The day humanity took to the stars was a day of hope. The Earth had become inhospitable, and it was time to find a new planet to reside. We rallied behind a man who had opened up the universe to us, a new Emperor to lead humanity into the vast expanse of space. All possibilities were opened that day. The stars didn't look any bigger, but instead looked so much brighter. With countless fleets at our side, and a desire in our heart, we held hands and took that first step together into the great unknown. All of humanities petty squabbles had come to an end. Now, we were one force with one common goal. Home. The day that will live on in every history book.

Centuries have passed, and that peace lives only in history. The last Emperor is gone, and the search for a fully habitable planet continues. The Unity of humanity is broken, torn apart by anger and differences in philosophy. Three main fleets served as the new banners, the new Kingdoms in the Stars.

Camelot, the regal and militaristic, rallied behind their Queen Julia Porter.

Athens, the diplomatic and innovative, rallied behind their President Apollo.

Shinto, the traditional and battle-hungry, rallied behind their Chieftain Sun Boros.

Unaffiliated ships are known as the Han. Most who choose to fly in the dangers of open space with no alliance to a fleet do so in control of the criminal underbelly of humanity, operating outside of man's law.

This is the future we have afforded ourselves. The stars appear larger than they did that day, but with time they have dulled.

“I don’t like the look of this...”

Galahad’s voice comes in over the communicator, contacting you from his ship as you instruct your own pilots. “What you like is not anyone’s concern but your own,” you remind him. “We are receiving assistance from an additional force. Aren’t you the one who wishes to mitigate casualties?”

“Yeah, but...” Galahad sighs. “It’s Kingpin Dong. He’s not some friendly volunteer force. He’s a crime lord.”

“I don’t like it either,” Major Jon Windham speaks, basically parroting his general. Fool has no opinions of his own, does he? “A crime lord isn’t someone we want to get into bed with, and bringing LB with him is just overkill.”

“I used to work under him,” Daizee points out. “It’s not a good time, trust me.”

You shake your head. “It seems your ship is all in agreement, General. Do you intend to turn tail and run?”

“No, of course not.”

“Good,” you reply coldly. “I’d have you thrown in prison if you abandoned your duty.”

“Prick,” Daizee Danger mutters over the comm.

You grunt. “You’re still connected, I heard that.”

“I know, you were supposed to.”

As they disconnect, you turn to your crew and issue their commands. They’re to fly into the side docking area of the NOAH, and to be ready for a potential armed force firing at the hull of their ships if they do. There don’t seem to be any fighter ships buzzing around the fleet, so you shouldn’t expect a dogfight for the time being.

“This shouldn’t take too long,” you remark.

Linda Lynch yawns. “I don’t know why we’re sending our forces to help the NOAH anyway, what have they ever done for us. Now, if it was Shinto who needed help...”

“Shinto actively raids our ships,” you mention with a growl. “If we’re attacked by a Shinto ship and you defect because you can’t respect your own culture, I’ll shoot you myself.”

“I-it was just a joke...” Linda mutters. “Shinto is cool and all, but I’d never leave you… uhh, I mean, I wouldn’t leave Camelot...”

Linda blushes and spins her chair to face away from you as you make your way to check on Alexa Bates. She’s at a table in the hold, already finished adjusting her blasters. At the table, she pulls out a small container and pours out a hot broth into a cup. She has a bright smile on her face as she sniffs the broth then takes a comforting sip.

“We’re about to enter battle, you know,” you point out. “You’re a new Major, you should be on-form to prove you deserve that position.”

“We’re not in battle right now, are we?” she points out. “This is my grandma’s lucky soup. She always said if you drank it, you’d have good luck all day. It’s why I’m such a good shot.”

“How superstitious.”

“Also it’s delicious,” Major Bates adds. “You want some?”

>No.

Alexa smiles as she shakes the cup in front of you. "Come on, you'll love it! Just a sip!"

You fold your arms. "Absolutely not. Get into gear, Major. Or I'll find someone more prepared for your role."

Alexa's smile fades as she lets out a sigh. She sets the cup of soup aside, and readies her equipment, standing up to face you, her face inches from yours. Her eyes narrow, as she looks to you with an annoyed expression. "Can I tell you something?"

"You have permission, yes."

"When I was a little girl..." she begins. "My mother and gran always told me these fantastical stories about the knight and generals of Camelot. The greatest heroes in the galaxy, masters in combat and upholders of chivalry and civility. They laughed when I said I wanted to marry a knight someday. It was so far-fetched. But I worked my way up from shooting cans with my dad to being on the verge of becoming a knight myself. Then at a big celebration after a successful mission... a knight approaches me."

"I approached you," you remark.

Alexa shakes her head. "I'm aware. General Gawain... the famous General Gawain. The hero among heroes, the gallant and handsome knight. He looked like everyone out of the stories, and carried himself like it to. He asked me to dance, and by the end of the night he kissed me and we went to bed together. I was... this silly naive common child. I thought I had just entered the storybook romance with the knight from the old stories... but they're just old stories, aren't they. The idea that knights are some chivalrous noble beings above the rest of us... that's not what we have. Instead, we have this. We have... you."

Alexa pulls away from you before returning to the table. "With all due respect, general, I'm going to finish my lucky soup."

You don't say a word as you return to the cockpit, where Linda is preparing her weapons. "General, you were talking with Major Bates for a while... what was that about?"

>Do you intend on eavesdropping on every conversation? Return to your preparations, Major.

"Oh..." Linda mutters, red in the face. "Yes... sorry, General."

She returns to her adjustments, as Gallahad comes in on the comm.

"We're approaching the NOAH, no fighter resistance in sight," Gallahad notes. "Could it be a trap?"

You shake your head. "More likely they don't expect an external force's involvement. As far as we know the rescue signal sent from Cass Shao wasn't intercepted, so we're catching them off guard."

Daizee Danger speaks again over the comm, constantly pushing her luck. "Alrighty then, it's time to fly into this baby! Hit the music!"

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jXdhKyIEQpM

"That's coming in on our comms," you point out. "It's a distraction."

"It's a motivator!" Daizee exclaims. "Let's blow this scene!"

Gallahad sighs. "Come on Daizee, we can't be reckless!"

"Don't worry, Safety is my middle name!"

"Good... wait, but your last name is-"

"YEEHAW!" Daizee exclaims as she blasts forward, Gallahad's ship flinging itself forward ahead of the pack.

You sigh. "Idiot..."

You look out from the cockpit as you see Gallahad's ship charging towards the dock... then letting out an errant shot... that hits a cloaked target. The ship appears in view and goes down, before another cloaked ship gets hit. "So they were hiding interceptors," you note. "And she snuffed them out..."

"Cleared a path for you!" Daizee laughs over comm as her music continues to play. "You can thank me in person!"

As you land in the side dock of the NOAH, you step out of your ship and have a pilot's helmet thrown your way by the smirking Daizee. You swat it aside, as she gives a confident wink. "Impressed, General?"

"That's you dodging the question," Daizee jokes.

"That's me taking this mission seriously," your remark.

As you turn to move forward, you see a group of armed soldiers in heavy armour rushing towards you. They ready their weapons and point them in your direction. "The NOAH fleet won't accept outside interference," a soldier remarks. "You'll have the entire galaxy on your back if you try to attack Marco Shao."

You glare at them. "Please, we all know Marco Shao isn't running things around here. Or perhaps you don't?"

"Stay back! We're on explicit orders to hold back any unexpected dockers!"

"Yes yes, we all have orders," you sigh. They clutch their weapons tightly as you shake your head. So be it, if they don'y loosen their grips, you'll do it for them.

You wave your hands, as their metal weapons move to the side in accordance with your wave, pulling the men and dragging them over the railings to their side. A long drop below.

Jon Windham places his hands on his hips in awe. "Pretty great Biochip power you have there... never saw it in person before."

You ignore him as you press on.

"Okay then," Gallahad nods. "I just hope Marco and his Grandmother are okay..."

"Why are you speaking of them like you know them, like you should care for their wellbeing?" you ask. "It would be good news if Marco Shao is still alive, his neutral stance keeps the NOAH from allocating its resources to a potential enemy fleet. But as a person, I have no care for the man."

"Well, that's you," Gallahad points out. "Not me."

You scoff. "You best not jeopardise this with any unnecessary heroics because of some misplaced empathy."

"Never misplaced," Gallahad replies. "Besides, I'm hoping to get through this as quickly and peacefully as possible myself. I'm hoping I won't even have to resort to my Biochip."

"Resort?" Alexa Bates mutters. "I don't understand. If I had a Biochip I'd be using it all the time."

You look to her with a glare. "You don't know what his power is, do you?"

She shrugs. "Never worked in the field together until now. Can't say that I have."

"I'll explain it..." Gallahad mutters.

You storm towards the main palace with determination, nothing standing in your path. A soldier pops out from behind a corner, and one of your knives slits his throat before he can pull the trigger. Just as quickly, the knife returns to your side. Once you reach the front of the palace, out stands... or rather sits, one of the conspirators in a hover chair, his elderly head encased in a jar. Over his shoulder appears to be a remote gattling turret, one that could punch holes of blaster fire within you in a matter of seconds. Behind him is a soldier guarding the captive Cass Shao.

"Knights of Camelot..." Werner, the conspirator, speaks in a distorted tone through his voice box. It sounds like a screeching cat layered over a violin string as he speaks, but you can make out the fuzzy speech. "I suggest you take your leave. The NOAH is under our control, Marco Shao is our legal captive, and you have no right to engage with us."

"A little late for that," you remark. "You're nothing more than the Yellow Turbans part two. Nothing but bad for all of us. I suggest you stand down before I smash that vase on your head followed by your skull."

"It seems we have a failure to communicate," Werner responds. "But you must know that we hold all the cards in this situation. The death of the Shaos would be a galactic disaster, but the pair are safe in our captivity."

Without a move, and as the old man drones on through his voice box, you focus your mind on his collar... and pull him forward. He flies out of his chair, many wires being pulled from his headgear as he does, before falling head first onto the ground bellow, his casing shattering and his juices leaking out onto the floor. His voice box also goes haywire as he slowly dies on the ground, a high pitched screech running throughout the area, almost deafening you.

The soldier on hand spins to take out Cass Shao once he processes what happened... but his hand is quickly shot by Alexa, with his blaster flying out of it. Linda Lynch dashes into frame and slices him down... before another soldier fires a shot, catching Linda in the abdomen.

"LINDA!" Gallahad calls out in concern, before rushing to take out the soldier who caught her.

You make your way towards Linda and prop her up. "What's you condition, Major?" you ask.

Linda lays back in your arms and groans. "I'll be fine, General... just might not be able to move for a while... thanks for the concern."

You shake your head as you lay her down gently, before looking to Cass Shao. "Issue resolved, we'll take it from here."

"I almost never expected Camelot to come for aid..." Cass remarks. "That was a desperation move on my part. They killed my nephew, they captured my grandson... these men I've known for decades turning against us, trying to gain power for themselves... disgraceful."

In the background, you hear rumblings and roaring in the streets of the ship. "What the hell is...?" Alexa mutters.

"It's LB, isn't it?" Jon Windham replies. "He's arrived and he's fighting."

"LB?!" Cass gasps. "As in... Kingpin Dong's adopted son? Did he defect to Camelot."

"No, Dong has provided us with assistance," you explain.

Cass pauses, with a look of shock and disbelief. "You... what?! You called in a crime lord for help? Why on earth would you do that?"

"Because he brings a superweapon," Daizee shrugs. "That LB... uhh, you might all want to grab hold of something."

"Why?" Alexa asks, but he question is soon answered by a massive wave of energy that expels out from the centre of the city streets, even reaching you at the palace gates. You brace yourself, but are knocked back by Daizee flying back and colliding with you. You pick yourself up, as Alexa lays back, stunned. "What on earth was..."

"We saw it in action during the fight with the Yellow Turbans," Gallahad explains.

"That power..." you mutter, seeing it for yourself for the first time. "The rumours are true. He's no myth. He truly does possess the strongest biochip of all..."

"Don't think I'm not grateful," Cass explains. "But I do have innocent lives to worry about."

You brush aside Cass Shao, pawning her off to one of your men before pressing on inside the palace. "You aren't even going to give her an answer?" Alexa asks you as she follows behind. "Nothing to calm her fears about her people getting caught in the crossfire?"

"It's not my duty to comfort people," you explain.

Alexa sighs. "Yes, yes... it's never your duty to be a decent person, is it? Let's just move."

She sounds angry with you.

You press on toward the throne room, but find yourself pinned down under heavy fire on the way. William Gram is at the head of the men firing, pooling out from the throne room... he was the former general of the armed forces, turned away and imprisoned for his treasonous plotting. But with his replacement quickly killed it seems he's back in charge of his men. You get under cover, and fire your knives out over it. You keep full cover, meaning you're moving your knives blindly around, hoping that they'll hit something. Alexa takes the more daring approach to poke her head out from cover to take her shots, but you can't deny that her form and speed are fantastic, and she hits every shot too. There's a clear reason why you chose her to be one of your Majors.

The heavy fire you were caught under seems to dwindle out as Major Bates takes them out one-by-one with relative ease. Once the rain of fire has come to a standstill, Alexa looks to you and smiles. "Not bad for a commoner, right?"

You look to Alexa and with your powers pull her forward towards you by the metal plating of her armour. She looks shocked as she flies up into your arms, and even more confused when you move her gun with your mind, raising her hand up with it.

Alexa doesn't waste time turning her head to check. She trusts you, and fires, catching one soldier, then the other.

"I..." she muttered. "I didn't expect you to step in and save me..."

"THAT'S my duty," you explain, before letting go of her and pressing on.

"I see..."

As you move ahead, you see William Gram standing in front of the throne, his lucerne hammer in hand. Despite his age, he looks energetic and raring for a fight. "Do you really intend to carry on with this?" you ask him. "Your ten other conspirators are dead by now. Do you think you can hold onto the NOAH at this rate?"

You would have finished him off, but you're interrupted by a great smashing sound. LB breaking through the wall at an alarming speed, finding himself between you and Gram. He spots Gram, and Gram moves towards him, but the giant LB grabs Gram by the face, holding him up high... before wringing his neck like he was killing a bird. Perhaps normal people are of a lesser species to this man, this brute.

From behind you waddles the fat Kingpin Dong. His licks his lips as he spots Alexa, then pats you on the shoulder as he passes by you. "Har! Looks like my pet monster got a little ahead of himself! Well, he took out the other conspirators, so looks like this is settled!"

"Yes," Gallahad nods as he comes in with his two Majors behind him. "Now to free Marco Shao and... uhh... Mr. Dong, are you listening?"

He isn't. Instead, Dong doesn't take his eyes off Marco's throne. He steps forward, turning around and taking a seat upon the throne. "Comfy..." he mutters. "I could get used to this. There! Now that we're settled, you Camelot stooges can take your pointy swords and FUCK OFF!"

You glare at him. "Do you honestly think our purpose here was to allow you to sit there? We're here to prevent corruption in the neutral state."

"And yet you led me right here," Dong smirks. "I'm tired of lurking in the shadows while doing my business. Everyone knows I'm more a representative of the Han than anyone else! Every fleet owes me a favour! It's about time I... upgraded. Marco Shao can be my new ward seeing as all of that child's advisers are gone now!"

"Would you really dare take the NOAH?" you ask. "And turn every fleet in the galaxy against you?"

"And what?" Dong laughs. "Would you dare try and stop me?"

You take a step forward, and LB takes a step, blocking the path between you and Dong. Even if you unleashed your knives, none would get through his speed and defence.

"Gawain..." Gallahad mutters. "He has us... we need to fall back and inform the Queen. Then if he continues this tyranny, we can attack with a united force. I don't like it, but..."

"You think I shouldn't die here in the name of my duty?" you wonder.

Gallahad shakes his head. "Brother... if you die for duty now, you'll only hurt your country in a senseless sacrifice. We need to fall back and regroup. You know this... you're smarter than me."

You never once take your eyes off LB. His are the eyes of the devil, and unstoppable evil. How did this thing even come into being. You tense your fist...

>I will continue to fight in the name of duty! Kingpin Dong, get off that throne!
>Dammit... I hate that you're right. Everyone move back! This... this is a retreat.

>I will continue to fight in the name of duty! Kingpin Dong, get off that throne!

Kingpin Dong lets out a loud, raucous laugh. He continues to cackle until he clutches his stomach, aching. "Ohoho! That's rich! You see the beast before you, don't you?"

"I do," you reply. "And I also know the vows I made when I took up my position. I will fight to the death in the name of my duty and my country, even in the face of impossible odds."

"He's right!" Jon Windham chimes in, inspired by your comment. "We have two Biochip users on our side. It might seem tough, but he's still one man! We can't fail!"

Jon Windham, a good man full of vim and vigour, charges into battle, ready to take it to LB. He drives his sword into the abdomen of LB... and the sword shatters. LB smirks, as the suddenly wide-eye and terrified Windham is skewered with his spear, straight through the heart.

"JON, NO!" Gallahad cries.

"Dammit, we need to fall back!" Daizee exclaims. "We can't fight that thing!"

LB tosses the lifeless Jon Windham aside. He was a good man, but now he's a dead man. He looks to you with a challenging glare, as you ready your knives.

"General, fall back!" Alexa yells at you.

"You'd abandon your-"

"YES!" she yells. "Don't be stupid, you can accomplish a lot more for your country when you aren't dead!"

You shake your head as you go to meet LB in battle. "I can die with no regrets, knowing that my resolve remains true! Come face me, demon!"

And LB steps forward.

And he destroys you.

Nothing you could do could even bring harm to the beast. He dodged every one of your attacks, and when you finally found an opening, the knives simply bounced off him.

Now you lay pinned down beneath LB, broken and bloody. "Go ahead, kill me..." you mutter. "Do your duty, as I have done mine."

LB raises his spear, but Dong raises his hand. "This crazy fool has a death wish," he jokes. "Don't oblige him, if that's what he wants."

"You're sparing me?" you ask.

Dong shakes his head. "No, of course not. Take a leg, throw him in prison."

Your eyes widen as LB drives his flat edged spear right into your leg, right at the knee joint. It's a clean cut, as your left leg is completely severed from your body. You scream in pain, as LB reaches to carry you to a dark jail cell, not even giving you the satisfaction of death...

When something swats his hand away and grabs you.

You look up, to see Gallahad holding you in his arms, his left eye glowing purple.

"You idiot..." you mutter.

"I won't leave my friend behind!" Gallahad announces. "I'll kill you if you try to take him from me!"

With that, Gallahad uses his improved speed to run for the entrance with you in his arms.

LB grunts. "Should I give chase?"

Dong smirks and shakes his head. "Do not pursue, LB..." he remarks. "After all, I am a benevolent ruler."

That fool... that stupid bastard, that noble sack of shit. He would dare drag you from battle? And use his life-risking power... in the name of a retreat? That's... the greatest insult you could have handed to you.

"I don't care if you hate me for this," Gallahad tells you. "I didn't react in time to save one friend. I won't lose two."

"He's losing a lot of blood!" Daizee exclaims. "Holy Shit, THEY TOOK HIS LEG!"

"General, don't fade out, stay with us!" Alexa's voice calls out. "If you see a light, don't walk into it!"

You awake days later.

You didn't even have time to mourn your missing leg. Seeing the value of their finest general, your cybernetic prosthetic replacement was already attached and installed in your sleep. You doubt anyone outside of your position would have gotten that kind of care and treatment.

No-one is at your bedside when you wake up, but as you sit on the edge of the bed, the doors to your room slide open and in walks Janna Von Beck, the lead general and protector of the Queen.

"Gawain..." she looks at you with a stern face. Her expression is a mixture of anger, disappointment and concern. "It's good to see you're finally awake. It hasn't been a day since you returned to the fleet... you didn't stir once while you were moved."

"I'm not known to stir," you remark.

"What do you have to say?" she adds.

>That coward Gallahad forcibly pulled me from the line of duty. You should have words with him.
>I... failed my duty as a General of Camelot. I do not know where to turn to from here.

>I... failed my duty as a General of Camelot. I do not know where to turn to from here.

Janna tilts her head. "I almost agree with that statement... but I also think we look at that statement in different ways. What do you think your failure was?"

"I couldn't accomplish our goals, and when met with my ultimate fate, I allowed myself to be taken away in an unwilling retreat."

Janna sighs as she approaches you, sitting on the edge of your bed and placing a hand on your shoulder. Janna Von Beck, the most respected knight in Camelot. Stern and strong, yet kind and compassionate, she is a mother to her troops and a perfect guardian and friend to the young Queen. "That wasn't where you failed. You failed yourself by letting your pride get in the way of your common sense. I could understand your action in the exploit that cost you Major Landseer... but this? You stood up against an impossible wall, one you knew you would accomplish nothing against, yet chose to fight against it anyway because you felt like you were supposed to. That wasn't living up to your duty as a knight. It was stupid, suicidal, selfish ego... but this isn't the end for you."

"You aren't going to discipline me? Strip me off my rank?"

"You've received more than enough punishment already," Janna explains. "I'm not in the business of kicking a man while he's down. I'm interested in building them back up into the great knights I know they are. You've garnered a reputation, Gawain. You've been sleeping around, getting into fights-"

"It's not required I remain chaste," you point out. "And I don't care for expectations of me. I follow my duty as a knight in combat to the letter. Don't try to force all these pointless additional rules, that have nothing to do with my ability as a soldier."

"Follow your duty to the letter... to the death, it seems," Janna mutters. "Do you want to die, Gawain?"

"Sometimes."

A silence falls between the two of you. She pats you on the shoulder and stands up. "It won't take long before you get used to the new leg, but you will have to take a psychological evaluation before returning to the field. It's common practice, I'm sure you'll pass."

She turns to walk away, before turning back. "Oh, and you might want to unwind. The newly docked soldiers are engaging in a celebration at the moment, lead by Major Danger."

"Celebration?" you mutter. "The mission was a failure."

"Most soldiers consider surviving a call for celebration," Janna explains. "And a way to remember those who didn't come home. Promise me you'll go."

"... Fine."

>Later that evening

"Let's take a moment to remember my co-major..." Daizee Danger speaks to the group at the party. "He was a good man who gave his all, and went down like a champ! He went face to face with LB of all people! This one's for you, Jon!"

This is horrendous.

Daizee spots you from across the room as she boogies on the dancefloor. She doesn't do anything to annoy you, simply gives you a nod. You don't nod back.

You take a seat in a booth where you are quickly brought a glass of wine by a serving girl. It seems they are quick to recognise their superiors... wait, no. You're sleeping with that girl, this is likely a gift from her. You had honestly lost track... perhaps you're becoming detached.

"Major Lynch," you note as Linda Lynch passes by. She freezes up, likely surprised to see you here.

"G-General!" she mumbles. "You're out and about earlier than I thought..."

"I could say the same for you," you remark.

Linda give a small smile as she pulls up her shirt, revealing the bandaging over her wound. "Wasn't enough to slow me down for long. You know, in Shinto they would treat wounds by pouring... ah, forget it... when I heard what happened to you, I... didn't know if you were going to make it."

Linda gives a smile, as her cheeks turn slightly red. "That's a nice way to put it, General. Nicer than your usual."

You give a shrug. "Just speaking the truth, Major. I didn't select you without reason."

Linda bows. "Thank you, Gawain."

"Proper salute," you remind her.

She stands up and gives the proper salute before moving on... just as Galahad slides into the booth beside you.

"Hey..." Galahad mutters.

You ignore him and sip on your wine.

He nods. "I know you're likely angry with me... I understand. But I saw the way Jon went..." his voice trails off thinking of his Major. "It was so quick. In an instant... he was gone. I couldn't let you fall to the same fate. You might hate me, but I don't hate you. I've known you all my life. We were found together, brought in together, raised under the same roof. We're practically brothers-"

"Watch it," you warn him.

Galahad sighs. "Sorry. It seems you've taken to the prosthetic well."

"You can barely tell the difference," you tell him. "There's only one reminder I've noticed that it's not my real leg."

"And what's that?"

You pause. "It's cold."

"Oh..." he mutters. He looks ahead, hesitating before finally speaking his mind. "I don't care if you hate me for it. I couldn't live with myself if I let you die. We came into this world together, and I couldn't let my brothers light snuff out like that. To save you, that was my duty."

"You used your biochip," you note. "You put your life on the line for mine. You colossal fool."

"I know, and I'd do it again..." Galahad mutters. "Gawain... I know you don't care for me. But... if I die before you, would you care?"

"That's the answer I expected..." Galahad sighs. "I'll leave you be, buddy. I'll go drink with Daizee."

"You don't drink alcohol," you point out.

Galahad smiles, he's likely pleased that you would point out the details you know about him. "Neither does Daizee, she only drinks water in case she gets called to pilot at any time."

You look across the room to see Daizee whooping and hollering and lifting her shirt to flash cheering soldiers. "That's... sober?"

"She likes to party," Galahad nods. "... Take care, Gawain. I really do mean that."

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A8fSnMqQQYk

Galahad walks away from you, and ends up approaching Linda. He asks the Major if she wants to dance, and soon the two are waltzing on the dance floor. An opening you've made with many a woman, but in his case there's a lot more innocence to it. Galahad would likely wish to uphold the standards of Courtly Love with Major Lynch. As you watch him and Linda slowdance as Daizee jokingly cheers them on, Alexa Bates slides into the booth next to you.

"Can't I get a moment of peace?" you wonder.

"Nah..." Alexa smiles. "How are you holding up?"

You sigh. "Pain, searing everywhere. I feel like a disgrace."

"You're not," she assures you, placing a hand on your knee after checking to see if anyone's looking. "But... you're definitely not allowed to talk about how stupid commoners are supposed to be after that stunt you pulled."

"Why are you talking to me?" you ask. "I assumed you'd still be upset."

Alexa looks away. "I can't pretend I'm even close to understanding you, General... but I think I'm starting to crack that nut. Until then, I'm your Major and at your side."

You nod, slowly placing your arm around her, gently placing your hand on her hip... before she moves it away. "Not tonight, actually..." Alexa explains. "I think we both need the time and space to think to ourselves. You can't screw your problems away. But..."

She pulls out the canister from earlier. "I think you might want to finally try some of my grandma's soup."

Your stern expression fades away, as you can't help but take the hot cup. "Sure... maybe I could use that luck."

Alexa smiles at you, as you clink your respective cups together. "Bottoms up, General... to many lucky days ahead."

"One can only hope."

I liked it, glad Gawain is still alive, it would have been a shame to lose such an interesting and fun character to play.
I liked this Camelot group and I am looking forward to more sessions with them.
Throw LB to the space that ought to slow him down a little bit.
Probably claim his new rightful wife from Shinto.

Great thread book! Even with the hiccup!

This thread definitly helped show off the group, and I still really like them! I can already tell Gawain is going to have one of those full series length character arcs, and I love it.

I guess for LB it depends on how busted invincible is. Could the blackhole power tear him apart? What about the lack of air in space? So on.

DONG IS A DONG

Thanks for running Booker.

>PQ
Gawain's still based, and it's fun watching the rest of the crew bounce of each other

My guess is poison or the cold vacuum of space. I definitely want to avoid Kilroy ever fighting him due to LB having the ability to reflect damage which, when you throw in a god damn Singularity is a receipe for disaster.
