After saying your goodbyes, the two of you return to Vivi’s dormitory. You feed Sally her nightly snacks, before reaching under Vivi’s bed and pulling out her knife set & the box containing the Murtlap. Upon opening the box, you are satisfied to see that the rat is still tied down with sturdy rope and that its trap is shut.

“Is that the Murtlap Saul? Why is the mouth tied up?” Vivi asks.

“Someone told me that if the Murtlap bites you, magical flames will shoot out of your butt,” you say.

“It smells like fish,” says Vivi.

“So, it does…How do you want to go about in indulging in your pleasures tonight? Will you take the classical stabbing route, or will you play with your food?” you ask.

“I think I’ll go the classic stabbing route today, but I may play with it a little bit. I really want to sink my knife into its rubbery flesh, but also I want to have time to talk with you today Saul since we didn’t get to speak that much,” Vivi says.

Vivi picks a long-serrated knife from her set and places the box on her lap. She takes the serrated knife along the spines of the Murtlap and slowly cuts them off one by one as the Murtlap tries to scurry away but is being held down by both Vivi’s firm hand around its waist the ropes tied around its body assist as well. The spines ooze out water vapor as they are detached from the body, perhaps something that allows it to breathe on land for brief periods of time. She then cuts off the tail of the hairless creature and shows it in his eyes to strike fear into the ugly aquatic rodent. Stroking the belly of the Murtlap, the Murtlap’s belly starts to open up before reverse flipping the knife in her hand in between the Murtlaps face killing it, doing this action makes her really happy as she starts to breathe in the smell of the now deceased Murtlap, a new canvas that she got to explore similar to both of that of a rat and another aquatic creature.

“Thank you, Saul, for bringing me this, precious creature. The insides smell like fish though, which I don’t like but a fresh kill makes the stink absolutely divine, as a devilish smile appears on your mistresses face. I want to see what else we can find in the garden! Maybe the library has a book on magical creatures in the garden! We can pick one out together!” Vivi says.

“What has been on your mind lately? You seemed distracted today during Mercedes’s lesson, she asks."

“Well, first and foremost I wanted your approval of me, joining the Occult Club. I visited the people in the club, and they seemed very nice, and not shady at all based on some rumors I heard since we been here. The older prince is in the club as well. I do enjoy magic so I thought it would give me a chance to do something or spend my time there when I’m not around you,” you say.

“Hmmmmm, you don’t have to ask me for that Saul, I know that you might be bored when I’m not around and that you will need something to do, you can join. I know that you really like magic!” Vivi says as she pokes her knife in and out of the Murtlap.

“Also, there is one more thing I forgot to tell you,” you say.

“What is it?” she asks.

“Last night after you went to sleep, I went to the roof and met the headmaster of the academy.”

“You met the headmaster?! What did he say!”

You make a gesture towards your ears, to tell her to keep her voice down.

“He told me that he wants me to become an individual and I would learn about myself when I do, something like that. He also told me to come to his office later tonight, he wants me to pick a class from the catalog and take it,” you say.

“Saul do you know what this means?!” Vivi asks.

“No, what does it mean?” curious as to what Vivi could be coming up with next.

“You can take nobility etiquette with me and make the class more bearable,” Vivi says excitedly.

“Yes, great idea. Let me take nobility etiquette with you to make the class more exciting for you and miss out on the opportunity to take a class that would benefit me immensely in the future,” you say with a deadpan expression.

“Are you going to go now Saul, or do you want to see me off to bed?”

Exiting from Vivi’s room you make your way down towards the SouthWing of the Campus, a place you haven’t ventured so far since your time here. You decide to take this chance once more to use your enhanced hearing for any interesting rumors that may be floating about in the Academy.

As you stroll slowly through the hallway, you don’t hear much information that could prove to be useful, perhaps everyone is sleeping earlier than normal to attempt to adjust to the new schedule.

When you reach the end of the SouthWing you come across an empty receptionist desk, theirs is a note along with the current hours of which it is open.

Seeing the note attached to the hours of which the receptionist desk is open, you continue forward and start to escalate a long winding staircase, that doesn’t seem to end. Reaching the top of the staircase you find a door that says “HeadMasters Ozma’s Office”. You knock on the door.

“Who is it?” you hear a voice from inside.

“It’s Solomon, sir. I’ve come to speak to you about the class that I could take from the catalog,” you say.

“Oh yes, Solomon, come in,” Ozma says.

You walk into the Headmaster’s office, simple by what you were expecting. On the floor there the Uramal Academy Logo stretched out in a circle. On his desk is a stack of papers and books, you can see the headmaster wearing similar clothes as to what he was wearing the previous night, as well in his hand is a mug that says “#1 HeadMaster”. From behind the headmaster is a large window, you can see the full view of the academy as well as some twinkling lights from the city down below.

1. Saul will be able to improve his magical skills. Right now he's passable in elemental magic, with the fire sprites being his most advanced technique, but he could easily learn more spells if he had the time to focus on them.
Plus Saul has always been interested in magic, as seen with him organising the tutoring sessions with Mercedes.

3. Can help play matchmaker to Mercedes if she gets onto the Roland route.

All the classes aimed specifically at nobility (Master/Mistress of The House, Nobility History, Owing Land) are useless to him since he's both a servant and a commoner. Might as well take the general magic class to git gud at magic.

You leave the headmaster's office leaving the field studies professor to speak with whatever he was going to speak to Ozma about, he seemed like he would be able to catch you eavesdropping on their conversation. You start making your way back to Vivi's dormitory to see if she has gone to sleep or not. On the way, you try to listen for conversations once more, but it seems that mostly everyone has already turned off their lights and have gone to sleep. Soon you arrive at her room and open the door to find Vivi looking outside the window in a red nightgown.

"I'm back Vivi," you say.

Vivi turns around and looks at you.

"What class did you pick Saul?"

"I picked [Nobility Etiquette], you were right picking that class and helping you pass as a fine lady, and becoming a servant with nobility education would help you immensely in the future," you say.

Vivi looks at you and crosses her arms, not believing your story.

"Alright, I chose [Magical Studies] magic is interesting," you say"

"So you will be learning magic with Mercedes?" she asks.

"Well Mercedes is the TA for the class so I don't think I will be learning with her, the headmaster mentioned something about a [buddy system], something new they are adding this year," you say.

"Whoever you are paired with make sure that you introduce me!" Vivi says.

"I will, it's getting late now and you have two important classes tomorrow first impressions are everything, get some rest for tonite its been a long day," you say.

"I will Saul, thank you for today. Friday is a half day so we can invite Sally to the tea party! I haven't seen her in so long!" Vivi says

"Please don't remind me," you say.

"I don't look that bad Saul! I think I look fabulous," Vivi says as she spins around in her nightgown and places her hand on her hips.

Vivi gives you a hug, before turning and laying in bed.

You turn back and enter the door that leads to your room, you don't hear anything from the room that is next to yours, the person that lives inside is probably asleep as well. On your windowsill is the unopened book for [Fishing Holes], as well as some knitting equipment for Vivi's newer sized dress. There is also your comfy bed beckoning you to sleep.

You decide that its best that you lay in bed and get some rest after all first impressions are everything and having the chance to take a class at this academy is a large opportunity that you can’t afford to miss due to oversleeping. Changing into the white shirt that you sleep in you walk into your bed and start laying down until you hear a soft song coming from the girl in the room over.
