After getting out of the Hydroelectric plant you didn’t waste any time to send the White Veil documents to Dr. Maple back in Madeleine town. She’ll examine them as soon as possible and give you the most crucial details.

With a snap of his digits, Kadabra is gone, along with the heavy boxes filled to the brim with papers, he returns soon enough.

You pleaded to her to keep this between you and her, having this information could be useful, but also dangerous, if somebody finds out you stole those documents you may have to deal with a powerful and seemingly amoral corporation hunting for your head.

After this little mission of yours, you’ve met with Daniel and Kali back at the resort. The coordinator’s room is high-class, not as much as the Villa you are staying, but still, it’s surprising that some teen barely older than you can afford this place.
Daniel proudly states that “it’s a little gift from his sponsors”.
[Daniel]: “If you want to make it, be it trainer or a coordinator, you need someone to back you up.”
[Daniel]: “You can’t be a serious trainer with out some form of sponsorship, that’s what separates us men of the fine Poké-arts, from wandering bums, traveling from place to place to find a place to drop dead”

That last comment about “wandering bums” reminded you of Gareth for some reason.
Kali isn’t wasting any time, she and Daniel are already planning their whole “training routine”, as well as possible outfits, accessories for her Pokémon, a sad but relatable backstory to tell the interviewers, etc. She’ll take various days to prepare to challenge the Gym.

The Pokeémon coordinator seems to be impressed with Kali after her battle with Pro-trainer, Pro-coordinator and professional douchebag Maximilian Blackstone.

Also, Vulpix seems to be arguing with Daniel’s Ninetales about which sub-species is better. She seems completely convinced that the her Alolan form is superior in every conceivable way. Calling herself part of the “Master-Race”.

While Daniel and Kali are entranced discussing their plans for the week, the coordinator turns at you and says “What do you want to focus on, Percival?”

After that’s solved you tell Daniel that you want to work on your presentation.

[Percy]: Whenever I get nervous while talking to humans, which is quite often, I bombard them with random Poke-facts because that’s the only topic I feel comfortable talking about, otherwise I tend to run my mouth and say some really embarrassing stuff, like how I enjoy eating Pokémon food or the fact the Kali always smells really good, all the time and that makes me uncomfortable. How do you even manage to smell like that while camping? It’s confounding.

Mimikyu hurriedly covers your mouth with one of is dark colored tendrils and pleads you to stop before you embarrass yourself further.

Daniel thinks your use of Poké-facts isn’t necessarily a bad thing, you just need to own it and make it part of your “Trainer Persona” you just need to work on one crucial thing you are lacking.

The Pokémon coordinator shows you a plethora of videos of both professional trainers and coordinators including:

The ever-smug asshole Maximiliam Blackstone, the monstrous and terrifying “Ogre” Yuijiro Itagaki of the Elite 4, the friendly and approachable “Krookodile Hunter” and a strangely familiar looking trainer battling in an old league match, among others.

They all have one thing in common. When they enter the stage, they seem completely unshakable. All confident in their own skills. Some ignore the camera and the public, others hype their fans up with each step they take before they even enter the arena.

The well-dressed Pokémon coordinator says that your display as “the Arsonist” in the Rookie tournament was quite the spectacle, you even got a little “fanclub” of sorts started. He thinks you could take advantage of that reputation if you manage to separate yourself from the criminal who goes by the same name.

He’ll help you raise your confidence a little and guide you in the right direction to project your desired image.

You tell Daniel that you want to become more approachable and friendlier towards other human beings. Maybe that will help you to stop being such a creep.

You spent the following hours doing all sorts of acting exercises with Daniel and Kali. Learning how to walk with confidence, smiling without looking like a pervert or a psycho, how to add “Poké-facts” more casually and organically to conversations, using your “Pokémon interpretation” to cause impact, and trying to contain your verbal diarrhea you get from time to time.

You thought Kali was going to mock you for it, but she’s been a genuine help throughout this whole thing, pointing up whenever you are acting too stiff or unnatural and even giving you some pointers on how to appear more casual and friendlier to others.

That being said, you can only keep the act up for short periods of time and you have to force it pretty badly, but it could be just enough to get you trough the Gym with no problem!

And in the same way, you used to think that most humans weren’t worth the hassle, that they were ignorant, intolerant, irrational, loud and just a pain in the ass to deal with.

For some reason, she seemed to struggle to articulate those words but her struggle to get them out only makes them more believable.

Kali exits the resort, letting her Arcanine out of her Pokéball, she rides on top of her canine trough the streets.


[Percy]:Did I screw that up? I can never tell with her.

[Houndour]: Don’t worry partner, you didn’t lie, she IS a bitch.

[Loudred]: Bro-Houndour, that’s really mean! She’s just a little hard to deal with.

[Mimikyu]: Loudred, pardon my language, but I must concur with Houndour. She is a bitch. Unnecessary rudeness to Master shouldn’t be tolerated. Nevertheless, I think you did a good job with your words Master.




Mentally, you tell Victoria that the same goes for her. She shouldn’t be ashamed of her abilities, you know she’s more than that.

[Victoria]: I know, those who look down upon me because of my abilities shall met my ire, foolish regular humans should fear me, not mock me, as I am superior to them.

As you approach the Villa you catch a glimpse of Aleida setting up camp in the sand with the help of Deino.

The tanned girl has joined Dick in his travels around the Aztlan region by petition of old-man Nezahua, she’s still not used to be in this kind of environment, and the fancy looking Villa is a little disconcerting to her. She refused to stay inside, claiming she’s way more comfortable in the outdoors.

Before you enter the Villa you catch Eli hurrying outside, she and her team seem to be in quite a hurry. She acknowledges you with a quick “Sup Weirdo”, you ask her where she’s headed to but she seem to dance around the question “Just gonna do some stuff, nothing important, be back later”, and with that she’s gone.

She seems way more convinced now and earnestly thanks you for your advice, saying that she’ll search for something like that tomorrow. You are a bit surprised that it actually worked, also worried that she was naïve enough to fall for it.

While we did purposely and successfully manipulate the both of them in considering a relationship, the reasoning is completely off and unlike us.

This is the honest answer, though I wouldn't mind Percy developing in a way like the first option though. Just because Percy is empathetic and emotional and less of an autist, doesn't mean he can't use his autism differently, more strategically. Something to think about.
