Day 3, Week 1
Waking up, you begin your usual everyday routines. First comes breakfast, as always you were taught. Placing some toast in the nearby toaster you start your usual stretches. Smiling to yourself, you haven't felt this great in ages. Maybe because you're finally active? Or is there another reason...

After a good 15 minutes of eating and stretching, you head towards your good old TV. Turning it on, you sit nearby while enjoying your mediocre breakfast

"Good morning everyone, this Robb Brown from Channel 4 News. This morning, The PRT has issued a watchout order on 'Bakuda', pictured here. If you see this individual, we highly recommend you leave the immediate area. Our local para-humans expert Dick has more."
The screen changes, and you're met with another vaguely familiar young figure
"Yes Robb, I do. After several incidents across the city involving extremely alarming bomb threats, the PRT has finally said enough is enough. While we don't know their exact plans Robb, we can easily tell they're involving the higher up..."
Your brain eventually stops listening in as you relax.

Focusing yourself, you've realized that you lack a proper 'costume'. While you do still have that mask you made ages ago, it's hardly flashy enough for the likes of yourself. While you doubt you can make anything cutting edge just yet, surely you should be able to make something half decent with what you've got...

After a few minutes of consideration you choose...
>Your mask accompanied with a lab-coat from your University days, you're sure you've still got it somewhere around here... but regardless, it's easy and you could put it on in a flash.
>While you can't currently make it easily as of now, you could probably make something more... futuristic with your talent. God knows how long it would take though (SEE >>3222653

Here's an idea, if we already have a coat and mask we could go ahead and paint the coat black, and some silver or golden decoration, convert the mask into a gas mask and badabing badaboom we have a Krieg officer as our costume.

I'd prefer Nazi Scientist theme since the E88 is using the Nordic theme and i like to be original.

We can use the light armor for formal events and other rally's and stuff but i was thinking we could keep two sets of power armor as a back up set in case one gets damaged or they need us while we're working on a set

But as a long term goal>>>3222653
Everyone fine with that?
>>
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZXAugWfVb0E
We should try to build our own organisation as well, instead of being a solo caper. That's more of a long-term goal, of course, but we should keep in mind the kind of image we want to exude to the populace when we design the uniform. A fatherly figure - stern, but proud of our children. The patriarch of the paterfamilias who will do anything and everything to ensure the safety of his brood against those... outsiders, who would dare reduce our people's might.

That is, if our goal is to be more than merely neonazi cape #12391.

I could see using the mask and labcoat and adding a pickelhaube and some kevlar body armor under the lab coat for now. Then building the others as power armor later. I could see the norse suit being built around close combat where as the protect gear type armor being built around guns.

Emphasis on LIGHT armour. We want to look more like an officer, so it would be maybe kevlar (or whatever equivalent our fancy schmancy tinkering can make) under our formal dress. Not overtly combat-purpose, with an emphasis on being dashing.

After pondering your option, you decide to more or less choose both. Your futuristic Armour can be your long term goal, meanwhile you can put together a rather more easy alternative for the current present.

Searching your drawers, it takes a bit of digging to finally find it, you're old labcoat. It doesn't exactly bring pleasant memories, but you were constantly wearing it back in the day. Shaking off the bitterness you finally decide it's time to start 'work'. placing the coat inside one of your many bags nearby, you leave with the set of metallic keys on hand.

The route to the scrapyard is quiet as ever. After a 10 minute walk you finally arrive, taking out the keys you start unlocking shack. Entering, you see that nothing has changed. Your 'tinker' gear is still there as you left them. You begin thinking about how exactly you should start your shift.

I would imagine it would be creating power armor with an efficient powerplant/Joint system, Then scaling the technology up to create a smaller tactical mech/larger power armor. Deciding that your first action should be to collect scrap from some good old useless cars, you open the scrapyard to find...

>CRITFAIL ACTIVATED, YOU HAVE ANGERED THE GODS ANON
You don't notice it at first, but you could of sworn there was MORE cars around here. After a few minutes of searching, you find the problem. Someone just fucking opened massive ass hole into one the fences nearby. Someone destroyed a part of YOUR fence to... steal some scrap? You're honestly left confused
-200 low level scrap, 2790
-50 mid level scrap, 440
-Massive security breach, -5 to all base encounter rolls ???

Focusing, you work tirelessly. You receive several signals about what would do what, but you choose the greatest weapon of all, reliability!

>18
You fire, and the man immediately hits the floor like a brick. You don't think he's bleeding, but from what you can tell he's certainly not getting up soon.
His friend soon realizes what's going on, but before he can react you cap him in the head, knocking him out. You begin the tedious job of carrying their unclean bodies somewhere nearby, your nose keeps getting attacked by their utter lack of cleanliness. You finally drag them far enough before coming back and locking up the place. Throwing your gear in the shack, you walk back home in the darkness of the night.

Turning the TV off, you dress yourself in another pair of bland looking clothes before heading out. The weather is surprisingly cozy today, the pure blue sky hangs above you as you head towards your destination. Before long, you see the increasingly more familiar scrapyard.

Unlocking the shack's door, you walk around inside. Everything's in order, and nothing has been touched in your absence. Letting out a sigh of relief, you sit down one of the near chairs left by the owner. Pondering, you begin thinking about how exactly you should start your shift.

You still need to fix that massive fucking hole, but perhaps a little finesse with the welder and some scrap could fix the problem? On the other hand, maybe you could try some more traditional tinker work, you haven't really touched that 'exoskeleton'...

You look through your gear, after a few minutes of quiet pondering you decide that the best course of action would be improving your welder.
Grabbing it, you head outside and enter the scrapyard. Looking through the countless piles of scrap, you let that sixth sense go berserk
>Crit Success
After a couple of hours of tireless work, you finally see the fruits of your effort.
Looking down, you barely recognize the futuristic device in front of you, as it looks completely different from your original contraption.
>Futuristic Welder Gained! When doing rolls that involve using this device you'll gain a +2 modifier! It also runs on a mysterious never ending power supply! Tier 3, low
Letting out a boisterous laugh, you begin you yelling gibberish to celebrate, it may not seem much tinkerwise, but you could say this is a gigantic step for yourself.
If only you could rub this into her face
Shrugging off that thought, you turn towards the hole. With your newly improved device, this should be child's play!
>19+2=21, Pretty DAMN good
After grabbing some pieces of scrap nearby, you begin the operation of installing them over hole, creating a scrap wall.
Finishing the first layer in a jiffy, you decide add a few more layers to make sure no one tries to kick it off. After an hour or so of relentlessness work, you lay down and try to decide what to do next

Wandering around aimlessly, you decide that a Multi-Tool would come in pretty handy. You'll need to increase your tool options if ever want to do something more intricate. You just hope to god that you don't fuck it up again

>14, Not bad

After a few monotonous hours of work, you finally start getting some results. Examining your new device in question, you're left a bit unimpressed. You could probably screw and unscrew something with this, although for anything more complex than that you may be left a bit out of field.

I just had a great idea for another power set for a quest like this.
A coil like power where you create split timelines And it works through the votes, when anons vote for one option OP posts little abridged bits of what would have happened with the other options, IC the character and his/her alternate selves see their respective alternate selves, their actions and the effect of those actions up to a OP decided limit allowing for IC metagaming.
>>
>>3225948
Looking at your rather mediocre contraption, you can't help but laugh, what else WOULD you do other than improving it to fit your standard?!

>19, wonderful success

Letting out a over exaggerated pose, you begin searching for the specific parts you'll need, it's a rather frustrating process at first considering it almost seems endless but you eventually get there.

With all the material you need, you finally let that out /THING/ inside your mind. You begin working almost flawlessly as your hands dexterously do the work. After a few hours you finally have it, ZE Multi-Tool!

>Upgraded Multi-Tool Gained (Tier 2, mid), with this you can now do more advance and complex work. It has a built in hammer and several other features worthy of it's name.

letting out a yawn, you realize just how tired you are. Deciding to close up shop you lock up everything before shoving your stuff inside the good old shack. You lie down on the old owner's couch and immediately lose consciousness as you're taken back to the land of dreaming.

Coil can only have one timeline open and can control his alternate self, this one is more like anons voting hero path but the character is also aware of an alternative version of themselves that's currently dismembering Armsmaster's arms. And another that's sitting at home eating a sandwich watching the other two timelines.
Basically the character can only be aware of the alternative selves and nothing else, anons cannot control the other timelines, only OP and/or his dice.

Here's a fun fact about the powersets to cheer you up, you know how other Tinkers when they trigger they suddenly get a bunch of ideas crammed in their head? Unless you have other plans i intended for Hermann to never have this happen to him, he just one day started getting really good invention ideas until he took a look at a fictional devise and he knew how to build it which had him figure out he had powers.
Another fun fact, this powerset was originally the ability to build devises from fiction.

Day 5, Week 1
Waking up on the old, hard sofa you ridicule yourself for not sleeping at home, as your neck feels like shit. Letting out a exasperated sigh, you start the day with some basic stretches, but midway through you realize again that you're famished. You don't know how you've managed to keep working so long, but your lack of sustenance is starting to kick in.

>Hungry! When ever you skip on eating, you'll gain a -1 for all rolls. This can also be applied to sleep, although shard shenanigans could alter this...

You begin mulling over your options, checking your pockets you notice you've still got some left over cash, and you're sure you saw a diner somewhere near here...

Or, you could just resume work. Being hungry isn't the end of the world, right?

You consider joining the battlefield, but that would be completely suicidal. You begin running back to base with a plan in mind, you laugh as the adrenaline begins kicking in, you're gonna show those scum who they're fucking with

Your name is Armsmaster, and you're currently fighting Lung.
You can hear the PRT and the ABB's goons firing away, but that doesn't matter, what matters now is how you're gonna regain your honor. You remember how you were practically humiliated when you took the blame for Lung's... injuries. You remember the looks, the disappointment, you were treated like a embarrassment by all the higher ups, like a flip of a switch they ignored all your countless years of pain and hard work.

But that will all change! You focus all that anger and frustration into one thing, taking this bastard down!

Your suit begins doing wonders, predicting Lung's animal like attacks, making it easy for you counter or dodge.
After a few blocks and dodges you firmly grasp your halberd and begin relentlessly attacking the wild beast. Surprisingly, this turns out to be quite effect as Lung tries to deflect, causing you to thrust through his arms. He begins screeching in pain, but you keep up the attack, repeatedly striking his vital areas.

Launching one final attack, you let out a final, powerful swing as the beast tries to escape. Hitting his back, he lets out a final scream as he's sent flying towards what you think is a scrapyard?

"Armmaster, come in? Is everything alright?"
You hear Dragon's concerned voice coming in
"Everything's just fine, but can I ask for some assistance? Pinning down Lung is a pain in the ass..."
"Sure, backup should be coming in five"
You hear her voice cut off, but what surprises you is the remnants of the ABB retreating towards the assumed scrapyard. Looks like is gonna be harder than you originally thought...

Your name is Hermann Schmidt, and you've got a plan!
Rushing in the shack, you quickly grab your lab-coat and mask, you're a bit sad you couldn't update them before making your first proper cape fight, but beggers can't be choosers, huh?

Grasping your good old ray-gun with your right hand, you storm out the shack and enter the scrapyard. Using the countless piles of cars as defacto cover, you move around the place, trying to get a good look of the battlefield until lung himself gets blasted through the fucking fence! Suddenly, some of his goons begin running over, likely trying to formulate some-kind of retreat.

>Crit Success Activated

Taking out your Ray-Gun, you fire upon the countless fools like a qualified marksmen, one after another they fall, and after a short while you realize there's none left other than Lung himself

The beast himself tries to get up, but after the beating he's gone through it looks he can't recover quite yet. Smirking, you aim down and cap him in the head, causing him to lose consciousness almost instantly.

Letting out victorious laugh, you yell the one thing you've always wanted to say

"GERMAN SCIENCE IS THE BEST IN THE WORLD!"

2/???
>>
>>3226577
"Who is that!? Reveal your self at once!"

A sharp voice cuts through your joy, and you soon notice it's the man himself Armmaster. Fuck, you were too caught in up your victory to realize he's nearby. Luckily, it seems like he's preoccupied with placing Lung in some kind of Foam, so you should be able to escape without him making direct eye contact with you.

You began rushing through the familiar rows of abandoned cars, no matter what you can't be seen. You climb over countless piles of scrap in a last ditch effort to get some distance from the man.

After a short while you finally reach the shack, luckily no one's bothered to come through here considering the hole lung indirectly made.

Heading inside you're left wondering on what exactly should you do next. You could always approach Armsmaster/ The PRT as your civilian identity, you ARE the supposed manager after all.

Or... you could do the safer option of booking it with your gear, you're sure you left some none seen through bags around here, and although it would probably be heavy, it would certainly be the wiser choice if the Police ever try to come in

I'm curious how bad getting caught as an unregistered cape really is as I'm not really familiar with the Worm setting. (I just saw evil cape and Nazi super-science and thought that sounds like fun) Couldn't we just play it off to Armsy that we're a complete noob and were just doing our actual job guarding the scrapyard. I don't think we would be in that much shit since we help non-lethally lay out the ABB gang. It seems like a good way to wind up a double agent in the PRT like in the original scenario.
>>
>>3229434
The big problem here, is that we’re a Tinker. Everyone wants to have Tinkers, because they build cool shit. With our disposition, Armsy would probably attempt to bring us in to prevent us from joining the E88.

The safest thing to do, is to tell the truth.
>”I work here..”
>>
>>3229434
>>3229441
More or less that, tinkers are the most prized for groups like the E88 and PRT since other people can basically use their gear, unlike other capes where there power can only be used by themselves.
There's more to it, but that's more or less it, plus powerful tinkers have been known to be a pain in the ass for the PRT in the past e.g that madman who fucking threatened to blow up the damn moon, I forgot his name but he was in the birdcage if I recall

You begin hiding everything you possibly can inside this desolate little shack. You store the raygun in one of the lockers, the multi-tool under the sofa, you throw in the prototype exo-skeleton inside a nearby bag and throw it towards a corner. You place your outfit under the desk, and pray for the best. This should be everything-

>Rolled 8, Mediocre failure

You hear a knock through the door, fuck! they're already here! It's time for your civilian identity

"Anyone in here? This is the PRT, we're looking for the owner, or anyone in charge of the scrapyard here, there's been a incident nearby involving collateral damage.."

"Y-yeah, I'm the manager of the place, I saw the fight from afar and I-.. I... is it over...?"

"Rest assured it is, you're no longer in any danger, could you please open the door? It'd make both of our jobs easier if we had direct contact with each-over"

"S-sure, just wait a sec..."

You reluctantly walk over towards the door, with keys in hand you unlock it, and slowly open the rusty door...

When you open the door you're met with man wearing what you could best describe as a SWAT outfit. The amount of protection on there is absurd, and you're left wondering how anyone can survive wearing that during the summer.

"I trust you haven't been injured?"

Nodding, the man stays quiet, from the looks of it he's receiving orders...?

"So you're the owner, right?"

"Uh... I'm actually the temporary manager, the owner is away on holiday you see..."

"Ah, I get it. Now I'm going to need to you ask two things, the first being your name, and the second is what in god's name is that behind you?"

You turn back, and you immediately realize your mistake. You left the welder right out in the middle of the ground, you begin sweating, fuck! What now!? You're cornered! How the hell can you explain this?!

"Uh, you'd have to contact the owner about that, sorry. I can fix it all up though, I've done it before. I honestly just want to get all this over with, this was supposed to be a low stress job..."

"One sec there Mr Schimdt, Yeah I'm talking to the manager, it seems like he can fix the mess we made without... uh-uh, no I don't think he's guy who you're looking for, uh-uh, fine, over and out"

"Listen sir, I recommend you leave the place for the day. We're still doing patrols around area just in case some ABB goons try and come free Lung, it seems like we still haven't caught Bakuda or Oni Lee yet either."

Nodding along, you close the shack's door and lock it. The goon watches you walk off in the distance, and you soon reach home amazed, tired, shocked and overjoyed.

Your name is Bakuda, and you see Lung flying through a fence. Rallying the rest of your goons, you begin retreating towards the man's location in a desperate attempt to reorganize your forces.

And yet suddenly, you see a green spark of light pierce your shoulder, and you're sent flying straight down onto the ground. It stings, and you can barely move your muscles, and yet you persist, you begin slowly crawling as the men in-front of you get gunned down one after another.

After a minute or two, the effects of that green light begin waning away, you finally regain control of your muscles.

"GERMAN SCIENCE IS THE BEST IN THE WORLD!"

You hear that voice, and you're sent back 6 years in the past

"Pah! What drivel Miss Aihara! If you do intend to rival me in intellectual prowess, then show me what a Japanese student can do! Show me you're above the rest of these dull lullards that never question anything! That never truly THINK!"

The blond man proudly pointed towards you, his large, somewhat muscular figure hidden behind a lab-coat. Behind him were a embarrassed group of other students and teachers, all either frowning or brooding.

"They're all so obsessed with useless garbage like IQs or test scores to truly see what's in front of them, so let me ask you one more time Miss"

"Show me what YOU can do! Ignore all the bickering, the muttering, the drivel, focus on one thing and one thing only, the pursuit of your 'truth'!"

////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

It couldn't be...it's impossible...

You let out a cough through your gas mask, and look in front of you. It seems like Armsmaster heard the voice as well, and is searching the place.

Throwing a smoke grenade, you begin dashing off... into the endless alley ways of Brockton-Bay.

Day 6, Week 1
Waking up on your comfy bed, you let yourself relax after the action packed day of yesterday. You let the quiet sound of the wind breeze through the house before getting up.

Letting yourself succumb to your morning rituals you enjoy your pleasant Coffee and Toast. Moving around the house thoughtlessly you finally decide to sit down and watch TV

"-In other news, the Villain known as 'Lung' has yet again been caught by Armsmaster, Dick, our local para-human expert has more on the situation"

"This time, I do Robb. Yesterday morning a battle erupted between the PRT and the ABB in the West Slums, near Boardwalk. After a few minutes of swift fighting Lung and about 16 of his Goons were defeated and arrested. Hopefully they don't make same the mistake twice here Robb and let that monster get away. Getting dressed, you decide that you should check out board-walk for some supplies. You haven't been particularly active in your shopping endeavors this past week, and hopefully this should all change.

Walking outside, you see that clouds have once again dissipated for the day, the bright blue sky hanging above the city. You begin moving around until you eventually see...

>Crit success

Finally arriving at Boardwalk you see what you think is a convention? Moving closer in you soon realize it's some-kind of massive garage sale for more... niche hobbies. Walking around, you finally see something that interests you. In a certain stand you see a man selling all kinds of parts for RIDICULOUSLY cheap prices. Slowly walking over you nearly begin foaming before buying...

Deciding that it would be wiser to use all your money, you empty your wallet to the man running the stall. After a few minutes of placing everything you've just bought inside some borrowed bags, you begin walking to the scrapyard

>+50 High Level Material gained, 65 remaining
>-200 funds, 0 remaining

After about 30 minutes of quietly walking, you reach your destination. Despite what happened yesterday, the scrapyard looks more or less the same. Unlocking the shack's door, you see a slip of paper on the floor

Thank You - The PRT

Shrugging it off, you begin placing your newly acquired material in one single pile. You begin wandering around aimlessly before testing out something you really haven't tried before, blueprints!

You try to design something new, but you produce nothing... it's just scribbles, you don't know why but something tells you this isn't working.
You decide to start with something more... familiar. The Ray Gun Immediately comes into your mind, and before you know it...

>Hello, it's time to explain the blueprint system. Once you've created or upgraded something of a certain level, you can create a blueprint of it, which'll make any attempts to recreate it much more easier.

Taking out your futuristic Welder, you let out a over-dramatic sigh. No one ever said being a one man cape was easy, huh? Turning on that certain part of your brain, you begin focusing...

>16, not bad

After countless of hours of non-stop work, you begin finally seeing some results. Rubbing the enormous amount of sweat off your forehead, you see that you're about 3/4's there. The main problem you had was deciding on how many layers you should settle for, but for the short term you decide on 2 for time management's sake.

>-4 to all base encounter rolls, the new wall is nearly finished

You fall flat onto the floor, and you're met with the moon accompanied with the pitch black sky. It amazes how you fast time moves when you're in the mindset of working...

SECOND WAVE ACTIVATED
You hear some-kind of Asian chanting nearby, at first you dismiss it but you soon see about a group of people equipped with torches.

Taking cover, you try to assess the situation by listening in

"Why are we here exactly?"
The rest of the group immediately becomes quiet, the ringleader then announces...

"We're here to plan our next move, -"You can't make out the rest of his sentence, but from what you can tell he's speaking some Asian language.

"Bakuda and Oni-Lee have forgotten us! Our leader has been imprisoned! We must-"

you begin trying to formulate a plan, the same tactic you used on those hobos won't work on this larger group...

At first, you consider calling the PRT, letting a ward or two handle it. But you're the guy who TOOK out Lung... who was arguably already pretty beaten down... but you kicked his ass, including his goons. Forming a wide, confident smile you begin crouching around the shadows...

>15, pretty good.

It turns out having a weapon that exposes their position is a pretty bad idea, but regardless you begin firing upon the savages with incredible aim, after your first victim the rest of the group begins dashing over to your location, but before they can even get close to you, they're fired upon from a completely different direction.

Continuing your performance you begin swiftly taking them out one after another, before long the remaining sole person tries to flee, but in the end he accidentally leaves himself open to a perfectly good shot.

Blowing your Ray-Gun like a cool action hero, you begin carrying the bodies to the entrance before making a call as a 'concerned citizen' towards the PRT. Locking up for the night you begin the quiet walk home...

Your name is Max Anders, Aka the KAISER

"-In other news, the Villain known as 'Lung' has yet again been caught by Armsmaster, Dick, our local para-human expert has more on the situation"

"This time, I do Robb. Yesterday morning a battle erupted between the PRT and the ABB in the West Slums, near Boardwalk. After a few minutes of swift fighting Lung and about 16 of his Goons were defeated and arrested. Hopefully they don't make same the mistake twice here Robb and let that monster get away. Additionally-"

Turning the TV off, you begin brain storming around your office. You're left wondering if the ABB will survive for much longer, considering the pace of things. You doubt the PRT are willing to make the same mistake twice, but... that Bakuda has been surprisingly problematic.

If they do fall, the likely-hood of someone replacing them becomes practically certain. The obvious suspect would be the merchants but... something tells you that's not likely. Either way, they don't have the resources nor the power-players to make it last.

You let out a frustrated grunt, you've always hated this feeling of confusion. The Unexpected Annoyances really do hit you hard.

Grabbing your phone, you begin messaging your 'second in command' using your burner phone.

"Uh... are you sure there was a guy here in the first place, Armsmaster...?"

"...I have the audio and video evidence to prove it. About 12 ABB members were suddenly attacked afar from the scrapheap. None of our Men and Women ever reported or admitted to doing it. Unless you have another explanation, maintain the patrols around the area"

"Uh... yes sir!"

Sighing, you sit down on your bike. While you did manage to capture Lung, that mysterious man managed to elude your grasp. You still need to report the exact details to Pigot, but she's currently busy dealing with other matters.

"Have you seen the footage yet, Dragon?"

"I'm still reviewing it. What're your thoughts so far?"

"He's clearly a para-human, that much I'm certain. His exact powers are a bit hard to pin down. My first guess would be some kind of Blaster that focuses on stun-attacks. Since he's managed to evade us, there's a possibility he's also some kind of stranger or Mover as well..."

"Hmmm... He's also a male, and from his 'comment' there's a possibility of him being a member of the E88, correct?"

"Dead on. I think we can clearly assume this is the action of someone new, none of the E88 capes I've seen have had any powers that fit the description".

"Since we can assume this person of interest is new to the scene, the chances of him triggering recently increases. It's not impossible that the ABB were the cause, and he simply acted out after gaining his powers".

"I can't deny that, although in most cases the cape tends to use more... lethal methods. There's a lot of unseeable factors in play, so we shouldn't discount any theories early. For all we know the guy could be a Tinker".
>>

Day 7, Week 1

April 22, 2011

Drowsily you slowly awake. Moving around the house, you can see the weather has worsened today. Stormy clouds have begun to gather around the city, paralleling the sunny days of last week.

Resuming your routine chores, the contrast of being Cape compared to your normal civilian life sticks out. You've never felt this ALIVE since your University days, and that was years ago.

Eating breakfast, you decide to renew your tradition of listening to the news while eating. Grabbing the remote, you lazily press the power button.

"-Additionally, the conflict between the ABB and the E88 has increased dramatically these past two days. If you live anywhere near the docks we highly recommend you act cautiously. Several Villains have been seen fighting throughout the area-"

Finishing your meal, you turn off the Television before getting dressed. That 'Lioc' guy is supposedly coming today, so you should probably start work early.

Leaving the house, you briskly walk towards to your now increasingly familiar workplace. Opening the shack, you begin thinking about how you should start the day.

Walking through your shack, you decide that finishing your work on the hole should be your priority. Grabbing your good old trusty Welder, you begin running through the scrapyard with a glint in your eyes

>22, Pretty DAMN good

It doesn't take more than 10 minutes to finally finish the damn thing. Checking the time, you decide that you can probably fortify the rest of the Fence with a layer of wall. Grinning like a madman, you begin frantically covering the whole fence with a short layer of welded wall.

>Layered Fence wall Gained! +3 to all base encounter rolls.
>-200 Low-Level Material

After an hour or two, you finally decide to stop your fence mania. Deciding that you should really start working on that Exo-Skeleton, you make a short trip there and back from the shack with the half-finished device in tow. Turning on that sixth sense, you begin to go wild.

21, Pretty good (Unnatural Crit)

Three hours pass in which you have basically zero recollection of. Looking down, you see your lower body being connected to several complicated looking machinery. You begin slowly walking around, the first thing you notice is how light you feel. You begin slowly picking up the pace before you begin running inhumanly fast.

Testing out the strength factor, you try to lift one of the countless abandoned cars laying around. At first, you're met with large resistance but after a good minute or two, you can just about lift it over your head. Slowly dropping it, you fall flat onto the ground due to exhaustion and relief.

>Finished Exo-Skeleton gained, +2 to all Strength rolls, +3 to all speed rolls when equipped (Tier 2, High)
-30 Mid-Level Material, -2 High-Level Material
1/??
>>
>>3246078
Slowly getting up, you take off the Exo-Skeleton. It takes a few aggravating minutes of making sure you don't break the bloody thing, but you finally do it.

While it's certainly useful, you can't really afford to been seen with it, especially considering 'Lioc' is supposed to be coming today.

While on that train of thought, you realize that you lack a proper hiding place for your equipment. The shack does, of course, provide a temporary solution, although if someone actually searched the place...

That bunker thing immediately comes to mind, but you've already decided that was a can of worms you weren't opening.

Sighing, you begin aimlessly wandering around. Who knows, maybe you'll be in luck?

>19, Pretty good

After thirty minutes have passed you almost give up. Just before however... you notice a mountain of cars packed in a square shape. Looking closer, you can tell there's quite a large amount of space in between it all.

Letting out a haughty smirk, you test it out by seeing if you can fit through it. After a bit of squeezing, you can easily fit inside here.

> + New Storage Place discovered

Gently throwing the Exo-Skeleton in there, you begin the process of placing all your current gear inside. In the end, you've managed to store all your Tinker gear and some in there.

Picking up your Ray-Gun, you decide that more...efficient design would suit your needs.

>15, not bad

Dropping your multitool, you begin to consume your new creation with your eyes.

>+Lazer Rifle Gained! While it lacks a scope and several other key features, you should be able to fire decently accurate with it's 'ironsights', +1 to all shooting rolls.
>20 Medium Material Lost

Checking the time with your Mobile Phone, you notice it's nearly 5PM. Storming out of your new storage place you begin running towards the gate.

Finally arriving at the gate, you begin looking around. For the first few minutes you don't see anyone, but sure enough, a black man begins walking towards you.

Wasn't Lioc European? Ignoring that detail the muscular, tall man finally begins communication

"You're the temporary manager here, right?"

Nodding, he continues in a deep voice

"I was sent here by... 'Lioc'. I heard about the fight with Lung that happened here, he didn't cause that much damage, right?"

>Rolled 9

"Uh... He did, but I managed to fix it all up. I'll show you..."

Walking inside, you begin showing the nameless man around. He remains relatively emotionless as you explain what happened and what you did.

"Hm... you did all of this fast..."

After a few seconds of considering something, he blurts out the ONE thing you didn't want to hear

"It's almost like you're a tinker or something. You're not... Right?"

"I know this may sound a little unfair, but these walls didn't exist before you came. If the PRT did it as some form of recompensation, then I could believe it. But you said YOU did it!"

You immediately try to think of a solution. Sweating heavily, you decide too

After denying it, I managed to strike up a deal with the PRT. In exchange for not suing them, they would fix all the damage and then some."

"That's not to say I didn't help. I managed it all and worked overnight to make sure everything was in order. I-... I'm sorry."

Straightening yourself up, you force on remorseful stance.

After a few seconds of silence, the black man finally responds.

"You didn't need to lie, damn. You're practically the worker of the year for not taking the money and running off with it. One sec..."

He begins to take out a leather wallet. A few seconds later he hands an absurd amount of money.

"There should be about $700 there, enjoy the 200 dollars extra"

He then just... walks off. Pocketing the cash, you're left almost stunned by how well that turned out.

Sentry turrets hidden in car wrecks (under the hood or in the trunk), they should be wired up to motion and heat detectors to reliably take care of intruders. They should be controlled by a car opener so that we can easily arm and disarm them from a far. They should be based on our gun tech, firing stunning energy blasts. When they are armed and someone intrudes, a speaker should first transmit a warning "You are trespassing on private property, vacate the area immediately or deadly force will be used against you", that way we don't have to constantly clean up stunned hobos. If we arm the system directly against an intruder, no warning should be transmitted.

END OF PROLOGUE

YOUR ACTIONS SHALL ALTER THE WORLD'S COURSE

GOOD LUCK

Slowly leaving your comfy bed, you continue to reenact your familiar morning traditions. Toast comes first, and before you know it you're enjoying yourself in front of the TV.

"-In other news, the docks have practically become a war zone, enough so that the PRT have it issued a no go zone for Civilians. We've also received numerous reports of a large number of capes entering and leaving the area, Additionally-"

You almost leap out of your chair when you hear the knock on your door. Placing your breakfast to one side, you decide to check it out.

Opening the door, you're met with a greasy, bald middle-aged man. You immediately recognize him as your landlord, Mr Hill

"I'm here for the weekly rent, Mr Schmidt, please tell me you have it."

Searching through your pockets, you take out 70 dollars before handing it over.

"Good, I've noticed you stopped bring garbage into the house."

Without uttering another word, he awkwardly leaves.

Shrugging it off, you begin getting dressed before...

Entering the shack, you throw all the food you bought onto the old desk inside. Heading towards the gate you unlock it after a few annoying minutes, you really need to replace this lock.

Dashing towards your new storage-place you begin to plan your actions for the rest of the day

Stopping abruptly, you're suddenly struck with an idea. To ensure that the Lung incident doesn't occur again, you will need some form of defense for this place. You can't be here every hour of the day, after all.

Turrets are the main thing you focus on. You can likely use the same technology that was in your Ray-Gun. The main problem after that is the detecting mechanism and the power source.

For the detecting mechanism, you decide that the ideal solution would probably be a motion/heat detector. There's the issue of where would you place the turrets, but after mulling it over you could probably hide them inside the trashed cars lying around.

The main issue is, however, the lack of electricity. You will need some kind of running electricity to power this

>Power Source needed, ???

Ignoring that key detail, you can still start this project. Grabbing your Welder and Multitool, you start production

>22, <Good!> (Unnatural Crit)

The first thing you focus on is the sensors. They're a key mechanism in of all this. It does take a few hours of creating, upgrading and modifying, but you finally get the hang of it.

They're surprisingly small, which is beneficial. After creating a couple, you cleverly hide them around the area.

Moving on, you start work on the Turrets. Taking out your Ray-Gun blueprint, you begin fiddling around multiple designs. In the end, you finally decide on more efficient/smaller variation rather than something massive.

You start installing some throughout the scrapyard, It's a rather tedious job considering you're trying to install turrets inside a car, in a way that doesn't make it completely obvious. After a few tricky hours, you more or less get the hang of it.

Taking a short lunch-break inside the shack, you consider a warning system. A speaker would be the obvious choice, the main question is where?

Finishing your meal, you decide that placing it near the gate would be the smartest decision.

For the last hour of the day, you create a 'warning system'. You're not sure how exactly it works since you haven't tested it.

Instead of going home, you decide to crash into the shack for the night. There's still work needed to be done after all.

Looking around, you let out a few stretches as you begin to plan your actions for the day

Build a power source and wire them up. Maybe solar cells charging some sort of batteries (Gravity batteries maybe?) Since the system is only going to use a lot of power for very short timespans we don't need a constant high output. Slow power generation to charge for bursts and maintain the unintensiv baseline for sensors and stuff.
>>
>>3250020
Gravity batteries? I'm extremely curious to know what that is.

Good question
It's both yes and no, You're bound by the restriction of anything you build being shit at first, but you can tinker in any field ignoring obvious big NOs like time travel/space travel
>>
>>3250073
Power, now that's the real issue at hand. Especially considering you don't really remember anything you were taught, ignoring the basics of basics. What could go wrong, eh?

>11, Pyrrhic success

Hours pass and your hard work yields no results. Stamping your feet in frustration, you throw the garbage you made in the trash and begin again.

The second time, you fair a little better. At the very least you think it works, but the solar panel is too big.

Sighing, you do your best to deconstruct it and try again.

The third time around you finally more or less do it, letting out a sigh of relief you build some much more simpler standing batteries before you begin connecting everything through power conduits.

After a good hour, you install two settings, low and high. Low will only power the sensors, meanwhile high will power everything. At full power, you estimate that the batteries would last 10 minutes, at the very least.

>-300 Low Level, 60 Mid Level lost
>+ Working power source gained!

Rubbing the dirt off your pants, you decide to...

Letting out a cocky smile, you head towards your 'finished' Exo-Skeleton. While it does work... it's missing something. It doesn't have that key 'tinker'punch. Yanking your Welder and Multi-Tool, you let that sub-conscious part of your brain take over...

>23, NIIIIIIIIICCCEEEEEEEEE

You begin unironically drooling when you see your finished contraption. Putting it on with an intense Mania, you're overcome with joy.

Slowly walking out, you feel incredibly light. You test out the capabilities by grabbing a nearby rusty car, and you barely end up noticing the fact that you can carry it over your head easily. Letting out a shocked laugh, you gently place it down.

Breaking out into a sprint, your actual speed hasn't increased that much from before, although you feel like you could jump pretty high...

>Strength Specialised Exo-Suit Gained, +6 to all strength rolls, +4 to all speed, dodge and ????? rolls when equipped (Tier 3, High)
>-30 Medium-level, 10 High-level material

Taking it off, you store it away before considering how you should finish off the day. You didn't really do a satisfying job of that solar panel before, and you seem to be on a lucky streak.

>21, good rolls all around

Deciding that efficiency should be your focus, you try to maximize the amount of energy the panel can harvest.

Moving on, you increase the storage capacity of those batteries. You can't even provide estimates on anything at this point, but you feel satisfied.

>-100 Low-Level, -2 High-level Material used

You're about to lock up for the night when you see two groups of people fighting each over in a nearby street.

From the looks of it, it appears to be the E88, with some kind of costumed cape assisting them.

The other group is almost definitely the ABB.

Even with the cape added in there, it seems like both groups are evenly matched...

Someone could change that, however...

>15 E88 goons, 1 ??? cape
VS
>30 ABB goons

Intervene, and take down both groups

>>

It's really not, not until we get some actual gear that can stand up to Brutes and Blasters
And do we want E88 attention yet? I don't.

We need to add armor plating to the exoskeleton and upgrade our mask a bit before even considering to get involved in shenanigans like this.
>>
>>3250441
>[GREEM] Ignore the fight for now/write in:
Observe the fight and watch what happens.

We are pretty much textbook E88 material but I don’t want to wind up somebody’s tinker bitch. We might want to bide our time for now.

E88 sweeps, if the cape gets a little leeway.
>>

Deciding that joining in wouldn't be the wisest decision, you choose to watch the fight from afar.

The first thing you notice is how aggressive the cape is, to the point where it's almost suicidal. Dual pistols in hand, he begins firing upon any Asian in sight.

Leading into the fray, his goons behind him follow suit. The ABB, not wanting to be out displayed do the same.

The two groups clash directly. Even with the lack of numbers from the Empire's side, the cape manages to fill the gap with his... self-destructive strategies. You see him shrug off bullet wounds with ease, perhaps he's some kind of Brute?

Ignoring that, the tide of the battle is more or less with the Empire.

After a few minutes of chaotic fighting, the remaining ABB goons decide to cut their losses short and begin retreating into the alleyways of Brockton-Bay.

Shrugging it off, you begin the walk home. That was slightly educational...

We need to make a blueprint of the welder, then build just the part that is the "infinite power supply" for the welder, and then we can put that into anything that requires a power source.
Wr should also build a force field, and a shoulder mounted auto turret for the exosuit.
