents. Indeed, it is not enough work to count as much, and it seems like most of it are simple progress reports, the most important of which would be the new aquaculture labs coming out with a way to produce low agression, low power fish species as the beginnings of a safer food industry.

Sadly the fish are quite small right now, so once the breed has been settled into an easy-to-handle one, selective breeding will begin for size and weight. On the plus size, the ones we do have right now appear to be quite tasty and easy to raise, so perhaps if mass breeding was implemented, quantity could prove to have a quality all its own?

"Well, this looks like good news." - we comment as we sign the report and put it back down on the desk
"Ah, the aquaculture laboratories..." - Yin approaches to pick it up

So, we obviously take the chance to grab and kiss her, gently.

"Ah! me too!" - cries our cutest, most petite harpy as she runs over from the cuddle pile

Her feet go 'pat pat' as she crosses the room.

>Smooch her and pat her head

>>Smooch her and pat her head

"Are you being a good girl?" - we ask her as we smooch her forehead and pat her head
"Ye~s" - she chirps happily

Of course we get swamped by the rest of the flock, as even the more mature of them want to get petted and smooched by us.

"Our duke." - says Ren with a slightly pained smile as she is left alone - "Shouldn't you have greeted your empress first?"
"I'm sorry, but there never was a way to get to you without passing by them first."

She claps her hands, and the harpies turn around to look at her before she invites her to go grab 'tasty treats' from the kitchens, which successfully sends all of them except for Nina and Sirona.

Nina stays back to report on their work, while Sirona seems to have preferred her master's cuddles rather than cookies and pastries.

Well, they're both good girls, so lets give them another smooch and gently place them aside so we can properly greet Ren, yup,

"Hm~ our duke is truly beloved by his pets, isn't he?" - she walks over, wearing a long but very light gold and white dress.

It clings beautifully and elegantly to her figure, leaving the upper sides of her thighs and waist exposed while otherwise covering her from the neck down, giving a very fresh and interesting contrast. The dress has no sleeves coming down from her shoulders, though she is wearing soft and loose gloves from her hands to her elbows.

It feels very fantasyesque, but also very elegant and proper.

You sure thats a good idea? She's already pregnant from us and loves us quite a bit, I mean, it may give her the impression we're willing to leave Mako for her or something like that
>>
>>3784128
I thought we told her that we love her and Mako. Am I misremembering things?
>>
>>3784128
I checked, We intend to love them both, though we didn't tell Ren that, and we already started making arrangements for the two of them to be able to meet frequently.

We only told Ren that the one time we had with her wouldn't be the last, like she thought. So we told her we're going to marry Mako, but we also said that we'd be with her in the future as well.
So I think she knows we want to love them both?

Uhmm... I think you're right, but maybe we shouldn't overstate it, is what im saying
>>
>>3784168
Ah, okay. Then just keep it to a passionate kiss. And maybe some loving caresses instead of saying anything?
>>
>>3784170
Sure. Maybe we could give it an illicit/exciting air in the future? Though it would also be nice if we could all enjoy time together in the future.

Everyone alright with >>3784170
or do you still wanna go with the love confession?

Have Ren send away her servants under the flimsy excuse of discussing important matters of state, before making love with Eldric, who then has to satisfy Ren and her Shadows?

Maybe it would be nice if Ren and Mako could use our island manor for "diplomatic retreats", which are really just hedonistic times where they can leave behind their responsibilities and worries, and simply spend time with the man they love and each other.

<- how's this for a harpy Ren? Just throwing out that with how many levels she has, she can actually get to choose any race she wants if she goes through the citizen->monster process, unlike the soldier we transformed, who didnt get a choice.

I was thinking in family friendly BBQs so our daughters could spend time with each other in the future? But I guess we could have either a small nursery area for them, or a small lewd area for us *shrugs*

***

We wait for her to come a little closer, then gently wrap our arms around her waist and lean in to kiss her. Her dress is absolutely opaque, but it is so thin and light it still feels as if we were caressing her with nothing between our hands and her.

"Our duke... we have news." - she says with a happy smile and shining eyes

As we hear her confirm her pregnancy, we

>Hug her more gently and kiss her again, then promise to work (was going to say twice as hard but thats not too hard, is it?) much harder for the princesses' future
>Pick her up and kiss her until she stops us, cherishing the family in our arms, in silence. (since that's pretty much tradition)

She smiles happily as we hold and kiss her, her left sandal falling off in her susprise while we kiss her lower tummy.

"Our duke, y-you're too demonstrative...!" - she complains happily

We keep holding and kissing her until the harpies come back and start asking for the same treatment.

She wants to know if we have any name suggestions...

Rena and Reina are pronounced differently. But that’s fine.

I like Kinu.
