CRABS FOR THE CRAB GOD, BOATS FOR THE BOAT THRONE
>>
>Merchant Management (working crews, training, recruitment.)
>Social (Talk to someone, look for work someone needs done, etc)

We should plan out our defensive positions in depth for when the Empire inevitably retaliates. Drilling can begin tomorrow but having a clear idea of everyone's role during a siege will go a long way towards ensuring our survival especially with the disorganization of the Merchants.

We should also go check in on Squealer briefly. Her project should be done by now.

and have some of our boys keep building up the crab job/boats. Never know what you could do with more boats, plus if we start catching enough we can sell the surplus for a nice new side profit

Aaaawwwe. Well let's do recruitment in the general docks area. Does someone have a nokia we can borrow for calls, or could Steve lend a ghost? In case of calls?

Before you decide to prowl the city, you begin to lay the plans of what should be done if the unthinkable, yet highly probably, happen. You have Red begin to plan evacuation routes, gun towers, and marking the areas for kill boxes.

You make the mistake of going to see the finished work of Squealer.

"WATCH OUT!" You hear the blonde Tinker scream as a high pitched whining grows in intensity. You hit the deck as fast as you can, and not a moment too late. Above the world flashes a bright blue.

You blink away the pain as you try to recover your vision, and the smell of ozone fills your nostrils. You can barely hear the sound of Squealer giggling to herself, dancing around in the afterglow of her success.

"Did you see that, Holy Shit! That was fucking killer, man!" Looking at the car sized hole in the door you just walked through, you make the tactical choice to do a 360 turn and walk out.
>>3185314
You walk around the Docks with Red, looking for any drifters while he gives you the history of the area.

"See that is the old run down Grayson Dock, it was built when I was a lil fucker man. Used to sneak out of school and smoke reefer out here." You make casual conversation as you two walk along. Checking through some alleys in the setting sun you find about 30 assorted men and women scrounging around. Red approaches them

"Hey gents, my name's Red. We got some warm food back in the Boat Graveyard, nice beds and whatnot. Would y'all like to come with?" The acceptance from the group takes some time, but eventually they all come around. Red takes his leave to escort them back to the base.

You begin to stroll through the Market, whistling an eerie tune. Just because no one would believe whoever saw it.

>>3185327

You hear a roar of an engine in the distance. It's near deafening, but you can tell its about 3 blocks down. It's almost like someone fed steroids to a motorcycle.

He brandishes his Halberd with a flourish. He sweeps his gaze back and forth across the alley. Raising his hand to his temple, he speaks to the empty alleyway.

"Dispatch, this is Armsmaster. The report on Famine was likely a bust. No eyes on."

"So... nice bike."

"Dispatch, initiate M/S protocols when I return to base. Famine has displayed an apparent Stranger skill set." He's doing that hand to the temple motion again.

"You know it's rude to ignore someone-" He interrupts you, double rude! Who raised this ingrate?

"Famine, you are being investigated for the several murders of Brockton Bay civilians, and the two cases of arson just last night. Surrender, and I will take you in for questioning. The courts will likely take it easy on you considering your Case 53 status and lack of memory." He shouts while twirling his butter knife on a stick. Is this what he calls negotiations?

"Listen, I'm gonna stop you right there mat-" He interrupts a second time!

"Are you resisting arrest?" He asks lowly as he tilts his heat.

"Possibly... Potentially... Maybe.... YES!" You shout as you surge forward, claws slicing through the air.

Armsmaster rolls backwards, and with a quick twist of his wrists, the blade of his halberd glows red.

As he readies his halberd for an attack, the red-hot blade screams through the air. It hits your flesh and sizzles.
>-40 VITALITY

>+35 VITALITY
You look down at the blade embedded in your gut, and chuckle.

"Now you're just being a cunt." You say as you rear you elongated hand back, and smack him clear across the chest and face. He flies back through the air, and slams into his bike with the clash of metal on metal.

You pull out the still burning blade that was his supposed counter to you. With a flick of the wrist, you snap it like a twig. Just to add insult to injury, you open your maw, chew, and swallow.

We also risk killing him, because who knows if our hands might slip or not on such delicate work.

"Armsmaster come in, come in right damn now! Send a fucking COA team to his last position right fucking now."

You thumb the small notch in his helmet where he touched. You rasp out "Hey... um, sorry. He's fine."

You peel him out of the crushed bike, and toss him to the side into a dumpster. You go to the brick wall above it, and scrawl the sign of your gang.

The Archer's Bridge Merchants ride again.

Then like a bad cartoon villain you hoist the bike over your head, and jog down the street, taking massive bites as you go. Oil, coolant, and fuel pour over you like the lifeblood of a dying beast.

>+1 RECLAMATION

Finishing your meal, you dropkick the carcass of the bike across the Bay.

>The ambush by Armsmaster took one action
>Day 4 has begun.

(Gonna try to get my sleep schedule back on track. See you guys tomorrow!)

>Day 4 has begun.
A new day and a new set of tasks. Let's tell some people (Squealer, Mush, Steve, and Red) about the Armsmaster encounter unless they already heard about it over the news, then ask Squealer what's she gonna do now that's she's finished with her death laser. After that id want to know what happened to the guys that got injured in the safe house fight? They alright? Did Tommy Lee make it?

For the fence idea I'm not sure anymore. Would that obstruct our view if people were to try and and attack us- maybe not. We've got a good view from the top of the ship over most of the area. I'm thinking we should help recover more ships for crabbing and doing the fence I guess?
>>
Oh and uh I guess tell am about the part we ate his stuff?

>>
>>3185862
Forgot to include this in my post but, is there a limit to how much we can eat? Where does our hunger cap at? Is there even a cap?

Can we convince someone to make the gloves from the welding area?

Is the crabbing boat too big for a trailer?
>>

We need to arrange Merchant funerals for the lost ones who fought for our dream.
Then work on finding capes and ascertaining when exactly all this is happening. It's clear that we are running around post-Leviathan seeing as he caused our trigger, but in that case where's the Undersiders?
Then, we need to get intel on that new Empire Cape.
Also, we've really neglected the PRT, and we should fix that by thinking of strategies to fuck them over.
We should then look into the ABB, see if they have any new capes. Skidmark's Master Plan of Mercantilism might involve ABB attacks, so we should prepare for that (and learning more about our enemies doesn't hurt in any case).
We should try to get on Coil's ass after that. The guy's just way too slippery as far as we know and we haven't focused on him at all.
Finally, we should learn about the minor factions in Brockton Bay.

So, our to-do list in order of decreasing priority is:
>Headcount and possible funeral services
>Find out what the date is (should have done this a lot earlier, tell me if we have already) so we can place ourselves somewhere within canon
>Look into new Empire cape
>Look into ABB
>Look into PRT, strategise against them
>Look into Coil
>Look into minor players like the Undersiders and the Mercenaries (Faultline's crew and the Travelers)

Leviathan attacks Brockton Bay on May 15, 2011 in the timeline. The one Levi attack that happened before BB attack that we know from Worm canon is Newfoundland, Canada on May 9, 2005 - 6 years before the BB attack. Wendigos and similar shit tend to be Canada-centric due to the wilderness, so who knows? It should be noted that Dragon originates from Newfoundland:

>When Leviathan attacked and sunk Newfoundland on May 9th, 2005, Richter died and Dragon transferred her data, the house program, and a half dozen other small programs to a backup server in Vancouver. She then repurposed herself as a superhero; managing and tracking information while serving as a hacker for the PRT in exchange for funding.

Hmmmmmm
>>
>>3186370
And according to the PHO interlude from thread 1 in the archives, Famine's attack on Stormtiger and Rune was January 1, 2011 - although all the other posts on that PHO thing said January 1, 2000, so I guess it's HWM fucking up the dates without noticing?
>>
>>3186370
>We need to arrange Merchant funerals for the lost ones who fought for our dream.
But we did that didn't we? Funeral by sea and celibration?
The current date in world is 1/9/2011. Pretty sure it is. I was keeping track of the date amoung other things. I'm not following why we need to find capes though.
We know that the new cape can punch lightning. We kind of had some insight into his powers last thread when he chased off one of the merchants groups sent to spy on the warehouse. No clue how you expect to get more details on his powers though. Lightning seems to be his thing.
Isn't the PRT the police or something? I'm all for attacking if they attack first. Then committing to sever more attacks.
Why would we go after Coil and does Famine know of him yet?

>>3186386

The Endbringer attack before Leviathan going for Brockton Bay is Simurgh going for Canberra, Australia on February 24, 2011. Whatever the fuck happened, the Simurgh apparently "won" so they had to seal the whole place under a dome. Whatever it was, it involved samples being "retrieved" for investigation. Wildbow himself wrote a trigger event related to this, which might as well be canon:

> "It is the worst case scenario. You're the first this morning to enter the lab where you do all your biohazard work, testing bacteria, parasites, viruses and potential cures, when the lights go off, the emergency lighting and sirens kicking in. In your sprint to the end of the hall, you see the disaster, a cart tipped, containers broken. You stand there, your heart dropping into your stomach, knowing you've already died. The papers that were on the cart read, very simply, 'Canberra'. The Simurgh. The name is enough to push you to trigger."

It's also apparently the reason why Canary got Birdcaged. And that's terrible.

>Wildbow:
>Think of it in terms of political context, the simurgh attack on Australia being recent & rather a loss for the good guys, her being a Simurgh-alike, news & public perception turning on her, and other factors playing in.
>For Canary's court case ending up an uphill battle.
>People are ~scared~ of mind/emotion control.

>>
>>3186654
>Paranoid

No, not in the fucking least. As stated here >>3185827, I’m all for it.

But not NOW. We’re strong, yes, but for now we need to focus on consolidating power for the Merchants. Make sure all of our efforts for stability, manpower, and CRABS don’t just get fucking wiped out if the moment comes where we decide to take off and do our own thing.

And we’re not THAT fucking strong. We need to prepare, focus on reclaimation so when the moment comes where we face an enemy that we can’t naturally hard-counter (someone with time distortion, gravity manipulation, etc), we’d have a couple of tricks up our sleeves.
>>
>>3186732
And don’t forget, we’re playing with the ultimate Wild Card. 4chan Dice. A random goon with an RPG was enough to take our agency away, leaving us feeling helpless no matter how strong we are.
>>
>>3186738
In our defence, we turned that goon and all his pals into man-smoothies.
>>
>>3186742
Although we do need more Cape snackpacks.
>>
>>3186732
We kinda are that strong. We may go into feeding frenzy easily, but nothing is gonna kill us. Plus we're tougher than we were back then. Arms halberd can cut through steel like butter and we just laughed it off.
>>
>>3186742
But it could have been worse, anon. A roll is also the only thing that prevented us from trying to paste Steve.
>>
>>3186751
If we fear every roll, we’ll start playing like eating some lunch is going to get The Wards hot on our heels. Ravioli Ravioli, don’t follow the Famine lorry.
>>
>>3186751
But I do see where you’re coming from.
>>
>>3186756
It’s not fear, per se. i just don’t think we should go around thinking we’rr the hottest shit on the block, because there are so many variables and options when it comes to the powers in Worm that being ‘strong’ is kind of arbitrary. We can knock shit in for sure, but when the boot comes down, there are so many ways for us to get stomped that we have to be careful.

My minds kind of a mess right now anyway, so I’m not disagreeing with you guys. I’m just under the impression that laying low, avoiding any unnecessary conflicts beyond our current goals with the Merchants, is advisable.

Squealer’s laser thing would have straight put us on our ass if we hadn’t gotten lucky. That could have been a mess of us slaughtering everyone there.

On that note though, we should try and figure a way to get a better handle on our self control.
>>
>>3186680
>most things in life are 50/50
They really aren't
>>
>>3186795
This isn't really a way to increase self control, but could eat a fuck ton of food before we expect to go into a fight, or we could train to increase our combat prowess to reduce the chances of suffering wounds that would regenerate which would in turn make us hongry.

Beyond the general desire to gather more reclamation, what are we going to do today beyond crabs, Merchant training and reinforcing the Boatyard? We get 5 actions to do a day.

We really should build the fence at the very least.

We should also construct some watch-towers in the tallest ship wrecks with some snipers on standby. Probably set up a couple of heavy gun emplacements if possible. All of that with additional training should make our home into a fortress. Talking with Squealer and getting on crab duty is also advisable.
>>
>>3187581
we have...
>50 units worth of standard arms (pistols, bolt-action rifles.
>35 units of advanced arms (machine guns, grenades, sniper rifles.)
We could probably do that.
On another note, I think I mentioned training at some point. What about doing some training?

Skills:
>Stealth Level 1- All Stealth checks DC's are reduced by 1
>???
>Finger Blades Level 1- Your fingers have been remolded into long, bone like blades that can tear through metal with ease.
>Bestial Strength Level 1- You can easily lift beyond the human limit.
>???
>Cloak of Shadows (Stranger- Allows to take form of a black gas, melds into darkness.)
>>
>>3185862
How much explosives did the merchants use back at the apartment? 1? 2?
>>
>>3187600
Stealth and strength, I get. (Mostly. Would we do some Incredibles epilogue shit and bench press shipping containers or something?)
But how exactly do we improve our finger blades or cloak of shadows? It's not like we can just spam either of them on dummy targets and get xp. Could we sharpen our fingers? And with what, a grindstone? Can we only level up cloak of shadows by actually increasing its limits, or just by using it smarter?

The sun rises in on the Horizon as you walk back to the Freighter. The early risers of the gang wave to you as you walk by, a skeletal grin upon your face. You spot Red leaning against a wall of one of the small scrap structure that have sprawled out of the ship. He's smoking as he talks on the phone.

"You saw it too, yeah... wait hold on he's here." He closes the phone with a snap.

"Holy shit man, we thought we lost you when you didn't make it back all that early last night."

"Could you call Mush, Corrosion, and come along to the bridge with Squealer, I want to explain it only once." At you saying that he has a worried look grow upon his weathered face, and walks back into the ship.

You climb the stairs slowly, like a child being sent to the principal's office. You knock on the door, and get a curt "Come in." from Squealer.

Best to exercise caution, since last time you entered unannounced you almost were lasered.

She is sitting at a metal table, counting stacks of money while filling out an accounting book.

"What's up Famine, you need something?"

"Just waiting for everyone." Within the next five minutes, all the power-players of the smallest gang present arrive. Mush, in his dingy wife beater and cargo shorts, Corrosion contrasted in his faded suit and skimask, and lastly Red (hobo extraordinaire)

"So what's up?" Steve asks as he sips a cup of coffee.

"Well... I ran into Armsmaster last night."

Squealer quickly jumps to cleaning off the coffee coated bills and cursing out Corrosion.

"... I knocked him out... ate his halberd and bike."

Silence...

And then laughter... from the most unlikely sources. Squealer.

It started out low, like a small chuckle, then evolved to giggling, to full out belly laughter. She whips a tear to the side.

"You mean to tell me, you knocked the leader of the PRT Brockton Bay division, and ate his tinker gear?"

"...I threw him in a dumpster, and scratched our symbol above it."

Squealer reaches for a cabinet underneath the table and pulls out a glass of champagne and several glasses. She pours everyone an equal glass.

"Gentlemen... Skidmark is probably gonna nut in his pants. This is a double edged sword, we're gonna need to be ready for retaliation. I need you men to get shit ready for any storm comin."

Steve then pipes up "I was running some food to Rick yesterday, and he saw a girl jogging around and getting close to the Graveyard. We may want to get a fence set up or something."

Red chimes in "Sniper towers near the edge, establish a tight perimeter."

Squealer tips back her glass "Boys, this is why you're the top dogs."

You and Steve oversee the building of the fences around the perimeter of the Graveyard. In front of the roads, which are already blocked with shipping crates, you have piled cars and welded scrap palisades. for lengths in between you help drive in metal poles into the ground for support so crews can weld chain-link re-enforced with boat hull strips.

Meanwhile Red and Mush have small towers constructed on the cranes and bridges of the nearby ships. They're ugly, but they have plenty of room for enough food and ammo for 2 men to stay up there for a week at-least, but that's unnecessary as of right now, but you have the first watch shift start now.

As you stand on top of the shipping crate blocking the main road, you smile a faint smile. The act of people coming together, acting as a community for the betterment of each other.

It's heart warming.

That's when you see it.

The see of red and white marching on the Graveyard, two massive identical women standing to the sides, a shirtless hairy man in a wolf mask, and many others. At least 200 armed men marching at their sides.

At the forefront is a man wearing steel armor of blades.

>Answer the phone.

You pickup the literal brick sized phone in your clawed grasp. Pecking at the buttons like a bird with the long calls, you accept the call. Immediately you are barraged by Squealer's voice.

"WHATEVER YOU FUCKING DO FAMINE, DON'T YOU DARE STEP OUT THAT GATE! WE NEED YOU FUCKER, I'M ON THE WAY WITH RIG, THE LASER, AND THE BOYS, JUST HOLD THEM!" You can hear mass yelling in the background through her screaming.

"I wasn't... can you bring Cricket too?"

"SURE DUMBASS!" Click.

Well shit. You shout to the men in the sniper towers to ready themselves. They give you the ancient thumbs up of confirmation.

(not gonna map this whole encounter, but just setting the scene.)
>>
>>3188588
Let's go beach of Normandy on them.
Steve should be around to back us up.
Can we see the E88's clearly enough to see their faces? Do they seem confidant?

Approximately 10 minutes later, you hear the roaring of the Rig tearing down the gravel road, followed by a war party of other Merchant's in their cars.

Squealer brought the cavalry.

>100 Merchants on scene, all in cars. Armed with whatever is on hand. Machine guns, pistols, you think you see Red holding an RPG and the tinker pistol.

Squealer stops behind the shipping container barricade, and you go to meet her.

She rolls down the bulletproof glass of the Rig, and immediately barks at you. Panic and determination apparent in her voice.

"What's the fucking plan Famine?

>I will give you 30 minutes to plan for the first phase of the combat, there will be three phases.

>Lift the Barricade, and charge out the gate, tear them asunder, try to catch as many capes as you can with a scream
>Begin with snipers taking shots
>Toss Cricket over the wall
>Write in?

(pic related is the Empire's new cape)
>>
>>3188598
>Write in
We come out the gate by ourselves as if we're surrendering, get as close as we can, THEN give a big ol' "fuck you" to their powers. The cars can take care of the goons while we rip and tear the capes and the snipers take potshots to assist.
>>
>>3188598
>Write in
I go out with Cricket as a Hostage and Example then when i get close enough i SCREAM Then you guys light em up then we Win
>>
>>3188598
>Write In

I'm fine with going on the "Exit the gate with Cricket and prepare a scream" tactic.
>>
>>3188610
i agree i hope she does something to freak them out like what did you do to her kind of thing
>>
>>3188598
What are the red marks?
Have the snipers begin marking their lieutenants besides the capes, and see if their two vehicles (the squares right?) have any windows. They're most likely bullet proof.
Get a pair of snipers on the east side and find someplace high in case some try to make their way through the Car Lot.
Ask Steve if it's possible to hide two or three of his ghosts in our shadow, or do they not work like that?

>Toss Cricket over the wall
This will be last. Maybe they might get curious enough to question her to buy us some time.
>>
>>3188618
i like this but if we Toss Cricket over the wall it be hard to hit all the capes with SCREAM
>>
>>3188618
(Squares are the Fenja and Menja, arrows are soldiers, five pointed star is hookwolf one the left, right is Florian Geyer, the six pointed star is Kaiser)

He can three ghosts in your shadow.
>>
>>3188610
Supporting.

Cricket just has to last long enough as a hostage for us to get in close. Make sure Cricket is gagged so she can't warn them.
>>
>>3188598
Well actually I think a sniper should try to get a shot in the new cape when the fight begins. Dude seems to be the least likely to survive from a gun shot.

The thing about running up to them to do te scream attack is actually managing to make the distance. There is a lot of them- not to mention Kaiser's ability to sprout blades from any surface.
>>
>>3188625
and at worst we can use her as a bodyshield
>>3188628
you make a point this is a bit of a gambol but it worth a try.
>>
>>3188628
>>3188628
They have double our men and capes in a straight-up fight so we're gonna have to get daring. It's smart to have Corrosion stick 3 of his guys in our shadows to support our cape fight. Having the snipers go for the newest Empire Cape and their non-powered officers would also be smart.
>>
>>3188637
They could just consider Cricket a lost cause and write her down as collateral though I could be wrong, but using a 6ft lady for a 12ft giant don't seem too much of a decent shield. I think we should have some additional snipers and gunners at high vantage points, though of course they should reduce their viability as much as possible and reposition if any of the caps go after em.

>>3188640
Now that I think about it, if Kaiser tries to put spikes in our feet Steve's ghosts might be able to dissolve them to dust. Perhaps, we can charge, and IF we get caught or take too much damage we can turn to mist or a shade. Then the Merchants can open up with covering fire so we can make the distance as Steve's ghosts cover us. From there it's a hit or miss.

Hmmm. Another idea I got is to get an SUV with a tied up Cricket in the passenger seat and a brick the peddle. aaand maybe a timed explosive or remote controlled one. I'm thinking we could use that to hide in if needed with our shadow powers.
>>
So consensus seems to be go out with Cricket as hostage / body shield Then SCREAM then fuck shit up?
>>
Around the 45 minute mark, what I'm getting is

>Hold Cricket in front of yourself, and step out. Approach. Ghosts in shadow

>When/if close enough, Scream.

>Simulationously have snipers target the new cape

>When hell breaks loose have the men charge.

If so gents.

Grasping the babbling form of Cricket in your claws, you open the metal slab door with a screech. You can hear the cocking of rifles and almost feel the angry gazes boring holes into you.

The only sound you can hear is the crunching of gravel underneath you feet. You get within 25 feet of Kaiser, his gaze shooting daggers, before he speaks.

"That's close enough mongrel, I suppose the olive branch of returning Cricket will be honored. I will make it quick."

"What?!" Cries out Kaiser in shock. The massive iron stake he intended to impale you on rises out of the ground. Two of Corrosion's ghosts wrap around it, melting through, while the third throws you forward 20 feet with it's last action.

Thank's mate.

Kaiser is now within your grasp. You planned on screaming, but free meals are hard to come by. With a quick lunge you wrap your hands around him.

You hear two cracks echo out in the distance, somewhere far away.

"This isn't me Kaiser, I'm far away. This ain't me."

It's go time. You let the headless corpse of the dead emperor fall from your grasp, and bum rush to Hookwolf. He has already morphed into a eldritch mass of whirling blades, hooks, and barbed wire. Behind him you see the eyeless form of the new Empire cape. He screams blindly as he fires off massive blast of lighting from his fists, hitting 2 of the charging cars speeding from the Graveyard. Two birds with one stone.

>Squealer Pov
You speed with the rig through the mass of Empire men, crushing bone and pulping organs. Thank god you made the cabin airtight. You use the console joystick to line up the SQUEALER-LASER 9000 on Bimbo Viking Giant #1, and let it rev. The whining of the growing charge pierces through the cabin, and shakes the whole rig. The lights inside flicker on and off due to the battery drain.

When the capacitors finally spool enough power and plasma, with a crack of thunder and flash that illuminates the entire Brockton Bay skyline the device fires.

You drive blind for a bit, only able to tell you're hitting more empire with the cries of "Mein Leben!" and shit like that. You blink away the temporary retina burns, and see the results of your handywork.

A massive hole in the giant Kaiser's sidepiece's left tit makes butterflies tingle in your stomach.

You're the best motherfucking Tinker in the world.

Then your rig begins to flip and roll as Bimbo #2 gives it a punt.
"FUUUUUUUUUU-" You say before you retch whilst still spinning.

>Famine Pov
The men of the Empire are wheat in the field. You are the Reaper with his scythe, and you shall collect your due. They fire upon you, but you shift into the shadows, and are upon them. One dies as his head spins high through the air. One dies with you crouch atop him, slashing clean through his chest. Getting a running start you sweep your claws, carving through 5 men with a swing of your arm.

Judgement sounds cooler desu but sometimes sacrifices have to be made in memory of the departed. RIP Void.

I'm partial towards the Nords myself. What's not to love about copious amounts of pillaging and shields?
>>
>>3188956
So going with void here, tempted by Judgement though. I like the thematics of what both cards could lead to based on the art/music/name scheme.

Haven't played mount & Blade myself, but I do enjoy watching others play it. I was never very good at strategy games and don't find them much fun to play personally, though I see the appeal and look forward to M&B2 coming out.

Looks like Void is the winning vote. may he never rest in peace till that bastard comes back here and finishes One Bad Day

>THE VOID
You gape your maw wide open, Corrosion is the first to notice it as you stand in the field of the dead.

"Everyone, RUN BACK TO THE SHIP!" He yells as he runs in fear.

The spilled blood flows slowly at first. Hesitant. Afraid. They it flows, it churns and rushes in a deluge.

All of it converging into your maw. The corpses lay upon the ground, and then shift.

Then fly through the air.

Your jaws stretch, the bones crack and reform. The rush of flesh and bodies flood down into your form, yet no change is shown.

>THE VOID: Once per day you can manifest the endless hunger apparent, and pull all organic matter into your maw, upon contact it is consumed. Hunger can only increase to a maximum of 60 with this ability.

It's a bit sad that your highest viewed video from your eyebots was one neither of you featured in, but GODDAMN. NO ONE FUCKS WITH THE MERCHANTS!

>Back to Famine

You come to, the field desolate and empty. Squealer's rig has been righted and you can see it speeding back through the gate.

You hear the faint sound of a helicopter behind you, accompanied by the roar of several large vans.

The PRT are here.

Armsmaster rides up on a new, but slightly smaller bike, Battery and Assault jump from the back of one van, Velocity speeds through the grit of the Graveyard, and Dauntless hovers in the air. Miss Militia is nowhere to be seen.

Armsmaster steps forward, he is wrapped in a massive suit of armor, it adds almost a foot to his height.

"I made this to fight Lung, but I think it'll do the job against you."

"Do you want to go through this again Armsmaster?" You ask coyly.

I mean come on let's be real. All we did was kill nazi's that abuse the minority and anyone who's not white. If that's not the most American thing a person can do then I don't know what is. We did the world a favor.
Now don't get me started on you Protectors and PRT's assholes, living it up in your luxury homes, working in your state of the art modern facilities, sipping your two hundred dollar fancy Kopi luwak coffees as you complain about the lack of funding or how shitty the coffee is. I've an idea of what you're wanting to do to me, but what are you gonna do about the merchants? What, gonna send em all of to jail? "I underestimated you then, this time I have backup." The halberd wielding hero shouts defiantly.

"Dispatch, should we proceed? What do you mean no!? .... What is the Chief Director doing overseeing this operation?! ,,, Right away sir, returning to base." Armsmaster chitters away into his helmet.

You hear the faint sounds of the vans revving as they pull out of the empty killing field. Perhaps you can teach old dogs new tricks.

Alright that's a nice justification. Abaddon 100% father of the year. But when is he gonna realize Scion and Eden are fucking evil with their planet annihilating cycles, while his cycles are perfectly fine? When is Abaddon gonna RISE UP and Gold Morning the fuck out of him to help humanity? When Famine gets enough fatherly adoration points from him?

Say Meddles could you tell me if I'm somewhere ontarget or not with what the other cards Papaddon would have given us

>JUDGEMENT: A Trump power with similar function to the Fairy Queen's own. Forming "phantoms" out of our meals who've had shards to fight on our behalf

>WILL: Stranger power that infects people with a frenzied feeding state, eating anyone that they're able to catch

>THE UNDECIDED: Makes us look more like dad? No idea

>The undecided- when you enter frenzy, or once per day, every corpse you kill gets added to your mass, giving you 2 Vitality for corpse.

Upon your return to Freighter you find many Merchant's already deep in their cups. The tensions of the battle is being released by the numbness of the intoxication.

You snag a fifth and break the neck, and start guzzling. Heading to the Bridge, you find most of the higher ups all doing the same. Squealer is taking hits off a bong, and shots. Red had followed your frame of mind, while Steve is drinking from beer bottles.

"So... what now?" You ask to the silent room. Everyone looks up in awe.

"What now? What now! Famine, first thing first, I'm going to drown out all memories of the past few hours in a river of vodka, then come tomorrow we're gonna sweep up all the empty Empire territory." Red drunkenly slurs. Squealer lifts her dropping head.

"Yeah -hic- Skidmark basically dropped the phone when I told him. My only worry now is Lung, he'll want to take advantage of the vacuum too." Squealer hiccups in the middle of her speech. The room falls silent once again.

"This is really fucking depressing..." You state.

"We won, yeah, but we lost a lot of good people man. We gained more than we ever have, but they ain't ever coming back man." Red says, as he slouches. "Tonight we mourn, tomorrow we conquer. It's the best way to keep their memory."

You walk out of the little discourse on depression, and stand upon the bow of the ship. From here you can see all of the Graveyard laid out before you. What was once empty and desolate, in a matter of days, has become a bustling sub-community. A family without family, whose loyalty is to one another, and no one else.

Small tents, shacks, and the wreckage of ships nearby house members. Many are gathered around burning trash barrels in the January cold, speaking about lost friends and family. Tears flow freely and without judgement

For that's what family is.

You climb to the highest point, the ruined Archer's Bridge, where the Merchant's all began. Apparently a group of homeless that were gathered underneath the bridge for shelter grew tire of shitty deals from the Empire and E88, and in the cloak of night they set up an ambush to jack them.

How far have things come, back to where it all began.

Standing on the destroyed bridge, you see in the horizon something that first made your heart sink.

People in mob, approaching in a beeline to the freighter.

Then you take in their clothing, their haggard appearances, the way their shoulders sag with the struggles of many years.

Down below, you see the Merchants outside, turn startled. Then welcome the newcomers with open arms, many old friends among them apparently.

Come home, poor man.

We can start moving cargo containers and start clearing / cleaning / renovating then for modular living spaces. We could also beach some of the boats to potentially make as homes if you prop them up and add stairs?
Eh. At the least. If we gather more ships then we can get more crabbing and fishing done to feed some mouths ad d save some cash.

>Aggression (Explore the city, look for trouble, etc)

We need to take Empire territory before the ABB move in.
>>
>>3194769
Double checked the post. So it seems Squaler is High, Red is drunk and Steve is in his fifth- probably more bottle. That just leaves Us and Mush who might be sober enough.

>>3194790
You know what I had the same idea. Do you think we should attack midday, afternoon or evening? Me I think we should do the attack in the evening. First we'll build some homes / shelters, gather some troops, then lay siege (with like two of Steve's ghosts and Mush). That's about 3 actions. This time around I'm hoping the merchants we bring will serve a more utilitarian use instead of being combat units. Like the first time. We go in, intimidate or kill people into submission, then they come in to haul everything back.

What do you think?

I don't think we need to use an action to gather troops though I could always be wrong. So it would work out to this.

>Merchant Management (Train Merchants)
>Aggression (Take Empire territory)

I guess it comes down to either

>Merchant Management (Train Merchants)
>Aggression (Take Empire territory)
or
>Merchant Management (Train Merchants)
>Aggression (Take Empire territory)
>Merchant Management (Build housing with cargo containers and abandoned ships)
Personally I like the former. People want places to sleep in before it gets really cold since we're on the beach and it's January. Bums die from getting sick yo. We'll get the cover of night to attack if we chose to attack them last.
Then again, I suppose the sooner the E88's has been picked clean the better.

Cherish is the hardest for us to kill because we're exactly the kind of close-to-midrange Brute she can kill with despair or fear. You would have to be resistant to Master powers or a Vasil to take her on and hope to win, since she can sense emotions. In fact, I think she's the only member we have very little chance of beating; most of them die to our sheer strength and speed or to our tard-screech.

>>
>>3196386
Kill them all.
>>
>>3196386
A partnership sounds preferable since fighting the ABB is more trouble than it's worth.
>>
>>3196508
At least for not a temporary partnership might work for the short term until we get our bearings (training, shelter and food). After some more talking with the Boss and his second (Squealer), and if we really wanted too, we could probably beat the ABB's, what with all the gangs they forcefully assimilates and money they make from human trafficking. No doubt there's a lot of people who want them dead.

Now that I think about it, I'm not sure they have all that many allies. Sure they got a big gang, but only a handful of capes, so they would most likely accept a truce.
>>
>>3196376
>We could take Lung out even without bum rushing him. Our normal > his max.
Sorry, have you SEEN Lung's max? His claim to fame was driving Leviathan away from Kyushu after all the other capes there failed. We would be reduced to well-done deer meat if we went up against Lung's max. You don't take on Lung with brute force, period.

What? Lung at full power does not take damage from fucking bullets.
>>
>>3196935
He does. Numerically it's like one point of damage out of a thousand hp and he regens 50 a round, but it's not zero.
>>
>>3196966
Do you think HWM will want up to plan out this raid of ours against the remaining E88 resources, or will we just chose a few place and make some rolls?
Who want to hit up their strong hold and get their capes, or should we focus on resources and go for their Warehouses?
>>
>>3196980
I don't know what OP wants, but I'd rather hunt down the remaining capes.
>>
>>3196980
Resources to lure out the capes, and then we do something to attract the S9 and eat em
Wait, are we a villain or are we technically a Vigilante
>>
>>3196966
Read Worm, or at least look up Lung. Peak Lung wouldn't take damage from normal bullets.
>>3196992
We're a villain.
We're part of a gang.

yeah, birdcage would be the ultimate buffet for us, we need to kill the S9 and then a proper hero before we get sent there. After we eat everyone in there, we might be ready to participate in an endbringer attack

Anyone think that we're specifically designed to go after Leviathan with our "brothers" designed to go after the others

>>3197008
We wouldn't be effected by bullets, he turns into a dragon made of steel that's constantly regenerating

No thank you. Killing nazi's was a perfect excuse for murder, but to kill someone is a relatively decent person with a positive public image isn't gonna do us any favors.

Admittedly we're Robin Hood.
We're still officially a villain and should thus expect to be treated like a real one.

You get Red mostly sobered up with the idea that some of the Merchant's could be spending the night in the cold January air with the influx of members. Unsurprisingly, the general welfare of his fellow man in the gang is one of the things Red cares vehemently about.

"If one of us is suffering, we all suffer man. It kills the mood around the whole group. Life is hard enough without having your brothers freezing."

While the effort is commendable, the new housing in the neighboring freighter is not quite complete, seeing how Squealer needs to rig an engine to fit the power demands, space, and emissions for the ship. Most of the gang are used to far worse hardship than a cramped bed, so it passes without much complaint that the new members will merely be spending the night in the sleeping area with the old. At-least till tomorrow.

>Merchant Housing: Requires another action for completion, but will be completed upon action. There were a few fist fights, but you can't complain when free food is about.

Amazingly the new members take to training like fish to water, seemingly many were ex-military. When capes came to be, many of the vast armies of the world were subsequently downsized, extremely so.

When you have a man that can spit lighting and fly, a man with a gun has trouble comparing.

>Uninitiated/Mediocre Merchant's are all Skilled Merchants

When the night came to seize the now empty Empire territory, it was almost eerie how streets that were once full of roving teams of skinheads are now empty and peaceful. They're old customers are desperate for any scrap that floats their way, and the Merchant's are always happy to provide.

Anon, Lung's skin turns to bulletproof metal and he has a healing factor on par with Wolverine. If you shoot him before the metal fully grows (I. E. A surprise attack) it'll just grow back. If you shoot him after the metal grows, it'll just bounce off because he's bulletproof. I'm not saying this for you, I'm just saying it for the record

1) Going as tribal wendigo would be pretty cool

2) Don't think we do. Everything we eat gets voided/consumed and abbadad created us for eating capes to grow stronger until we can eat endbringers and fix the cycle, not to be able to procreate.

3) We don't need Lung to fight Leviathan, we need to EAT Lung, and a whole bunch of other capes, and not burn up points with screaming so we accumulate reclamation, and then get in the Birdcage and do the same thing, maybe use the void so we suck em all up, then we'll be stronger than Lung, then we can kill Leviathan, then we are even stronger, and can kill the other ones.

4) What if we ate Lung when we met him? What if Lung wants to fight us and is inviting us to fight?

Other anons have it right; feathers hanging off the horns, but maybe we could spice things up with a nice pair of shades? Dressing up means less intimidating, and empty eyesockets are pretty freaky.

But if Famine didn't look like my bloodthirsty boy Caim before Abbadon, I will feel endless disappointment.
>>
A better question is Why he would invite us? Would he try to intiminade US or does he want to fight
>>
>>3197466
>Plus one

So should we take Red or Steve? The former seems is a world man who knows his stuff, but the latter is a bro.

A bro with a large debt. A debt that might, beyond vials, be easily explained by a single debt to a Casino so large that he might trigger from it. A debt that he can now, with his specters and us at the table, be able to pull of the perfect heist with.

As much as I'm shooting shit, it'd be cool to have our own Casino Royale arc.
>>

I suspect he would want to recruit us.
>>
>>3197494
I think we shouldn't take am actual person in case we have to fight, because they could get burned by Lung or eaten accidentally by us. If we take anyone, we should hide Steve's ghosts in our shadow like we did when we faced Kaiser.

>>3197562
If he's got any brains, which he no doubt has in abundance, he'd at the least low key suggest joining the ABB, rather than flat out asking to ditch the Merchants. Though I could be wrong. With our reputation as a cape killer and slayer of almost two hundred *Gutz intensifies* people (capes included) and defeating a gang in a single day, he best hope to never bring up joining the ABB unless he wants to ruin his casino.

>>3197560
What if.....
..we bring 2 PEOPLE? Nah. That's practically begging for trouble. "Gang Politics" wise it might seem like we're confident enough to feel like we could walk over them?
I think we should bring Rick and Steve's ghost. Rick follows us along, and has a solid head on his shoulders. He could help us clear their buffet. Steve needs to stay because he one of the strongest, heck he could be the strongest cape of the Merchants, if only he tested his limit on how many ghosts he can spawn which I hope he doesn't have too do. The poor guy...
Put beyond that Steve's gambling prowess will be fun.

hmm, honestly I guess either Siberian or Bonesaw. On one hand we're a monserous fear inducing monster cannibal that can rip and tear with the best of them and make entire established groups shit their pants. on the other hand we're all about that family which would definitely resonate with Bonesaw, not to mention we'd probably come off looking like a teddy bear in her warped point of view. Honestly, yeah Bonesaw would definitely be the most likely.
>>
>>3197379
maybe not a giant monster wendigo. But a pure starved, full on beastial Wendigo Famine versus max Lung in the middle of the city sound like an insane fight. Just thinking about fear screams and dragon breath being shot off back and forth as Feral Famine is ripping right through rapidly healing metal skin while Lung tries to stomp us to death sounds insane as fuck. The thing is though Lung is actually pretty civil as far as merciless crime lords can be. He's always been pretty content with being left alone and uncontested in his territory. Of course he'll snatch up the nearby Empire territory that just opened up but honestly he'd be really easy to form a mutual agreement with. Truth is the end of Empire has got to be the best thing to happen to this city if only because both the Merchant and ABB leadership are content enough with what they have that we could likely form a pretty stable truce, which would make the city a lot more peaceful. I mean, they're still gangs and ABB in particular gets into some pretty dark shit but compared to before? it would be like night and day, and the locals will take whatever peace they can get.

(Gonna say that the rest of the day was spent on finishing the housing, and upgrading boats. This is the end of day 5, the emissary from Lung arrived this afternoon)

You lay your antlered head down upon the your comfy nest of blankets. It does not take long for you to fall away into blackness. Normally you do not dream, you merely just recall your day with startling accuracy, but you fell a great yank. This will be one of those special times.

[FOREIGN FREQUENCY DETECTED]

You float in space, the lights of far away stars blink and shine through the void. You feel a pressure, the feeling as if your bones make crack, and your blood freezing as a presence far greater than yourself lays its eyes upon you.

"Ḡ͖͙͇̠̯̪̤̙͈͌̊̒́̄̉̕͜͝͞R̨̢͕͉̥͗̓̎̉͟͝͡Ė̷̟̭͕̦̦̹̖̙̐̀̽̃̔͌̃̚͜͡Ȩ̧̭̖̞̱̫̯̀̒̀̑̃̈́̊͗Ţ̛̤̱͉͆͛̃͐̂̍͑̃̃͜I̡͕̤͉̖͙̿̿̏̀̇̄͋̕͜͝N̡͍͍̝͕̐̈́̐͋͠G̸̻͖̪̝͎̾͐̇̉͑̀̚Ś̶̫̰̭̳͈̟͈̖̖͗͛͑͛̊́̕ C̸̨̤͙̗͉̻̯͕͐́́̇̑H̡̫̻̝̪̍̌̏̚͞͞I̶̢͔̰͖͖͙̓͌̓̀̈́͘͘͞͞L̴̢͖̼̺͙͍͔͔̿̓͌̀̓̑͡͝͠Ḑ̧̞̱̠̹̥̭̿̈́́͊͘͢" It speaks, not through the emptiness of space, but rather into your mind. The jarring sense of a sound you can not hear, but think causes your mind to throb in the foreignness of it.

The massive worm, with small blind eyes looks upon you. It's flesh continuously rots and regrows. The mandibles upon it's maw twitch and clean the large teeth. It flickers in places further down it's form, appearing in one place, and then jolting to another. Small creatures crawl around it, parasites, cleaners, prey. One beetle-like being with far too many legs wanders too close to the maw, and a mandible flies around. The bones in the appendage snap and crack as it impales the small beast and flings it down the endless maw.

You realize you are only as big as one of it's fangs as it approaches.

You think your eyes are bleeding.

"YOUR PROGRESS IS COMMENDABLE, AND I AM PLEASED. I HAD FEARED THAT YOUR REACTION TO A BROTHER SHARD WOULD HAVE BEEN I̧̪͇̫̰̻̼͈̺͋͗͂̏̿̐̉͘R̴̢̘͕̳̦̪̻̰̽͊̉͂̈̚͜K̸̢̺͖͇͍̪͈̤͐͆͐̔̀̈͋̔̚͜Ş̵̡̣̻̥̻̠̎̈͗̾̓͢͞͡ͅƠ̶̱̹̟͔̯̠͌̓̒̽̑͢ͅM̢̛̛͔̟̥̥͓̺̰͂̄̃̕͟Ě̶̮̹̬̘̳̆̆̈̌̐̉̑͘͟͠ I'VE CALLED YOU TO OFFER ANOTHER TRADE, AND A FREE BOON TO BE OFFERED IN THE FORM OF KNOWLEDGE."
