"Christ Alive." You mutter as you push your chair back from the desk. Logging out of PHO, you run your hands through your hair. You feel two slender arms reach around from behind you. You jump slightly.

"What is it Adam? You're so tense." She really is beautiful without all that garb and makeup. Running into the wrong class in Harvard, and sticking around for some acting class you gave absolutely zero shits about was possibly the best decision you could have made.

"Sherrel, babe. I told you not to bother me when I'm working. Besides don't you need to finish up the new rig for tonight's run?"

"Come on Adam, you know I can make something when the clock's ticking. A refurbished garbage truck for our new guys, overhauled engine, plenty of crew space, and that spinal mounted 50 cal is chump change compared to what we used to do."

"Babe you know we don't talk about that anymore, you know one little slip-up and its all over." You move to the vanity mirror, popping on the meth mouth dentures, and have Sherrel help smear on some grunginess.

You turn towards her. "Well? How do I look?"

She cracks a grin and giggles. "No longer Adam Mustain, chemistry mastermind, but rather the disgusting Skidmark."

"Good, you know why we need to do this, Sherrel."

"You've told me a million times."

You light a blunt, which you pa and complete the routine that has become almost a ritual for you.

"One for the money."

"Two for the show."

"Three for the game."

"Four for the- Oh shit it's time to go!"

Attacking an arms deal is tempting but it'll bring down extra heat on us depending on who the dealer is, and the Empire will still be pissed off at us.
I still want to get more guns, though.

"Well Skids.... If we raid an arms deal we have to deal with whoever they were buying from or selling to. We still need the guys. So why don't we find a warehouse where they store guns and hit that?" You say, tilting your head to the side inquisitively.

He looks at you with seemingly confusion, before his ruined mouth cracks open in a wide grin. "God damn cocksucker! That's what I'm talking about, you ain't just all blood and guts, you got some brains in that fucking bleached skull of yours." He turns to Red and begins firing off orders. "We need to send some of the bag boys into Empire turf to keep track on what comes and goes from their warehouses. We have a map of some known ones. Squealer, what do you need to make a piece to move Famine to the site, get the fucking loot, and smear any bitches that get in our way."

Red walks over to the desk with Skidmark and begins looking over the scattered papers on it, Squealer stands in silence before responding.

"A big garbage truck Skiddy, I can ramp that a big rig like that, and throw a few fun little bits in it."

"Good, let's keep this thing under fucking lock. Ain't no one need to fucking know except us. Mush, I want you to start whipping about 10 guys into shape to get this shit done, Famine you'll be helping him considering they'll be in the back with you. Get them to fucking stop tweaking so they can shoot straight. Free doses for a week for the fuckhead that carries the most guns back. Can you do it?"

"Yes Skidmark."
"Yeah man." Say you and Mush respectably.

"Aight. Y'all have your assignments, what the fuck you standing around for!" He says as he turns back to Red and starts pointing at areas on the map.

Mush looks at you. "Come on man, let's get to it." You both head downstairs and line up some of the most reliable looking Merchants (i.e. not currently shaking, asleep, or stoned out of their minds.)

In the fenced lot behind the headquarters, there is the fleet of company cars (stolen), several dilapidated couches, and targets lined up. Before you stands ten Merchants, some looking like the stereotypical homeless man, others looking like college dropouts that just want to smoke dope, and about two look like legitimate gangbangers.

Mush stands next to you and says "Aight, well we can fire off shots here, cops and PRT stopped patrolling long ago, and anyone that would hear wouldn't call anyway. We need to whip you fucks into shape for a job Skidmark wants done in about 2 days. How you want to do this Famine."

Mush and yourself set up a small circuit for the trainees to run through for the next 2 days. The men have to run large duffle bags filled with cinder block between points, and pass them to the next in a relay race form. By the end of it, they are panting and covered in sweat, and then Mush has them run through a few shooting drills. While they're no crack shots, they can hit a target, and should not have any friendly fire incidents.

We need a scout, pronto. I wouldn't be surprised if our debut scared the 88 so much they've deliberately set up a trap with their best Capes to specifically nab us.

We also need to keep moving, and fast. Since a lot of Merchants are nomads, mobility is on our side, and if we keep hit-and-running they'll have no good way to decisively strike at us while we bleed them dry.

You come to the planning room with Mush at the end of the two days. Red is standing in front of the door, and turns towards the two of you.

"Skids left a sock on the door, trust me, just wait." Mush lets out a laugh, and even you have a light chuckle escape between the gnashing of your jaws.

"So I'm assuming you two got your crew?" Red asks.

"Yeah, they should-Clack be ready for tonight, I'm the big gun. They're just here to move weight." You reply. Red gives a sharp nod.

"Damn straight. Listen, Mush you're gonna stay here with me for the night, keep the order. Skid's and Squealer will be driving-"

"AIGHT FUCKERS, COME ON IN!" Shouts Skidmark from the other side of the door. You all file in and take up your various positions around the room. You, squatting in front of the table across from Skidmark and Squealer, while Red and Mush begin grabbing various drugs and paraphernalia in the room; seemingly for the night to come.

"Famine, my man." Says Skidmark, grinning at you from across the table. " Our boys that were stepping around those skinhead fucks turf kept eyes on those fucking warehouses."

"What do they look like, in terms of protection?"

"I'm getting to that, we have about 3 we know for sure have the guns we need. One is a dog-fighting ring/arms warehouse that Hookwolf is hanging at. I bet you can handle him, but for use fuckers without deer heads and machete fingers, that's off the table. Its the closest one though, no risk of the fucking cops or reinforcements busting us up. Next is a warehouse a bit further south, it has about 5 armed guards and maybe one cape they rotate, last time it was Krieg, tonight it should be Viktor and if he's there Othala may be as well. The last one is the southernmost, and is patrolled by Alabaster and Cricket, along with a small group of heavily armed fucks, fucking body armor and the whole nine. Whatever they have there, is something big."

"What one we hitting boss?" You ask.

"I'm leaning towards the second, but since you'll be on the ground with the boys I want to hear your ideas."

You think. The options go through your head. The best choice of loot, chances of survival, and the ability to get away.

"How fast can the rig go Squealer?" You ask suddenly.

The blonde haired woman looks up from a truck magazine and narrows her eyes. "Fast enough, it's not so much the speed that's the fucking limiter. It's the mass of the rig that pushes every other shitlip off the road."

"Hmmm.... Warehouse 3 would be my choice, whatever they have there is important. Whatever it is we don't want the Empire to keep their fucking hands on. Plus we can send a message, nail that pasty piece of shit to a wall, let them know they can't fuck with the Merchant's anymore. Plus if we knock Othala when hitting Warehouse 2 you know they're gonna go nuclear." You finish pacing, turned towards Skidmark. He is smirking with a knowing smile.

"This is the start of some great shit Famine, today is the day everyone learns; Nobody fucks with the Merchants."

Everyone files out behind Skiidmark, and you make your way to the back lot where your party is waiting for you. Skidmark gives them a critical eye. "Listen shitlickers. We're gonna do this fast, in and out. We're raiding an Empire warehouse for guns and shit, they have something there that is pretty fucking important, possibly some Tinker shit. Famine is gonna be taking all the shots, you're job is to stay alive and get the fucking loot. You understand, cuntlickers?" He says, riling himself up.

"Yes Skids! Yeah boss!" Rings out in a chorus.

He turns back to you. "Good job on the training, atleast they're not drooling. Squealer should be coming around with the ri-" He is cut off by the deafening roar of the great mechanical beast that peels out into the lot. He shouts the rest of the orders near your earholes. "GET THE BOYS IN THE BACK WITH THE BAGS, I'LL BE IN THE COCKPIT WITH SQUEALER, GET IT? COCKPIT?" He quickly flies off, using his power to race across the ground, and joins Squealer in armored cab.

You rangle the men and their gear into the back of the homemade APC, apparently Squealer redesigned the crushing mechanism of the garbage truck into a strong cargo hold with blast doors that mute the engine's noise.

You're sitting on a slightly larger bench while your party shoots the shit around you, when Skidmark's voice crackles over an intercom.

"HEY! HEY! SHUT THE FUCK UP IN THERE! I'M TALKING! We're gonna hit these guys hard tonight, Famine is gonna rip them a new asshole, and y'all are gonna snatch their pretty toys right from under their noses. Aren't y'all tired of it? Tired of seeing their goosestepping across this fucking city? I can fucking hear you so give me a fucking answer numbnuts!"

"YEAH!" Scream the men

"WE'RE GONNA SMACK IN THERE, AND TAKE BACK OUR FUCKING PRIDE, WE'RE GONNA FUCKING SEND A MESSAGE... Y'all know what it is. Say it with me now." He finishes quietly, then his voice joins the cry that you all say.

"NO ONE FUCKS WITH THE MERCHANTS!"

Squealer's driving leaves much to be desired. While the interior is roomy, many of your posse are rattled around, swaying one way and the other whenever she makes a sharp turn. It seems she never once touched the brakes. You can feel and hear loud clangs when a car on the street does not pull over quickly enough, and thus is ran off the road.

After merely 8 minutes, you feel the sharp deceleration and the screaming of the brakes burrows through your head. Skidmark's voice blares from the speaker "Cricket is outside, Alabaster not to be seen. GO! GO! GO!" The revving of the massive gun mounted on top roars to life as Skidmark laughs.

You push your way to the door and smack the large red button to open it. Its pistons hiss and lift the bulky doors in mere seconds. You fly out on all fours as your men file out behind you.

The warehouse is a normal one, once surrounded by a chainlinked fence, which has been plowed over by Squealer's aggressive driving. Skidmark is raining fire upon a small group of Empire member that have taken cover behind sandbags and Jersey-barriers. A strange purple sheen is coated over the barrel of the gun, and its shots blow out chunks of the concrete where they land. He seems to be keeping them occupied.

A lithe woman with several scars, a buzz-cut, and a wire cage around her head, dances in between the bullets making her way to you.

You grab a small bit of concrete, and throw it at the door to the compound; busting open the thick metal door. "Go, I'll follow you in shortly." You growl out. The men rush into the building, but many are still on their way.

A wave of high-pitched sound hits you. Your head spins and you fall to your knees and begin to retch.

Skidmark pulls the hatch on top the rig shut with a loud clang. You smack Cricket's head against the pavement, and she becomes even more of a limp doll in your blade-like fingers.

As you rush towards the broken open door, you see the several of the Empire men swept off their feet as a purplish sheen appears on the ground beneath them. Squealer and her creation roar in united rage, and the several ton vehicle rockets forward, pulping the men that can't move in time.

Inside the warehouse you see 4 of your guys crouched behind a box, and they beckon you over. With two great leaps you come to a skidding stop in front of them. One of the oozes blood and is moaning. You throw down Cricket.

"Status report!" You bark out.

Leaping from rack to rack, you zero in on Alabaster's position. When you finally draw close, you rake a hand along a rack as you run, cutting through the supports and sending it crashing to the ground.

"Come out you pasty fuck!" You shout in his direction

"Well, well, well... aren't you ugly." Says a pure white man as he rounds the corner. He unloads two small Uzi's at you

"My turn." You say as you begin your charge.

Alabaster tries to dodge, but is swiftly impaled upon your ivory horns. However, a wide grin is upon his lips as blood gurgles from his mouth. A few seconds later, he pops off your pointed horns, restored in full. He lets out a small laugh.

"Come on man, I will never die." He unloads another burst upon you, but you dart out of the way.

"GUYS, REGROUP AND GET TO THE FUCKING RIG. DUMP CRICKET OUTSIDE!" You yell, your voice echoing through the building. You hear your man you first met give an affirmative, and the scuffling of shoes against the concrete floor.

Alabaster starts to speak again "You know after this, Kaiser is gonna come down on you degenerates like a fucking rain. We're gonna pull you out by your ha-" You silence him with a quick slash across the midsection, rending him in two

Once again, he pops together, grinning madly.

You drop the lower half of Alabaster's remains to the ground, which land with a wet smack. Deciding to make haste, you run to the warehouse wall, and scissor your claws with all your strength, breaking through the brick.

Outside you see one of the Merchant's unloading on the remaining Empire men, while seemingly Squealer is aiding Skidmark. You rush to where Cricket's unconcious form is laying, scoop her up in your knife-fingers, and bound towards the back of the rig where your men are waiting.

You haven't even pressed the button to close the hatch before Squealer smashes the gas. The man with the wounded leg moans out in pain, while the other's are either tending to him, or seemingly looking tense.

You hear Skidmark speak over the intercom "Aight, Famine, fuck. This ain't that bad. Isn't the first damn time I took a fucking bullet from a Nazi. We got a horse doctor back at base that can patch our shit, talking about you Rick. This is a good haul fuckers. We nabbed both their capes, right Famine?"

"Alabaster is gone, I got Cricket right here." You say as you throw her to the bed of the rig.

"Hehe....good fucking work man. This changes shit. We ain't no little bitch to be pushed around. We're gonna have to move shop after this hit though. You're gonna have to help me with that man, need something defensible, and you're gonna train these fucks into something respectable."

The men in the rig look at you expectantly, and one speaks up "You got this shit Famine, you keep fucking up those Nazi shits, and we'll follow you." They all nod in agreement.

PRT THREAT ASSESSMENT:

◈ Name: FAMINE: No other known alias, presumed Case 53 or Changer

Classification: Brute 7, Blaster 6, Trump 8, Mover 2, Stranger 2

Disposition: Known Merchant affiliate. While Famine seemingly kills without hesitation, he has also been known to stay his hand [see: Cricket Kidnapping]. Known Cannibal, not known if the result of mental instability or Case 53 mutation [see: Dietary abnormalities common among Case 53's/changers]
Location: Brockton Bay, North Side, Merchant Territory. First Sighting was by the warehouses in the South Docks 2011
Age: Unknown Status: Wanted for the Murder of 2 capes and several civilians in recent gang conflicts, order to be subdued, and taken for questioning, may not be aware of how what he is doing is wrong.
Height: 12'2" Weight:
450 lbs.
Class S Option: NO [See Director Costa-Brown's Note]
Appearance: Large bestial appearance, covered in fur and bulky, but can vary to appear emaciated and have bones showing. Possesses large clawed fingers, the longest being 2' in length. Legs can snap and switch from bipedal format to quadruped. Slouched spinal posture. Head appears as a bony deer skull with predatory teeth, and long, sharp antlers. General appearance resembles Wendigo of Native American folklore.

General:
Famine first appeared in public eye around January 1, 2011 in the fights between the Empire and the Merchant, in the South Docks over drug territory. His debut resulted in the death of Stormtiger, the maiming of Rune and her subsequent capture [see: Empire release of Rune 2011]. Has taken part in other Merchant gang activities, known to have taken a position of power.

Personality:
Observed to be violent, expressing little remorse for assault and murder. Potential of mental instability should be noticed for his repeated consumption of human flesh. Seems to carry a partial-leadership position within the Merchants, most likely the reason for the escalation between the Empire and Merchants, thus causing the ABB to push the Empire's rear.

Powers:
Superhuman Strength-Capable of breaking through reinforced brick walls, cutting through metal, etc. Limits not known.
Blaster Scream- Famine seemingly can "scream", victims describe it as every feeling of pain going at once, and most experience unconsciousness after. Capes experience permanent power loss, as the both Coronas are seemingly removed.
Highly stealthy
Can run at speeds clocking at 53 mph when he can pick up speed. Purely physical

We're made to eat endbringers and reclaim shards by eating capes to fuel spook powers. Also something with FATHER, which is probably bad.
>>
>>3150794
Which makes me wonder, are we going to get any payoff for reclaiming a bunch of shards, like power boosts? It would give us incentive to continue.

Speculation 2: Entity Boogaloo

So, Mr. Meddles confirmed for us that CONSUME & RESET translates to GIMME YOUR FUCKING SHARDS. If I'm reading this right, we get reclamation points for eating bitches, and we can burn those for our abilities such as screaming like we're in Bloodborne.

I would also like to re-theorize some of my previous points from the last thread:
>ABBADON felt great sorrow for his mistake
>Zion will welcome you with either forgiveness, or hatred
>The Shard left behind by the wondering Worm. One meant as a token begging forgiveness, One to right the wrongs
This actually makes sense now. Abaddon's trying to make amends, maybe because he bumped into Eden which destroyed several planets, with this neat little shard he made. That's us.

To conclude:
>We're probably not an Endbringer
>Leviathan is still gonna get CONSUMED
>Alabaster's shard was like "haha temporal reset- oh god oh fuck",
>That last dream sequence might've been us viewing our kills, saying hi to Abbadad on Christmas, and something about snow which might be related to MEN DYING IN SNOWY WASTELAND

But I don't know anything about said snow, or
>YOU ARE NOT ONE OF US, WHO MADE YOU
because I'm still not an expert, and never will be.

Indeed.
>>
>>3151114
Very good. I'm pleased. I've got something special for the dream bit.
>>
>>3151114
>YOU ARE NOT ONE OF US
might be the Zion shard noticing that, big surprise, ours isn't one of them.
>MEN DYING IN SNOWY WASTELAND
The warehouse was basically a wasteland to the Merchants because E88 isn't inclined to give them any sustenance. Snow is thus cocaine.
>reclaiming shards
Maybe Abbadad is putting the shards back together so he can bring back Eden? He might have a shard to do some bullshit like that.
>>
>>3151963
I didn't think of that. I suppose a question mark should've been at the end of it, then.
>YOU ARE NOT ONE OF US. WHO MADE YOU?
Yeah, that makes more sense.
The whole "snow is cocaine" thing might work, or it might be something different and we're like an english teacher thinking about what the author meant when he said the sky was blue.

I do agree with the shard reclamation, since Abbadad did exchange shards with Eden and that didn't exactly end well.

Anyone who does not refer to FATHER as Abbadad must leave the thread.
>>
>>3151963
"Snow is thus cocaine." Gave me a hearty chuckle.
Without further ado.

The guns are taken to a store room, Skidmark is letting you use one of the Tinker weapons, the rest are going towards a "project"

Skidmark gathers everyone out back. He is pacing, when suddenly he turns towards the crowd. He looks over everyone, and the silence is damning. Red seems nervous almost. He pulls in a breath... and lends sound to the silence.

"My friends, for the past 5 years I have led you. I've given you what you wanted, a respite from the sneering glares of those that don't understand our struggles." Many of the Merchants appear confused, Skidmark never addresses the masses like this.

"For 5 years, we have wallowed in filth, darted around in the shadows... but tonight that has all changed. We have decimated the enemy in our battles. However we must not become complacent and forget what has allowed us to survive this long. I want everyone to pack up their shit, get a good night's rest. Come tomorrow, we're moving shop. Now for the rewards, Rick comere!" He finishes pointing at Rick, who slowly hobbles over to Skidmark.

"Rick has proven himself, not only did he take a bullet from the Empire, but he still managed to pull the largest haul tonight!" Claps and cheers go around.

"And to the victor, go the spoils!" Skidmark removes a bag from his coat, and palms it off to Rick, along with a shiny pistol. "Keep up the good work Rick."

"You got it Skids." Rick hobbles back into the crowd.

"Now come-on you fucks, we're leaving nothing here, we got work to do! Squealer needs that fucking copper wiring we put in! Get at it!" He shouts, and the milling crowd quickly disperses back into the building, seemingly to pack up their personal items, and the gang's.

Skidmark walks up to you, swings his arm around to pat you on the back, winces and thinks twice about it, clutching his shoulder. "Famine, I can't thank you enough, you've changed everything around here. Get some rest, we have a big day tomorrow." He meanders on inside with you, which is a bustling hub of activity, Red and Mush seem to be organizing work crews to pack up drugs, arms, and remove Squealer's modifications to the place.

You make you way up to the Cape level, the top floor where your personal rooms are. Your bedding is more of two futons pushed together with several blankets, but it doesn't feel all that much different. You reach into the small mini-fridge Skidmark gifted you, and retrieve a beer and a whole rotisserie chicken.

We should play like the ambush predator that we are: jump in, tard-screech the shards out of our enemies, then eat them while our mooks fight theirs; rinse and repeat till all the capes are gone and then mop up the non-capes.

Also, I have to say that Abbadad's English is remarkably good for a giant godlike alien from another dimension.
>>
(If you guys want any clarification on what happened, basically Abbadon left a "relay" of himself on Earth, in hopes a human would stumble across it and thus be able to fix his mistake. He evolved differently than the other Entities as Wildbow stated "A member of their own species, approaching. It was smaller, took a different form. It used different means to travel. " "This entity sees new possibilities, now. Not simply conflict, but philosophy and psychology. Imagination. It is in these new patterns of thought that it can see a possibility for the future")

Note that Cloak of Shadows is "basically Shadow Stalker's shard" as per >>3152543 and would therefore also make us immune to small arms fire while also letting us phase through shit and blend with shadows, and even counters brutes by letting us phase things inside them.

In canon Sophia had these weaknesses:
>Weak to electricity (BIG ONE)
>Stalling inside things hurts
>Gasses merge with our fog-body, hurting us if we phase out while they're inside us
>Grue's gas is hard for us to pass through and hurts us like any other gas

The big question is how much we have in common with this. I don't see Meddles taking away the electricity weakness so it might be the stalling weakness that we lose and the gas weakness may or may not be reduced.
>>
>>3152579
The Cloak of Shadows has it so electricity and fire are impassible, but due to your unique physiology and reduced pain, a taser would merely shift you back to corporeal, not cripple you. You can shift through things, fully meld into darkness, and maintain your own form.
>>
>>3152579
>>3152588
Phasing is a bullshit power regardless, so I'm all for it.
>2 Reclamation for Cloak of Shadows (Stranger- Allows to take form of a black gas, melds into darkness.)

snow is cocaine lol, fuckfuckfuckfuck Eden's dead and Zion's not gonna like that, praise Abbadad for realizing this shit's fucked up
>>
>>3152588
>An example would be...

A PRT trooper is making his rounds on his beat along the perimeter of the compound. He casts a small shadow from the lights overhead. From the outskirts, a thin ray of shadow extends out of the darkness.

It connects with his shadow, and it becomes darker . He continues along his way, when suddenly his shadow bubbles up into a hulking, ghostlike form. It's bladed fingers trace through the air, and bury themselves in the trooper's back. The man looks down in confusion, but then releases a death rattle; as the massive form of Famine fully manifests, and rends him in two.

Can the gas choke people if we deliberately force ourselves down their throats (heh)? If so, it would be a good way to non-lethally subdue people if we want live captives for whatever reason.
>>
>>3152962
We already have the tard screech. If we want to capture singular targets we can just break their legs or cut their tendons or something
>>
>>3152965
Sure, but cutting a victim has a nasty probability of having them bleed out, killing them anyway, and a Scream will alert literally everyone in our vicinity to our position, including unwanted interference like the authorities (who are almost certainly hunting us now). Choking is thus an efficient way of discreetly taking down one or even multiple targets.

>Cloak of Shadows

You rise from your bed, and you feel strange. The world around you is in complete greyscale, and seems hazy. You move your claws in front of your face, and they seem be smokey; whisping around as you move them.

You move to the door, less of walking, but more of drifting across the ground with great alacrity. Trying to open the door, you find your hand sinks through. Moving forward, you suffuse through and underneath the door.

Stepping out into the hall, you see Skidmark milling around, moving bags of gear. With a thought you return . Skidmark jumps and stares at you gobsmacked.

"Holy fucking shit Famine, you're one of those capes."

Looking behind you, a long tattered robe of whispy shadows trails behind you.

"What's happening to me?" You ask, minor panic filling you.

"You're one of those exponential capes, you grow stronger with time... just like Dauntless. Cum soaked hell man, you just keep getting better and better. Now listen man, we need to pick a new spot. You're gonna help me."

"How so?"

"I've got three different spots selected, one being a lightly damaged freighter in the boat graveyard, gonna be a bitch to make it comfy, but out of the way and plenty of room to grow. Plenty of fuckin material too. The next is a fucking abandoned industrial site, some fucking foundry that used to be owned by Fortress, the endbringer shelter fuckers. Lastly we've got this fucking another busted up tenament. Just like this one basically, just needs some fixing up."

>>
>>3154381
>skaven tech priest
>Sylvanas
What the fuck kinda setting is this?
>>
>>3154392
My dm doesn't believe in modules, all homebrew. The back story is a fucking 50 page notebook. Industrialization pissed off the nature god, and he's trying to break through the divine gate to bring down his wrath. We one time went through a fucked up teleportation sigil in search of a blood mage on the Wild Continent, ended up in Mad'na City (imagine nice Roman Empire with guns and sky ships) 20 years later. Our campaign shifted from wild west to world war 1-2
>>
>>3154405
The setting actually sounds interesting, but Skaven Techpriest is still fucking weird because it's a fundamental fact that all Skaven worship the Great Horned Rat. Please tell me he at least worships Horned-Rat-as-Omnissiah
>>
>>3154412
Basically, he seeks to consume the divinity of Sylvanas and become a Skaven god of enlightenment. Skaven Jesus
>>
>>3154412
The Great Horned Rat in my Dm's eyes is a demon that has decieved the skaven race into total worship. In his realm of control (skavenblight) he is all powerful, but far away enough, his control fades.
>>
>>3154415
You have to have him crucified for his beliefs then it's the only logical progression

>>3157290
That is a very good question. I have no idea if AbbaDad wants Eden shards or not.. probably better consume him just to be sure. Or make him our personal tinker by helping him not be retarded. Leet would be so OP if he wasn't a moron
>>
>>3157290

The real question is

When will we be sent to the Birdcage?
>>
>>3157416
That's only if we become too big for our boots and become a clear threat to lots of lives. Right now they think we're a C53 bruiser who can turn off powers permanently, so they'll want to "rehabilitate" us
>>
>>3157472

I sure do wonder how much we'll resember dad by the end
>>
>>3157472
>trying to rehabilitate a 12 foot monster with an endless hunger that can only begin to be sated by human flesh
I'm sure that'd go fine.
>>
>>3157503
Imagine if we murdered Butcher and took the full loadout. We may go insane but our rampage would be legendary.
>>
>>3157507

We should compile a meal list
>>
>>3157502
Given how big Dad is, I think it would be more appropriate to compare us to one of his shards.
Speaking of shards, what do you think Abaddad's loadout is? We know that Eden is supposed to have more Thinker and Tinker shards than Zion, so given our power and the fact that Abbadad DID cause Eden's death, I can see him with a counter-entity build with lots of Trump shards.
>>3157507
How would that work out? Our power might beat the Butcher shard and send everything back to to Abaddad, which would earn us a dozen reclamation points all at once.

This gives me an idea...
What if we made a bunch of Butchers and reclaimed a gorillion shards all at once?
>>
>>3157503
Not just human flesh. We honestly could go hero if we wanted.
>>
>>3157520
If we wanted to make Abbadad happy, I think reclaiming the 12 butcher shards would be a great step towards it. We should make a point of hunting them down whenever the opportunity presents itself.

>>3157300
Abbadad told us that the cycle was fucked, which it is, and needs us to essentially reclaim every shard on the planet as our final goal. So, we have our work cut out for us.
>>3157472
>>3157527
Yeah, fuck those guys. I honestly prefer sticking with the homeless bros, and who knows? Maybe we can help change some of their ... less desirable attributes.
>>3157507
I don't think we get the powers of those we scream at or even consume: The shards are presumably sent to Abbadad so he can fix shit, anyway. Still, reclamation points are always nice.

Based on our current loadout, it does seem like his shtick is "bullshit 101" if phasing, power removal and beast-like physiology is anything to go by.

No, we honestly couldn't.
>>3157534
Anything we do takes Shards away and, again, presumably sends them to Abbadad. Since the vials are literally made from chunks of Eden's corpse, I imagine he'd appreciate it if we got those back to him.

That sounds....incredibly difficult, almost impossible to be honest. The more capes we put under, the bigger of a target we make ourselves. Assuming we actually do manage to take down all of AND and the empire, an incredibly difficult feat on it's own, it would just make the merchants a super high priority target by the government as a whole, let alone the local heroes. We're a gang, we need to strike a balance between pushing and solidifying our position, and not overstepping and bringing the united cape community down our heads.
>>
>>3157636
What if we do something like a mix of The WhiteBeard Pirates and the Yakuza where we have to a ritual or some shit to like show they're Family and shit

>The Boat Graveyard

>-15 HUNGER

You cock your head to the side. Shadows dance up and down your neck like thick smoke. "Skidmark... What is your long term plan?"

He narrows his eyes and grits his teeth. "Famine, there's questions you shouldn't ask. I understand your concern, but that is the one fucking thing you don't ask. My job is the order behind the chaos. If we don't know what we're doing, the enemy doesn't know what we're doing. Should everything work out the way I hope it does... this will all change, we'll turn this whole world on it's ass, I've got a plan Famine, just trust me. So what's your choice?"

You release a sigh, the sound of clattering bones in the wind. "The Boat Graveyard. If we can establish a stable-CLACK-holding, nothing will be able to drive us out. We can branch out through to the other freighters for storage and housing."

His posture relaxes, and cracks his signature grin. "Famine, we are so close, and you have no idea the things we have in store. But I'm gonna let you in on a secret... not even Mush knows. I've been sober except for weed and alcohol since I left college. Now get to the lot. We're loading up."

You stand shocked for a bit, as he skids down the stairs using his power. You S̸̨̹̗̣̻̹̗͐͆̾̿͆͘̚͟͢h̴̭̘͍͈͉̏̈͆͊͘͟͜ȋ̸̼̜̩͌̿̂̓̓͜ͅf͓̟̳̹̭̮̌͊͒͌͐͜ť̢̠̳̤̤̣͐͗̆͊͑̍̒́͢͟͜ to shadows, and flow down the stairs. Many members of the gang jump in fright and begin to freak, until Skidmarks laughs and announces "It's Famine you fucks, he's growing stronger, now get to the fucking cars."

In about 30 minutes the roughly 150 members of the Merchants have loaded into several busted up SUV's, jeeps, and trucks. You are loaded into an old flatbed with a covered top. The convoy splits paths, and as you are driven away by Red you can see your old home burst into flames behind you. It cuts through the hunger for a small moment; the strange feeling of watching the home of your new family burn behind you. Red seemingly notices your sadness.

"Listen man, its all good. It's the way we've been living for a while, it's just a place. The Merchant's aren't a base, the dope we push, it's the people. The happy, high, family." He gives out a small chuckle. He smacks the radio until it comes into tune. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I0eZwpHtcK4

Abbadon's shard loadout is far more exotic, even for other Entities. It confused Eden for long enough to cause her to crash. Keep in mind he's been all alone for his entire existence, he's had to cope with that. So he instead turned to the creature's he visited for companionship.

His cycles are the ones that don't end in mass death and destruction

On one hand you aren't wrong, on the other Nazi gangster are one thing but we'd be crossing a new line eating an innocent dude just doing his job, no going back from that. Really the biggest factor for me is whether the heat from potentiality getting caught killing a cop beats out just knocking one out but alive.
>>
So general idea is going shadow, sneaking to the cop car, taking care of the cameras and the partners. Then bolting back to the car and taking care of the cop talking to Red, then booking it to the site.

The question seems to be, lethal or non-lethal. >>3157741

"Stay here, keep him occupied." You whisper to Red.

"Aight man, but I ain't going in cuffs man." He says as he jostles a pistol in his waist band.

You wait for the cop to reach the tail of the truck, then you seep through the bed of the truck, trickling like sands falling through holes.

You feel yourself pushing through the machinery, and once you're underneath the bed of the truck you C̶̩̜̞͇̮͖͊͛̍͐́̎͟͢͜͡ọ͙̠̝̈́̿̔̈̾̇̚l̼̖̣̞̦͐͗̍̔͐̽̍̑͝l̶̩̹̫̻̮̠͕̦̫͒͊̓̊͛̈̋͘a̬̪͓͍̞͑̾́̎̂̏̄̑p̴̟̱̼̬͇̦̪̼̞̀͊́̏͘͜s̵͔̟̪̭͇̗͚̘̀̓̓̒͢͠ȩ̶̧̡̫̳̥̺͎̄̌̈̄̏̿ . Your whispy form becomes nothing more than a flat mass of darkness. A shadow without light.

You slink towards the cop car, its almost reminiscent of crawling. Your form is there, but not. Once underneath the cop car, you seep up. Rising into the darkened interior, you wrap yourself around the distracted cop. He struggles trying to scream, but you surge inside him. Rushing into his lungs, he gasps for air, and then quickly seizes his struggling.

Reaching a hand forward, you Ş̢͕̔͌͛̌͒̽͟͢ḣ̷̻͖͈̱͎̣̮͛̀̀̾͑̾̉̕͘i̸̱͎̯̜̞͋̾̍̄͛f̡̣͇̹̣̥̽̌͐͊̚͜t̴͉̥̻̹̖͇̠̾̽̄̽́̽ your arm. Slicing the dashboard you send sparks of electricity from broken computer and camera.

Hearing the loud noise of crushed equipment, the other cop standing at the car turns towards you. He sees you shadow form lunging at him, draws and fires. The bullets pass through with no resistance.

Coming to the material, you wrap your arms around him, and bash his head against the truck. You drop his limp, but breathing form against the pavement.

Red looks at you with wide eyes, sweating bullets. "You got the camera right?"

"Yeah, I think so."

He looks contemplative, then jerks a thumb to the back. "Shadow on in, if they didn't get a call in it'll be awhile before backup arrives. We'll be long gone." You push through the truck and retake your laying down position.

Red releases a deep sigh of relief. His trembling hands wrap around the steering wheel, put in it into drive; you're on your way.

Red pulls up the outskirts of what at first seems to be large parking lot full of gravel. He throws the truck into park and removes the keys. He turns back to face you.

"Hey man, we're gonna have to continue you on foot. Can't bring any heat on the new place, you know?" You grunt in confirmation, and shadow-shift through the side of the truck. Red throws a look your way.

"You know just because you can, doesn't mean you got to be lazy; you can still open doors man."

Testaments to man's desire to conquer the sea, the freight ships.

Large groups of Merchants are moving duffel bags, crates, and various other objects into one. It doesn't stick out in any particular way except that it's leaning against another.

You see Skidmark standing on top of the the rig that was used for the raid on the Empire's warehouse, he smiles as he sees you and Red approach, jumps down and begins to walk towards you.

"My boys, y'all have a smooth ride on the way here?"

Red speaks up. "We ran into some trouble with the cops, Famine took care of it; no blood, no evidence, no lives lost." Skidmark gives a curt nod.

"Keeps the heat off us for the meantime, you're our knife in the dark, and our brute in the dark. It's important we keep you from getting Caged." He throws his uninjured arm around you.

He sweeps an arm at the sight before you "Famine, here is where we make a true name for ourselves. It all changes here, the Merchants become a true power player. With you behind us, no one in this dying town can send us back into the abyss."

He walks you up to the looming metal colossus. The men are being directed by Squealer, welding plates of stock steel together, which are being hoisted by men higher up on scaffolding.

Inside, rooms are divided by blankets being suspended on lines, a small generator is pumping away in the corner.

"Now my friend, we have a lot of work ahead of us. I need you to take leadership, and direct work crews."

>Yes - accept the Rank of Merchant Commander, can lead a party of 50 men. Responsibilities come with this, you hold the lives of the Merchant's in your claws
>No- Skidmark will be deeply disappointed.

Also talking about your plan to fortify and secure the new base will be crucial. Skidmark will be gone for 1 week and a half, he is offering you a position almost equal to Squealer. He doesn't have all that many expectations for when he comes back, except that the Merchants remain and hold this point.

(I'm going to catch some z's, talk it out.)

These are the collected arms of the Merchants

>Unlimited melee weapons
>30 units worth of standard arms (pistols, bolt-action rifles.
>15 units of advanced arms (machine guns, grenades, sniper rifles.
>5 single use high-explosives
>5 units of Tinker arms ( plasma, laser, etc) (4 are reserved by Squealer for a project, upon asking exactly what it is "Fuck off, it'll be ready in a few days.")

You have
>40 Uninitiated Merchants
>30 Mediocre Merchants
>30 Moderate Merchants
>20 Skilled Merchants
>30 Veteran Merchants
>Mush and Squealer

Not every member is a fighter however, many are street level. The Veterans are mostly distributors for the drugs, but highly motivated and loyal to the idea of the Merchants; they handle the finances.

Vehicles
>30 assorted SUVs
>10 Trucks
>10 Sedans
>2 Semi's
>APC Rig

Finances that you can touch
>$10,000
The living costs of the merchants are handled by the Veterans, as Skidmark finds it pointless to have that much of a hands on approach.

>>
>>3158033
We can't. We have no reclamation to burn to activate it.

Honestly, we should only use screaming when we're in deep fucking shit because it's very, VERY costly.
>>
>>3158038
You can reclaim shards after they are cut via the scream. It's more of like peeling an apple before you eat it, not necessary but changes the experience.
>>
>>3158068
I know already, but it's good to get confirmation.
>like peeling an apple
So it removes some sort of "barrier" comparable to the skin of an apple? Does that have any mechanistic effects or is it for show? Interesting questions you've raised, Meddles.
>>
>>3158052
Not to mention it's clearly giving something a way to find us and I'd rather not give it more hints. Screaming should be for extreme emergencies....or if we can hit a ton of capes at once I guess.
>>
>>3158127

Well with screaming we unlocked the dream sequence where we did meet Abbadad and we got our new upgrade from it.

That and even if the screaming alerts Abbadad, we still don't entirely know what it would bring. Of course Zion would try murdering him, but what Abbadad would actually do on arrival is unknown. If he's presumably fixing the shards sent to him from reclaimation, if he comes would he just send those shards out to the people? Would the shards be given to us? What effects would these Abbadad shards have on other people?

It's too soon to know the full picture, so when we do scream and have our dream sequence from it. Shouldn't we try and find a way to get learn more about what else the shard we have from Abbadad himself? To try and converse? Father-Son bonding

Communication never hurt anyone, why would it hurt something that desires companionship?
>>
>>3159207
I'm just saying, maybe at least build up Famine with a few more upgrades before we call out to a mysterious being with our screaming. I'm not sure if I want to gun for the thorns upgrade to mesh with our phasing to give us more capability as a hunter/stalker ambushing enemies, or take the physical boosts since our primary role in the group is to be the merchants big stick/enforcer since we're the only real heavy hitter in the group.
>>
>>3159559

And I was saying that if the scream is what brought the dream sequence which we seen Abbadad and got upgraded. Maybe the Notice is an indicator for upgrading?

And the upgrades we did get were our very first, so we have the potential for more than what we were seen there.

Still a lot that we don't know about how this shard works specifically. May be best to learn more on it before we limit it in a way, right?

After walking around the bustling freighter, you see the many working men and women of the Merchants. A few nod when you walk past, most give you a shout "Hey Famine!!" "What's good man?" "What do ya think of the new place mate?"

A large clang from above sounds out, and yelling in terror begins. One of the hoisting cables for the welded pieces of stock steel snapped; and it begins to fall towards a man on the ground. In the matter of an instant you surge forward, shadow-shifting through the clutter of people and boxes in your way.

Throwing up a hand, you catch the car sized slab of steel on the flat of your palm. The man below you sprawled looks up at you in awe. "Famine, man. You saved my life brother."

You throw the slab off to the side as a crew begins helping the man to his feet, and securing the crane once again. Then the clapping and chanting begins.

"-amine, famine, Famine, Famine! FAMINE, FAMINE!" You wheel around, looking into the crowd all around you; the only thing you see is trust, acceptance, and gratitude.

You give Skidmark your answer. He was very pleased.

"Famine, I know you can handle this. I'll be back before you know it." He disappears into the bridge, and begins to pack bags. He gives some closing orders to Red, Squealer, and Mush; using his power he skirts along the ground back to the parking lot. He disappears into the corpses of the former vessels on a a shining purple trail.

The morning comes all too quickly. You awake to the sound of Squealer smashing her fist against the metal wall of where your bedding is placed.

"Come-on you big lug, we got fucking work to do." You shake your head to clear away the grogginess of the night. Rising from the comfort of your blankets you follow behind her.

"Skidmark left a list of shit to get done. Read it, know it, and make sure you do it." She passes you a list on a clip board that you cradle in between your claws.

>FAMINE'S TASKS
>I trust you man...

>Hold the Freighter above all else.

You walk alongside Squealer as you quickly read the document.

"Now we've got an itinerary to deal with. This morning we've got to patch the holes in the fucking ship, get some proper power going, and set up the fresh water and beds. We've also got a deal that needs some direct oversight. I'm going to be onsite all day, but you can go oversee the deal, or send Mush; or visa versa. Don't fucking matter. You help Ricky load a few crate into the back of the van, using your claws like the forks of a forklift. The veteran members are calm, cool, and collected. They say little as Ricky briefs you all on what's going on at the deal.

"Aight, m'kay. We going up to one of the docks where the ABB are bringing in cargo, smugglin and shit baby. Some of their boys are gonna be waiting outside to show us in. We back the van inside. They give the money, we give the drugs. All good, ya' dig."

One of the veterans spits and shakes his head "We doing the good ol' open Merchant, hidden Merchant thing yeah?"

Ricky sucks air through his teeth. "Man you know it. They working for Lung, I don't trust then anymore than I trust their dope. Hence why they coming to us."

The 10 men you chose to bring along nod, and make their way to to 2 cars. It's a tight fit, but it seems they do not mind.

Ricky begins the short drive to the spot, the gravel tracks of the Boat Graveyard jostles you back and for. You pull up to a small warehouse with a short pier where a small speedboat is hitched. Waiting outside are 3 Asian men wearing green and red headbands. Ricky pulls the van up to the lot.

"Hey James, what's good baby?" He says peeking his head out the window.

The man in the middle with a pompadour speaks up "Goddamn it Ricky, I thought I told you it was Hidora now."

"I'm just fucking with you baby, hey my man Famine is gonna step out the back, Skids sent him to keep an eye on this shit along with our five boys in the sedan. You know how it is."

Hidora cocks his head at an angle as you emerge from the back of the van. "Holy shit, you brought the fucking Nazi-slayer here man, we was expect Mush or something." He says stepping back.

"Hey, hey, hey man... It's all good. You know me. We got the good shit baby, we take care of our clients." Says Ricky holding his hands up.

Hidora spits "Man, just move the van inside." The 2 other ABB members go to unlock and open the bay door. Ricky pulls it inside.

The interior of the building is bare. A purely empty room, with nothing but large racks of fluorescent lights to illuminate the spare warehouse. Hidora brings out a duffel bag and throws it across the floor to Ricky.

Ricky unzips it, does a quick peek... and his head shoots up in an instant.

"Hidora.... baby. What'chu doin' man?"

"What do you mean Ricky?"

"This ain't a game James. This is only enough for the hash. Let alone the smack. I like you man, we used to roll together, but I can't let you fuck me like this baby."

The veterans in the back seem to be getting agitated. "The fuck you think you doing zipper-head, you don't fuck with the Merchants. Where's the money?"

You see the scene unfolding before you, and seize control of the situation. Straightening your back, you tower over all in the empty building. You rake your claws across the concrete in a flash, ripping deep furrows and sending bits flying.

"Holy shit!" Cries out Hidora.

As if Ricky himself was speaking from your throat, you say "This is only enough for the hash. Let alone the smack." You return back to your deep rasp "If that is all you have, then you can leave with the hash, and if you apologize I won't take my pound of flesh for wasting our time. If you have the rest of the money on hand, we can make this a happy little deal. Now do you have the money."

Hidora looks very uncomfortable. He turns to the man to his left "Ōatari no nokori o te ni ireru tame ni iki nasai, wareware ga Rikkī no hayai mono o hiku koto ga dekinakatta to itta." He turns back to you. "We'll take it all, we are sorry about this small miscommunication." You lower yourself back into your slumped posture and nod.

The man on the left walks off into a small office near the front of the warehouse, and brings out a larger duffel. He approaches and places it in the hands of Ricky.

Looking at Ricky, you see he has a wide grin as he unzips this one. He makes a quick nod, and lets out a quick laugh.

"Pleasure doing business with y'all. Glad all that unpleasantness is in the past baby. Come on guys, let's give these fine gentlemen their goods." At that, the many veterans open the back of the van, and begin to unload the product while you stand watching.

Everyone quickly piles into their respective vehicles. Ricky begins to talk your ears off as soon as you are inside. "Goddamn Famine! That Shit Was The Bomb! You went all Godfather on they asses baby. If Mush was here, we've would've just killed 'em or dipped. Now we got a customer that knows full well, you don't fuck with the Merchants!" Getting a count of the larger crafts, you return to the ground and re-emerge to the material. Stalking along one of the paths you saw from above, you leap atop on of the ship-corpses. Sinking your claws into a large empty shipping container, you sling it to the ground creating a roadblock for the main path leading to the Merchant's new home.

Going along, popping into several of the deteriorated cargo ships to sight them out for future expansion. Much like a woodcutter marking trees, you strike your claws across them; leaving great rents in the Merchant's signature symbol.

Running along the paths, as free as a horse at pasture, you repeat the process of blocking off crucial areas that would allow any other force to sweep in. All except one.

Making a quick sweep east, you begin to find some ABB tags on the some ships.

You make a turn, an begin to float through the sky, a massive cloud of hunger.

You see something down below, a small group of 5 men at the beginning of one of the roads you blocked off.

Fly close and get eyes on them. There is no need to let the world know about our new Stranger powers. Being an exponential cape would put some fear in people and we should save it as a hidden trump card.

Coming down to the ground, you mold through the destroyed ships, and sneak around to a vantage point. Once you get to where you can see the people in clarity, you are almost shocked at what is before you.

A strange man in tattered clothing, dripping black i̴̛̛̯̗͍͕͇͇̒̏̊͆͌́́̂c̸̛̮̥͈̗̮͔̈́̋̇̀̃̀h͉̻̻̬̗̫̿̓̂͛̃̈́̕͢͞o̡͍̙͖̟̍͌͐̈͋̈͜r̴̨̬̞͖̠͍̗̂̍̈̔́̌̿͟͝ walks down the main path. He reaches out an arm to touch a small sail boat laying in the graveyard. At first his arm touches it, then a creeping blackness spreads across it.

The ship rusts at the point of contact, and then collapses into powder. His foot steps leave pitch black burn marks in the gravel.

He releases a sob looking at his hand, dripping with some foul smelling goop. He turns to his compatriots.

Because of you four I'm stuck like this, and they're dead!"

He collapses to the ground and continues to sob. The strange shadow beings recoil at first, and then slowly begin to approach. They all join around him in a what seems to be a hug.

You take a deep sniff through your nostrils, and through the scent of rot it hits you; .

>Approach

You clamber out of your hiding spot, and begin to approach the crying man and his C̟͇͔͕̥̣̰͌̽͑̏̑Ȍ̤̪̬̭̣̈́̽̈́̋̈́̄͝ͅṊ̛̙͕̝͎̫̖̘̍̀̐̌͌͘͜͞S͎͚̭̫̣̟̖̈͒́͆̀̉̿T̼̮̩̘̯̦͎͖̤͌̓̀͂̋̇̒̇͠͠R̴͍̳͉̰͖̥̻̱̘͂́͛͆̀͝Ư̢̱͙̭͕̎̏̇͌̈́Č̞̰̺͎̻̯̔̓́̈́́͋̃̆Ṫ̨̳͕̫͙̻̜̠͒͑̓͢͠S̵̯͖͙̹̖͔͈̺͆̃̒͌̃͟. The shadow-like beings notice your approach first, and break their circle around the man. The splay their arms wide in what seems to be an attempt to make themselves larger.

The man looks up from his sorrow, and sees your form standing about 20 feet away. At first he flinches in shock. He lets out a chuckle as he addresses you.

"So are you going to kill me?" He asks.

"That depends, you are trespassing on Merchant territory, but you seem to be at a crossroads of some sorts. Care to explain what's up?"

He lays his head in his hands for a short while. Lifting it up he says. "I triggered I guess about... 3 days ago. I thought it was all good you know... One bad day in return for the ability to melt through things and summon some friends, it seemed all okay. " He lets out a shuddering breath. "Then it all went wrong... I had them watch over my wife and kids, protect them you know? We owed some serious money to some bad men. They came to the house... I didn't have enough, I tried to make more... I-I think I strained my power or something, I made the 4th one, and I can't change back. I'm can't touch anything. I had to cradle her in my arms as she slowly bled out, and slowly rotted away." He falls back into sobbing incoherently.
