You are Yumigawa Rushorou, and you stand on the precipice of victory in the Holy Grail War.You've changed a great deal since waking up in an abandoned parking garage in the middle of a burning city. A week ago, you were a 5'9" tall student, 100% human, and had a fairly different face. You'd also never been in a fight. Since then, you've been dragged into a free-for-all death game known as the Holy Grail War, learned of the existence of magic, contracted a semi-divine witch to fight by your side, and been reforged into a "conceptual being," an inhuman imitation of ancient heroes. That was all on the first day.The Holy Grail War is a battle between seven magi, contracted to the spirits of seven heroes of the past, classified as Saber, Lancer, Archer, Rider, Caster, Assassin, and Berserker. Each duo is known as a Master and Servant, and when only one pair remains the two are promised one wish from the omnipotent Holy Grail each. So far, Saber, Lancer, and Assassin have been eliminated and only two of the seven Masters remain alive. It's the afternoon of the eighth day of the war, and you're watching Berserker succumb to mana deficiency.Previous thread: >>3385048Suptg Archive:http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/qstarchive.html?tags=Sweets-Loving%20QMStatus Information:https://pastebin.com/qsKX4p5b
Where we left off...You exit the hotel to find Berserker sitting limply on the steps, no longer sealed in by Caster's magic. You can sense the energy that animates her rapidly fading away in the absence of a master. Evidently her consumption rate is much higher than that of Rider or Saber, let alone Archer. You walk up to the weakening girl and say...>[ ] "Ambrose is dead. Now, Adelheid, you're no longer chained to that coward; you can become the Servant of a worthy Master. Fight by my side, and we'll seize the Grail!" (Compassion)>[ ] "With Ambrose dead you're fading fast, Berserker. Become my Servant. I'm afraid you have no other options." (Pride)>[ ] ...nothing. Just watch the girl fade away. (Self-Preservation)>[ ] ...something else (write in)
>>3400554>[ ] "Ambrose is dead. Now, Adelheid, you're no longer chained to that coward; you can become the Servant of a worthy Master. Fight by my side, and we'll seize the Grail!" (Compassion)We already had this vote in the bag, SweetsYour fortune: You will meet a dark handsome stranger
>>3400554>[ ] "Ambrose is dead. Now, Adelheid, you're no longer chained to that coward; you can become the Servant of a worthy Master. Fight by my side, and we'll seize the Grail!" (Compassion)>>3400563That's a foreboding fortune.
You squat down, bringing your eyes almost level with those of the fading girl, and lay a hand on her shoulder. "Joe Ambrose is dead, Adelheid," you say, "You no longer have any duty to that coward. You're free to become the Servant of a worthy Master." You take one of her limp hands in yours and continue, "Make a contract with me, Adelheid. Fight by my side, and together we can seize the Grail!""Fufufu" Adelheid lets out a weak laugh without raising her head. "You needn't inform me, young man. I felt it the minute you killed Ambrose." Then she breathes a long sigh. "There was a time when I'd have condemned anyone who betrayed even a lost cause. Honor is found in a death unsullied by treachery or cowardice." Adelheid's voice fades into silence, and she considers the matter for a long moment before continuing. "But then again, I've had a death like that already, so it seems I can afford to be more pragmatic this time around." She turns her eyes to meet yours, continuing, "very well, Rushorou. I'll become your Servant. I need some immediate aid, first, though, or I'll fade away right now." Before you can ask what she means by "immediate aid," the girl reaches out with startling speed and holds your face in her hands, moving in for a kiss before you can react. At first you only feel the softness of her lips; then they part, and you're tasting her. Your breathing melds together, and your eyes stay open and locked, blue filling your vision. Flavors of burnt sugar, coffee, and blood mix in an exquisite bouquet, and you let yourself go completely; intertwining your tongue with Adelheid's, almost unconsciously seeking more. As you're losing yourself in the moment you dimly register the feeling of something flowing out of you. Then she breaks off, wiping her lips with satisfaction, and you realize what it is you've lost. She was drinking in your energy; taking it in through your saliva. The uniformed girl gets to her feet, lively once more, with a wide smile. "I was right about you," she says, "your mystic energy is just to my liking." You can't seem to formulate a response. Bizarrely, the shock of your first kiss is having a more powerful effect on your mind than that of your first murder. Glancing to your left, you discover that Caster is similarly frozen in shock. The only one who is able to regain the gravity of the moment is Adelheid. Assuming an expression of ritual solemnity, she takes your right hand in both of hers and goes down on one knee. "I ask of you, Magus," she intones, "are you the Master of Berserker?"
Pulling yourself together to give the moment the dignity it deserves, you answer, "Yes." Then your hand is illuminated by familiar red light, and a tongue of flame burns itself into the crest there, alongside the three wings already present. At the same moment, you feel a weight settle in all over your body, and a pervasive chill fills your magic circuits despite their passive state. This, apparently, is the malaise that comes with a heavy drain on your Od.Berserker gets to her feet, brightly saying, "Now then, it seems my woeful inaction is at an end. What now, Rushorou?">[ ] The three of you will pursue Rider posthaste. It's time to bring this war to an end by eliminating the last living Master aside from yourself. BERSERKER HAS ALREADY TOUCHED YOUR MASTER
I've been trying to ignore it, but now I've got to ask. Just why do you folks hate Kikuko so much?
>>34015991. She’s not Rushorou2. She’s bad at her job3. Sadistic THOT4. Useless THOT 5. Tangentially related to the servant who shall not be named
>>3401599She's a frivolous flighty broad, and that all there is to her.Compared to the other wonderful girls we've encountered on this little journey, her being a random basic bitch makes her contemptible at best.We should have pawned her off or killed her when we had the chance. The idea of her even being considered part of the potential harem disgusts me more than the idea of having a harem to being with.
>>3401599I actually kind of like her.
>>3401599I frankly disliked Kikuko from the get-go, then she turned out to be the exact opposite of my type (pic related).
>>3401599Probably because of that one dead end where she laughs her ass off when we die.And her backstory saying that she was quite the bitch didn't help either (to be fair she didn't choose to be in the war but that won't stop anons from hating her)
>>3401599Better Question. Why SHOULD we like her? You've given us next to no reason to like her over any other girl.Besides making her a cute girl, but those a dime a dozen.
>>3401635Yeah, your right. All of our interactions with her has been negative and, as far as we know, Kikuko's a bitch just because.
>>3401613Like, sure, she's kind of objectively bad morally. But at the end of the day she just wanted to survive, her wish was selfish and stupid but wasn't THAT malicious. But can a psychopath really judge a sadist? She is mentally fucked sure, but that sort of shit is a given when you keep seeing people die, Rushorou never really gave a fuck about the deaths. Without the war Rushorou would probably have become a serial killer. Like, 90 percent sure on that.
>>3401646>Without the war Rushorou would probably have become a serial killer.Which is why we need more Compassion.
>>3401646It's not about morality. She's not just a bad person, she's a stupid vapid person.Even in your defense of her you haven't named anything GOOD, just how her bad traits aren't as bad as people may think. At the end of the day though what you have left is still a boring basic bitch.
>>3401648Nah, our participation in this war has led us down a different path already. The path to rule!seriously though what will the Divine Spirits think of us if we enable them to interact with the world once more.
>>3401661I mean, absolute loyalty is pretty neat. She's fairly intelligent too.
>>3401673>Let her servant make all the choices for her cause she couldn't be bothered >Let herself get captured and mind raped because she didn't have a back up plan>Fairly IntelligentYeah sure.As for the "loyalty" bit, you mean the thing we forced on her via the aforementioned mind rape?If you want loyalty how about getting it from a girl that will give it willingly.Like literally every other girl in the bowl.Having a slave is pretty cool I guess.
>>3401646>Reeeeee don’t judge people because MC is a sociopathic monsterBasically everything Rushorou’s done up to now has been done with the express purpose of winning. He’s been generally honorable in his dealings with his allies, and has acted against his enemies while keeping in mind what they are; enemies who need to die. If the war never happened and Rushorou were still a baseline human, he would’ve been a (still admittedly sociopathic) CEO who operates to increase share value for the shareholders imo. Kikuko to contrast him has the functional alignment of retarded evil: she acts in nonsensical ways which only appease her basest feelings, and enjoys hurting people for the hell of it. Absolutely nothing about her is admirable or likeable. She will adorn no statues, nor grace any grand histories.
>>3401685To be fair it's not like anybody was expecting us to launch our way across a river to another skyscraper. It's even less likely to expect a guy to keep a totally straight face while he's plotting to murder a guy and kidnap you. She's no Rushorou, but she was smart enough to keep her position as school queen. She appreciates our value and her first attempt at an alliance was genuine. But after that failed, Archer started making the decisions.LOT OF GOOD HE WAS AT DOING THAT.The betrayal was Archer's idea, and his fault. You're now aware of the ironic fate we bestowed upon her.>she wanted to be loved unconditionally >now she is loyal to us unconditionally.
>>3401700Anon, Rushorou totally would've gone on to go full Kira.Or become COOOOOOOL.The magic festival of murder is the only thing that's ever made him feel.
>>3401617Fun coincidence. That pic is the exact opposite of my type.As for being a THOT, I thought I'd made it clear that she's never actually been in a relationship. She was too narcissistic to actually let anyone touch her.
>>3401716>Fun coincidence. That pic is the exact opposite of my type.I was with you, through the beginning, until this post. Fuck you and fuck your quest.

>>3401716>she's never actually been in a relationship. She was too narcissistic to actually let anyone touch her.I got it, we blow her off to make her "settle", then realize that being kind isn't so bad, or something like that.
>>3401704>She couldn't expect Rush being a total badassAfter everything that's happened in the war I think you are giving her too much credit. Her capture and Sunglasses-san's death were caused by overconfidence and stupidity. >but she was smart enough to keep her position as school queen.Wow, the highschool girl has the social skills of an above average high schoolgirl. I'm not impressed. As for the irony of her current situation, I don't mean to imply she's a poorly written character.Just one that doesn't deserve sympathy or serious attention as a waifu candidate.
>>3401748
>>3401716What is your motivation famo? It's like you want us to hate her.
>>3401767It's like CIRCE wants us to hate her.Who exactly was in charge of showing us her memories?Do you realllly think Circe would show us any of her redeeming qualities if she has them?
>>3401716Look, if she breathes she’s a thot. It’s just how it is.
>>3401788But we can probably order her to stop breathing...
>>3401716Also, as a note- when most anons say they hate a character, it’s not because they’re a shit CHARACTER. The writing and display is just fine, if not very good. I just utterly despise them. If anything, it’s a good thing you can make me press S to spit so hard!
>>3401783Fair enough, but all evidence point to her being a vapid floozy even before we saw her memories. You're just giving her the benefit of the doubt, even though there is a whole case against her.
>>3401802>willing to give literally Hitler benefit of the doubt>not willing to give mean high school girl benefit of the doubtUuuuuh.
>>3401797Hmm, that didn’t sound quite right. Me personally, I really like your writing and way of displaying characters. But DAMN if Kikuko isn’t the most shit textual waifu ever to exist.
>>3401818While we're on the topic of the quest itself I've gotta say this is easily one of my favourites.
>>3401827And yeah, I would like to see more of Kikuko.Maybe not being a massive bitch. That would be nice to see if she's got another side.
>>3401812Berserker is at the very least a loyal servant with good qualities. She actually IS smart, and has charisma beyond petty highschool shenanigans. She's a useful asset to our team, and her ambitious match and complement Rush's own.She deserves respect, and has earned it.Kikuko is JUST a dumb bitch and deserves nothing of the sort.Besides Circe is best girl anyway.
>>3401845We'll see.I want to see more of our allies in general anyway.
>>3401872Yeah, if there’s any weakness to this quest it’s that there’s minimal downtime. And while I get the whole “you all keep voting for action”, there have been a fair few timeskips. Oh well.
>>3401872That's something we can agree on. I miss being about to hang out with our boys without threat of waifu disapproval. One last note one the Kikuko issue, please understand any "developments" in her character should be attributed to the mind rape.As far as I'm concerned OG Kikuko is legitimate trash garbage.Quality character, shit waifu.
>>3401899Yeah.I kind of want to fuck around in the base for a couple of days while keeping an eye on Rider and Archer.Archer's Noble Phantasm is far too difficult to directly engage. We'll need a battle plan too.I hope training and planning doesn't piss off Berserker.I mean it shouldn't, considering that preparation is how Germany got so far.
>>3401767I don't really have a motivation when it comes to you folks liking or disliking her; just curious why all the hate seems to be zeroing in on this one girl when, IMO, all the characters are pretty flawed.>>3401899More downtime, huh? I'll work on that, sure. It's harder to write downtime than action, so I'll admit I've been kind of putting it aside.
On that note, the vote is currently 3 for immediately chasing down Rider, one for having a strategy meeting with Caster and Berserker here, and one for going back to the university.
>>3401949Let's figure out a strategy to sink that NP.
>>3401949I switched from chasing Rider to heading the the university, QM.

>>3401939While the characters are all pretty flawed, Kikuko specifically has no positive traits to balance hers out while the others do.More downtime would also be nice. I don't want to get punished for spending some time with the cast. Getting to know the characters you've made would definitely be nice. >>3402676>>3402681Solid reasoning. Lets see how it goes then.
>>3402688You seem unconvinced, Hitler-chan.
Dang, I hope QM checked the sudden shift before writing.
As you consider Adelheid's question, you allow your new weariness to take hold, and you sink down to take a seat on the hotel's granite steps. "What shall we do now..." you consider aloud. "Well, what do you think? Caster? Berserker? Do you feel it's wise to pursue Archer or Rider straightaway, or shall we return to the university and prepare for the battle at our leisure?""Now hold on," Caster shouts indignantly, coming back to herself. "Berserker! How dare you take advantage of Master that way!" Then she rounds on you. "And you, Master! Why didn't you chastise that little wench for such behavior?" As she harangues the two of you, her wings make small unconscious flapping motions that punctuate her words. You raise a hand to ward off Caster's fury, but before you can begin to speak Berserker leaps to her own defense. "Come now, Caster," she says, smirking, "couldn't you see I was fading away? I just had to have some of Rushorou's energy as soon as possible!" The girl licks her lips before continuing, "as a Caster, I'm sure you're familiar with the efficacy of bodily fluids in transferring energy. Are you saying I should have used something else?""She has a point, Caster," you say, cutting in before Caster can get bogged down in Berserker's strange provocation. "Berserker was obviously in desperate need of mystic energy." You spread your hands in a placating gesture. "It is true that she had an overly invasive method of getting it, but I can forgive this sole transgression given the circumstances."At the responses from the two of you, Caster sends Adelheid a look of pure hatred, but as she returns her eyes to you the enchantress forces her resentment beneath a smiling facade. "Alright then, Master," she says with effected tranquility, "if you can forgive Berserker, I suppose I'll just have to forget the incident.""Excellent," you reply. "Now what about the war? I did ask for your opinions on our course of action."Berserker is the first to speak up. "Archer," she declares firmly, "should be our first target. If he can conclude an alliance with Rider, he'll be able to make full use of his range from aboard the ship. Before that, though, he's vulnerable; it should be easy to crush him with the two of us.""I see," you reply. It is true that Archer makes a tempting target. His high Magic Resistance was the first reason why you wanted to recruit Berserker, after all. Still, is now the right time to attack him? In any case, Adelheid should be in possession of all the facts before you make a decision on that subject. "I wouldn't underestimate Archer just because he's outnumbered," you tell her. "Not only is he an expert fighter, his Noble Phantasm is quite dangerous. It's a pistol that somehow ensures its shot will always strike the enemy before their own attacks can connect."
"No matter," Berserker says. "Regardless of his power, we'll have to fight him eventually. I say we strike now, before he can find out we've joined forces and prepare."Then Caster interjects, finally making her position known. "I'm against fighting another Servant right now," she declares, shaking her head. "Master, we haven't tested the extent to which maintaining two Servants strains your magic circuits; getting into a fight right away could spell disaster. It would be wiser to retreat to the university and focus on defending ourselves until we've made a clear plan of action.""You're not concerned about the possibility of Archer and Rider regrouping on the Queen Anne's Revenge?" you ask. It's a dangerous enough combination to have wiped out both Caster and Lancer during your previous skirmish, and not something you're eager to let happen again."Not particularly," Caster replies. "I was able to survive both of them during our last battle, and that was when Archer had a proper Master. If it comes to an assault, they'll be on my territory, and I'll be able to crush them without difficulty.""Suppose they bombard the university with cannon fire from a distance," Berserker says. "How do you suppose you'd handle that, hmm?"Caster is undaunted by the prospect, however. "In that case," she declares, "we'll mount an attack! You'll be making yourself useful as a front-line soldier, of course.""And how about Cid," you wonder aloud. "He seems to be getting more involved in the War now that there are less surviving Servants. Suppose they make some kind of deal with him?""That's a problem we'll have to deal with if it comes," says Caster, "and I doubt it will. What I am certain of, Master, is the need to get you used to the energy burden that supporting two Servants puts on you. Let's return to the university.""If one lets an enemy recover from a moment of weakness, it's lost forever," cautions Adelheid. "If we don't defeat Archer as soon as we can, there's no telling what may become of him. Let us go into battle, Rushorou!"Both Servants raise valid points, and you sit considering them for some time. >>3403554We could have Caster reinforce Berserker, send her out ahead of us to make Archer believe it's just her and corral him into pincer between the two Servants. Caster could, of course, be near us to make sure we don't get personnel'd.Then again, there's no telling if Cid would take advantage of our then dilapidated state by sending Rider after us.
Wait, what time is it, QM? In-universe, I mean.
>>3403554>[ ] ...take Caster's advice and return to the university to train and plan. (Self-Preservation)Adelheid doesn't know that Rider killed all the masters, at this point Archer is basically fucked. He can't get a new master unless he attacks the university and attempts to steal a master candidate, or attempts to kill Rider to take his Master. It is because of Archer's desperate need for a Master that I believe he would be opposed to bombarding the university indiscriminately and would possibly betray Rider then and there. It's also unlikely the two would team up once again anyway, out of mutual distrust after what happened the last time they tried to.Rider himself is also a simple matter.Should he appear once more with his Noble Phantasm and attempt to bombard us, we will simply scry his Master's location and slaughter them. This will make his ship crumble, just like it did last time.Everything is going according to plan.
>>3403626Then again Caster might just be saying this so she can rape us.But hey, a war plan is necessary. Can't just rush in and wing it, you understand.Archer right now will be like a rabid dog.His options right now will be limited to1) infiltrate the university and steal a Master 2) kill us, and then as with 13) team up with Rider and kill him in order to contract with his MasterBesides, he's not limited to just his pistol. He's been using a rifle on occasion too.I don't want to be blindsided by a dynamite explosion after we corner him.He could have any number of wild west weapons.
>>3403634It'd be even worse if we pursue him between 12 and 1.
>>3403636IT'S HIGH NOON.Archer is a dangerous wild card. And fuck his bullshit NP.
>>3403637I mean, it’s not really that bullshit as far as NPs go. He has to be within reasonable range and, as I recall it, requires some sort of provocative attack to use it. In addition, I figure Berserker will be able to tank that trash. I only really worry for Caster with that attack, because she’s definitely in the one-hit class of Servants Colt .45 can merc. But then again, we’ve gotten this far without Caster being forced to use and NPs. Hopefully we can just keep that up.

>>3404114The snake skin has a connection to Gilgamesh specifically since Enkidu isn't around when the snake steals from Gilgamesh. Enkidu is an important character, certainly, but the catalyst to summon a hero is a connection between the summoner and the hero and not the summoner and the story as a whole. Compatibility only really matters when you have no catalyst to work with.

After some consideration, you make a decision. "Alright, Caster," you say. "You've convinced me. For the time being, let's return to the university. With no danger of being outnumbered, I think we can finally afford to spend some time fighting defensively.""What?" This time it's Adelheid's turn to be indignant. "After all that talk about being a more worthy Master, now you're going to retreat behind your walls? What's become of that intrepid spirit that followed an unknown voice out of your gardens? Having taken the advantage in this war with a brave and active strategy, do you mean to fall back into cowardly passivity?"It's difficult not to be moved by the girl's exhortations. It's true that you've gotten this far by constantly pressing any advantage you can gain. Maybe it would be better to strike immediately after all...No, you decide; you've already made your decision, and won't have it changed by Adelheid's comments. "Whatever your views on the matter may be," you declare, "Caster has a point. Sustaining the two of you is a heavy drain on my energy, and I'd like to make sure I can keep it up. Besides, from the university we can formulate an effective plan of attack. It's planning, as much as action, that secures a victory.""Very well then, Master," Adelheid says, still audibly irritable. "I hope I can trust you to keep your word regarding the eventual attack. I-""If you're quite done," Caster interjects, "step this way, you two, and I can return us to the university." "Once more, Berserker," you say, "my decision is made." Taking silence for assent, you step over to the indicated area. Once you and Berserker are within the circle of Caster's wings, she calls, "Tροψα," and the world fades from view. Vision returns, and the three of you stand in the university's opulent entryway. Adelheid surveys the place with energetic interest, remarking, "So this is your headquarters, eh, Rushorou?" Before you can respond, she continues, "It's certainly a more fitting place from which to lead a War than that hotel was. Why don't you show me around, since we've already resolved not to take action this afternoon?">[ ] "Certainly," you reply. "You can meet the rest of our group as we go. Can we show her around later, QM?
>>3405390You can certainly plan to.
>>3405390We may as well do it now. It's a little bit of give-and-take since we overruled her on attacking Archer, it gives us a chance to interact with the crew, and it gives Berserker a chance to meet everyone and flaunt her status in front of her rivals so she (hopefully) doesn't make a scene at dinner.

"Certainly," you reply. "You can meet the rest of our group as we go. It truly is a lovely place, although I have to tell you it's an enormous building. We may not have exhausted its full extent by dinner, in fact.""Oh?" Adelheid gives you a mischievous smile. "Well, now you've gotten me all the more excited! Lead on, and we'll see if this university of yours is truly as monumental as you imply."As you make your progress through the halls, however, Adelheid is neither awestruck by the decadent construction of the place, as you had been, nor in love with its palatial beauty, as Truvietianne was. Instead, she turns a critical eye on the place, frequently pointing out th proportions which she would see altered, or those particular decorative statues and friezes which she deems superfluous. In this manner, progressing through the university like an owner accompanying a critic, you pass through the dining hall, the library, the gallery, and numerous corridors and lecture halls, all without catching sight of Matsuda, Ogawara, or Truvietianne. As you take a rest from the endless walk in one of the salons, the girl pronounces her judgement on the place as a whole. "It is too small," she declares with a petulant frown. You raise an eyebrow at the shocking declaration. "Too small? Adelheid, this building is enormous! How large could you possibly want the place to be?""You misunderstand me, Rushorou," the girl says, waving a dismissive hand. "The structure of the building as a whole is fine; the place is large enough to be a true palace or fortress. The architect, on the other hand, could not adapt to this size. Look around you, at these rooms and hallways. They're tiny!"In fact, the spaciousness of its various rooms and halls was one of the better points of the university, you feel. Still, you hold your tongue and let Adelheid continue her critique."No room but the academic facilities," Adelheid declares, "can hold more than a few people. In the corridors, the walls seem to close in and oppress the students, and the art follows a similar pattern. None of it is properly grand, and its petty stature is compensated for by far too much detail squeezed into every possible surface.""I see," you say, diplomatically withholding your own grand impressions of the place. "How would you have designed it, then?"
Adelheid gets to her feet, beginning to pace as she explains her views. "Listen, Rushorou," she says, "whether one is designing an academy or a chancellery, the principles of the matter remain the same. You must impress upon all visitors the grandeur of the building's subject. In a university this would be the transcendence of learning, and for a government building the power of the nation. The architectural principles behind either are the same, however. First, the place must be filled with grand spaces. Wherever in the building one is, the airy loftiness of its ceilings, wide spacing of the walls, and monumental scope of its decor should ensure that all within it feel dwarfed by the building. This is the greatest failing of this university." As she makes this point, Adelheid stops to point up at the ceiling. "Do you see the height of this room? Two men, one standing on the other's shoulders; perhaps three, but no more; could reach the ceiling. It is pathetic." Then she returns to her general monologue. "Second, pieces of art should be more rare, punctuating a room rather than coating its surfaces as they do here; all should maintain the scope of the building itself, ensuring that the theme of the visitor dwarfed by the host's creations is maintained. Look at the walls here," she exclaims, sweeping her hand to encompas the room, "hardly an inch is left free of decoration, as if the designers feared the boredom of occupants with nothing to amuse them save the decor!" Finally, Adelheid returns to her seat. "These two central precepts," she says, "the monumental design and the sparse design, instill the necessary attitudes of humility and aspiration in those who experience them. Whether as a university or as a palace, this place fails to make such an impact!""I can see you've done a great deal of consideration on the subject," you say. "Although I do enjoy the style of the university myself, I must admit that I'd considered it only from the perspective of my own tastes; not the function of the design. Perhaps it would be better served by larger rooms." Then turning to your other Servant, who's remained silent through the conversation up until now, you ask, "What do you think of all this, Caster?"Caster takes a moment to consider before answering, "I can see Berserker's point, but I don't necessarily agree with it. The university doesn't necessarily need larger rooms; opulence and rich decorations will make an impact regardless of the size of the room. My complaint would be that there isn't enough color to the place. There's all this marble and plaster, and white-painted wood, with very little to punctuate it. I'd say the university needs two major changes: more gold and more greenery. By adding various flowers and other potted plants, and replacing a great deal of the white decor with solid gold, we could really give this the feeling of a properly opulent palace."
"Ridiculous," exclaims Berserker! "That runs utterly contrary to the principles of grandeur I just outlined. Were you even listening?""I was," Caster replies coldly, "and I disagree. As I said, there are other of demonstrating power than high ceilings."This is quickly going to turn into a fight if you don't step in. You spring to your feet, interposing yourself between the two Servants, and say, "Well then! This has been a fascinating discussion, but I think we've rested long enough. >>3408020The point I'm trying to convey is that the university itself is huge, but it's filled with a massive number of small, ornate chambers. The salon pictured is one of around 50-100 similar rooms, which punctuate the endless track of corridors to offer places to rest.
>>3408038Now imagine if each of those rooms was the size of the University, even the closets.
"If you've seen enough of the university's interior," you say, gesturing to the balcony doors, "why don't we head out to the gardens? Perhaps you'll find them more to your liking.""I may," replies Berserker. "Certainly gardens rarely suffer from the inadequacies of scale that afflict this university's interior.""Yes, let's go out for a breath of fresh air," Caster chimes in, "I've had quite enough of wandering around this labyrinth."Thus decided, the three of you exit to the balcony and descend into the gardens. Sure enough, Adelheid finds less to complain about here, although her spirits aren't exactly lifted. She passes through the ornamental glades and flowerbeds as a quiet observer, and shows no girlish excitement when, as you cross a bridge, three swans glide below. "Of course," she says when you question her silence, "the gardens are very lovely. They would make an excellent place for all sorts of events; garden parties, outdoor political meetings, informal speeches, and such. Without the event, though, a garden is merely a space.""You're too much of a soldier, Berserker," declares Caster. "I don't think you see any beauty in your surroundings. All your comments on the university's interior were about the function of architecture, and here you can only consider putting the gardens to use! Why don't you think about enjoying the place yourself?"Berserker is quick to rebut, energetically proclaiming that "finding pleasure in the scenery is for those who cannot act. It is only when restricted to passivity that one may stoop to inactively admiring the surroundings. I take my pleasure in action!"Before the two Servants can get any deeper into their latest argument, you're relieved to find a new subject of conversation: Truvietianne is sitting at a table on the lawn, enjoying tea and a selection of small cookies."Miss Edelfelt," you call, hurrying over to join her, "Good afternoon! How are you spending your afternoon?""Bored," is her listless reply. "Since Lancer died, it's been driven home to me just how little there is to do in an empty city. Aside from the direct combat of the War, I had been filling my hours refining the gandr, but without Lancer to use as a test subject, even that's become impossible. I'm reduced to passing the time out in this garden, eating your friend's cooking and drinking tea.""I'm sorry to hear that," you say in feigned commiseration. "Perhaps you'd enjoy some conversation? I was successfully able to make Berserker into my Servant, and thought I'd introduce the two of you.""It's the Master of Lancer," Adelheid remarks as she catches up to you. "I don't believe I've heard your name, girl."
"My my, Yumigawa-kun," Truvietianne says sarcastically, "you really have a way of attracting women, don't you? You've managed to gather every living female in the War here at this university. I must applaud you." Then she turns to Berserker, giving her a cold stare. "I, Servant Berserker, am Truvietianne Edelfelt. I don't know who you were in life, but I suggest that as a Servant you pay more attention to etiquette when addressing magi."Berserker takes a seat across from Truvietianne, returning the girl's glare with a wide smile. "Oh my," she says, her sweet voice filling with mock contrition, "I should pay more attention to etiquette? Well, I do apologize, Miss Edelfelt." Then her voice goes cold and low. "Now I have a piece of advice for you, young lady. An ordinary human like you is less than nothing in the presence of a Servant. I can't imagine why Rushorou gives you any respect, but I have no intention of playing to your ego." She pours herself some tea before continuing in a lighter tone. "One more thing. I knew the Edelfelts, along with a few other houses of magi, when I was alive. I didn't give them any of the respect or privileges they claimed to deserve, and as it turned out your ancestors had no more power over me than you do."The color drains from Truvietianne's face as Berserker makes her speech, as shock and fury war for control of her expression. Finally she rounds on you, demanding, "Is this why you went looking for me? So that your new Servant could mock me? I am astonished at you, Yumigawa-kun!""Of course not, Miss Edelfelt, I didn't expect-" you try to explain, but she's already storming off, returning furiously to the university. As she flees the scene, you can make out tears in her eyes."Fufufu~" Enjoying the abandoned tea and cookies, Berserker lets out a quiet laugh. "I do so enjoy humiliating the nobility. It never gets old." Caster, you notice, is similarly failing to repress her laughter, and sits down across from Adelheid with a broad and friendly grin. "It looks like we're on the same page here, at least," she says, popping a sugary treat into her mouth. "That girl's been getting on my nerves from our first meeting. >>3408715I legitimately want to know what you think the "bright side" is for Truvietianne. I mean, she was already kidnapped and dropped into the War without warning, like the rest of you; the only bright side to that is the possibility of getting a wish from the grail, or in her case reaching the Swirl of the Root. That potentiality has been eliminated for Truvietianne along with Lancer, and there's nothing she can do at this point but sit around and hope she doesn't get killed. On top of that, Lancer was killed because the four of you walked into a trap with a plan that Rushorou drafted. Not much of a bright side for Truvietianne, as far as I can see.
>>3408731Bright side >entered a grail war>didn't die
>>3408739I mean. Grail Wars always end up with at least like, 4 out of 7 masters dead, if not more.Fucking Lancer and Caster lose their masters twice!
>>3408739One, that result is still very much in doubt. Two, in order for that to be a mitigating factor you'd have to look at this as a normal Grail War, where Association magi enter by choice. You and the other contestants were abducted in your sleep. Just entering is already a lump of misfortune; all surviving does is keep that negative from getting worse.
>>3408731>in her case reaching the Swirl of the RootPretty sure she doesn't know about that, since the Edelfelts weren't a founding family.Kayneth knew about the wish, but only entered for the sport. Only the Tohsakas, Einzberns and Zouken know about the seven-Servant thing.
>>3408749Maybe if she attempted to treat her servant well she'd have learned something.Oh wait it was Perseus hahaha nevermind. She should at least know better than to taunt or demand respect from a servant. You have to get super lucky to summon one OK with that anyway.
>>3408757I mean, if you think it grants a wish, and the wish of 99% of old magi houses is to reach the Root, that's what she's going to do with it.
>>3408757Yeah.Well.The organiser knows about it too.Imagine if everyone knew, you could cuck the whole war by just telling the enemy servants.
>>3408766>you need seven servants to open a path to the root>but you can just use six servants to wish for a path to the root insteadfounding families confirmed brainlets by local 400000 IQ sweet-lover
>>3408769I mean, it wouldn't work. But they don't know that.
>>3408771It's the troll logic of the Nasuverse
>>3408775Yeah, I say we just get Caster to bring back the Age of Gods.Unlike "save world for me pls grail" Caster probably knows a way to actually achieve such a thing. We still need to talk to her about this.
After a few moments of hesitation, you leave Adelheid and Caster to their tea to chase after Truvietianne. "Sorry," you call back, "but I have to ensure Edelfelt doesn't do anything we'd regret."By the time you catch up to the frustrated magus, she's already made it some distance back towards the university. After crossing the river again, you find Truvietianne in a small glade, leaning against one of the trees to catch her breath. You lay a hand on her shoulder, taking hold of her to keep her from running but not forcing the girl to turn around. "Miss Edelfelt," you say, "I am truly sorry for Berserker's behavior. Believe me when I say that I had no idea she'd react that way to your expectations regarding etiquette."You hear Truvietianne sniffle one last time, before she pulls herself together enough to speak. "Fine, Yumigawa-kun," she says shakily, "I believe you. Why, though, did you bring her to me in the first place?"For a moment, you don't know how to react. You hadn't given the matter much thought, if truth be told. "I was just trying to stay true to our agreement," you reply. "I wanted to keep you aware of developments in the War, and introduce her to you.""Our agreement?" Truvietianne sounds shocked, and turns to face you in her surprise. You can see the aftermath of tears on her face, though her eyes are dry now. "What on earth do you mean?""I told you before we fought Saber," you say, taking one of her hands in yours in a gesture of sincerity, "I'd maintain total transparency with you in the conduct of the war. I don't break my word easily, Miss Edelfelt."Truvietianne reddens, stuttering her reply. "B-but surely that was just for the duration of our alliance! I- You had no reason to be my ally after Lancer was eliminated! What could I possibly do in the War with no Servant?""You can lend me your mind," you tell her. "You were the first person to explain the structure of the society of magi to me, and your insights into the War have been invaluable. I didn't just make an alliance with you because you had a Servant; I wanted you by my side, and still do, because you're an intelligent, talented magus.""You value my input as a magus, do you?" Harsh suspicion enters Truvietianne's voice, and she pulls her hand away from you. "That is what you told me this morning, just before you ignored my advice because you already had more comprehensive information from Caster. In fact, I'd find it quite challenging to name any circumstance in which I would be more qualified than your Servant to give advice on magic. Why don't you tell me the real reason you care so much about preserving our alliance, Yumigawa-kun?"
"Listen," you say, relenting, "it's true that I value your opinion. This morning was an isolated incident. Beyond that, if you must know, I'd like to get to know you better, and to spend time with you. As a person, not just an ally to improve my chances in the Grail War."Truvietianne breaks eye contact, drawing away slightly, but she does seem to have swallowed the lie. She sighs heavily, and replies in a softer tone, "Alright, Yumigawa-kun. Thank you. Right now, though, I need some time alone to consider matters." Without another word, she turns and strides back to the university. As you watch her go, you consider the two Servants you've left behind, and how you want to approach them. It would be good to have a topic of conversation already in mind, in the hopes of forestalling more argument between the duo.>[ ] Go back and discuss the matter of your mystic energy, having Caster analyze the condition of your circuits. Back then, we hadn't even gotten 5 Compassion choices yet, and it was a Duty choice to bring Truvi and Lancer along. It doesn't feel like we've really gotten anywhere with Rushorou despite the work we've put into the stat.If I'm to be completely fair, Compassion is still tied for second place (or last place if you don't count Desire since we don't see what raises that), but we've still pumped a whole 18 points into a stat that wasn't even real in the first thread and I feel like we should see something - even just something small in Rushorou's thoughts - to reflect that.>>3409015Not all of us are aiming for the Giggles Dos endgame.>>3408782Also, changing my vote from >>3408930 to >[ ] Go back and suggest you three move to the underground pool, where Kikuko is enjoying the university's attached health spa.I have a strong desire to see Kikuko and Berserker interacting as soon as possible. >>3409035Rushorou has more capacity for compassion, that's true. He doesn't care any more about Truvietianne personally.Honestly, trying to write him going after her was a bit of a struggle; I can't see why you folks want to placate her ego.
>>3409470What if she leaves the university and bonds with the damned Archer? It’s useful to control the surviving human population, and have them not betray you because you’re a completely clueless asshole.
>>3409470It's not necessarily about placating her ego. It's about not wanting the most dangerous human (bar Cid) in this city to flip out and try to contract Archer. Also if things don't end up going entirely to plan (haha manjewd) I want decent relations with at least one mage on the outside.
>>3409470In addition to what the others have said about not wanting her to go contract with Archer (which is a pretty big god damn reason mind you, the last thing we need is that fucking roach back at full strength since it would cause a whole host of problems), I see a few others. Some of us (not all, but some) want to increase Compassion, and this was a Compassion choice that didn't look like it would kill us.When we discussed possible Caster bad ends due to affection points a couple threads back, you specifically mentioned that all heroines have affection points and even posted the Tiger Dojo screen warning about low affection bad ends. Truvi is a heroine (at least, it looks like she is from a player's perspective). That means we need to be careful not to get utterly fucked over from neglecting her. (Kikuko can presumably be neglected to a degree because we already rewired her to be loyal to us no matter.)Now that we have Berserker, it's inevitable that we'll have to do damage control for all the shit she pulls when dealing with the others. This is just one such instance of many to come, since she and Caster are probably not going to get along as well as they are now for most of the time.Truvi has also been with us since pretty much the beginning. She's told us about the situation we're in, she's been our ally, she's gone along with our plans, and it's pretty much undeniable that it's our fault her servant died. Hell, the only reason we're even still in this timeline where Lancer got fucking oneshot was because we rolled too high in what was supposed to be a dead end path. It seems fair to be nice and calm her down every now and again.
>>3409480>>3409491Oh, that's right. You did have a good reason. That works with the way I wrote the scene, too.>>3409543>Wanting to increase compassionHonestly, I thought this was the whole reason for a minute. I can't factor it into the character's motivation, though. >Truvi's affection points. They're pretty low, no doubt about that.
>>3409564Ultimately, strategic reasons matter more to me than blatant personality minmaxing. Aside from wanting to be an Uber-prideful JoJo-esque antagonist, I mostly care about doing ic things and things which will lead to absolute victory.
>>3409564>low affection pointsI hardly see how it's our fault that her servant developed autism and revealed his identity and then died. She didn't have to go along with the plan. Why does she keep mistaking our concern for arrogance? Why is everyone in this war autistic?I just want to be friends (in the strictly non sexual way, Circe.)We've continuously put our allies above victory in multiple cases.
>>3409595>Why is everyone in this war autistic?Welcome to Fate!
>>3409595That professor we dabbed on might have been the only reasonable magus, but we’ll never know because we was a punk.
>>3409613I'll have you know that uhUuuuh.Bazze-Oh.Waver...?Wasn't autistic.Kinda.Ok a little.
>>3409595She's not mistaking your concern for arrogance, I'm not sure what that's about.Blaming the person who came up with a plan that fucked you over when it was your choice to follow it is quite common. If that were autistic, 90% of humanity would be.Honestly, revealing his identity didn't play into the death of Perseus. He's one of those "no easily exploitable weak point" heroes.
>>3409628To be fair there aren't many heroes who even if you knew their true identities would give you much of a hint towards weaknesses. There are a few sure, but not everyone is Cu, Siegfried or Achilles. The real weakness comes from revealing your name so everyone knows what your NP is.Perseus is very well known and his NPs are pretty obvious.
>>3409624Now,Shinji wasn't autistic, just a pisshead.
>>3409632>The real weakness comes from revealing your name so everyone knows what your NP is.Normally this is true, but Sweets doesn't show us NPs just because we found out the Servant's true name.
>>3409657Rushorou doesn't know shit about Heroic Spirits though. A magus prepared for war would be able to make educated guesses.
>>3409657I look at it as causally reverse. If you see an NP, you can figure out the True Name easily. On the other hand, any given Servant could have a variety of different NPs from their legends, so knowing the True Name doesn't tell you what their NP is.This was done in FSN a few times. I think you find out the True Names of Caster and Berserker both before you learn about their NPs.
>>3408930>Now I'm really curious. What do you feel Kikuko has over Truvi? There are two ways to approach this question. On the one hand, Rushorou's views in character. On the other, my views as the author. Let's start off with the protagonist. Now, Rushorou is, as has been demonstrated, an extremely prideful person. Pride is still 10 points above the next-highest train in terms of his motivations. For the most part, he's surrounded himself with people who play into that. Matsuda follows Rushorou because he feels that he owes him his life. Ogawara is a doormat, and always has been. Caster and Berserker are magically bound Servants. Even Kikuko, who can act impetuous, has had loyalty planted deep within her mind. Then there's Truvietianne. She views Rushorou as a social inferior. A commoner and a non-magus, far below her own station as the heiress of a line of hereditary nobility. This attitude has been clear from the beginning, and even if it's changed partially due to his proven merit and the natural tsundere arc, the best she's ever likely to get is treating him as an equal. So, it's clear that there's no reason for Rushorou to like her personally. She was at least useful in the beginning, but now her Servant is gone; it's not like she's been contributing excellent strategic advice. The only reason for him to want her around is, as others have said, to keep her from becoming Archer's new Master. Hence "she does seem to have swallowed the lie." Nothing you said to placate her was true. Then there's me, the author. Why do I like Kikuko better than Truvietianne? This is a bit more difficult to explain, since I started this with the intention of making them both main heroines. Also, I tend to like tsundere characters and ojou-sama characters, so I should like Truvietianne. In the end, though, circumstances have conspired against her. Tsundere characters work best when they have some kind of power over the protagonist, such as Rin's superior magecraft (and general competence) in FSN. It gives them something to back up their attitude. Truvietianne has been reduced to powerlessness, though, and just winds up seeming absurd.Kikuko, on the other hand, I have developed greater fondness for as I write her. For one thing, she has tremendous mental fortitude. She had the absolute worst experience in the qualifying round of anyone, and still came out of it sane and functional despite starting off as a normal JK. Even after being captured, brainwashed to become a slave, and losing her Servant, she still manages to preserve her personality and sanity with almost no alteration. Compare to Truvietianne, who used magic to power through the qualifying round and falls into depression and emotional instability as soon as her Servant dies. She's been guaranteed success her whole life by her family, and can't deal with failure. In terms of general demeanor, also, I just find Kikuko far more likable than Truvietianne.
>>3409679To be fair had Shirou summoned Caster (or just found Medea I guess) it would've been particularly difficult for Rin's superior magecraft or general competence over Shirou to have any effect. It's just a terrible scenario for Truvi to be in.
By the way, we wouldn't like to Matsuda or Ogawara, right?
>>3409775We absolutely would. The only “people” who require true transparency our the servants.
>>3409849Well, and the Gods if we go down that route. Everyone else can be deceived by our incredible keikaku.Of just sort of lucking our way through things, killing people and cheating with mind control when things don't go our way.We really are Lelouch.
I have an idea.
>>3409679I can definitely see Rushorou preferring Kikuko to Truvi since Kikuko is pretty good at ingratiating herself and Truvi has more or less outlived her usefulness. It's also true that Truvi's emotional instability is a pain and I think her tendency to cry, scream and stomp at every little thing is beyond irritating. When it comes to Kikuko, my opinion as a player is negative for the very same reason that yours is positive. Based on what you wrote here, it sounds like you intended Kikuko's experience in the Third City and the war as a whole to be horrible for her. But the way you've portrayed her thus far indicates otherwise. Based on what you wrote, Kikuko practically breezed through the Third City and summoned her servant by being cowardly and manipulative without doing much herself except run. It didn't really seem like she regretted anything when we went memory diving in thread 5. She also laughed her ass off when Rider killed us while she sat there and sipped tea. She does nothing for herself save watch those protecting her die and it doesn't bother her one bit. Even being brainwashed isn't that big of a deal to her so long as she survives. Her personality and sanity are preserved because she's been comfortable with all of this from the start. It doesn't speak to her mental strength because that strength has yet to be tested.Kikuko's demeanor is, in my opinion, one of her worst parts because it's just a facade worn to make people like her. In reality, she doesn't care about anyone else and wants nothing more than to have everyone shower her with love while she does whatever she pleases with impunity.Side note; I like your comment about what makes tsunderes work. I think it hits the nail on the head.
>>3409955Can we wait until Circe and Adolf are on good terms before doing that?
>>3410014They've had a conversation without trying to murder each other. That puts them on about the same level as Arc and Ciel so I say lets go!
>>3410023That's cool, now what about when they don't have a mutual scapegoat?
>>3410056I don't know.Instead, enjoy this nightmare inducing picture.
>>3410056We could just rewire Kikuko to enjoy being scapegoated.
>>3410007I feel that being powerless in the face of walking skeletons, ghostly warriors, and a burning city, and having to constantly rely on others to protect you, while repeatedly watching them die, would be a pretty horrible experience. Similarly, I'd say that being able to take something like brainwashing in stride is indicative of mental fortitude. All in all, though, it comes down to personal taste. If I like Kikuko more than you folks do, that's fine.
>>3410208I like Kikuko, QM.
>>3410208>repeatedly watching them dieAh, there’s the rub. You see, my (and I think many other anons’) perception of that is that she is manipulating them to die for her. That powerlessness doesn’t really come across when you see it that way. As for the brainwashing, I suppose that is representative of some measure of mental durability.
We should capitalise on Circe's ability to create illusions just so we can pull off an Aizen.
>>3410208I don't doubt that it would be terrible. I also don't mind that we disagree on our opinions of Kikuko. At this stage, it seems like there was something you were trying to convey about Kikuko's character and what she went through that I (and likely many of us) didn't get, and I'd like to try to critique your presentation of Kikuko to point out where that communication failed.Like >>3410222 says, our perception is that she manipulated people and didn't have a problem with seeing them die. There were two major factors in that perception.First and foremost was how she reacted to our death by Rider not long before the memory dive. It's easy to understand why we would think someone who laughs at our death probably wouldn't be restricted to laughing at our death alone.Second was the memory dive post itself. I'm going to link it here for easy access.http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/qstarchive/3374576/#p3377939The first paragraph about her school life sets her up as a selfish, sadistic character, content to remain safe in the background while she sends her pieces out to do her dirty work and take the fall. This reinforces the idea we got from her laughter that she enjoys watching people suffer so long as she remains safe. Then comes the wording at the start of the second paragraph.>Her time in the Third City was a continuous series of flight, manipulation, and the sacrifice of others to protect herself. One after another, she found other survivors, convinced them to protect her, and saw them die. It's worded as though her intent is to turn people into shields rather than honestly seek their aid.The final nail in the coffin is that there is nothing overt in the memory dive to suggest that the experience of the Third City was emotionally trying for her. While it might seem like common sense that the situation would be awful for anyone, the readers have been given strong evidence very recently that Kikuko is sadistic and does not mind others coming to harm if it means her own safety. With all this put together, it doesn't seem at all from a reader's perspective like Kikuko felt powerless and frightened. From what I've garnered based on your recent posts (and please correct me if I'm wrong, I'd really like to know what you meant to get across), you intended Kikuko to be a self-important but scared highschool girl trying to power through a life-threatening situation in the only way she knows how. Instead, she appears as though she's completely in her element in Cid's crazy artificial world and Holy Grail War, calmly assembling others to turn them into her personal, expendable shields.I'd like to restate that I'm not trying to argue about whether or not Kikuko is "worth liking." Since it appears that there's been a miscommunication between author and reader, this is my attempt to give you some constructive criticism and show how your readers got the wrong idea. I hope it's helpful
>>3410312I'm just going to take Kikuko's memories being portrayed in such a fiendish way to us as Caster fucking around.
Does anyone else have that terrible feeling that we are very much on the "evil" route?also I like Kikuko damn it so fuck it >>3408782switching >>3408785 to >[ ] Go back and suggest you three move to the underground pool, where Kikuko is enjoying the university's attached health spa.My ID changed tho
>>3410404Not gonna lie, if Kikuko isn't intended to be the monster we've been led to believe then I'm going to feel pretty bad about brainwashing her. She might even move up my best girl rankings a bit.
>>3410482She kept her personality so it's fine.If all goes to plan we can even see if Caster can reverse it.Though if all goes to my plan we'd be Emperor, and depending how that pans out our allies might just be dunked back into the apocalypse. Unless we somehow manage to convince the Gods to empower them too. Then they can be knights or something and Ogawara can finally become something out of his Japanese Animes.
>>3410496I'm still against your plan and restarting the Age of Gods, but thankfully we don't need anyone but Circe to empower our crew. Caster specializes in body-altering foods and stated as much quite early on. All we need to do is have her whip up some special meals for our underlings and we're golden.
>>3410482Oh boy, this is challenging. You're definitely right in that I haven't portrayed Kikuko that well. Also, Anon has been astute in noticing that Caster was the one in control of what you saw in Kikuko's memories. She's not entirely reliable. So, my conception of Kikuko is a girl who is (or at least was) selfish, narcissistic, and sadistic, but within the bounds of normalcy. Going into the Grail War, she'd never seen anyone die, or witnessed much in the way of violence. She was a cruel bully, but what high-schoolers do is hardly extreme. So, take that girl and throw her into this situation where she's powerless, and violence is the only way to change the situation. She found protectors, manipulating them into taking care of her, and was repeatedly driven into situations where only one of them could survive. Naturally, she chose herself. Now, watching people die and being in the presence of extreme violence is still traumatic, even for a sadist. The consciousness that her choices were either to die or to rely on others weighed on her mind constantly. Basically, Kikuko experienced a growth process where she had to either break down or become even more self-centered and cut off from other people. The first person she met in the Third City, she may have seen as a potential friend or partner. By the tenth person, she had to see them as a pawn.In the Dead End where Keiseki kills you, that's Kikuko at the end of that character arc. She's gone through the trauma of the Third City and finally gotten to a point where she can watch someone die and even laugh. Of course, for the person being killed, that's awful; I wasn't worried about making you folks hate her at that point, because I fully expected Rushorou to kill the both of them after coming back from the Dead End. From my perspective, though, it demonstrates the growth of her character and her ability to go through trauma without breaking. I mean, "laughing in the face of death" is a phrase representing heroism for a reason, right? By the time she's gotten to the Eighth City, she's gone through the terror of the Grail War and finally managed to normalize things. This is what I mean when I talk about her mental fortitude being miles above that of Truvietianne. That girl shows up and deals with things the way she always has; magic. She straightforwardly applies the principles of the Mages' Association that she's been taught, and when things fall through she breaks down, as you've seen.As for her being "completely in her element," I tried to make it clear that that wasn't the case by the way Archer took control of her, but obviously this didn't quite come across. All in all, it seems like where I could have conveyed her character more positively was the memory viewing, going into more detail about her time in the Third City. Rather than focusing on "the summary that Caster would show Rushorou" it may have been better to just present Kikuko's experiences more directly.
>>3410404>Very much on the “evil” routeI’d certainly say Rushorou’s alignment at this point is lawful evil rather than LN, but it’s a soft sort of evil- the evil of the overly enthusiastic prince rather than that of, well, Hitler-chan. He’s no mass-murderer, isn’t scheming the end of humanity or mass genocide (regardless of what some anons particularly want), and doesn’t even particularly enjoy or covet harming others. So not Kirei, and whether or not our boy is worse than Shinji is up to debate desu.
>>3410542That won't make them all that much stronger though. Also if we do restart the Age of Gods and Divine Spirits become Gods again I'm pretty fucking certain Circe is getting her Godhood back.Because "Turning random nymph into monster" is outweighed by "helped do something that every other attempt by every god failed to accomplish".Also body altering food wouldn't make them that much more powerful, not permanently at least, I think.with blessings, items and weapons from actual gods we could form our own Knights of the Round Table Rip-off.Should we let Truvi join?If she'll only ever see us as an equal at best maybe not...
>>3410553Hey heyRestarting the Age of Gods isn't the end of humanity nor is it Genocide. It's a sort of minor apocalypse sure.NOWHERE CLOSE to being as bad as ORT waking up and ruining everything though, which the continued uncontrolled growth of humanity will eventually cause. If Gaia sees proper space travel (colony ships, etc.) it's highly likely it will spaz out and summon the other Types.
>>3410566Climate Change in the Nasuverse is the planet having enough of humanity's shit and summoning aliens to fucking kill everyone and everything on the planet. It's not ideal.
>>3410559I don't want to restart the Age of Gods. We've (or at least, some two anons and I, though I bet you're probably one of them) had this discussion before last thread, and I don't think it's wise to have it again since my thoughts on the matter haven't changed and, clearly, neither have yours.
>>3410575Apocalypse is coming either way. This is damage control and will prevent it for a few thousand years more perhaps.Gaia really fucking hates the idea of humanity living on and it will not hesitate to murderfuck humanity, especially considering that the population is still growing and as such more of nature gets fucked by humanity.Hell eventually Humanity are going to kill the planet with pollution and warfare as in Notes. and that leads to all kinds of shitHumanity fucking suck in this setting.Gaia's gonna freak.Sacrifices need to be made to save the planet.
As repetitive as it can get at times, the activity in the quest outside of updates is awesome. I really adore the transparency and activness of Sweets, and the playerbase has (in general) been good sports about things. 888/1000, would kick Keiseki’s head off again.
>>3410585All I'm saying is that for as evil as it sounds, humanity have proven to suck ass time and time again and eventually will doom both themselves and the planet unless somebody intervenes to stop them.Well Humanity caaan technically survive by using technology to become something other than human but that's why Gaia is so pissed off with them because they are responsible for killing it and they also get to avoid the consequences of their own actions. But IC we don't know this and we still haven't even spoken with Caster about the Age of Gods.>>3410612>(in general)?
>>3410550Thanks for the explanation. I think I understand what you were going for much better now.Though I feel like I've got to say that kind of interpretation of "laughing in the face of death" sounds like a rationalization of the phrase from post-Third City Kikuko's broken mind more than any reasonable interpretation of the phrase. I'm not sure if that's what you were going for, but if it was, it was pretty good.>>3410585>>3410637Calm down, Kiritsugu. That argument (almost) completely fails to address my concerns about restarting the Age of Gods as a wish. I'll try my best to summarize them again:It's a metagame wish that Rushorou couldn't reasonably make in character. (You did address this in the second post but there's still no reason for Rushorou to actually care about the Age of Gods. His element and origin are only a thing because it ended, remember.)It's a wish that Rushorou wouldn't want to make in character even if he knew how because it would be an intentional sacrifice of his superiority for subservience to obviously imperfect beings.I can only really see it a trying to twist the lore of the world as much as possible for no real reason other than the fact that it can be done, and I'm just not on board with that.To respond to your post directly, Rushorou isn't human anymore so Gaia will ignore him if humanity is its target. And in case FZ and FSN didn't make it clear, the utilitarian plan of sacrificing the few for the sake of the many is a complete meme of a philosophy that won't really save anyone when push comes to shove. There's also no reason to believe that we'll stop another Age of Man from occurring eventually. You could well be proposing that we just turn Nasuverse Earth into Dark Souls. Do you want to live in the Dark Souls world? I sure don't.>(in general)Fear of a second Happening, maybe?>>3410612Agreed. Sweets has been very open with us, and there's been some pretty good discussion among the players about how to handle things like the damn wish we need to make.
>>3410661You don't seem to get that Dark Souls land is actually preferable to HellScape3000 where the atmosphere itself is toxic which is what the Age of Humanity leads to.A massive war between Enhanced Humans and Human-Animal Mutant things on an already fucked planet and THEN Types show up to help kill everyone even more. Also our not technically being Human will not matter one single bit to Gaia or anyone else at that time. It's not even Kiritsugu logic of "Kill one to save many" it's "Kill some to save everyone"Seriously. That's besides the point though.I can see a way for it to possibly become a reasonable wish IC depending on how Caster talks about it.The Root is too dangerous to go for for somebody with 0 knowledge on anything magic related.I mean another Age of Man is a possibility sure, but only if some cataclysmic event occurs like Velber coming along. Also I don't think Rushorou has reached the "EVEN GODS ARE INFERIOR TO ME!" point of pride juuust yet.I'm not trying to fuck up the lore of the world anyway, otherwise I'd be advocating time travel or some shit, I just see it as a good way to fulfill Rushorou's ambition of rulership considering that even if he wishes for power he's still got a hell of a long path to the top and will probably get ganked by somebody with a broken conceptual weapon.
>>3410687And if we do become immortal we will have to go through that bullshit and we will probably get killed.
I'd just like to point out that the vote for what to do is tied right now between taking Adelheid to meet Kikuko and having a magic circuit checkup in the garden.
>>3410713Oh, then let's get checked up. I'm >>3408391, btw.
>>3410687You've already said that restarting the AoG would be like an apocalypse. Starting an apocalypse to prevent an apocalypse seems counter-intuitive. World-ending events aren't really the kind of fire that can be fought with fire.>It's not even Kiritsugu logic of "Kill one to save many" it's "Kill some to save everyone"Are you kidding? That's Kiritsugu logic in its purest form. "Everyone" is the largest possible "many" that can be "saved" by killing "some." In fact it's logic that's so completely Kiritsugu it's what the Grail offers him at the end of Fate/Zero. I wouldn't call it "beside the point" since you're offering it as a reason to restart the AoG.If Rushorou knows anything about mythology, than he knows that gods are basically just people cranked up to 11 in terms of good and bad traits. They're very powerful, very flawed, total assholes and terrible bosses. You also can't rule if you're being ruled. Even worse if you're ruled by assholes. Rushorou wants to be a ruler, but that doesn't mean he wants to rule the whole damn world. He could probably settle for a country like most reasonable people do.
>>3410754Ok let's put it this way>restart age of gods>chaos occurs across the planet and people die, at the end of the day Gods are back to prevent shit from going off the rails again, they can be a bit cunty but are generally okOr>let humanity continue as is>war and pollution kills the very planet, in order to survive, humanity is forced to enhance themselves just to do simple shit like breathe, they also genemod things which eventually turn against them and wipe out most of humanity. AND THEN GAIA SAYS FUCK YOU and summons the space kaiju to end all life.1 moderate apocalypse to avert two fuckhueg apocalypses.I mean, on the bright side if we bring the gods back the afterlife will also properly return instead of just being straight reincarnation. Also, if we want immortality then humanity ruining everything will eventually become a problem.
>>3410807Oh right and don't forget Primate Murder too, which will probably end humanity before it even gets to that point.

>>3411111Also, quints confirm, Laika is a Counter Guardian and Challenger was Archetype: Alaya
>>3411220Alaya does the counter guardians.
>>3411398Yeah, and having an actual TYPE couldn't be allowed because humanity relies on strength through cooperation. While other species rely on individual strength, humans cooperate to create a strong collective -- which is why Alaya has Counter Guardians and summons heroes from the Throne instead of creating a small number of incredibly powerful individuals akin to Primate Murder and Arceuid.Alaya sent Laika to sabotage the O-rings, preventing Challenger from completing its tenth launch and cementing itself in human consciousness as a TYPE. The loss of seven humans was regrettable, but necessary to preserve the freedom of Humanity.
New update shortly. Sorry for nothing previously today; work kept me quite busy.On the portrait thing, I've decided to at least give you an approximation since I can't find a good piece of art. Picture a cross between these two and that's Adelheid, more or less.
As you walk back out of the grove and towards Adelheid and Caster, you decide to stop any more arguments between them by bringing up a more immediately important subject. Even now, you feel the icy chill that traces the lines of your magic circuits, reminding you that your current state is a violation of the few rules that govern this War. You hurry your steps.Returning to the table vacated by Truvietianne, you discover the silver platter empty of pastries, and your two Servants back at their argument over the supremacy of form or function. "You say," announces Caster, "that someone can only enjoy the beauty of their surroundings when they're forced into inaction. Isn't that right?"Berserker gives a nod. "Certainly; a man with freedom of action should instead consider the uses of his surroundings.""In that case," Caster goes on, grinning at her anticipated victory, "that's exactly how you are right now! You wanted to go after Archer or Rider, but you have to sit here and wait instead. You're violating your own principles by refusing to admire the garden.""This is absurd." Berserker sighs and, looking around for something to distract from the topic, catches sight of you. "Ah, Rushorou," she calls, "have you satisfied yourself that her highness isn't going to desert you?"You draw up a chair before answering. "Yes. Thank you for that extra responsibility, Berserker," you quip, "it was just what I needed today." Then you turn to your other Servant. "Alright, Caster," you say, "we've spent enough time relaxing for now; I can feel the energy drain from maintaining the both of you at once, and it's not pleasant. I'd like you to see how we can mitigate this situation.""Oh my," Caster says, surprised, "I'm so sorry, Master. Since you decided that we should show Miss Berserker around, I was assuming you were in no distress regarding energy. Please stand up." As you do so, Caster comes around the table to stand in front of you, laying a fingertip on your forehead. You feel her energy flowing into you; far less of it than she had used to force open your magic circuits, just tracing them now. For a few moments she stares at you, shifting to look from different angles as she takes in some set of information that seems to be revealing itself to her. Then she breaks contact and shifts to your right hand, taking it between hers."We can dismiss my greatest concern," she says as she does so. "It's not impossible for you to sustain two Servants with your energy supply. That is, it's theoretically doable. There's some issue with the implementation, though. Something in the way the Command Spells transfer energy..." As she trails off, the enchantress scrutinizes the back of your hand very closely; whatever she's doing in order to analyze it, the command spells have gone from red to a pale blue, and a faint tracery of white lines make up an infinitesimally ornate pattern within the larger image.
After several minutes, Caster lets your hand go, and returns to her seat to explain. Noticing that you're still standing, she hastily remarks, "ah, you can sit, Master. I'm finished." You do so, and she launches into her explanation of your mystic energy problems. "To put it simply," she begins, "the issue is one of access. The command spell is an actualized mystery, a mystic code embedded into your system of magic circuits that forms the link between a Master and Servant. Apparently the designer assumed that there would only ever be one Servant per Master, though, because one set of command spells is tied to the entire system of circuits." She pronounces this last statement with an air of finality, expecting to see the understanding on your face. You and Adelheid give her a blank look. "Sorry, Caster," you say, "I don't quite follow.""I don't understand what you're driving at either, Miss Caster," Adelheid concurs, "the command spells access the system of energy, what's the problem?"Caster sighs. "One set of command spells access the entire system," she says. "The problem is, you have two sets of command spells, Master. One set with three spells for me, and one set with one spell for Miss Berserker. Each set of spells is its own mystic code, and each one expects to be the only thing drawing on the network of magic circuits. If they only drew energy off of one point on the network, it would be simple enough to have them access separately, but since each set of command spells is tapping into the entire system, you're feeling the effects of the conflict between them.""How, then, is it possible for me to support two Servants?" you ask. Nothing about her explanation makes this sound like an issue with a simple solution."Don't worry," Caster says with a smile, "I know it sounds impossible to fix, but I've seen through the system of the command spells. Modern magecraft is terribly simple you know; deconstructing a technique like this is child's play!" You silently wait for her to continue. "A-hem. Anyway," she goes on, dismayed at the lack of awe from you or Adelheid, "with a short operation, I can connect the two command spells so that they both draw off of your magic circuits in concert. Then all you need to do is regulate the flow of energy. This is actually rather well-timed, since the flow and transference of power was the first magical technique I wanted to tutor you in."
"And that would solve the issue?" you ask. "There's no downside to your alterations to the command spells?"Caster replies hesitantly, "there is one little issue, but it's really quite minor. It's just that, due to the way the command spells are structured, you'd need to focus your energy on one of us at a time. The connection would channel your mystic energy in order to ensure there's enough for us to both function properly, with one Servant being given just enough power to remain active and the other being fully empowered. Actively managing that proportion of energy, and who receives which portion, is what I mean by regulating the flow of energy.""I see," you say, mulling the idea over. "What about a temporary surge? Could I empower both of you just for the duration of a fight?""With practice, yes," Caster answers. "The greater your ability is with transference magic, the more finely you'll be able to control the energy that flows through the command spells. It'll take plenty of training, though," she warns. The idea of being free from your current drained state is certainly tempting. Besides the obvious discomfort, you're not sure how well you can fight in this state. At the same time, though, you don't know how much the Servant receiving less energy will be weakened by the setup. Is it worth it, or would it be wiser to attempt to finish the war quickly and sort out a long-term solution after the enemies have been dealt with?>[ ] Use Caster's command spell modification. (Self-Preservation)>[ ] Fight the war as-is, tolerating the drain. (Duty)>[ ] A different response (Write in)

>>3411923He's just new to magic.
>>3411680>[ ] Fight the war as-is, tolerating the drain. (Duty)>>3411923The solution provided *is* simple enough for Caster to implement, the issue is Rushorou’s lack of practice in the magicks. But under-powering either servant in our fights, or either of our fights coming to us while we’re training this energy business, would be Rushorou’s death knell. Let’s just press the advantage and win this war now.
>>3411976This is clearly Caster asking to teach us more magecraft though. and we don't want to collapse mid battle if somebody uses a NP.
>>3411983AND depriving Berserker of mana will be a fairly effective means of control, should we need it.
>>3411680>[ ] Ask if it would be possible to set up some sort of on/off "switch" for each set of command spells like with the activation of Magic Circuits. Fine tuning of the energy flow probably wouldn't be possible, but it would hopefully allow for the switching of each servant from maximum to minimum power with less training and would help with the drain outside of a fight. This plan is probably just wishful thinking on my part, so if it's not possible, then>[ ] Use Caster's command spell modification. (Self-Preservation)I'd really prefer to not get pounced by Archer or Rider during training, but once it comes time to fight Cid and Assassin we don't want to be totally drained.
>>3411923Well, what she basically told you at that point was "two command spells don't work together because of a fundamental incompatibility." Rushorou has no reason to expect that Caster can rewire the command spells, given that up until this point she's made clear that her own magic is fundamentally different from modern magic, and there really isn't any other solution.
>>3413006>she's made clear that her own magic is fundamentally different from modern magicMakes me think that we should've asked Truvi for help, under Circe's supervision.
>>3413180No, Caster is the only person who could solve this issue. The command spells were created by the Makiri, and their expertise is very specialized; without the abilities of a witch from the age of gods, you'd have no chance of successfully modifying the system. My point was just that Rushorou had real reason to expect Caster to be able to resolve the issue until she finished her explanation. Thinking "this technical problem of magic probably doesn't have a simple answer" doesn't make you an idiot.
>>3413259Yeah, it's not that Caster doesn't understand modern magecraft, it's just that it is usually plebian retard tier compared to the stuff she can do.Medea, despite being the weakest servant in the fifth war is easily able to cheat the system because of this.
Hey Sweets do any of these work for Adelheid?
>>3413553I just realised these kinda look somewhat like Ascensions.
>>3413974What would she say/do at max Bond?

>>3414013Offer to kill herself alongside us in the Fuhrerbunker

>>3414067>”I’ll have to show you my winter estate in South America sometime Master, I spent many years of my mortal life there”
>>3414013The real question is what servants they would have a special line forDavid is quite an obvious one.
>>3413553Interesting. I like the shift from green to black, but I think it would work better with the silver accents from the original.Honestly what I like most about the right-hand image is her expression. This girl just looks too cheerful to be Adelheid, most of the time. Obviously that's far more difficult to fix than uniform color, though.Side note, why do JP artists love black and gold so much in military uniforms? Like 90% of the gunpuku tag on pixiv is either black with gold accents or red with black accents.
After giving the matter your consideration, you decide to move forward with Caster's plan. The negative aspect, of having one Servant less empowered than the other, is outweighed by the necessity of removing the strain on your magic circuits; not only are the present effects thoroughly unpleasant, based on Caster's diagnosis of a struggle for control of your system, there could be serious danger in keeping the present state of affairs over a long term."Thank you, Caster," you say, "I'm glad you were able to invent such an effective solution in so short a time. I do have one more question, though.""Of course," Caster replies, "go ahead.""I'm concerned that we may face an attack from Rider or Archer before I'm fully proficient in transference magic. Would it be possible for you to alter the command spells in such a way as to allow me to immediately control their state similarly to my magic circuits? That is to say, using a simple mental trigger to shift between prioritizing one or the other of you two?""Hmmm," Caster ponders the subject for a moment before answering. "It's not quite that simple, no. The command spells aren't exactly part of you, so controlling them directly is more difficult than it is with magic circuits. Still, that kind of basic shift is the first thing I'll be teaching you how to perform when it comes to controlling your od, so you don't have too much to worry about. Now, Master, are you ready for me to begin?""Er, yes," you reflexively reply, startled. "You can alter the command spells right here and now, Caster?""Of course!" Caster's voice is bright and energetic as she snaps her fingers, drawing a long golden needle from the air. "Just hold still, with your hand on the table like that..." "Gyah!"You let out an involuntary shout of pain as she plunges it into the center of the command spell! A feeling like an electric current shoots through your body. For a few moments you're in agonizing pain, and then it fades, taking with it the icy chill and bodily fatigue you've had since contracting with Adelheid. At the same time, you hear the girl gasp. "You claim this is enough to sustain me?" she shouts angrily, glaring up at Caster, "It's as if I'll begin fading at any moment!"The enchantress only smiles, placidly replying, "I believe I made it clear that only one of us would be receiving enough energy to fight. You have enough energy to sustain your manifestation, and until Master learns finer control of his energy output, you'll have to be satisfied with that. I'm sure you'd be more comfortable if you faded into your spirit form. Fufufu~"
>>3414210God damn it Caster.
Adelheid struggles visibly to compose herself, as acting on her anger would only put further demands on her diminished energy supply. As you watch the small girl, seeing the indignant rage in her eyes, you can't help but feel a pang of guilt. Over the course of this afternoon you've offered and then retracted both of the prizes that tempted her to join you. First you refused to attack Archer and Rider, despite making your claim to her service on the basis of a more active policy in the war. Now it seems you're depriving her of energy, when the quality of your Od was the first positive aspect of the contract between the two of you that Adelheid observed. "Caster," you say, your voice coming out harsher than you'd expected, "begin teaching me how to control the command spells' energy output immediately. I won't have this going on any longer than absolutely necessary.""Of course, Master," the enchantress replies, her smug tone implying there's nothing she'd rather do than drag out Adelheid's weakness. "Let's begin with a review. Last time, you learned how to activate your magic circuits, and to feel the energy of the lesser source, Od, within you even when they're inactive. Generally speaking, there are any number of elementary magics we could begin with from that point, but I feel that applying the attribute of Transference to your energy is the best way to build proficiency and control. Now, to begin, focus inward and make certain you're conscious of the state of your circuits and your Od."You do so, feeling the network of passive circuits; the pool of energy within you that's currently unused, and the gradual increase of that energy by the circuits' passive generation; the outflow of energy, one stream of it flowing to Caster, and the other to Berserker. "I have it," you tell Caster. "Go on.""Good," she says, the golden needle in one hand tapping against the fingers of the other like a teacher's baton. "Cultivating a constant consciousness of your energy is one of the essential skills you should be developing as a magus. In the future, you should always feel it and know its state, just like your physical limbs; but I digress. Let's move on to the application of transference. Now, if you were aligned to one of the four simple material elements, I'd have you practice transferring some of your energy into a conductive item of that element. Given your particular alignments, however, I think working purely with the od will yield greater effects. Fortunately for you, we have the practical example of a flow of pure etheric energy from one spiritual body to another. What I want you to do is visualize the flow of energy from you to me, and recontextualize your perception of it. Right now it's something occurring passively, without your volition. Make it a volitional act."
>>3414165>Obviously that's far more difficult to fix than uniform color, though. Not as difficult as you might think, you just need the right tools for the job
"I'm not sure I follow," you say. "Isn't there some sort of incantation or ritual necessary to exert control over mystic energy? You use the divine language, and when I've seen Edelfelt use her magic it's with the help of the inscription on her forearm.""No, no," says Caster, wagging a disapproving finger. "I only use incantations to command Mana, the energy outside of myself. You should be able to control your Od as easily as one of your limbs. It's an indication of the weakness of modern magi that they've turned to incantations and crests even for the use of their own internal energy. Just follow my instructions, Master, and you'll surpass the likes of Truvietianne Edelfelt in no time at all!""Alright," you say, and close your eyes to better focus on the sensation of your Od. For some time, you grapple with the problem, first working to concentrate sufficiently, and then to try and take control of the stream of energy. It seems, at first, quite impossible. Like trying to compel your ear to bend; you may be able to clearly feel the action when compelled by an outside force, but sensation doesn't entail control. Then it suddenly clicks. You've been focusing on the stream of energy, trying to control the Od itself, but it's the circuits that are the appendage; mystic energy is merely what flows through them. Accordingly, you shift your focus to the point at which the energy leaves you, the contact with your network of magic circuits, and find that you can, indeed, effect some small change in the course of the energy through manipulation of the circuits. As you do so, you faintly hear Caster's voice, but you're too deep in concentration to pay it any mind. From here on, it's only a matter of force and practice until you reach your goal. With repeated efforts to shift the stream of energy, you increase your control over it by degrees, until at last, with a herculean shove you manage to reverse the two streams of energy, directing the greater supply to Berserker and the lesser to Caster. You finally come out of it, opening your eyes to discover, shockingly, that the sun has begun to dip. You've been focusing on Transference for several hours, you suddenly realize. It has, paid off, though. You've been able to make a significant step forward. By controlling your Od and using it to cause a change in the outside world, you've succeeded in what could be called your first spell."I see you've come back to us," says Caster. "Very well done! I hadn't expected you to gain that much control over your energy in our first lesson, I must admit.""Oh yes," Adelheid concurs, "excellent work, Rushorou. Such a pitiful supply of energy was simply intolerable." The girl stands up and stretches, satisfaction and relief painting her features.
>>3414165How about now?
"On that subject," Caster says, "please reverse the change, Master. Although shifting your energy to her was the most convenient way for you to practice transference, it's hardly prudent to keep pouring the majority of your energy into Berserker when we aren't in battle.">[ ] Caster has a point. In terms of your daily life, the enchantress does a great deal with the energy with which you supply her. You decide to reverse the change, and have Adelheid bear with it until you can learn to exert finer control of the energy proportion. (Self-Preservation)>[ ] Even if returning the energy to Caster would be more prudent, it's obvious that Adelheid simply requires more energy to function than Caster does, and you can't bring yourself to put her back into the painful state of mystic energy deprivation. There was a reason why you sat there practicing until you could shift the energy flow, and you won't have Caster questioning that decision. Being a skilled magus herself, she should be able to find some alternative energy source to supplement her spells. (Pride/Compassion)
>>3414276Can we take some sort of muddle ground? If not, then:>[ ] Caster has a point. In terms of your daily life, the enchantress does a great deal with the energy with which you supply her. >>3414165Out of curiosity, was there any particular issue with the image I posted at the beginning of the thread >>3400906 ? It seems to have been a pretty good guess, but where was I off? The style of the uniform, perhaps?>>3414276Oh boy... this is gonna be a tough decision. I've gotta think about this for a little. Not gonna lie, when Caster fucked over Berserker at the beginning I was considering threatening her by providing energy to Adelheid by any means necessary until we could give it to her the regular way.
>>3414290You lack imagination. There are some very obvious alternative source of energy besides a master's magic energy stream to the servant. Alternative sources that Circe would likely love to experience.
>>3414309I don't lack the imagination nor the knowledge of Tantric Rituals, it's just picking Adelheid over Circe here is gonna go down less than well at one point. Why don't we suggest a schedule of sorts?Switch the energy transfer multiple times a day at set intervals so as to help us gain more experience in the control of it.
>>3414299Honestly the uniform in that image is the closest to what I was picturing. The problem is that A. She's too developed. You can see her figure from the uniform. B. She's a pre-existing character from something else. I know I've used edits for Rushorou, but I'm trying to stick to original drawings not tied to an existing franchise for portraits as much as possible. I think Keiseki and Rushorou are the only ones I've directly lifted portraits for.
>>3414276>[ ] Even if returning the energy to Caster would be more prudent, it's obvious that Adelheid simply requires more energy to function than Caster does, and you can't bring yourself to put her back into the painful state of mystic energy deprivation. Are...Are those our only two options, Sweets?
>>3414330Can we set up a schedule like the other anon suggested or would that have to be decided later?
>>3414356>>3414359Feel free to do a write-in response; sorry I forgot to include it here, but as a general policy I take them.
>>3414276>[x] Suggest creating a schedule where the energy flow will be redirected to each of them at set intervals throughout the day as energy transferral practice.
>>3414380
>>3414276Let's try out a schedule first.
Okay, look, just to be clear, the choice is what you want to do right now. You can make a schedule if you want, but you still have to decide what you're doing in the immediate moment.
>>3414330Those are both fair. Now that I think about it, we don't have that many character portraits, do we? The ones I remember are Kikuko, Keiseki, Rushorou, Circe, and Archer (not counting the Adelheid portrait that's in the works right now).>>3414380>>3414389The problem with a schedule - and with throttling Caster in the first place - is that it could very well weaken our barrier. If it does, that rat bastard Archer could sneak in and take hostages or get a new master or do something similar to screw us.
>>3414396Oh okThen >>3414380But transfer from Berserker to Caster in an hour and vice versa.Until we go to bed I guess. An hour is probably too short but the schedule thing will have to be figured out later on.
>>3414399That's a good point.>>3414276>Being a skilled magus herself, she should be able to find some alternative energy source to supplement her spells. Is this the rape choice?
>>3414380Yeah, we should do this later.
>>3414399It might weaken the barrier but then he has to deal with a full power Berserker chasing after him in a weakened state as soon as he gets detected. And Caster will definitely be on the watch for him.
We could move the noncombatants to adjust for the weakening field.
>>3414407Is it rape if Rushorou consents? Also, Inb4 we lose more Hitler Affection Points for fugging Circe than we would’ve for denying energy.
>>3414380How about...>[X] Suggest creating a schedule where the energy flow will be redirected to each of them at set intervals throughout the day as energy transferral practice. However until this can be decided between the three of us the transfers will be done every hour and a half, Caster will take priority during the night when we sleep as her barriers are essential however. ?
>>3414431We'll lose our Circe Affection Points if we don't, though, so it's fine
>>3414433Meaning Berserker's mana will switch to Caster in an hour and a half.
>>3414276>[ ] Even if returning the energy to Caster would be more prudent, it's obvious that Adelheid simply requires more energy to function than Caster does, and you can't bring yourself to put her back into the painful state of mystic energy deprivation. Being a skilled magus herself, she should be able to find some alternative energy source to supplement her spells. (Pride/Compassion)After some thought, we can't just sit back, tolerate, and even reward Circe trying to torment Adelheid. Right now, this is about sending a message to Circe that she can't push our allies - and especially not our other servant - around without suffering consequences. She's our servant, not the other way around. In that regard, Adelheid is her equal and she should be treated with the respect she deserves.
>>3414399I'm sure I gave you portraits for Matsuda and Ogawara at some point. Let me see...
>>3414512Now that you mention it, I'm pretty sure you did.You gave us a portrait for Matsuda, but it was pretty small and you didn't like it very much.Ogawara got a portrait of genderbent Tomoko.
Alright, for those who have forgotten their faces, here are the other guys in your group!
>>3414559Huh, I don't recall that picture of Matsuda ever being posted. I like it, though.
>>3414461Didn't Adelheid do the same thing with Truvietianne? And we barely reprimanded her for it.
>>3414579It's new. His character design hasn't changed from the first (crappier) portrait, though.
>>3414583That's a good point. We didn't really reprimand Bazakah but how could we have done so without any Spells?
>>3414583>>3414598Adelheid was basically just very forward with Truvi about her opinion of mages and Truvi did what Truvi does whenever someone so much as breathes in her general direction. What Berserker didn't do was throttle Truvi's life force with the clear intention of making her suffer.
>>3414559>Ogawara doesn't have glasses>Matsuda is not OkuyasuThis is horseshit
>>3414608>What Berserker didn't do was throttle Truvi's life force with the clear intention of making her suffer.Or, a more apt comparison, strangle her within a inch of her life. I suppose Circe could use a punishment when you put it that way.>>3414276>[ ] Even if returning the energy to Caster would be more prudent, it's obvious that Adelheid simply requires more energy to function than Caster does, and you can't bring yourself to put her back into the painful state of mystic energy deprivation. >>3414612If you have a better image for Ogawara, feel free to put it forward. Matsuda's locked in, though. As an aside, I'm not a huge fan of Okuyasu's design.
>>3414598We dont need them. Its mainly the fact that the only response we took was to go try and repair the damage, then we we came back made a single sarcastic remark to her. As >>3414461Said I can see their reasoning but I dont agree with using this as a punishment. >>3414608True but Truviet was not the initial aggressor. When we look back Truviet was being nice until Adelheid provoked her.
>>3414608In fact Adelheid has been real pushy with us since our first interaction. We have mostly let her take control of the situations, with the only real exception of come back to base.
>>3414633Charisma: A
>>3414627I'd say otherwise about the aggression. Adelheid just sort of walked up and asked for Truvi's name, and Truvi responded with "respect me more." Things went downhill from there.>>3414633See >>3414634Also, Berserker. So there's that.
It's only going to be temporary though, like one hour then we go into the schedule, right?
>>3414634I get that, but that doesn't mean we have to let her dictate what we do out of fear or worry of displeasing her.We will have to eventually show/demonstrate we are in control.I mean I'm still not sure if she joined us because she wanted too. I just think it was because we were closest.
>>3414643Maybe it's how I read it but>"It's the Master of Lancer," Adelheid remarks as she catches up to you. "I don't believe I've heard your name, girl."Is not how you ask for a name. Since Truviet talks and acts like a noble, I would argue that Adelheid purposely talked down to Truviet knowing how she would react.
>>3414664To further point out>"Fufufu~" Enjoying the abandoned tea and cookies, Berserker lets out a quiet laugh. "I do so enjoy humiliating the nobility. It never gets old."That screams to me that Adelheid purposely set things up to go how they went.
>>3414650We haven't, though. Sure, we've let her be a bit pushy, but on the matter of how to conduct our war we overruled her.>>3414664>>3414676I don't doubt that Adelheid wanted to mess with Truvi, but the point stands that she didn't do something nearly as terrible and torturous as what Circe just pulled.
>>3414683Fair enough on the first point. However on the second Circe taught us what we asked. YEs she did get enjoyment out of berserkers suffering but >At the same time, you hear the girl gasp. Fufufu~"Circe is not deserving of punishment for that. She did exactly as we told her, then explained it to berserker.
>>3414714I would still say she is. She only allowed Berserker the absolute barest minimum amount of magical energy to remain in existence.Imagine that you're thirsty and someone tells you that they can't hydrate you completely, but they can provide you with the water you need to survive. Then they proceed to slowly drip-feed you the barest minimum amount of liquid possible to prevent you from dying of dehydration. They didn't lie to you, sure, but it's clearly malicious on their part and hell to suffer through on your end.Caster could have still left Berserker with enough energy to be relatively comfortable, even if it was a drastically reduced amount that wasn't nearly enough to fight with. Instead, she chose to push our ally - who we just recruited with the promise of better conditions as a servant - to the very brink of death just because she wanted to. It's way out of line and should be treated as such.
>>3414759I would counter argue that even if for the wrong reasons it's for a tactically sound move. By limiting the amount to one servent to the bare minimum it gives the other servant all the excess, therefore enabling them to fight better. So when we eventually go into combat the shoe will be on the other foot and Circe will feel the effects of groundwork she just laid down. Also didn't we recruit her with the promise of a better master? (I might be wrong on that) because if so then its true we are a better master. However since we are a good enough master to have two servants one will have to be limited until we get even better with magical output control. The main point I'm trying (maybe failing to articulate) is that we can not nor should not use mana output as a punishment. If anything I think at base caster should have priority. When out in the field switch to berserker. With the condition that if they need a small boost for whatever reason to inform us, so we can try to give them the extra they needThough in the end we can tell caster to adjust the output so berserker doesnt have to stay in spirt form.
>>3414759Honestly berserker is probably going through what Artoria went through in OG fate
So, no to chastising intent?
Also is it at least possible to give Berserker a functional coporeal form or is that out of our current reach?
>>3414800>>3414808I see where you're coming from, and I agree that it's probably a better idea for Caster to have priority while we're in our base, but I still think Caster needs to be punished somehow so she doesn't feel like she can pull shit like this again. I need to go to sleep soon, so I'm just going to offer this compromise and see how you feel about it. It's playing with fire, but I feel like we need to put our foot down with Caster for once. I propose we offer her a choice. A: We can revert the flow of power to Caster, but to prevent Berserker from suffering too terribly, we'll provide her with mana by making out with her periodically. B: We can give Berserker the greater energy flow and give Caster mana in the other way. Having to make this choice and accepting the consequences of it (at least for a time) can be her punishment for toying with her ally and equal like that. How does that sound?
>>3414843I dont think it is. We just have to tell caster to change the output she set in place.
>>3414858Well caster is my chosen waifu so I'm all for option make out with her.
>>3414863The crux of it is that Caster herself has to make the choice of A or B. Do you consider the compromise acceptable?
>>3414858As for the punishment part, I think it would be best to sit down and set hard limits first. Basically show her the line she (we should do this with berserker to) will not cross. Then if she does hand out punishment in a degree that fits the offense.
>>3414843"A functional corporeal form" is what she has right now. If you mean actual incarnation, you need the grail.>>3414858Oh, you're going to make me choose? Decisions, decisions...
>>3414868Yeah, that seems like a fair compromise.
>>3414858I don't disagree with Caster because I honestly dislike Adelheid. I only voted to have her as our Servant because we could throw her at Archer and hope that they kill each other.Letting her live till the end will be a terrible mistake, one that could cost us Circe and the War.
>>3414874Your quest has been hijacked, Sweets. Now WE are the QM.
>>3414874Oh come on, caster would barricade us in her room if given the chance.>>3414868And while I do agree, I have one reservation (If we do that, the kiss feels like an obligation. I would at least like to tell/demonstrate that we (will?) kiss Circe because we want to; not because we have to.
>>3414874Damn straight. We can play hardball when we need to. I'm officially submitting the idea in >>3414858 as a write-in choice. >>3415444Sure. Assassin was Robin Hood, summoned into the right class for once.
>>3415717Aww, poor guy.
>>3415710quick edit
>>3415717>summon Robin Hood>as Assassin>use him defensively in an easily found hideoutAAAAAAAAAAAAA
>>3415734I mean, it goes with Hood’s mentality. But yeah, lots of decent servants to shit masters and vice versa in this War.
>>3415717Lies. Robin Hood was not a wooden robot, he was a metallic one. Doctor Who says soAssassin was actually one of those robot ninjas like Shimura Danzo, except with pic related as his face
>>3415739We're pretty much the only one who is a good master with a good servant.Wonder what Circe would've been like if we used the coins on her.
>>3415730Little better, too bad YUMI ain't gonna see those any time soon.>>3415739>and vice versaOnly one I can think of is Saber.
>>3415745Well not yandere, for one, given that we wouldn't be super-powered.
>>3415739Do you think it's any more the case here than in F/Z or F/SN? I mean, Kayneth was totally unprepared, whatshisface serialkiller didn't even know he was fighting a war, Kariya was too deranged to make any kind of active plan, and then Hundred-Faced Assassin was pretty much useless. So, that only leaves three good master-servant pairs in Zero, and that's if you count the dubious pairing of Waver and Rider as good (they never successfully take out an enemy Servant except when responding to an ambush).
>>3415742He was just wearing a mask.>>3415734What, you don't like gate-guarding assassins?
>>3415748Kayneth was pretty well-prepared, he even had a backup in case he lost Iskandar's catalyst
>>3415751>What, you don't like gate-guarding assassins? Not if they tolerate swallows.
>>3415748Kayneth was super prepared for the war.He just wasn't prepared for Kiritsugu. He had a decent fortress too, he just didn't expect Kiritsugu to cheat and engage in rampant acts of terrorism. Also Volumen is a bullshit Mystic Code.
>>3415746Berserker and Assassin could have done so much more at this point, especially since this Berserker is supposedly beyond the Madness Enhancement.>>3415748Oh no, I’m not saying it’s out of the norm. I’m just saying it’s a real waste. I suppose Assassin’s disposition would have limited him in any war...
Could we give Circe a suggestive look when we recommend "other" methods of sustaining herself?
Wait, I don't know why I'm defending the competency of the Masters in this war. Nobody joined it by choice! In the normal HGW, everyone except Shirou and that serial killer guy intentionally joined and knew what they were getting into. Here, it's a set of random people abducted in their sleep. Of course they're terrible at this.
>>3415764Anon, when I pointed at vice versa, I meant good Masters to shit Servants.
>>3415766Well, Souichirou didn't really join it out of choice. He just conveniently happened to know magic kung fu.Shinji also had no idea what the fuck he was getting in to.The two properly prepared magi both get killed offscreen before the war even starts.
>>3415734Also, to be fair; if you'd attacked the hideout, you would 100% have been killed.Blackbeard was just able to do it because he's broken as all hell.
>>3415765I hope so.
>>3415772Ah, my mistake. Imo Truvi probably would have been much better off with Servants more competent and less retarded. She definitely would have been better off with a servant who didn’t abide her bowing to Rushorou>>3415766This is true. >>3415781I knew it was a super-trap.
>>3415781Why the fuck are all the other Servants so much better than Circe except for Extra Assassin? fucking blows m80We should take it out on Cid and I know just how to do that. What is he anyway? Give ke your theories
>>3415765>>3415785Maybe we can coax Circe into sharing if we suggest that "Adel-chan" would be up to more INTENSE and INTIMATE Mana Transfer instead?
>>3415781We came offering an olive branch and now they are all super fucking dead.I fail to feel bad.Like at all.In fact I feel pretty good knowing that. Blackbeard has done us quite the favour. And his Master is still gonna be useless in a fight.
>>3415739>>3415789>Why do the enemies all suck so hard?>Why are all the enemies so OP?I don't know what you folks want.
>>3415789>ImplyingLancer was an uber-prideful scrubSaber seemed decent enough but got punked by lancer and RUSHOROUAssassin couldn’t survive against Rider at all (status of his master maybe allowing that), whereas Circe held her own against Archer and Rider without invoking any sort of NPPlus we’ve really been rushing this war and haven’t even used a lot of her support abilities to they maximum potential. Circe has been a very good servant, and I do acknowledge those who pushed so hard for caster earlier were right.
>>3415789Paris?It was Oddyseus who thought up the Trojan Horse. And Circe is pretty fucking related to the guy.Might've been enough to make him sperge. And explains his trash abilities.
>>3415799I’m just reflecting on the threads thus far. I strangely have come to like most of the servants featured, and feel bad that they got ruined by bad masters. Especially poor Justinian-kun. I’ve gotten what I wanted out of this quest so far- great writing and great fun.
>>3415799I want to hold hands and cuddle with Circe>>3415807Yes, Circe has been a very good girl so far. I'm just ing because I'm sleepy
>>3415818>spoilerthat is disgustingyou are disgusting
>>3415818>spoiler
>>3415818>that fucking spoiler
>>3415860>>3415866I didn't realize I shared the same quest with degenerates.
>>3415868
>>3415717Huh. I don't think I would have gotten that.I hope you had him with the proper alignment for once too.>>3415789Coins. We're the only ones in the war who directed the power within rather than without. Caster could easily have been the most broken servant in the war if we'd given her a full three silver coins on top of the two gold to summon an Age of Gods hero.>>3415812Cid's Assassin uses a lance, and Paris is most famous for using a bow. In fact, I don't think there's ever really a mention of him using a spear. It's probably someone else.
>>3415789My current theory for Cid's Assassin is Eurylochus, Odysseus' #2 and the only one of the group that encountered Circe to avoid being turned into a pig because he suspected she was trouble from the start.
>>3415906Ajax, despite being more famous for his shield, did use a spear. It’s would make sense why he’s rather weak; Ajax as an assassin would be a severe misclass.
I still think the pros of going for an Age of Gods outweigh the cons.
>>3416015I gotta be honest with you anon, I’m pretty tired of Age of God’s discussion. I get there’s not a ton else to do during these interludes, wish-talk is played out.
>>3416032We can always wonder how the war would've gone had Ogawara or Matsuda been the MC.
>>3416039Which servants do you think would have been optimal for Ogawara? The Matsuda-Archer connection is obvious, but I’m not sure who would’ve been best for him.
>>3416048>OgawaraBasakah, for the fucking lolicon.
>>3416054Note: I'm only being retarded on purpose
>>3416048Hmm.I don't know if any really fit him.Circe is best for Yumigawa because of his talent at diplomacy, his fairly large intellect and the fact that he's pretty Oddyseus-like.Matsuda-Archer is obvious. Berserker would probably get tired of JUST LIKE IN MY ANIME every 30 seconds Rider might be a good candidate. Lancer would teach him how to become a successful loser, like himself.
>>3416063>talent at diplomacylol we suck at diplomacy, wtf are you talking about
>>3416063>YUMI>diplomacypfftAnyway, Saber might physically beat him into shaping up and Robin Hood might've worked but we'll never know.If we were going to pick any Servant in Fate, it'd be hikihime despite, despite my relative dislike for GO.
>>3416073We don't though. We've been successful in basically every attempt. And most of the time we're dealing with fucking lunatics. We managed to talk (and bribe with coffee) Hitler-chan out of killing us.We keep a perfectly straight face as we pretend to surrender. We continuously salvage our relation with Truvi. The only failure we made was Archer and Kikuko's trap. But that can't really be attributed to a failure in our diplomatic skill. And I don't even remember if we had the choice to say no.
>>3416094That sounds more like deceit, not exactly diplomacy desu. Our only relatively honest interaction with an enemy (IC) was with Adelheid.
>>3416115Deceit and Diplomacy are one and the same. It's all about manipulation.
>>3416115>>3416117Also Oddyseus was the guy who thought up the Trojan Horse so he's also super deceitful too.
>>3416117Diplomacy also involves compromise, anon, it isn't just being a liar.
>>3416318But we do compromise. We compromised by allowing Keiseki an extra 10 minutes to live.Yumigawa is clearly meant to be pretty decent at diplomacy, he even mentions that persuading Truvi isn't all too different from when he was a student council president.
>>3415789I'd like to point out that Caster isn't supposed to fight head on. Remember at the beginning of the War, when you folks asked Caster how she preferred to fight, and she said her strategy would be to find ways to eliminate the enemy without a direct conflict?
>>3416343That's generally how Casters are supposed to work. They are best used as a creative Assassin with more laser beams.I don't know what the hell is going through some these anon's heads half the time.Usually Caster is summoned by clueless idiots though, maybe as some sort of auto balance.Like Ryonosuke, or Atrum who were both fucked from the start. Also Souichirou really should not have kept going to teach at the school especially considering that Medea can just mess with everyone's memories after the war is won.
The hat decoration is based on what Hitler wore during ww1.The Iron Crosses are a bit of a give-away but not so much.Expression is now a slight grin.Thoughts?
>>3416443I know this had been commented on, but there must be some way to delet those tits.
>>3416443>>3416461I'm no expert, but if the tits are still an issue then the perhaps lighten or remove the shadows that give away her curvature. Might also need to adjust the outline at the sides of her chest just a tad so that they're completely gone.
>>3416461How about now?
>>3416529Or now?
>>3416535Better. How short was she, though?
>>3416548Check the pastebinShe's 4'6"
This is ridiculous. First, Caster throttles the energy with which she supplies Adelheid in such a way as to leave her barely able to function. Now, after you've made clear that you disapprove of the cruel mistreatment by shifting your energy to the other girl, Caster has the nerve to suggest that you return the energy to her on the grounds of prudence? No, even if she is the more useful of the two Servants to keep well-supplied during a time of peace, you have no intention of condoning her actions. She'll just have to live with less energy until you decide to reverse the system again. Before you open your mouth to proclaim your decision, though, an idea strikes you. Perhaps there's a more effective way to chastise Caster's action: teasing. You can force her to decide the state of things. "Alright," you begin, "I can see your point of view. Your magic is certainly more versatile than Berserker's combat ability. Still, it's obvious that I can't simply leave her in her current condition." You tap a finger against your chin in mock contemplation as you continue, "Fortunately, Berserker has demonstrated another method of transferring mystic energy for us. So, Caster, I'll let you make the decision here. I can either shift the main energy flow to you and keep Berserker sustained that way, or I can continue providing Berserker with as much energy as she needs as I am currently and you can come to me if you need supplemental energy."Caster sighs, putting a palm to her forehead. "Master," she says, "are you looking at this as some kind of game? No, I suppose you just don't understand magic very well yet. I'm constantly directing my energy to the maintenance of the barrier and surveillance magic protecting the university. It isn't something that can function on a periodic resupply, because it's a reactive system. I have to have sufficient energy to respond to an incursion at any time. I must insist that you return the primary energy allotment to me. If you feel the need to keep Miss Berserker supplied with energy via your saliva, that's your decision.""Oh, that's why you're so greedy with the energy, is it?" Adelheid asks sarcastically. "You certainly had me deceived. In any case, I'd be fine with either solution, provided I receive sufficient energy somehow.""I see," you say. "So your energy supply is essential to the university's defenses. In that case..." You close your eyes and, returning to your vision of the flow of energy, reverse it once more. The shift comes far more easily this time, although it still requires some mental straining. The mental image of an enormous industrial lever, choked with rust and age, but slowly returning to functionality, comes to mind.
"Now then," you say, eager to move on to a new topic as the afternoon sun hangs low in the sky...>[ ] "Would you like to meet the others, Adelheid? There are still three members of my little troupe you haven't been introduced to." (Compassion)>[ ] "I'd like to know what else the technique of Transference can be used for, Caster. >>3416786>[X] "Would you like to meet the others, Adelheid? There are still three members of my little troupe you haven't been introduced to." (Compassion)Well.Should've seen that coming. Oh well.Let's kiss Caster the next time we're in private regardless.
>>3416786>[ ] "Would you like to meet the others, Adelheid? There are still three members of my little troupe you haven't been introduced to." (Compassion)Not as effective as intended, but at least the issue is resolved and Caster can't bitch about the arrangement.I desire to witness the flatbowl.
>>3416363>I don't know what the hell is going through some these anon's heads half the time.I'm TRYING to pursue the tactic of having Yumigawa be the frontline fighter to distract enemy Servants while Circe does her bullshit in the background.>>3416786>>[ ] "I'd like to know what else the technique of Transference can be used for, Caster. I'm sure that managing Servants isn't its only application; you mentioned imbuing objects with my energy?" (Pride/Duty)
>>3416816That strategy worked for Kuzuki because his confrontations with enemy servants were incredibly brief and he had been raised as a literal killing machine. We're exceptionally well-suited for combat against other masters, but combat against servants is pretty much a pipe dream for anybody who isn't made of swords and has a heartbeat.
>>3416786>[ ] "I'd like to know what else the technique of Transference can be used for, Caster. I'm sure that managing Servants isn't its only application; you mentioned imbuing objects with my energy?" (Pride/Duty)That's enough dilly-dallying, we have to better prepare for what's to come.
>>3416816Tbh anon it should be the other way around. Circe’s Magic is well suited for kiting and Rushorou has proven quite adept at murdering masters.
>>3416841>[X] "Would you like to meet the others, Adelheid? There are still three members of my little troupe you haven't been introduced to." (Compassion)Actually, we should check up on everyone else. What are the odds of a night raid, anyway?
>>3416816When you think about having Rushorou be a frontline fighter, remember how well True Assassin did against Rider in the Sakura route. His stats were better than yours.
>>3416896I wouldn'tlike it either, but Caster can make all kinds of Mystic Codes for Yumigawa on top of teaching him to use Reinforcement or Reinforcing him directly. So I feel like Yumi ultimately has a significant edge over True Assassin.
>>3416909Well yes, but you folks would have to actually sit down and discuss mystic codes with Caster and improve your magic skills first.
>[X] "Would you like to meet the others, Adelheid? There are still three members of my little troupe you haven't been introduced to." (Compassion)Sub vote: who do you want to go looking for?>[ ] Matsuda>[ ] Ogawara>[ ] Kikuko
>>3416916>[X] MatsudaThe man who taught us how to kill Masters. Is he even aware of that? Did we tell him at all?
>>3416912Which is something to do after Adelf is done talking to everyone else.>>3416836>>3416859That's also a tactic we can use, having Yumi act as a pseudo-Assassin. However, this ALSO requires buffs everywhere to emulate some skills like Presence Concealment or Murderer of the Misty Night, and maybe weapons in the event that a Servant intervenes. Basically we have to kit him out to make up the difference between a pseudo-Hero and an actual Hero.
>>3416916Doesn't this seem like a big waste of time? Shouldn't we be doing actual grail war stuff?
>>3416916>Matsuda>>3416924Shou
