Last time:
Percy spent the night with Eli and became even more confused about his current relationship with her. In his dreams, he searched for Victoria and had a little heart to heart with the psychic little girl. The morning after, during training Percy realized that Mimikyu’s injuries were more serious than he previously thought and sent the little ghost to his home back at North Pass city so he can rest for the next couple of days.
After making some plans for tomorrow with his friends, he decided to accompany Jeanne to the Arsonist base so she can take care of some “unfinished business”

You are walking through the lively streets of Lacrimosa bay. The city is one of the few touristic attractions that Aztlan has to offer, during the summer it becomes filled with people from all around the region, even some tourist hailing from faraway places.
By your side is your team and Jeanne, she’s leading you to a “meeting point” where she and the other members of the Arsonist’s team where going to be teleported back to their base.

Prince and Vulpix are complaining about the heath and being forced to walk so much. The two of them are trying to coerce you into carrying them.

[Prince]: Please pa, my stubby legs are still hurting from today’s training, let me ride on your back, just for a bit.

[Vulpix]: You are such a wuss! Yellow Crybaby.

[Vulpix]: Hey trainer! You should carry me instead! You won’t get the chance once I evolve, and I can cool you off!

Loudred is about to interject but stops herself, she lets out a sigh of sorrow. The purple mon seems to miss the days where she was small enough to be carried around, even though she’s still on her second evolutionary stage she’s still barely older than Prince.

Prince, for a change, seems to stand up for himself, seems like training with Houndour has really improved his confidence. Still, you decide to put a stop to their petty squabble before it becomes an actual fight.

You turn to the purple gladiator taking her by surprise as you crouch to her level and position your arms around her waist to lifts those 90 lbs of pure power.

You'll probably manage to lift her, but you don't know how long you can keep her in your arms, and there's still quite a way to go.

With too much effort you manage to lift Loudred. Your face is getting red as a tomato and your back is starting to hurt but you manage to hold her in your arms.

Loudred surprised expression changes to a big, dumb smile. She hugs you back, being careful of not pulverizing your back with her herculean strength, snuggling to you while containing her innocent giggles capable of bursting out your eardrums. Her happiness is worth all the pain in your arms.

You can only manage to take a couple of steps before a sharp pain in your lower back makes you drop Loudred.

Jeanne practically rushes to your side at the sight of you being in pain and quickly lifts your shirt as she orders you to keep in place. With great care she starts to examine your back, softly palpating the injured area. It seems you lightly strained a muscle.

You are a bit surprised at how direct Jeanne was while handling your injury. The short-haired blonde girl has been pressing Vulpix against your back for a while now, to reduce the swelling. Your Ice type seems a bit annoyed at the idea. “You know, when I said you should have carried me, this isn’t what I pictured.”


[Jeanne]: The swelling should go down in a couple of hours, but you should keep Vulpix close to your back to avoid any pain, I‘ve got some pain medication back home, and I can massage the hurt muscles to get the blood flowing…

[Percy]:Thanks Jeanne, and sorry Loudred.

You thank the girl for her help. You are still feeling pained, but she made it much more bearable. Loudred seems a bit disappointed, but understanding, she tells you that once she evolves again, she’ll pay you back by carrying you anywhere you like.

It’s Christmas Eve, the morning sun rarely peaks through the perpetually cloudy sky over the remains of Citlal town. The landscape is covered entirely by snow. In this desolate place, the military has set up a camp.

A young man wearing a combat uniform and a black bandana that covers most of his face solemnly approaches one of the many unmarked graves, there’s no name on it, but he knows the one occupying the grave a bit too well.

He stares down into the cold ground, swallowing his grief, his anger, and impotence. Struggling to get the words out he greets an old friend.

Soldier: Hey…
Soldier: We, found Jaws the other day, he’d returned to the sewers back at North Pass. We’ve managed to capture him but he’s still uncooperative, he almost bit my head off yesterday.
Soldier: He misses you, and so does Tremor, Avenger, Friday all of your team.
Soldier: Me too…

Soldier: Anyways. I wanted to give you something for the occasion. There’s isn’t much left after everything went down, but I found something while scavenging the other day. Thought you may like it.

The young soldier places an old VHS tape onto the ground. A copy of Lake of Rage 4: A RED SUNSET. The first movie they watched together.

As he longingly stares at the ground, wishing to be in her place and at the same time, blaming himself for having such thoughts. His musings are stopped by an approaching figure, who reprimands him with her callous and cutting attitude.

[Leader]: Whatever. Just came to tell you we’ve got work to do. Another “Big-one” was sighted near the area. He has a small group of followers. Our squadron will neutralize the threat. Go get your mons, everyone else is ready.

Soldier: Sure thing, “Leader”.

Almost mechanically, the young man stood up. Departing from the grave with one last “Merry Christmas”. While he walked to get the remainders of his team, he questioned his “squad leader”.

Soldier: What’s the point? The bombs are dropping after New Year’s. We’ve got no chance to make things right.

[Leader]: Doesn’t hurt to try. If we survive today, we might be able to make it to our little Christmas celebration.
[Leader]: And hey. I don’t know if it means anything coming from me.
[Leader]: But it isn’t your fault.

The soldier doesn’t respond to her, instead, he silently keeps on marching. Because he knew that’s a lie. This whole shitshow. Everything that went down. He can’t help but feel responsible for it.

10 days before the bombs drops. There’s nothing else to do but kill time until everything burns away.

You can’t help but notice that there’s something off about their Pokéballs, the look, off-brand? You’ve never seen Pokéballs like those before, you can’t tell if they are just heavily personalized or if they were made out of inferior materials.

Jeanne and Mareep get between you and the Delinquents, she starts pleading everyone to stop

A good portion of the reminders of the Arsonist’s team seem wary of you, the only thing that seems to be stopping them from actually attacking you seems to be Jeanne, who cheerfully says hi to every single member of the group, she even got their name downs and takes the time to ask how are they doing.

The building seems to be in better condition on the inside than the outside, the grunts and Jeanne seem to have been putting a serious effort on making this place a little better, or at least, less shitty. Most of the members seem to be teenagers close to your age, a lot of them sport tired or anxious looks, their clothes look worn-out, and you can see that most of them and their mons seem quite hungry.

Jeanne tells you that she needs to get some stuff from the Arsonist’s room before departing, but first, she’s going to cook breakfast with some of the grunts and break the news of the Arsonist’s arrest to them.
