A fantasy RPG
>>
You step back into the tavern and join up with your companions to celebrate your recent victory. Alina follows in after you and takes a seat with Shawel, Shornas and Ulric. The clone children are upstairs locked safely in one of the bedrooms you hired.
You sit down and share a few rounds and now it's well into the evening. You've been entertaining the idea of inviting Shawel to join you as a party member. You're also very conscious of the kids. They are no longer connected to Whatever spell book(s) they were using back at their home so they shouldn't be able to cast any spells but they're quite distrustful of you.

Talk to Shornas, this is the autistic necromancer that wanted to loot enemy leader, right? Ask if he found something interesting in the severed arm, maybe a ring or something. Just to know and out of curiosity, it is rightfully his.

You take scooch over to Shornas, the guy doesn't really seem built for conversation but you try to engage him.
>"Hey Shornas"
Shornas: "huh?"
He looks up at you moderately surprised then redirects his gaze to the mug of milk in front of himself.
>"So Shornas, I was wondering did you find anything interesting on Azahl's arm? I mean we agreed you could take his belonging but you missed out."
Shornas: "Nah nothing, I really wanted his stuff because I knew he was some expert necromancer and probably had a cool collection of magic items like that rod of spell stealing. He probably had a Relic too... aww man."

>"...nevermind then."
You decide to change the subject to necromancy he should be comfortable talking about that.
>"So can you tell me a little bit about necromancy? I know it's regarded with suspision or even contempt in some places."
Shornas: "Well you know it's one of the 8 draconic schools and umm it's often coupled with the natural science of biology. Those bad necromancers we just fought in particular published a lot of scientific journals about it."
>"You knew about them before we met?"
Shornas: "I didn't know they lived in Aflor. I just read some of their stuff and when I joined with your team I realised they're the same people."
>"Right, so why did you get into necromancy don't take this the wrong way but you seem different from most necromancers I've met."
Shornas: "Yeah lots of necromancers come from weird isolated temples that teach karate or something, I just went to a wizarding school in Aramoor and picked necromancy because I found it the easiest."
>"One more thing, you said that zombie fish are possible right?"
Shornas: "They are but they're not very good, they decay real fast and don't swim very well. Sharks, jellyfish, mussels and giant sponges can be zombies too, they're not very good either."

Back home you have a few female colleagues. Their heads are shaved just like all the other Uthanian abjurers, over time you've gotten quite good at distinguishing a female face from a male one. Shawel cunningly hides her cheek bones behind her helmet but you can see through her. For some reason or another she's masquerading as a man, knowing this you decide to have a little fun with her.

>"Sooooooo Shawel. What kind of ladies are you into?"
Her resting war-face vanishes, replaced by a stunned look.
Shawel: "Wh- uh. Could you repeat the question?"
>"What kind of girls do you like?"
Shawel: "aha well"
She quickly scans the room taking a glance at Alina and then Ulric.
Shawel: "...I like girls with brown hair."
>"Oh yeah? What else?"
She shuffles her feet.
Shawel: "Erm. You know. Big breasts and thick hips."
>"Ah I see you're a man of culture. Do you have a wife Shawel?"
Shawel: "No."
>"Do you ever think of getting married?"
Shawel: "y-yes. But um let's talk about something else for now?"

You ask her about her exotic form of spell casting, she gladly indulges you.
Shawel: "For most of history humans have used the spell casting style taught to our ancestors by the dragons of old. In fact so many facets of human civilisation are more or less what dragons dictated to us 1000s of years ago. But elemental magic is a new form of spell casting created by humans! It represents a future where we no longer live under the shadow of dragons, one where we control our own fate! Draconic spell casting is very technical and rigid, but elemental casting is more artistic and spiritual. It may seem a bit limited now, but the style is barely over 100 years old, this is only the beginning."

You talk with her some more before eventually moving on to the question.
>"Shawel, how would you like to join me on my quest? Travelling with me, Ulric and Alina."
Shawel: "I would be honoured to fight by your side."
>"Great! We can go over the details tomorrow. Welcome to the party Shawel."

Now that that's taken care of you remember Kalim is coming tomorrow morning to take the clones. You agreed to let him take them but has since had seconds thoughts about it. And if you reject Kalim you'll have to find another way to get the children to Uthain.

Is there anything you want to do before the next morning?

>Wait till morning

Personally, I'm fine with Kalim taking the kids. The logistics of us taking them to Uthain ourselves sounds like an utter fucking nightmare with none of them trusting us and one of them actively hating us.
>>

>The logistics

Your right though, as bad as I feel about the kids being pumped back into the cycle that created them we cant do anything about it. We have our own kingdom and people to think about.

Although it just feels wrong.

The following day you meet Kalim outside. You reluctantly decide that allowing him to transport the children for you is the best option and take him to the room you're keeping them in.
You step inside.
Kalim: "Is this all of them?"
It certainly doesn't look it, some of them are missing.
Uphi clone: "Mr Christof! Ricon*, Anior**, and Ebelle*** ran away."
>"Edis... seriously? How did they even get down from here?"
Kalim: "Do you know where they were going?"
Olin clone: "Trying to go home."
Kalim: "Not good. They aren't natural navigators and those woods are dangerous at night. Christof, can you help me track them down?"

It'd be one thing if they ran away across town, but kids and murderswamps don't mix.
We can't let Kalim go alone either.
Maybe we'll get to watch Eicon get eaten by a snake.

Urge to daughterfu RISING.

Brain: compensating...
...

Take over the wizard head quarters and use it as a base of operations. Shame to let a well built fortress go to waste. Maybe let the kids stay there instead and offer kalim a job watching over them.

If I remember from the map, the fortress is in a key position to see lots of travelers from Aramor/Clarcton/Malgrove castle looking for a place to stay the night. We could make cash converting it to an Inn if we invest the reward money and maybe sell some of these artifacts. If we let these kids get pumped into the system they are going to end up just like their sires.

They also mentioned that some of the clones were budded off from captured civilians. Maybe some of these people would want to adopt their own little clone? How do you say no to someone who is you?
>>
>>3254971
Eh, it's not exactly a well traveled route. Surroundings are dangerous. And, oh yeah, we're supposed to be seeking a wish granter, not starting an inn/whorphanage!
>>
>>3254971
I like your brain and initiative though.
>>
Disregard kids. Acquire wish granters. The kids will only slow you down, remember your task
