Just a quick update, due to some last minute plans I won't be able to post reliable for the first couple hours or so, but I'm still posting this just to get the thread up, so just bear with it for a little while!
---
In the far future, biotechnology advances by leaps and bounds, creating stunning achievements in medical, civil, and military applications. Illness becomes a thing of the past, and genetic modification is as commonplace as cosmetic surgery.

However, like all great advances, unchecked progress and experimentation has led to abuse and corruption. Ultra powerful megacorporations that monopolized the latest biotech have risen to be the great powers of the age, waging secret wars of sabotage, espionage, and deceit to get ahead of each other.

In order to fuel their rampant growth, megacorps develop lethal diseases and viruses, horrific bio-organic abominations, and ever more exotic genetic modifications to both sell to the highest bidder and unleash upon each other.

The rampant proliferation of bioweapons, and the need to contain them, has given rise to a new profession, the BIOWEAPON HUNTER.

You are LEWIS, a Hunter specializing in hunting down biological threats with your T-Doll companion HK!

Currently, you were being pursued by a police T-Doll who seemed hell bent on apprehending you under any means necessary.

To be fair, you did antagonize her quite a bit, but that was sort of the whole point of this little exercise you were participating in. You take another look in your rearview mirror, and grimace when you see Grizzly still on your tail, the lights and siren on her bike blinking and shrieking as she slowly but surely closes the distance between you. Her eyes were hidden behind those mirrored sunglasses she was wearing, but you didn't want to know what they looked like at this point anyways.

Currently, you were driving down a long, wide street. Beside a few parked cars, it was basically a straight shot down. You could attempt to outrun Grizzly and get out of her sight. Alternatively, you could swing into one of the many narrow side streets and alleys and attempt to break contact that way.

Your final option was to use some of your collected toys. They were nonlethal for the purposes of the exercise, of course, but would still pack a punch nonetheless.

Well, no sense letting any of these neat toys you got going to waste. An officer had to be prepared for anything, after all.

The machine gun was good for pure suppression and apitting out bullets, but you weren’t sure how an armored T-Doll like Grizzly would handle it. The shotgun was easier to handle, but that grenade launcher had more oomph, even if it would be a pain to reload between shots...

Wait, Merc. Why don't we have a revolving grenade launcher?
>>
>>3244959
The only weapons that we'll probably have to worry about are either heavy machineguns that can be shouldered or fired from the hip, or auto-cannons and 20mms.
>>
>>3244989
Because the M-79 has wooden furniture
>>
>>3245113
Wooden furniture is fine when we have someone else to drive for us. When we're one-handed blind firing from a window, we want something that can fire more then one shot before we have to toss it in the backseat and grab another gun.
>>
>>3244945
You teach for the trusty grenade launcher, an old fashioned break action with a wooden stock. Honestly you’re surprised the RCPD would have such an antique lying around, but you weren’t complaining.

It already had a round preloaded, so all you had to do was pick it up and point it out the window.

Meawhile, Grizzly was still keeping pace with you on her motorbike.

“PLEASE STOP THE CAR.” She yells over the roar of both vehicle engines. “YOU HAVE FIVE SEC-“

However, the moment your raise your grenade launcher and fire, Grizzly reacts with literal inhuman reflexes. You're barely pulling the trigger when Grizzly draws her sidearm. The loaded grenade barely even leaves the barely when she fires.

The next few seconds are a literal flash and blur, but the best thing you can figure is that Grizzly literally shot your grenade the moment it left the barrel of the launcher, causing it to explode prematurely. The shock and flash of the explosion causes you to lose control of your car and it slides off the road, smashing into a lightpost.

As one final insult, the airbag explodes, pounding you in the face. Your crystal skin unconsciously hardens to protect you from the blow, but it still stings in more ways than one.

You hear the police bike screech to a halt and the crunch of boots on pavement as Grizzly dismounts.

"EXIT THE VEHICLE WITH YOUR HANDS UP." She demands. "YOU HAVE THREE SECONDS TO COMPLY."

"All right, all right, I give up." You say as you exit your car, hands raised. "You did pretty we-"

However, you're interrupted when Grizzly practically tackles you and pins you down on the ground as she handcuffs you.

"YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO REMAIN SILENT!" She continues to yell. "ANYTHING YOU SAY OR DO MAY BE USED AGAINST YOU IN A COURT OF LAW."

"All right, that's enough." Lucina says as a loud horn blares, signalling the end of the exercise. "Grizzly, stand down."

Grizzly pauses for moment before raising her sunglasses back up.

"ARREST MODE OFF." She says as she does so. "Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry, was I too rough?"

"Don't worry, it's not nearly as much as he deserves." Lucina says with a sly grin as she walks up to the both of you. "Good work, Grizzly."

"Thank you, Chief!" Grizzly stands up and salutes, finally unpinning you from the ground.

"So, Lewis." Lucina asks, the amused grin still on her face. "What's your evaluation?"

"Well." You grunt as you get up to your feet and start brushing the dust off your coat. "I think she's WAY overqualified for 'patrol work.' She seems more like a full on military spec T-Doll or something!"

"My assessments concur with that conclusion." HK adds as she makes her way onto the scene. "Grizzly's performance far exceeds what would be expected of a civilian T-Doll."

"Um, is that a bad thing?" Grizzly frets.

"Hm, that is a good point." Lucina nods.

"She was also a bit too quick to escalate and go into her 'arrest mode'." You point out. "Clearly, whoever programmed her doesn't know much about how police are supposed to operate in the field."

"Evidently." Lucina nods and gives a smug smile at you. "Still, it was worth seeing her kick your ass. I think I'm keeping her just for that."

"What fair and neutral grading criteria." You sigh.

"Still, I suppose you do have a point about her programming. I might pair her up with Barry. Give him something to do."

Oh boy, this little robotic firebrand paired with Barry? That would be a sight to see.

"Okay, Grizzly, you're on standby." Lucina tells the T-Doll and looks to you. "Okay, we're on our third and final exercise. You sure you don't want a break first?"

"A lot of things, actually." Lucina's face wrinkles in dismay. "But I guess we can suffer it together."

With that, Lucina motions for you and HK to hop into a nearby SUV, which she uses to shuttle you back to the main campus. Grizzly returns to her bike to head the base camp as directed.

This drive is a little quiet at first, but Lucina finally speaks up, breaking the silence.

"So, Lewis." She starts. "What do you think about more T-Dolls being put in the RCPD?"

"I'm not sure I'm the best person to ask that, on the account of being on the wrong side of the bars a little too often." You remind her.

HK’s like a little sister to us, but the fact that she’s programmed has always been sort of a red flag? I don’t discount their personal integrity, but the notion that that could be changed by others with possible ulterior motives gives me pause.
>>
>>3245688
>>I think it's a good idea.
Overall a good thing to adapt to the changing times. Less potential casualties for the more fragile humans, more cost-efficient police forces compared to hiring normal people, and their good looks certainly don't hurt in making the police force easier on the eyes while gaining better response from the average civilian.
>>

While it looks like with T-dolls you would have fewer officers on the streets, they still function the best with human input. "It's.. complicated, HK." You sigh. "I trust you, but I'm no so certain about other T-Dolls, especially if they have different designs and functions. They can't all be the same as you, right?"

"Correct." HK nods, apparently a bit happier now.

"We'll keep a close eye on them." Lucina assures. "Nobody is ready to let T-Dolls run around independently just yet."

"Good to know you're still on top of these things." You grin.

Finally, the three of you reach the main campus building, and Lucina leads you in. Thankfully, you don't really see many other people, many of the cadets already in class or attending to other duties. That meant the lunch line to the mess was practically nonexistent.

However, maybe that was for good reason, when you finally set up to the counter and see the main course is.... mystery meat.

"Oh no." Lucina sighs. "Wonder what they put in it today..."

"Scanning." HK's eyes flash for a moment. "ERROR. Composition of subject matter unknown."

Well that's just great.

"Well, what's the worst that can happen?" You wonder as you pick up a plate of the mystery meat.

"Guess we can suffer it together." Lucina sighs as she takes a plate of her own. "Honestly, I completely forgot to get this crap off the menu..."

You and Lucina find an empty table while HK stands watch. Both you and Lucina just look at the brown... gunk on your plates and then each other awkwardly.

"Let's... dig in, I guess." Lucina says with the resignation of a death row inmate.

"Yeah..." You say as you cautiously scoop some of the mystery meat up with a spoon and take a bite...

You work the "meat" around in your mouth and your absolutely amazed at how.... utterly bland it was.

No, seriously, it was the sort of blandness that you couldn't just get on accident. Either whoever made this was trying to achieve this lack of taste deliberately, or there was some really weird and unlikely set of circumstances that led to this outcome. Well, either way, it didn't seem to be harmful to you. For now, at least.

"This came out a lot better than I expected." Lucina sighs in relief.

Wait, this was a better outcome...?

"Anyways, I suppose we should finalize what we should put our last T-Doll through." Lucina continues as she reluctantly swallows another spoonful of mystery meat. "As you know, our third T-Doll is a heavy type. Built to be more resilient than the standard T-Doll in order to perform tactical assaults and breaches."

"So you want a scenario that can draw out all of her strengths." You conclude.

"That's right." Lucina nods.

DRUG BUST: A standard raid on a criminal hideout. No bystanders expected.

HOSTAGE RESCUE: Criminals are holding a hostage in a fortified location. The hostage must be rescued at all costs.

RIOT: There's chaos in the streets as a full blown riot breaks out. The crowd must be controlled and the streets cleared.

"So... this is her?" You wonder as you look at the heavy T-Doll in question.

"Is there a problem?" Lucina raises an eyebrow.

"Well uh, I just figured she'd be a little... thicker built." You try to keep your words diplomatic. The T-Doll in question, the Krupp Steel Gynoid , looked rather lithe and streamlined, slightly moreso than even HK.

"My combat frame is constructed out of a proprietary neosteel alloy that is seven times stronger per ounce than standard armor plate steel." KSG replies simply. "Due to the increased level of protection, there is no need to expand my dimensions beyond that of a standard T-Doll frame."

"It appears that she's optimized to carry external equipment as well." HK points out.

You look to a nearby work table, where you could see what looked to be two large riot shields mounted on a pair of articulated arms, connected by a single belt that presumably attached around KSG's waist.

"Correct. The additional external armor pack increases my level of protection by an additional 700%." KSG remarks, like straight out of a brochure.

"Which is what we're here to test." Lucina says as she chimes in. "So, Lewis, what sort of threat level should we throw at her? I got some STARS members willing to stand in as the opposition, but I can easily throw in a bunch of cadets who can use the experience. Either way, we'll have the other team serve as KSG's backup.

[[BATTLE MODE ACTIVATED. ENGAGE AT WILL, HK.]]

Your combat HUD activates as your visual sensors take in new data. Numbers and lines of code discernible only to you begin to light up as the datalink with your weapon activates, feeding you everything from its weight, remaining ammo capacity, down to the micrometers of deflection in the barrel. Visual recognition software also begins tagging items and areas of interest, the largest being that of the other T-Doll, KSG. The heavy T-Doll had her external armor pack on, the pair of heavy shields hovering just off to her sides. In her hands was a heavy shotgun, an ideal weapon for her frontline shock role.

"Are your systems nominal?" KSG asks calmly. "Your wireless datalinks aren't accepting my handshake protocols."

You pause. You were always designed to operate independently, or at least solely with human oversight. It had never occurred to you how much data you were permitted to share with other T-Dolls, especially those from different manufacturers. From your experience, ST-AR and SOPMOD didn't seem interested in it either, making KSG the very first to as a query like that.

Actually, were you even compatible with KSG?

But... Lewis' simulated well being was at stake here. You didn't want to disappoint or embarrass him, either.

While you had some reservations about accepting datalinks from unknown T-Dolls, your desire to assist Lewis took priority and overwrote your concerns.

"My apologies, my external datalinks are shut off as standard electronic protection protocol." You explain to KSG. "I am accepting your handshake protocols."

It only takes a fraction of a second to open up your datalink as an alien set of data rushes into you.

The initial flood of data is overwhelming, but your processors are able to quickly adjust and compensate, gulping all the new information in and analyzing it, converting the foreign code into a language your own system can understand.

Immediately, your HUD markers around KSG transform. Rather than simple visual tag, your HUD now read out all of KSG's vital data. Her structural integrity, power reserves, weapon ammo count, sensor coverage, and more. You also had a more innate understanding about the options and limitations of her speed and range of movement. You had no doubt that KSG likewise was receiving similar data about you.

<Okay, since it's just the two of us, I think we can safely assume we'll be heavily outnumbered on this operation.> KSG says through the datalink, magnitudes faster than having to vocalize it. <Operational area seems to have limited points of entry.>

KSG then shares her how sensor feed to you, showing you a rather modestly sized office building, three stories high.

<Current location of the hostage is unknown.> KSG remarks. <Number and distribution of hostiles unknown. Recommendations?>

<I'll conduct preliminary reconaissance.> You inform KSG. <Standby until then.>

<Understood.>

You immediately move out, making sure to stay out of line of sight of any potential sentries or guards. As you close the distance to the target building, your radar pings and beings building an approximate map of the surrounding area. There was a walled courtyard to one side of the office building that would allow you to get directly adjacent to the exterior wall, which would allow your remote sensors to get a read of the interior. On the opposite end, though, was a taller building some distance away. It provided a good vantage point for both surveillance and shooting, but it would isolate you from KSG if either of you needed support.

You decide to swing wide to enter the courtyard. Your visual and motion sensors don't detect anything, so you're fairly certain that your approach would be safe. It's a simple matter to quietly enter the courtyard and post up right at the foot of the wall, making it difficult if not impossible for anybody inside the building to spot you.

Now, with a combination of your deep penetrating radar, infrared, and EM sensors, you could build a rough picture of enemy positions and movements inside the building, but if the opposition was smart, they'd have set up countermeasures to remote sensing.

You may have to risk trying to get visual confirmation of your targets.

Unfortunately, you cannot determine the exact location of Lewis, but you could narrow it down. He certainly wasn't on the first floor, as it looked to be a rather open lobby area and not a secure area to hold a hostage at all.

You also were able to determine that the dozen or so hostiles patrolling the first floor looked to be rather inexperienced, so they had to be the cadets. Most likely the STARS members were on the upper floors directly guarding Lewis.

<Enemy positions updated.> KSG says as she views your recon data through the datalink. <I can breach the first floor with no issues. The small arms they're carrying are incapable of penetrating my armor.>

<I'm aware." You reply. <Forces in reserve may have heavy ordnance.>

<Then I'll be relying on you to neutralize them." KSG says. <What is your course of action?>

Your logic circuits begin to run. You could link back up with KSG and you can breach together, or you can use KSG as a distraction to bypass the majority of the guards and go directly for Lewis.

<Hold position until I can link up with you.> You tell KSG as you quietly disengage. It didn't seem anybody noticed your presence.

KSG herself is posted across the street just out of sight, so linking back up with her was no issue.

<I'm ready to breach.> HK informs you.

<Move. Keep your sensors linked to mine.> You instruct.

<Roger.>

With that, KSG breaks cover and moves forward, her shields raised in a defensive wall in front of you. With your targetting linked to KSG's visual sensors, you don't even need to hold your weapon conventionally, instead raising it above your head over KSG's protecting wall and firing precision bursts at the guards posted externally. Theyr'e quick to go down to the simulated rounds as KSG continues to lumber forward. Rifle barrels jut out of windows and start firing, but the rounds ping harmlessly off of KSG's armor plating. Even though these were weaker simulation rounds, KSG's readouts were showing practically zero damage, even under "simulated" conditions.

KSG, however, is not content to just let you take all the "kills". She raises her shotgun and starts firing as well, filling the windows with buckshot and forcing the hostiles back into cover.

<We're on the clock now.> KSG warns. <They might neutralize the hostage if they believe they have no chance of escape.>

<I have no intention of letting them do that.> You reply as you scan the first floor. <No hostiles detected on this floor.>

<Our only entry points are the stairs or the elevator shaft.> KSG informs you. <Both are most likely booby trapped and guarded.>

<Correct.> You concur. <But you should be able to brute force through them with your specs.>

<Alternate suggestion. We scale the building exterior.> You say. <Your additional manipulators should make it easier to climb.>

<I think you're right.> KSG nods as her shield bearing arms twitch ever so slightly. <I can get us up there quickly, but we'll be vulnerable if they spot us.>

<Let me worry about that.> You assure her.

You and KSG quickly hustle outside. You hook at arm around KSG's waist as she uses her regular and shield arms and two legs to punch hand and footholds into the wall and swiftly scale straight up to the third floor.

Meanwhile, you check the status of your external shoulder mounted grenade launcher, which was still operational. Perhaps you should fire a few flashbangs into the third floor to keep them suppressed, but doing so would definitely give away your approach if you did it too early.

While surprise is nice, this part of the climb is especially vulnerable due to how the manipulators with shields are used as limbs and not protection. Thus better to prevent anything from hindering progress than to care about resistance that can be dealt with full effectiveness when they've got their footing by getting to the floor they need to reach safely.

You immediately start off by firing a volley of flashbangs into the third floor, and the entire level explodes with light, keeping anybody up there from being able to fire down on you and KSG.

Finally KSG reaches the third floor and leaps through one of the shattered windows, locking her shields into defensive stance once again. Your linked senses warn you that there were another dozen hostiles on this floor, all of them heavily armed. No doubt they were all STARS members.

Despite being flashed, they had enough time to form a tight protective perimeter around Lewis, half of them being dedicated to keeping him separated behind a riot shield wall.

The rest had various small arms, but there were two in particular that you had to worry about. One STARS member had an automatic grenade launcher and the other an actual rocket launcher. Were police allowed to even wield something like that? Regardless, they were the biggest threats. The grenade launcher could arc over KSG's shields, becoming a large threat to you, and you were certain that KSG's armor couldn't resist an armor piercing rocket that well.

<I can draw their attention while you recover the hostage.> KSG assures you. <He's essential to mission success.>

Explosive ordnance indoors? Really?

Going into close range should be enough to keep them from firing, no?

Agree with KSG. She's got this, so focus on the more fragile hostage over the walking tank that was built for this.

You fire several bursts at the two STARS members, but they prove to have quick reflexes. The grenade launcher wielding STARS member quickly launches a trio of grenades before diving into cover while the rocket launcher stands his ground and fires his rocket directly at you.

KSG, thankfully, is quick to react as well, interposing herself between you and the STARS members, both shields up and locked together. There's a heavy blast and a cloud of smoke.

<Shield integrity reduced by 64%.> KSG warns. <Resistance against second volley unlikely.>

She then opens up her shields just enough to fire several shotgun blasts, but now the rest of the assorted STARS members were returning fire, bullets plinking off KSG's shields and body.

It's also then that you notice the shield wall was on the move, along with Lewis, heading straight for the stairwell. They were trying to evacuate him!

You couldn't fail Lewis. Not again...

Your suppressing fire is just enough to keep the heavy STARS members from being able to shoot, and KSG does her job warding off the rest of the incoming fire long enough you can make a dash for the shield wall. Even if they were STARS members, they were still human, and you have no issues batting them aside and picking up Lewis.

"About time." He quips. "It was starting to get a little boring."

"We're not clear yet." You remind him as you gauge your surroundings.

KSG was still attracting the majority of fire, keeping herself between you and the rest of the active STARS members. Meanwhile, you were detecting numerous movement signatures heading up the stairwell, no doubt the guards posted on the second floor.

<Armor integrity failing.> KSG warns as another volley of grenades explode around her. <You should get the hostage out of here.>

Can’t we withdraw the same way we got in? Especially if the enemy backup is coming via stairway. In that case KSG can escort the hostage while we cover them with fire.

<KSG, we're evaccing. I'll cover you.> You tell her as you circle back, firing off the last of your flashbangs. Even though preserving KSG wasn't a specific directive you, well, you didn't like the idea of leaving a fellow T-Doll behind.

<Roger. Withdrawing.> KSG responds as she starts stepping backwards.

"Oh no, don't tell me-" Lewis groans, but he doesn't have the chance to finish before you take a running leap out the window.

Normally extremely hazardous to regular humans, a three story fall was nothing to you as you land on the ground below, your artificial legs easily absorbing the shock. KSG lands behind you, and you note a little wryly that she stumbles as she lands, clearly not designed to drop from height.

At that moment, a bell rings, signifying the end of the exercise.

"Excellent work, you two." Lucina claps casually as she walks in from wherever she was observing from. "You two can go standby while I debrief Lewis here."

"Hey, what do you mean debr-" Lewis doesn't finish was he's dragged away by Lucina, still tied up.

Lewis and Lucina were just so odd. You could never understand what they were doing half the time.

"Operation concluded, severing datalink." KSG reports. "You did well, HK."

"You did well, too." You nod to KSG. "I have to admit that not even my frame could withstand that level of damage, even if it was only simulated."

"It's my function, after all." KSG shrugs. "Actually, while I was datalinked with you, I noted something curious."

"Oh?" You raise an eyebrow. "Are you implying there's some sort of fault in my programming?"

"Nothing like that." KSG shakes her head. "Just an observation. You seem to dedicate an inordinate amount of processing capacity and flash memory to your human partner. Is there a reason for that?"

You pause at the query. You could already picture that damn ST-AR looking down on you.

"It's all within my normal operating parameters." You explain. "Divulging any more would be revealing proprietary information related to my manufacturer, which is expressly forbidden in my directives."

"Ah, I was just asking." KSG nods. "Anyways, it was good working with you, HK. I do hope we can operate together again someday."

"Of course."

With that, KSG heads off back to the field camp, with the rest of the cadets and STARS members, leaving you alone to your own thoughts. There was no way there was any fault in your systems, as KSG implied. What did she or ST-AR know about you? Absolutely nothing. Your internal diagnostic started to warn you your operating temperature was now higher than normal, but you write it off as residual heat from the stress exerted in the exercise. It was nothing more than that.

I don't think Lucina would be the kind of girl to have lewds in such a public place. I'm expecting that she has a few questions for Lewis, and at worst she found out some important things about the family that she wants clarification with.

But if it is lewds, always use protection, and pray that his hybrid seed isn't so determined that it eats through the condom just for the chance of finding that egg.
>>
>>3250352
>That spoiler
Merc when are we gonna get a spin off thread where we play as one of Lewis's sperm cells trying to impregnate Lucina's eggs?

>>3250381
I wouldn't mind a spinoff as Lewis trying to do all the things to take care of a pregnant Lucina, or Lucina trying to survive nine whole months with almost comically absurd and exaggerated pregnancy symptoms which would've put her in the hospital if it weren't for her Peak Human status.

All I know is that Egan is going to have a field day collecting samples, recording data, and studying her daughter's nine months on an 24/7 basis.

Just imagine her starting the day with such a heavenly glow and tranquility that makes the Virgin Mary look mundane, only to immediately start throwing up actual rainbow colored vomit for the next hour as she curses off Lewis for doing this to her. Then starts the obscure food cravings that even Carol would take pause at...
