You strike at Hans, dealing 3 damage, everyone missing their strikes, except one of the spearmen, having abandoned their weapon for a grapple

You say this, then you are hit by Hans, who while actually hitting you, does no damage, this inspires axeman to swing, dealing 2 damage, while not much, is something, then the former maceman grabs you as well.

You are Grappled 2x, AC reduced further

I'm back, anyone here?
>>
>>3270729
Shit, sorry I'm so late
>>
>>3271238
Yeah, I start super early on weekends, Today I would like to ask, do you really think this quest should continue? I think it's going to move too slow and has too few players to properly function and has no direction whatsoever.

I will start a different quest after a bit, and write up an ending for this one if I do end this one, to give closure.
>>
>>3271295
Well, that's up to you, man. You're probably right in that the quest is too slow and has too few players to continue very long. It's fun enough to come back to it for a little while, but there's the issue with my time zone against yours.

Thing is, it's you who has to put the effort into this. It's very little work for me to enter a response every so often, whereas you're the QM and have to track enemies and plan out scenarios and stuff. It's very little reward when your only player is an English guy who's only here for an hour most of the time.

If you want to end this then it's fine with me, it was fun while it lasted. Besides, I'd play your new quest anyway.
>>
>>3271379
Thanks man, I'll write up the ending and give you the choice between 3 ideas I have, each directly relating to the time of the break I'll take between quests.
>>
>>3265200
The Axe Bandit drops his axe, allowing him to grapple you and rip your weapon away, then as you struggle to escape, are grappled by everyone but Hans. Hans goes over to the blacksmith's shop, grabs the biggest hammer he can find and goes to town.

He then gets the blacksmith, who had been staring on in horror to fire up the foundry and melt you down to ingots. Then the Paladins arrive, arrest Hans and the Bandits, and shove you in a vault.

THE END
>>
>>3271441
Now I got 3, count em, 3 Ideas;

Colossus Quest: Be an animated colossal golem, further detail determined in character creation. (short break, most mechanics are you smashing things)

Necromancer Quest: Be a Necromancer, specializing in various types of undead or magic, chosen in character creation(medium break, have to figure out magic system and deal with hordes of units)

Undying King Quest: Be a king in the northernmost reaches of the world that was cursed to have his line rule the throne forever, chilling in the ruins of your throne room until found by adventurers and restarting your kingdom. (long break, figure out pseudo-civ mechanics, then proper civ mechanics)
>>
>>3271478
>>3271379
>>3271441

You are the only player, so you should get a say.
>>
>>3271450
Aw shit, Hans was 2strong all along

>>3271478
Hey, Colossus Quest sounds pretty damn cool. However, I'd switch the "smashing things" part to a more story-driven quest (not to say no combat at all, obviously). Maybe we're a newly created colossus looking for others like us?

I think this will be the best in terms of combat because there's likely to be less drawn-out fights like the ones we had in this quest. If there are then they're probably gonna be with others of our species or some giant anti-colossus mech, both of which should be fairly rare and pivotal story points. I dunno, just throwing ideas out there.
>>
>>3271507
Everyone else held you down while Hans used a sledgehammer, if the fight had actually gone on you would have won unless the dice decreed multiple nat 1s were in order

Yeah, most of the mechanics for combat are for you smooshing things, occasionally fighting something your size. mostly story driven though.

Any questions about this quest that has just ended?
>>
>>3271524
Sure. Where was the quest headed, if only vaguely? Were we gonna find all the pieces of ourselves that had been turned to jewellery and stuff?
>>
>>3271534
Back when we were taken apart and put back together, I mentioned 3 tugging sensations, and one smaller but more intense one. I was, in fact, hoping for you to find different pieces of yourself to make upgrades.

Anything else?
>>
>>3271557
one was in the shed behind the shop, leftovers from making you.
>>
>>3271557
Ah cool. Nice to know where it was heading. Nah, I don't have any more questions, other than whether or not you'll be leaning towards larger posts typical of most quests on the site next thread. What about you?
>>
>>3271578
depends on what's happening, if it's a conversation or combat description, yes, if it's other things I'll give further detail upon askance.
>>
>>3271586
anything else?
>>
>>3271594
Nah, nothing, really. See you in Colossus Quest, QM?
>>
>>3271601
yeah, would you mind archiving this? I've already done the last 2.
>>
>>3271633
No idea how to, to be honest. I'm a relative newfag.
>>
>>3271639
So am I, I ended up working backward from a link to the 4chan wiki page on Old Man Henderson, found mention of /qst/ there, followed a link to the archive, and then clicked on the links to the boards at the top and bottom of the screen, with significant periods of time between each.

over on the left for the archive is a series of search bars and buttons to activate them, below that is the button to archive a thread
>>
>>3271650
>>3271639

I'll do it though, don't worry
