>Paris, French Commune
>August 31, 1939. 6:39 PM

You stepped into the "Café Des Syndicalistes." You had just gotten off of work hours and you were a bit tired. There was a feeling of tension through all of France at the time. The Internationale and Mitteleuropa were mobilized and ready for war at a moments notice. All it would take was a spark. A general draft was instituted, however your service in the French Peoples Army was not until a few months, so you spent your time relaxing around Paris. The cafe is a bit crowded, however you are able to find your way to a table.

Sorry about leaving the thread for a bit, will get back to writing now.

>The option chosen is to leave the cafe.
You walk out of the cafe. Despite the fact you were born and raised here in The Commune, you still werent... well lets say dead set on Syndicalism. You're German father made sure of that. You walked back out onto the streets of Paris, and start to wander. You see all the propoganda, attempting to justify the mobilization. You sigh, it was only a matter of time before you had to join the army. As you walk along, a quaint little antiques exchange catches your eye.

You enter the exchange. It was fairly empty, except for a young couple and the cashier .It was stocked with things of all sorts. Old paintings, propoganda posters from the Weltkrieg, chairs, a table, and a crystal ball with some coral in it. The cashier was a rather short Frenchwoman, who wore a dark brown coat and wore a tricolour armband, with a white circle. In the circle, A red, white, and blue axe was sewn in. This was the logo of the French republic's National Populist party. Populists weren't very popular here in Paris, but the Commune's laws guarenteed freedom of expression. However that was certainly due to change if war broke out.

You keep looking around, and see a few more odds and ends. Your eyes land on a steel plated lighter. You imediately thought of your draft card and chuckled. There were a few anti-government posters he saw, telling people to burn their draft cards. That was a fairly big crime though. The thought didn't seem to leave your mind, however.

"Oh," she seemed a bit thrown off by the change in topic, but was always ready to talk about National Populism. "National Populism is the belief that France has seen better days." She begins. "We have lost two wars with the damned Germans, and the Syndicalists betrayed us with the revolution!" She says loudly. The shop was empty at this point, so she could say this without getting a few weird looks. "We must step up and retake our rightful place as the leader of Europe, as we were under Napoleon Bonaparte!" She says again. She seemed really passionate. "Well... Personality is more something to find out than to ask about, so we'll go for her personal life. What's she studying here in Paris?

"You seem very... Ideologically centred," You say "What do you do to unwind." you add.
"O-oh, well to that extent... I like taking walks, and reading," she starts "I like both fiction and non-fiction. But I do like fiction a bit more." she says. The waiter comes and sets down the... actually kind of small serving. I guess it made sense, resources were starting to be routed to the army.

"Whats your favorite book?" You ask
"Well, i like alternate history, so Fuherreich: Legacy of the Great War is pretty interesting." She says
"Oh, i heard about that, never got around to reading it though..." You say.
"You should, its really interesting, its a cool take on What if the Entente won the Weltkrieg." She explains.
"Maybe I will." You say, interested. She takes her fork and starts eating the Coq au Vin. You start eating as well, and soon you are both done with the food.

"Great! So could I." You say. The waiter comes and asks if we would like desert, and You say yes. He hands us a desert and drinks menu.

"That sounds great!" She says. The waiter comes over to the table and takes down our orders, coming back a few minutes later with a plate of Macarons. Again, the plate was rather small, but any amount of Macarons is a good amount of Macarons. You both eat from the plate until there are none left. The waiter comes back and hands the check. The bill comes to 185 Francs.

As Marie started to reach for the check, you stopped her.
"Oh, don't worry, I'll pay!" You say with a smile. She smiled back.
"Thanks." she said, putting her hand back by her side. You reached into your pocket and pulled out the money. You set it on the check and hand it to the waiter. Who walks away.

I feel like we should disengage so we can go look for the NatPop party HQ, but I also want this date to end well.

"Hey, so... Would you like to go for a walk?" You ask.
"Sure, I would like that." She smiled. As you two walked through the door, into the brisk Autumn air, you walked down the streets of Paris. Marie walked next to you, and eventually, you interlocked arms. This went on for about an hour, before Marie checked her watch.
"Oh Shi..." she said, staring down at the time. It was 8:41 "I have to go." she said.
"Oh, okay." You said. turning to her.
"Hey, um... I have your number, so I'll call you, okay?" she asked.
"Yeah sure, whenever." you said.
"Great!" and with that, she scurried off into the night.

You start to head home, but before you do, you take out the note and read it. Three Parisian addresses, all tied to the same "National France" party based in the French Republic. One of the addresses was circled. You folded it back up and headed back to your home. You passed by the same Antiques Exchange, and finally you got back to your apartment. Walked up the eight flights of stairs, and into your apartment.
