"Huh, you're not Eiji...Nawakubi?" the girl in front of me said in a surprised voice. That sweet sound that comes from her mouth grates against my ears, even if it's soft as velvet. Nothing short of fake.
After a few seconds of silence, of staring at each other, she finally speaks again. "Th-The letter...Was it some sort of prank? Don't get me wrong. It's not like I dislike you or anything, Hanano. But to meet here after school is..." The girl stops midsentence, observing the pale moon in the clear, night sky. Our shadows extends to the surroundings in a static shape until one of us jerks their arms or legs. "...Is strange. I-I even called home that I'll be staying for clubs."
"Stupid." The only word that I could think of when hearing her words. My distaste barely makes a crack in my stoic disposition, but a heat in my chest burns in a well-known emotion; my blood rushes in excitement despite my stillness.
I planned for things to be much more tougher for how lithe she is. However, with a head like that, I guess I won't be needing the the knife...Gathering all those chemicals and rags into the janitor's closet was a waste.
The girl takes notice of the duffel bag by the classroom's door. She says nothing though, despite being curious about it.
I heave a heavy sigh, enough to briefly break my face in exasperation. And in two steps, I close in.

Hey, it's been a long time now. Things got sorted so it's safe to say that I won't be going anywhere for a long time. This quest will serve as a reboot, so there will be some discarded ideas/alterations/changes.

The girl doesn't hesitate to go back a step, slightly alarmed by my sudden action; this repeats till we reach the back of the room. Unnerved, she said: "I-Is something wrong?" glimpsing from my gloved hands to the rest of my body.
In one swift motion, I grab a hold of her neck, squeezing ever-tightly. The force of my grasp pushed her against the wall, knocking out any breath that she may hold and expending any amount left. "G-Gahch!" she uttered in reaction, trying to sound a loud reverberance.
Before another set of panicked speeches escapes her throat, I shove her to the ground, further inhibiting her to speak. This was the last straw for her as she is now jostling about, trying to fight back. My confidence in my strength is founded, me being a lot stronger than I appear.
With every attempt to scream, I tighten my fingers harder and slam her head to the tiles. Her soft voice gradually turns into gurgles, her instincts fading away. The girl's light legs cannot lift themselves from mine, pinned; her short arms slap me with no saving result.
Soon, when time unfroze itself, she stops. Eri stops. Eyes glazed and heavy bruising left by my gloves. Quick did I start the rest of my work. With a grin no less.

The duffel bag was the largest I can find at the mall. Well, the largest one to not make me look suspicious; a sports kind.
Stuffing Eri's body proved to be a small challenge. Her figure pokes out at the sides that's left by imprinting joints-- knees and elbows.
Thankfully, her weight is nothing to me. I hang the bag over my shoulders and store the gloves in my skirt's pocket. Tonight is going to be a lot longer than planned...

My bad.
>>
>>3205228

The weather is calm under the dark sky. Winter has long since passed, as the winds warm up in April's time. Taking a look on my phone, right under its clock, are messages from Eiji. Although short, I can feel the worry that lays within them; seeing his text bubbles replaces the previous fire in my heart with a flowery happiness. "Soon," I thought, momentarily forgetting the sizable bag on my right shoulder. Luckily, no one's out here to point it out.
I bring Eri to the suburbs' bridge. It's suspended over a sluggish river, built to last with no visible damage. I can remember this place for as long as I can recall; many times did I rock myself on its rails when I was young. Now, sadly, this very bridge will serve as a watery reminder.
I leave the duffel bag for a couple of minutes to grab some heavy rocks from under the structure, tying them with a crude cord to turn them into weights. I only need to tip the bag over for it to sink. And so I did.

Eri, along with the rocks, splashes into the water. There was no time for her to float, for the rocks pull her down into an unseeable depth. I stood there throughout the sight until the sack that contained her body meshed under the aquatic plants, weeds, and gravel.
I chuckle under my breath. I do not know why. But thinking of her extinguished existence, one who tried to sway my brother, just felt relaxing enough for me to laugh. I can only see the refracted reflection of my golden hair instead of Eri now; that fact puts me to loose rest.

Mindlessly, I hum my way to home; the tune echoes a short way through the street before dissipating. A sway to the left and then to the right. Like a dancing moonflower.
"Hope he didn't take a bath yet~" I said to myself. "Though, if he did, then I'll have to make it up by sleeping with him~ Ah, I can't wait!"
Under my voice, I pick up a faint sound from a ways behind. Stopping in place, I quickly examine the surrounding area with heightened senses. No matter how much I looked, the 'pattering' couldn't be found. After a minute or two, the sound soon resembled...footsteps. A fast sequence; is someone running?
Sparing no time, I hide in a space by the neighborhood's sidewalk-- a small alley between two walls. Waiting, I keep my eyes peeled for the intruder.

"Dammit, dammit, dammit!" It was a male voice, but the whining was mismatched in the ways of a choir.
Another set of voices follows. This time, of girls. "Sana, provide fire from behind while we catch up to him! He doesn't have much strength left, so let's wrap it up quick. HQ doesn't like a messy job."
"Orlean, take it easy. Either way, got it."
Ducking even lower, a thin volley of rays shoot in an incredible speed overhead. The man's running is getting closer. He then shouts, talking to himself like this is his final moment on Earth. "Dammit! Sucks to be the lowest! Even for a prince! Amon didn't tell me that my legion would be taken out in but a week! G-GuRahk!" he cried, as if something pierced his body.

"Thunk." Without noticing, a man's body falls to the ground. Gravity doesn't take mercy, damaging the head on the heavy way down. Blood forms a splattered puddle in haste , leaking towards all directions which included mine.
Upon closer inspection, the man doesn't look like a human at all. The view left me absent until I seize myself from my own wandering absorption.
Complex horns protrude from the being's goat-like head. Hoofs tip the end of its feet and claws decorate its hand. The thing that could pertain to a man is its regal cloak, battered and worn.

The voice of the girls start to come closer. The situation only made itself harder to understand. "H-Huh?!" I peeped, seeing that the monster's eyes are now locked on me. The demon whispered something. Something that I could not hear before throwing an item at me. "A ring?" copying the quietness of its voice.
Connecting our sight again, it then grins devilishly. "...Take my mantle, would ya?" it said in expectation. It said in its final breath.

Automatically, I pocket the ring and run into the opposite direction. The sight is still stuck in my mind, however, it wasn't long for it to disappear without a second thought. It's more strange than horrifying; I presume that anyone else wouldn't be able to keep their mouths shut, or believe what they had seen.

Back at home, I unlock my house's door to find everything as normal as it can be. As it should be. My father's sitting on the couch with a newspaper in his hands, reading in secluded silence. Taking off my shoes, I make myself known. "I'm home!"

Father jumps from my call, turning around. "Oh, Nawa. I've been wondering where you've been. Eiji said that you were off somewhere else when he returned alone."

"Just...some extra work back at school. Nothing bad. Cleaning up stuff and so on," I replied. "Did Eiji have my school bag too?"

"Yeah. He dropped it off by your bedroom door. Dinner's in the refrigerator, Nawa. And Mom won't be here till later on, like usual," smiling gently.

I nod, "Un. Thanks."

Fixing up myself some food, I go into my bedroom right after. The mirror there shined back the meager light from my green eyes before I lifted the light switch. Just as Father said, my school bag was rested by the door; paying no heed to the baggage, I toss it by the foot of my bed.

I bate the thirst in my throat to instead look at myself in the mirror. It's not good to rush things for him, so I have to present myself in the best way imaginable. "I still need to shower," I muttered, fixing my hair that stays frizzled after that abnormal, seemingly fantastical event. Recounting the situation feels more and more like a daydream.
I empty my pockets of the gloves and ring to straighten out my skirt, patting my lap as I cautiously pretty up my figure. His image is wholly engraved into my eyes, occupying my head throughout the process. Even now, I'm still conscious about how he sees me. What will happen if he comes upon...

What will happen if he comes upon the costumes in my closet? Surely, he'll like them, right? Each and every one are made to fit his interest, so the chances of seeing me as a woman would be high, y-yes? Recently, he's gotten a taste for military-esque girls, but I have yet to gather the materials and clothes...It'll definitely worth it. Absolutely. Rightfully!
Pumped up with a confident purpose, I make my way to Eiji, completely forgetting the ring on my desk. I'll see to it eventually, however, my darling little brother is more important than some piece of jewelry. Who knows what it is, let alone being given from a borderline demon of all things. Ugh, I just want to forget about that happening.

Cracking open Eiji's door, I peer into his room. He's ignorant of my presence, enamored with a magazine in his hands. "Naughty, naughty~" I quietly said, "It really saddens me that you spend all of your time looking at other females while having a completely better one in your house. My chest is the real deal in comparison with those fake boobs!"
I push the door; on reflex, Eiji tries to hide the magazine, but to no avail, as I have appeared without warning. "N-Nawa, you're here?"

> "Yup~ I may have been late, but now is the time to make up for it."

"Why the cherry cheeks, Eiji?~ Fufu, come here~" I first said, sitting on his bed and waiting to receive him.
Seeming as if there's no other option - as I can easily catch him if he does try to escape - Eiji obeys me. He closes the distance between us, keeping the gravure magazing behind him awkwardly while my arms wrap around him on the bed. Soon, my hugging forced him to lay on my lap.
"What's that behind your back? You know that I don't like secrets," I inquired, Eiji still visibly holding onto the book.
"It's...It's..." He goes through his head to think of a lie, but fails. "P-Please don't tell Mom."

"I won't, Darling. But tell me, what do you like about those pictures?" I asked, concealing my disdain for such sluts. How dare they taint Eiji's eyes.
"I-It's embarrassing to say, Onee-san...Are you sure?"
I shake my head in the affirmative, "Yes, yes~ Tell me, please." To comfort him, I then start stroking his hair; the same hue of gold as mine.
Eiji looks into my own eyes, breaking our line of sight due to a clear reluctance. "They have...Th-They look like you," he said softly, further averting his vision from me.

"N-No, er, could you stop, O-Onee-san," Eiji refuted. "W-We're siblings. Even though I said that, it doesn't mean l-like that!"
I halt my advance, showing a quick frown that, thankfully, Eiji didn't notice. Still, I leave my uniform partially undone; switching gears, I pull him closer to appreciate his lemon scented locks. "You showered before me?"
"Yeah." Recomposed, he goes on, "Is something wrong?"

We tried last time and it was working, but also previous Eiji was WAY more cautious of us and our advances and had no "real" interest in us. Current Eiji is easier and probably makes the anons think that we can get away with a bolder apporach.
>>
>>3207087

"Is that bad?"
"Hmm...No, it's not. Definitely not." Eiji then continues with you in mind, "We don't fight like others, we spend a lot of time together not like others. And to add, you're always right. Everything seems to go very perfect, even if Suzukawa-san was around. Like a dream."

After finishing a hot bath, I let myself fall on my desk's chair, wholly changed into pajamas. I sit there in silence, reminiscing of things already unable to be recollected. The way it died is a lot more merciful than how I did with Eri not too long ago. It was over the moment it got shot by that weird ray. As for her, it was a long struggle. "Ugh, makes me sick when thinking about her," I mumbled, remembering that day on Valentines. I am thankful that Eiji rejected her, but since then, I knew. I knew that she was dangerous for him. The way she talked, the way she smiled 'genuinely.' My suspicions have never failed me; she's just like any other whore who's after him. My adorable, loving brother; like hell that I'll let someone take him for her own! I'm the only one who can treat him right! Not some mediocre stock!

I sigh, exhausted from myself. "It's not good to think of those things. She's gone, and what has happened is best left alone," reassuring my mind that, in spite of knowing how I am, everything's going fine.
Switching the light switch off, I tuck myself in bed. The stars has revealed themselves, their light leaking through my window's blinds. I giggle; there was that one time where Eiji promised me a constellation when we were young. He never did, however, it's a memory that still leaves a sweet taste in my tongue.
He never shouted, never cried, never whined. He was obedient, more so with me than our parents...I want it stay that way forever. And maybe...we can take it one step further...

Consciousness escapes me. The sounds around me is nothing but white noise that is overshadowed by my loving dreams.

All dreams fade into obscurity upon a person's waking. I am not excluded from that fact.
Waking up, I rub my eyes while my ears is constantly harassed by the boisterous alarm on my phone. Relying on hindered mind, I turn it off; thereafter, I stretch under the trespassing sunlight.
Completing my morning rituals, I tend to Eiji who has yet to get up on his own. "Wakey, wakey~ It's morning, Darling," I greeted, slowly retrieving him from his own world of dreams.
"H-Huh? Oh, Onee-san," he said with one eye half-opened. Swiftly, he gets the memo, waking himself up faster than I. We soon march our way downstairs so I can fix each other breakfast.
"Smells good! Haha! I couldn't imagine a house without you or Dad." With two plates in my hands, Mother, too, comes down for food. She takes a seat on the opposite end of Eiji, waiting for me to serve her as well.
"Are you going to stay longer throughout the night again?" Eiji asked Mother.
"Yeah. At least it'll end when May comes around. Then, the workload will be easier. What about you, Nawa?~ Dad told me that you too were running late. 'Some cleaning up at school,' no?"
"Mhmm. Yeah, just that," laying a plate for her and finally taking my place beside Eiji.

Bringing a spoon from my own plate to Eiji, I happily offer him a bite. "Say, 'Aah~'"

Puzzled, although not being a rare action from me, he follows my words. "Er, 'Aah?'" biting down on the spoon once I had resed it in his mouth. Mother's audience makes it harder to chew for him.

"The two of you never change, do you? It's as if all the years that came by was packed into one day," she commented, scarfing down the food on her plate. Swallowing, Mother continued, "I've said this many times, but I can never let go how you're so cute together~ A little couple, eh? Kehahaha~!"

"That's a bit embarrassing, Mom," Eiji said, tipping his head downwards to the ground.

"Hmm? Don't be, Kiddo. It's just a sister-brother thing. Others do it all the time! What do you think, Nawa?"

'Oh. It's surely fine for us indeed~" I replied with a smile. "Just a sister-brother thing. Like you said, Mother."

She looks to her wrist, checking her watch. Her eyes widen, rapidly eating the rest of her food before jumping off the chair that she's seated in. "See ya, Kiddos. Can't be late for work now, can I? Have a good day at school!" she said before heading off to her car outside.

Not too long do both me and Eiji leave the house as well. Father was there to send us off by the doorstep, getting ready for his job too.
The serene, everyday walk to school is an indulgent moment for me; other students from our school don't show till we're closer to the campus. So for a handful of minutes, we're alone~

"Did Suzukawa-san accompany you home yesterday?" I asked.

"Yeah, she did. Only halfway, though. Before running off to some ice cream stand. The usual sweet tooth of hers."

I sigh, "I'll have to scold her then. Seriously, I can't really trust her with you. The only thing that she's good for is her athleticism. Everything else is as dumb as a cat. Literally."

"Don't say that, Onee-san. We both know that she's good-natured, so why trouble yourself over her habits. She wouldn't hurt a passing worm or beetle."

"Correction: she would trip over herself to avoid them," I remarked. "The last thing I want is for you to get hurt because of her."

Eiji laughs awkwardly, "Haha...She's was always rough when at the sandpit while we were children. However, that's the cruelest she can be. Don't worry yourself over me too much."

"Woah, woah, woah! Look out! L-Look out!" warned a familiar voice. A playful, feminine one.

"What?" Eiij said, looking to his right where we had just arrived at the street's junction. Without a moment to acknowledge what was going on, he then gets ran over by a stray bicycle; the rider crashes onto the ground as well upon colliding with him.
It was a tall girl-- around 210cms give or take. Slightly tanned with short, pitch-black hair. Her eyes and mouth constantly resembles a feline...A feline grin.

"O-Oneko?!?!?-- Wait, Eiji?!" I shouted, horrified. Disregarding the catty girl, I kneel to my brother's side in a panicked state. "H-He's still breathing. But the asphalt marks...Aaahuaaah..." I mumbled, devolving into a lost mess.

Lifting Eiji up with my arms, I run back the same way where we had came from. Suzukawa will be fine on her own. With how delicate my brother is, I cannot consider her for less than a second or two.
"Are you alright, darling?" I said to him, holding his head close to my bosom. He doesn't answer, unconscious and absent during my rushed movements. "It'll be alright, your onee-san is here. It's alright. It's alright," I went on, pretending that he answered me.

I told Father of what has happened when I arrived back at the house. Not knowing what to do, he takes out a first aid kit, instructing me to take Eiji to his bed while he fixed him up himself. He still had to attend his job, so before he left, Father gave the okay for me to stay with him. "Call me if anything goes wrong," he said before leaving. "I'll notify your mother too on my way out."

"Y-Yes! Surely!" I spoke back, preoccupied with Eiji's state. Once he was gone, I immediately take after my brother's bedside.

Under my urgent worry, I cannot help but look at Eiji with a predatory eye. He's unprotected, vulnerable; it's a perfect time to do anything I want with him, as he won't notice a thing when he wakes up. Hell, a little bit of drool left my mouth while I left myself staring, thoroughly enchanted. "He won't mind if it was a single kiss. Of course he won't mind...Ehehehe~" I stupidly laughed under my breath, ogling at his lips. Stroking his hair will not do now, it will not help calm this unsatisfied hole in me. This opportunity is laid before me, so why not take it?
Momentarily, I leave Eiji's room to dress into one of my costumes. A nurse's outfit that's one or two sizes smaller. Knowing that, I still put it on; in fact, it might help accentuate my womanly traits. A display to persuade-- that is, if Eiji wakes up during the act. Not that it'll become a bad situation. No, it'll actually be better if he does awake to such a perverted show~
"I'm back, darling~" I announced with vigor. Climbing onto the bed, I kneel over Eiji's body, "...Darling, you know that you can be honest with me, right? It wouldn't hurt to say that you love me, because I do." The sweet-talk of mine soon took control of me the longer I went on. And soon, I lean in for a kiss on the lips.
In spite of Eiji's lack of response, I enjoyed it to the last bit. A few more even, just for good luck!

I drag Eiji out of his bed to bring him to the bathroom. There, I carefully undress his clothes to start washing him, propping him up on the end of the tub. At this point, he's starting to wake; minor, incomprehensible words are produced while I slowly rub a sponge against his cheek. Snippets of the world that he is in.
I giggle, thinking that it might be about me. It must be. Does my current actions not affect his thoughts? Did my kiss possibly reach him?...I can't help but giggle more and more.
"Ah, there. All good," I spoke, finally washing off the remains of Suzukawa's tire marks. The bits of asphalt are harder to get rid off, but in the end, I did. Slightly, I see Eiji's eyes opening to see the ceiling. He isn't aware of what I'm doing yet, nor the bath.

"Are you alright? You got hit on head really hard," I questioned, messaging the site of the blow.

"Onee-san?" Eiji said confusedly. "...W-We're at the house?...A nurse's outfit?"

"Don't strain yourself, darling. I'm taking the day off to care for you. Just relax~"

His mannerisms show that he doesn't understand my words. But Eiji nods due to exercised trust in me, letting me resume with what I was doing. Upon finishing, I help suspend his body up on my shoulders to walk him into his room. Eiji said that he can change on his own, to which I disagreed.

"C'mon. You can barely keep a present mind. Let your onee-san help you."

Eiji waves his hand, "N-No, no. I'm alright. Besides, watching me change is, uh, uncomfortable. For privacy's sake."

I puff a cheek, "Mo~ Fine. At least call me if you need help, though. No matter how small."

My brother's door closing in front of me, I hear the lock clicking for me to move. I choose to wait in the living room, laying my sight on the overhead clock. Time sure passes by fast when one's fully absorbed; it's already a few minutes past midday.

Eiji comes back out, fresh with a new set of clothes. He mentions something that catches my attention in a full spin. "Onee-san, it this ring yours? It was on the ground."

"No, I haven't." For some reason, I have this weird expectation for him.

"Then could I..." He hesitates, trying to gather up the confidence to request something of me. "Could I put it on your finger? I kinda want to see you wear it."

"Y-Yes!~" Quickly, I get off of the couch, "Wait here for a minute, darling. I'll need to change out of this costume!"

"Oh, yeah. Why do you have that kind outfit of on?" Eiji asked, but he wasn't given any answers, as I was already heading up the stairs.

Undressing myself, I search my closet for any other clothes that may fit the occasion. Unfortunately, I do not have any wedding dresses or the like. I'll have to settle with normal attire.
Once I have returned in a more appropriate dress, I, too, request Eiji for something. "Could you maybe act as if it's an engagement? P-Pretty please?" I said, shaking in unfounded excitement.

He tilts his head, "I don't understand."

"Just for pretend. Something before the real thing~" I hinted.

Eiji swallows his throat, getting the same idea. Somewhat. "Right," he agreed.

He kneels on one knee; I lower my right hand while Eiji presents the silver ring. I couldn't care about where it came from at this moment. My warm, beating heart distracts me from any concerns or potential consequences.
Despite empty of a surrounding crowd, both me and him experience a heavy weight upon ourselves. A weight in which we know what we are doing-- a sacred ritual for lovers. Eiji may not think of it in the same degree as I, but it'll only be a matter of time before he realize how perfect we are.
In one stroke, Eiji slides the piece of jewelry through my ring finger. The atmosphere restored between us, he gets up from the ground. I, on the other hand, examine my hand with drunken love.

Caressing the ring, I come to be aware of a peculiarity.
I can't get it off; it fills free enough that I can just slide it back out, but something forbids its displacement. Something is resisting my efforts to take it out.

"What's the matter?" Eiji said, noticing my face's focused expression.

I look up to him, smiling as if everything's fine. "No, it's nothing, darling. Is it fine if I tend to my room now?"

"I'm not stopping you," was his reply.

Flashing another grin, I go up the stairs and once more into room. Now hidden from Eiji, I get rougher with my strength. However, my methods prove to be a failure, sticking on my ring finger in a parasite's grip.
Soon, my body begins to be coated in a dark light. It reached from my toes to the end of every strand of my hair. Nonetheless, I was alright.
The bandaging void disappears as fast as it came. My first reaction brought me to observe my appearance in the mirror seeing that my outfit changed into...

A thick, leather coat hangs off of my shoulders. Under it is a princess' dress, or something like it. Styled after a high military uniform. Ornate and brimming with an invisible authority.
Although, decorated with gold trimmings and highlights, the blacking hue of blue makes it hard to stand out in the dark.
Till now, I feel something blocking the vision of my left eye; I feel at it, acknowledging that it's an eye patch, despite being healthy in both sides of my vision. A symbol of a heart is sewn into it with yellow embroidery. On my head, a hat that carries that same theme, another heart pictured at its front.

"D-Don't I look like that military chick?..." I said to myself, bending closer to the reflective glass. I can pick out a few resemblances of said character, one that appears in my brother's shows. Following that, I remind myself that he's into such fashion. Briefly, I was thankful for the development, but I set my mind to more important questions. The ring.

For the tenth time, I attempt to pull it out. And again it stays. It may have been a mistake, as the silver ring starts to burn my finger; the sensation crosses my body and up to my brain, piercing the back of my head in a ephemeral headache. Everything went white, and within that whiteness were four faces of four girls. They were all dressed in distinctive clothing, holding something in their hands to which I couldn't figure out. Towards them, an unrecognizable hate. An unfamiliar fear.

The next thing I knew, I saw myself crouching on the floor. The silver ring is still there, however, something else had taken place in both of my palms.

Two pistols overlaps the grasps of my hands. Their unforeseen materialization continues to drive me deeper into bewilderment, generating bigger amounts of questions. Bigger amounts of suspicions.
"Why would I need them? Why do I have them? What the hell happened to me?!" are the interrogations that bite at me.

The headache was only contained in that white episode, adding a cold relief that spilled over to my shoulders. Tired with no apparent reason, I sit against a leg my bed.
Those girls I saw are people that I know. But at the same, I don't; no memories - except for that vision - doesn't pertain to any of them. Do they even exist at all?
What I know for sure is my animosity towards them. I can project their words within my ears, however, undecipherable. I tap my chin, hoping that an idea will come to pass. "Deactivate?" I commanded, posing in several ways, "Off? Disappear? Shutdown?!" "Argh! Dammit! What do you want me to do?!" I said, kicking the mirror in anger. "Eiji can't see me like this. Let alone the guns!"

Throughout the deprecating session, where I constantly go off by countless assumptions to fill the giant gap in my knowledge, a thought came to mind. A daring one that reveals itself at my lowest point. "W-What if I kissed him?...A few of his books go like that. But what will he say?!"
I know I kissed him while he was unconscious, but that's different. If I do it while he's fully awake, it'll unfold an unpredictable bag! I'll have to do something about this outfit to if I want to get close.

"No, that's silly!" I told myself. "These are just normal clothes, aren't they? I can just take them off!"
I came to know the extent of my foolishness when common sense rolls around. And in the end, I could just change out of the fantastical outfit. Granted, the buttons and belts that are on the dress were hard to unpin, but it was not troublesome.
What became of those clothes is something else. The moment that they touched the floor, both the guns and the coats dissipate into the air in a form of a mist, leaving behind the original outfit. That's one more thing to add onto the list of questions; still, I have Eiji to get to, meeting up with him in haste.

"You changed again?" Eiji questioned, seeing me in another set of clothes.

"Mhmm. That's how girls are~ I apologize if you were waiting for too long."

"You don't have to apologize," he assured. "I was just wondering. I see that you still have the ring on."

Repeating our actions from an hour ago, I glance at the decorative piece. "Haha...Yes, darling. I don't think I'll be able to take this off, now that you're the one who put it on for me~" That said, I lead Eiji to the couch.

"If you say so."

Laying himself horizontally on the couch, he cushions his head upon my thighs. I show him a gentle grin, looking down at his face while stroking his hair. In intervals, I cuddle him like a doll; Eiji knows enough to not resist, and rather, take comfort in it.

"Do you sometimes wish for everything to stay this way? I mean forever, darling."

The both of us takes a moment to listen to the silence. In the distance, droning cars.
Eiji gives his answer. "I would be lying if I said no. You're very...'soft,' Onee-san. And I wouldn't want it to be lost. At the same time, however, it'll surely be boring. There won't be any change, and I prefer something more dynamic. Like...Take Suzukawa-san for example."

"I see," I said to myself, mechanically feeling Eiji's hair and cheek.
If only he understood. The world's dangerous, so I need to protect him as best as I can. Even if he dislikes it. Someday, he'll love me for it. He'll share the very emotion that has driven me to dirty my hands for him. It'll all fall into a predetermined plan that I know is only for us. Why do I have these feelings then? Love doesn't lie!
"Do you love me?" I then questioned next, determined to hear his second response. "As a women. Not as a sister."

"Uh, er. That's hard to say...Of course, I love you, but as a sister. Saying that I outright love you as another woman is a bit..."

"Touchy? Abnormal? You know that I could care less about those types of constraints. You already told me why you look at those naughty magazines, darling. So, please, be truthful. I want to hear you more~"

"I...I don't know," Eiji said. My suggestions left him indecisive.

We spent our time exactly like this, until the clock struck four. As if on queue, someone came to our door to rings its bell. It's definitely not Father or Mother, so who could it be?
Opening the door, I come face to face with Eiji's perpetrator. "Yaho~! Sorry for this morning, Nawa-san~ I came to apologize!" greeted a catty girl. "Got some cake from the mall. Want some?"
At her side is a bicycle, slightly dented.

I kick her shin, the blow coming out of nowhere. "Ouch!" Suzukawa cried, holding the area beneath her right knee.

"That's for damaging my fragile little brother!" I reasoned, arms crossed and brows furrowed.

"I'm sorry! Ah!-- That really stings!" the feline girl whined.

Recomposed, I then continue things as if the kick was just a normal occurrence. "Hmph. Depending on the flavor of the cake, you may be forgiven."

The pain in her leg subsiding, Suzukawa shows the bag in her hands. "S-Super strawberry double cream, your favorite. I also got myself triple chocolate."

I swipe my bag out of her grasp. "Geez. I swear. You're the reason that I have to exercise more often. Come in."

Opening the door even further, I let the amazon of a girl inside. She's always like this, down to the moment where we first met during kindergarten. Many times did I have to keep Eiji away from her to prevent any accidental bruises. Feral as any street cat.

"Oneko? You came?" Eiji said once Suzukawa entered the living room, and additionally, the kitchen.

"Yup~ Hope the treats will appease you. It certainly did for your sister here. Nyehaha~! Argh!-- My ankle!"

I retract my foot from another kick. "Shut up."

"Scary...Scary as ever!" Suzukawa added.

Serving myself and Eiji a plate of our cake, the three of us gather at the kitchen table. It was only a minute or two until the girl across from us finished the whole confection, leaving us mildly amazed. It seemed that it didn't satisfy her, though. I had to swat a few wandering forks that approached Eiji's piece.

"School was okay," Suzukawa said after we asked her about her day. "I heard Eiji's class got a few transfers. Four girls I think?"
The news left a bad taste in my mouth.

"Isn't that a bit odd to have that many at once in one class?" I questioned. "Let alone being near Eiji."

"Calm down, Nawa-san~ It's not like they have their sights on your brother. You need to lighten up a bit from your usual paranoid self," Suzukawa assured. "Oh, right! I would like to mention one of them, a foreigner. I think she was called Britannica Orleans? Something like that. Just one day caused the whole lot of boys to debate who was the better queen of the school: you or her. And I gotta say, she may have a chance."

"Tch, I don't care about how people think of me. They can take her," I said with visible venom.

"I think you're overreacting, Onee-san," Eiji told at my side. "They're just new students. Nothing exponentially evil."

I take in account of Eiji's perspective. It's heartbreaking that he's this vulnerable to a possible group of sirens; still, I yield. "I guess so," grumbling. "I don't want them to be chummy with you."

"I know. It's how you are," Eiji said with tranquility.

"Eiji, darling, promise me that you will not approach them. Your prime cuteness is something to be coveted, and surely will they catch you in their wiles. Please, please, please! Come to me if they touch you in a weird way!"

My brother's cheeks goes up in flames, "What do you mean by that?! You make it sound as if they're predators."

"They are! Will you promise?"

"...Yes, Onee-san," he then, more so, obeyed.

Hearing him, I am immediately made as a happy sister. "Good, good~" I said, petting him even more.

Suzukawa couldn't contain her laughter. "Kehahaha! You really are crazy about Eiji! It's as if you're in love with him! Nyehahaha~!"

"Ehehehe...R-Really, Oneko?" Eiji inquired.

"Well, Nawa-san here barely leaves you alone. Even at school. She practically your second mother. You're very lucky to have a smoking hot sister~!"
Embarrassed, Eiji reenacts his age old habit of looking down to the ground.

The day growing late, Suzukawa finally notices the time. "Oops, got to get back home before my ma gets mad. I'll see you tomorrow, guys~" she said with a wave. The both of us said our farewells too, seeing her at the door till her figure passes the block's corner.

"Your onee-san's resistant to the night's wind. I'll be alright~"

"At least wear a jacket. Just in case," he said while picking one from the coat rack.

"Thank you~ Dad will come back soon, so tell him where I went, okay?"

"Nn. Yes, Onee-san."

Stepping onto our house's front pavement, I lock the door before heading off into the street. I don't know why Eiji mentioned the wind's temperature. It feels warm to me.

On my way back from the convenience store, a wave of cold air brushes behind my neck. For a second time, I note the tameness of the atmosphere's temperature.
Turning around I see no one. The same goes for the rest of my surroundings. "Strange," I thought. "Did someone say something to me?"
Shrugging it off, I resume my walk back home. But, again, another wave of arctic air blows past. This time, it felt deliberate, like someone was breathing on me.
Standing still, it happens for a third time. On reflex, I snap my hand to whoever it was; it only gotten more weirder the moment I laid my eyes upon the creep.

It's a woman. Best describe as being taller than Suzukawa. Her skin is pale and her eyes are stagnant, both of them glaring down at me. I freeze, maintaining a stance against the odd snow princess; under the moon, the crystals in her dress shine and twinkle like stars. She's clearly distraught-- No, angry.
"Give it. The ring, give it to me!" she spoke. But before she could do anything else, I kick her on the side of her waist. She topples over, her delicate, beautiful frame falling to the floor. Enough time for me to ditch her.
In a quick glance, I see the princess create a reflective surface, completely disappearing from sight. Her...Her 'magic' gave me a sense of déjà vu.

"Onee-san, what's wrong?" Eiji said upon opening up, shivering when a draft of wind moves past. "W-Woah. Did the weather not say anything about the night?"

I postpone any thought of words, pushing him back into the protection of our house. When the door shuts, I then fine it comfortable to speak.

"Onee-san, you're pretty cold," Eiji mentioned.

"I am? I don't feel like it." Inspecting my left hand, I see that the skin has gotten much more whiter. I disregard it, going into the kitchen to deliver the milk while keeping Eiji near.

"We'll call back if any goes up, ma'am," is what they said before ending the call. And not too long after, a pair of officers passed by our house for patrol, flashlights in their hands.

"I don't think that you needed to call the police, Onee-san," doubted Eiji.

"I had to. Something about her was...off. Would you mind staying downstairs with me for a while? Just to keep me safe?~"

Like always, when we're both alone, we laze about on the living room's couch in silence. Eiji, who has acted as my doll for as long as I can remember, is locked between my arms while I listen for any alarming sounds from outside. So far, everything has been quiet.

"Do you hear that?" Eiji said, our heads directing themselves to the backyard door. There couldn't be anyone there. The houses around us are formed into a compact formation that spans across the suburbs. A person will have to invade the neighbors that live behind or beside us.
My attention grows stronger when I overhear a light tapping that came from outside. If I squint my eyes hard enough, I could outline a tall, full dress. That alone sets of the flags in my brain. And judging from Eiji's unsettled expression, he can see it too.
Swiftly, my own fear is turned into anger. I've had enough with this bitch. Worse when I remind myself of Suzukawa's tellings from school.

I release Eiji from my protective hold, going into the kitchen to obtain a sizable knife for myself. It took a moment for him to realize the fire in my eyes, following in an effort to calm me down in spite of his own unease. "What are you doing?" he questioned.

"Stay back," I said, putting a finger upon his lips. Smiling, I order him to go upstairs in a gentle voice. "I just need to take care of a pest outside~ Probably some rat. Go upstairs where it's warmer."

He furrows a worried brow before heading up. A good boy he is~ I'll need to treat him later. But for now, I have to focus on something else.
Twisting the door's knob, I rush into the dark; the outside lamp that hangs above the passageway can only cover a small distance before the rest of the yard is overtaken by the lack of light.
To be honest, I didn't have much of a plan. I hoped that it'd be easy as Eri, but knowing that the person outside is abnormal, I knew that wouldn't be the case.

I manage to come in contact with her. Running in blind, I collide with an invisible body; the reappearing face of hers showed visible surprise at my rash decision, though, returning into a cold expression. Said cold expression contorts into displeasure when she notices the knife in her waist.

"Gah! Crazy girl, do you know what you're doing?!" Taking a second look, the wound that I put into her bared no blood. My attention is restored when I receive a hard slap in return. "Give me that ring and I'll make sure that my magic won't bite. Perhaps, you would prefer for me to make you into a sculpture."
I stay silent, annoyed at her pompous demeanor. With another forceful lunge, I land another strike; the blade sticks into her chest, but again, it flowed empty.
The woman produced a cold gust to blow me off of her. I respite wasn't granted as she then fires of an array of faint orbs; each one of them rips through the air to meet its target. Though, missing when I reached for cover behind the yard's tree. "Where's all that spirit?" she mocked, deciding to approach me instead.

Feeling the clock ticking, I set aside my knife and start to fumble around with the ring. After what seemed to be seconds, my body is hit with a light sensation. And once more, a dark, purple light coats every part of my body.

The snow princess finally gets close enough to view the other side of the tree. What she didn't expect is a bullet piercing her torso.
She cries out in pain, holding the spot where she has been shot, backing away in confusion. "W-What?! You...Already?!" she mumbled, knowing something that she couldn't prevent in time.
Stepping into the light, the lamp illuminates the edges of the my...costume. For a lack of a better term.
I'm not used to guns, but there's an innate sense of competency in me that knows how to handle them. Wasting no time, I pull their triggers. The bullets are made from a condensed material that is unknown to me, making no sound as they travel; regardless, they store some serious punch. Their show is enough for me to become loose with awe. My hands grow numb.
Keeping myself together, I continue to fire. The pale woman is pushed against the back-most wall, laden with small, precise holes.

Sparing no mercy, I point my guns at her heart, preparing for a final shot. Although dazed, the woman is able to speak with a strong, albeit deteriorating, will. "I...I cannot not die here! That...Yours will be mine!"
By her feet, she starts to restore her invisibility.

"Too bad~" I thought, hiding the satisfaction under a tight mouth. It's as if this momentary strife was nothing!
The mechanical weight of my fingers push down, the expanding air inside pushing out a pair of magical bullets. Under an absolute, unchangeable atmosphere, it finishes her off. Two singed marks connect, deeply engraved into her chest.

Her body falls flat onto the ground. Instead of melting - something that I thought would logical follow - she just merely refracted into untouchable pieces of white. In the air, they disperses and disappear. Forever it would seem.
At the center of where she felled, a ring, just like mine, rests on top of the soft layer of grass. Glass rather than made of silver.
Curious, I pick it up with vigilance. Knowing better, I only keep it in my hands.

I look over one of the guns in my hand. Something about it is weird. It scratches at the back of my head. "Again. So...familiar," I mutter.
Without noticing, they start to dematerialize along with my outfit as well. I'm left in the yard without a single sign of this fight. Not a tinge of frost, nor uprooted dirt. Thereafter, I pocket the ring and come back inside.

A story was enough to convince Eiji. "It was only a rat." Though, that isn't too far off from the truth~ Soon, Father arrived, completely unknowing of what has transpired. Under strict instructions, my dear, loving little brother is to not mention any element of this night.

"Say, darling. I've washed you, so why not return the favor?"

Catching what I meant from my implication, he still wondered. "How so?"

"Well, it's only fair to assist your caring sister after I cleaned you up, you know?"

"Cleaned up?...You mean earlier this morning?!" he said, putting the pieces together from his previous unconscious state. "That nurse's costume too. N-No wonder!"

"Fufu~ Is that a yes, then?"

Eiji tenses up, his eyes wandering from corner to corner. It only delights me; his adorable behavior is what I live for~
Taking his hand, I guide him to the bathroom. He resists, but slackens after I remind him about that moment with the magazine. Why, this is a great opportunity for him. After all, he gets a full, alive picture all for himself!

The steam rises, accumulating in thick condensation up above. His only way is locked; my brother scrubs my back before we head into the tub. Ah~ It's so refreshing after experiencing that cold air.

"Onee-san, I-I don't think that I should go in," my brother expressed, uncertain whether to join me in the hot water.

"Pretty please? A favor, remember~"

Leaning over the tub's edge, I wrap my fingers with his own, luring him in. Still, his muscles are as stiff as a brick.

"See? This isn't that bad. I do not understand why you're so uncomfortable~ You should relax more often, Eiji. I care for you an awful lot."

Listening, he gradually opens up; the longer he concentrates on the water's soothing warmth, the deeper he sinks backwards into me. I support his ever-lazing body, providing a lovely padding to his back while my words coerces him into an unguarded, intimate condition. Yet, he maintains a persistent distance in the case of our affection.
Needless to say, the lengthy duration of his sustained wall of unsure emotions disappoints me.

"Just give in. There's no reason to refuse. No reason to resist. One command is all you need for lifelong lover and wife." Schemes and anxious thoughts occupy my being, sprouting into one wanting scenario to another. Ever since we were children, I have worked this relationship into metaphorical stone; I have him in my hands, my heel, and my clutches! He only needs one heartfelt push to adulthood~!
Though, knowing that, it is better to keep my progress steady...Maybe not? Reflection like these do mess with my head sometimes...

I giggle, feeling about Eiji's upper body. "Oh, Eiji. Darling. You can be so adorable when we're together," I mention, loosening my grip over him. "You know how I can be when we're alone like this~"

"I-I guess so. Hahaha..." he replied with a weak laugh of his own, wiping the perspiration from over his brow. His tone is just what I needed, a subtle queue that he himself didn't plan to fire off.

"Turn around please. Towards me," I said in much more floaty voice than usual. Noticing that my grip on him was weak, Eiji swivels his front side to mine. He stares off to the rest of the bathroom to avoid the bareness of my sight. "That's fine, that's fine. In fact, even better."
Grabbing a hold of his wrist, I let it trail upon the more abundant region of my body while leaving the sensation to his lively imagination. The longer I tempt him with this sort of touch, the closer I reel him in for another hug.
Eiji yelps when I suddenly pull him back into me, falling face first onto the assets that I proudly display. Desperate to preserve an amount of decency for himself, he directs his head up to mine, to which I score a rather devilish grin. "You liked it, didn't you?" I questioned playfully.

Eiji denied it, "No. Um, isn't hugging me in this position a bit too awkward, Onee-san?"

"I don't mind it~ But going back onto the topic at hand, I know that you enjoyed this kind of skinship for after a very long time." He increasingly grows red. That, I know, is not caused by the surrounding steam.
I let him off, freeing him once more; Eiji takes a place at the opposite end of the tub. "I'm sure that you know by now, darling~ I am not afraid to display myself like this to you. And only for you. Teasing aside, what I say is...genuine." My tongue becomes tangled in itself. A certain rarity from me. Regaining the thought, I finish it, "All you have to do is just ask, and I'll be ready for it. You know what I mean, no?"

He doesn't speak right away, contemplating an answer that can best fit this predicament.
"I'll...I don't know..." he finally said with a long face; clashing morals being the source of such slight sadness.

In a way, it's a relief.

Just like yesterday, we start our morning walk towards school. As an extra precaution, I took the right side of the pavement instead to prevent the same accident from happening, keeping a lookout for any incoming Suzukawas.

And, at that point, I knew that thinking of her name alone was enough to summon her. She came from behind, giving both me and Eiji a shock of surprise. "Good morning, Nawa-san! Eiji! I see that you're all better now, huh?" roughly poking at my brother's cheek. "Goes to show how durable you are. Especially with this girl as your sister!~"

"You can just ride on past us, Suzukawa," I said, already peeved by her appearance.

"I don't like to wait for school to start there. I would very much stay here instead, thank you!" she refuted, now patting my head; for some reason, it felt like she was mocking me for my height.

"Oi, stop that!" I whined, shooing away her hand.

"Nyehaha! What's wrong?~" Her inquiry is left unanswered after I shoot a hard glare at her. "Eeeh...Don't be like that. Smile! Smile! The boys at school would love a change from the usual stoic queen."

"Hell. Really? Didn't know 'bout that!" Suzukawa exclaimed. "Don't understand the manners part, though."

"Sporty types like you are an all-around preference nowadays. But since it's...you, I can't help but lose hope. Right, darling?~" changing gears to my beloved.

"Well, I mean, Suzukawa-san is kinda pretty," he said, scratching the back of his head. "She has an unique appeal to other people."

Oneko hangs an arm around his neck, "Aw shucks. Makin' me blush here."

"You're somewhat like another older sister. I believe that you're eighteen as well, if I'm correct."

"Yup~ Though, despite that, I haven't obtained an equal figure as Nawa-san here."

"Entailing?" I asked her, plucking her tanned, slender arm from around Eiji's shoulders.

"What do you mean by that? Every woman would die for your type of body. Good hips and big breasts! I'm a tad jealous here too!" Suzukawa explained. It's easier to doubt that when she's putting up her catty grin.

At the gate, Eiji departs to find his classroom, leaving me with Oneko. But before he went, I made sure to hammer in that promise.

"Remember, if they're making any uncomfortable moves on you, come to me, darling!~"

"Uh, y-yes. I'll see you later, Onee-san," he said, waving a hand before going off.

"You were serious about that?" Suzukawa said after Eiji completely left. "I'm sure that Eiji can handle himself, no biggie. Besides, those new first-years won't be huntin' him."

> "I know a seductress when I hear about one. Let alone four of them."

The initial hours of school is nothing but unremarkable. Thankfully, my father excused me and Eiji yesterday to tell the staff about the accident.
Suzukawa's antics doesn't cease inside the dividing corridors of the present building, sharing the same classroom with me. Not being one for the books, her talents rests in physical education; that leaves me to help Suzukawa's load of schoolwork, which isn't any better on its own.

The instant when lunch comes around, the speakers blaring with an artificial bell, we head off to meet with Eiji. The three of us usually eats together, a small tradition that has lasted since our earlier ages.
In my bag, a modest lunchbox that was prepared by myself. My brother has another one, its contents filled with more effort than mine. However, Suzukawa's was incomparable. It's a larger box that's wrapped in a cloth to keep it from spilling; how she can bring that much is a mystery. A silly one at that.

"He ain't here either," Oneko remarked. We have been searching for Eiji for a couple of minutes and are currently remaining in his year's hall. "Maybe he arrived at the usual place sooner than us. You think so?"

"Sure, let's go there," I murmured. A sixth sense is telling me that something's up.

The 'usual place' is just the back of the school building. It doesn't get as much sunlight and isn't as popular as the roof.
Right as we were about to turn around the corner, I hear Eiji's voice. It sounded startled, but that note didn't register in time.
Excited, I expected him to be waiting there. Alone.

Eiji's sprawled across the ground. Over him, a silver-haired girl. The moment my foot entered the scene, her blue eyes connected with mine.

"Ah," Suzukawa lets out, disrupting the frozen atmosphere. "It's that foreigner that I told ya about."

Ignoring the tall feline that stood next to me, I continue the sudden stare off with her. Her first reaction, after waiting in this still air, was to smirk.
Returning her attention to my darling brother, the blonde boy that laid under her, she leans down.
The girl sucked the air right out of him, taking a long, heated kiss from his lips.
Quietly, she said: "Hello my own little Merlin..." lifting herself up from his chest. Her smug grin grows wider with...Happiness.

Suzukawa glanced at my expressionless face; eyes are empty, mindlessly following the girl's figure who's now standing up straight to properly join the confrontation. Eiji is enchanted, dumbstruck by her audacity. As for me, a violent anger wells up inside once more. Just like Eri. Just like any other girl who targets my love.

My own internal scream resounds in both my head and spirit. "How dare she. How dare she takes a kiss from him! He's tainted with the venom of another demon! A succubus has marked him! Eiji, my darling, my future husband!"
Malice builds up into condensed fear and hate. The same emotions that I experienced when I underwent that white vision. I couldn't care less about it; right here, right now, someone has laid their hands on Eiji.
I want to go berserk. I want to strangle her with abandon. I want to save my love. But I can't; more restrictions, more and more unfortunate, present elements that reside here inhibits me to reclaim my position of his most intimate. Who has been with him the longest?! Me! Who has entered through thorough skinship with him?! Me! Who has taken his first kiss?! ME!
ME. ME. ME!
Unlike her, I can tie the knot anytime I want! I have the power to take him once and for all! I have the strength to turn our love into pure carnal desire! I am his one and only Galatea!

I cannot allow this, I simply can't! A bitch who has the pride to do such a thing, right in the open, doesn't hold the privilege to behold him. "My little own Merlin?" Out with that fantastical line!-- Like hell that I will hand him to you!

My body regains fluid autonomy, even though my sanity is being unraveled by the sight of this whore.
Having no respect for this silver-haired demon, I ignore her, crouching to meet Eiji.
"Now who are you?" she said to me, although, muffled to my ears, "He's mine!"
She extends her arm to grab a hold of me; whipping about, I slap her with the back of my hand, right on the cheek. A red mark was left, but quickly did it fade back into her skin's snow-like hue. A lying picture of a girl.
She doesn't cry out. This Britannica girl, instead, massages her stinging cheek with a raised brow. Is she...impressed?!

"Oh, Eiji. Here you are!~" I said; the unfolding events are being pushed back into my subconscious, to at least look sane in front of him. "It seems like we got another person's lunch spot by mistake. Come on, let's go eat somewhere else~"

I grab Eiji's arm to lift him up, along with Suzukawa to find another place to eat . Eventually, we settled under a tree that grew within the bounds of the school yard. Me and Eiji didn't have the appetite. The cat-ish girl that accompanied us was the only person here that could enjoy lunch.

Lunch has passed into the later hours of school. With a single action, that silver-haired seductress has kept me on edge. I couldn't understand it.
I remained antsy before and after the ending bell. I needed to retrieve him from his classroom, from her presence, as fast as possible. Suzukawa left me alone to get her bicycle. And, frankly, it was probably the best choice, seeing that I have been much more quiet then.

When I got around, a wave of relief showed over me; she wasn't there. Nevertheless, I help Eiji pack his supplies to quicken his leave. He is quiet as well; I was the one to break our very seals halfway towards the school's gate, under a calm shade from the vibrant Sun.

I stop; he does as well. Eiji sees to me with a wondering, innocent stare. Shifting my movement to the wall, I make him lean against the firm structure that casts this cool cover over us. I grin, but it was weak. "See? They were all complete bitches. She was..." Those words, yet placid, grated Eiji's ears. With more vigor, I follow it up, "What did you feel, darling? Anything, tell me all of it."

"It felt...different," he said. "I don't know how to explain it. But her kiss ensues a. Um. A unique love."

Love? Was is that he stated?

A warning did not matter. I firmly wrapped around his face to meet mine. I reasoned that if I added up my own score, she wouldn't be an equal. I would taste even better for him-- that was what I promised to myself.
I held him at his breath, longer than she did. I made sure that my sugar wouldn't be forgotten. Tongues twisting over each other and my body becoming hotter.
Reluctantly, I decided to detach from his lips after some point. Eiji's gasps for air, looking at me in a perplexing daze right after.

I say nothing, recontinuing our way to the gate. There, we meet up with Suzukawa, persisting with her lax nature with no knowledge of our delay.
We pass a small park on our way home, built around a lake that's ushered forth from a connecting river. An ice cream stand stood in its grounds; Oneko's eyes sparkle, disrupting the straight path and into the grass to get herself a cone.
I figured why not, joining the catty girl to get a treat for myself and Eiji. A nearby bench was able to service us, allowing to view the sprawling water's spectacle.

There's something off about this quest. It's not as exciting or interesting as it's first iteration.
Sure we were betrayed and fucked over quicker than a trap bending over but it was exciting. We had clear goals for revenge, getting into our brother's pants, solving the mystery of magic and Oneko was a friend of ours that we could shittalk and banter but cared for
>>
>>3218405
The premise was still good but not as exciting as the last one. It seems like a watered down Yandere simulator.

While Suzukawa conversed with my brother, I look out to where the river flowed in. I wanted to just stare at it from afar, to observe the light mist that forms from its low elevation. Maybe I'd see something enlightening, though, there was nothing that came out of it.

Eiji taps my shoulder, bringing me back into reality. "Onee-san, are you okay?"

"Yes. Why?"

"You were looking into the trees with a blank stare. I thought to check on you since...you know-- we're both not really here."

"Trees?" I thought. Turning my head back around, I see that there's no lake. What took its place is the beginning of a forest. "Weird," I mumbled.

Suzukawa shared the same direction to where I was looking at. "Hey, Nawa-san. Remember playing over there? We would go in and search for lizards. Eiji would get lost a lot as well~"

"I do kinda recognize it. Y-Yeah, I remember too," reminiscing of the times where I dragged him through the towering trees. It's more of a fuzz however.

"C'mon, don't remind me." Eiji said with embarrassment. "Besides, I couldn't keep up with either of you."

"Touched a sore spot?~" the catty girl teased. "Oh yeah! Do you think about those circles, Eiji? You would always tell us about them."

"Those? I never had a thought of them until now. Lost interest in them ever since we started growing up."

"I see. You were a pretty weird kid back then, huh?"

"I would prefer to not be reminded any further, Suzukawa...They weren't very memorable in the first place. Probably wouldn't be able to find it now with how long we stayed out of there."

>Cont.
>>
>>3218405
The pacing I think, It feels like skipping dialogue and side quests somehow. Not a perfect metaphor by any means, but I think it conveys the feeling that this new iterations gives.
It may also be the lack of novelty, since it is a reboot, or the impatience of reaching the "same point" we were in the last version.
>>
>>3218516
I don't even think it's the lack of novelty or anything. I just think QM would've been better served by just continuing his old quest and simply revising future plotwork or adjusting possible future events if they wanted to streamline things.

...Or just...I dunno. Start the quest over but with the same general personality or something.

Also, QM, this isn't a condemnation of you; we REALLY want to like this quest more, because we loved your old quest, and are hoping you've got something a bit more meaty in store that harkens back to that, is all..
>>
>>3218452

Suzukawa departed from us once we've reached the uphill street to our left. I could still see the marks that were left after she collided with Eiji, now dusted up after a day has gone by.
It was now just the two of us. The Sun is ducking below the horizon, the sky calling forth a blanketing mixture of blues, purples, and pinks.

"Onee-san," Eiji voiced, wanting my attention.

"Hmm?"

"To repeat what Oneko said, was I a weird kid?"

"What? Of course not~" I replied. He gives me an expecting gaze, waiting for an actual answer from me. I rethink it, "I mean, I never noticed anything wrong or peculiar. Are you sure that you're just too conscious about it now that's mentioned?"

"You could say that. Maybe you were the weird one," he joked, smiling. He then promptly regains an indifferent face. "The more that I explore our relationship, the more I question it. From an outsider's perspective, could it be that you're a bit strange?"

I tilt my head, "What do you mean?"

"Is it normal for a sister to kiss his brother in that way? Obviously, there's that girl too, she's not out of the question. But...I just can't wrap my head around it. Not in a bad way, of course.
It's odd. Even more after I found you in that forest when we were kids. Your attachment to me has been, how do you say it, 'enhanced?' It was already pretty strong to begin with-- I thought to tell you that since you don't want me holding any secrets."

"When you seven or something like that. We were playing hide and seek with Suzukawa, but we couldn't find you. I believe...it was around two p.m. that I got our parents to look for you. It really gave mom and dad a scare.
They were about to call the police a few hours later when I finally found you. Do you not recall any of that?"

I shake my head. "No," I said for a second time.

Eiji tries to help me recount that past event on the rest of the way home. However, no matter how much he went into detail, I couldn't adopt a similar recollection. I don't recall those 'circles,' I don't recall a woman.

"S-Seriously? You don't even know about that woman?" In his newly founded astonishment, I deny it. "She was about your height right now along with black hair and a purple dress. She was like some kind of witch."

I open my eyes, dusty air invading my lungs for the first time. "Where...am I?" I muttered, groggy and tired.

From what I see, it's some castle. A dark castle without any source of light.
No. I can see some sort of light...
Me?

I'm suspended by the wrist and ankles, hanging over a decorated...circle. In front of me, is another me. Like a replica; she's in the same state as I am.

Her clothes are from sort of show-- an military outfit? I cannot recall. Who is she? Is she breathing? Doesn't seem like it.

"Good morning, sweetie~" A woman comes into the room. She, herself, is dressed in a loose purple robe. Her silver hair reflects the littlest amount of light, her red eyes peering into my soul.

She's that foreigner girl. I know that? How? I don't know how. I lack a certain empty emotion against her.

The robed woman unshackles me. A monster comes in - some sort of dragon knight in the simplest of terms - covering me with a dirty sheet. I spare another glance at the other me. The dead me.

I am overtaken by a myriad of inquiries, however, each and every one of them unspoken. "Where am I?...I-Is this another dream?" I thought whilst keeping my mouth shut.

The silver-haired woman giggles, "I welcome you to the real world, Mordred~ But I must say that your being is quite wonky." She walks over to the other me, lifting her limp neck up to see her face. "...Her soul was a stubborn one, though, I managed. Because of that, you're only half of what you are now. Actually, that's even better. A new, fresh start for you, my new Morded~"

Rigidly, I rotate my head to behold the room once more. Why is she talking like that? As if I now what she is explaining to me. Souls? Mordred?

The woman frowns upon reading my expression. "Oh, how rude of me. I was overcome with so much excitement that I forgot to reintroduce myself." Delicately, she takes my hand to help me up. With no other choice to go with the flow, I let myself be taken into her embrace, hugging her. "It's me, Morgan. How long has it been since you've seen your mother?"

The utterance of her name brought about another intense emotion. "Morgan...Mother?" I said under my faint breath, trying to identify this feeling inside of me. What is this...anger?

"C'mon, let's get you cleaned up," she proposed, leaving the other me behind. While traversing the steps of what I now know is the dungeon, I hear a plea that was directed towards me. It sounded familiar...sounded catty.

Everything was but a flash. I was washed by an array of monstrous servants, scrubbed clean for me to don a cleaner white robe with no other additional garments.
As of now, I stand in the middle of a garden. 'Morgan' is sitting at a marble table.

"That girl you mean?" Morgan presumed, tilting her head in a playful gesture. "She is the image of your vessel. For a while now, a troublesome group has opposed me at every move to obtain the materials for a proper resurrection, so I took a few notes out of Merlin's book to perform the ritual without them. Lets play it dumb. She still suspects nothing.
>>
Okay, so there's two main ways we can play this out.

Option 1, or as I like to call it: Second Verse, Same as the First.

-We do what we were intending on doing in the initial run, play at being a member of Morgan's crew, and use her resources to kill the SHIT out of the girls and the WMA to prevent them from fucking with our precious brother. On the plus side, it'll give us a much needed base of operations, supplies, and general logistics that we don't have to source ourselves. Downsides? We have to play a massive long con against both sides, and if Morgan figures us out at a bad time, we might get REALLY screwed over.

Then, there's Option 2, or as I call it: Fuck All Y'all Bitches.

Option 2 is try to sneak kill her now when her guard is low and essentially operate as a lone agent so we don't have her or her lackeys breathing down our backs. We can kill the girls at our leisure. This way, we actually get rid of a threat, which lowers the WMA's guard, and we can focus all our efforts on the girls. Downsides? We have no real base of operations, and would have to source our own supplies, including food and lodging, from scratch somehow. Doable, but risky.

Thoughts?
>>
>>3219077
I'd say we do a combination of the two, because we need more experience with our powers.
>>
>>3219077

>>
>>3219077
If it's between those 2, plan B.

>>3219083
Nah, yandere is superior to all.
>>
>>3219085
In the original quest, we fucked up at the worst possible moment with the lizard fucker that we didn't kill him hard enough in time and it ended up with us getting imprisoned by Morgan.
I am also running under the assumption that the new body we're in is undeveloped since we did wake up in a prison like in the last version of this quest.
>>
>>3219077
ideally we should do Number 1 first, relearn our powers and then when we are ready or find oneko is about to be killed, do number 2. This shouldn't take us more than three days, otherwise all bets are off.
>>
>>3219095
No, I mean what level of combination? Trust me, I was there during the original run.
>>
>>3219109
Get enough power/training under our belt so we don't end up jobbing hard, then kill the fuck out of Morgan.
>>
>>3219050
>>3219061
>>3219086
>>3219089

I speak out, curious of this other personage. "Lancelot?"

Morgan. Or, er, 'Mother,' corrects herself. "Ah. You don't need to know anything about that. Just some ramblings, that's all."

"Oh...I'm getting kinda hungry. Is there anything that I can eat?" not pushing the question further.

"My, I must've overlooked your appetite. No worries~" she assured.

Soon, a lavish meal is served between us. The food that was put in front of me tasted nothing like I have every experienced before. Sweet, full, and wholesome; warm breads and pastries alongside hard wine and alcohol. Needless to say, my consciousness crashed...
