Making the hole as big as your fist the surrounding grass starts to tug gently as the hole was opening from the fabric of space. Small pebbles starts to drag through the hole sucking whatever small enough to be fit inside the hole. You even saw an ant futilely struggles it's legs as it is also suck inside the hole. Not wanting to know how long you can hold this hole you raise your hand and signal Mary to get ready. Tossing the black hole in the air Mary starts shooting. The first one nearly hit the mark but for some reason the arrow changed trajectory and sucked the arrow. The second and the third one hit true as the arrows directly sucked into the hole. 3 seconds later the hole disappeared. Mary jumps around ecstatic for her eventual headpats and maybe attention. The hole is very useful but it takes a long time to charge and it takes 10 seconds before it disappear. It's not that useful in a fight but it has some niches.

My MGS V shitposting made me think of this: What if we are not actually Junko but a shadow with her memories. Okada found the shadow of plague and magical girls suffering spawns shadows. We were "dead" for about two months, not quite nine years, but may be Okada is..."Pretty good (makes the hand gesture)". He found the shadow of wrath the opening battle left behind and altered in in some way. Or it could be for narrative convenience.

I'm more biased towards will than hope because although hope is what what burns the shadows, willpower/determination or whatever is the driving force behind everything everyone does. I mean, there are research papers that say that once one has lost the will to live the heart stops in matter of days; translating that on a magical aspect should be easy. Mary happily digs down the cakes that was given while you take the black forest. Both of you sink from the sweet sweet pastries and a soothe and calming tea which washes your exhaustion away.

Looking for clues it seems that some items are missing. But only the small ones. Yuu tries one last thing before she goes home.

Her field of vision turned blue all of the sudden and time slows down. She saw traces of corruption with some concentrated on the living room. Cancelling it and going to the bedroom she saw similar results with a higher concentration on the table.

"Did Mari attacked by a shadow? No impossible. She would contact either Sachiko or Rei."

Yuu ponders what is happening to Mari as her investigation goes way too deep but one day she will know what is happening. For now she returns home and think what would be her next step.

The general line is a reference to the first time Junko met Yuu back in the first or second thread. Junko kept on being edgy talking about how she was a demon. So why would anyone want to be her friend? Yuu countered with if Junko was a demon queen she would need a capable general to help her out.

Except we don't actually know she's doing that. I want to try and stay within the limit of what Junko is actually capable of doing and knowing. Yuu's character arc in this is just as important as Junkos even if we're getting Yuu parts a bit less often. She's not our puppet. she's our friend. I don't want to take her agency away when the draw of her portions (for me at least) is how she's reacting to things independently of Junko and piecing things together. It's also much less fun when you're controlling two characters working closely together that act exactly the same and get along.
That's also why i keep on voting to find out about when the plane crash happens. If Mari is dead after she was seen acting strangely then Yuu's leads into Mari dry up and she's left to assume that Mari's family tried to send her away to get better after she started spouting shadowlings Since the plane crashed, she then would think that any shadows Mari made are stuck on the bottom of the ocean.
There's still a slight chance of further questioning and some crit sucess on noticing how evil the mansion is, but Okada probably isn't dumb enough to actually harm Yuu after we just had that massacre go off under the pretense that somebody else took our prey from us. Yuu might not even make it past the front gate since she'd be trying to get answers and normal people don't like it when you break into their house in the middle of the night to ask something you could have asked during the daytime or via phone.

TLDR Okada shouldn't be a threat to her if we get to faking Mari's death properly.

I understand where you are coming from. My post is strictly conjecture based on my assumptions of the plot and meta-information. However it has been a couple of days since Junko left a note for her friend and I think it would be well with in her character to want to talk to her. Any speculation on events happening further than that are not in my vote and thus, are just speculation.
I don't want to take Yuu's agency away. I am not suggesting we corrupt and puppet her. I want more interaction between the two characters. I want to leave it up to her (corruptor) what to make of us and choose her actions of her own free accord. Since we confirmed to her that we are alive there is no reason to ignore her.

As our alibi for Mari's location. I agree we have to do something. I have wanted to do something since Mari died. There have been two options presented, both have advantages and disadvantages. I would gladly vote for either as I brought both of them up in the past.
A.) Mari dies in a staged plane crash. Advantage: Mari is dead. No one will ask any questions. Disadvantages: Mari's family is wealthy and powerful. A plane crash is not a subtle way for someone to disappear. The "death" of a young heiress will attract media attention. Thus Mary can not go out in public without shapeshifting or a really good excuse for a long time. The same applies to shapeshifting into Mari.
B.) We tell the girls an alternate version of what happened from Mari's prospective, telling enough of the truth to make the lie convincing. Mari was kidnapped by the gang that got liquidated by Mary. Some how she got away and is now in hiding. Advantages: We can still shapeshift into Mari/take Mary out in public without prying eyes from the general public. We could always stage the plane crash later if we run into trouble. Disadvantages: The girls will be concerned for her well being. They will probably think that she is spawning shadows. We could try to mitigate these factors by either posing as her or pretending that she is mad at her friends and wants nothing to do with them anymore.
(Anons shit on this plan last thread because the wanted to see what would happen if we left everyone to their own devises and were worried about lying when we have a corrupt businessman in our pocket that could bribe his way out of an investigation.)
C.) We do nothing and relay on the story that Okada told Mari's parents to buy us more time. Advantge: We have more time. Disadvantages: We are running low on said time. Answers no questions in a satisfactory manner. Keep it up and we will reap the consequences of our stupidity.

We do not control Okada. If we are out, we have no clue what he might do. The house is fortified with many shadows. With out our presence who knows what would happen in that scenario. He might kill Yuu to try to earn our favor.

Thanks to mary it's a safe bet that yuu's going to ask her mom who delivered our letter, find out "Mari" is with us and likely confront us about it and a plane crash would definitely tip off that we have direct ties to Okada.

If so and we still want yuu on our side were going to have to set the record about her "condition", something along the lines that we found out about her kidnapping by human traffickers and went after because even she didn't deserve what they had planned for her, she became like that soon after we found her, she massacred the kidnappers but has no recollection prior and became attached to us either out of gratitude, because she sees how were the "same" or if some part remembers and is guilty that it was her idea to leave us to die.

That was a bridge I was going to cross when we heard back from Yuu. If she brought it up during the phone conversation Junko would tell her that this was one of the things she needed to discuss/show her in person.
Then we would bring Mary (hammering into her not to hurt Yuu or come out until we called her and we are going to be talking about some nasty stuff so she needs to be strong for us.) have her stay in a back room during our meeting. Them knowing about shadow Mari means we can probably ambush them if Mari is bait and we actually train in how to cloak ourselves from being scanned. We have whatever shadowling army Okada has at his disposal available for minions. We need to actually use it in order to thin them out so that we can take on Okada in the future.

Focus on that spawning shadow and then take out their DPS so that we actually have a fighting chance against the MG group if/when things are beyond our control. Your destination was on Okada's mansion where you thought Mari would be hiding but if Mari is getting out of the town then you will fucking beat her with her poor excuse she has been. You clench your fist on this situation. It's all messed up. You should be happy right now but if you deduce something about it. Junko is a shadow. From her phone, at the back of her house, the familiar feeling of her house that was dispelled with hope which you felt from Junko, the mysterious disappearance of shadows. All of it. In the shadows Junko still works as a MG yet at the same time she can't risk being seen by your group or they will gun her down. Arriving at the dock you see the big ship floating on the harbor. You sneak on the ship not wanting to be seen. When you are at the top most of the ship, you released a skill where it was very useful finding things.

You didn't expect something like this but there are a group of people who are loading something on a ship. You don't know what is inside but you feel that Mari is one of those in the container. There is 25 people with different weapons ranging from blunt weapons, wooden batons, pistols and worst an assault rifle. You summon your knuckles and readying your stance.

Regardless of if Yuu calls for backup it will take some time for them to arrive. Her best bet is to try to draw the thugs into a funnel, since the guys up front aren't armed. There is two paths we can take.

She doesn't want the other girls to interfere with the curbstomping she wants to give Mari and normal humans are kinda weak. Mary massacred an entire building. Yuu can handle a small group on a dock that can't even reach her if she jumps. She could just do a Cuchulain and chuck rocks until they all die.

Magical girls are way stronger than everyone there. Heck, these guys are evil enough that she could probably just do some modified memory wipe spell to knock them all unconscious if she had a knack for enfeebling magic. The assault rifles are the "threat" and even if Yuu has crappy shields she can just shove one in front and walk to them. I dunno how she knows there are assault rifles inside but I'm gonna assume her scanning figured that out. The real issue is if MGs are glass canons or not since they seem superhuman in every other way.

As far as the girls know. All of them can learn elemental magic. But to do it takes a lot of time, concentration and some little talent on it. For example: Mari have a wind affinity due to having a clue of shooting arrows very very fast. She just meditating with the supervision of Rei and obtained Wind Magic.

Yuu on the other hand has a versatile skill set although she didn't bother to learn magic since she wants to be like Junko.....or at least its her opinion of whatever Junko has, she also have. (Although that would be pretty ridiculous for Yuu that from the start they have different skill set already.)

I think it's the opposite. She's only after Mari to confront her for what she did. If she calls for backup, the backup could easily just mindwipe her again from her perspective. I'm not sure how she expected to beat Mari given Mari's ranged advantage but I guess that lack of stamina is a carryover from when she was an MG.

What if the horn-dog thug is the guy we are jumping after and he is going to be too busy gawking a frilly pantsu to fire his weapon.

The goons are creeping to her closer as Yuu frantically looks for a way out. Even though you can 1v1 them very easily, against a group is a different story. Best thing is to hit and run. Bolting trough the side, the goons starting to chase you. Jumping at the crate, the ones that carries blunt weapons are charging at you

The guys at the entrance are readying their pistols as they fire at your position. You dodge the incoming bullets as one of their allies got hit by a stray bullet. Another one approach you to hit your head and you immediately duck and kick him on the stomach sending him below and knocking 2 guys below. The last one is chasing at you while you run ready to jump at the ship where one guy at the bow of the ship readying his sights at you. Jumping the ship he starts to fire yet the shots are too wide as he didn't expect you to jump very very fast. The one chasing you who likes to pretend like he can sort of fly, drop so quickly on the water. Flying through the ship, you extend your feet which your cheesily shout.

I'm surprised Junko did not immediately enter combat to help her Yuu. Either she thinks Yuu's got this (Then why was Junko scared off by a couple of guys with pistols during Mari's kidnapping?) or her corruption is worse than I thought.

Checking the aftermath below, you see the crate doors dented open to see a white kind of powder. The goons realized what was inside start scooping and snorting on their noses. Your peeking was interrupted by bullet fires. You immediately go to cover thinking how you will deal with these firearmed bad guys.

Once we cleared the gunmen, there is nothing stopping Yuu from pressing her advantage in close combat. There are a pair of viable choke points. The first is the loading port (red oval) it funnels the hand to hand guys around the fallen container and we can fall back and further bottleneck the guys between the shipping containers on board (lavender routes). There is kind of an alleyway created by shipping containers to the north of the map (Blue oval.) It would forced the unarmed guys to come at us one by one and force the guys with blunt objects to come down from their perch. I have a rough plan to deal with the gunmen too. I just want to see how Corruptor moves them before I give it away.

These guys display...lot of loyalty for a hired gun. Seriously if I were them I would consider cashing in my pinkie fingers to get out of this alive. We just crushed like eight of them with the container.A calculated gamble. I wasn't expecting the dc to be so high and I thought we could crush the gunmen and cut the ship off while Yuu called for backup. It did not work out that way but it didn't fail outright either. There are just some goons hired to watch/ offload brocane this seems kind of above the pay-grade.

I just came up with another plan. Yuu's little stunt here probably cost somebody a lot of money. The Yakuza are also antsy about somebody killing off the entire trafficking operation. What if Junko forwarded the names on our magical girl hit list to the yakuza who run this operation. We might need to kidnap Yuu and get her family out of town, but the last thing Sachiko and Co. would expect is the Yakuza coming after them. Once they help us deal with the other girls we can double cross them when they expect to give up Yuu. It's just a hair brained scheme. I have not put much thought into it. The girls expect to deal with shadows, but they are probably poorly prepared for ruthless human adversaries to pursue them. Probably a good way to get one or more of them to fall into despair without resorting to massive collateral damage from constant shadow attacks.

Opening all container crates contents met with similar results. It seems that you didn't bust a human trafficking but rather a drug ring. That still leave a lot of option though.
