/qst/ - Quests

In this quest you play as Wade Wakeman, a 15 year old boy with a heart of gold and the wielder of the Omnitrix. This story is being told in an alternate universe, in which there are no longer any remaining Tennysons. Characters from earlier seasons will appear, but not always in a way that you’d expect.

Last time: Wade, Olivia and Alan took down an alien trafficking ring and managed to convert the leader to their side. All was well in the world, until an alien entity promised to take Wade away from his family on his 16th birthday! He and his family departed from the Albright household and set forth to South Carolina. Wade is now confronting his Grandpa about what's been bugging him since they left.

Rules:
Most dice rolls will be 1d100. Modifiers will be added depending on the situation or on the alien being used. Crit successes and crit fails apply.

Your Grandpa has called you to the front of the Rust Bucket for some reason. What ever he wants to talk about, it must be serious.

[Phil]: Wade, we need to talk.

You get a bit nervous and sit down in the passenger seat to face him.

[Wade]: What's up?

[Phil]: That woman you talked to in your dream, she gave you the watch right?

[Wade]: Yeah, she said that she stole it from some old frog or something.

His eyes go wide immediately after hearing that.

[Phil]: Does she know where he is?!

[Wade]: I don't know. I didn't get a chance to ask her. Why what's going on?

[Phil]: That "frog" might just be the only chance we have of winning the war. His name is Asmuth, and he's the smartest being in the entire universe. Legend has it that he's the creator of the Omnitrix. I didn't even think it existed until I saw it on your arm. Thought it was something that you and Ollie made in class until you turned into some big fire-cat.

What do you ask?

>How do you know this guy?
>Can you tell me some more about him?
>Do you think that he can help me learn how to use the watch?

[Wade]: Can you tell me more about him?

[Phil]: He's a Galvan, smartest race in the galaxy. And he's often called the "First Thinker", but I try not to call him that because I think it gives him a big head. He's even been saying that he's the smartest being in 3 galaxies. I mean, the guy's helped out millions of people with his inventions, but he's always rubbed me the wrong way.

Grandpa looks a bit annoyed as he recalls Azmuth's accolades.

[Wade]: You've met him?

[Phil]: Oh yeah, a couple of times. The guy barely said two words to me though. Said he was too busy and to come back in a few years if I wanted to make an appointment. So yeah, you could say we're acquainted. He always loved Max though. Then again, who didn't?

The statement sounds a bit spiteful at first, but you can tell it isn't from the look on his face.

[Wade]: Since he created the Omnitrix, do you think he'd be able to teach me how to use it?

[Phil]: That little runt doesn't have the patience or the time to teach somebody. But don't let that stop you from trying to bug him about it if you do manage to find him. If he doesn't want to help us himself, he could at least help you learn how to use that watch so you can do it yourself. One way or another, we're getting him to help us.

[Wade]: Why'd he run away?

[Phil]: Who knows? Maybe the pressure got to him. You'd have to ask him yourself.

[Wade]: And how are we supposed to find him?

[Phil]: That's just the thing. I think you're gonna need to talk to that crazy lady again. She's the only one who's seen him since he's disappeared.

Grandpa looks a little guilty when he asks this favor of you.

What do you say?

>What?! No way!

[Wade]: Sure, but I don't know how to contact her.

[Phil]: Try calling out to her in your sleep or something. I don't know how any of this works to be honest.

[Wade]: I...didn't get her name either.

[Phil]: ....

[Wade]: Maybe I can call a different name every night until she shows up?

[Phil]: We don't have that kind of time. Your birthday is on the 27th.

[Wade]: What day is it?

[Phil]: The 10th.

>You have 17 days before your 16th birthday.

After the talk with Grandpa, you go to lay down for a little while. Time flies by as you're lost in thought, and the sky darkens without you making any concrete plans to contact the mystery woman. Ollie walks into your room to check on you.

[Olivia]: Hey, you doing ok?

[Wade]: I don't think so. I'm supposed to find a way to contact that crazy lady so she can lead me to the creator of the Omnitrix and end the war.

[Olivia]: Uh, how long was I gone?

A loud thud resounds throughout the RV, causing the entire vehicle to shake. Both you and Olivia run to the front to see what happened.

You see a large reptilian creature on the hood of the Rust Bucket, snarling at you with bloodshot eyes. All of you scream for a moment, and that causes the creature to jump off the hood and run off into the bushes.

You jump out of the Rust Bucket and open up your watch. It's time to try out Spin Cycle again! You slam down hard on your watch, anticipating the big stretch. But something feels...off. You feel very frail and cold, but it's comfortable for some reason. You look down at your hands to see that they resemble an insect's.What's happening?

[Wade]: Is this...a new guy? Cool...

Your voice sounds like that of a raspy middle aged man with laryngitis. But it doesn't feel difficult to talk, this is just something that you have to get used to now. You notice that your wings wrap around you like a winter coat, with some fur lined around the edges. Are you some sort of moth? You can't think about this stuff right now! That thing is getting away.

>Congratulations. You've unlocked "Big Chill"! He as been added to your roster.

You unfold your wings and take flight with ease. Using Bloodrush must've made it easier to get used to this guy's wings. You look down to see the lizard creature plowing through fences and people's yards.

You feel something in the back of your throat and you are tempted to cough it up. But that doesn't quite feel right to you, so you smoothly exhale it as if you were smoking. Not that you would know anything about that type of stuff anyway.

Your cold breath travels towards the creature and envelops him in a cloud of smoke. When the smoke clears, the majority of his body is encased in ice leaving only his head exposed. He struggles ferociously and snarls at you as you land near him.

This alien is pretty useful! You wonder what else he can do.

You approach him and examine the collar the shiny metal collar that he's wearing. It looks kinda high-tech.

[Wade]: What were you doing out here? Are you an alien?

His aggression does not fade, however you see that this creature has been injured. He has scars that cover his body, some are fresher than the others. They look as if he's been getting burned and whipped.

[Wade]: What did this to you? Can you understand me?

He only makes low guttural growls at you now. The collar reacts by making static noises that sort of sound like a broken radio. He looks exhausted, like he's been running all night.

Suddenly, the ground beneath you begins to shake violently. You fly up to avoid whatever's coming, only to see the ground open up where you were standing. It proceeds to swallow up the frozen lizard and close up once more. It's closing fast, what do you do?

>Fly after it. You might be able to follow it if you're fast enough. But you'll have to leave without the others to back you up.(Requires roll)

You fly down to the creature and grab his collar. You should at least pry it off and see what you can learn from it. You tug at it with all your might, but you can't seem to get it to budge. When suddenly, your hands slip right through the collar. You look at your hands and see that they've become transparent. Did you just become intangible? You look at where you were holding the collar and see that it's partly frozen over. You become tangible once more and give the collar another tug, finally causing it snap off.

You focus on that feeling you had when you became intangible and try to phase through the ground above you so that you don't become trapped. You close your eyes and phase through the ground without being injured. It looks like the collar was relatively undamaged as well. You see your cousin and grandpa running towards you.

[Olivia]: Wade...is that you?

[Wade]: Yeah, this guy's new.

[Phil]: Did you catch it?

[Wade]: Not exactly. The ground swallowed him up, but I managed to get this collar off of him. Maybe we can figure out where he's going.

[Phil]: Give it here. I'll see what I can do.

You fly down and time out early before handing the collar to your grandpa. All of you walk back to the RV and wait for the results.

[Olivia]: So what are you gonna call the new guy?

[Wade]: I'm really feeling the name "Big Chill" for some reason.

[Olivia]: I didn't know you could get more than 10 aliens. How many can you get? Is there even a limit?!

Olivia gets extremely close to you and it makes you feel uncomfortable. You push her back into her seat and calm her down.

[Wade]: I don't know how many I can get, but I didn't even pick this guy. He just came out on his own, and that's never happened before. What if I get the wrong alien at the wrong time?

[Olivia]: Don't sweat it. You've never used this guy before and you did pretty well. As long as you can think on your feet, you should be able to take down any bad guy that comes your way.

You smile at Olivia and she shoots you a goofy grin in response. She's pretty good at cheering people up.

[Phil]: Kids! I found something.

Both of you get up and go over to where grandpa is.

(Continued in Next Post)
>>
You see that grandpa has hooked the collar up to another strange device. It looks like a bizarre radar of some sort.

[Phil]: It looks like this collar transmits and receives radio signals.

[Olivia]: Well that's not too weird.

[Phil]: Well it gets worse. This device seems like it can transmit a specific signal that can effect the mood and behavior of the wearer.

[Wade]: Kinda like Thriller Whale!

[Phil]: Exactly. I think that lizard alien was being controlled by this thing. Or it was trying to control him at least.

[Wade]: He looked like he was trying to fight it. But then the ground swallowed him up.

[Phil]: And I don't think that sinkhole was a natural occurrence. There's something going on underneath this city. It might be a bit difficult to track the signal underground, but we can use this collar to find the source of the signal. We just need something to dig underground.

[Wade]: I think I've got just the thing.

You walk back to the patch of soft ground where the sinkhole opened up and decide to experiment with your aliens. First up is Rad-El Snake. You slam down on your watch and let the bright purple flash of light wash over you. You try to burrow into the ground and it works for the most part. You manage to hit the 100ft mark before you feel as if you can't go any deeper. It gets incredibly difficult to go any further, so you crawl back out of the hole and time out early.

After a few minutes pass, you try the dig with Spin Cycle. This time, it's much easier for some reason. Spin Cycle is just naturally good at obliterating whatever he spins into, even mounds of dirt apparently. It's a little irritating to keep all of your eyes closed though. You try to dig in a pattern that will allow grandpa and Olivia to climb down if they need to. To keep the collar safe, you hold it in your mouth and listen closely for any changes in frequency. You try to stay within the less firm patches of dirt, because that's most likely where your reptilian friend has been. Eventually, you run into something solid and the signal from the collar goes crazy. It must be past here. It feels like a door of some sort.

What do you do?

You feel around for the center of the metal door and dig your fingers into the gap. You pull with all your might and manage to pry it open with your powerful muscles, making the large metal doors creak loudly as you pull them apart. You fall into what appears to be a mine-shaft that's been carefully dug out. You notice a metal clinking sound in the distance and decide to follow it. After peeking around a corner, you see a bunch of tiny creatures with pickaxes hacking away at chucks of glowing rocks. And when they get dropped into a cart, a bunch of large reptilian creatures carries them away.

They're mining from something down here. But what? Suddenly, you see a reptilian creature sneaking up behind you. But he doesn't know that you can see him.

You wait for him to get a bit closer, and you notice that he's preparing to pounce. As soon as he leaps, you grab him out of the air and begin spinning him into the ground. You do so without making much noise at all, assuming that they can't hear you over the mining work anyway. Once you've dug him 60 ft down, you bury the remaining dirt on top of him and leave him there with just enough room to breath for a while. The dirt is soft so he can dig himself out in a few minutes, but hopefully you'll be out of here by then. Once you're topside again, you notice a large orange man with a metal plate on his head and tusks jutting out of his chin. He wears a dark red and brown suit that shows off his superhuman musculature and he carries himself with an air of arrogance. He must be in charge around here.

[???]: Listen up you mouth-breathing cretins, I want every chunk of Amalgamite loaded onto the ship by sun-up. I don't wanna stay here any longer than we have to. Plumber activity is getting pretty high in this area now. Hop to it!

When he notices a reptilian trip and fall over, he directs a tiny alien to whip him for his error. That must be how they've been getting injured.

You begin spinning and quickly pick up some pickaxes lying at your feet. One of the pickaxe aliens notice you and tries to run, but you're too quick for him. Any and all who get in your way are smacked aside by your spinning blades. The large orange alien is caught off guard by your interruption, so you use this opportunity to take him out. You don't know who he is or what he's doing here, but he must be bad guy.

He manages to deflect your blades with his arms, but each powerful clash pushes him backward. As you push him back, he fails to notices a loaded mine-cart behind him and trips over it. You stop spinning for moment to see what happened to him, only for him to pop back up holding a weird necklace. It's got bones and orange crystal shards attached to it, held together by an assortment of wires. The same shards that they've been mining.

[???]: I don't know who you are or what you're doing here, but you aint leaving here alive!

[Wade]: Big talk for a guy who makes his slaves do his heavy lifting for him.

The tiny aliens around him start to snicker at your sick burn, only for the large alien to recoil in anger.

[???]: Silence!

They all shut up immediately. He then puts on the necklace and presses a button attached to the wires.

[???]: This Amalgamite is pretty useful stuff. Wanna see what it can do?

You look around to see all of the reptilian aliens in the mine-shaft reacting violently to their collar's signal. Each and every one of them changes into a different type of dinosaur hybrid right before your eyes. You see a pterodactyl, a stegosaurus, and a velociraptor. They now have a deranged look in their eyes.

[???]: Bet you feel pretty stupid for coming in here, huh?

You try to think of a witty comeback, but you just can't swing it with all of this immediate danger around you. This just got a lot more complicated.

You quickly move over to the stegosaurus mutant and grab his tail. You use your superior strength to lift him up by his tail, and you start spinning. You manage to use him as a blunt object to whack away the Velociraptor that tried to pounce on you. The Pterodactyl panics and tries to fly away, but he just can't get away in time. You quickly kick up a stray shard of Amalgamite and attempt to throw it into the barrel of the orange guy's gun. Unfortunately, he times his shot at the same moment you throw the shard and the blaster shot collides with the crystal in mid-air. This results in an explosion that throws you and your assailant far away from each other. The big orange alien lands in a pile of his passed out workers, while you are thrown through a support beam that causes a pile of rocks to collapse on you. Then, everything goes black.

When you come to, you realize that you can't move your arms at all. You panic a bit until you see and feel the chains that have bound you to a stalagmite. A bright light is shined in your face and it makes you reflexively close your eyes. When they eventually turn it off, you see a tiny pickaxe alien that's adjusting the lenses of his goggles. Behind him is the large alien that shot at you earlier. He stands beside him with his arms crossed.

[???]: Ok, who sent you? You with the Plumbers?

What do you say?

[Wade]: Do I look like a Plumber to you?

[???]: I dunno. All you humans look the same to me.

[Wade]: Listen, one of your guys just broke my transportation, and I came down to see what the deal was.

[???]: Well I can't let you leave now. You know too much.

[Wade]: Actually, I'm really lost here. Mind explaining a few things?

[???]: No!

[Wade]: How about a name then. I'm tired of labeling you as the "big orange guy" in my head.

[Vulkanus]: The name's Vulkanus. And you're dead meat unless you shut your mouth!

[Wade]: Just humor me Vulkanus. I couldn't escape even if I wasn't tied to this rock. I'm giving you a prime opportunity to let out your evil monologue.

[Vulkanus]: Evil? Geez, how old are you kid? I just wanna make some cash.

[Wade]: You have slaves and guns down here!

[Vulkanus]: Who doesn't these days?

[Wade]: You're also hiding from the police.

[Vulkanus]: No one likes the police except bootlickers.

[Wade]: That's like the definition of "Bad guy".

[Vulkanus]: Listen kid. You won't get anywhere in the galaxy by playing by the rules. I'm just looking for a cushion to fall back on in my retirement. And this Amalgamite is gonna make a pretty penny on the market.

[Wade]: Do you even know what that stuff could do to people?

[Vulkanus]: Sure I do. Watch.

He pulls out the metal necklace once more and presses a button. One of the reptilian aliens in the back begins screaming, as he transforms into a human right before your eyes.

[Human]: Help...me...

And in an instant, he transforms back into a dinosaur hybrid.

[Vulkanus]: Neat huh? This Amalgamite can splice the DNA of whatever it comes in contact with. While I was digging around, I managed to find some dinosaur bones and I got the greatest idea I've ever had. With these bones, I can hire me some free labor.

The pickaxe aliens begin to murmur amongst one another.

[Vulkanus]: Besides you guys. Now, what do we do with you?

[Wade]: Well you did just tell me your entire plan. So I'm thinking about getting out of here sometime soon.

Vulkanus grins and gets very close to your face.

[Vulkanus]: Heh heh. And how you gonna do that, little man?

You hear the telltale ringtone of your watch recharging and start grinning to yourself.

[Wade]: Like this! Omnitrix. Initiate voice command. Select Necrofriggian

[Omnitrix]: Voice command activated. Necrofriggian selected.

A bright purple light blinds Vulkanus and his cronies, causing them to back away and shield their eyes.

You go intangible and phase through the tiny pickaxe aliens. They try to run away from you, but you fly much quicker than their little legs can carry them. A good chunk of them freeze in place when you pass through them, allowing you to go for Vulkanus' necklace in the meantime. You grab his necklace and try to make in intangible along with yourself. But you don't quite understand how to do it without freezing it, so you spend and unnecessary amount of time fiddling with it. When you look up again, you see barrel of Vulkanus's gun staring you in the face. You panic and dodge out of the way without grabbing the necklace.

Just then, a stray laser shot destroys Vulkanus's wrist mounted gun. Both of you look over to see your grandpa and cousin coming to your rescue. They sure did take a while!

[Phil]: Get the hell away from my grandson!

[Olivia]: Yeah, what he said!

[Vulkanus]: You brought backup?!

[Wade]: You wrecked their ride too, y'know.

You expel your cryogenic gas at the ground in front of the mutants, and they lose their footing on the icy path you've formed. They fall and slide into one another as they land on a loaded mine cart. Grandpa and Olivia give you a thumbs up as a sign of appreciation and you do the same. Next up is that necklace!

You fly circles around Vulkanus and begin freezing him in place. He tries to swat at you, only to have his fist pass through you and freeze solid. Once he's completely immobilized, you snatch the necklace away from him. You remember the button the placement of the button that Vulkanus pressed and repeat the process to turn these guys back to normal. They make loud screeching noises and begin writhing in pain as their scales and excess skin fall off. Their teeth and nails shrink in size along with their muscles and limbs. After about a minute of horrifying physical transformations, they are all lying unconscious on the ground in their human forms. You make short work of their collars and Vulkanus's necklace to prevent anything like this happening ever again.

[Phil]: I already called some Plumbers in advance since I thought this whole thing was fishy.

[Wade]: Nice. We also need to get these guys home somehow. Who knows how long they've been missing.

[Phil]: I think there's a nearby police department somewhere around here. Do you mind dropping them off there?

[Wade]: Sure thing.

You walk over to them and pick them up, surprised by how strong Big Chill actually is. You sling two over your shoulders and use your feet to pick up the last one. You feel like you're forgetting something though.

Just then, a man wearing a collar pops out of the ground and rubs the back of his head.

[Human]: Ugh...what happened?

Oh right! That guy....

[Phil]: Hey man, you ok with walking? I don't think my grandson can carry all of you.

[Human]: Your...grandson?

He looks over to you and screams. Guess he didn't notice you before.

[Wade]: I'm not that ugly, am I?

[Olivia]: Nah, I think you're kinda cute actually.

She smiles shamelessly after saying that. She always did have weird tastes in animals now that you think about it. Maybe that's why she likes your aliens so much.

You fly on over to the police station after getting your family and the alien criminals out safely. With your intangibility and speed, you manage to drop them off without being seen. Afterward, you fly back to the Rust Bucket and time out early. After some much needed maintenance, grandpa manages to get the RV up and running before the Plumbers arrive. It doesn't take long for them to extract the Amalgamite and collect all of the tools and weapons used in this excavation. You just sat in the RV and watched from inside in order to not disturb their investigation(Phil's idea).

You spend the rest of the night recuperating from your light injuries.

When you wake up, you're at the campsite again. Crazy purple sky and all. Ugh not again! Wait no, you've been waiting for this chance!

[Wade]: You dropped a LOT of knowledge kind of out of nowhere. So I was kind of still processing that. Aaaand I feel that we both said some things we didn't entirely mean.

[Verdona]: Like what?

[Wade]: I said I didn't want to date you, and you said you wanted to kidnap me. You know, crazy stuff.

[Verdona]: I meant every word, my darling.

Actually, you're terrified. Verdona reaches over to gently caress your shoulder and you can't help but shudder at her touch.

She clutches her head in pain, but you've no idea why.

[Wade]: But you said that I'm just like him. I don't think he'd like what you're doing, and you know it.

[Verdona]: Please, don't reject me. You're the only part of him that I have left...

She seems to be remorseful, but you need to send her a clear message and make her back off.

[Wade]: I have a life here! You can't expect me to go with you at the drop of a hat.

[Verdona]: I just wanted to be with you...

She falls to her knees, and her human form comes undone. The environment around you begins to fall apart as giant cracks form.

[Wade]: I need you to tell me everything you know about Azmuth.

[Verdona]: If I tell you, will you come with me?

Her question stops you in your tracks. You wonder if she is being genuine, but the way she looks at you makes you pity her a bit. This is a pretty big deal that you're making. And you're unsure of whether you should make it now.

>>
>>3112148
D'Traxus is an OC villain that I've created for you to fight. You won't find anything on him outside of this quest. He rose to power after the massive power vacuum caused by Vilgax's demise. And currently, it is unknown whether Vilgax is truly dead or not, as they haven't found a body and he has been missing for several years.

>>
>>3112593
The show appears to be slowly getting better, but I'm not sure if I want to dive into it just yet. When it first came out, I felt like the reboot wasn't meant for me. Instead they aimed for a younger audience with little to no appreciation of the original series. Though I have to admit they've done some cool things such as introducing Vilgax's DNA into the Omnitrix and making cool villains like the High Override. But I haven't actually committed to watching it so I wouldn't know too much about the show.

As for the rest of the aliens, I haven't really seen one that I might feel like incorporating into this quest. There's Overflow, but I don't have too much love for him since he feels like a rip-off of Water Hazard(Another cool underused alien), but that might just be my bias talking.

Slapback is interesting and Shock Rock seems really powerful(if not OP).

What do you guys think about the new aliens and the reboot?
>>
>>3112606
I do think it's not aimed at fans of the original show, and the art-style is really jarring for me. I haven't seen any of the aliens from it but I feel like it wasn't made for fans of the original show.
>>
>>3112606
its not made for the original fans more a new thing aimed at the younger audience but they are getting better and having originality i dont really think of it as a reboot more a new series
and art styles are not really a problem for me i just dont like the art style as much but i dont dislike it but i am disappointed in the new gwens looks due to a unobtainable ideal that only the original can match due to a small childhood crush
i am okay with the series and enjoy it sometimes
only thing that bugs me really much was the stink bug redesign but its a marketability thing thats understandable
>>
>>3112626
its okay but not as good i like they where original
>>
>>3112626
>>3112688
The new Stinkfly design was weird to me at first, but I can appreciate it. I did think it was odd that every alien was humanoid in structure for some reason, but that's probably due to merchandise marketing as well. The purple Upgrade wasn't too much of a big change either.

The one thing I can't get over with the reboot Gwen is it feels like she's been stripped of her personality and has defaulted to Ben's sidekick most of the time. Other than that I don't mind the series too much.

You think for a moment before answering the depressed purple alien before you. You seriously consider telling her to leave you alone, but you've always been a bit of a softie when confronted by a person in need. You let out a deep sigh and offer a hand to her.

[Wade]: Ok, I'll come with you. But not now or anytime soon. You'll have to wait until I'm 18.

A wide smile spreads across her face as she flies into the air again.

[Verdona]: Do you really mean ti?!

[Wade]: I have some conditions. I'm allowed to bring some friends if I feel uncomfortable about it, with the course of the trip taking place over the summer of that year. I'm willing to at least give you a chance here. Don't blow it by attacking me, my family or any of my friends.

She puts her finger to her lip and deliberates your conditions, only to go back to her previous cheerful mood after a few seconds.

[Verdona]: Ok, it's a deal.

She extends her hand to you. You go to grab it, but stop abruptly.

[Wade]: Oh and no tricks either. You can't do anything to shorten the time between now and then, use any goons to do your dirty work for you, and you certainly can't brainwash me. Deal?

She lets out a deep sigh. Was she actually planning some of that stuff?!

[Verdona]: ...Fine. It's a deal!

You go to grab her hand and a bright flash of light blinds you. When you open your eyes again, you're laying on your bed in the Rust Bucket.

Wait, what happened to the information on Azmuth?! We had a deal! You start to get frustrated, but then you notice a glowing message engraved on your right arm.

It reads:

"It appears the frog has moved. But not to worry, I will find him in a timely fashion and alert you when I sense his presence."

So she lost him again. Great...

Well at least you have someone looking for him now. That's good for something. You get up and walk towards the living area to find Olivia sitting down at the bench. She jumps up when she notices you walking through the door.

[Olivia]: Hey cuz, you okay? Me and grandpa got worried since you went straight to bed after that whole Amalgamite business.

[Wade]: I'm fine. I actually need to talk to you and grandpa about something.

She nods and leads you to the driver's seat where Phil is sitting. He slightly turns his head to look at you as you walk in.

[Phil]: Hey there kiddo! I see you're up and about. How you feeling?

[Wade]: I've got a bit of a headache, but I'll live. I need to talk to you about the crazy lady. Her name is Verdona.

Grandpa nearly swerves off to the side of the road when you mention her name.

[Phil]: Verdona?! THE "Verdona"?

[Olivia]: You know her?

[Phil]: Know her?! Max wouldn't shut up about her when we went on missions. You'd think they'd been married for 50 years already. She was his sweetheart.

[Wade]: She thinks that I'm the last remaining part of Max left, and that's why she wants me to go with her. But I managed to cut a deal with her.

[Phil]: What kind of deal?

[Wade]: She'll leave me alone for a while and help us look for Azmuth...

[Olivia]: But?

[Wade]: I have to go on a trip with her to travel the galaxy when I turn 18. Just one summer though! And I'm allowed to bring friends and a chaperone!

They both stare at you with their mouths hanging open.

[Olivia]: Wade! What the fuck?! How could you make a deal with the purple alien devil without consulting us first?!

[Phil]: Language young lady! But she's right son. I don't think this is a good idea either. Who knows what might happen if she decides to keep you instead of bringing you home afterward.

[Wade]: It was either this or get my friends and family hurt trying to protect me!

[Olivia]: It's not your job to protect us. We look out for each other, remember?!

[Wade]: Why are you angry? You can come too.

[Olivia]: You're damn right I'm coming! Who else is gonna save your sorry butt when you get in over your head.

[Phil]: Neither of you kids are going up there without me! I'm the only one that knows how things work in alien civilizations.

All of you stop and realize that you're trying to protect each other in the most aggressive way possible. All of you get quiet for a few minutes, reflecting on what you've said and heard. It get's kind of awkward for a while, so you decide to break the silence with another question.

[Wade]: Any word on how Kevin's doing?

[Phil]: Koba tells me that he's being surprisingly cooperative. They should be able to nail those government guys in no time! But he did mention that we should be careful if they're hunting down aliens. Especially you, Wade.

[Wade]: I'll be careful. I promise. But I think we might be doing some good by drawing attention to ourselves.

[Phil]: Nope. Absolutely not.

[Wade]: Just hear me out, ok? These corrupt government guys, alien criminals and evil witches are all hiding from us. We'll never be able to know if we've rooted them all out unless we put ourselves out in the open. We should draw these guys out by being more public.

[Olivia]: Like how?

[Wade]: I think it's time the world knew it has an alien protector. And the Plumbers can come clean too! If we introduce the Plumbers to the public, they'll know that we're looking out for them. And not to mention that alien criminals will have to be more careful.

[Phil]: There's no way the governments of this world would co-operate with the Plumbers. We humans don't exactly play nice with alien invaders wielding weapons of mass destruction.

[Wade]: That's why we wait. They'll need us someday, and we'll be there to protect them.

[Phil]: You want to wait for a cataclysmic event to improve alien and human relations?

[Wade]: Do you have a better idea?

[Phil]: Not really. Ok, we'll try it your way. But I don't want you exposing your identity to the public. It'd be too dangerous.

[Wade]: Don't worry, grandpa. I've got a plan for that.

You excitedly look to your cousin and she smiles back, getting the message loud and clear. She leads you to to her room and opens up a fancy looking chest to reveal an unfinished costume.

[Wade]: Oh man, it looks great! When will it be finished?

[Olivia]: Give me a few more days and it'll be ready. You can take the mask if you want though.

>Mask acquired

The rest of the trip is spent gushing over your fancy new mask and pondering your secret identity. You didn't even realize that you'd arrived in Georgia. When the RV stops, you and rest of the Wakeman's exit the vehicle and stretch your legs. It's noticeably hotter here than it was over in North Carolina, but you can always change into Big Chill every now and then to cool off. The first thing you do is head into a gift shop with your family. You don't see anything that looks remotely interesting, but grandpa goes ahead and buys you some gum that you didn't ask for.

>Gator eggs chewing gum acquired

Olivia brings a shirt to you that says "Boathouse of Horrors".

[Olivia]: What do you think this is?

[Cashier]: You don't know about the Boathouse of Horrors?!

[Olivia]: Obviously not since we're in a tourist shop.

Ollie savagely said out loud what you were thinking.

[Cashier]: Oh...right, sorry. It's a carnival in the bayou that's real popular amongst tourists and locals. You guys should head up there sometime!

[Phil]: That sounds fun. What do you guys think? It'd be a nice break from the usual life threatening circumstances.

The both of you decide to go try Cinder-block diving first. When the ferry comes, you and a bunch of other people board it quickly. The rest of these guys must be tourists too, because they're taking pictures of everything they see for the rest of the ride. At some point during the ride, a water spout shoots up and the spines of a large alligator peeks out from the water. You reflexively jump back and reach for your watch, but grandpa stops you and shakes his head. Right, it's all fake. No real danger.

The boathouse reminds you of one of those Mardi Gras party houses you see on the news. You can see very tall men walking on stilts and decorated dancers welcoming the quests. Once all of you climb out of the ferry, you run to the ticket booth and purchase 3 tickets. You get through security and use your map to find the diving station. You've arrived just in time to hear the explanation.

[Diver]: So kids, we're gonna wrap you in an insulated blanket that's sealed air-tight. Then we're gonna feed both of these tubes into your insulated blanket to pump air in and out. And lastly, we're gonna tie you to this fake cinder block and lower you down into the depths of the bayou. But be careful! Big Al's lurking down there! And we haven't fed him all week...

The kids start to squeal, but you and Ollie know better than to fall for some fake urban legend. you look over to Ollie to see her squealing alongside the children.

...Well you know better.

When it gets to be your turn, they secure you into the airtight blanket and wrap you up tightly with rope. They feed the tubes through the top and spend 5 minutes triple-checking both you and Olivia's blankets and pumps. They lower you down into the water and you see everything from a built in glass visor near your eyes. When you hit the bottom, you start to squirm around as you sway back and forth. It's a weird feeling, but it's honestly pretty fun. You and Ollie start wiggling like worms to make each other laugh and you can feel like a kid again. Suddenly, a dark shadow swims past you very quickly. You wonder what it was, but then you chalk it up to some sort of gimmick. That is until you see it pass Olivia, and it's fucking massive! At least twice as big as the average man.

You start to panic and reach for your watch, but then you realize that you'd have to expose yourself to the public in order to defend yourself. So you just sit there and wait to be pulled up. The tension is killing you, and Ollie seems to see it too because she's screaming and squirming wildly now. The large creature comes around once more, but this time his tail whips you with enough force to knock you to the bottom of the lake. Your protective blanket springs a leak and you begin to panic, but you feel the wires connected to your cover pulling you back up to the surface. When you get out, you're covered in sweat and so is your cousin.

[Diver]: So ya saw Big 'Al, huh?! Bet he was pretty big.

[Wade]: Is every game and ride like this?!

[Diver]: They sure are! Every ride we have is awesome and terrifying. That's what makes this carnival so amazing!

[Wade]: Awesome?! ...Ok yeah, I will admit it was pretty cool.

[Diver]: Right?! You wanna get back in line?

[Olivia]: No thanks!

Olivia runs off without you.

[Wade]: Your bag sprung a leak by the way.

[Diver]: What?! No way. Sorry kids, the ride's shut down until we can fix this.

You hear everyone in line start to bicker and complain. you decide to get out of here before they start blaming you. Once you catch up with Olivia, you try to decide where to go next. You decide to wander around the carnival and take it easy for a while. You look to your left and see a boy eating a candied apple while an older gentleman throws daggers at a target behind him. Was that the candied apple toss?! Why are all of these games so dangerous?

While you're walking around, the both of you come across a strange looking girl with white hair and flowing purple coat. She looks to be around your age. Did she dye her hair to be that way? Is she one of the performers? You walk over to her and try to talk to her. She appears to be drawing something.

[Wade]: Hey, I like your costume.

She doesn't even acknowledge you.

[Wade]: Did you make it yourself?

She finally stops drawing and looks at you.

[???]: Nope, my uncle made it for me. He works here.

[Wade]: I hope he doesn't make the rides.

She chuckles at your sly remark.

[???]: Yeah, they are pretty garbage. I'm pretty sure I'd die if I went on those rides.

[Wade]: You'd get pretty darn close in my experience.

[???]: What's your name?

[Wade]: Wade, and this is Olivia. What's yours?

[Hope]: I'm Hope, but you don't have to remember it.

[Olivia]: Why not?

[Hope]: Because there's no point. You'll just leave like everyone else. You're on vacation right?

[Wade]: Yeah, so?

[Hope]: So it doesn't matter. Go enjoy the carnival.

[Olivia]: Wanna come with?

[Hope]: Seen it all before. You go on ahead. The show is starting.

Just then, you hear thunderous applause erupt from the tent.

[Wade]: man you must really get-

When you turn back around, Hope's gone!

[Wade]: ...tired of that.

[Olivia]: C'mon, we're gonna miss the show!

She pulls you by the hand and leads you toward the tent. Once you enter, you find grandpa and sit down next to him.

[Phil]: You made it! The show's about to start! Did you have fun?

[Wade]: Oh yeah...had the time of my life.

Suddenly, the lights go dim and the music kicks in. The crowd starts going wild, and so does your family.

A puff of purple smoke and confetti erupts in the middle of the stage, catching everyone off guard. When the smoke clears, a decomposing looking clown appears before the audience.

[Zombozo]: Greetings, good evening and salutations. Welcome to the Boathouse of Horrors! I am your host, Zombozo. And tonight, none of you will be leaving here alive...

He breaks out into a cackling laugh, but it's cheesiness only causes the audience to laugh along with him. His costume and makeup are amazing....

[Zombozo]: Now, my next trick will require a few assistants.

A good number of people raise their hands, even Grandpa.

[Zombozo]: Hmm, so many willing victims-I mean volunteers! I'm flattered by your willingness to volunteer, but there will be no need to choose. Because you all will be participating!

As he says this, a bunch of ghost like creatures jump out and begin dancing around the crowd. A bunch of guys in glowing skeleton costumes run onto the stage and begin dancing alongside Zombozo. He's actually surprisingly agile for a fat clown. The dance begins to devolve into a terrible slapstick skit that involves deflated balloons, coconut cream pies and banana peels.

This whole thing feels a bit obnoxious to you, but everyone else is loving it. Especially your family. They've been dying of laughter ever since these guys started dancing. Actually now that you look at them, they a e pretty funny. You don't even know why! Looking at these guys just cracks you up. This goes on for about a minute before your stomach starts to hurt. Everything looks hazy and you can't breath. Something feels wrong.

You can't let some freakish clown take you out! You open up your watch, select Thriller whale and slam down hard on the button. Zombozo stops dancing and shields his eyes when he sees the bright purple flash.

You look over to your family and emit a melody that will calm them down and allow them to breathe. Seeing that it's successful, you increase the volume to allow your song to affect everyone in the tent. All of them are talking amongst themselves now, confused about what's going on.

[Zombozo]: Hee hee, someone's being a very bad boy~.

The way he said that seriously made your skin crawl. He then looks to one of the skeleton dancers and whacks him over the head with a bowling pin.

[Zombozo]: Well? Don't stop on my accord boys. I hired you to dance the night away!

The skeleton dancers look confused, but they try to get their rhythm back in order to get paid. Not on your watch. You release a powerful sonic blast directed at the ground in front of them, blowing them all away.

[Wade]: Hope you paid those guys in advance.

Zombozo looks furious now.

[Zombozo]: You're ruining the show! Boys, beach this whale!

A long lock of hair attempts to ensnare you, but instead it destroys the seat you were sitting in before as you swiftly dodge it. You see a woman with long flowing hair, a buff man with a toenail on his forehead, and some fugly looking guy with horrible teeth. The woman whips her hair against you again! You need to beat these guys without having anyone get hurt.

You immediately fire a sonic blast at the debris that the thumb freak is holding over his head, breaking it to pieces and making it collapse on him. You then focus on the guy behind him and create a song to aid his frustration. He gets a deranged look in his eyes and breathes a toxic gas at the thumb guy. The toxic gas appears to melt his clothes and burn his skin, but the thumb guys grabs him by the mouth and tosses him across the room before following it up with a flying elbow drop.

She doesn't let up on her rush of attacks, so you decide to sing her a lullaby. She begins to feel the effect almost immediately, and her punches and kicks become much more sluggish and delayed. When she can barely hold her eyes open, you hit her with a non-lethal point blank sonic blast that blows her all the way to her friends in the corner of the tent. They all collide and become knocked unconscious, allowing you to relax for a moment.

But it doesn't last long, because you notice that Zombozo is missing! You hear his maniacal laugh echoing throughout the tent, but you can't see him. You prepare your sonar to find out where he is. It's time to hunt down a zombie clown.

Dunno if anyone's interested but I'm gonna post alien trivia every now and again. I'll probably make a pastebin for all of this later.

Alien: Zipmunk
Species: Raskadarian

Planet: The Raskadarian home world, Yggdril 4, is a gigantic circuit board that the Raskadarians travel through freely in their energy forms. There are of course roads and designated homes that are built to contain the feedback that Raskadarians unconsciously give off. They’ve never had a problem with energy provisions, but blackouts are very common.

Culture: The Raskadarians are habitual pranksters and liars, causing their language to be built upon wordplay and subtle nuances. Their literature and motion pictures are surprisingly well developed and difficult to comprehend upon first glance. They highly value each other’s company, and tend to have large families that can reach the 100’s.
>>
Alien: Rad-El Snake
Species: Soldaat Mkulu

Planet: The Mkulu’s home planet, Mkuul-2, is an very warm and humid jungle planet teeming with dangerous wildlife. The Mkulu are experienced hunters that must overcome their laid back nature to survive in their harsh environment.

Culture: The Mkulu are natural born hunters that value honor above all else. They are not allowed to use their hypnotic gaze on the predators and prey that they hunt with the intention of eating. This is because the chemicals that their victims’ brains release when they are exposed to the effects of the hypnosis is highly toxic to them. Mkulu enjoy eating the brains of the creatures that they hunt. They are allowed to use their ability if it is a life or death situation, though. They receive their sunglasses when they complete a rite of passage to become true warriors. Until then, they are raised and trained in massive underground burrows that protect their sensitive eyes from the harsh sunlight of their planet.

Here are the other two alien trivia pieces that I've written. I'll probably write some more for the next session

Alien: Knuckle Duster
Species: Kerdos Caiman

Planet: The Kerdos Caiman’s home world, Makeb, is a rather humid swamp planet with very low visibility due to a thick fog that envelops the whole planet. The Kerdos Caiman usually don’t have any trouble finding prey, and have even been known to cannibalize one another in order to meet the needs of their absurdly fast metabolism. A Caiman that has damaged or rotted teeth is 10 times more likely to starve on Makeb, since the acquirement of fresh food is rather competitive.

Culture:The Kerdos Caiman often compete in games and contests in order to show off their physical prowess and attract mates. The females are usually as big, if not sometimes bigger than the average Caiman. But this is seen as a sign of beauty and good health. The average Caiman usually burns enough calories in their intense games to work off their meals from their high protein diet. A Caiman that doesn’t work or attempt to better himself is seen as the scum of his society.

Alien: Dropkick
Species: Rwaddi

Planet: The Rwaddi’s home world, Gnolboros 3, is a lush jungle planet with trees the size of skyscrapers. These agile bird creatures get around by swinging with their long dangling arms and kicking off of the sturdy trees with their powerful legs. It isn’t unheard of for a Rwaddi to go their entire lives without touching the ground. It isn’t recommended either, because toxic gas covers the majority of Gnolboros's surface. Rwaddi commonly build huts and nests in the trees, along with rops and checkpoints to land on after leaps. Safety nets are built underneath villages in order to catch wandering hatchlings, the elderly and infirmed.

Culture: The Rwaddi like to play games as they hunt for prey, using their athletic prowess to easily disable them. Gymnastics and sports are a national pastime amongst fellow Rwaddi, and there are very few that do not take part or enjoy them. Certain Rwaddi deviate from the villages and live in seclusion in order to appreciate the beauty of nature, and some do so in order to form their own tribes or villages. Rwaddi are usually very gentle and docile when they aren't playing games of a competitive nature.

(And we're back!)

After noticing Zombozo was gone, you start to search for him with your sonar. But then you immediately notice that there are still a surprising amount of people left in the tent. And they're all staring at you! You thought they were screaming in terror, but it seems like their actually cheering for you. Did they think this whole thing was an act?

[Phil]: We love you, Bloator!!

[Olivia]: Give it up for Bloator everybody!

Seems like your family was doing damage control. How nice of them! But it does feel nice to have your heroic actions be praised. You start to bow and wave at the crowd to keep the lie going.

Enough of that for now! Gotta find that clown. Actually...there are his assistants in the corner. Maybe they'd know where he went?

You walk over to them and they begin to shake in fear when you draw close. Now that you think about it, these guys don't look like aliens. Maybe they're mutants? If so, then you might be able to cure them. Well...fix their DNA at least.

You time out manually and mess with your watch for a bit. The sudden yellow flash causes the Circus freak trio to shield their eyes.

[Wade]: Omnitrix, can you repair their DNA?

The watch scans them for a moment.

[Omnitrix]: DNA repair is possible. Confirmation required.

[Acid Breath]: DNA...repair? What are you gonna do to us?

[Wade]: I'm gonna fix you. You won't have to work for Zombozo or live your lives as outcasts. You'll be free to do whatever you want.

[Frightwig]: Please don't! Take us to jail, but don't take away who we are. Anything but that!

They're really against it. Maybe they like being freaks? Who are you to take away someone's identity. On the other hand, they could use their abilities to hurt others and commit crimes. They can't be allowed to do this anymore.

What do you do?

You sigh deeply and deactivate the command.

[Wade]: Don't make me regret this. Omnitrix: Deny Confirmation.

[Omnitrix]: Confirmation Denied.

How redundant.

The trio breathes a sigh of relief.

[Wade]: Any idea where your boss went?

They all point toward a poorly lit tunnel on the other side of the tent. It looks pretty shady.

[Wade]: Of course...

You get up to walk away and stop without turning to look at them.

[Wade]: Oh, and don't let me catch you again. Or else.

You can't see them, but you know that you scared them good. Hopefully you scared them enough to go straight.

You don't have the luxury of waiting fro your watch to recharge. Not when that crazy clown is running free. You shout to your family in the bleachers to get their attention.

[Wade]: Guys! Zombozo's getting away! He went this way.

You point towards the tunnel and start running towards it. You don't slow down at all as you begin sliding down the steep tunnel, hoping that your family is following close behind you. Once you reach the bottom, you can hear the sound of your family sliding down after you. You look around to see an arrangement of florescent lights that flicker on and off in a very spooky fashion. It must be intentional.

All of you walk down the hallway before you, being sure to stick close to one another. All of you are unarmed after all.

After walking for about 2 or 3 minutes, you discover a much bigger area that must've taken months to dig out. You and your family climb down a ladder and begin investigating the area. A strange device in the middle of the room draws your attention. It looks alien in design, having various tubes and high voltage wires running through it.

[Zombozo]: I see that you've found my little toy.

His voice echoes throughout the cave.

[Wade]: You shouldn't leave your toys outside it's box, Zombozo. That's how they get broken.

You fiddle with your watch, but it doesn't seem to be done recharging.

[Zombozo]: On the contrary. I wanted you to find it. Me and my associate.

[Olivia]: Associate?

Suddenly, a large plume of purple smoke fills the air and reveals the figure of a man behind you. When the smoke clears, you see a man with a painted face, a snazzy suit and a fancy looking cane.

[Hex]: I see that you've found my base of operations. This is Zombozo's doing, I presume?

The clown drops down from the ceiling and waddles his way over to the painted man in a panic.

[Zombozo]: You've got it all wrong, partner! I needed to take those guys out. they were ruining the show! That kid over there ain't normal! He became a whale and trashed my trio. Kids these days and their devices, amiright?

[Hex]: Silence! I shall deal with you later. But for now, we must entertain our guests.

He slams his cane to the ground and a purple wave of energy is released into it. You see a horde of zombies rise out of the ground and they begin to surround you.

[Hex]: Dispose of them...

The zombies rush towards you!

You put your dukes and punch a zombie square in the chin, causing it's head to fly off it's body. You get a bit cocky from the success of your first punch, and it causes you to become a bit distracted. Another zombie swipes at you from your blind spot, but it barely grazes you. You throw another punch, but this one doesn't quite have the same success as the last. His head snaps back and you hear an audible crack, but it still appears to be hanging off the back of his body by his skin alone. Maybe you got lucky with your placement? You'll have to ask grandpa for some pointer later. But for now, you gotta bring this guy down!

Olivia seems to be doing pretty well for herself. A zombie grabs her from behind, but she quickly judo flips it and stomps its skull to pieces. She delivers another swift kick to a nearby zombie, causing its jaw to fall off.

[Olivia]: Ew.

You look to grandpa to see if he's ok, but you're absolutely captivated by what you see. A zombie tries to grab him, only to have his arm grabbed, bent behind his head and swiftly snapped in two. He grabs another nearby zombie and snaps his neck, letting him go limp and fall to the ground. Onother zombie slowly approches him from behind and you try to call out to him. But you don't have to help him at all. He delivers a swift roundhouse to his head, disabling him immediately. Another zombie catches the head of the zombie that had his kicked off. He looks up to grandpa with what you assume to be fear. He runs up to him with surprising speed, steps on his right foot to keep him in place, and punches his head clean off! Grandpa doesn't miss a beat!

[Wade]: Wow...

You don't ever remember him being this cool! Your watch beeps to let you know that it's done recharging.

[Wade]: Oh yeah! It's Show Time!

You select Big Chill and slam down on your watch. A purple flash envelops you and you anticipate the stretch, but something feels off. You instead shrink down to about a quarter of your size. When you look at your hands, you realize that you've turned into Snotrocket?

[Wade]: Huh? What's going on?

[Olivia]: What's up?

[Wade]: The Omnitrix gave me the wrong alien. It's never done that before. Well, not like this at least. What's the deal?

You blow a snot bubble and use it to protect yourself from getting your alien brains eaten. You then roll over to your family and open up your bubble to allow them in.

[Wade]: Ok everybody, start running!

They give you a nod and start running along with you. The snot bubble runs over every zombie in your way and causes them to stick to it. They don't have the intelligence to improvise, so they kinda just keep running at you and getting run over. When you've cleared the room of enough zombies, you command the bubble to expand and explode, gluing every zombie to the floor or a nearby wall.

[Olivia]: That was so fun! We should do it again sometime.

[Hex]: Impressive. I hadn't expected anyone in this town to be as competent as yourself.

[Wade]: Actually we're tourists. We probably won't be giving your "Boathouse of Horrors" a stellar review though.

[Zombozo]: I'm afraid you won't live long enough to go on "Yelp". But at least I'll get to hear what a dinosaur sounds like when he gets burned alive!

Zombozo pulls out a large water tank with a strange green liquid inside. From the way it's bubbling and his previous remark, you guess that it's acid.

Ben's OP but he's so cocky and carefree that he is his own weakness. There have even been episodes that clearly show he sucks at using a lot of his aliens. I'm also growing to love our intelligent, yet wholesome protag. Someday I wanted to do an Elseworlds special where you play as alternate Wade's with different personalities and backgrounds.

Also thanks for the support, man. I had no idea if this quest would take off at all when I first started out. Now I'm happy to see that so many people enjoy a show and setting that I love. Thanks for sticking with me for so long. It's only because of the players that I'm able to keep this thing going. And I'm having so much fun writing this quest now. You guys are honestly my heroes.

You quickly fire a snot rocket at the nozzle of the water tank, gumming it up and preventing the acid from escaping. But Zombozo doesn't stop trying to fire the acid, and a really big acid-filled snot bubble is building up.

[Hex]: Zombozo, you fool! Turn it off!

[Zombozo]: I-I can't! The trigger's jammed. Duck and cover!

Zombozo throws the tank on the ground and runs behind a nearby rock. You, your family and Hex all do the same. You hear a loud popping sound and then see a large amount of acid fly everywhere. Thankfully, none of it hits you or your family.

[Wade]: Everyone ok?

They both nod.

[Zombozo]: Aghhhhhhh! It burns!

You all peek over to see what's going on. It appears Zombozo's hand was hit by the raining acid.

[Zombozo]: I'm melting! I'm melting!

His hand has already melted to the bone, and it doesn't appear to be stopping anytime soon. Just how powerful was that stuff?

[Hex]: Quit squirming you fool! You might get some on me!

[Zombozo]: This is your fault! You and your soul-stealing scams!

[Hex]: My fault? You're the one that wanted to start a carnival! I wanted to keep it simple and kidnap people.

[Zombozo]: Oh please. I'd starve before we caught a victim with your methods. And no one ever told you to dress up for the occasion. Admit it. You were enjoying it!

[Hex]: I was not!

[Zombozo]: Was too!

[Hex]: Was not!

[Zombozo]: Was too!

[Hex]: Then maybe you can feed off of the fear of squirrels in the park, because we're through!

[Zombozo]: We most certainly are! I'm leaving.

He pulls out a briefcase from his pocket, opens it and a small car pops out. He opens the door and crams himself inside. He then pops his head out of the absurdly large car.

[Zombozo]: You'll be hearing from my lawyer!

He closes the door and drives away, but you glue the car to the ground with a snot rocket. Hex looks to you as if he forgot that you were there.

[Wade]: That was nice and all, but you guys are still going to jail. Maybe you can share a cell and work all this out later.

Hex sighs and puts his hands up.

[Hex]: ...Just do it.

You fire a large snot rocket at him that glues him to the floor. You saved the day! Kinda...

You leave the tunnel and wait for authorities to show up. It'll be hard to make anything stick to Zombozo and Hex, but the cops will most likely find something to incriminate them. After you timed out, you messed with the watch a bit to try and find out why you'd been given the wrong alien. But it's not like you knew how to properly use it in the first place, so you give up and hope that the problem won't show up anymore.

When the cops show, they make everyone evacuate since they need room to investigate. They'll most likely end up getting the place shut down once they discover how unsafe the rides and underground tunnels are. A tiny part of you is happy about that. You see them putting Hex in a police car, but what interests you is when you see Hope staring at him from afar with a sad look in her eyes. She's holding a large book that looks like it's far too heavy for her.

You walk over to her and try to start a conversation.

[Hope]: Yeah, you could say that. He was always nice to me.

[Wade]: Well you can never really know people. At least he can't hurt you or your Uncle ever again.

She begins to cry into her sleeve. Oh god! Was it something you said?

[Wade]: I'm sorry, are you ok?

[Hope]: No...I'm not. My uncle was a good man. He'd never hurt anyone. Why does everyone keep saying that he hurt people?

Oops. You'd never thought that she was related to that psycho. Better handle this delicately.

[Wade]: They have reason to believe that he was involved in something illegal.

[Hope]: Well they're lying! Cops have never done anything to help us. All they've ever done is take from me. And now I've got no one...

She stares off into the distance with a sorrowful look in her eye.

[Wade]: My grandpa might be able to find a home for you.

Hope says nothing. She instead watches the police car that 's carrying her uncle drive down the road.

[Wade]: It's better than living out on the streets.

[Hope]: Yeah, you're right. Thanks.

She seems emotionally exhausted, and you can't blame her. After a while the conversation dies down and you walk away hoping that things get better for her. You get into the Rust Bucket and spend the rest of the trip sulking and thinking about your decision to have Hex arrested. You couldn't just let him walk free, but you had to tear apart a family in order to stop him. Grandpa notices your sulking and tries to cheer you up.

[Phil]: You did the right thing, Wade. We couldn't let that guy go.

[Wade]: I know, but it still sucks. I wanted to do something for that girl, but now she has to spend the rest of her childhood being raised by another family. And we don't even know if they're gonna treat her right.

[Phil]: All we can do is pray that the decisions we make are the right ones.

[Wade]: And what if they aren't?

Grandpa remains silent for a bit.

[Phil]: Try to do better next time and learn from your mistakes. If you keep looking back when you're on the road, you'll just end up crashing.

You lay your head down and try to let grandpa's words sink in. It's solid advice, as harsh as it may be.

Meanwhile...

Coyote sits in a dark room with an orb of light hovering over him. A female humanoid chicken alien and a green spongy alien walk into the room wearing Plumber uniforms. Officer Tripp sits down while Officer Dribble stands menacingly behind Coyote. Coyote simply sits patiently and fiddles with his grav-cuffs.

[Officer Tripp]: Ok buddy, we'll try this one more time. Who are you?

[Coyote]: I am the Coyote.

[Officer Dribble]: But, who are you really?!

[Coyote]: I will repeat what I have been saying this entire time. I am the Coyote.

[Officer Tripp]: No, your real name!

[Coyote]: It is Coyote!

[Officer Dribble]: Who were you born as?

[Coyote]: The Coyote!

[Officer Tripp]: Ok. Who were you before you were the Coyote?

[Coyote]: I was Desmond Thomas. He was the previous host of this body.

Officer Tripp pulls Dribble aside for a moment and whispers to him.

[Officer Tripp]: I think I can talk to him now. I just gotta work with his craziness. Maybe we can get his other personality to come out and fess up or something.

[Officer Dribble]: Ok, I'll follow your lead. Because I really want to go home...

They return to their previous positions.

[Officer Tripp]: Can we speak to Desmond Thomas?

[Coyote]: You can't.

[Officer Dribble]: Well why not?!

[Coyote]: Because I consumed his body and now I wear his face. He is but a disguise for my savage nature.

Both of the officers groan loudly and Officer Tripp slams her beak on the table before clucking.

[Officer Tripp]: This is gonna be a long night...

My next session will be held on Thursday at 4pm. It will be in a new thread.
>>
>>3117986
Really interesting so far. You've mentioned you had more OC ones, and I kinda wanna see those.
>>
>>3117986
Overall, I’ve been having a blast. Seeing this brings back good memories of the shows, and I’m planing on rewatching the original series soon. My only real complaint is that due to our aliens being more general purpose, some (like zipmunk and thriller whale) see more usage while others (Vertigoat having one fight that was a quick stomp) don’t seem as popular. As for new aliens, a tech-based alien like upgrade or jury rigg is the only thing I’d say we’re lacking in.
>>
>>3118004
I see what you mean, and I had the same concern when I made the starting lineup. Quite a few landed in the reject pile, and others were made to show up later since they're pretty powerful. I was worried that no one would like certain aliens, but it's bound to happen. Amongst versatile aliens like Zipmunk and Thriller Whale, Vertigoat doesn't feel as appealing. I almost gave him telekinesis as an ability, but then I thought that'd be a tad bit boring. I had fun thinking of him so I don't have any regrets. One day someone will use him for something I'm sure. And the lack of tech aliens was a concern of mine early on. I couldn't think of a cool one until after the first session, so I decided to introduce him later. Upgrade is also confirmed to be on the list of DLC aliens.

My OC aliens are on the list of aliens that you can unlock, along with some older ones. You'll eventually see all of them because I didn't make too many lol. I might get some more ideas later on so the list could potentially keep growing. I also might rework the aliens that got put in the reject pile.

I hope my boi Vertigoat gets more love next session. His abilities are beyond disgustingly broken if you apply them right.
