Unlucky Servant Quest #2 >>3139520

Your master, Vivi D'Roix, had just completed her second day at the academy, starting the first day of education off in a less than messy note. Through such, she managed to net herself a few acquaintances: the baronetess Caren Seneiybra, the Marquess - and by extension, the Prime Minister's son - Charles Lorensol, and the unlikely magician Mercedes. The last of the aforementioned personages agreed to teach you and your master a bit of her unique magic, things driving itself into an interesting turn from where we left off.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"You really do resemble your mother too much. Personality and all," the words drifting out of your mouth. Hastily, you follow it up with your consciousness firm, "...Though, you already looked beautiful even without the spell. Don't try to be something that you are not and let things happen the way they're meant to be."
Vivi predicted something else in mind for you to say, although, flattered in a womanly fashion that's rare to her. "O-Oh-- Well, it's only temporary, Saul; I just wanted to see if my little suggestion would work, not to actually change myself. Mercedes did say that I can come anytime to retain this figure nevertheless. Four baths, right?" asking the fellow girl behind her.
Mercedes nods, "Mhmm, that's right. But you can scrub the ink off in only one if Saul brushes the mark thoroughly enough. I don't mind if you visit no matter how many times, as I find your company enjoyable, Darling. And I'll be honest, most of the nobles here don't 'click' with me, be it either their pride, ignorance, or a mix of the two. You, however, are more genuine in terms of personality; silly and cute to a T~"
Vivi swallows her throat, "Not a lot of people has said that to me in that way, nonetheless, I thank you for the compliment. I hadn't have this much fun since I left my manor's dungeon!"
"Dungeon?"
You make up a quick excuse, "My mistress refurbished an unused basement of her mansion. It's a playroom of sorts, full of toys and other forms of entertainment."
Vivi gives you a puzzled look before she catches the idea, doing nothing to add to it with but a closed lip. Mercedes passes it off as nothing, giving out another laugh-- equally as evil in its tone as the previous one, "I can see Miss D'Roix naming a place like that, it's a playfulness that can be found in a imaginative child. Perfect for magic and the like for further benefit."
Shifting over to a dresser, she then hands you a bra that greatly overlaps your hands. "Take this."
"What for?" you say, hiding your discomfort.
"For the new D'Roix here, Sweetie. Do you not find this satisfactory?"
> "No, it's fine. It's that my mistress never really needed one before. It's just...shocking."
> "If it isn't too much, could we borrow a pair of other complimentary garments as well? It'll probably take more than the night for me to adjust a dress or two for my mistress."
>>
Here's the corrected choices.
> "No, it's fine. It's that my mistress never really needed one before. It's just...shocking."
> "If it isn't too much, could we borrow a pair of other complimentary garments as well? It'll probably take more than the night for me to adjust a dress or two for my mistress."
The most practical option right now.
And if Vivi DOES want this form long term, Saul can use the measurements of the dresses Mercedes provides to get some clothes specially comissioned.
"If it isn't too much, could we borrow a pair of other complimentary garments as well? It'll probably take more than the night for me to adjust a dress or two for my mistress," folding the bra into an easier shape to hold. "I could also make use of their measurements if my master does decide to lengthen this form of hers."
"Gladly~" Returning to the dresser and stopping by her closet, Mercedes supplies you with three days worth of clothes. You give your upmost thanks to her once more, telling her that the night has to be closed for your mistress soon. It's well beyond Vivi's appointed bedtime, a remedy for a lethargic master in the morning. With that stated, Mercedes doesn't delay your leave, "Goodnight, Miss D'Roix. I hope things are sorted out tomorrow."
"You as well, Miss Mercedes," Vivi returned, ushering out something meek thereafter, "...I-I will be expecting you!"
Back at your usual quarters, your master automatically readies herself for bed, undergoing the same routine that you care after for. She has done this to a countless degree that her actions become but a blur in your vision, only realizing it after or mid-way through the happening. By then, Vivi's all snuggled under the blanket, but not yet allured by sleep.
You ready one of Mercedes' dresses on top of a dresser, your master's own smaller than your (now) previous hostess. You're good for the next three days, planning out an adjustment for two of Vivi's dresses. This opportunity calls forth an effort that must be present in the future, and you'll no doubt reciprocate the alterations with a greater regality to fit your master's standing in her new body.
You take out the club registry paper when reaching into your room, thankful that the receptionist only needed the lower half. The upper side contained everything that is necessary to know about each club: what it does, lesser-known activities, and most importantly, schedules. It is in the interest of Vivi that you look into the gardening section of the paper, finding out the precise times where Charles is to show. If done right, you can lead your master into his path 'coincidentally', the idea excluding her murderous intent of course.
Everyday, the gardening club formally meets between seven-thirty or eight o'clock, taking care of the plants within the academy's garden. Every student is allowed access to it obviously, but it's the club's responsibility to look after it. Members are also free to gather after school; affiliated students are able stay there for up to an hour, the club ending for the rest of the day. You mark the specified times on the paper just in case, finishing up the task as you line out possible routes to encounter Charles.
With that out of the way, you direct your attention to one of Mercedes' dresses, recording its shapes and dimensions so they can be put to Vivi's use. A list is soon compiled, consisting of all the necessary widths and lengths-- two of the sizes being bigger than the rest. A tired sigh signals you to cease with your operation upon noticing, putting away the dresses for the future.
Going to sleep, you lay still on your bed with a mindless gaze, the ceiling obstructing your view. A simple turn of the head lets the twinkling stars enter your sight, proving themselves as a soothing image for a man's rest. True is that thought, the constellations lulling you to sleep; the boat drifting away from its dock till it sails too far, darkness overshadowing it in a flash.
The tweeting of the birds is what you hear for you to wake, lifting up your body in a heated rush of blood as the heart pumps life back into you. Dawn is just beginning, tracking the clock at 6:03, giving more of a reason to take the reigns of time.
After getting Vivi up from bed, you assist your master in her morning chores. This eventually led to dressing her, Vivi experiencing the difference in her borrowed clothes. She loved it to recount it simply, delegating herself as mature despite how she acts in reality. Playing pretend is not bad however, and it's good to see her happy.
"HmHmm~ Let's see what today has in store, Saul~!" Vivi said, departing from her prized collection.
"I see that you're in high spirits, that's good," following her from behind.
Opening the front door for her, you advise Vivi on the way out.
Vivi halts the skip in her step, and does what you had directed. It took a moment for her to understand the change in balance, but once she got it down, her exhilaration resumes. "What time is it, Saul? I want to know if we can catch breakfast after taking longer than usual to get ready.."
"It's seven forty-three, My Mistress. We have a lot of time before school starts at eight thirty," you answer, continuing to escort her out of the dormitory.
You determine that it's best for Vivi to take her breakfast outside, as her place in the dining hall's corners will inevitably produce an amount of complications. The choice proves helpful upon acting on it, protecting your master from wandering gazes and to wake any lingering tiredness. It'll also increase the probability of Charles coming along, as his gathering will end soon; Rena's appearance will be left to question sadly. You don't have a good enough grasp of her habits other than her initial display.
The estimated time for Charles' arrival makes the scene - and without a lack of foresight - the little marquess if found up ahead, strolling down a white path. Beside him is his maid, her eyes as keen as the last time you met her. Charles soon spots you and your master, scurrying along to make his way to your location in bated breath.
"Good morning, Mister Saul and Madame D'Roix. I wasn't expecting to see you on my way to breakfast," Charles greets upon reaching the marble table.
You walk a few paces forward to exchange his words, "Good morning to you too as well, Marquess. Yes, I agree that it is quite the coincidence today, however, let this be a fortunate one. Where were you coming from anyway?"
"I had just returned from Archenwald's garden, Mister Saul. The path I was taking is the shortest to the dining hall."
Rena follows after Charles in haste, "You shouldn't go off like that, Master Charles. You might trip over yourself. Who were you talki--" She understood who her master was speaking with right away, her eyes expressing a clear confusion towards Vivi, scanning her up and down in a frequent rhythm.
"Would you like to eat with us, Master Charles?" proposing under Rena's silence, "We would be thankful for the company."
"Happily!" he replied, taking a seat next to Vivi, whom, is struggling to control her emotions. "Hmm? Miss D'Roix, you look... different," he says, copying the same analyzing motions of his maid.
"Yeah," interjected Rena, finally collecting herself. "Is it just me, or did Madame D'Roix change?-- Scratch that, she's absolutely different than last afternoon. A little too grown, don't you think?"
Vivi lets out an nervous chuckle in response to the maid's suspicion, not knowing how to go about it.
> "I think you are mistaken. She may look different because of the change in her attire, all of those ruffles previously obscuring her natural shape."
> "I believe that it's because we only met two times yesterday, Master Charles, and only once for you, Rena. Are you sure that it isn't a lapse in your memory?"
"Young women grow awfully fast in recent times, it really is surprising. Perhaps this is what those purple prose writers mean when they refer to the 'bloom' of youth? Though, I certainly didn't expect my mistress to bloom so soon, so much, I must say."
Charles is instantly fooled, gullible to what had transpired. "That is amazing, to think that a girl can change so fast. She's even taller than Rena too and more...Womanly? Is that the right word?"
"Sure, right, it is," Rena said apathetically, one who isn't as easy as her master. She plays along otherwise. "Goddammit. How idiotic can magic be?..." she muttered.
Veering the conversation into a favorable direction, you continue this convenient atmosphere that was brought to you. "How did you find the gardens, Master Charles? Me and my Mistress didn't have the chance to have a detailed look at them yesterday, but I've heard that they're stunning. Perhaps we might explore them when classes finish for the day, what do you say to that, My Mistress?"
"I find nothing wrong with that. Playing along with Charles is indeed a joy, so if he can tour us around the garden then that's even better," Vivi, setting the boy in question on her lap. Again, she smothers him, but with more than her hands.
"Sure, I can show you there. It's a nice place to walk through after the Sun passes its zenith," the marquess affirms when Vivi's grip lightens on him, not upset throughout the constant cuddling. He comments on how its like a giant pillow.
"I don't think that's safe with those funbags of yours, Madame D'Roix. Master Charles could, you know, suffocate!" Rena implores, reflexively holding out a hand delicately to him.
> "Ease yourself, Miss Rena. My mistress will be careful with how she handles him. Hopefully. At least she's channeling her energy into something less gruesome."
"As you are the only candidate for the most experience concerning bosom related fatalities in this group, I shall have to defer to your wisdom. My Mistress, please ensure that he is capable of breathing at all times."
Vivi listens, her hold becoming slack to relieve Charles from her air-captivating chest. "Are you alright, Charles? Please forgive how my mood blinds me."
"No, no, you're not to blame. If only I can endure your friendliness in a more mature body," he said to ease your master, remaining upon her lap whose movements are now calmer to an extent.
Rena's shoulders loosens now that her worry is lifted. "Guess I should get you your breakfast, Master Charles. Will you permit me to do so?"
"Nnn~ Take your time, Rena. Don't rush yourself now that I have Madame D'Roix and her butler to see to me."
"Will try, but I doubt that my fears will be delayed with that very fact. Saul, right? Please watch over him. I should let you know that I'm good in dishing out a physical beating."
"As you instruct, Miss," holding up your hands in compliance.
Hearing that you'll monitor Charles in her stead, she leaves the lunch table to obtain and deliver her master's food. But not long after her leave do you spot a sketchy disposition from your mistress-- a small knife she was showing; it was attached to a strap around her leg, hidden under her skirt. Since when did she sneak that past you?
She is telling Charles how to correctly cut a being - much to his size - her motherly eyes reshaped by her deeply rooted instinct. The young man is attentive, laid back against her as the blade's dull side tickles his arms.
"I suggest that you show Master Charles something else, My Mistress. He could get hurt if your hands slips or worse."
"C'mon, Sa~ul, it's perfectly safe in my possession. I wouldn't harm this little doll yet~!"
"Heed to my judgement, it's for your sake and discpline. I may have to revoke your weapon priviledges if you continue to misuse your blades-- furthermore, if you hide them away from me. You've been doing well so far, not exacting upon Sally who healthily hangs on her swing. Don't break this streak. For the time being, Master Charles could introduce you to a subject of his own."
Reluctantly, Vivi secures the knife back into the strap, pulling down the side of her skirt thereafter. The predatory eyes retire to transform themselves back to its maternal appearance, your mistress asking the marquess gently, "Is there anything you would like to show me? It's your turn~"
"Wait a moment," said Charles, going off of her lap to pick at some flowers and bushes. He comes back, replacing himself, ordering the flora on the table; Vivi easily looks over his shoulders for a better look, enveloping him in her arms. "Let us start with this one," showing her the type of flower that he's pointing to, stating its species, where it grows, and other factual information. Once done with the arrangement, he tucks one of them into Vivi's hair, "Yup! Camomile fits you best!"
Vivi quivered in delight, picking at the flower before leaving it alone in her hair. "D-Do you agree with him, Saul?"
Cute!
Also I just realised that if we successfully introduce Caren and Mercedes to Charles (I think Mercedes will take to him even though he's a noble, considering his personality is actually pretty similar to Vivi's regular one, minus the bloodlust) rumors are gonna spread like wildfire that the Lorensol heir is building himself a harem.
...Maybe we can get them to come along on the garden tour?
Anyway
Beautiful AND deadly.
"As obvious as it is, I think a rose would look good on you as well. Both black and red," you compliment. "Does the academy's gardens possess any of those varieties, Master Charles?"
"Yes, I'm sure that they do, even coming in more colors than just red and black," Charles responds. "All more of a reason to show you after school, Madame D'Roix!"
Rena comes back, serving her master in the same manner that you would do yourself. She double-checks Charles for any sort of cut or peculiarity, finding him in good condition to which her looming threat disappears as if she never made it at all.
Breakfast was pleasant, the two nobles talking of things that are a common topic of their prestige-- though, Charles was the more notable one in the interaction, Vivi bearing no knowledge of the world that doesn't stem from her estate. In the end, it was a soft lecture to her about Francheur's state as a kingdom. The relationship between it and Germaigne has became rather shaky recently, news to your mistress than to you who has some understanding of the country's airs.
The start of classes only disheartens Vivi, making it hard to separate her from the boy. Eventually, she lets up, pouting all the way to and through the first sessions' hours. Just as always, it subsides as the morning progressed.
Vivi's complaints on how boring classes are lightens, the second day allowing for a proper lesson to occur-- not that is makes a difference in her attitude. But what made it memorable are the eyes that draw to her, exactly as you predicted. No one outright came to speak with her, they more or less took in the view, trying to figure out in their minds if the creepy girl from yesterday...Changed. Luckily, Vivi didn't make much of a name for herself to be widely known.
The one who was shocked the most was the unassuming Caren, meeting Vivi in a empty hall on their way to their next room. Her actions were more exaggerated however, inspecting your mistress very, very closely. "Saul, does Madame D'Roix have a sister by any chance?" she concludes, misunderstanding your mistress' circumstances.
We got Mercedes intrigued about Caren through mentioning Caren's alchemy, might as well get Caren interested in Mercedes by hinting at what Mercedes can go.
Also:
>Hint to Vivi that maybe it would be nice if she invited Caren to join Charles's garden tour
We need all of Vivi's group to be introduced to each other eventually. Saul outright inviting Caren along would be presumptuous, but I'm sure Charles wouldn't mind if Vivi herself brought another aquaintence to join them. If Caren agrees here it'll be easier to convince Mercedes to also join the tour later.
>>
>>3155830
The sister story is something to feed to any rando who want's the know the pretty, busty girl's identity.
Mercedes ability still isn't that known around school yet, and I think she'll appreciate it if Saul doesn't spread it around TOO much. Caren and Charles (+Rena) get taken into the fold because we want them to be friends with Vivi, and lying to their faces isn't a solid foundation to start a friendship on.
Yeah, we're not gonna outright tell the whole school that Mercedes has boob magic.
But like >>3155843 mentions the whole reason we managed to convince Mercedes to meet Caren in the first place was by baiting her with the prospect of talking to Caren about her alchemy. If Caren and Mercedes are gonna be talking magical shop when they meet the truth will quickly come out. And Rena has already figured out the transformation was due to magic, if Mercedes and Charles start hanging out with Vivi she's gonna put two and two together pretty fast.
"Doremy? My own sister?...That doesn't sound too bad. It'll certainly make for a better explanation if I pretend accordingly."
"Wait, s-slow down," Caren pleaded. "This is hard to sort through! You're telling me that this is Madame D'Roix?"
"The one and only," you confirmed.
"But... Huh?!" the baronetess uttered.
As Caren tries to recompose herself, you bring up the thought of inviting her along. "Miss Caren could come along to the garden, My Mistress. Her interest in alchemy my fascinate the curious marquess, let alone her character and charm."
"They do look like they could get along. But taking her would be unexpected for Charles, wouldn't it?"
"To meet? Who?" restoring some amount of clarity.
"Uh, that's a secret. Surprises are more fun for both parties~"
"...I'm fine with going along with you. However, I still need some kind of explanation. Just yesterday were you about as lacking as I am."
Vivi gestures, "Well, the growth of a young adult can be unpredictable, the mysteries surrounding that fact seeming to have caught up to me now. Like...Like how a flower blooms at night~!"
"Don't rack your brain too hard. On another note, have you joined anything since? You said that you were interested in alchemy."
"As a matter of fact, yes, I did join them. My father was an avid man of the art, mainly with steel and iron because my family held some business in the industry despite our size. He taught me some stuff of his own so joining the club that busies itself with such practices allows me to put it to use. Of course, I'm new there, but the members are friendly enough."
"I have also registered to be in one as well," Vivi spoke, "I am to officially join sometime today; it's the blacksmithing club that is located behind the south part of the wall."
"That's mighty interesting. Could you tell me what it was like there?" the two noble girls conversing about their activities.
Interrupting the two young ladies, you remind them that they have yet to be released from their education for the moment, the two of them saying their farewells to each other to catch their destination. Caren walks pass Vivi in a rush, entering the junction behind her and into the corridor to the right. Vivi herself, along with you who's guiding her, travels ahead, reaching her classroom that wasn't too far off from where you were at. Thankfully, the countess and baronetess arrived on time, avoiding the consequences.
The present class is biology and, surprisngly, Vivi is quite good at the subject when it starts to roll. Granted, she doesn't hold herself as an example student during class, but she maintains an impressive intellect that pertains to the studies. If only she can have that same fortune and knowledge directed to math or history, however, one can't be perfect in such a world. Her aptness may drive her into something useful in the future-- a physician by any chance?
"It looks like the years of animal experimentation is showing off. You could be a good physician if you decide to be one-- a surgeon or mortician maybe?" you said, keeping your voice at a low level.
Vivi's pride elates, "I've explored many bodies to know these things well, as I can recall my past experiences in this class. The profession you speak of is worth looking into, although, maybe as a side job. Either way, it's expected of a smart, beautiful woman such as I~"
"Then are you confident in your mathematics? Language arts? Your previous memories of education doesn't match up with your words. Except, if you're willing to direct your focus to them from now on."
"Hahaha, what do you mean?" her guiltiness immediately showing. "Why, I've never had a problem with one or the other."
You grin, "Sure, you never did, but in actuality you were quite slacking during your private teachings. I'm just happy that you're picking up on something useful. Now pay me no mind, focus on the lecture," you instruct.
The monotony is soon broken by the ringing off brass bells, indicating the start of midday's break. As always, your mistress is takes the opportunity to leave right away, dragging you alongside her to race the crowd.
As it was agreed upon, Vivi goes about the facilities to pick up Caren, searching around the foremost area as she couldn't be too far. They do see each other after a minute or two, finally sharing the same passageway towards their location.
You, Vivi, and Caren take a detour around the campus, visiting the sights that you came across and introducing them to the baronetess. Caren herself is able to appreciate the art and masonry, recognizing the type of styles and coordination that neither you or your mistress could ever notice to. Sure, on their own, each commissioned statue or fountain is a image to behold, but when in the scope of Caren, she's able to see a lot more than just a fine formation of stones or architecture. Even the sculptures of the saints at Arcehwald's church are discerned by the humble girl's eye, making her out as more than just a low ranking noble.
The whimsical mood is disrupted not long after, trouble coming your way when passing the cycling path that you are on. From out of nowhere, a familiar face shows himself-- the younger prince whose identity is as clear as day.
"Greetings, Mademoiselles, the Sun shines brilliantly at this hour, doesn't it?" he says, approaching your company to which you step aside due to a subservient reaction. The atmosphere calls for a more...Formal way to go about things.
Instantly, Vivi goes quiet, not out of shyness but out of realizing the predicament that she has ran into. Caren, however, is more used to this situation; though, that's not saying a lot.
"Uh, er, w-who would you might be? I... I don't believe that we met," your mistress replies, stuttering as she degrades into her old self.
"My apologies, do excuse my rude manners. I'm Henrison Cheruex, Francheur's younger prince," correctly proceeding through common pleasantries. "May I know your names? This young man of the same age too," hinting at your person.
Orderly does Caren and Vivi introduce themselves as well, yourself following last. "What bring you here anyways, Your Majesty?" Caren asked after the courtesies.
"My brother has gone off somewhere else to take care of some things. He's quite the hard worker, even at school, so I'm just wandering around the academy till he comes back to fetch me. Does that answer your question, Mlle Seneiybra?"
"Indeed..." not knowing what to say next and quickly hopping on the same boat as Vivi.
Henrison's eyes then rotate to your mistress, furrowing a single brow as he contemplates something in his head. "Mlle D'Roix, yes? Have we seen each other before? Your figure is so remarkable that I find it recalling last night's memories. What do you think, Mister Solomon? I presume that you've been with her. Do correct me if I'm wrong nevertheless."
"What you say does ring a bell, however, I can't pin it down. If your words are correct, then I beg for Mlle D'Roix's pardon for mistaking her for this other person."
"I-It's alright, Your Majesty. Mistakes are common for anybody," Vivi said instantaneously.
"That's great, thank you. Now that this misconception is put away, may I know why you two ladies are taking a stroll? I presume that you're here to observe the works within this well-regarded institution."
"That's just that," Caren spoke, "We just wanted to appreciate the view since we're taking the longer route to the dining hall. Nothing more."
"I see; it's excellent to hear that there's nothing wrong. The headmaster puts a lot of effort to make this place enjoyable for the next generation, he will no doubt be happy to hear that."
"Ah! There you are! I thought that searching for you will take almost half of our break."
In comes another person, a girl sharing the same rich aura with the prince in front of you, furthermore having a golden hue that's equal to him. Her locks are fashioned into curls, just like your mistress, thickly done and seemingly silky. In fact, this girls draws many similarities to the original appearance of Vivi, not including a few key differences that are as important to note: ripely toned skin rather than a pale shade and eyes that are of a sapphire sky.
Upon reaching your point, she stops to look at your mistress, holding the same eye that Henrison just had. "...Oh, we meet again."
"Wha? I-I don't think we know each other," Vivi reflexively said.
"Isn't your name Matilda or whatever?"
Henrison explains. Somewhat. "Mlle Czesara, this is Doremy D'Roix. You are mistaken for this Matilda you mentioned."
The girl swiftly changes face, "Oh-- then don't mind my question. I'm awfully ditzy~"
You suggest that Vivi and Caren should get going, as things are looking to become messier the longer you stay. Acting upon your warning, they excuse themselves from the prince's presence, passing along as he and the girl absorb all of their attention into their own talk. But throughout the way - all until the sight of the Czesara girl is long lost - her focus partially remained on Vivi. Your mistress also noticed the overwhelming, yet subtle, stare, shivering in relief the moment your group turns around the corner.
The rest of the path was undisturbed, finding Charles at the same place from this morning-- the ladies' lunches held in your hands. Rena's tongue was quick to question the additional personage that came along, at rest once you persuaded her that Caren's a trusted acquaintance.
"Is this the person you hinted at?" Caren inquired to your mistress. "He's quite the child."
"This is Charles Lorensol. Despite his appearance, he's actually older than you think."
"So the complete opposite of how you are?..." It then hits her, "You mean the Minister's son?!"
"Tehaha, why yes," answered Charles. "Come sit down, it isn't good to always stand up, Madame Seneiybra."
"I never thought that common sense will be thrown out of the window so soon here," Caren then mumbled, taking a seat next to Vivi.
"Likewise, Miss Caren, but you'll have to get used to it as I have."
"How you're saying that isn't very encouraging, Saul."
Charles goes on to familiarize himself with Caren, questioning her on the same things that your mistress had already went through. He soon grows a liking to her as Caren's knowledge about alchemy efforts him to concentrate on her words, the young girl performing the art for all of you to see. She just needed a few moderately sized rocks on the table.
"Look closely, how you cast the spell needs to be very precise in what you want. Since this is just an example, I'll go with something easy, "a faint light hovering over the three stones.
Charles leans over for a better look, "What are you trying to do? I don't see any reason to use them, Madame Seneiybra."
"You'll see." The stones start to mesh together, disfiguring themselves as they reform their body like clay. The mass then divides into two small pillars, Caren picking up the lesser size of the pair, "Although this isn't much of a change, I separated a small part of the rocks' composition into another piece of gravel."
Vivi takes the other cylinder in her hands, easily wrapping around it with her fingers, "From the process, is looks like you can reshape the form as well."
"You're right, I can do that. Making things is a different story though."
....Also i've never heard of a philosophers stone where A) high school students have the recipie to make it and B) doesn't require the sacrifice of many humans lives to make.
I'm assuming it just transmutes stuff instead of bestowing immortality
maybe its both. I mean, they have the capacity to make someone ageless and that can be considered being immortal since you can't die of old age. Maybe they want to create a stone that makes someone ageless and changes their body to a desired state.
>>
>>3159381
>make someone ageless
If the stone essentially provided immortality on tap, I'd assume any exisiting ones would be kept under lock and key, and also how to make it would be a closely guarded secret.
...unless the recipe IS a closely guarded secret, and the club is trying to reverse engineer the stone? That would be a worthy year project.
"Yes, we are trying to make one for a fun project of ours. It's a magic tool to make transmutations more efficient from 1:1 to 2:1, if you know how alchemical ratios work."
"Isn't a philosopher's stone much more powerful than that?" Charles said, Vivi giving him the pillar next.
"The one that you probably know about only exist in stories, Master Charles. It's just a rare magic tool that can make your rituals smoother and, more importantly, cheaper. There are a few records of alchemist using the tool to alter bodies, albeit in small effects like a stronger immune system or three centimeters taller. The stone breaks as a cost however."
well, remember the maid that is 22 but looks 14 since god knows how long?
if i get this right, in order to get a true philosopher's stone you'd have to replicate the failed potion and control its effects so it doesn't make you a teenager and that's it.
>"Then what if you gathered a huge amount of those stones?"
>>
>"Then what if you gathered a huge amount of those stones?"
>>
The maid is ageless because very experimental magic misfired and hit her by accident, a series of events which I doubt can be replicated again successfully. I think the original purpose of the magic was to accelerate crop growth or something? So its not like not aging was the purpose of the spell in the first place.
I really don't think this verse has the ability to mass produce eternal youth.
>>
>>3159449
>"Then what if you gathered a huge amount of those stones?"
Also the alchemy club CLEARLY isn't trying all that hard. All it takes to make the real deal is to create an alchemty circle that spans the entire city. ezpz
>>
>>3159449
>Then what if you gathered a huge amount of those stones?"
>>
>>3159449
Is your research related to that maid I met the other day with seemingly eternal youth after some students had a lab accident? I believe the initial experiment was on crop acceleration?
>>3159481
The fact that she hasn't been dissected for it despite being a commoner either means the school (or some other patron) is protecting her or that sort of accident isn't unusual enough. There could always be some sort of unknown drawback and if they did accidentally give her true eternal youth they might not realize it for many years.
>>
>>3159481
are you sure? because the maid looks young and healthy and the only reason that vivi will return to her normal self is because she has to take a bath. I think that they just haven't looked hard enough or they simply don't care for whatever reason.
>>
>>3159498
The school could also be covering it up because it'll look super bad for them it word got out that some noble kids messing about with magic accidentally screwed up some commoner's life with their mistake.
>>3159499
The maid incident is proably a like 1/10000 chance event. Not something that might be feasibly replicated.
Mercedes's Keys is probably an old type of magic which was previous lost to the annals of time or straight up not common knowledge, considering she learnt it from an abandoned book she came across in the middle of no where. That the headmaster himself has an interest in her Key's, and her use of the magic is most likely what gained her access to the academy in the first place, hints that this type of magic is not common at all.
>>
First post showed no real problem with Vivi outright kidnapping us instead of grabbing a slave if she had been caught. The only scandal would be that a commoner lucked out instead of some nearby noble.
"Must be expensive to make telling from how you explained it," Vivi said, Caren's jab flying across her head. "Will you really be able to do it?"
"With how things are right now, my club might as well could. I've heard that all the clubs here were granted a huge sum to their budgets."
"It happened when the princes came, a sort of present from their father," Charles informed. "Funnily enough, they couldn't handle all the money."
Leaving the three nobles to their own enjoyment, you join Rena who stands a ways far by the table. Her face was showing no kind of emotion till now, turning back to the expression that you now find usual after all this time.
"How long have you been Master Charles' attendant, Miss Rena? And how are you finding the academy so far?" you said, stopping your approach.
"Everything has been alright, nothing terrible but nothing extraordinary, at least from what I see it." Rena sighs heavily, "I've been taking care of Master Charles ever since my father started taking me along, another servant for the Lorensol manor. One thing led to another when I met him and here I am now. Are you the same?"
"I can see that, as her character is particularly different than other sheltered daughters. But there's something off, the way that she eyes my master. I know you already explained it to me, it's just the feeling in my gut telling that there's more to her."
You take a look at Vivi, wholly within her conversation without sensing your gaze, addressing Rena thereafter. "It's how my mistress is, unique to the environment around her. I assure that she means no type of danger to Master Charles, the effects of her aforementioned lifestyle molding her this way."
Although you plan far ahead for your master, or look to be the person to do so, you have no plan for what's to come-- not that I have an idea myself. I just hate that type of guy because I'm also like that, nonetheless, you're alright in my book. Kinda-- so don't ruin it."
"I'm happy to hear that you find me acceptable, Miss Rena. However, your bluntness does make a dent in my heart," you joked, continuing to interact with the young maid until further influences make their mark.
The brass bells revive under the manipulation of their ropes, ringing upon the highest point of the academy's bell tower. Everyone in your party begins to depart for the time being, reminding themselves of where to go after school ends for the day. Noon slowly turns away at the command of the Sun, the temperature dropping to a warm heat throughout the grounds as light maintains its bright strength.
Vivi was in a good mood, even during her classes. It piqued your curiosity enough for you to ask, "You seem to be happy, My Mistress. Did something happen during your conversation earlier to elate you this way?"
Vivi giggles, her lips kept together in a grin. "Mhmm~! Charles called me his elder sister when I was playing around with him-- well, accidentally. It still gets me excited nevertheless. Soon, her face melts again in bliss at the thought of taking the young man for herself. "That's not a bad idea~ If I succeed in binding him under a holy vow then I could play with Charles all I want~! Wait-- but m-marriage will hinder what I have in plan! Marriage has the benefits of being 1) legal and 2) super cute.
"Well, a marriage doesn't work without love and you surely have that feeling, albeit in a pretty abstract way. You'll both be sweet no less; think of it, My Mistress. By marrying Charles you could enjoy him for the rest of your life instead of one fleeting moment in time. You would please your parents greatly in the process as well and I will work to ensure that you both will find bliss."
"L-Love?" Vivi muttered, swallowing her throat at the fantasy. "For the rest of my life, me and him?"
What you're doing right now is a mystery to yourself, stuck between the of 'if.' What if you're needlessly putting things in your mistress' head? What if you're doing the right decision to do so? It all comes down to that phrase. But what makes it promising is the development of Vivi, your master-- to crudely say, your owner. You're here to help her best interests and that reasoning is what drives you. You're confident, wholly in heart. However, there's always the other question: are you?
Enticing Vivi concluded as an unfinished exchange of thoughts and ways to capture Charles - the idea of marrying Charles sticking to her with a lost, enamored expression - school moving along with the two of you in tow. Eventually, it was time for the last class of the day, P.E. Vivi giving you her strapped knife before entering the women's locker room with another maid. You kept a lookout for someone else though, Mercedes who may or may not be here. You're certain that you and your mistress arrive considerably early.
"Yaho~ Looking for me, Sweetie?" the girl in question said behind you, coming out of nowhere. She was changed into the girl's P.E. 'uniform' already, proving that her image was never a lie yesterday. It led to you thinking about Vivi's state in the locker room, but you told yourself that she'll be fine. Hopefully, they have the correct size.
100% support Vivi's devious plan to plan Charles in the bonds if holy matrimony.
>>
Just a little side note, we'd better also take steps to avoid vivi's conversion into a yandere. She already has the clingyness and the murder instics, so we need to keep her on the rational side.
>>
>>3162224
Still an improvement. I do agree that we swung a bit too hard since if she gets rejected, the logic of our argument just told her it's open season on him.
I wonder if we should also get a shrike or butcherbird for Vivi. (publicly claim it's so that she's used to the family business without actually having to help out.) We can then use that as an excuse for any captured mice.
>>
>>3162224
Saul has successfully made it so that Vivi is open to the prospect of marriage with Charles. Now he needs to impress on her the importance of slowly making him more ameable to the idea over time (AKA the three years of high school), otherwise he'll spook like a deer.
Besides Vivi already likes prolonging her kills, as seen with how she plays with her critters. Saul just needs to impress upon her that slow and steady will give the most satisfaction at the end, and she'll probably be game.
and I don't think Charles is drowing in romantic prospects like the princes are probably are. The fact that he's in the body of a little kid and the subtle hints that his mother is not all there in the head are probably a turn off for most girls who dream of being swept off their feet by handsome men.
Hold up, if Mercedes and Henrison have talked before its strange that they don't know each others name...unless Czesara managed to make up an excuse to seperate them before they got to the point OF exchanging introductions each time? In that case it makes sense that Henrison was pretty insistent the group introduce each other when he ran into who he thought was Mercedes earlier, without Czesara present.
"Oh, my mistress had just came out of the locker room, care to join her?" avoiding Mercedes' implications.
Like you've said, Vivi had just walked back out of the same entrance, her borrowed dress changed to her own physical wear. She soon sees Mercedes next to you, approaching where you are in a matter of seconds. It looks like the maid that had gone with her supplied your mistress with a bigger pair of clothes for this hour, and - much like Mercedes - has the front of her shirt draped over like a hanging curtain.
Mercedes decided to talk along their way to the field, inspecting the key's sigil on your mistress' arm for a bit until she left it alone after a while. "How's your day so far, Madame D'Roix? It's surely a whole other experience from before, yes?"
"That's quite right. Apart from the aching in my shoulders, in which that I hope to get use to, I love what you did. However, I'm still thinking if I want to continue this after four or two days."
"Don't rush yourself, you'll have plenty of time until then," Mercedes assures. "Coming from Saul here, he said that you came across a little friend of mine. It seems that she sees you in a slightly different light than me, so you should be fine."
"Are you talking about that Czesara girl perhaps? Why, she was an....Unique character. Her disposition changed from cautious to an unnatural silliness..."
Upon arriving at the academy's field, you could see Caren waiting at a pole, presumably for Vivi. By the time you got close enough to her, Miss Caren's eyes immediately jumps to Mercedes. It's clear that she is comparing your mistress and the unlikely magician side by side, the light in her stare growing dispirited with each notice of their bodies. Then, she looks to you, wanting for an explanation without saying a word.
So we now have
>Vivi D'Roix
>Doremy D'Roix (Vivi with tits)
>Marie D'Roix (Mercedes)
If Vivi choses to go back to her regular form, Mercedes can always adopt the Doremy alias we've made if she ever needs a disguise. If Vivi keeps her tits, it'll be Doremy + Marie D'Roix.
I wonder what papa D'Roix will think if news filters back to him that he's somehow acquired two new daughters?
>>
>>3163559
the only one that has a slight chance to pass as vivi's sister is mercedes, but she'd need to change her looks, because right now she definitely doesn't looks like part of the D'Roix family by a long shot.
>>
>>3163566
Vivi got her skin from her mother, and her hair and eyes from her dad.
To explain how different she and '''Marie''' look, all we need to do is say is that Marie got her mother's (or some other relatives - grandma maybe?) eyes, definately inherited her mother's figure and has her dad's hair and skin. In school where the number of people who can recognize the royal executioner can probably be counted on one hand, this excuse should hold.
''''Doremy''', on the other hand is a dead ringer for her mother, apart from the eyes and hair of her dad.
>>
>>3163576
or we can make Mercedes "Doremy" and return vivi to her normal self, because right now no one has seen vivi and someone might ask questions.
but i disgress.
>>
>>3163579
Yeah if Vivi goes back to normal, then Mercedes can easily step into the Doremy role if needs be - all she needs is a Key to alter her skin and eye colour.
If Vivi doesn't go back to normal, then Mercedes will have to be Marie D'Roix because everyone knows busty!Vivi as Doremy now. That's when we bullshit like >>3163576
says about what feature she inhertied from which parent.
Dammit with this may alter-egos and Czesara playing the part of the villian, all we need now is a brewing conspiracy and some lovestruck boys thrown into the mix and we've got ourselves a Shakespeare production.
>>
>>3163594
>everyone knows busty!Vivi as Doremy now
Not really. The teachers definitely know vivi did something stupid to change her body and eventually one of them will call her by name and not by her surname. Also anybody that has two brain cells and a little bit of drive can ask the school for Doremy's name and she won't appear on the records.
>>
>>3163608
>call her by name
Since literally 90% of the school is nobility, isn't the teacher's calling them by their given name a bit rude? I'd imagine the teachers calling Vivi 'Miss D'Roix' only.
You're right about the records thing, though I'd imagine at this point the only one who's gonna go digging is Czesara. Vivi didn't make a name for herself while she was flat, and right now the only reason she's drawing so much attention is be due to everyone going 'hey, there's a girl with amazing tits in our class, was she there yesterday?' rather than 'How the fuck did the D'Roix chick grow tits overnight?' The only people that have drawn a conrete link between Vivi and Doremy are the people Vivi acutally spoke to yesterday - most people are gonna be like Czesara and mistake her for Mercedes, if anything.
I'd imagine if Vivi keeps her head down and acts like nothing is wrong then the scrutiny she's under will fade in a few days.
>>
>I'd imagine the teachers calling Vivi 'Miss D'Roix' only.
We could also straight up own the name and say that Doremy is just another name that vivi goes by.
>>
>>3163680
>eventually some teachers will call the studenta by name.
That usually only happens for students the teacher is friendly with, and I highly doubt Vivi will get to that point with any of them unless Saul prompts her to.
Point about the name thing, though Vivi and Doremy are dissimilar enough that one can't easily be passed off as a nickname
we can go with the bird idea. a hawk or a falcon will drive any suspicion away.
Honestly this is a solid idea imho. Falconry is the sport of nobles so we could get her a small raptor like a kestrel or peregrine falcon since those are "dainty" enough not to draw too much attention to the mistress on outings (though I'm sure she'd prefer a larger raptor since they can take bigger prey). Better still, she can use it to hunt wild prey for her to either watch or tear into or keep for her own games (falconers that sustenance hunt will "trade" with their bird meat for the kill and dispatch the prey itself so this is feasible). Sally meanwhile can be freed, killed, or given to Mercedes as a "thanks for the tits" gift from Vivi.
We could keep Sally and the Hawk - just say that Vivi is a bird lover. Keeping Sally around and justifying Hawk's purchase as just a new addition to Vivi's menagerie will draw less suspicion that Vivi deciding to randomly get a hawk out of the blue.
>>
>>3165813
So long as we don't let her have a cassowary I guess that could work. I'd still recommend with stick with a kestrel or falcon over a hawk though.
>>
>>3166556
I dont think she'll like cassowaries; as vicious as they can be, they tend to mind their own business and they are herbivores.
>>
>>3166604
If the hidden knife incident is any indication Vivi may just continue to surprise us.
>>
So it seems pelican/sea urchin/archelon bailed when we figured out who he was.
>>
>>3170003
well, fuck. I liked where this was going.
>>
>>3170003
eh, i'll only say quest dead if the weekend passes with no updates. Pelican has always been sporadic on weekdays + holiday period is over for wageslaves / college students now.
It'll be a crying shame if it is dead, I too liked how this quest was turning out.
>>
>Get home from 10 hour shift
>Expect update
>>
>>3175404
>die
>>
I pronounce this quest dead.
>>
welp. at least vivi hot the huge tiddies she wanted and was no route to become a decent person.
>>
This quest is now open to hijacking.
>>
Ughh, I kind of what to try to do it, but I don’t think I’ll have the same writing style of OP and lose what we liked about it. Maybe it’s better for it to die as is.
>>
>>3179026
Try it anyway.
OP's writing style was rather neutral and the plot had't move anywhere so you are fine to mold it to your likeing. When the worst case scenario is that we don't respond to the thread you have nothing to lose..
>>
>>3179026
Show us what you got.
>>
>>3179026
Try it out.
Long as you keep the plotlines anons have been consistenly voting for like
>Charles (+Rena), Caren and Mercedes becoming Vivi's buds
>Vivi's budding (attraction to Charles
>Matchmaker Saul helping along Mercedes x Prince
I don't see a problem.
>>
>>3179026
Worst thing that can happen is... Nothing happens.
Have a go at it.
>>
Welp, the quest is dead; LONG LIVE THE QUEST.
Deciding that it is best to leave Vivi to herself, you take a step back from the group, signaling Vivi through a hand gesture that you are leaving to another place.
She looks at you with a smile before turning back trying to get in a conversation with the group.
>Walk around the University(Rumor Searching?)
>Prepare something for Vivi(Write-in)
>Write-in
---
I never QM'd b4, but decided to try and give it a shot. Somethings I need to do:
>Make/organize a list of all the characters & their relationships
>Plan out some paths that may happen
>Attempt to write similar to the OriginalQM
I'm a college student studying Japanese & work on weekends. Advice would be much appreciated. I'll try my best anons, no promises though.
>Walk around the Academy*(Rumor Searching?)
>Prepare something for Vivi(Write-in)
>Write-in
>>
>>3186098
Should probably make a new thread with a disclaimer since this one is on page 10
>>
>>3186098
It lives! This quest lives!
>Prepare a rat for Vivi to enjoy later.
We did promise to get her a rat after all.
Also >>3186108 has a point - might as well make a fresh thread saying you're rebooting this.
>Attempt to write similar to the OriginalQM
desu the original QM's writing style was neutral enough that I wouldn't worry about this too much - just write how you're comfortable with.
>>
>>3186098
Since you wanna make a list of all the characters, I've made a list of all of Vivi's traits since she has by far the most characterisation these past threads.
>Vivi D'Roix
>Apperance
- Pretty much looks like Celestia from Danganronpa
-Super pale (inherited from her mother, who hails from the Northern Territories of the country)
-Blood red eyes and black hair (from her father)
-Normal figure: Slender, head reaches Saul's chest, pretty flat
-Key's figure: Curvy, head reaches Saul's shoulders, super busty
-She's still not sure if she should keep her Key's figure longterm.
>History
-Sole heir of Count D'Roix
- The D'Roix family is pretty infamous, and seen as pretty creepy to outsiders, thanks to their role as Royal Executioners. Vivi is already seen as the 'creepy D'Roix girl' based on the gossip Saul has heard.
- Vivi is going to be a female head of house eventually (a rarity, according to Charles)
-Will inherit her Father's role as Royal Executioner in the future. She's very much looking forward to this day.
-Used to being completely indulged by her family.
>SADIST
-LOVES cutting up creatures. Enjoys toying with them before eventually killing them.
-The biggest thing she's killed is cows/horses
-No indication she's killed humans
-Has a special dungeon all to herself in the manor for this purpose (Saul has explained this away as being a 'playroom', when she's accidentally brought it up among polite company)
-Has a favourite knife set, which has been smuggled into the academy and kept hidden under her bed.
-Keeps a knife in a thigh holster, hidden by her skirts
-Whenever something catches her interest, her FIRST instinct is to take them somewhere private and slowly cut them up.
-Fascinated by weapons / anything which can cause potential bloodshed.
-Joined the blacksmith club purely to learn how to make her own knives (and to be around the large amount of weapons kept in the smithy)
-The family has so far managed to keep her sadist side a secret from the world at large
>Other traits
-Very athletic
-Completely lacks modesty when around Saul
-Sleeps in the nude
-Around Saul she's a playful, bossy, ojousama who loves to tease
-Has pretty poor social skills, and if she had the choice would to sit on her own (with Saul) and not speak to any of her peers.
-Saul had to gently lead her into all social interactions she's had so far
-When meeting new people, she's shy, stutters a lot, finds it hard to lead a conversation
-Warms up to people pretty quickly after their first few meetings, showing more of the personality she shows around Saul
-But being more comfortable around others makes her more likely to accidentally let slip something which hints to her sadistic nature (which Saul then needs to scramble to explain away)
-Fascinated by boobs. Daydreams over growing her own set eventually, enthralled by Mercedes huge knockers when they first meet.
-Drinks a lot of milk (because she thinks that will help her grow boobs)
>>
>>3186191
And now Vivi's relationships
>Saul
-EXTREMELY co-dependent
-If she has the choice will chose to follow him anywhere
-It's completely natural to her that she and Sual will do everything together.
-Wary about Saul spending time with women who aren't her (especially those see as traditional 'beautiful' like Mercedes)
-Likes to tease him a lot
>Charles (oh boy)
-Vivi's bsolutely enchanted by him
-She likes to pet him (asks permission before she touches, than god)
-When in keys form she likes to keep him on her lap and smother him with her new boobs
-Saul needs to keep a constant eye on the two of them to make sure Vivi doesn't abscond with Charles (or to make sure Keys!Vivi doesn't suffocate him with her tits)
-Saul is trying to make sure her obession with Charles doesn't turn murderous by putting the idea in Vivi's head that she can court + marry him to keep him by her side forever. Vivi's pretty receptive to this idea.
-Knows that Keys!Vivi = regular Vivi. Doesn't really care what caused keys!Vivi to get her new figure.
-Doesn't know about 'Doremy D'Roix'
>Caren
-Friends with Vivi. Comfortable enough with Vivi to speak with her at lunch and in between classes.
-Bit envious of keys!Vivi's new figure
-Knows that Keys!Vivi = regular Vivi, but doesn't know what caused the changes in her apperance
-Knows that Keys!Vivi is using the alias 'Doremy D'Roix' while in her new form.
>Mercedes
-Friends with Vivi
- She and keys!Vivi look similar enough to each other that they can be mistaken for each other by those who don't know either of them well.
-Likes that Vivi isn't stuck up / pretentious like most other nobles.
- Nickname for Vivi = Darling D'Roix
-Leant keys!Vivi some for her clothes to wear until Saul gets new dresses made.
- Knows about keys!Vivi's 'Doremy D'Roix' alias and is likely to play along with it
-Potential for her to be introduced to others as 'Marie D'Roix', the third sister of the D'Roix family
>Czesara
-Vivi's views her neutrally, verging on dislike. She's unsettled by how easily Czesara can switch between her 'scheming, smug, bitch' and 'sweet ditz' personas.
-Czesara only knows Vivi as 'Doremy D'Roix'
>Doremy' D'Roix
Vivi and Saul are passing off Vivi's changed apperance to most of the student body by introducing keys!Vivi as her 'sister', Doremy 'D'Roix'.
-Prince Henrison and Czesara only know Vivi as Doremy.
-Caren, Mercedes, Charles and Rena know that keys!Vivi is just Vivi with tits.
