/qst/ - Quests

Welcome everyone to my game once again! I am not dead, but have taken a week to figure the plot of this damnedable Quest, and I think I have succeeded!

Quick Summary: Rictor has taken 3 weeks to prepare for the war, creating a defendable base, summoning his Servant, and creating a small army of puppets. With all this, he realized that he might be lacking in fire power, so hes going to the capital of Romania to get some old soviet arms from the mafia.

Rules:
>I have final say in shit.

>We will be rolling with a 1d20 for actions. From this, it will be best of three on non-combat scenarios. In combat, the first three will decided the outcome of the “Rounds”, think of them like attack rolls. Presidendency on rolls are Crits, Doubles, highest for best of three.

>I aim to have updates fast since I will only host for a day or two a week, so expect maybe 15-20 min between them, especially in combat.

>Combat will be written to consist of “3 rounds” based on the tactic chosen. You guys will understand once I start writing them. Might change based on how active thread is, since we could also do top voted action of three.

>There will be times I ask for an amount of actions that does not follow the three. Assume the highest rated actions will be chosen unless it conflicts with rule 4.

>I expect to see some great recommendations and write-ins, so if something's very smart or funny, I will host a 5-10 min revote.

Cool lets rock.

The first night of the Great Grail War has come and passed. Rictor, realizing he wants something more deadly for himself finished calling his old friend, Vladimir of Russia.

Off to the corner of his eye, Rictor could see a puff of banana colored hair finishing her gallon of ice-cream. His Servant, Ibaraki, looked at him with a tempered look with a smug of ice-cream on her face, "Its about time you got off the phone. I am bored, and a bored Oni is something you don't want to have Rictor!"

Rictor only gave her a smile, "I have just gotten off the phone with a good friend. I thought we needed something more, so I'm having him get something from Russia. I needed to head over to pick it up from Bucharest though."

A feral smile crept on the Berserker's face, "Oh, kukuku, you are talking about those human weapons. I wouldn't mind pillaging some of those."

What do you want to bring with you?
>>
>>3121859
I imagine some crows are all we need
>>
>>3121859
I mean....is this a write-in update or are you going to give us a list? Just so we know what we're doing here.
>>
Whether you recognize this trip or not, or who I am, I wanted to drop in and give you some important advice:

First: Link your archive in the OP. You have a pretty solid OP trawl, but it's missing that.
Second: Find a consistent OP image. It's useful for a variety of reasons. Fate/Nasuverse has a lot of handy graphics for this, a common image involves Command Seals.

This all comes with a grain of salt. You and your anons seem to be having fun, I just wanted to help you keep on having fun. If you haven't archived your quest yet, look up "suptg archive" on google, and follow the instructions carefully. We wouldn't want old threads to dissapear on you.
>>
>>3121915
Also, always give prompts with >. No, I don't care about your 'writing style', they are there for reasons such as ending your post, demonstrating the expectations for your player posts, setting the tone, and generally helping smooth player interaction.
Read some other quests. You'll see what I mean.
Aight, EGO out.
>>
>>3121896
>Enter what you want to bring, which is basically puppets.

assume at this point you have stolen a car. I mean, why would you have not yet.
>>
>>3121859

Oh and our lucky Needle.

Oh, then just some Crows, and maybe two of the Human Puppets to act as the normal kind of servants, but nothing else.
>>
>>3121915
Im trying to save the thread but I'm confused. I understand the manual part, though DownThemAll is gone for some reason, but my requests are not going through on the form.

So I'm going to rule that as Double 19s, good for yall.

Rictor started to drive down the road, going through the country side. The two were now in transit with 2 Oni-puppets and a couple of Crows. Right now Rictor was kicking for not stock piling on this weapons beforehand, but the magi who raided his last compound didn't think that.

As they were driving, he noticed a small blue truck coming towards them. Being a Dead Apostle, he could see the truck approaching. The truck stank of magic and holiness that even a new Apostle like him could tell.

His eyes could see a Blond girl, no older than 20 riding on the back. The stank as like a Servant, but much more powerful.

He could hear a laughter from his side as Ibaraki was smiling like a demon, "Kuahaha! I can fell it coming. This must be Ruler! Oh she would defiantly quench an Oni's boredom!"

Rictor, trying to keep himself from being seen, tries his best to keep Ibaraki down, who is currently trying her best to jump out the window.

Across the ways, Jeanne was talking to the old man who helped her get this far, "Thank you for driving me, I'm so sorry your truck broke down."

The man simply gave him a jolly laugh, "Haha, I should be apologizing myself Missy. It seems my Ol' Faithful croaked her last breath."

With a look of sorrow for the truck, Jeanne looked down the road. Doing so, she noticed another car coming up, "Well sir, the least I can do is get you some help." She moved to the other side of the road to flag them down.

Rictor was currently fighting with Ibaraki. Even as a Dead Apostle, he was defiantly no match for a Servant.

"Let me go Master, I wanna pillage her!" She screamed, trying her best to break from the dozens of strings Rictor attempted to use.

Not paying attention to the road, BAM!

Rictor and Ibaraki watched with eyes as large as saucers as they watched Ruler sailing through the air like a rag doll.

You see this vehicle was infact something of a working project of Rictors. He knew Magi wouldn't be using vehicles so something like a tough car that could take bullets and magic was perfect for an Apostle on the run. It was Reinforced over an entire week and maybe could have taken a hit from a normal Servant.

They however just hit Ruler going about 70 MPH.

As they watched and realized they hit the strongest Servant in the war, they were currently flying through the air in a barrel roll.

They sailed through the air, rolling across the ground as the vehicle slowly but surely took damage. The puppets from the ride seemed almost brutalized from the rulling, but they are still functionable. Even a few shards of glass stab into Rictor as the windshield goes out.

>Rictor takes 27 damage

As an Apostle, you do not lose your mind for a second. As you end up with your roof on the ground, you look over to see Ibaraki throwing up.

Kicking out the door, Rictor runs outside of the vehicle in a panic. Hitting Ruler of all Servants was bad and he needed to make sure Berserker was safe.

He gripped the side of the car, trying his best to lift the car from the ditch they landed in. It barely budged under his monstrous strength through, so he ran to the other side and yoinked Ibaraki from the passenger side.

Ibaraki was covered in vomited ice-cream, looking like she failed to fight a raccoon from the amount of scratches she had. After she finally got up right, she tried to speak, "Oni don't throw up" before another was released.

As Rictor is patting her back in a failing attempt to make her feel better, he looks over to his left side. Laying on the dirt is a moderately sized girl with hair as long as her body and stank of holy might, Ruler.

Getting up in an instant, she looks over at the wreckage without noticing him and runs over. Outside dangling from the car are the puppets he put in the back seat. They look extremely mangled and non-human, but Ruler seems to mistaken them as humans. As she approaches, the car catches on fire.

As Rictor sees the car about to blow, he decides to yell at Ruler as he starts to drag Ibaraki, "THEY ARE PUPPETS, RUN!"

Luckily, she turns her head to Rictor and then to the puppets, taking a step back before bolting from the car. As she runs, she tries to pick up both Rictor and Ibaraki but ends up dragging Ibaraki with Rictor (Rolled a 3).

As they finally make it to the road, a sudden quake shakes the earth. All the magic in the Puppets along with the car seemed to have made a crater in the earth.

Taking a moment to calm himself, Rictor stands up and starts to remove the shrapnel from his body without car (Hes fully healed. Apostle bullshit). Looking over, the old man from the truck seems to be running over as Ruler seems to be taking a moment's breather.

He looks at Ibaraki as she starts getting up from the trench they made with her head.

Rictor looked over the remains of his car, all in peices as the puppets fell from the sky like corpses. "Well fuck. That hasn't happened since my joy ride in WW2" Taking a breather, he looks over at Ibaraki whos just nursing her head from the dragging you and Ruler placed her through.

Speaking of Ruler, he gets himself up and walks over the bane of his existance, reaching out his hand, "It is nice to meet you Ruler, I am Rictor Melston. And us, sorry about hitting you..."

She looks at him with a shining smile of relief, "Thanks for calling out to me, I'm..." Her words start to drag out as she stares at his eyes, which are currently red as blood, "An Apostle..."

Rictor looked at the Ruler, sighing as he scratched his head, "Yes, I am Rictor Melston, Puppeteering Dead Apostle and Master of Berserker." He tried to emphisis his hand to her. There was a chance she would cut him on sight, right now he needed to distract her.

Joan blinked for a few moments before extending her own hand almost mechanically. She adopted a stone face like she was a machine making her lose the last bit of shine from earlier, "I am Joan D'Arc, Ruler class Servant."

After shaking hands, she looks him up and down for a moment, "Hmm, I assume you didn't attempt to kill me as a Master would have known better. You should keep your eyes on the road."

She turns around and starts to walk away from Rictor, Ibaraki finally regaining some of her senses. He notices shes approaching the man, turing him towards a truck thats currently smoking, but not as much as his.

Now that he has lost a vehicle, it is questionable that he can make it to the deal and back without daylight breaking. This would force him to stay in Bucharest for an extra day to stay away from the sun.

Rictor, weighing his options, decides that the nights lost. He gets up and heads to the truck followed by Ibaraki munchin on a piece of puppet (He adds animal flesh for better animation)

As he approaches, Ruler steps in his way, "If you are going to do something to this man-"

As quickly as she accuses him, Rictor raises his hand, "We are stuck here in the middle of a valley with no way to go. I've lost the night already and I might as well do something." He reaches down and picks up a couple of puppet fragments, "I've been on this earth long enough to fix a simple car. If you allow me, we can probably leave in a half hour."

She stares at him for a moment until relaxing her shoulders, "Fine. Fix his car so we can leave."

With Ibaraki now running around pillaging the peices of puppet and Joan talking to the truck owner, Rictor began his work.

It was soothing for him. After such a number of failures, he finally gets to work on something he won't fail in. He starts with clearing the engine and removing parts to make room for blah, blah blah.

As he was working, a sudden swoosh went by him. Being too into his work, it was only when he could get the engine started that he noticed the fight happening off to the side.

As Rictor starts his work, Ruler starts to pick up the puppet parts. While a little disgusted, she notices a small ligth over the horizen, which seems to grow brighter and brighter as it approaches. Realizing its an attack, she summons her flagstaff and attempts to block the projectile. The moment she gets hit though she is sent flying towards the mountain.

Noticing the sudden fight, Ibaraki gets up from the meal with a feral look about her, quickly batted away from the attacker.

The attacker goes for another burst of power rushes the Ruler, trying another attempt at impalement. Seeing the attack coming, she dodges off to the side and attempts to smake him with the flag pole, only for it to bounce off of him.

The Attacker attempts another attack, this time Ruler defending against the attack as she skillfully parried with a flag pole. Taking a moment to back away, she looks at him for a moment, "Lancer of Red, Karna. Why are you attacking me, the Ruler class Servant of this war!"

He readies his spear for another onslaught, "I am simply acting on my master's orders, Ruler. I bear you no ill will" With another gust of flames, he attacks Ruler.

As he is about to strike though, he is caught offguard as a raging Oni slices his back, sending him flying towards the ground as his armor is pierced, "YOU BASTARD! HOW DARE YOU HIT AN ONI WHILE SHES EATING!"

About now is when Rictor finishes his job, feeling Ibaraki drain on his reserves (50Mp). He notices the Servants fighting and the Old man on the ground trying to inch himself away.

>What does he do? At this point, welcome to combat. Go for a tactic or help your servant out. You can do many things and I hope you do well.

'Ibaraki, go wild.'

Rictor watches as Ibaraki smiles larger than any other time the two of them have been together. The drain finally touches his reserves as she roars, “FOR RUINING MY SNACK, KARNA, PREPARE TO BE PILLAGE BY THE ONI!” She roars a mighty roar as she runs up to Karna, smashing his head in with a mighty swing. With his own abilities, he could hear the bones of Karna crack just from that single hit.
Trusting his Servant, Rictor looked at the man crawling on the ground. Activating his eyes of enchantment, he ordered the man to flee as far as he can.
Looking back at the fight, Rictor watched as Karna attempted a rebuttle attack, slicing at her and slightly injuring her wrist. She smilled with a sadistic glee as she attempted another attack, slicing him so hard her blade truly pierced the unpierceable armor.
Rictor watched as a chunk of his side was ripped from his body. While he was in mid air, Ibaraki summoned a pair of fieri wings and charged at him. Before she could make it though, Karna disappeared in the night in a flash of red. Someone used a Command Seal to teleport him to freedom.

Rictor could hear Ibaraki shout at the non-existent Servant as he had a sudden sigh of relief. To think the literal embodiment of the sun was in this war, Ibaraki successfully defeated him.

Of course this meant they were going to make an ice-cream run after this.

Turning over to his right, he noticed Joan approaching him. She stood a ways away and spoke in an announcer voice, "Congratulations Master of Berserker, you have won the first battle of the Great Holy grail War."

Rictor gave a simple nod, "Yes, shes have taken care of a grave issue. Well, I fixed the Truck, so we should be able to leave-"

Looking over at the side, there is no more truck. Rictor watched as the truck slowly went over the horizen, regretting that he commanded the man to 'flee as far as possible'. He should have asked him to leave the truck.

>Well, what will Rictor do now? He lost the truck and is stranded.

>Ask Ruler to walk with them

>Not ask Ruler to walk with them

>>
Honestly, while I know it won't ever happen because of what we and Ibaraki are, but the idea of us befriending the Saint of Orleans is fucking hysterical.
>>
>>3123374
If the Homculai-Sieg can turn into a (Bad)Dragon and have her pine after his dick, then our friendship is possible.
>>
"Well, my apologies about losing the truck. I told him to flee and forgot to tell him to leave the truck. Since you are stuck walking too, how about we walk together?"

Joan looks at him for a moment, a stone cold face that seemed to give under a weight, "I do owe your Servant for saving my life. It would also be better to walk together in case another Servant comes to attack us. Sure, I am willing. We will part ways at Trifas though."

Rictor could only smile, "Thats fine. I need to buy Ibaraki some treats before the sun rises anyways"

He sent a mental command to Ibaraki that hes going to award her with candy, with the response, "Yes, you should give powerful Oni tribute afterall."

They started their journey towards Trifas, now if only Rictor break the ice with Joan it would get less boring.

So Ruler, if you don't mind me asking, what was it like to hear the voice of God as a simple mortal woman? While your holy presence disturbs me I can't help but be fascinated about the story of your path to Sainthood?

Ask her about her life, talk about ours (with leaving out the cruel stuff that might have happened), get her to talk about the Sacred Art of Artillery Warfare.
Fun thing to think about, the actual Joan of Arc may have had some big expertise with using cannons than most of the other leaders of France when she was alive.

As the two begin your walk (Ibaraki is still yelling at where Lancer Disappeared), its been a little quite. Noticing the akwardness, Rictor decided to break the ice, "Well, since Berserker saved your life, I want to know something."

Joan looks at him with that stone cold face, "I will answer within reason. I am the Ruler class of this Holy Grail War."

Rictor simply gives a nod before asking, "I know Karna is a powerful demi-god. His Armor should make him invincible and something yet in his legend, he loses it. While Ibaraki defeated him, my enemy knows the extent of her strength, which is a disadvantage considering their target was you. So I ask, what happens when he loses his armor like in the legend?"

She looks at Rictor with those stone cold eyes, before they give him a look of failue, "When Karna loses his armor, he is able to use his Secret Noble Phantasm, Brahmastra Kundala. It is a devastating attack that can tear through a nation and kill False Gods. If you face him again, I suggest your Servant use her own Phantasm to kill him right away."

My vote to faith because it would be interesting.

They walked down the road into a forest o trees. It wasn't the best place to be, but atleast Ibaraki finished yelling at Karna and started running back.

As they walked, there has been something bothering, "You know Joan, to be so young and yet god himself calls you to duty. I was around 40 when I was turned by a Dead Apostal, and I only went to war to keep myself fed. Why would someone of 16 years do something a 60 year old vampire would consider when he was starving?"

She looked at him for a moment, the stone face gone. It was surprise, then disgust, but finally acceptance, "I wasn't called by God to serve. No, all I heard was the crying of Angels." She looked at him with soft eyes, something that should belong to the face of a maiden, "When I heard them, I couldn't believe it at first. For God's servants to cry to be heard by a mortal like me. I think if anyone heard it they would have done the same thing I did. Maybe God chose me to fight for my country and save humanity. I might just been the one who heard them though"

"Oh," He realized the subject was a little touchy, but he was curious, "So what do you think of Dead Apostles. My kind preys on humans and kills them by the dozen if left to our own devices."

"She looked at him with a sad look, but strengthened herself, "All creatures were made by God. Even other Gods are but his own doing. He created your kind and turned you for a purpose, for which I am ignorant of. You feast on humans only because it is your nature. I only ask that you refrain from killing the innocent during this war, as one of my duties as Ruler"

Rictor, looking back at a Ibaraki that was catching up said, "I might be able to manage myself and my Servant."

She simply gave him a smile, "Thank you."

They made their way out of the forest, Trifas appearing on the Horizon.

Consider getting a tripcode
>>
>>3124187
Tripcode?
>>
>>3124206
>How do I use a "tripcode"?
>Tripcodes can help verify a user's identity to others, and are a type of pseudo-registration. To use a normal tripcode, place a hash mark ("#") followed by a word or short phrase after what you've entered into the [Name] field (ex. "User#password"). Upon submission, the server will generate the hash unique to that particular word or phrase. The previous example would display "User !ozOtJW9BFA" after being posted.

>Important note: A tripcode is generated only using the text entered after the hash mark. Your entered name, IP address, cookie information, etc. do not affect the output. Normal tripcodes are not secure, and can be cracked with relative ease. For a more secure solution, see secure tripcodes.

>What is a "secure tripcode"?
>A secure tripcode can be generated by placing two hash marks in the [Name] field, as opposed to one as with a normal tripcode (ex. "User##password"). Secure tripcodes use a secret key file on the server to help obscure their password. The previous example would display "User !!rEkSWzi2+mz" after being posted.

Quick summery: Going out to get some weapons form the Mafia, our duo ended up running over Ruler as she tried to flag them. After a shaky few moments, Ruler was attacked by Karna. Ibaraki gravely injured him however, forcing a retreat. NOw on moderate terms with Ruler, they return to Trifas because they cant make it to the Mafia deal before the sun came up.

_______________________

Rictor walked with Joan for a few more mile, Ibaraki now caught up with them. Now they stood outside the walls of Trifas, looking in to see a town that seemed devoid of life and activity.

Rictor faced Joan with a smile on his face, "I believe this is where we depart, Ruler. I want to ask one thing though, what is your favorite food?"

Joan looked at him with a face of question, far from the stone cold gaze she had when they first met, "My favorite food, why would you want to know that?"

Rictor simply smiled at the question, a genuine one that belongs to an old entertainer, "If we ever meet under more favorable terms, I wish to treat you to something well. I have had a few centuries of experience in food, so I might be able to bake something before we meet again."

She gave him a smile, like one a friend would give to another, "I enjoy a simple bread with butter on it. In my time, it was a delicacy for a peasant girl like me to get a hold of such a thing. We would celebrate the nights my family managed to get some."

Rictor gave her a frown, "Well that is not much to work with. Though, I might be able to do something with that, I will see. Good bye then and safe travels."

She started to walk off into the city with a smile on her face, "Thank you for helping me today, Rictor. I pray you will see this war through."

As Ruler walked off, Rictor thought about what he should do.

Rictor looked at Ibaraki with a grand smile, one that almost seemed to scare Ibaraki, "Ahahah! Well Ibaraki, for defeating Karna of all people I owe you something, what do you want to eat!"

While put off for a moment, Ibaraki soon gave him a smile of joy, "Yes, you promised an Oni tribute! A powerful Oni must receive a heft tribute as her prize!" She gave a questioning face for a moment mumbling foods until she blurted, "Your tribute to the Oni will be a mountain of Chocolate Icecream!"

"Then lets see if a stores still open."

They wondered the streets of Trifas, looking for any sign of a store. Most of the icecream that Rictor collected was from the capital, but now that their ride is gone that was out of the question.

The place seemed dead though, not a store in sight as they wondered the streets. It reminded Rictor of when war struck a city and the citizens would hide, but this seemed weirder. There was not a single person even among the shadows or bodies littering the ground. Even when his fellow Apostles tear a city a new one, there are usually stragglers picking up gold necklaces.

It was then that the smell of magic hit his nose. It was a scent similar to Joan, but not holy at all. There was also the smell of fresh blood, enough to satisfy him for months at least. There must be a battle. Ibaraki has not noticed thanks to her raiding dumpsters, an 'Old Oni Habit'.

Smelling the signs of battle, Rictor quickly gave a notice to Ibaraki, 'I can smell some blood and mana, it seems a Servant is fighting somthing right now. Should we stalk them?"

Ibaraki only gave a subtle laugh, "Kukuku, this is the greatest tribute of all. Yes, Oni are good at ambushes"

They take a leap onto the roofs the could see the light show that was a Saber in galvanized grey armor. In quick slices she destroyed large golems and wasted the nearby human-like creatures. Near by was a man in bikers attire firing shot after shot, destroying the assumed humonculi.

It was unusual seeing the Oni this tempered. To Rictor, he thought she would have gone out to kill her already, but it seems the stories of Oni laying ambushes might have been her specialty instead of Shitun's.

They hanged out there for a moment, watching them slaughter the humonculi. The forces are about half way done and they are making quick work of them.

As the two watch the knights laughter seems to escalate with more and more joy, completely unaware of being watched. She was attacking them indiscriminately, slicing and dicing them with every swing. Trying his best not to make a fangy smile, he walked his way over ignoring the shotgun being reloaded, "Hello there, fellow mage. Before you shoot me, I believe we could have a productive relationship."

Mordred finally got her senses together with a "What the-" But the man spoke before his Servant could react, "Well shit. You must be the Master of Berserker. Your not Feend though, are you Dead Apostle?"

Rictor gave him a forwning face, "No I am not, I killed him weeks before the war even started."

A 'shit' could be heard with the biker's response, "Now you don't expect me to go with a guy who killed one of my allies."

Rictor was about to damn himself before Ibaraki beat him to the response, "So my master was going to be a weak human. Ha! I would have killed him myself." She laughed at herself for a moment, "Kuhuhu, we are here to trade information human and Rictor still owes me tribute."

Rictor just gave a sigh, "Its about morning now, I bet there some place for breakfast somewhere. I've got information you want, mage."

The Magi looked over at his Servant, who was now in a prepared stance. She seemed concentrated at the moment until she moved her sword to the side, "My Master is willing to meet with you, Vampire. Keep in mind though, if you try and enchant him, I will not hesitate to cut you down."

Rictor though to himself for a moment, suddenly remembering a bed and breakfast he saw in an advertisement when he came to Romania.

They followed the winding streets, shooting down a few birds that seemed strangely amendment about following them. They finally made their way to a moderate sized place, the lights seemingly the only thing lighting the streets.

They entered, a person coming from the back to greet them in the slavic tounge with an oddly cheerful mood, "Welcome travelers. Do you need a bed or a table?"

Ibaraki was the one to reply, not wanting to wait for food and asked for a table for 4.

"Well Berserker, order what you want. This counts as your tribute." A smile appeared on her face as she named almost everything on the menue, the waitress writing it all down with the weird elated expression the man had earlier. Just to be sure, Rictor's eyes flashed as he ordered some Blood Sausage and Eggs, something to keep down the hunger till a more proper feeding time.

The other two ordered, the mage getting some aeggs while his Servant ordered a near similar amount of food. Rictor could almost see sparks of competition as the two realized the other's habits.

When the wait for food began, Rictor opened the conversation, "My name is Rictor Melston, a puppeteer, Dead Apostle, and Master to Berserker."

The mage looked a litle shaky, but responded in honesty, "Well, I'm Kairi Susigo and hes Saber of Red. So, your the guy that took out Feend vor Sembren I take it?"

"Yes, the man didn't bother to cover his hands with a glove. Did you by chance know him?" It was blatant that Rictor didn't care about his kill.

Kairi also didn't mind with, "I can't say I know much more than his Clock Tower Portfolio. He was good at his job, but I guess he didn't think an Apostle was gunning to get in the war." He gave a serious stare under his shades, "So, you said you have some dirt on the others?"

Rictor laid back into his chair, relaxing in knowning he finally drew in the mage, "Yeah, I met with Ruler on my out of town and then with Lancer of Red as he attacked her."

Kairi's eyes lit up as Mordred came into the conversation, "Isn't Ruler suppose to be neutral and powered by the grail? Who's dumb enough to fight a meaningless fight?"

"I couldn't tell you. All I know is his true name and his secret phantasm."

Kairi's eyes narrowed at Rictor, "So since you know I am part of Red, why are you bothering talking to me."

Ibaraki simply laughed at the comment, "Kuhaha, Because you didn't run away with your tail between your legs like he did!"

Kairi's eyes narrowed at the laughing Oni, but Rictor decided to recover, "His name is Karna, the Indonesian Demi-God said to wear impenetrable armor."

The color from Kairi's face seemed to drain as he heard the description, "Shit."

Mordred however seemed unphased by the name, simply smiling as she spoke, "So, whats this 'Secret Phantasm'? I'm dying to know."

"Brahmastra Kundala. From what Ruler described, its some form of Final Attack once eh takes off his armor. Sounds like about the strength of a nuclear bomb to me."

The look on Kairi's face seemed to melt even further as the food arrived, the waitress not minding their talk.

>Continue or is there something else you wanna talk about?

I also going for some supper, so I'll be back in like an hour I want to say.
>>
>>3128173
>Continue or is there something else you wanna talk about?
Talk about Guns, Cars and Magic. The usual things to get autistic about.
>>
>>3128173
>Something is clearly up with the some of the other red masters. I however, intend to participate in this war as intended as long as possible. If you ever get into contact with any of the other masters of red via any means and get any weird messages or orders let us know.
>>
>>3128173
So, I see you understand the gravity of the situation...or atleast you think you do. The truth is that Berserker was eating when Karna Attacked, and her Wrath proved sufficent to break The Unbreakable Armor, carve out of chunk of Lancer's chest, and force his master to recall him with a Command Spell. I was not idely boasting when I said that my Berserker is the strongest servent in this war, but even we could be overcome with the strength of numbers, so I would seek an alliance with you.

Our servants would loyally fight together, come to each others aid should the need arise, we would not betray or abandon each other until we were the only master servant pair left standing, and I would even be willing to introduce you to a contact of mine that happens to deal in weaponry, so long as you swear the same. With a Geies perhaps?
>>
>>3128207
>>3128173

>>

>>3128207

The Servants started to eat through their meals like it was a competition. Ibaraki was the first to start, tearing through it with the beastiality of the Oni she was. Mordred however attacked her meal with the verocity of a Dragon, tearing it into nothing as they both fought for meal supremesy.

The Masters however however did not do such a thing. Kairi's will was strained at the mention of the Demi-God Karna. Such a being would naturally be near impossible for even someone of even Mordred's stature to defeat, even if she thinks otherwise.

However, "So, I see you understand the gravity of the situation...or at least you think you do. The truth is that Berserker was eating when Karna attacked. Disrupting her meal, her wrath proved sufficient to break The Unbreakable Armor and carve out of chunk of Lancer's chest and force his master to recall him with a Command Spell. I am not idly boasting when I said that my Berserker is the strongest Servent in this war."

Rictor swears that he never even touched the man, but he looked like he was drained of his blood. However, he wass till able to speak, "So you guessed I'm not working with them because I didn't know your Servant defeated a world conquering Demi-God and almost mortally wounded him through his armor."

Rictor laughed a little under his breath, "Don't worry though, I'm not here to bully you to submission. That's just my credits as a proper ally for you, Master to Master. I want us to become allies, Kairi. I'm no fool, with enough Servants Ibaraki will be slain. With you however, we might be able to force the others into a stalemate with our combined might."

Kairi's face suddenly had a return to color. He looked over to his Servant, who was playfully laughing at the other who was begging for water as remnants of a ghost pepper was on the table.

"Very well. I guess my Servant doesn't really mind."

Rictor's face lit up in joy, "Then let us make a Geies. I pledge not to antagonize you, Kairi, in any way until we are the remaining two in this war."

Kairi simply lit himself a cigarette, "I pledge not to antagonize you, Rictor, in any way until we are the remaining two of this war."

After that, they finished the Geies as the two Servants finished their meals, Ibaraki failing to beat Mordred in the fight.

>Anything else or leave for home? The Sun will rise in an hour.

Rictor and Kairi traded magical fax numbers and went off their separate ways.

The finally made thier way back into his base, a new car in their possession. Someone removed the engine, but with the remaining puppet parts, Rictor was able to fix it right back.

It was an Eventful night. Most fighting in the wars were relegated to night, so they didn't need to bother with going out until tomorrow.

They are of moderate quality. easily recognized and with Rictors skill are quite valuable. With this, the next night sets in as Rictor and Ibaraki load up for another ride. Ibaraki wearing her seatbelt tightly this ride.

Their objective is Bucharest, capital of Romania.

Ok, thats it for tonight everyone. Don't know when I will resume, but I plan to at some point. In all likely hood it might be mid day tomorrow when I have the most time.

Watch if there is a new thread, I don't really know since this one is pretty long now.

Again, thanks for coming and if you have any criticism, tell me since I want to make this better and maybe set up for another one after this.

Good run OP, thanks for the run, did Ibaraki ask for a Shuten Doji Doll?
>>
>>3128586
Thanks for running QM.
Well outside of the hunger meter/blood reserves for our nature as a Dead Apostle. The only thing that I can think of crunchwise is showing what our defensive modifiers are in more detail since the Dungeons and Dragons system in general usually also had this to add emphasis to the differences between raw potential and trained skill. As it is any person can deploy an ability that has their reflex difficulty check over 25 and it can be spammed on us till final death. Of course I might be jumping the gun on this however since we never really gotten into combat with an actual flesh and blood human and not a servant so that's skewing my expectations a fair bit.
>>
>>3128620
Yeah, he's geared towards human combat. I just jacked his int because that's the magic mod. I would give an example, Kairi, but I'm keeping that close. Think of Rictor as a level 15 while Kairi is level 10 in DnD terms. The Servants are level 20 with massive stat boosts.
>>
>>3128634
That's understandable QM, I'm just trying to get past my struggling to comprehend the crunch as it is in the here and now.
Thank you for answering my post.

Ok, starting up once again! we will stick to this thread because its easy that way.

Quick Summery: After befriending Ruler, our dynamic duo come across Kairi and Mordred while they were fighting Humonculi. They convince them that they should fight together against a common enemy that is the Red and Black faction. Now they ready themselves for hopefully a proper trip to the capital.
>>
Through the day, the two prepare for traveling to Bucharest, Romania. About mid way through the day, a message is sent by Kairi with the following details.

>"I've gotten word that a Servant is rumored to be in Bucharest. I'm guessing it is Assassin of Black, but they seemed to kill magi indiscriminately. I'm going there to check the place out. Since you said we should work as a team, this is the kind of thing you meant. You up for some hunting?"

>"Yeah, I have some business over at Bucharest. We can try and meet up while I'm over there. I've also got some gifts for ya. -Rictor"

Rictor packed up the dolls of Mordred and Kairi along with a small army of puppets. While he wasn't able to pack all of them, he got about 5 Onis, a crow, a mole, and one of his Defenders.

After loading them, he and Ibaraki jumped into the car and went their way to Bucharest.

Hopping into the vehicle, the took a drive to Bucharest. This time around, they were lucky in that there was no Ruler running around on the road nor were any strange bird following them. They did however see a strange light come from the forest next door, but who cares about swamp gas anyways.

The drive takes about half an hour, arriving near the city of Bucharest. Being a place of both old and new, small skyscrapers could be seen, but they were outnumbered by the dozens upon dozens of stone architecture and the old wall that surrounded the city.

As they approached, the duo noticed the place seemingly deader than the last time Rictor came through. From a quick search, it seems the city is running crazy from the number of murders that have occured in the last few days. People are scared right now, which is a problem.

Rictor walked around for a bit, trying his best to find a stray. Sadly though, it seems people scared by a murderer on the lose prevents other killers from finding people to kill. Realizing hr couldn't sneak in a snack before the meeting, Rictor and Ibaraki went to the place his contact pointed out.

The two drove towards a warehouse of sorts, guards on the outside watching for people. As Rictor drove up, the men simply needed to see his eyes to let him pass. They seemed put off, but of course who wouldn't upon meeting their first Dead Apostle.

His vehicle drove into the warehouse, he could see a number of vans waiting. As he got closer, he could see the men were unloading a number of arms and weapons, much more than someone like Rictor requested.

>How should Rictor approach?

Opening the door, Rictor walked out with an amount of modesty that once would recognize from a man who lived for a few centuries followed by the chocolate munching Servant, "Hello Vladimir. my apologies for missing our last appointment. How's the business been?"

One of the men unloading looked up and gained a grand grin. He came in and gave Rictor a handshake, "The Business is doing well friend. I wouldn't worry about the tardiness, you have already done more for me and my family anyone else could have."

Rictor simply gave a fangy smile, "Of course. I am willling to do more today, as I'm a little hungry."

They approached the crates, men popping them open to see.

Rictor and Ibaraki watch as the man pulls out a number of weapons, "Here are the guns you requested Rictor. A couple of Kords, 5 Ks-32s, 10 Ots-38s, another two RG-6s, and a KSVK. All come with enough ammunition to arm a small squad, a few frags and claymores, and lastly out complimentary bottle of Vodka. Do you like?"

Rictor looked over the box, a smile adorning his face. From his time serving in the German and Russian forces, these weapons both killed a bunch of men even without him wielding them, "Thank you, Vladimir. I think these will do nicely."

The man gave a great chuckle, "Of course, though such a large shipment means big costs. I got you some extra because these people have been causing us problems.

Vladimir handed Rictor a small note, on it was of the location of a group called the Yggs, "These men have been raiding our stashes here in Romania. We were able to narrow them down to a small outpost a little west of here in the city of Deva. If you could, eliminate them that would be profitable."

With a flick of his fingers, Rictor attached tethers to the puppets, animating them (30MP). That was not the highest drain though as Ibaraki's muscles started to bulge in its form (100MP).

Seeing the strengthening enemy, Jack went in for a slice at Ibaraki, only getting into the skin as Ibaraki raised its Bone Sword, smashing into the Assassin. The Oni Puppets appraoched, attempting their best to attack the child, watching as she narrowly dodged each and every attack.

Spending this turn to enchant some gernades, Assassin attempted to run at Rictor, killing the Master of Berserker. She however underestimated Berserker's strength and was once again sliced by the bone sword in the back. She was still in flight however as she quickly attempted to jump over the coming puppet.

It swung at her, missing it's attack as she finally came face to face with Rictor.

"Die!" She screamed as the attack sliced into him dealing 21 damage to his arm.

She watched in horror as he chucked a gernade at her, causing her to fall back to dodge the attack. Waiting behind her was Ibaraki, who bashed her in the back.

Taking a breather, he looked at the Servant who was badly injured and cornered by Ibaraki. He himself was able to get behind a crate before the gernade went off.

>What does Rictor do?
>>
>>3130854
>>Order Ibaraki to finish off assassin and use your puppets to try and hem in Jack so she can't escape.
>>
>>3130857
>>Also chuck magical grenades when you can.

I love how, even though I have Auto Update on, I get alerts that other players posted, but not a update being dropped.

I mean, I don't try and run a monopoly on plans, your more then welcome to make your own plan or suggestions.

I like how the most spookiest thing she's witnessed so far is someone who doesn't die when they're "killed".
We truly are best combat buddy.

I mean, you guys have options. You could try and non-leather her, taking her captive and try to find the master.

Think outside the box, trust me I'm use to it.
>>
>>3130880
I think it's kind of a animalistic defensive reaction towards another predator in the vicinity.
Now if Jack gets the fuck out then yeah we'll probably chill out enough to follow and so on.
>>
>>3130880
Well, thing is how the fuck do we hold a servant captive, Jack could probably wiggle her way out of whatever we put her in.
>>
>>3130882
Yeah, this pretty much, I really like Jackie but I have no clue how we're supposed to keep an Assassin Servant captive.
>>
Roll for me then.
>>
>>3130882
This as well. We don't exactly have a Caster servant and our real expertise involves puppets and runecrafting. And modern era Magecraft means jackshit to a servant.

Without much fanfare, Ibaraki slammed its sword down into Jack the Ripper, leaving a blood red stain on the concrete floor.

Congratulations, you have killed your first Servant. That's was, anti-climatic but what's she going to do against a raging Oni.

Now, I need a will save!

RIP Assassin.
Too Kawaii to live.

I'm going to wait. I want to see the one and have her be an illusion.

You could just easily have us see through the Illusion with the success
Other than that, I'm happy that our crime bros lived.

Rictor could feel something clouding in the back of his mind, but quickly shooed it away. It must have been some effect of Assassin's.

Ok guys, that's it for tonight. I honestly was trying to memory erase Jack and have a joke where you would think she as still alive.

You guys got gun and likely know what's outside.

How did you think of combat. I realized it went by pretty quick, but that might be because Ibaraki ant 20d on a perception check and went full Berserker. Her aim was to knock off Ibaraki's mana, but she didn't get the sneak attack in. It honestly wouldn't have killed you though, she didn't realize what a Dead Apostle was.
>>
>>3130914
F Jack, we were the worst match up for her. Also, it seemed pretty good.
>>
>>3130914
It's fair, we fought her in bad conditions desu, she shouldn't have deployed The Fog until we were back on the streets and she could use the open space to her advantage.

She should have dashed through a wall/window the second Ibaraki detected her, and started a game of cat and mouse, but her ignorance and I just just plane lack of assassination training cost her.

Tbh, she really fought more like a Lancer here then an Assassin, and she suffered for it.
>>
>>3130914
The combat was a pretty good read, modified DND def felt fine in it. Also, fuck assassins.
>>
>>3130920

I might have played her wrong, but she wasn't trained either. This was likely her first REAL battle and payed the price for attacking a risky target.
>>
>>3130924
Fair, I'm just surprised her Master wasn't watching through her eyes and use a Command Spell to get her out before she died.
>>
>>3130926

Reika doesn't seem like the type to fully understand the tactics of the war but instead trusted Jack in full.

Btw, she's still alive, with command seals...
>>
>>3130914
I kinda enjoyed the fact that combat is fast since I'm assuming that it also brings with it a strong level of lethality.
While not seeing the enemy's rolls or our own servant's rolls is a bit unusual, it also gives it a small bit of mystery and intensity since Servants are meant to be beyond humanity.
>>3130926
If I remember correctly, if it's sticking close to the canon of Apocrypha then Jack's current master would be a hooker who knows next to nothing about the HGW or magic.
>>
>>3130929
Which is why we're sending our crow and moles to find her, to eat and to get some extra seals
>>
>>3130929
Yeah, time to go hunt her down, and steal some seals. We can even drain her dry while we're at it.
>>
You know, how would you guys like if you ran a Servant? I know people oddly like playing masters, it was just and idea.
>>
>>3130946
As tempting as it would be, I think it would be better if we stuck with the master for the time being.
My reasons behind it are 1. It's a bit harder to RP two characters as a player without jerking eachother off by accident. And 2. It would take away a bit of the mystery that makes the servants enjoyable, since at that point it becomes not-pokemon but with more swords blood and fucking.
>>
>>3130954
Well not now, we are too deep into this mess and hopefully kill half the Servants in the grand battle.

Instead you would just run a Servant and have a Master who's likely questionable.
>>
>>3130958
Like a future quest? Sure that’d be neato.

Also, I’m thinking Rictor needs to put his head down after this. Too much curbstomping and the rest of the masters and servants might get a clue...
>>
>>3130958
Oh it's for future quests. Might be cool to see.
I would suggest that you check out Forgotten QM's Black Company Quest and Sworn to Valour Quest to see how he does MC choices for a character who's personality is more set in stone. I'm only bringing it up because freestyling with the RP for a Servant as a player might be more risky since you'll have players that can completely disregard personality traits that are a core of that character for something else entirely for write ins. I am however hoping that I'm just being a worrywort who's talking out their ass and that it's not as bad as I might think it'll go out.

>>3130967
Yeah I agree, we've basically drew first blood in this war. And that's gonna toss some shit into the fanblades.
>>
>>3130990
Can't forget Whathisface is going to have to explain about Karna getting chopped up.
