We promised an injured looking Eli an outing to the cinema later today, and were called to Dr. Maple's lab to discuss the info we recovered from one of White Veil abandoned installations.

>Sure, you’ll personally deliver them to her.
>You want to know about the BEHEMOTH project, it seems to be related to “THE QUEEN OF INSECTS” and Prince.
>Tell Dr Maple to take a break. She seems to be close to a nervous breakdown.

You accept her request to personally deliver the documents to Dr. Aspen, Professor Maple is positively giddy at your response. Giggling like a schoolgirl on that anime you watched all night.

She suddenly changes to a more serious tone as she starts to explain the things she found out.
The BEHEMOTH project was White Veil Attempt to recreate and control beasts of myths, like the giants mentioned in the passages of Saint Hernan the Slayer, or the spirits mentioned in legends of the southern tribes of Aztlan.
Even though they are different in species, all of them share the same traits.

An anomalous size.
Unmatched physical prowess.
Heightened intelligence.
The ability to impose their will over Pokémon be it wild or captured. And in some cases, control over humans.
An innate sense of superiority over every living being
And finally, what White Veil head researcher dubbed, Distortion Particles.
They were made as weapons, being capable of destabilizing entire communities.

But the project was ultimately a failure.
Only six specimens were able to survive and become “Behemoths” and even then, they couldn’t reach the full extent of their potential.

A seventh specimen was also created, but “she” was, an “unexpected result”
They were impossible to control, in the best cases, they were uncooperative. At worst, they were positively rebellious, violent and murderous towards humans, White Veil had to keep most of them heavily sedated.

The project was called of, only two of the Behemoths were deemed. “Usable” by White Veil labs. The other five, were supposed to be stored away, never to see the light of day again, but according to the reports you got, somewhere along the line, they went missing.

Now, speaking of the samples you got.

While the QUEEN OF INSECTS, seems to be an almost “Mature” Behemoth her genetic material seems unstable, constantly changing.
Prince’s fur shared some similarities to the QUEEN Silver Powder, albeit his samples seemed much more stable.
He has the capacity to either mature into a normal, albeit exceptional Pokémon for his species in terms of strength or go down the path of becoming a “Behemoth” if the right criteria is met.

The whole process of the creation and growth of Behemoths is described in the D.P. (Distortion Particles) document.
>>
>>3297910
The Seven artificial created Behemoths are described as such.

GREED: Electric Type, uncooperative. Intimidating presence that makes weaker individuals bend to his will. Surprisingly sensible and tactic when it comes to critical thinking and decision making. Has an extreme desire to accumulate subjects and territory. Very protective of what he considers “property”

LUST: Bug/Flying type. (As of yet). TOO DANGEROUS. Considered for termination. Pokémon turned parasitic lifeform. Changes of “host” to accelerate her development at a dangerous rate. Capable of producing pheromones that alter the conduct of both human and Pokémon. Highly confrontative and violent.

GLUTTONY: Ground Type. Complete failure. She presents the physical anomalies of a Behemoth. Only able to control her own species, high reproductive abilities, none of their offspring share the same traits as her.

PRIDE: Dragon/Ground Type. Failure. Intimidating presence makes other bends to his will. Obsessed with tracking, hunting and eliminating his prey. Kills for sport. Only keeps a handful of subjects under his rule to assist him in the pursue of his prey. Will not stop until his target is eliminated. Subject is survivor of previous Mega-Evolution research.

WRATH: Ghost Type. Failure. TOO DANGEROUS, CONSIDERED FOR TERMINATION. MUST BE SEDATED AT ALL TIMES. Lab has failed to find a way to keep him contained. Violent and aggressive to humans. Unexplained teleportation abilities not blocked by psychic disruptors.

SLOTH: Normal type. Success. Cooperative when correctly “motivated”, presents both the physical anomalies of a Behemoth as well as their abilities. Immense caloric intake needed to keep alive. Unusually docile if it’s well fed.

ENVY: Unexpected result, under review. No type. No physical abnormalities, abilities similar to Behemoths. Ability to directly control both Pokémon and human with relative ease, except for Dark Types. Abilities limited to one objective at the time.

Dr. Maple was right, genetically tampering with mons is considered highly illegal in Aztlan.

Before she can finish, Dr. Maple is cut short by the ominous sound of someone knocking rather hurriedly on her door. Followed by the voice of a man.

[Man Behind The door]: Aztlan Bureau of investigation! We have some question for Dr. Marie Maple. Open up.

The woman in a lab coat lets out an unintentionally high “Eek” as she hurries to hide under her desk, violently trembling.

>Convince Dr. Maple to calm down and play it cool. Needs roll.
>Open the door and try to convince the guy that Dr. Maple isn’t in the premises at the moment. Needs roll.

As the knocking on the door grows more frequent and frantic the voice calling for Professor Maple become more exasperated, it’s a single voice but you can’t tell how many people and mons are behind the door.

The good, bespectacled Professor is still hiding under her desk, trying her best to stay and silent.

But her best is not enough, as its easy to discern the sole desk in the lab that’s shaking spastically i f you get close enough you can hear the professor’s regrets in life.

Via telepathy, you ask Kadabra to teleport her and all of the data you got from White Veil, including everything the professor wrote on them to Dick’s Villa at Lacrimosa Bay. He sighs a bit annoyed, since teleporting so much stuff at the same time, so far away, would definitely give him a headache. He agrees to do it anyway.

You get near the Professor to quietly tell her that you are going to get her out of here.

[Percy]: “Besides, I thought you needed a break from all of this. How does the beach sound? Good? Good, Great”

She can’t even respond, instead she just gives you a loox of confusion of anxiety followed by an incomplete string of “Wh-wh-what?”

Kadabra concentrates on the stuff to teleport, his eyes glowing intensely.

Roll me 2d100!
Best of three.

In less than a second, Kadabra, all the multiple boxes containing countless papers, the computers and Professor Maple were all missing from the room.

Opening the door of the lab, stops the hurried banging and reveals a curious yet familiar pair. A dark-skinned man sporting sun glasses and wearing a black formal suit in the middle of the summer and his apparent partner, a sad looking Elygem.

The man introduces himself as agent “W” from Aztlan Bureau of Investigation while showing his badge. He tells you that he belongs to one of the less unorthodox branches of the bureau.

You present yourself as one of Professor Maples assistants (which is true) and confidently tell them that she left a while ago. “She needed a break, the professor has been swamped with work these days” (Technically not a lie)

[Agent W]: You sure kid? Cuz, I’m pretty sure I heard a woman’s voice when I got here.

[Percy]: That was me, I was talking to my Pokémon, but my voice tends to crack, because…Puberty. Yes.

[Agent W]: Shit kid, at your age? Hope that stops fast, you crack your voice like that in high school and people start to think they can call you names, girls laugh at ya, punks threat ya like a bitch.

[Agent W]: Keep strong kid, teens can be mean as shit.

He gives you a reassuring pat on the shoulder. This fast talking, loose agent of the law seem way too lax on the job. He notices that Elygem is still feeling under the weather and urges him to cheer up, promising some take out food once they are done with their investigation for the day.

You try to nonchalantly ask him what he needed Professor Maple though, and he explains to you that he was hoping to find some answers or a lead with her since she studies Pokémon behavior. Apparently, Pokémon at Silverpoint passage where abducting trainers and behaving violently a couple of days ago. He was hoping to find the reason for this sudden behavior.

Most of the people where rescued during a bounty hunting raid, but there’s still some missing people. And most of the law enforcement around are focused on investigating the terrorist attack of the Blackstone training facility by the revolutionaries.

[Agent W]:And we two are alone stuck with the weird shit, same as always.

[Agent W]: Hey kid, can you tell your boss to contact me? It could really help our asses.

>Sure, you’ll tell her to get in touch with him later. Then return to the Villa, Eli’s waiting for you.
>You don’t trust this guy, you’ll tell the professor to watch her back around him. Then return to the Villa.
>Offer your help? Maybe you can talk to the captured mons. Eli can wait.

>You’ll let Professor Maple know.
>Ask the Elygem what’s wrong.

Agent W doesn’t’ seem like a threat, his laid-back attitude makes him really affable, even if the suit and the shades weirded you out a bit. You’ll make sure to tell Professor Maple to get in contact with him.

Thanks Kiddo. You are one of those kids traveling across the region for summer, right?

Word of advice, there’s been lot of freaks and psychos running amok, and some really strange shit popping around all over the region. If you notice something unusual, hit me up.

He hands you a card that reads. “Aztlan Bureau of Investigation: Miscellaneous Events Department” and a phone number.
>Obtained Agent. W number!

You approach the Elygem who’s been looking quite depressed ever since he entered the premises, you offer him some Pokéfood out of your pocket in a sign of a good faith, while producing high pitched almost inhuman noises to ask him what’s wrong.

Elygem seems surprised at your communication skills, while agent W. seems positively incredulous.

Elygem tells you that he isn’t supposed to be here, he was supposed to return “home” various days ago, but a Clefairy stole his means to get back. Agent W was helping Elygem get home, but after failing him, he’s making it up to him by giving him a play to stay and food while working as his “partner”.

When you ask the little green guy where his “home” is, he solemnly points to the sky.

[Elygem]: Now I’m stuck here, waiting for everything to crumble.

[Percy]: Wait, you know about the “catastrophe” the aliens where talking about!? Could you tell me more about it!?

[Elygem]: There’s no point to it, but I wouldn’t mind telling you what I know if you were willing to help my partner.

Before you can ask how could you help, Agent W interjects abruptly, he’s genuinely impressed with your ability to understand mons and wants to recruit you to help him with the case he’s working on.

[Agent W.]: Kid, that’s some weird ass shit you were doing, can you understand other kind of mons? Cause that would a great help right now. C’mon Kid, do it for your country.

>Help agent W interrogate the aggressive mons that were kidnaping trainers at Silver Passage. (Will probably take a lot of time)
>Decline, you got stuff to do! Professor Maple is probably freaking out right now, and you promised Eli to take her out. Also, you haven’t challenged the water gym yet.

[Percy]: I, ehm, promised a friend to take her out today. To the movies, me and her.

[Agent W]:You? The kid who’s carrying around Poké-kibble in his pockets and screeches like an Ekans being run over has a date with a lady-friend? She’s human right?

[Percy]:Yeah, she’s human. I’m like 95% sure. The other 5% percent is my constant paranoia that every human that actually likes me is just a ditto traying to be nice, or a delusion.

The government agent places his hand over you shoulder and shakes you to stop your ramblings, before giving of some advice in the most stern voice he’s capable of.
[Agent W]: Kid, calm down. Don’t mess this up. You can do it.
Finally, you promised Agent W to contact him tomorrow to help him out with some interrogations, you are sure you can leave that for tomorrow, you got plenty of time. At least that what you wan to believe.

Teleporting back to the villa, you are met with a hyperventilating Professor Maple red as a Magmar, and a worried Gareth helping her calm down,

There’s no sign of Eli, Dick or Aleida nowhere near.

After Gareth managed to get Professor Maple to settle down, you explain her what Agent W. told you back at her lab. She seems a little unsure about cooperating with the government agent, but you try to convince her he’s harmless.

[Professor Maple]: I’m not sure Percy, he’s, you know…

[Percy]: ….Black?

[Professor Maple]: Oh my god, no! I meant, he’s a government agent! And I’m sure White Veil has people in there! Those insidious, corrupt, scheming backstabbers.

[Percy]: Well, Agent W seems like a nice guy, and he didn’t mention anything related to, ehm, you know, those things, he just wants some help with his job. Just play it cool.

[Professor Maple]:Alright, but, please don’t ever teleport me so suddenly again, I get dizzy.

[Gareth]: I feel like I’m way out of the loop here.

Gareth goes inside to fetch some cold water for the professor. Kadara tells you he teleported all the documents and data to your room in the villa but it’s pretty dangerous to keep it there and advises to move them somewhere else, but where?

>>
The problem isn't having this data stolen. It's having this data DESTROYED because of how absolutely ass-blastingly compromising it is for White Veil. They CANNOT let this shit exist out of their control without them knowing. I feel like Maple's Lab might be too obvious a location, anybody can sneak unimpeded into the Villa with everybody gone and simply destroy them there with Poison-type acids or fire or water or worse. Ibarra Village ruins are public and have wild pokemon in them, it's a hazard for the files and shit to be there at all.

The safest places are either
>hidden in Percy's room back at North Pass
or
>someplace Dr. Maple knows for certain is unknown and safe for the stuff to be contained
And she should invest in anti-tracking and counter-surveillance tech if she hasn't already.

You decide to take all of the documents and data to the Yellow King, you might be able to convince him of safeguarding them, it would be pretty convenient since you there’s not many people able to enter his domains and bypass his guards.

You also tell the Pokémon professor you’ll teleport her back to her lab after she relaxes for a bit and ask Gareth if he could keep company with Professor Maple while you are away, she objects this saying that she should return to her lab and continue working but you urge her to take a breather, telling her that she’ll work better once her head is clearer.

[Professor Maple]: Well, I guess, I could take a little break, Are you ok with it Gareth?

[Gareth]: Eh, I wasn’t really feeling like cleaning up the beach for the minimum wage today. C’mon, I’ll show you around, Sandrider found a great place at the beach yesterday, it got plenty of shade and people kept throwing coins at me while lazing around…

The pair goes to take a leisure walk on the sand while you get ready to attend some important business. Your room at the Villa has the floor filled with boxes of papers and one of Maple's computer.

All this moving around has made Kadabra more used to teleportation, so going from here to North Pass shouldn’t be much of an issue, but you can tell he’s getting mentally and physically exhausted, teleporting so many things has taken a toll on him his teleportation is supposed to be used only on himself, two or three people at most.

After some jumps, you and your team find yourself in at North Pass, in the entrance of the abandoned factory. Loudred is carrying most of the documents with her humongous strength.

You better hurry up if you want to get back at Lacrimosa bay in time to hang out with Eli.

Before you can march inside, you can feel Prince tugging your pants, he looks more nervous than usual, fidgeting about as he speaks like a human involuntarily.

[Prince]: Hey pa, I mean, Percy. You think I could sit this one out, in my Pokéball? I don’t…I don’t think I’m ready to met “Him”.

>Don’t be scared Prince! I’m sure the Yellow King will be happy to see you. Besides it could be good for you to meet your actual father.

>(offer to carry him) Get in my shoulders, if you feel too nervous just hold on to me.

You nod understandingly and comply with the yellow ovoid monster.
[Percy]: It’s okay Prince, if you feel that you aren’t ready, I won’t force you to do it
[Prince]: Thanks pa.

The little mon seems calmer now, returning to his Pokéball with an air of relief surrounding him. H

>Prince is really grateful that you are understanding and patient with him.

[Vulpix]: Pft, what a coward.

[Houndour]: Don’t speak ill of your teammate, he’s done some progress, but he’s not ready to meet with the King, a bad experience would only set him back.

You enter the abandoned factory, the King’s guards, a group of Pawniard are quick to recognize you and offer to escort you towards the Yellow King.

Houndour decides to briefly separate from your group to see his pack for a bit, Kadabra does the same, saying he’ll go look for his friends Mewoth and Murkrow.

>Kadabra and Houndour left the party temporarily.

This place seems to have changed quite a bit since last time you where here, there are more Pokémon living about, you can recognize some of them from the “White Room”, they seem more organized than before and it seems they’ve been working on improving the factory state. Overall, they seem more relaxed, and amicable.

Since the King’s got more subjects now to operate the machinery that feeds him with electricity, you guess that the mons living under his rule got their workload reduced.

After a while, you arrive at the throne room, the Hulking beast sits in front you and greets you cordially. The Yellow King inquires on the state of his offspring and you tell him he’s been working hard to become a mon worthy of his title, but he still not ready to present himself to the King.

[Yellow King]: Cautious and humble, those aren’t bad qualities. Now answer me, what bring you to my domains today? Aren’t you on a journey?

You tell the King that you’ve come here with hopes of safeguarding some important information.
As you explain the giant Electivire what’s the content of this documents, how they are related to White Veil and to himself and the other artificial Behemoths, you can clearly see that you’ve captured his interest. He decides to continue his conversation with you in private, standing from his throne and personally escorting you towards a place to store all the info.

His pace is slow, and every footsteps feels heavy, you know most Pokémon are quite dangerous if provoked, but there’s something about the Yellow King and all the other Behemoths you’ve met that gets you to stay on guard at all times.

[1/2]
>>
>>3313235

As he walks you towards the safe room the Yellow King tells you that he will store and protect the data from any danger, but in exchange, he tells you that he’ll have access to the documents, there’s something in there that seems to have caught his attention.

>The Yellow King now has access to White Veil secret documents.

[Yellow King]: Tell me, Young Master, just what did you intend to do with these information?
[Percy]: I want to help someone, someone who really needs it. A victim of White Veil, and these documents might be key to do it.

[Yellow King]: A rather noble goal, for a human. Also, I must know. How is my offspring doing? You said that on those papers was the “key” to turn mons into Behemoths, now I must know. Will you take him down that path? Will you transform him into the same being I am?

How is Prince doing?
>He’s could be doing better, you are making progress with him, little by little. But you aren’t sure if he wants to be a leader or a King. (Lower the King’s expectations?)

>You’ll turn him into a fine leader, you promise it.

>You think he may not be cut to rule over mons like the Yellow King, but maybe he can help the King in other ways, as a Diplomat with humans.

>He’s doing great, his strength is almost incomparable, even if he might not be a natural born ruler, he’ll definitely become a top-notch fighter, he could be a general.

>Other/ write-in.

And concerning his growth.

>You do want to try and help him become a Behemoth like the King.

>You think it would be better for him if he stays like a regular, albeit powerful Electivire.

>You’ll follow the King’s wishes regarding this decision.

>Prince has to make the decision, you can’t impose it to him.

Also, do you want to ask the Yellow King anything? (select one, it’s almost time to met with Eli.)

>About the other artificial Behemoths (in general)

>How did he and the others escape White Veil labs?

>What is he planning to do with the information you brought? He seemed interested in it.

>Nah, better not pry too much, might upset him.

>Prince is growing into an powerful, intelligent, and thoughtful individual, though he's still deciding what to be at the end of his journey
>Prince has to make the decision, you can’t impose it to him
>Ask for advice about the Vespiquen/Adage Village situation

You tell the King that Prince has growing up a lot this days, becoming stronger and showing his intellect. But he’s also surprisingly thoughtful and sensitive.
[Percy]: He is still unsure of the path he wants to take. But I’m sure he’ll make the right call, It’s his choice to make and I’ll support him however I can.

[Yellow King]: Even if he decides to go down the same path as me? Are you not afraid of that possibility? Me, and most of the other Behemoths could effortlessly slaughter you and your subjects on a whim. If I decided to crush your fragile human body right now, you could not stop me.

The King looms over you, menacingly, imposing, you can see the reaction of your team as Mimikyu and Loudred prepare to strike at any moment, while Vulpix freezes at this sudden change of. But you don’t falter, you can see trough him. And truth to be told, human interaction still makes you more anxious than this.

[Percy]: But you wouldn’t. You know that killing me, or any humans would bring trouble to your subjects. You are cautious and have a good judgement on how you rule, I believe Prince inherited that from you.
The King is suprised at your fearless demeanor, he tells you that he’s glad such unshakable human is taking care of his offspring, Mimikyu comments that it’s just your complete disregard for your safety and well-being.

[1/2]
>>
>>3316432

You use this moment to ask him about one of the artificial Behemoths, the Queen of Insects, you tell him what happened back at Adage Village and if he has any advice on how to resolve the situation.

[Yellow King]: The parasite… I hoped the humans would’ve taken care of her by now. She does not care for her subjects, only thinking of adding fodder to her ranks, to expand her domains. She’s quick to resort to slaughter and cannot be reasoned with.

[Yellow King]: We aren’t complete, none of us managed to attain our full potential. Except for The Queen, that damn parasite.

[Yellow King]: She grows by changing bodies. The only reason she couldn’t become a true Behemoth is because the humans would dispose of her bodies and make her start all over again. But, if she has amassed so many subjects, and has so much access to food, she’ll get a new body in mere weeks.

[Yellow King]: There’s only one way to stop her.

[Yellow King]: Kill her current body, destroy the mindless larvae that will be her new vessel, and finally dispose of her true self, the parasite. Burn everything until just ashes remain of her. Your capturing devices can’t hold us for long.

[Yellow King]: Do this, before the month passes, or she’ll become a danger to everyone.

[Yellow King]: This is the only way to end her reign. Now, I must return to my royal duties, take care human. And next time you come here, I hope to see the progress my offspring has made. Farewell.

With these words the Electivire returns to the throne room, while he sends a group of Pawniard to escort you to the exit. While you are walking, Loudred, who’s quite shaken about the current events asks you.

[Loudred]: What are you gonna do Percy? You are really thinking about… doing it? Kill someone?

>Yes, we need to get stronger to stop her. It’s my responsibility.
>I still think I can convince her to stop. I don’t want to kill anyone.

I think we've kinda exhausted any options of ending this cleanly. It's not exactly something Percy would relish doing (or take lightly,) but considering the alternative it's probably the best thing to do.
>>
>>3316434
>We need to find someone to help us, we can’t deal with her alone…
"No, I definitely don't have it in me to kill anyone myself. But we've tried everything I could think of, and if we don't stop her a lot of people are going to get hurt. We'll just... point someone who can handle this better in the right direction. I guess pacifism really can't win them all..."
>>
The arsonist would be a person who could help us. 3rd worst case scenario is that the Behemoth takes over the Arsonist. (2nd is on of Percy's mons, then 1st is Percy, but there would probably be a mental mind battle for control, Vicky & Percy vs the Queen.

>We need to find someone to help us, we can’t deal with her alone…
>We need to get stronger as well.

[Percy]: I don’t think we can solve this peacefully, but we can’t deal with her alone. We need to find someone

[Percy]: We need to find someone to help us deal with her, someone we can trust. If its possible, maybe we can find a way to keep her contained.

[Percy]: I don’t want to hurt anyone. But I won’t let her cause more pain. That’s why we need to gather powerful allies, and become stronger ourselves, so we can stop her, one way or another.

Loudred seemed unsure, but after hearing that you were still considering stopping her without outright killing her, even if it’s not probable, makes her feel calmer. Vulpix in the other hand seems more pumped than anything ”Yeah! I’ll become so strong! And then I’ll kick her insect butt!”.

Seems like she hasn’t grasped the gravity of the situation just yet.

As you make your way to the exit of the factory you met Houndour again, he just made a quick visit to his pack. He seems a bit, emotional? He’s trying to retain his serious demeanor but you can see his eyes are bit red and wet.
[Loudred]: Houndour-bro, were you crying?

[Houndour]: Of course not! I just, got something in my eyes.

Houndour must really miss his pack if meeting them again got him like this, Loudred tries to console him with soft reassuring pats, the fire type protest at first but finally welcomes the purple mon actions, seems like they’ve become closer.

While you let them have their little moment, you met Kadabra alongside your other Pokéfriends, Murkrow and Meowth, the four of you take the time to catch up with one another. It’s good to take your mind of things, specially when everything feels so serious.

Meowth has been really busy lately raising his newborn son but he still manages to find time to hang out with his pal Murkow, while the bird type has recently become acquainted with your sister, he’s surprised by how different the two of you are.

You would like to spend a bit more of time with them, maybe visit your family but you remember you got to met up with Eli. Your Pokéfriends are quite surprised by this.

[Meowth]: You got a date with a human female? That’s harder to believe than the whole giant Pokémon thing you were telling us!

[Murkrow]: You have any shiny trinkets to offer her? I’ll get some for you! You must not screw this up Percy!

[Percy]: Guys, calm down, it’s just a friendly outing, of two friends, who happen to be of opposite sexes.

[Mimikyu]: You sure about that Master? Maybe you should check your phone and confirm that.

Confused, you head Mimikyu's advice and take the mobile device out of your pocket and see something you didn't want to see.

[Murkrow]: Don’t let this chance pass Percy!

[Houndour]: This is dumb.

[Victoria]: Is it Percy? Is it a date?

There’s a small pause before she finally replies. During this lapse your Pokéfriends and your team could only look at you are sporting expression of disbelief and disappointment.

[Eli](ONLINE): You fuckin with me weirdo?

[Percy]: I believe we’ve never engaged in copulation before. So, no.

[Percy]:Sorry, you probably meant to ask if I was being serious, and I am. I know how calendars works.

[Eli]:Holy shit, just. Meet me at the Lacrimosa’s theater. I’ll be there in 20, don’t be late!

After that last message she signed off, you aren’t sure if that went well or bad.
[Meowth]: Well, I don’t think you’ll be able to get rid of that “V-card” thing you wanted.

[Murkrow]: I don’t know why I expected this to go differently.

[Victoria]: ….What?

Mimikyu looks genuinely worried at your decisions. It’s rare to see him so disheartened.

[Mimikyu]: Master… why? Don’t you, like this girl?

[Percy]: Oh Mimikyu, She couldn’t mean a “date” in a romantic sense. What girl would want to date me? That’s more ridiculous than the Missingno rumor.

You need to get ready to met Eli, with Kadabra’s teleportation it shouldn’t be much of a problem. There’s just a thing that you must attend first. What are you gonna do with your mons? You have to pay a ticket for each one of them. ($600 per seat.) The only ones who actually want to go are Vulpix and Kadabra, while the others aren’t particularly interested in going. You bid adieu to your poképals, promising to visit another time before teleporting back to Lacrimosa bay.

You decided to leave your mons in the care of someone trustworthy and responsible, and who could be more responsible than a pair of actual adults? Gareth said he was free after all.
You found the 20 something trainer alongside Professor Maple lazing around in the beach, he seems to be doing a good job at getting her to relax, he seems to be making her laugh while she rest on a hammock made out of string shot.

Asking Gareth if he could look out for your team for a couple of hours, he can’t say no.

[Gareth]:Sure, I’m up for some poke-sitting. You go have fun with Eli, she really needs it.

Vulpix is quick to protest, saying that she also want to go to the movies, and that she doesn’t need a “sitter” but she’s quickly distracted when Gareth asks your team if they want to build a sand castle.

[Vulpix]: Oh! Me! Me! I want to be the court mage!

For a moment you wonder what’s up with Vulpix and her affinity for magic.

Mimikyu also wants to go with you, to keep you safe, but you assure him nothing bad is going to happen, and that you need him to stay with the rest and help Gareth look out for them.

You hope Gareth can keep them out of trouble, Professor Maple seems a bit disappointed, she seemed to be enjoying her alone time with Gareth but she’s too relaxed to really care right now.

Abusing Kadabra’s teleportation one more time, you find yourself at the front of Lacrimosa’s bay most popular and concurred mall, he tells you to message Gareth if you need him to pick you up, and that he’ll be busy taking a nap, he seems dead tired from all the teleportation.

You got 20 minutes to scout the place in search for any threats, the main problem is that this mall is pretty damn big, and is chock full of people, also, you’ve left all of your team back at the beach with Gareth and the Professor! Right now, you are on your own.

After running around the mall, trying to be as sneaky as possible. Like a Keckleon blending with the background, unbeknownst to both predator and prey.
(Man you really wish you could change the color and shades of your skin at will, turning invisible is super cool, Kecleon are really cool, shit you are getting side tracked again, focus Percival, damn it!)

After getting your mind on track again, you sharpen your senses enough to discern a couple of strange things among the crowd.

The first one is a blonde girl, who’s been walking near the cinema for a while, trying to not gain much attention, you manage to recognize her, even though she’s wearing glasses and her clothing is way different from the usual. It’s Kali She seems to be on the lookout for someone or something. None of her Pokémon are present, she might be carrying them in their Pokéballs.
Besides her, there’s another familiar face you didn’t expect to see. A nervous girl who doesn’t seem to fit with the crowd wearing a black uniform, she’s accompanied by a Mareep who tries to ease her nerves. She also seems to be on the lookout for someone. Jeanne is here for some reason.
Beside this two, there’s are some actual threats hidden about, the first one is a group of Blackstone security goons in the food court, they don’t seem to be doing anything, just, eating lunch, but it could be good to be on the lookout, your grandpa. Their leader, is with them.

Also, in the same food court, Maximiliam Blackstone is hidden among them, he seems to be hiding his appearance with some sunglasses and a Hoodie to not attract much attention to himself. You can notice he’s hiding a black eye behind his sunglasses. You feel strangely glad at the thought of someone punching his stupid face.

>Let’s go with Kali and ask her what’s she doing here. Is she spying on you?
>Let’s go with Jeanne, why is she here? Is the arsonist around as well? Is she okay? Why does her uniform look so risqué?
>Carefully and silently approach the Blackstone goons and eavesdrop on them (Needs roll)

You still have a couple of minutes before meeting Eli, so you take the chance to check on Jeanne. After everything went down in Madeleine town you ended up feeling responsible for her being kidnapped by the Arsonist.

You take the chance to approach the nervous looking girl dressed in all black in a rather…revealing outfit, it’s hard to not glue your sight to her figure. Her nervous demeanor becomes aggravated at the sight of you, It’s like she’s trying to say a lot of things at the same time but ends up choking on her words.

She ends up holding her Mareep close to her chest to cover herself. She hugs her mon tightly while taking deep breathes in an attempt to calm down an reorganize her thoughts.

[Jeanne]: He-hello Percy, I didn’t expect to see you here.

[Jeanne]: H-how are you doing?

You got almost no time left, and a lot of things to ask her.
>Ask her how she’s doing, she isn’t hurt or anything? (You are really concerned about her)
>Straight to the point, is the Arsonist around? Where is he?
>Ask her what’s she is doing here? Try to be as casual as possible to not raise any attention. (Also stop ogling her you creep.)

We've grown closer to Eli than we have with Jeanne. She may be a good friend, but unless she outright and clearly confessing any feelings we're never going to think of as a romantic partner.
By the way, we should try handholding with both of them.

You can’t help but feel responsible for Jeanne’s current situation and you’ve been to busy and worried with all sort of things lately, the behemoths, White Veil, training, Victoria, watching anime, you really haven’t taken your time to figure out how to help her.

You just stare blankly at her for a moment trying to find the words to properly convey your worries.

[Jeanne]: Ehm, did you like the cookies I made? I was worried that they weren’t as good as your grandma’s….

You abruptly cut her off, with a rapid stream of questions, blurting out everything that comes to your mind.

[Percy]: Are you ok?Has he forced you to do anything you don’t want? He hasn’t hurt you has he? Are you eating well? You look well fed but I wanted to make sure, not calling you fat or anything. You look healthy, yes, healthy is a good word. Like a mon fresh out of the Pokémon center. It’s not like I noticed because I was ogling you, I was just carefully examining your body to make sure you ware all right, no other intentions there.

[Percy]: Shit, sorry, I’m rambling. I just, have been really worried about you.

[Jeanne]: No… he’s really scary but he hasn’t attacked me or anything. I just, clean up his place and go along with his plans…

[Jeanne]: Even though he keeps making me wear this kind of clothes for his “plans”. It’s really embarrassing…

[Jeanne]: Sorry, really, you don’t have too worry to much, I’m doing fine!

[Jeanne]:I’m glad to have a friend who cares so much about me!

Even though she’s clearly embarrassed by her current situation and taken off guard by your almost incoherent ramblings, she looks genuinely moved by the fact that you worry. While covering her body with her Mareep she offers you a heartwarming smile that only makes you feel worse.

Because you aren’t really helping her, you are just clearing your conscious off guilt.

After confirming that she’s doing alright, you try to excuse yourself and go back to meet Eli. But you are stopped by a couple of words.

[Jeanne]:…I don’t want to be a bother, but…

[Jeanne]: Could you stay a bit with me? I’m not supposed to move from here, until I get instructions from *him*, but some people have been…staring at me…

She is visibly shaken and uncomfortable.

Great, this is what you get for caring about others people feelings and well being.

>Be honest.

You answer the phone which has been ringing by a awhile, expecting to hear Eli, instead you are greeted by a less than pleasant female voice.

[Kali]:(PHONE) What the fuck are you doing? Eli is waiting for you, you moron and instead you have the gal to creep on some barely dressed strumpet-

[Percy]: Can’t be dealing with you right now. Goodbye.

You abruptly cut her off and hang on her and proceed to dial Eli’s number as fast as possible.
You decided to come clean, and explain her everything, you didn’t want to interrupt your little outing with her, but right now, you have a friend who needs you. You tell her about Jeanne’s situation as a hostage to the arsonist and how he seems to be forcing her into his plans.

[Eli]: (PHONE) Shit dude, why didn’t you say that earlier?

[Eli]: I wanted to catch a movie, but kicking some ass doesn’t sound bad either.

[Eli]:A’ight, who do I have to fuck up?
[Percy]: Just hold on a minute, I’ve got to plan this carefully.

You tell Jeanne you need to leave the mall as soon as possible, this is her chance to escape. And your chance to make things right. She seems unsure at first, afraid of the consequences of acting against her captor.

[Jeanne]: I know he’s flying around the mall, on his Aerodactyl. And he’s got other people surrounding the area. He’ll notice if I leave and you know, he’s a bit…impulsive.

[Jeanne]: And I don’t’ want him to hurt you, and I don’t want him to get hurt either…

Alright, time to plan your next course of action. Currently you got NO POKÉMON with you! They are all back with Gareth and Kadabra was so tired he’s probably passed out from all the teleporting you’ve made him do today.

Alright, time to plan your next course of action. Currently you got NO POKÉMON with you! They are all back with Gareth and Kadabra was so tired he’s probably passed out from all the teleporting you’ve made him do today.

Eli’s here, and you hope she’s got her team with her, also Kali’s around but you aren’t sure if she would be up to help you.

The Arsonist is surrounding the perimeter on his Aerodactyl, alongside an uknown number of trainers that are following him, the Blackstone goons and your grandpa are still on what seems to be a lunch break. Maximiliam Blackstone is with them as well, he seems to be getting off his seat and walking towards your direction.

What do?
>Convince Jeanne to flee, try to outrun them, escape the mall and head somewhere safe. (Escape plan)
>Search for a place to hide with Jeanne and plan further?
>Stay with Jeanne in place, tell Eli to come with you, let the Arsonist’s original plan happen and take him by surprise. (Surprise attack)
>Ask Jeanne what was the Arsonist’s idea and plan from there.
>Call the authorities and notify them of the Arsonist presence, stay with Jeanne and play it cool. (Call the cops)
>Tell Gareth to wake up Kadabra, (this might take a while)
>Ask Jeanne what she wants to do?

And tell Jeanne.

Crazy plan:

>1. Draw attention to Maximilliam.

Girls will fawn over him, and be asking him why is he wearing a disguise and what happened to his eye. It'll be on /pptg/(Pro Pokemon Trainer General)

>2. While everyone is distracted, call the cops.

Just to have them there since we have no Pokemon.

>3. Snap a pic of Grandpa in his Blackstone Uniform & and send it to Grandma.

Grandma will go Zubat shit crazy over Grandpa and he will probably have to pull away from his team of goons.

>4. Try to convince Kali & Jeaane to leave, if we can't convince Jeanne to leave. At least get Kali outside, force her braclet off and posses her if we have to.

Her getting hurt will be really bad for the Vicky route.

>5. Group up with Eli & gang, and move away from the location as fast as possible, let the cops handle it.

>6. Watch the news on the television, or go to sleep early and talk to Vicky and clear any misunderstandings.

This might be a little too hot to handle without any Pokémon at hand.

[Percy]:Alright. I got a plan. A great plan.

The first thing you do is call the cops and tell them the Arsonist is here at the mall, alongside an unknown number of trainers, you feed them on the details aided by Jeanne. Authorities say that they will arrive at the building in about 10 to 15 minutes.

You forward a message to Eli, telling her to be on standby, ready for anything. And finally contact someone you didn’t wanted to deal with. God damn it.

[Percy]:(PHONE) Kali.

[Kali]: How dare you hang up on me? You can’t imagine how hard was to convince her to dress up for a change! And then your autistic ass shoots her hopes down spouting some bullshit about calendars! You fu-…

[Percy]:Can we cut the crap for like two minutes? People are going to be in danger. I know you probably don’t care for anybody here, but I do.

You explain the situation to Kali as direct as possible. Her tone changes, stopping the nagging and actually listening to you.

[Percy]:So either lend me a hand, or go somewhere safe and don’t get in my way.

[Kali]: Alright. What do I do?

[Percy]:Wait you are actually going to help? I MEAN, send me your location, stay still and get ready for anything.

[Kali]: Got it. You better be grateful for this.

As Maximiliam walks past you, not even bothering to give you a glance, you let out of a sigh and hope everything turns alright, you just have to wait for the cops to show up, just a couple of minutes more….

In the meantime, you try to keep yourself clear of any suspicion, you could be in the sights of one of the Arsonist’s followers, you try to play it off by pretending to be continue talking on your phone.
>Avoided the attention of the Arsonist’s followers, no strange persons approached you.

You look at Jeanne who looks at Maximillian direction rather preoccupied, you guess he is probably involved in whatever the Arsonist was planning.

[Percy]: I’m sorry. For getting you involved in this, and letting him take you-
[Jeanne] Don’t-don’t say that, it wasn’t your fault, you didn’t know that that was going to happen--
[Percy]: It was! I had a choice! And I blew it up!
[Percy]: I tried not to think about it to much, because I feel too bad about it. I didn’t even check on you until now, even though I had your number sitting on my phone.

[Percy]: Goddamit, you don’t deserve this.

[Jeanne]Percy…
>>
>>3322124
As Jeanne tries to reply to you, you hear the sound of windows crashing, rocks falling from the sky unto the ground accompanied by the mighty roar of a prehistoric flying Pokémon. Riding him is a young man sporting a manic grin.

Various members of the crowd hurry to put on similar looking masks, from their belts they let their Pokémon free, various fire types start shooting “Smokescreens” while others throw “Smoke Balls” to the ground, they seem to be gathered around the different exits of the mall, blocking people from escaping.

The Aerodactyl swoops in Jeanne’s and your direction. The Arsonist drops to the ground rolling to avoid any damage from the fall. His slasher smile becomes disgruntled when he sees Jeanne and you.

[The Arsonist]: God dammit Executive Waifu-bait! We went over the plan like 10 times! Stop Maximiliam with your feminine charms, then loudly exclaim that he’s molesting you or something so we can attack him by surprise and look kind of justified for doing all this shit! Record it, go viral and attract new members!

[The Arsonist]: Now I’ve got to find his ass amidst the crowd, and our semi-justified excessive use of violence is just senseless violence!

[The Arsonist]: I mean, I prefer the senseless violence, but we really need new members.

Jeanne instinctively whines at the Arsonist scolding, it’s like a natural reflex for her. While her Mareep stands between the two of them, decided to protect her friends.

After ranting for a little the Arsonist spots, you, and once again starts to grain.

[The Arsonist]: Well, well, well, if it isn’t Mr. Hero himself, how’s life best-bud?

Behind him, his team looms over, a Houndour, Swampert, Primeape all seem ready to strike. While his Aerodactyl looms over your heads. He still got two Pokéballs in his belt, apparently loaded. The criminal leader sends a message to his group from what seems to be a military issued handheld radio.

[The Arsonist]: (TO HIS GROUP, VIA RADIO) Don’t let anyone out, start heating things up if necessary.

The Arsonist’s minions have started to try and make justice to this whacko namesake and have started to set things on fire near the entrance, while engaging in battle with the trainers among the crowd.

The Blackstone goons group leader by your paternal grandfather seem to be fighting as well, decimating the group located at the North of the mall, trying to clear the exit for civilians to escape, among the midst of things you can’t see where Maximillian went. But at least you know where Eli and Kali are.

You can’t afford to fuck this up.
You WON’T fuck this up.
YOU WON’T.

>lead The Arsonists towards the Blackstone goons.

[b][Percy][/b]: If you are looking for Maximilian, he was heading to the northern exit.

[Arsonist]: Alright, thanks for saving me the trouble pal. I know shit’s been awkward between the two of us, but it’s good to see you are still willing to help a brother out.

[Arsonist]: Executive Jeanne, come with me, I need you to work your magic.

The bastard is planning to use her as an hostage again so Maximiliam won’t refuse to battle him. The nervous Jeanne is unsure on how to act, she takes a step back but freezes in place.

She can’t oppose him, her only mon is her cuddly and angry Mareep, and she certainly can’t outrun the Arsonist’s mons. She looks at you, in search for a solution, but right now you can’t do anything to help her.

The Arsonists commands his Primeape to grab her and her Mareep with him by force and the mon obliges. Then he sends a message to his followers telling them to head to the northern exit.

[Arsonist]: Time to fuck shit up, you just sit tight and enjoy the show. And hey, our little team still has an open spot for you!

With a last loud cackle, The Arsonist, his team and Jeanne go trough the smoke heading towards the Blackstone group.

Following him is a group comprised of 20 trainers, all of them wearing black bandanas that cover most of their faces, they got their Pokémon out and are ready for battle.

There’s only one thing you can do right now. You message both Eli and Kali, telling them where the Arsonist is headed and instruct them to get the jump on him while he battles with the Blackstone security group. And to be careful with his hostage.

Not long after sending the message, you start to hear the sound of a battle growing more fierce and violent in the Arsonist’s direction.

The final confrontation is about to begin, you spy Kali and Eli making their way trough the crowd riding on the back of Kali’s Arcanine.

>Eli and Kali, jump on the Arsonist while he fights the Blackstone group and rescue the hostage.

>DC: 60 (To rescue Jeanne)

>80, successful pass

Eli forwards you a voice message informing their current situation. They managed to get Jeanne's out of the Arsonist's grasp thanks to Kali's Haunter, who used hypnosis on the criminal.

Right now they got their hands full battling against the Arsonist's group with the help of some of the Blackstone troops and your grandfather.

The arsonist group outnumber them, and even though most of them are just regular, mid-level trainers there's a couple of them that are actually quite strong on their own.

You call Gareth, to tell him to wake up Kadabra so he can teleport some of your mons to safety.

The older trainer responds that he'll do it as soon as he finds your mon. Kadabra returned to the villa alone, he's so tired he couldn't keep his psychic powers in check, causing headaches to everyone around him.

While you wait, the battle still rages on...

In his current condition, Kadabra can't fight but he can teleport two mons at best. Which one are you getting?

As you make your way towards the battlefield, Kadabra teleports a pair of your teammates to assist you in this confrontation. Houndour seems proud of being selected, ”Let’s give’em hell partner. ” While Mimikyu is ready to protect you at any sight of danger. “I won’t let anyone hurt you Master.”

The pair of mon seem glad that you've chosen them, they feel the trust you've placed in them.

>Mimikyu and Houndour feel a bit closer to you.

As you walks towards the northern exit of the mall, the smoke starts to become denser, the air is harder to breathe.

You arrive at the scene of chaos, there’s burnt debris everywhere. The Blackstone goons are trying to keep civilians out of harms way while dealing with the Arsonist’s followers. You paternal grandfather is currently ducking it out against a group of six of the hooligans, his Nidoking and Hariyama fending off a dozen of Pokémon attacking them at the same time. And the look on his old man face is just, unnerving. You’ve never seen him that happy. He’s sporting some almost maniacal grin that seems a tad familiar.

Kali and Eli got the Arsonist paralyzed and immobilized, the unstable youth can only scream and curse at his captors. “You bitches! Let me go! I was just getting started!”. They are fending off the Arsonist’s Pokémon, who are all trying to get his master back. Being attacked on all direction by a Swampert, Houndoom, Primeape, Lairon, Exeggutor and a Aerodactyl flying over their head blasting them with rocks.

Jeanne is being protected by Kali’s Arcanine. Trembling in a corner. Another group of seemingly lower level grunts are approaching her.

The Arsonist’s lackeys who aren’t battling against the Blackstone group are approaching Eli and Kali with their mons, demanding that they let their leader free. They got a Liepard, an Onix, a Nuzleaf, a pair of Slugma and a Magmar.

And surprisingly enough, Maximiliam Blackstone is here! Guess you didn’t lie to the Arsonist afterall. He’s not helping, he’s just sitting on a bench while sipping on a soda and eating chips.
[Maximiliam]: Don’t look at me, I’m not doing shit. It’s my day off.
The police should arrive at any minutes, you just got to hold them for a while!

Who are you going to fight against?
>Help Eli and Kali fend off the Arsonist’s powerful albeit uncoordinated team.
>Engage in battel with Arsonist’s lackey who are getting ready to strike at the pair of girls.
>Help your asshole of a grandfather out, distract the mons attacking him.

>Battle the Arsonist's lackeys and give Kali and Eli some room to breathe so they can fend off the Arsonist team.

This is not a battle, there's no rules you should stick to. There's no arena to delimit where are you fighting, no banned moves nor strategies, everything is permitted.

This is a fight. And god damn it, you'll do everything at your disposal to win this.

You set your sights towards the Arsonist's followers getting near Eli and Kali,

You tell Mimikyu and Houndour to focus in the Nuzleaf first, you are going to finish them off one by one.

You take your gun out of your bag and get ready to fire towards the air to caught your opponents off guard and distract their mons.

You can hear Kali complain loudly.

[Kali]:He’s got a gun? Why would anyone let him near a gun?!

You draw anger from deep inside, and get ready to try your hand at some “Poké-intimidation” to startle your opponents even further!

Now, roll for intimidation!
>DC: 65 to startle the Pokémon momentarily and strike first before they get a chance to react.
>DC: 70 to lower the enemy’s morale for the duration of the fight lowering their attack power!
>DC: 90 to get some of the mons to back off from the fight.

Roll me some d100.
Best of three!
+15 Bonus to the highest roll for firing some warning shot!

You also try to communicate with Victoria, she might be able to help you out with her powers. You just hope she’s listening to you right now.

[Victoria]: I am.

That’s great! You think you could help me a bit here? I’m in quite the situation. We are outnumbered and…

[Victoria]: I could help you. But, why should I help those girls? You are just doing this for her. They could die for all I care. Less distractions that way.

She’s sounds quite annoyed for some reason, but you can’t tell why.

For the last ten years, you’ve spent countless hours studying Pokémon behavior, honing your communication skills creatures. Imitating their sounds and way of communication to a point of near perfection.

You know what makes them afraid. Most Pokémon are combative by nature. But even they know when to turn away from a dangerous opponent.

Firing a single shot to the ceiling, you get everyone’s attention on yourself. From deep within your throat, a mighty, deep roar is let free. It’s an inhuman sound, that shakes both Pokémon and humans to their very core. You force your coal chords to their limit. Roaring like a mighty, vicious and violent Hydreigon. Threatening the attackers to rip them apart if they dare to lay a hand in your friends.

And it works! All of the Pokémon, excluding yours, Kali’s and Eli’s are on the edge, being wary of you. While the weaker mons instinctually retreats to their Pokéballs or flee from the premises. E ven if you are just a human, their instincts override their logic.

Most of the Pokémon surrounding Jeanne, Arcanine and Mareep flee. The Liepard and the pair of Slugma’s you were about to face in battle return to their Pokéballs as well. Only the Onix, Nuzleaf and Liepard remain.

The Arsonist’ own team have also been affected, the monster remains momentarily paralyzed by fear. Giving Eli and Kali a chance to gain the upper hand in the battle.

Meanwhile, your Grandfather has let all of his team free and is commanding them to attack everyone and everything on his line of sight. Hyper beams, flamethrowers, thunderbolts are flying in all directions. The old trainer and most of his team seem desperate and frenzied. The only one who’s keeping it together is his Slowking who’s currently trying to get his trainer to calm down.

[Grandfather]: YOU SOUTHERN BASTARDS, YOU AND YOUR FUCKING DRAGONS, I’LL DRAG ALL OF YOU TO HELL WITH ME!

Seems like your intimidation tactics have caused your paternal grandfather, a war veteran to go into one of his episodes.

You try to command Houndour and Mimikyu to strike at the Nuzleaf but your voice isn’t coming out, after that mighty roar you find yourself completely aphonic! Your throat is raspy, and it hurts quite bad.

At least you can still communicate with your team via sign language. “Poké-sign language” like the one the Gollet and Golurks use.

>Percy learned: Roar! But it hurts your throats every time you use it, causing you to go aphonic for periods of time.
>Scared away various of the opponent’s Pokémon and intimidated the rest of them making the battle easier for your allies!
>Your gunshots and Dragon-like roaring triggered the old man’s PTSD

And you still got a one more trick up your sleeve.

>Convince Victoria of helping you out with her psychic powers.
>Use her sister's safety to coerce her into helping.
>DC: 40

>>3319255
Well, that's an interesting question.

I can see Kali taking advantage of these urges (at first) like these anon said >>3319299, he's also correct on Jeanne's part.

But the one I believe could potentially bring out Percy's worst aspects afloat is Aleida, and Vice-versa, especially if she met Percy before he started making human friends, when he was more of a reject and latent misanthrope.

They could either go down a pretty dark path, or support one another to become better and more social.

There's also one more hypothetical path that would've probably messed up Percy real bad, but that would be spoilers.

The one working with Blackstone is Percy's paternal grandfather, whose wife died quite a while ago.

>>3327301
His writing and grammar and word use is still fucking shit, but the story has me hooked. The stuff about illegal drugs made from Pokemon isn't something I expected from this sort of quest, and it's good in that regard. The characters are somewhat meh outside of their usual tropes and shit, but a good chunk of them are above decent. It's not a bad fanfic/OC quest, all said, but it could still improve.
>>
>>3327287
I feel like an interesting character development curve for Percy would be
>rejected misanthrope autist who dislikes people and friends with mons
>autist friend to humans and mons, tries to see the best in people
>misanthrope autist who, while still friends with humans and mons and not as autistic as before, realized two things - one, not everyone is redeemable or can be helped; two, both people and mons are predictable - leading him to be a lot more jaded and calculating, but without losing his benevolence and core spirit
So in the end, he's not quite the pure "talk all your problems away" shounen protag, but not quite the hostile anti-human autist either. I think he'd be a lot more like the Arsonist than anything.
>>
I like the quest enough where I pay my friends to draw me stuff related to the quest things that happen. I think it makes QM happy to see Percy drawn.

The pair of girls are still fending off the barrage of attacks from the Arsonist’s team, stopping Aerodactyl’s attempts of rescuing his trainer. The Arsonist who’s currently *Paralyzed* doesn’t miss an opportunity to take a jab at you and the girls.

[Arsonist]: Nice roar bud! Almost shitted my bricks there!

[Arsonist]: You know? We were just going to jump that Maximiliam asshole record it and post it online. I wasn’t even planning in setting things on fire today! But this whole shitshow is way more fun!

[Kali]: Fun? Just what part of this is fun you maniac?

[Arsonist]: For starters, being paralyzed while being pinned down by two hot chicks is pretty kinky. Even though femdom is not really my thing.

[Eli]: Just shut up! Do you have an off button or something?

[Arsonist]: Sure I do! Just put those thick thighs of yours on my face! HAHAHAHA!

A flustered Eli proceeded to kick the Arsonist in the ribs while he forced a painfilled laugh.

In the midst of battle, you try your hardest to communicate once again with the psychic.

[Victoria]: Nice roar, almost uncanny to an actual Hydreigon. Can you do Meowstic next?

[Percy]: Maybe later! Victoria, please! I know you don’t care about the people here. I can’t force you to care for them.

[Percy]:But I know you care for Kali, and right now, she needs you, If she got hurt and you could’ve done something to prevent it, wouldn’t you regret it?

[Victoria]: You dragged her into this, I would hold you responsible for it.

[Percy]: So you’ll let her get hurt again?

[Victoria]: … what do you want me to do?

As your mons close in, a stray *Thunderbolt* shoot by your grandfather’s Nidoking barely misses Houndour, it packs quite the tremendous punch, getting hit by one of those, or any stray attack from the old man’s monster would definitely be a problem, they are older and by far way stronger than your team.

It's Eli. No contest. We WILL have that swimsuit scene before we leave Lacrimosa Bay or I will fucking riot. But honestly, I'd rather not have waifushit and shitposting decaying quest quality. >Houndour and Mimikyu: Partial pass.

Mimikyu uses his superior speed to deal the first blow, his appendages are quick to slash through his opponent. Houndour follows up as flames start to spew from his maw, enveloping Nuzleaf body as they deal SUPER EFFECTIVE damage to his wooden-like body, but his blast of flames comes to halt as a flurry of rocks is blasted his way. A stray “Rock Slide” from your Grandfather’s Tyrannitar headed in your mon’s direction. Houndour barely managed to dodge it in time.

The Nuzleaf is barely conscious, hanging on by the skin of his teeth, and ready to retaliate.

You can see the Onix starting to trash around as if he was fending off an invisible enemy before suddenly becoming rigid and unmoving. Victoria must have managed to possess him. As his companion, the Magmar, tries to see if his buddy is doing alright. The Onix suddenly envelopes him with his gargantuan stone body, squeezing the Magmar tightly, the fire type can only muster a pained “why” as the Onix starts to smack him around, hitting the Pokémon surrounding Jeanne, Arcanine, and Mareep.

This gives a chance of Jeanne to flee. To be more precise she’s forced to flee, as she stands there unsure of what to do, Kali commands her Arcanine to grab Jeanne and Mareep and get out of here, the large canine doesn’t waste any time and follows his trainer’s orders. Picking up Jeanne with his teeth and placing here in his back before running towards the east exit of the mall.

Noticing this, the Arsonist starts to freak out, screaming “No, no, no. Don’t go! I need you!” His voice communicates an honest feel of concern. Which is aggravated at the sight of his team being tossed around by the duo of girls. Their teamwork isn't too shabby, as they manage to overpower the stronger and fiercer monsters, keeping his Houndoom and Swampert at bay, and gravely damaging Primeape, Exegutor, and Lairon, and fending off the Aerodactyl. They got the upper hand in this battle.

Your grandfather and his veteran team of mons are still.

>Nuzleaf is in a critical condition.
>Onix is currently trashing Magmar around.

Hoping that Eli and Kali can deal with the Arsonist's mon by themselves you turn your attention to your grandfather.

Using body language, you tell Houndour to finish of the Nuzleaf, a quick “Ember” should be enough to do the trick, the only problem Houndour’s got is avoiding any stray attacks from the surrounding conflict.

Mimikyu turns his attention towards your grandpa who’s currently issuing an all-out assault on “Those, dirty southern bastards!” His Slowking is trying to make him come to his senses, but the chaos and commotion surrounding the old man are only aggravating his delusions.

Grandpa’s Nidoking and Slaking are currently tearing through the Arsonist followers, decimating any Pokémon that comes near them. While his Hariyama and Tyrannitar are fighting against the Blackstone security corps he’s supposed to be leading. Flying above them, your Grandfather's Pidgeot oversees the battles occurring down below, locating “enemies” and “potential threats” and informing his teammates of their positions so they can effectively deal with them. Seems like all of your grandfather’s Pokémon have relapsed as well, except for his Slowking.

Mimikyu should…
>Attack the Pidgeot that’s helping your Grandpa coordinate their assault?
>Go straight towards your grandpa, trying to avoid all of the chaos, and knock him out.
>Assist the Blackstone goons on their fight against Hariyama and Tyrannitar.

Percy is fascinated by Behemoths from a scientific perspective. He thinks their development and growth is incredible, and that they're creatures worthy of both respect and fear. Behemoths are the pinnacle of what a Pokemon can be, with all the gravity that carries.

I think Percy has some some degree of empathy for Kali due to what she's been though (and how that made her who she is now,) but that doesn't change the fact that either of us probably don't want to be around the other unless it's necessary. However, as we're proving right now, Percy and Kali can actually work well together if the situation is serious enough.

Concerning the behemoths, all of them have been, to some degree, violent and aggressive, so a sense of wariness is probably warranted. Even the Yellow King gives me some bad vibes.

I think percy is annoyed by kali but wants to find common ground with her. Also I think he's afraid of some of the behemoths and the kinda power they possess.

I feel like I haven't been around long enough to answer that but I'll try.

I think Percy is still disgusted with Kali's manipulative nature, but is willing to forgive her if she changes.

He's fascinated with the behemoths. I don't think he's scared of them as shown with the Yellow King.

Ironically, I think he might've learned how to be manipulative from her.
We've begun to recognizes that people aren't some unsolvable mystery. They do have strings and you can pull them.
Thankfully, no one has called us out on it. Kali would call us a hypocrite.
Eli would feel used.
Dick would distrust us.
Victoria would feel betrayed.
And Mimikyu would give us a round of applause for our genius.

Kali is a manipulative bitch, but she wasn't always a manipulative bitch and Percy knows this. There's some good in there Percy has seen multiple times now, that's no lie. Maybe she can change, but right now he would try to find some common ground in between the teeth-clenched teamwork.

Percy doesn't fear Behemoths. They're super cool and powerful and fascinating to watch them do shit. At the same time, Percy is also aware from the notes and research evidence that all of them are fucked up and massive threats. It's a blend of "oh wow so cool, imagine what this means for science and what we know about Pokemon!" and "even so, they still want to dominate and control people and mons against their will, which is shitty. they're useful, but only as long as they can be managed." I think he'd also be super paranoid about White Veil (as we the players have been) and question in his head why the Behemoths are the way they are.

What, they expected Percy to be an asocial autist the whole journey?

Kali hurt Percy right when he was trying to become more social and get over his autism so the wound runs deep. Also shitting on her is pretty fun. However she seems to have formed a friendship with Eli and I'm convinced there's more going on with how she treats Dick. She probably redeem herself at some point she just hasn't had the time yet.

With a quick burst of “Ember” Houndour swiftly deals with the Nuzleaf. Victoria, possessing the Onix is still constricting Magmar’s body and lashing out to any Pokémon unfortunate enough to get close to her living rock puppet.

The Arsonist, still paralyzed, desperately tries to crawl out with his unresponsive muscles in Jeanne’s direction “Don’t fucking go! Don’t leave me alone!” he screams while Eli manages to hold him in place.

A good portion of the crazed youth lackeys have started to flee the place, seeing that this battle has promptly turned into a small self-contained war which they are clearly losing, they scamper in all directions.

You instruct Mimikyu to scurry off trough the chaotic battlefield, get near your grandfather and knock him out with a light “Shadow Sneak”. Even though his comparatively small size and impressive speed makes him the mon for the job, he still has to avoid the oncoming flurry of attacks that will surely be directed at him once he tries to get near the troubled war veteran.

The sound of police sirens starts to grow louder and louder.

Now, roll me some D10s to attack your gramps!

DC: 7 (Only a partial pass is necessary to knock out gramps!)
>Mimikyu will become the target of Pidgeot, Tyrannitar and Nidoking attacks.

OOC: This will be probably my last post on this thread. Sorry for being absent this weekend, I’ve been chock full of social and academic obligations that ended up eating my time away. I’ll put a new thread up tomorrow!
