" The celestial orb in the outside world poses a serious threat to all living under the gracious shell of Kyth. Its blasphemous light must not reach the seat of the Matriarch. A breach is ours to seal for good and all." - The Minister of Divine Particularities.

> A Battle-worn Veteran (Humm, A Bolstered body and mind.)

> A Spurious Exile (Ashen, Better company)
You do not belong from this fold, by means unknown, you found yourself in a strange world. Shunned by most, Hunted by the rest. You earned a pardon from a Thernni pale officer. It should make dealing with other Humms easier. Keyword here is should.
Ambition : Return home...wherever it may be.

>A Sordid spy (Kythian, Skin-wearer)
Note :Do not pick this
Pretenders, Usurpers. The holy carcass of the allmother belongs to her kin of glass and obsidian. You guise yourself under loathsome flesh to serve the Kiln. This is your purpose.
Ambition: Reclaim the heart of Kyth, Attain Kiln Supremacy across the sea.

> A Rightfully-accused Vagrant (Kerkit, Resourceful)

The Hive has made a grievous mistake, your wings will not rest until you return with the most precious, the most worthy. They will make you a queen.
Ambition: Amass enough wealth to have the hands of the hive under your feet

> A Delirious waste (Husk, Living ship)
Note: Do not pick this, you will be attacked almost on sight
You are awake. Are you the last of your kind? The Goddess of Iron is no more, You found yourself under the carcass of her sworn rival. The faint cries of your mechanical soul echoes under the sea.
Ambition: A Reunion with your mechanical soul, You are the key

Boulderous Drudge

You are a special one unlike your kin who are carved from native mountains. Your master carved you from an ashen slab brought here from an unknown world. His gentle hands cradled you in a small isle away from the woes of the a world. A peaceful home, hidden by erected mist. Your master is a clever one.

He taught you everything about this cruel world. How selfish his kind is tearing through lives for personal gain. Compassion, Love, Mercy, your stone heart beats with the teachings of your master, your father.

It has been so long since you have seen him. Why? Why would he leave you? He went to purchase a snake key , your master never told you why though. Since then , he hasn't returned. You must find your master, wherever he is!

The shrouded Isle

Your hidden home. All this knowledge accumulated over years will come into fruition. Your stone-carved ship and crew are ready for you first sea voyage. It was a small project of your master whom he had abandoned as of late. Luckily for you, that is.

All men of stone are carved from fossilized veins of Kyth that has turned into mountains. You can hear its soft whispers, your master taught you how to respect its will. Yes, you may carve what you need from a mountain but you must do so in moderation. Allow it to recover from its loss so both of you can prosper. Something that the Iron queen of Humms do not care for.

On rolls...

The Mighty d100 shall be our method of dictating fortunes. Re-rolls depends on the stat itself...how strong/weak it is.

0 One Roll
1-3 Two Rolls
4-5 Three Rolls
6-8 Four Rolls
9-10 Five Rolls

Having officers can give extra rolls to a certain Stat. Negative stats will incur a penalty (-1= -10, -2=-20 and so on...)

On stats...

Life is never simple under Kyth. Each captain is governed by a set of stats that alter his/her playstyle. They can be increased (or decreased) via various means throughout his/her journey. They are:

Teeth: Your might, your efficiency in combat and other related encounters
Tongue : Your way with words, affects various interactions and the morale/obedience of your crew
Eye : Your perception, Reveal the hidden and the unknown.
Mind : Your overall knowledge of the world and your critical thinking
Heart : Your body, how much can it endure, how long can it keep up with different situations
Sea-Blood: Your fortune in the sea among other hidden aspects.

On Challenges.....

Any Sea captain is bound to face adversity in their path of greatness. Challenges vary in difficulty according to the captain's stats.
Red Challenges are the most difficult to conquer
Blue Challenges are more manageable
Green Challenges are trivial
Note: Difficulty does not equate to the most optimal choice. It is up to you to choose what is the most profitable and beneficial for your sea captain. Sometimes a rare event will occur (bad or good), its prevalence is tied to the Sea-blood stat

Failure

Oh poor thing, you almost had it done. No one should live so with such mangled limbs. You had to destroy it out of mercy. May the mountain forgives you and your fumbling hands.

You shall return later to carve more ,give it time to recover. For the time being, You must leave for the sake of your master. His last known location is the Wreckage of Vieer , the flagship of the glass men who call themselves Kythians. The Humms have sunk it long ago, it kept drifting through time until it washed up close to your home. A haven for illegal activities. You learned not to trust any of the glass men; they wear skins of the fallen to blend with their enemies. They should fight their foes honorably! Not relying on lies and deceit.

Before boarding your new ship, you went to your small house to grab your pet or as the master liked to call it : a guardian. Any guardian is said to protect sailors and captain from the constant time dilation during seafaring. This time dilation is very dangerous; regular land days will be stretched to a dozen more on sea. Very bad.

Ah! there it is! Come here you...

On Old and New Gods....

The divines can not really perish, Their essence is often fragmented unequally. All shall form what was whole eventually. Such is their nature.

There are four (five) gods of the sea, they are:

Kyth : Although the goddess of Glass and Obsidian is dead. She is still worshiped as a whole, she has no real power to project. Her Manifestation only exists in a pitiful state.

Skull : He who governs gentle tides and smooth sailings, He bears no ill towards the children of the sea. Calm, Benevolent and Cautious, Skull is the least destructive of the gods. Scholars, Sailors and many more seek his wisdom. His ire is to be avoided; gentleness is not a sign of weakness...

Cage : Vacuous, Mournful, Yearning for what she used to shelter and protect. Cage Governs time in the sea. She is the most unpredictable, Almost all of her undoings are yet another mistake. She is the strongest of all gods but she often misuse her authority unwillingly. Madmen and some barely intelligent creatures are often her worshipers with absolute variance in power.

Spine : Order, Just, Righteousness. These words defines the goddess of authority. She governs the unspoken laws of the sea, often bickering with other gods of what should be and should have been (especially Knee) She is hard to please and quick to anger. Spine despises change, Her agents will hunt down any who dare to bend her laws. Traders, Law and power figures follow her words. They are equally rewarded.

Knee : Chaos, Bloodshed, Suffering. Knee revels in the innate cruelty of the sea. The corpse of Kyth is her battlefield. She will not rest until everyone is dead. As such, she is the most destructive of the gods. Extremely easy to please and anger. Soldiers of fortune, pirates and the bloodthirsty kill and pillage for her pleasure

Silver soaked toy

The moment it saw you, it jumped from the shelves onto your back. You told it many times before not to do that; it is already fragile with several cracks all over its tiny figure. The nuanced art of puppeteers and their silver toy-making has been outlawed by the iron queen long ago, they were either killed or thrown in Throat keep, a fate worse than death.

You gave it a pat on the head, it always loves that. After a gentle kiss on the cheek, you took it onwards to your new ship.Your men, They look so small, no...you are just bigger than them. You haven't seen anyone bigger than you just yet. Your Stone crew had already written a report for their master? sir? What should they call you?

it feels wrong somehow..you are not a humm.

On Seafaring...
There are three important resources for any capable sea captain:

Fuel : The first choice for most roaring engines. Going at normal speed will increase the chance for different encounters across the sea, Full speed decrease the chance but consumes more fuel and make engine prone to overheating.

Supplies : For the empty bullies of everyone aboard, more crew means more supplies used. It has other uses too according to the present circumstance.

Crew : The working force of any ship , they can board other ships if given the command. Lower crew means a slower, more vulnerable ship

Stone Captain
This title will fit you nicely. You started to read said report very slowly. No big words please...

The Wall (large ship)

A ship carved from a giant Veinstone, extremely slow with no ranged weapons. As such, The Wall's hull can only be repaired with Chunks of Veinstone only. Must rely on either Boarding or ramming foes. Both its weapons and engine are fused to the ship with a single vacant spot for an auxiliary weapon. Very spacious cargo hold.

Hull: 500/500
Crew: 30/100
Supplies: 10
Fuel: 10
Cargo: 30/100
Pages: x5 wrathful pages
Guardian: Silver Soaked Toy

Equipment

Engine: Stoneheart CCX

-Average Fuel consumption, will never overheats

Front weapon : Wall's front (, 30-45 Damage vs Beast, 30-35 Damage vs Ship)
-A large ramming end which will make ships more vulnerable to further attacks.
-Can use literary pages on them for different effects.

it is time to set sail! The pirate haven should be close by.

On the horrors of the sea...
The Sea, has nothing natural about it. It is the flowing blood of a dead mechanical goddess. Madness will plague the minds of you and crew the further you stay away from land fighting sea beast, delving into the unthinkable etc. Lower your madness by returning to ports and other relaxing interactions. Don't Lose your mind.

Dilation is how the sea alters your body. It has very slow buildup compared to madness. Time works differently in the sea...a constant state of Dilation that can turn a single Sea day to a full week on land. A ship's Guardian negates most of said alterations but not all of them. To undo the effects of Dilation, Rewind your body via Time-menders who are commonly found in ports or find a Time Splinter across the sea. Don't Lose your body.

20th of February, 1843 PK (Post Kyth) The Wall had set sail for the first time, the mists of the shrouded isle shall obscure your home while you are gone. You shall return soon enough with your master.

SD-1 (Sea Day) : Your crew were carved to work relentlessly without a moment of respite. Why didn't your master make them like you? You feel so lonely already.

SD-2 : You played with your silver soaked toy. A tea party, yes, yes...this is a childplay but it made you feel happy. You wished you could have more stone friends when you grew up. [-4 Madness]

SD-3 : An uneventful day, You saw an insect (or Kerkit) pirate ship which immediately sailed away the moment they saw your stone ship. Why? Those men of wings are strange.

SD-4 : The Heart of Kyth shines greatly in the skies. Green soothing light caressing the sea and her children. A work of the god skull. [-3 Dilation]

Half dead

Your mute guardian kept hopping on your chest as you were sleeping , you woke and followed her enthusiastic trail outside to the main deck. The crew was ignoring a small wooden plank with a Verminian clinging to her life. Why is this rat so tiny? Are all of them white like her? Your master told you about them before. Uplifted rats by the vacuous goddess Cage, they speak, breed and die quickly as far as you know.

This one looks more Humm-like, Verminians differs in shape and form "Sir, H-elp!" she cried, her raspy voice is barely audible from here

It was leagues above you in hiding. When it was its turn, You looked over and over for it. Where is it? Where it? You sat alone on your bed, sad and defeated.

Not for long! It was under your bed this whole time! After climbing over your mountainous back, it hugged your cheeks before giving it an innocent kiss. You carefully put it in its tiny stone-carved bed. Sleep well, you.

SD-5 : A humdrum day. You wished your crew was more...alive. Not all Vein Mountains are created equal.

SD-6 : A clowder of obsidian Slug Grimalkin meowed 'waaaaaa' requesting refuge on your ship, after ordering your crew to lower their rifles, The Slug Grimalkin climbed over. They spent the whole day basking in the soothing heartlight of Kyth. Before they would leave, its leader - a reddish one riddled with scars - regurgitated some skins for you jumping back to the sea with its tiny little spear. [+50 skin]

Combat?

"There sir! Follow their trail of black fire!" The rat woman pointed towards a tempest brewing in the horizon. Oh, this can be quite a challenge navigating through the Kyth's notorious bloodbolts. Your master spoke of them once, the heart of Kyth still recalls the fatal memories of a battle lost. Such anger manifests into these merciless tempests. The Wall braves the ongoing storm, the enemy ship is in sight...

Then a giant beast emerges from the ireful skies above preying upon your target! An avian machination born from the wickedness of husks or men of iron. Its glaring red orbs were fixed on the devil ship half its size.

"Drat! As if the whole world is against me." The Radiant Ratalouguer sighs "Do what you must, I have faith in your judgement, kind sir."

The Husk Vulture could tear their ship apart but its claws could barely scrap the mighty stone of the wall. Then again, It is huge in size ...who knows what dreadful weaponry are installed by the forgotten husks.

>Attempt to steer away from the conflict, approach the victor and deal with it.

Impact
Your ship was too barely able to out maneuver the black trail of fire. Ramming is near impossible from this side.

The Wall endured a lucky hit from the devil ship as they were still struggling with the vulture. The husk spawn unleashed a powerful gust of wind the moment you rammed its prey. Is it fleeing to the grey skies? You can't see it no more. what is that harmless red beam of light? why does it keep alternating between both ships?

Victory?

Ship clashes against ship. Your men ready with rifles, pistol and swords the devilish menace. While your enemies were far more superior than yours, they sorely lacked the numbers. You are another story however ; Fire does little to you. You shrugged off most bullets as if they were nothing. One of them tried to stab you in the back, you grabbed in sword twisting it with his frail and tiny arm before pulling out his spine and lashing another with it. Fight honorably , you.

You wished to honour the captain with a duel but He has decided to perish on his own terms, with a loud explosion on the main deck. Had it been inside, the ship would have blown in half.

You stand among shattered and charred stones, now lifeless. A purpose dearly fulfilled. You never wished harm on anyone but sometimes wrongdoers must be punished with death. A sad outcome.

A Great haul

Quickly now! They went back and forth in few precious minutes. Just as the last man returned to the wall, the stubborn vulture was descending from the skies in a ludicrous speed. It spewed some strange bile before diving right into the vacant ship like a mortar from the heavens obliterating it in a blink . The explosion had created a large wave which clashed to the side of the Wall violently almost toppling it off.

You lost 12 hull points (total 450/500)
You lost Boon: Silver-Kissed (Sea blood)

You had little time to inspect the haul ; The husk Vulture resurfaced from the water screeching at you in defiance. Soon, it will fly here for its next prey. You.

An escape

"That i can do ,sir, stand back." She pulled out one of her teeth which was actually a cleverly hidden pin . she used it to draw special symbols on the safe to open it revealing absolute darkness inside. A bottomless pit.

The Verminian pulled out a couple of Literary pages and spread them on the floor. Unnatural words, all migrating to a single page. Then a blast.

The seething light has done some damage to the ship. You look the skies, it is fractured spilling visions from the past...a time splinter ?
The Vulture was caught in the shimmering air around it, practically frozen in time.

This gave you enough time to escape by the stone skin of your teeth. It is over.

You lost 15 hull points (Total 435/500)

"Combining Literary pages is forbidden by the Humm Ministry of f Indecorous Discoveries and their Matriarch. Luckily, i don't abide to their laws." The Rat woman was injured by her own creation clutching to her midsection "Would you be interested in escorting me back to Veratte? You have risked your life for my sake. The Obsidian Wreckage

So this is the flagship of the Glass men. Half sunken, toppled to her side and claimed by pirates. They were fighting Humms over the Heart of Kyth. The largest gaping hole in the center served as the harbor filled to the brim with all manners of ships. There was practically no where for you to dock!

While you were assessing this situation, a black flag approached your ship ordering you to stop. Its crew had it all: Humms, Kerkits, Glass men, Stone men (who acts like you) , Verminians and Fire men.

Their captain was a scruffy Humm, his right hand had an empty bottle of spirits while his left held a drunken sword.

"Morning G...Gents!" He burped, not bothering to cover his mouth "You're..you are entering our waters, the fine and free waters of Vieer. State your business..and.." He almost fell over "Hand over...something, a symbolic tribute to our boss! Cheers to that!"

A Tribute

"It'll do..." he muttered " Welcome to the wreckage of the free where every sodding bastard is treated equally. I'll reserve the next spot for you. Come, follow me lead."

You lost x1 fuel (total 7)

A couple of hours later, you finally made it to the improvised harbor. Due to the size of the Wall, it was not an easy task. It went smoother with the drunken pirate though. You noticed dozens of small holes on the exterior for cannons. Of course one of the most illegal hubs in the sea has to be fortified.

The Harbor itself was a hotpot of commotions. Busy walkways of metal scraps and wood cobbled together with no railings. So many people and noises, it is very disorienting.

The moment you stepped into the harbor, a disfigured man was impatiently waiting for you, a disproportionate hand, no lips, rotten and flayed skin, a missing ear. He was coughing a black liquid in his stained napkin, clearly in pain. Are those one of the Dilated your master told you about? Could be the case , yes. This one has suffered from excessive time dilation. Normally, dilation has many different effects on the children of the sea...from a swift death to a horrible existence as an abomination or an endless state of immaterial limbo. He is somewhere in between.

The man pulled out a cigarette, a gravelly voice addressed you " First visit? I'll make it very, very simple for you, stonehead. We are 'good pirates'. Good pirates work for the Northern Scarlet. Northern Scarlet Good, Thernn and their harlot of a Matriarch bad. Bad Matriarch send spies here. Very Bad. Northern Scarlet has bottom-of-the-barrel guys like me to sniff out spies . Good pirates report bad spies. Me follow you. Me stay with you until you bye bye, you dig?"

Suspicion

"Then you wouldn't mind me searching your ship..." He went aboard without asking for your permission, followed by a couple of lackeys.

You held your guardian gently during this search; no one will get their hands on it. While they didn't find anything, they had a fierce argument with you passenger. It took three Verminians and a peculiar guardian to sort this thing out. A bottomless safe can contain all sorts of secrets.

"You are in the clean, Stonehead. I'll still follow you around. How about 100 skins for my other services? I'll be your guide and guard ..." he cleared his throat "Alright fine, skip the guard part. Your skin is too thick for our lowlives"

The Middle Deck

This is terrifying! You had to use rickety stairs riddled with muck and filth since you were too heavy for the elevator. The floor creaked with each step of yours as if it was on the verge of collapse.

The area was in pure chaos, hundreds of small shacks built on top of each other. There was a sizable market at the center where pirates and the like buy, sell and eat a plethora of food and supplies. This might look like the residential area, there were some other structures dotting the far corners of the middle deck. Reaching them i-

"Heyyy big boy, Care for some quality time?" A woman of fire with a flashy red baroque was all over you gently stroking your bare chest. She wore almost next to nothing! Is she really that poor?

The deviless puffed a harmless ring of fire from her petit mouth "I'll melt you real good, i'll even let that pile of meat watches us...you hear that? " The Distorted once-Sculptor had something to say but words dissipated his mouth, he simply looked the other way.

Violence

"I will be your snake key for tonight," Why is she smiling like that? You found her tugging your hand like how a needy child would "Let's go someone more private. I'll give you a tast-"

"Hands off, harlot. he is not going anywhere with you." The dilated shoved her aside which prompt her to scream for help? What? A simple shove does not warrant a desperate scream.

Out of nowhere, a punch sent your company on the floor. A large man (barely close to your chest though) with greyish skin walked right passed you to kick him more. Is that an Ashen? You have never seen one before. It is said that they simply came to be from the outside world, covered in desolate ashes which merged with their skin and eyes. They are not exactly treated well in Humm colonies.

A kick after another. A small crowd encircled you. All were amused by what it seemed to be a regular thing. You heard a lot of cusses primed at him and the dilated in general. Something about bringing bad luck to those around them.

Your giant hands grabbed him by the shoulders, a little bit of pressure and you would have broken his bones but you didn't. Highly unnecessary. He did understand the message backing off. The crowd would soon disperse.

"Huh..no one stood up for this fleshy rug before." The dilated managed to get up on his own, spitting blood on the floor. He was a tad indifferent about it "You said something bout a key? I'll return you the favour and save you the hassle. You are looking for a Ratfolk in the lower deck. She hoard all manner of keys. On the trail

The Lower deck had dozens of shops trading illegal goods freely with no Thernni regulations whatsoever. Some were mere stands, others were in actual buildings, heavily secured. The contrast was clear. The whole day was spent trying to locate this tiny rat. Her shop was set up way in the back where filth (and sometime corpses ) are to be disposed of via a giant hatch.

The Verminian was slightly bigger than your guardian , she had a large carpet with many keys for sale. No two keys were the same. All were connected to a thread which was wrapped around her. Behind her, a giant black dog sleeps whom the rat woman was resting on its belly "Keys! Keys! Buy, buy, buy,buy..."

The dog instantly barked when you two approached them "Down boy! Down! We got a customer, buy, buy, buy..."

The ratfolk actually pulled out a shiv from under the carpet. Her large canine friend licked her rattish hot head which prompted her to calm down "Sorry, sorry, I-i-i-i sometimes forget i am selling these things. This fixation is hard hard , stony man." She pulled out another thing from under the carpet, this time it was the snake key!

"He asked for anything related to Vuuld . Ungrateful, Mouthful urchin! He didn't buy this beauty. Said something about 'not the right key' . Bah! My keys are all right and sound! Buy one, yes? Buy, buy, buy..."

Before you could say anything, the snake key flickered on the carpet. What? It talks??? "I hate you, I hate you, wretched vile thing! You, bulky one, buy me! I will show you the riches of the world, it will be worth the price! First, Buy me from this maniac! The things she did to me and my lifeless brethren...please, BUY ME."

Hills of unwanted trash almost touched the high ceiling. Lower forms of Verminians dotted the area, constantly scavenging and breeding for what little time they had in this world. It was in their blood to seek rancid places like this. Their numbers were regularly culled by the spinebound unfortunate enough to handle this mess. They are walking skeletons of various races cursed/blessed by the Goddess spine to remain in this world until a certain purpose is fulfilled.

Other homeless and some dilated settled here as well; too sickly for work and too poor to leave. A rotten fate. The spinebound did not seem to mind their presence unlike the Ratfolk.

They lived and died in this filth, the outside world is of little import to them. However, An old Verminian revealed himself from the filthy shadows, without a tail or hind legs. He has seen a lot, definitely intrigued by your question.

"You ask of the Ivory vaults? They are the hidden pools of knowledge in the darkest bellies of Thernn. The Matriarch dedicated a whole ministry to for hoarding anything written of value in these vaults."

The old Rattus pushed his tiny cart towards you, his kind lost their intrest in you as the scattered around for their usual activities "Nigh impermeable this vault, young stone child. The Ivory and Marble doesn't belong from this world. Another for a juvenile goddess."

When asked about the Hand-of-Pages, The old rat laughs then proceeded to cry "Innocent, Merciful King of Rats. One of the first few enlightened by mother Cage. He breached the Vault by means unknown and merged his essence with one of the most powerful pages ever collected. He escaped Thernn to the farthest corner in the world to form Veratte...somewhere we can call home."

A spinebound worker walked past you with a new haul to throw on the pile almost stepping on the Ratman had it not been for your intervention "Hand-in-pages slowly began to lose his form. He manifests as the paper counterpart of the sanguine throne... A palace made from gibbering literary pages. The throne room has its head, still intact from the madness he blighted his body with. What a true shame."

Misery

After a round of beggars and other clingers, you kept walking around the piles of garbage until a moan of pain has altered you to the whereabouts of an old Ashen lady frantically searching through broken glass shards and other hazardous rubbish. Her slim fingers were scrapped by a thousand cut, her fingernails were torn apart. She covered herself in rags, already hunching over due to the large luggage strapped to her back. A small silver torso dangles from a necklace made from dried fingers.

She looks at you with her one good eye. Dismay, misery, pure suffering...all written on her face. She opens her mouth, Words struggling to come out "H...have you seen Edward? Edward...h-h-he is my son. He is ...Edward. His..name is..is Edward. Sweet young boy, I-i-i can't find him! You are big and str-ong. C-c-an yyou...help? He is hiding!
