In the last episode, our intrepid MC, Henri Lothringen, wandered around Paris and met Marie, a young National Populist. The two went on a date and Henri started to listen to her ideals, and became interested. The two walked around for a bit before going there seperate ways. You then went home, and went to bed.

>Paris, French Commune
>September 1, 1939. 6:10 AM

As you woke up, you checked your clock. It was 6:10, a bit later than you were used to. That was fine, however, as today was a Saturday. The Paris Commune guaranteed a five day a week work schedule, which meant you got weekends off. Something was up today, however, it was oddly quiet. You opened your window, and heard a newsboy spouting the latest headlines.
"Extra! Extra! The Commune of France declares war on the Deutsches Kaiserreich, other members of the Internationale expected to follow suit! General mobilization pushed up four months! Our troops are pushing into Alsace-Lorraine!" You sat there, shocked. Not by the war, everyone was expecting that, but by the fact that mobilization was bumped up. You now had less than a month before you were shipped out. Well, you better make the most of it, you thought.

After the butter melts, you pour your eggs onto the pan and season with salt and pepper. You roll it out onto a plate and start to eat with a fork and knife. It could have done with some cheese, but other than that it was okay.

After a bit more walking, you two come to a small-ish two story building, a bit off the beaten path. It had the logo of the Tricolour axe.

Seeing how anons are probably going for the natpop route, we should probably get acquainted with how things work. Also, QM as much as I like character development things are going pretty slow. I get that these might be baby steps before working up to the meat of the plot line but two threads in and all we've been doing it chatting up Marie. I'm loving the concept, not so much the pacing.

In and around Paris there were many small museums. They were all free, and many of them were memoriums to the General Strike of 1919. The same general strike that led to the French civil war, and the Commune being established. You walked to the nearest one, the Musée De la Pensée. It was a small museum of many of the various French philosophers and politicians throughout the years. Not all of them Syndicalist, in fact many of them were not. They even had a small area dedicated to Philip Pettain, the father of French Populism, and leader of the FNPP in the French Republic. You step into the small, white building and are greeted by the receptionist. It was split into left and right, where it would meet in the middle.

You head through the right door, and the first face you see is Philippe Pettain. Its a portrait of him, drawn by some local artist, and a plaque under him that reads his basic history. How he was a war hero, and how seeing France loose everything caused him to found the FNPP. He longed for not only a return to French glory, but a return of the monarchy to some extent. However, unlike the Populists in Romania, he was not an anti-semite. He didn't see the Jews as the antithesis to French society, instead it was the Syndicalists, who he hated with a burning passion. Of course many of his followers felt the same way, and you yourself were never completely loyal to the Syndicalists in the first place.

The further left you went, however, saw more current and active figures. These included Charles Rappoport, Marceau Pivert, and Sébastien Faure. Sebastien was the current chairman of the French Commune, and was an anarchist. Past that there were a few posters of various syndicalist parties that had existed throughout France's history. There was also a small exhibit of the various currencies that France had gone through. From that, however, the museum ended. The clock read 8:30, and you stepped back outside, still having some more time to kill.
