Far off, nestled in an otherwise small Japanese town lies the Dark Gate Academy. An institution of tremendous size, the Academy holds a long kept secret. Unknown to the outside world, this unseemly town is home to a tear in our reality. A gate between our world and a bizarre dimension known as the Darkworld. The inhabitants of this hellish world breach this gate and attempt to flood into our reality and spread throughout the world on a regular basis. However, the Dark Gate Academy is home to students of truly extraordinary abilities. The ability to sense the presence of these evil Darkworld creatures, and defeat them in combat, sending them back through the gate.

They cannot close the rift between our world and the Darkworld, but the students and staff of Dark Gate Academy have dedicated their lives to using their amazing powers to hold back the darkness that plagues our world, even if it costs them their lives. They have risen up to the challenge and in secret have become great heroic defenders of the world as we know it.

For many years, Dark Gate Academy has held back the forces of the Darkworld, kept this unspeakable evil contained within their walls in secret. But now, with their existence revealed, a great cloud of change looms over Dark Gate Academy.

>Seven Years Ago

“Saki, what are you doing?”

You turn around to see the massive figure of your grandfather standing over you. A permanent grimace attached to his face, his commanding presence stopping you in your tracks as you walk around the school courtyard.

“Honestly Saki, can't you sit still for a moment,” Wei asks. “Simply because my son is inattentive doesn't mean I should have to take time out of my work to find you.”

“S-sorrry grandfather...” you give a respectful bow. “I... I just got caught up in exploring.”

Wei shakes his head. “You certainly like to wander. I was under the assumption that you would be more disciplined.”

“Sorry...”

“Never apologise twice,” Wei states. “It only makes each apology mean less.”

“Sor-I mean... I understand,” you respond. “It's just... visiting this school is so amazing to me. It's so beautiful, and structured, and... and look at this courtyard!”

“You like the school?”

“Of course I know!” you explains, clenching your fists in excitement. “To know that a place like this exists... and that the people in it are protecting the world... it's amazing! I can't wait until I become a student here!”

Wei pauses. “Saki... you're a Kobashi. Make no mistake, this school is already a part of you. It has ran through this family's blood since the moment it opened. Myself and your grandmother were among the first students, your father and mother attended... and in time, this school will become your home.”

“My... home?”

Wei nods. “I do not live in the family manor, Saki. I live here, on the school grounds. I do not do so out of convenience, I do so out of duty. This is my home, Saki. This has always been my home. And it will always be my duty to protect the home I hold so dear. One day... that duty will fall to you. Do you understand?”

“Y-yes!” you pump your fist. “I understand!”

Wei stands solemnly, as he motions you back inside. “Good. Now, you best return to your parents.”

“I'm not in trouble, am I?”

“Of course you are, don't be ridiculous.”

>Present Day

“Who are you people, and what are you doing here?”

This wasn't something you expected this morning. Just last night, another of the escaped Archdemons was taken down by your class. Now, it seems there's some new trouble on the scene... this time much more human, in the form of roughly forty armed soldiers at the school gate, led by a man in a red beret with a wide, devilish grin on his face.

“A-ha!” the man snaps his finger. “The dragon pattern on that shield, you must be the one in charge around... wait, no. You're too much of a teenage girl to be Wei Kobashi. Who the hell are you?”

“I'm Saki Kobashi,” you respond. “My grandfather is not in any condition to be seeing visitors... let alone those armed with guns. Now, I asked you a question.”

“You asked me two questions,” he responds. “Get it right, I hate when people lose track of the fine details. And I think you know full well who we are... Colonel Goa, representing the elite forces of one General Aoki, servant to the great Zenko Ugaki of Safaia.”

Zenko Ugaki... General Aoki... he dares to put that grin on his face, knowing full well what he's responsible of. A war criminal, a bloodthirsty invader... and while the wars between your neighbouring sovereign territories until now was none of you business, your grandfather's would-be assassin was a machine under their command. Do they think you aren't aware of their responsibility in the principal of Dakugeto's near-murder? Or do they simply not care?

“And we are here on special orders from Aoki himself,” Goa continues, “To collect a belonging of ours.”

>Oh? And what might that be?
>Well, that's not happening. You best leave before we have an issue.
>If that's all you need, why bring forty men with guns? Is this how diplomacy works in Safaia.

>Oh? And what might that be?

"It isn't a what," Ryoji mutters as he stands next to you, his fist clenched. "It's a who."

"A who?" you raise an eyebrow, as you look around to your classmates who arrived at the gate before you did. Ryoji looks angry, and Raiden is a solemn looking as usual... but even Sora isn't his calm, serene self.

Goa clears his throat. "Yeah, that's right. It's a who... specifically Risa Aoki, the daughter of the general. We're under strict orders to bring her, along with her bodyguard Katsuyori, back to Safaia with us. But that's not all... you see, it also appears that from our observations, this school is harbouring civilians of Rubi who illegally fled to mainland Japan during our takeover. We'll be sure to take them off your hands as well... their names... uhh... let me see... dammit, anyone got the list?"

A woman in a long cloak that obscures most of her body and face approaches Aoki, holding out a notepad. It's then that you notice her arms... those aren't gauntlets she's wearing. It appears her arms have been replaced with something massive and mechanical... just like the assassin sent after your grandfather. What is she? Is she even all human?

"Thank you Kage, you're a dear!" Goa smiles brightly as he looks at the notepad. "Let's see... right, we have a Gado Nemoto, Ninsei Marufuji and... Sora Marufuji! Ooh, brothers! Any of those names ring a bell?"

You look to Sora, who hangs his head low. Those disgusting... they're here to collect prisoners, it seems. Nothing more. They don't even know what they look like. And Risa... while the general of this army is indeed her adoptive father, you doubt your underclassman will be willing to leave the academy like that.

"OI!" Goa bangs his sword as the metal railings of the school gate to create a loud clang. "You paying attention, little dragon? I've got it on good authority that those are the names of students in this academy. Am I correct?"

>Yes, they are students here.

"Oh, really?" Goa ponders for a moment, placing his finger to his chin. "Are you sure? Never heard of them at all?"

You shrug. "I don't know what to tell you."

"You're serious?" Goa asks with a tone of surprise. "There aren't any students here named Gado Nemoto, Ninsei Marufuji and Sora Marufuji?"

Ryoji shakes his head. "None that I've ever heard of. You've got the wrong place."

Goa stares at you both, his harsh eyes seemingly doing all they can to cut straight through you. "Well... oopsie!"

Goa smacks his forehead and chuckles. "Our mistake, then! Oh boy, don't I feel like an idiot! There aren't any students with those names! Oh, I am so sorry for wasting your time ma'am. We'll just be on our way. Pack it up, boys! We're heading home!"

... Huh? What... what is her doing? Goa turns around and motions for his men to move back, and they all turn and begin to walk away... until he swings back around. "Oh, but then answer me one thing..." he replies. "It's kinda bugging me..."

"What's that?" you ask.

"Am I retarded?"

"W-what?" you raise an eyebrow.

"Do I have learning difficulties?" Goa asks again. "Am I slow? Dumb? An idiot? Am I incapable of understanding the world around me?"

"N-no...?" you reply in confusion. "I... I don't think so. I mean, I just met you so-"

"THEN WHYYYYYYYYY!" He screams, approaching you closer as he pulls out a sheet. "DOES YOUR SCHOOL DIRECTORY WHICH WAS MADE OPEN TO THE PUBLIC LIST ALL THREE OF THOSE NAMES AMONG YOUR STUDENTS?! WHY IS IT THAT THE NEWS HAS SHOWN IMAGES OF STUDENTS WITH THESE NAMES ATTACHED TO THEM?! WHY DO YOU THINK I WOULDN'T KNOW THESE THING, LITTLE DRAGON?! HUH?! ANSWER ME! YOU MUST THINK I'M RETARDED, UNLESS YOU JUST WANTED TO MAKE ME ANGRY!"

Goa is now an inch away from your face, his eyes wild and crazed. You stand your ground despite the intimidation, until Ryoji steps in with frustration. "Get out of our faces and take a hint. You and your cronies aren't getting anything from us."

"You can't scare us," Raiden adds on. "We have stared down far worse than a madman."

"Who invited gimp-leg?" Goa points at Raiden. "You gonna beat me to death with your crutches? Go find a turkey for Christmas, Tiny Tim."

"Our point still stands," you respond. "We aren't afraid of you and your men. And you won't be getting anything from us."

Goa chuckles. "You seem to think we're storming here to pillage. We're not kidnapping anyone, this is a perfectly legal extraction of our citizens," he explains, as he pulls out another sheet from his massive jacket worn over his shoulders. "Special orders from the esteemed General Aoki himself. We have the documents here allowing it. I'm sure you people might think that your special superhero school is the be all end all, but I'm sure you children don't want to play in global politics. Perhaps we'd get somewhere if I could speak to an actual adult. This school has those, right? Or is this a Lord of the Flies situation?"

>You can speak to me. I am a representative of this school as much as anyone. This is my home.

"That's good!" General Goa exclaims. "We're actually getting somewhere! We're starting a dialogue! Go on, bring her out!"

"We have a Vice principal?" Raiden mutters.

"Yeah," Ryoji replies. "Her name's Namika. Brown hair, confined to a wheelchair. She should be in the office just by the gym. You grab her and we'll keep an eye on this group."

Goa scoffs. "Really? You'll keep an eye on us? Okay, babysitter club. I'm not even gonna touch on you sending hobbly along. If I didn't know any better I'd say you were stalling for time."

"Hey, what the hell's going on here?"

You turn your head, as you see Risa making her way down to the school gates, followed by her new bodyguard Katsuyori. "Someone better explain why my father's men are here," she mutters in an angry tone. "More importantly, why you haven't chased them off yet."

"You've never sounded more like a spoilt princess..." Katsuyori points out.

"Shut up," Risa adds. "I have every reason not to want to see this."

"KATSUYORI!" Goa exclaims. "KATSUYORI, MY BOY! COME GIVE YOUR LEGAL GUARDIAN A HUG!"

"Not falling for that," Katsuyori replies. "Every time, you punch me in the liver. Like clockwork. Ever since I was five."

Goa tilts his head. "Whoa, send him to school for a month and he comes back smart, who'd have thought? Anyway, you two are coming back with us."

Risa turns her head over to her bodyguard. "Kats... tell me honestly... did you know about this?"

"What?!" Katsuyori responds. "No! Of course not!"

Goa smirks. "Well, we both know that's a lie," he explains. "I could show you the messages we've sent Katsuyori as proof, but since it's buried deep in another pocket here it would be great that you took my word for it. Katsuyori knows about everything, we've kept a direct line with him from day one!"

"Kats... is that true?" Risa asks.

"No!" he responds. "Well... yes, actually. Technically."

Risa scoffs. "You're unbelievable."

"But I stopped reading anything they sent after a while!" he explains. "Let alone responding! I swear, I had no idea they'd come marching up here!"

Risa remains silent, staring at Colonel Goa. Eventually she sighs to herself and speaks up. "You work for my father, then?"

"Wow, I knew Aoki keeping her cooped up her whole life wouldn't be good for her brain," Goa mumbles to himself. "It's made her slow, hasn't it?"

"Answer me," Risa remarks. "You work for my father, correct?"

"Yes, that would be correct," Goa responds.

Risa nods. "Then it stands to reason that you are subservient to my family, and will accept my orders?"

"Perhaps."

"Good," Risa replies. "Because I command you to piss off."

Goa bursts into laughter. "Oh wow, she's a smart one! Real funny, kiddo. How'd you learn that, certainly not from your father. I love the guy, but General Aoki is one sour bastard, you know? But obviously we ain't heading back without you."

"Well that's a shame," Risa explains. "As I refuse to go."

"It's cute that you think that actually matters," Goa responds. "Oh, the adults are here! Finally!"

You look back, to see Vice Principal Namika approaching the gate, accompanied by Raiden and the agents of the school. Blue, Green, Akuro... even Agent White has left his office to deal with this situation. Not only that, but Blue, Green and Akuro have guns drawn. This situation might end up boiling over if you can't keep things civil.

"Just so you know, I'm very willing to shoot these guys if they put a hand on the kids," Blue points out.

"Jumping the gun is not advised in this kind of situation," Green retorts. "No pun intended."

Blue shrugs. "I'm just sayin' I've grown attached to the little maniacs, and I'm not taking too kindly to some guy in an ugly hat trying to snatch them."

"Miss Kobashi," Agent White explains as he approaches you and Goa. "There is no need for you to be part of the current proceedings. It is out of line for you to be confronting a government official."

"Damn, Sak..." Ryoji smirks. "Some of my sass is rubbing off on you."

You shake your head. "I'm not trying to sass authority, but I am stating that there's a reason I was more trusted to deal with this than you were."

"Yes, the people of this school turn to the safer more popular figure," White responds. "But at the end of the day you are simply a student. And this is not a school matter. It is a government matter. Neither you nor Ms. Mashita have any jurisdiction on the situation."

"Well... you simply aren't going to give into their demands, are you?" you ask.

White pauses, before looking at Colonel Goa, then back to you. "We will talk through this. Ultimately, there is no need to be brandishing weapons. At the very least, we have no legal right to house Risa Aoki and this Katsuyori. Particularly the latter, he is not even an official resident of this school."

Blue doesn't lower his gun as he tilts his head. "Whoa, are you suggesting we just hand them over?"

"I'm not suggesting anything," White explains. "I have no choice in the matter without starting an international incident. However, the others on your list are citizens of japan with no legal guardianship. By all accounts, they cannot be pulled from this school on any authority."

Goa shrugs. "Look, I could have had more on here. My list also mentions a Taiyo Izumi and a Tsuki Takudo, but that makes no sense because they were registered dead. So I'll chalk that one up to coincidence. However, while it is true that these other boys are not legally citizens... they are however criminals who have yet to be tried in the Safaia judicial system. Look at Gado Nemoto's rap-sheet... burglary, assault, murder of several soldiers and officials... real nasty piece of work, that one. And Sora and Ninsei Marufuji are also charged with the murder of a Major Masahiro Takahashi. I suppose they figured they could escape the law if they just hopped the border, but I am COLONEL GOA, THE AMBASSADOR OF JUSTICE!"

>That's obvious lies. Sora Marufuji wouldn't hurt a fly! These are made up charges!

"No..." Sora mutters. "It's true."

You turn your head towards him as he hold his head low. "Sora...? What are you talking about?"

"What this man says is true," Sora explains. "I was a different person before coming to this school..."

"Regardless," White explains. "What business or illegal acts some of these students got up to in other countries is none of our business. If you're sorry worried about them you would ban them from entry to Safaia, not drag them back. I know the laws under Ugaki. You simply want an execution, and I will not allow that."

"Damn..." Ryoji mutters. "Gotta admit, White. Didn't expect you to stand up for the students."

White turns back to Ryoji and smiles. "You must have a very low opinion of me."

"I tend to have a low opinion of all authority," he explains.

Goa's eyes dart up, looking past you, prompting you to turn around. Dang... it looks like the commotion has attracted the entire school.

Gado quickly approaches as you notice he has a gun in his hand. "That's Colonel Goa. He works for General Aoki."

"A-Aoki?!" Kuin gasps. "Wait, Gado... isn't he-"

"Yeah..." Ninsei mutters. "He is."

"Gado, I would advise that you don't do anything hasty," Anri mutters. "Nothing good could come of it."

You can fully empathise with Gado's emotions right now. You know he has every reason to want to fire on these people, considering his past. But you also know that doing so will only exacerbate the situation. You just hope that Gado can understand why giving into his emotions at this point is far from ideal.

Gado points his gun at Goa, his face straining as he contemplates.

Goa simply smirks. "Go ahead. You think you can get me while pointing that thing in my face? You aren't going to hit me. And when you fail, I'll happily gut you and the little girl behind you."

Goa licks his lips as he stares at Kuin, who hides behind Gado in fear.

"Leave it for now," Ninsei mutters. "You know as well as I do that opening fire won't solve anything at the moment... no matter how much rage I'm feeling."

Gado shakes his head and lowers his gun. "Just know that when the time is right... I'm putting a bullet between your eyes, Goa."

"Ooh, I'm terrified," Goa remarks. "You must be Gado Nemoto, then."

"And you..." Ninsei mutters as he looks to his brother. "You're just standing there. Don't you have anything to protest?"

Sora simply hangs his head low, as you notices tears dripping from his remaining eye. That reaction takes Ninsei aback. "Sora..."

"This is all getting very tiresome," Goa remarks. "Even a crowd is forming. Look, how about we make a simple compromise and be on our way. We'll only take Risa and Katsuyori back with us. You can keep the criminals."

Agent White nods. "That seems the only compromise available to us."

"What?!" Amaya exclaims. "Take Risa?! You can't allow that!"

"Yeah!" Chuichi exclaims. "Risa's part of our family! You can't just let her be kidnapped!"

"It's not kidnapping, she would be returning to her legal guardian," White explains. "As I understand, your living conditions are not cruel?"

Risa looks down. "N-not exactly... but that's not the point! I-"

"I see," White notes. "You'd be willing to start an international incident over a child's rebellious tantrum. If returning a girl to her father is what it takes to prevent bloodshed, then I have no reservations in my mind."

"But... you can't..." Amaya mutters. "M-Maro senpai! S-Saki senpai! Namika-sensei! Say something!"

>We can't allow this, White. We can't allow them to take students from us.

>I'm sorry... this is the only choice that we have. Promise that no harm will befall them, Goa.

"Yeah, whatever..." Goa shrugs off your request.

"WHAT?!" Amaya exclaims. "Saki-senpai! You can't let them take her away!"

"No..." Maro mutters as he steps forward. "Saki is right. We have no other option."

"But-"

"I know you're concerned for your friend," Maro explains. "But I promise she will be okay."

You hang your head low as Goa claps his hands together with glee. "A-ha! Now that that's settled... come along, Risa."

"I... I..." Risa mutters, hesitating.

"I SAID..." Goa stresses. "COME ALONG, RISA."

Risa shakes her head. "No... I can't go back to..."

Goa sighs. "Katsuyori, just grab her and come on."

Risa looks to Katsuyori, ready to defend herself... but instead he steps in front of her. "I'm not gonna do that. We aren't going back."

"I'm sorry?" Goa raises an eyebrow. "What did you just say to me, my boy?"

Katsuyori puts his foot down. "We aren't going back. We're both gonna stay here, okay?"

Goa smirks and laughs to himself as he slithers up to Katsuyori. "Ohhh... I see what happened here. Our little tough guy decided he was gonna grow some feelings. Leave him in with this lot for a month and he grows soft, who'd have thunk? Let me tell you something, son..."

Goa simply backhands Katsuyori, but sends him flying with enough force to send him flying into the nearest wall. "You really are soft."

Wait... the power behind that, the way it damaged Katsuyori... is Goa awakened? How many more of the men brought here are awakened as well? All of them? And most bafflingly of all... HOW?

"You bastard!" Gado yells as he raises his gun again.

"Gado, don't!" Risa steps in, holding up her hands. She clearly recognises the true danger of the situation. "I... I'll go with them."

Risa...

Kiriko shakes her head. "No... you can't just leave with them."

"It's okay," Risa nods. "I promise it'll be okay. Let's... let's not make this any harder than it needs to be."

"Goooood," Goa nods. "Someone pick up Katsuyori's lousy body. I'm certain I broke half of his weak baby bones."

Agent White nods to Risa. "Thank you for being co-operative. I promise we will settle this matter further when we can."

"You won't be able to," Risa explains. "But thanks for the thought."

>Risa, this is incredibly noble of you.

Risa bows to you. "Thank you, Saki-senpai. And... to all of my friends..."

Risa turns to her class who are grouped together in the crowd. "All of you... I know this might sound mushy, but you all taught me the value and meaning of friendship. I was so blind to the world before I met all of you... I wouldn't trade the time we had together for anything in the world. I would do anything I could to protect you all... and now's my time to do that. Amaya, Kazuma, Sae, Hanako, Gado, Tami, Ninsei, all of you... even you, Mio. I love each and every one of you..."

You look to Class 1 and see the looks on their faces. Gado is pissed off, Kazuma and Sae are looking away, trying to suppress their emotions... Mio has broken into full waterworks, while Amaya simply looks shocked and speechless. "Risa..."

"I truly hope that one day I'll be able to see you all again..." she mutters. "Until that day... goodbye. I'll never forget this."

Goa folds his arms. "Hmmm... changed my mind."

"What?" Risa asks.

"Yeah, we should execute the criminals too," Goa explains. "It only makes sense. I'd hate to waste the trip down here."

You're on edge as Goa and the cyborg woman step forward, until a voice booms out from behind you.

"I would advise against that."

You look to see... Wei? Your grandfather! What... what's that stubborn old man doing out of bed?!

"Ah, so that's Wei Kobashi, isn't it?" Colonel Goa. "Well, we were-"

"I heard everything," Wei commands. "And I heard an arrangement made. If you don't leave my home in the next five seconds, I do not give a damn if it causes an incident. I will put your head through that wall. And if you try to harm any of my students, you will cease to be. I will make you pray you never crossed Wei Kobashi. Your five seconds start now."

Goa looks to him, then scoffs. "Fine, come on Risa."

He grabs Risa by the arm and forcefully drags her back, taking her with him as the cyborg picks up Katsuyori's unconscious body. He wakes up and instantly bites her like a rabid dog trying to break free, but only gets knocked out again with little effort.

"RISA!" Amaya screams as she rushes forward. Gado and Sae rush in, having to hold her back as she tries to run into the fray. Risa looks back without a word, shedding as tear as she turns back around and follows. "RIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIISSSSSSSSSSSSSAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!"

Amaya's screams are defeaning as Risa is taken away, down the mountain to the village, and out of sight. You turn around into a solemn hug from Ryoji. "That was rough..." he mutters. "I respect you keeping a cool head, Sak."

You take a deep, sad breath and hug into Ryoji as well, as the agents begin herding the students back. You look to Sora, who has remained motionless this entire time. He walks away in silence, as you notice something has sprouted from the concrete beneath his feet.

Grass?

>Later, at the Class 1 dorms

"How is she?" you ask.

Makoto shakes his head. "It's best not to talk to her now... my sister is inconsolable. But... thank you for taking your time to check on us, senpai."

As you walk away, you look into the dorm lounge. The rest of Class 1 are packed in there, but none of them are speaking. They're simply sitting in silence. To lose one of their own like that... they were like family. Risa was important to them all.

You step outside, and spot your grandfather wandering the courtyard. "You should still be resting."

Wei looks to you. "I'm finally able to move on my own strength again, and you wish for me to laze in a bed? That is not how a Kobashi operates."

"Right..." you mutter.

"Something is on your mind," Wei notes. "Spit it out. You know how much I despise wasting time with hmms and errs."

Bah, Risa'll totally be fine, Kats maybe probably not, but Risa's going to be alright. Her adoptive father isn't gonna kill her or anything. He does love her basically as a daughter, and in the end he has been a pretty caring if somewhat distant father to her, even if he was just a little bit slightly ruthless towards others.

"That's good," Wei replies.

"Huh?"

Standing to your side, Wei places a hand on your shoulder. "Sometimes in life, you'll be faced with truly tough decisions. Decisions where there is no clear answer. Where no matter what, someone will be hurt. But it's our responses to such a thing that keeps us in line. Keeps our feet on the ground. That you can take on this great weight and still have the humanity and empathy to feel guilt... that's what makes you strong, Saki."

"But..." you mutter. "I want to be strong like you, grandfather. I want your strength."

"Who's to say you don't already have it?"

You shake your head. "No... you're able to make all these quick decisions without a single thought-"

"-And you think they don't weigh on my mind?" Wei asks. "Saki, do you still think me a heartless monster. I have a role in this society, as do you... we are the ones who are tasked with protecting others. It isn't always pretty, and sometimes you will be forced to hurt one to save five... but it still weighs on me. Every time. You can't show weakness to your enemies, but you can't pretend they don't exist. You have a heart. It's what separates us from the demons."

"Grandpa..."

Wei looks out over the horizon of the school, the vantage point giving him a look to the town below. "I'm surprised I'm telling you this, myself. My sensitive side died with your grandmother. But you should know... I am proud of you, Saki."

With that, Wei places a hand atop your head and walks on. You slowly turn around as he walks by, working yourself up to calling after him. "Please get some rest!"

"No."

You return your dorm to do some work, take your mind off things for now. Hoshi's light snoring the only sound in the world you can hear as you scribble some notes at your desk. When finished, you decide you need to stretch your legs, and go for a walk around the courtyard.

As you approach the school gates, you see them. A congregation of all of Class 1 gathered by the school gates.

"And just where do you think you're going?" you ask them.

"Nowhere special," Kiriko replies.

"Where?"

"To Rubi. Rescue mission," Roka answer, receiving an elbow to the ribs from Sae. "What?! You think she wouldn't know?"

You sigh. "Come on... I don't need to tell you all the reasons why you can't do something so foolish."

"We fight demons on a regular basis," Kazuma explains. "We can do this. And we won't cause an incident. We'll just save Risa and Katsuyori... please don't try to stop us, senpai. We have to do this."

You shake your head. "You freshmen think you can do this alone?"

"They won't be going alone."

You turn around, to see of your own classmates approaching. Sora, Nariko and Chihiro. "We've already decided to accompany them," Chihiro states. "Their own chaperones on this mission, if you will."

"The time has come for me to act," Sora explains. "I cannot allow this injustice to continue."

"About time," Ninsei remarks to his brother.

Sora turns to you. "Saki... I promise you that I will keep these students safe. Surely you can see our determination. We will come back to you all in one piece... and as it stands, nothing you say can stop us."

"I know..." you mutter.

"I am sorry," Sora explains. "We will see you in a few days... hopefully with Risa and Katsuyori in tow."

"You... you really aren't mad about us doing this?" Kazuma asks.

"I am mad!" you exclaim. "That you would do it without a set plan! Hang on, you people aren't going anywhere yet! I'll ring up Ryoji, together we can come up with something..."

And so, you sit down with your underclassmen and prepare them for the task they've undertaken for themselves. Constructing a clear, definite plan of rescue, you encourage and train Class 1 until you're confident in letting them carry out their mission. From there, you send them on their way.

"Promise me..." you command. "That each and every one of you will come back safe."

"We will," Makoto bows. "See you soon, senpai."

As they take off, Ryoji stands behind you, his arms folded with a smirk. "I'm surprised you're letting them take off like this. Authoritarian Saki might be losing her edge."

"Not at all," you explain. "This is their duty, and I can't stand in the way of that. They have to protect their family."

"You sure about this?"

"I trust them," you reply. "And I think that's the right choice. There's never a clear answer... but this one I'm confident with."

>Meanwhile

"Aoki, sir! Colonel Goa has returned with your daughter!"

Aoki stares at himself in the mirror as he fastens his cape and tightens his gloves. "I told you never to disturb me in my chambers."

"W-well yes, but I thought the news would be-"

"Leave."

Aoki turns back to the mirror as he admires his uniform. Yes... everything is falling into place. His daughter has been pulled away from that wretched place. Now he and his newfound ally can safely remove Dakugeto from the face of the earth... it's only a matter of time according to the voice in his head, filling him with ideas of conquest. He fastens his brooch and admires himself one last time before swinging around. Soon... it will be time for Aoki to strike. After all... a demon is a most powerful ally indeed.

Thanks for playing! We're jumping into the Aoki arc, and next thread will be up later in the week! Stay tuned to the Twitter for more updates regarding the next session!

Also, as we're now only five threads/one arc removed from episode 100, I'll let you all know that for episode 100 we'll be taking a step back in time with a History of Wei special! Think of it as DGA: The First Movie or something.

Thanks for running Booker.

>PQ
Oh shit it's The Conqueror, Class 1 are definitely fucked. Definitely expect some loss of limbs seeing as how everyone in Class 1 got rekt in the Tournament and Isamu only beat a Demidemon with Archangel powers and The Conqueror is even tougher than that. Plus Gado is obviously dead seeing as how harming Aoki at all will make Risa slightly sad and he obviously can't have that ever happening.
>>
>>3099410
Thanks for running, Booker. Well, Class 1 will probably obviously have to take down Goa and Kage, and Aoki/Conqueror will either move on DGA while Class 1 and buddies go on their happy adventure infiltrating Risa's home, or he's going to be the final boss and absolutely fuck them up.

BROKEN PEACE will probably come on out, and I'm ready for Ninsei to fucking kick the milk bucket to trigger it. Also Kats is fucking dead probably too, with some self-sacrifice thing to keep Risa alive, and he'll pull out the real cool one-liner, like "Just doin my job, Princess," or some shit like that.

Mild DGA Movie hype. Time to see actually closer to sane pre-Dreamer Alice, though she'll probably still be a weirdo. Also Chihiro's grand-aunt may potentially make a cameo. Mizuki dragging Wei into antics should be a fun time.
