In the far future, biotechnology advances by leaps and bounds, creating stunning achievements in medical, civil, and military applications. Illness becomes a thing of the past, and genetic modification is as commonplace as cosmetic surgery.

However, like all great advances, unchecked progress and experimentation has led to abuse and corruption. Ultra powerful megacorporations that monopolized the latest biotech have risen to be the great powers of the age, waging secret wars of sabotage, espionage, and deceit to get ahead of each other.

In order to fuel their rampant growth, megacorps develop lethal diseases and viruses, horrific bio-organic abominations, and ever more exotic genetic modifications to both sell to the highest bidder and unleash upon each other.

The rampant proliferation of bioweapons, and the need to contain them, has given rise to a new profession, the BIOWEAPON HUNTER.

You are LEWIS, a Hunter specializing in hunting down biological threats with your T-Doll companion HK!

The last couple of weeks went spent wasting away in a cargo ship, waiting for the time to pass by. Fortunately, you had your own quarters to stay in, rather than the cargo hold, which was something the Boss would have arranged to save a few pennies. You had talked to the captain and crew, but aside from the captain, nobody seemed to really know the true purpose of their mission. As far as they were concerned, they were just ferrying some personnel to and from the Antarctic research post.

The captain himself knew that this trip was chartered by Wesker, and it definitely wasn't just an innocent personnel transfer, but he was smart enough not to ask questions, or at least give too many answers. So not a lot of help on that front.

HK meanwhile was an oddity among the crew, as she would either simply stay in quarters in sleep mode, or stand on the topdeck on constant surveillance mode. It quickly became evident to the crew that she was a Doll, and more than once you've had to turn away a crewman who wanted to "rent" her from you. A life at sea was truly a lonely one in some ways, you suppose.

Finally, though, the massive hunk of ice known as Antarctica began appearing, the thin strip of white bleeding over the horizon. Ahead, you can see a rather small, lonely island with a small knot of buildings surrounded by several ships. That was Port Lockroy, one of Antarctica's few natural harbors and the only functioning port, making it a natural tourist attraction and staging point for expeditions.

Immediately, you could see several cruise ships docked off shore, obviously lugging around tourists. However, what also caught you eye was a couple of what were clearly military ships. One warship and one transport. Must be part of that international investigation team. There were also a few large freighters docked.

"Those freighters are consistent with the data Wesker provided to us." HK reports to you, her eyes glowing in the dim Antarctic light. "There is an 80% likelihood that they are camouflaged Umbrella ships."

Of course. You weren't expecting to be the first one here, anyways.

>Maybe we can sneak aboard one of those ships.

"Well, I think we're overdue for a port call." You shrug. "Besides, mingling with the locals might glean us a little intel. What do you say?"

"Affirmative." HK nods. "Be sure to stay properly dressed, though. The temperature is well below safe limits."

"Yeah, I noticed." You grunt as you zip up your heavy jacket. This place was cold as hell. Actually, probably even colder than that. You take a glance at the docked cruise ships and wonder how people could actually PAY money to come out here.

"My online research indicates that the local penguin population is a large tourist draw." HK explains, as if reading your thoughts. "There are very few places to observe them in their natural habitat."

"I can imagine." grunt.

It's a short boat ride to Port Lockroy itself. The "historical" area of the port was essentially an ancient wooden shack, preserved all these years. However, a little ways over was a small town that had been erected to take advantage of all the tourism. Couldn't be more than a few dozen people living there, but there was an inn, a diner, a bar, and a few other creature comforts that a ship's crew would appreciate after a long journey.

Almost immediately, you could see several scientists, obvious in the bright orange jackets they were wearing, huddled around in the front of the inn. You figure it was supposed to be a new team due to be rotated in, or one recently rotated out of the destroyed research base. Didn't take a genius to guess they were being interned in the port until the whole investigation was resolved.

At the bar, you could see a number of navy sailors taking advantage of its services. Maybe you could loosen up their tongues and pull up a few details.

And finally, on the edge of town, you could see a series of black tents. There were no markings, but it was pretty obvious it was an Umbrella team having set up shop there.

"Lewis, we will have to take our leave soon." HK warns you. "I just received an update from the local weather satellite. There will be a heavy storm in the next few hours and we won't be able to reach the mainland if it hits."

"Got it." You nod.

"Keep an eye out for me." You say to HK as you make a beeline for the scientists.

"Affirmative." HK nods as she hangs back just a bit behind you.

"Hey! Hey there!" You call out the gaggle of scientists, who briefly pause whatever scientific mumbo jumbo they were muttering to each other and turn to you.

"Is there something we can help you with?" One of them asks with a thick accent. European, you figure, but you can't tell from exactly where.

"I was sorta wondering whats many scientists were doing out here. I thought you guys lived in those research bases on the mainland?" You say as innocently as possible.

"Well, that's usually the case, Mr...?"

"Just call me Lewis." You introduce yourself.

"Dr. Mendell." The scientist nods. "Unfortunately, we were due to rotate in when we were told there was some sort of incident at the base. We're all very worried about what might be happening, but the military hasn't told us much except that they're investigating. It's been weeks already, though!"

"I do hope the others are okay..." One of the scientists mumbles.

You wonder if you should actually tell them truth. It could earn you some goodwill, but it might distress them, and this wasn't a good place to make a scene.

"Well, it just so happens that I'm part of the investigation team." You say, crossing your arms. "I was on the way over to check things out myself."

"Really?" Dr. Mendell's eyes widen, and he glances down at the bar. "Well, you are already being far more helpful than these... 'soldiers' here. Is there any way I can assist you?"

"Yeah, I was wondering if there were any kind of points of interest around the research base?" You wonder. "You know, somewhere someone might be able the hole up if they got caught out in the elements?"

Mendell pauses and looks to his fellows, who just silently nod.

"Well, we haven't mentioned this because nobody asked, but there IS something." Mendell pulls a small map out of his pocket. "During one of our survey expeditions, we came across an old cargo ship, trapped in the ice. We weren't able to identify it nor get inside, but we figure it had been out here for quite some time. At least a decade, maybe two."

"If you could get inside, it should provide effective shelter." One of the scientists adds.

"All right. Thanks for the info." You smile.

"If... if you find any of our fellows, please let us know!" Dr. Mendell pleads. "Even if they... didn't make it. We would like closure, at least."

"Sure thing." You shake Dr. Mendell's hand and you take your leave.

"Interesting." HK says as the two of you walk down the street back to the docks."That ship wasn't logged on any map, and it wasn't included in Wesker's data."

"Which means it must have been a recent find." You conclude. "Maybe this Dr. Vahlen was keeping secrets of her own?"

"Inconclusive." HK remarks.

Suddenly, though, you feel HK's hand grab the back collar of your jacket and she pulls you aside into a nearby alley.

"HK-" You start, but HK swiftly clamps her other hand over your mouth.

"Look to our two o' clock." She whispers.

You turn your gaze and you freeze. You caught sight of a very familiar, towering figure clad in black, accompanied by a shorter girl with pale hair. It was HUNK and SOPMOD. The Umbrella enforcers.

If you had just walked a couple more steps, you would have stumbled directly into them.

"Thanks for the save, HK." You whisper.

HK merely nods.

Guess with someone as important as Dr. Vahlen on the line, it was only natural for Umbrella's most infamous wetwork man to get involved.

But the question was, whose side was he on? Unfortunately, Wesker's briefing data didn't have anything on the matter, just that Umbrella staff couldn't be fully trusted.

"All right, we'll wait till they pass and we'll slip past them. Quietly." You tell HK.

"Affirmative." HK nods.

HUNK and SOPMOD walk past the alley. Thankfully, with the rather large amount of tourists up and about right now, they don't even notice you as they trudge further up the street. However, you can't hear anything they're saying over the noise of the crowd and the howling of the ever growing wind.

Finally, you manage to get back to your ship, where the stowed helicopter is prepped and ready for launch.

"About time you got back!" The captain grunts. "The weather's taking a turn for the worse. If you want to get the mainland, we've got to leave NOW!"

"Got it." You nod. "Is all our gear loaded?"

"Already done! Just hop in and you're ready to go!" The captain assures you.

You and HK jog over to the helicopter, and sure enough, all of your gear is tucked away safely in the cargo compartment in the back.

"All right, so where are we headed?" The pilot asks as he starts powering up the engines.

Well, based on what you learned here and what Wesker has provided you, there were three possible search areas.

First, there was the remains of the research base itself. Sure, most of the site has already been picked clean by the UN investigation team, but the might have missed something, and you might be able to pick up Vahlen's trail from there.

Second, there was a secret Umbrella outpost a few kilometers away from the research base that performed... company experiments. Vahlen was very well aware of the existence of this outpost, and would be natural fallback point. However, the outpost was still transmitting and there were no logs for entry. Then again, someone with Vahlen's level of security access could easily doctor the logs, if she felt the need to.

And finally, there was the stranded ship Dr. Mendell mentioned, which lay in between the remains of the base and outpost. It was much closer to the base, and might be where Vahlen could go seek shelter in a pinch.

"Take us out here!" You say, pointing to the mark on your map.

"In the middle of nowhere?" The pilot frowns.

"That is our destination." HK calmly backs you up.

"Well, your funeral then." The pilot grunts. "Just remember to be at the rendezvous point at the coast. I'll be there in 24 and 48 hours. You two don't show up by then and we're leaving without you."

"Good to know." You sigh.

You glance out the window, the blue, choppy seas giving way to an endless white ocean of snow and ice. The helicopter rumbles from the wind and turbulence, but it gets you to your destination soon enough.

"Holy crap." The pilot mutters as the jagged, iced over edges of a cargo ship jut out the ice. "How the hell did that get there?"

"Don't know, don't care." You shrug as you grab your gear and hop out of the helicopter, HK doing the same. "We'll see you at the rendezvous!"

The pilot gives you a thumbs up as the helicopter gains altitude and flies off toward the coast, and not a moment too soon. You see a massive, grey cloud roll in like an avalanche, engulfing you and HK in snow and wind.

"It's advised that you find a way into the ship as soon as possible!" HK yells, having to overcome the howling wind. "I'll perform a perimeter check around the ship!"

"Sounds like a plan." You nod. "Be careful out there."

"I'm always careful." HK assures you. "Estimated time of completion is twenty minutes."

"I'll be waiting then."

You and HK the split up. Your T-Doll companion quickly disappears into the storm, the winds whipping up the snow like a thick fog. You head for the ship, but don't immediately find any clear way inside. Shivering, you scan the parts of the ship that are visible. You could see the bridge of the ship still jutting out of the ice, the windows long shattered. That might be an in. Or could comb the top deck for a hatch you could pop open or something.

Or, if you really didn't care about collateral damage, you could just cut or blow your way straight through the hell. The more direct path.

You keep pushing forward through the wind towards the bridge, but... you start to get a bad feeling. Like there was something directly under your feet. The cracked and strained steel beneath your boots was starting to shake and rumble, but that was only the wind, right?

Suddenly, there's a loud CLANG underneath you and your knocked off your feet, slamming down onto the frozen deck. Dazed, you look at where you were standing and could see a huge bulge jutting out of the deck that wasn't there before.

And then more CLANGS and the bulge gets bigger and bigger, the steel starting to crack under the strain.

There definitely WAS something beneath you!

"HK! HK!" You yell in your radio.

But you get nothing but static. Whether it was just interference from the storm or whether HK was down, you weren't sure.

CLANG.

You've honestly never seen this type of BOW before, and frankly, you don't really want to again. However, you saw that this thing was frighteningly mobile, even in this frigid weather. You were pretty sure there was no way you were going to outrun it in these poor conditions.

And HK was still nowhere to be found.

You quickly draw your rifle. Hopefully it was still operational in this cold weather, but you didn't have the luxury to test. You take aim and...

You unleash a burst of flame in the snake thing's direction. It seems to be afraid of the fire, as it immediately recoils and slithers away in a flash, disappearing into the storm.

Shit, you scared it away, but you were pretty sure it managed to avoid any injury. Given that it looked like it was an ambush type BOW, it could come back for you at any time. Your biosensor would help, especially given how desolate this area was, but this cold was still slowing your reflexes and movement.

"Lewis, are you all right?"

You turn to see HK emerge from the wind whipped snow, weapon drawn, her eyes glowing and darting from side to side scanning for threats.

"I saw your flamethrower activate. Did something attack you?"

"Yeah, there's a goddamn BOW. A fast fucker, too." You grunt. "Shot a burst at it and it ran off. Got a feeling it'll be back though."

"Undoubtedly." HK continues to scan the surrounding area. "It's likely that BOW has made this derelict ship its nest. Perhaps we should head to another point of interest."

"No, we have to sweep the ship. We need to be sure." You grunt as you get back up to your feet. You were starting to feel slow and sluggish now.

"Your core body temperature is below optimal levels." HK warns as she moves to support you. "Recommended action is to find shelter."

"Then it's decided." You nod up to the ship's bridge. "Let's start from there."

"Affirmative." HK nods.

As you suspected, the bridge windows had been shattered and blown out ages ago. However, it still afforded some protection from the freezing wind, which was some comfort.

"Interior conditions seem acceptable for now." HK nods as she looks around. "No sign of the hostile BOW."

"Yeah, well, I'm sure it'll be back." You grunt as you glance at the wall. It was heavily iced over, but you could make out the traces of a diagram of the interior of the ship. That could help.

"Attempt to interface with the ship systems has failed." HK reports. "No wireless or physical connection port detected. No energy sources, either."

"Well of course. It's a wreck, after all." You roll your eyes. You glance at the diagram again. You note that large sections of the ship were shaded in red in hastily scribbled marker, denoting flooded sections. Those sections would have most likely frozen solid, so you could immediately cross those sections off.

What was left was the crew quarters, one of the cargo holds, and the engine room. Judging from the notes, there was something saying not to enter the hold under any circumstances, while there was apparently a panic room hidden in the engine compartment, in case of a pirate attack or something.

Now where to go first....

"All right, the schematics say there's supposed to be a panic room in the engine compartment." You point to the indicated spot on the diagram. "If we're in any luck, Vahlen could have taken shelter in there."

"Affirmative." HK nods. "I can attempt to draw the BOW's attention to prevent it from ambushing you."

"You mean you're going to make yourself bait." You frown.

"I am far more effective operating in this environment than you." HK reminds you. "I will not suffer any significant mobility loss."

Fortunately, as you and HK descend into the depths of the ship, the snake BOW does not attack again. Perhaps the tight interiors made it difficult for a large creature to move around in, even if it was freakishly fast and agile.

Soon enough, you and HK reach the engine compartment. As you push the bulkhead door open carefully, you're almost immediately greeted by another person.

"Why hello there." Dr. Vahlen says in a thickly accented voice. "I don't suppose you are here to rescue me...?"

"Dr. Vahlen." You say simply, keeping your rifle raised. In a situation like this, you could never be too sure. "HK, do a scan."

"Affirmative." HK's eyes glow for a second. "Biometrics are a 99.86% match. Within margin of error. No anomalies detected."

"I vould hope so." Dr. Vahlen sniffs. Apparently offended. "A proper scientist never experiments on themselves unless as a last resort."

You give Dr. Vahlen a quick scan. She was wearing the similar bright orange jacket that the scientists down here wore, along with proper cold weather gear.

"Doctor, we must leave immediately." HK says. "Our mission is to extract you safely."

"Ah, vell, I suppose you are if you haven't killed me already." Dr. Vahlen nods approvingly, but then gives you and HK a wary glance. "Though I must ask, who exactly commissioned this venture? You two clearly are not Umbrella personnel."

"Does an Albert Wesker ring a bell?" You raise an eyebrow.

"Ah, yes, the police chief. An ambitious man. It's quite reassuring honestly." Dr. Vahlen nods. "The ones who desire my untimely demise are those that want to hold on to the power they already have."

"We also encountered a BOW on the way here. Uniquely adapted to this environment." HK speaks up. "Do you have any information on that."

"Ah yes, that's... quite complicated." Dr. Vahlen sighs. "We should go to the safe room. We can speak at length there."

"The BOW is still out there, as well as unidentified Umbrella forces." HK points out.

"Which is why we should be proceeding to the safe room, no?" Vahlen retorts.

"All right, that sounds like the best course of action." You turn to HK. "We're not going to get far in that storm, and that BOW might chase us out there."

"Yes, that is a very real possibility." Vahlen nods. "This way, then."

It's not a far walk, as Vahlen leads you to a thick, steel bulkhead door. It looked more like a bomb shelter than a regular compartment, given the sheer thickness of the metal.

"Intended to keep the crew safe from pirates attempting to break in." Vahlen smiles. "Quite sturdy. Even the Viper King hasn't been able to breach it."

"Viper King?" You frown.

"The BOW that attacked you. It's my... nickname for it." Vahlen nods. "Now, come along, we do not want to be dawdling outside!"

You and HK carefully step through the bulkhead door into the safe room. Vahlen moves to pull the door closed, but HK quickly takes her place, using her enhanced strength to pull the heavy shelter door closed as if it were made of plastic.

"Ah, must be quite nice to have a T-Doll at your command." Vahlen smiles. "I'm quite jealous, really."

"You can tell?" You ask.

"Please, she's made it rather obvious." Vahlen chuckles as she flips a switch.

An electric generator hums to life, and lights flicker on, fully revealing the interior of the saferoom. It wasn't much, honestly. Just a few bunk beds and boxes to hold supplies, though it seems Vahlen added a few of her own... touches to it. There was a small, miniature lab set up on the lone table with a laptop directly hooked into the generator. There was also a large, silver suitcase with the Umbrella logo stamped prominently on the side, the locking mechanism appearing to be a type that wasn't supposed to open easily.

"Well then, I suppose we have a little time." Vahlen says as she sits on one of the beds and hands you a stick of preserved jerky. No doubt from the survival crates. "What would you like to speak about, first?"

"Let's get straight to the point here." You grunt as you cross your arms. "Currently, we're stuck in a derelict ship in the middle of Antarctica, with a giant snake BOW on the loose. Not to mention, we've got Umbrella mercs roving around who may or may not be out to kill you. Mind explaining to us how we've all gotten into this situation?"

Vahlen sighs, but you swear you see her smile just a bit.

"Well, I suppose I can give you the short version." Vahlen says. "I'm sure you know, Umbrella isn't interested in the Antarctic for the climate."

"Obviously." You nod.

"Well, Umbrella's interests here are testing for cold weather resistance for their BOW lines, and the isolation is convenient for containment purposes. It was simply testing various biomods on test mice." Vahlen continues. "But that changed when we found this ship. I'm not sure of the exact circumstances, but many years ago, an Invader attacked it and made the ship its lair. Though, what it didn't count on was the currents pulling it down here. It didn't survive the cold, but the cold preserved its body, allowing me to... collect some samples."

"I take it you didn't tell your superiors." You grunt.

"Do not get me wrong." Vahlen says casually as she sips some instant tea. "Dr. Spencer and Dr. Marcus are remarkable men, but they do have a penchant for... 'appropriating' their subordinates' research."

"And then you decided to create your own personal BOW." You glower.

"Zat was not the intention at all." Vahlen shakes her head. "I cultured some of the Invader cells and injected them into one of our test animals to observe the reaction. I... underestimated their mutagenic properties."

"And it grew into... THAT and broke loose." You conclude.

"Yes." Vahlen nods. "When I realized what happened, I immediately evacuated. I know of Umbrella's secret test facility, but I feared it would be too far on foot, so... ironically enough, I took shelter here, where it all started."

You do note that she was leaving out one little detail...

"Seeing that thing up close, you wouldn't have stood a chance." You nod. "Hell, even a full blown Hunter like me would have cut and run. That thing is on an entirely different level."

"But you are a Hunter, nonetheless." Vahlen looks to you. "If I may ask, would you be willing to... exterminate that creature for me?"

"And why's that?" You raise an eyebrow.

"The specimen is quite valuable." Vahlen huffs. "Even as a corpse, there's so much it can tell us on Invader biology! And... well... as long as it is out there it may kill again."

Heh, smart. Covering both the practical and idealistic angles.

"What are you offering for it?" You ask.

"Hm, yes, mercenary to the end." Vahlen nods. "I'm afraid money is not something I can offer you, but..."

Vahlen looks to the sealed Umbrella case.

"I can arrange for you to... come into the possession of a high grade Umbrella biomod, should you successfully neutralize the Viper King." Vahlen says. "I'm sure you could find uses for that."

You look to HK, you who just stares back innocently.

"You got a deal, then." You nod. "Then first things first. Does it have any weaknesses that you know of? Patterns of behavior that can be exploited?"

"Well, it has an aversion to fire, that much I am aware of." Vahlen puts a hand to her chin as she tries to recall her observations. "It's completely adapted to the cold environment, so it is safe to assume that it is not cold blooded. I also have reason to believe it has infrared based vision, which would give it quite the advantage in these conditions."

"Great, so it can see our body heat." You sigh. "And behaviors?"

"The only consistent behavior that I have seen is that it protects the Invader corpse in the ship's hold." Vahlen explains further. "I cannot begin to explain the reasons why, but they probably are not beneficial to us."

Good, you might be able to use that info to draw out the Viper King into an engagement of your choosing.

"That's about all I can tell you." Vahlen sighs. "I didn't have much time to thoroughly examine it."

"Perhaps it would be more advantageous to engage this BOW when the weather calms." HK points out. "Poor visibility will give it an advantage over you."

"Possibly." You frown. "But there's no telling when the blizzard will let up. We're already probably going to miss our first check in. I don't want to miss the second."

"All right, we better get this done fast." You grunt. "Best way is to assault the hold and draw it out, so that's what we'll do."

"Lewis, I have a suggestion.' HK taps your shoulder.

"What's that?" You look to her.

"If Dr. Vahlen's assertions are correct, then this BOW's vision is based on heat, correct?"

"Yeah." You nod.

"I can deactivate my heat sinks and manually vent the waste heat my components generate. This should increase my infrared signature by several orders of magnitude." HK calmly explains.

"And use yourself as bait." You conclude.

"Correct." HK nods. "That is my purpose as a T-Doll, after all. My construction is more resilient than yours."

"But that thing's fast. You've got a quicker hand then me, too." You grunt. "You can do the opposite, right? Make yourself invisible to infrared?"

"By shutting down nonessential background processes and sealing my heat vents, I can eliminate all infrared emissions for a limited period of time." HK confirms.

"HK, you go do your stealth mode thing." You instruct her. "I think i can stay a step ahead of that snake, but we'll need your aim to nail it."

"Affirmative." HK nods as she slaps a fresh magazine into her rifle.

"Then I suppose I shall stay here." Vahlen remarks. "As you may have surmised, I have limited value in a fight."

"Of course." You nod. "Just stay put and we'll be back for you. HK, let's go."

You and HK exit the saferoom, with HK easily pushing the heavy security door closed again with a loud click.

"Where you like me to go?" HK asks. "According my mapping protocols, there's an upper catwalk in the hold. I can take the high ground if you want, but I won't be able to stay near you for close protection."

"Just stick close to me, HK." You say. "Let's move."

The both of you move through the narrow confines of the ship, attempting to deal with the awkward angle the ship was resting at. You're wary of every creak, every moan the ship made in the wind. That snake could be anywhere.

"HK, anything on your sensors?" You whisper.

Almost immediately, HK shoves you to the side, and in the nick of time as the Viper clawed arm swipes through the door, tearing it off its hinges like paper. HK reacts instantly and dumps her mag directly into the Viper. The creature shrieks and retreats back into the hold.

"Positive hits." HK reports. "No fatality."

"Clearly." You wheeze.

"The BOW has retreated. Shall we pursue?" HK asks. "I currently have five minutes left before my internal temperature reaches critical levels."

Well, then that would mean you'd have to blunder straight into its lair...

"Affirmative."

You charge forward into the hold, now filled with frozen seawater. However, you could see burrows dug into the snow and ice. No doubt the Viper's new warren. You see icy black blood leaking from one of the holes and leap right in. Couldn't afford to let this thing get away, regroup, and regain the initiative.

However, as you enter the hole, the Viper appears again, hissing at you, fangs bared. You raise your weapon but a swipe of its tail knocks you down on your back. The Viper then opens it mouth and literally vomits ice, sealing the tunnel.

"Lewis! I don't have line of fire! HK yells from behind the ice wall. "I'll try to find an alternate route!"

The Viper then continues to stare you down, its glassy eyes staring at you. Was it trying to size you up? Maybe it was wary of your weapon?

In this enclosed space, you weren't sure if it was a wise idea to use your flamethrower. After all, there was the risk of suffocating yourself.

All this talk about kids makes me wonder what the hell Lewis and Carol will go through if they ever get kids. One can only imagine the sheer size of the food bill for a pregnant Carol nevermind the sheer horror of her craving the taste of fruits and vegetables than meat!

Lewis on the other hand would probably be extremely mundane if the cards are dealt right and none of the latent genes decide to pop up.

She probably has the luxury of carrying, or budding at will, though I can see her adopting a less than human form in private to better suit taking care of an unborn baby like that hug monster blob with the child encased in an armoured shell.

And if any of the two siblings have any troubles with the whole fertility crossbreeding issue, I think it might take a multiple attempts at conceiving.

Just pray for the (un)fortunate soul that has to undergo Carol's eight hour lewd shapeshifting extraction process for a suitable 'genetic material sample'.
