This quest, as the title suggests, takes place in the world of Dragon Ball. You're playing as a thirty (thirty one) year old man named Tofoo, and will adventure through the story of the Dragonball series alongside characters such as Goku, Yamcha, Bulma, Tien, and many others. Through your actions, you can make significant changes to the story, and perhaps even become the strongest fighter on Earth.

>Rules

At the end of each update you'll have fifteen minutes to vote on options. Write-ins are allowed, but I do reserve the right to veto them.

In the event of a draw, the option to receive the next vote wins

Rolls were once used to determine success or failure. But, due to the rather unpredictable nature of the dice essentially making it irrelevant whether or not you made smart decisions, were fighting outside your weight class, etc, we're going to do away with those, at least for the time being.

This quest sometimes uses music, and this website is not good with embed videos from youtube. So, it may be that you want to open youtube links in a new tab so they start at the right part.

I hope everyone has fun.

Let's rock fuckers

With your friends and family alive and well, and your future son returned to his own time, you can now get down to business in preparing for your next great challenge.

In less than two months, the 25th World Martial Arts Tournament will begin, and you will fight to defend your title as champion. Many of the others that you will face have already shown great power and skill in the recent Cell Games, and you know they'll only get stronger. If you want to remain the champion, you can't take any of them lightly. You'll need to get stronger, hone your skills, and fight with all you've got.

There's also a new challenge in this upcoming tournament, the inclusion of Goku. His absence from the previous tournament has often made you wonder if you deserve the title of Earth's greatest martial artist. If he'd been there, would you still have been the victor? And can you defeat him now?

There's also the Junior Division to consider. You haven't talked about it with Trunks yet, but you know he'll do well if he enters. Kori and Konattsu are far out of his league, of course (frankly, you aren't positive that you'd defeat them in a fight, either), but against everybody else, the only issue will be making sure he doesn't kill anybody.

The sun is up, and the clock is ticking. What will you do first?

>A. Go find Trunks. If he's going to compete, you want to start preparing him as soon as possible.

>B. Go to the Lookout and begin training.

>C. Go to the gravity chamber and begin your training

>D. Find one of your friends (specify)

>E. Write-in

>E see if Trunks would like to enter and train under mr. popo's guidance to prep for the tourney. If so, plan out his schedule and make the first half of tofoo's training be pushing the absolute limits his endurance can take in the gravity chamber as he works on his form. Second half just before tourney is mental and ki training on the lookout as he gets the hand of controlling his power at higher levels like godform.
>>

>Wanting to teach your five year old to use godly ki.

Damn, Tofoo is going all in.

>E. Go get the Dragon Balls
Let's solve the issue of parenthood by abusing our near omnipotent pet.

>A. Go find Trunks. If he's going to compete, you want to start preparing him as soon as possible.

But ask first if he wants to compete.
>>
>>3026041
Whoa no, jeez. I meant first half be physical gains and form imorovement, second half learning to better control his power in his different kaioken techniques including kami-ken.
Trunks just trains with popo on the more basic stuff. Sorry if that wasn't clear but jesus.

Before you do anything else, you want to find out if Trunks is going to enter the tournament. So, upon getting dressed and leaving your room, you make your way to your son's room, finding the door open and the room unoccupied. Sensing for his energy, you're able to detect him out in the backyard, and go outside to find him standing surrounded by a bunch of small, floating disks. Every few seconds, one will face its center toward your son and spray a stream of water. Trunks dodges a lot of them, then throws water balloons in retaliation. Each time he hits a disk in its center, it falls to the grass and goes still.

You wonder if this is some kind of weird toy, or if Bulma made some sort of kid's training equipment. Either way, this won't prepare him to seriously compete in any tournament. Especially since he keeps getting hit whenever a disk squirts at him from the back. He at least seems able to hit moving targets well, but...

Better to give him some direction.

"Trunks!" you call to your son, who ends up taking a stream of water to the face as your voice distracts him.

"Off!" he shouts, with the remaining disks proceeding to drop harmlessly into the grass as he runs to you.

"Hi, dad!" he says as he comes to a stop, looking up at you.

"I wanted to come ask you if-" you begin.

"If I want to be in the tournament?" Trunks cuts you off excitedly. "Yeah! I want to do that!"

>A. Ask how he knew you were going to ask that.

>B. Start by sparring with him to see where he's at.

>C. Invite him to come to the Lookout with you.

>D. Give him some classic Bear School training. Boulders, beehives, mountains: train him for his first tournament the way you trained for yours.

>E. Invite him to the gravity chamber

>F. Write-in

Kek, that D option. That was the best part of the quest but not something I want our son to experience yet.

"Well, we need to start your training," you tell your son. "Come on, let's go to the Lookout."

"Okay!" Trunks shouts eagerly, hopping off his feet and beginning to fly away.

You grab him by the ankle before he gets very far, and instantaneously transport the two of you to your destination, appearing on the outdoor section of the Lookout, right by the gardens that Mr. Popo is so fond of. You release Trunks, and he lands beside you, looking around at the new locale.

"Wow, that was cool," Trunks comments as he steps away from you, continuing to look around curiously.

"Welcome back, Tofoo," Mr. Popo greets as he emerges from the nearby building into the light. "I take it you've come to prepare for the tournament."

His eyes shift toward Trunks, who is rather blatantly staring at the strange-looking man. Popo doesn't seem to mind, but you feel you should probably tell your boy that he's being rude.

"Trunks, it's not polite to stare," you tell your son.

"But he looks really cool," the boy responds, tearing his eyes away from Popo long enough to look at you.

"So, you've brought your son to train with you?" Popo inquires.

>A. That's right, the two of you are heading for the Pendulum Room.

>B. Actually, you were hoping that he would be willing to teach Trunks.

>C. Yes, and you were hoping he could make dolls for you and Trunks to fight

>D. Actually, you've decided to retire as Guardian and give the job to Trunks

"That's right," you tell him. "We're heading for the pendulum room."

"Best of luck to both of you," Popo tells you pleasantly, heading for his workshop to grab something or other as you and Trunks make your way into the nearby building.

Leading your son through the halls, you soon come to the room in question, and open the door to reveal a large, dark room with a single, massive pendulum swinging back and forth over a circle in its center. Trunks stops in his tracks and stares at the massive object swinging to and fro, but follows after you when you call his name, joining you in the circle at the room's center.

"What is this?" he asks you as he resumes his study of the massive pendulum.

"It's a room we can use to travel back in time," you explain. "We can use it to train by fighting all kinds of strong guys from the past."

"Wow, really?!" Trunks asks, all interest in the pendulum vanishing as his excited eyes turn to you. "So who are we going to fight?"

Good question.

>A. Take him back to the time of the Twenty-First World Tournament. He should be able to get a feel for fighting by doing it there.

>B. Go back to your battle with King Piccolo

>C. Take him back to the arrival of Raditz.

>D. Take him to Namek

>E. Take him somewhere else (specify)

I want to get him excited for martial arts, scary life or death situations would probably do the opposite of that
