First thread: http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/qstarchive/2970242

You spend a few days being taught how to fight by Fukuda, watching her beat other teenagers up in brutal and innovatively shameless ways. This ends when one day you go to her school and notice that she's not by the gates where she usually is. After looking around the campus for a bit you still can't spot her. In fact, you haven't seen many members of the Norths or the Souths around today. You wonder if the two gangs finally confronted each other.
>Oh well, not my problem. Let's go home.
>I'll head to the South's base at the library and see if they're there

You get to the North's base after around a 20 minute walk and see a group of around 15-20 teenagers who look like delinquents loudly arguing. One of the voices yells "Are we just supposed to take this sitting down! Beating up people is one thing, parading them around town naked afterwards is another! I don't care if you pussies are going with me, I'm getting the rest of the gang and heading over there myself!" after this declaration you see the group split into two, three people staying behind while the rest walk off. This is followed by even more people storming out of the cafe to follow the group. You notice that Fukuda is among them and she's holding a wooden baseball bat.

And as long as you stay out of the fighting you can come, but it might be too violent for you kid, so stay safe and try not to get too scared."
You follow the group from behind and eventually they reach the library of the Souths. By this point the group is about 100 in number and you can see at least 30 people standing outside the entrance to the library with more inside. Insults are being heckled at each other and commands are being yelled as some of the teenagers form into groups. It's a weird combination between discipline and the absolute lack of it. Also, this geezer really likes hamming it up. He must have been a chuunibyou back in his day. Maybe he still is. After a bit you get to where Fukuda is and see that her and two other members of the Norths are surrounded by six members of the Souths. You can see a couple members of the Souths and a member of the Norths on the ground, unconscious and with a couple of wounds, but with nothing that looks like a major wound. His yelling, however, doesn't save him, and a couple of minutes later the group of teenagers have either run away from the fight or been knocked out. Fukuda throws a glance at you before saying "That was lucky. Anyways, kid, you need to get out of here, it's dangerous. I need to stay here until this is done, I'm not disgracing our gang's honor."

You tell Fukuda that the back door was guarded but that the people there were knocked out and she begins to follow you to it, the people she was fighting alongside following along. After a few minutes you make your way through the melee and reach it. Fukuda grabs the door hesitantly and after some examination says "I don't think it's trapped or anything, let's go in." before you can ask how or why someone would possibly trap a door, Fukuda and her two friends go inside the library. This entrance goes into a tucked away corner at the back of the first floor, so no one appears to be there. Fukuda puts a finger to her lips and mouths "Be quiet." before beginning to sneak around. You follow her until you see a few people in suits, probably from 17 to 21 years old, sitting down and quietly talking with a boy you recognize to be the person who kicked you out of the library before and possibly the boss of the Norths. Fukuda sees this as well and you can only hear her whisper "Who the fuck are these guys here with the Norths' boss?" You...

Now get out there and fight a little, we wouldn't want to have to hurt your little sister now, would we?" to the leader of the Souths before you hear him growl back in a quiet voice "If you do anything to her I'm killing all of you fucks." The room is silent for a few seconds before the man in a suit just replies with "Alright. Now get out there if you care about your sister." The sound of someone loudly getting up and leaving then echoes throughout the area. You go back and tell Fukuda what you heard and she stays silent for about twenty seconds before you hear her say. "Fuck... have they been playing us all along? The Souths' leader's sister getting attacked is what started this in the first place. Who are those guys in suits anyways?"

You make your way out of the building and hurry over to the site of the battle, Fukuda and her friends following behind. Once you get to the front side of the library Fukuda takes the lead and begins working her way towards the boss of the Norths. After about 10 minutes you see the boss of the Norths, still surrounded by a small circle of empty space that no one dares to enter. Fukuda says "Boss, I've got something important to tell you, I need your email now." before you see her quickly move towards him and swap emails before moving out. You ask why they didn't just talk about it there and Fukuda says "The less people who know about this the better, if we say it here the suits will probably figure it out immediately and we won't have a chance of turning this discovery to our benefit. If they're able to kidnap the man's sister and start a gang war they sure as hell have some moles." as you remove yourselves from the brawl oncemore you see Fukuda's fingers flying across her phone's keyboard. By the time you're out of the crowd Fukuda says "There we go, got something back. We're going to prepare to withdraw and at that point the suits should make their move as well. I've been ordered to set up tails for the suits at that point since they might lead to where Murata's sister is and if we can get her back then we end the war with less fighting on both sides and we should be able to get a peace deal that works out for us in the end in return. You enter through the backdoor with Fukuda and her friends and eventually see the three men in suits sitting around and looking rather displeased. After a bit you hear one of them say "This is over for now, I guess we should just leave. I didn't expect to be the Norths to be such cowards, but all that means is that we're going to have to push this matter further." the men get up and walk towards the back door of the library, your group moving so that they're not spotted. After they exit you wait a moment and follow after them, and luckily they're still within sight. Fukuda and her one of her friends follow two of the men in suits, while the other friend goes back to report to the Norths' leader in more detail, and you follow the last of the men in suits. The route he takes is rather complicated but you just barely manage to keep up with him, eventually finding yourself at a warehouse at the docks. You see the man in the suit knock on the door in a rhythmic fashion and say something before the door opens and he's let in. You can see more people inside in the moment the door is open, so this looks to be either the location of the hostage or their base. You...

She immediately says "I followed the guy and managed to get to some house in the suburbs with all of the curtains drawn and no sign of life inside. What about you?" You tell Fukuda what you found and she says "Well, either place sounds like it could be the hostage's location but we're probably only going to be able to rush one and if it's their base it could end badly. Still, it has a better probability of succeeding than just standing around. I'm gonna talk to my boss, I'll see you after school tomorrow." You are, in fact, very nervous. Although you haven't heard anything about someone dying yet, but it is a hostage situation, someone's life could be at stake here. You tell Nakano and Hikaru and pull them in as backup in order to call the police if needed. Neither of them have a phone, but they could go to a booth if they needed to. After school you leave school with them and see Fukuda across the street, who you walk over to. She glances at Hikaru and Nakano before saying "Friends of yours?" You nod and she goes "Alright, so we're supposed to be surrounding the house in the suburbs today. We happened to know the guy who owns a house two doors down and so we have fifteen people waiting in there who we've had slip in since last night. Another fifteen or so are going to take position nearby, and we're going to rush it at three sharp. If we're lucky, Murata's sister is in there. If we're not, we've walked into one of their bases or something. You can follow me, but don't have your friends come with you, they can just wait at the end of the street and call for help if anything goes wrong. We don't need more little kids getting involved." You follow Fukuda what looks to be a completely normal street in the suburbs before you stop behind a bush and end up waiting for a while. Eventually Fukuda whispers "It's almost time, get ready." and after you ready yourself you see a single teenager approach the front door of a normal-looking red house with a kit of some sort. He fiddles about with the lock for a few minutes before he crosses his arms in the shape of an "X" and points to the window. Immediately all of the teenagers rush out of hiding and towards the house, throwing stuff towards a couple of windows, easily breaking them. They jump in through the windows and you follow behind Fukuda as she climbs through one. You're inside a living room and you can see a couple of younger men in suits, maybe 17-21 years old, seemingly surprised by the sudden attack, attempting to fight off a couple of teenagers each. Despite their surprise they seem to be fighting pretty well, and will probably gain the upper hand in time if they aren't drowned out by more teenagers first. You...

You then hear him saying "If we get the girl back we sell the pot back to them since we sure as hell can't hold onto it, if we fail then we'll trade all this back to them for her, it can't be worth it to give all this up just to get rid of a couple of gangs." You head home and look over the books you got. You're not sure you fully understand them, but you were able to make some weird movements. Cool. The next day you get to school and Sakamoto-sensei tells you that your essay got 3rd and hands you the 2,500 yen in prize money. You now have 22,850 yen (228.5 USD). After that you go back to your seat and go through classes.
When school gets out you're leaving with Hikaru and Nakano when Nakano trips down a few stairs and lands the wrong side up. You notice a few bruises on her torso that definitely didn't come from the fall. Some seem pretty new, some seem about healed. Maybe she bruises easily. You ask if she's alright and help her up. Across from the school you see Fukuda doing something on her phone. You...

As you begin to tail her home Fukuda walks over and says "I'll update you on what happened yesterday, you free?" after you reply "No." she just tells you that she'll talk to you in a few days and leaves it at that.
After a little bit you find your way to Nakano's home. It's nice enough and seems to be a decently sized house with an ok-looking car in the driveway. You look around the house and see that it's pretty dark for the middle of the day, and in the living room see a unshaved man in an undershirt watching television with the lights off. He's holding a bottle of beer and a small thing of soba and some more empty beer bottles can be seen close by. His eyes are red, like he's been crying.
After a while of listening to his mutterings all you can really gleam from this situation is that he got fired a month ago because someone fucked up and placed the blame on him and he hasn't gotten a callback for a job since. After a while he falls asleep. You haven't seen Nakano this whole time, she probably went to her room or something. You spotted the mother once, she simply cleaned up the room a bit, put a cover over the sleeping man, and sighed.

We can ask Fukuda about doing some jobs when she comes. Should also check if there are openings at the school and library.
>>

There aren't any openings at the school or the library. Two days pass and you notice that Sakamoto-sensei seems extremely cheerful that day. Maybe he succeeded in asking Aizawa-sensei out.
That afternoon Fukuda comes around. You ask her about work and she's says "I'll be able to get you something once this blows over, but for now we're in the middle of a war. Oh, on that note, we didn't get the girl back, the trade-off is what's happening. The Norths and the Souths are going to be guarding it to make sure whoever the fuck these guys are find it harder to pull anything, and we're trading all of the pot and money for the sister. Assuming we get Murata's sister back we're going to declare peace with the Souths and we'll be getting about a third of their territory as part of the deal. The boss said I'll be put in charge of that new area too. Considering that I was probably only on the verge of getting a promotion to maybe team leader before, becoming 5th in command after this is pretty damn nice. The hand-off will be happening in a couple of days but it doesn't look like it'll be that important, you coming?"

You head to the library and see the old man sleeping at the desk with a massive pile of manga next to him, the vast majority of it being various volumes of Hajime no Ippo. You shake him a little bit before he goes "Huh?" and goes "Oh, young warrior, you're back. What are you here for." You just say "The trials and the hellish training." before a blank look appears on his face follow by a flash of panic for a moment.
The old man goes "Umm.... yes, the trials. After decoding the Scroll of Trials, I've, I've..." he glances at the manga for a moment before he smiles and goes "I've found a suitable trial! I'll have some leaves fall to the ground and if you can catch five of them before they land I'll accept you as my disciple."
He seems really confident that this is hard but... with the ability of four arms this seems like it's going to be far easier than he intends.

You grab your blanket from the orphanage and go to the old man to take the trial again. He questions why you have a blanket and has a sly sort of smile on his face when you respond that it's not important. After he kicks the tree you spread it out to grab the leaves, but then see the geezer's leg fly through the air and blow up a gust of wind, blowing the leaves away from your catch zone as he grabs some of them with his hands. He then laughs loudly and says "Good try young warrior, but you'll need 10 more years before you can outsmart me."

You try without the blanket a few times and only end up catching three. You try with the blanket and he just kicks the leaves away. Eventually the try has less leaves than it did before and the old man's face shows a mix between being impressed, confused, and amused by your performance.
Eventually he says "Look, young warrior, is it really that important that you learn from me? Why don't you go to a dojo or something."

You thank him before you ask if you're dismissed. He seems surprised and goes "Er, yes, you're dismissed." A few days pass and eventually it's Sunday. Over the weekend your practice paid off and a third invisible arm began flickering in and out of existence while you were practicing. It'll probably take about a week to stabilize with or without conscious practice, so you'll just have to wait for the time being. On Sunday the old man, who's calling himself "Kurosaki-sensei", a name which you're unsure about the legitimacy of, shows you a few movements and corrects you until you have them down. This is mixed in with various posturing, battle-cries, and a lunch break. Overall, he's actually pretty competent. The same day you ran into Fukuda since the leader, vice-leader, and the deputies of the Norths (Fukuda being the lowest ranked of these with her new territory) were visiting the library to discuss the peace since the hand-off Saturday went fine. Fukuda mentioned that they would have some odd-jobs available now since everything settled down if you were still interested.

Final distribution:
-2 on friends, -1 on exercise, -2 on practicing your powers, -1 on practicing kanji after school, -1 on reading [folk tales/manga]. Writing flavor now.
>>
You spend as much time as you did making friends before, making it so that you're actually pretty well-known across the first grade and possibly the most popular person in your class. This, however, has drawn some ire from the traditional 'popular kids' in your class, and they may be up to something.
Also, Hikaru is actually acting friendly now and since he's always with you has received some decent payoffs due to the fact that you're popular. Good for him. He still has to carry your stuff though.
Nakano has seemed oddly intent on studying in the past week, and when you asked her why she only said that her mom wanted her to. Well then.
Sakamoto-sensei seemed really giddy for a couple days this week and you've seen him talk to Aizawa-sensei a lot, so maybe they hit it off.
You spend some time exercising and can tell that you're probably slightly more fit than the average six year-old girl. If you keep this level of exercise up over the years you won't be anything special, but you'll probably be relatively athletic.
You practice with your powers and see if you can fly yet, but at this point it doesn't really seem possible yet. If you had more arms or they were stronger, it would be feasible. After figuring this out you spent your time...
>Focused on producing more arms
>Seeing if you could make the arms visible to others at will [as in specific people/all people on purpose, not visible all the time]
>Tried to change the size of your invisible arms
>Tried to see if you could make more delicate movements with your arms
>Other [if feasible]
[Note: Immediate results are not guaranteed]
You continue practicing some kanji after school and reading and make more progress in advancing your reading level. You also confirm that Sakamoto-sensei did succeed in asking Aizawa-sensei out and that their first date went pretty well. Good for him. You read through some children's folk tales and start reading Slam Dunk, Hajime no Ippo, and Dragon Ball, as recommended by Kurosaki-sensei. He described them as "tales of true warriors", and you agree for the most part. Plus, there are cool fights and stuff.

The zippo lighter probably wasn't what you'd choose, but hey, Fukuda seems to like it and it'll probably hold up. Also, the clicking noise it makes is really cool. You thank Fukuda for it and put it in your pocket.
You ask Fukuda how her parents know she's in a gang and she thinks for a moment before going "Well, I told my dad that I was joining a gang one day acting all rebellious and he just went 'Alright, you can join it, but if you don't become a leader in it I'm going to make you go through some harsh punishment.' and then started coaching me on how to fight. My mom didn't really care that much and mostly just went along with my dad decided." she pauses for a moment before shuddering and saying "I'm probably pretty lucky that I got a big promotion when I did, otherwise that 'harsh punishment' dad mentioned probably wouldn't have just bluster."
After that you ask Fukuda about her father serving in the JSDF and she says "Eh, well, he didn't serve in the military for too long after I was born, he retired from that when I was... eight I think? Maybe earlier? Apparently he was part of some special-ops squad and as a result had a lot of special training, but I've never gotten too many details about it. Occasionally he'd be gone for long stretches of time when I was a kid but he'd usually bring back souvenirs when he came back to visit, often foreign stuff. I still have most of them. You can tell just by looking at him that he's been in the JSDF to be honest, he gives off this ridiculous aura and is built like a tank."
After that you ask Fukuda about paintball and she says "Ah, well, you see, I play paintball and laser tag around town sometimes, Kenji and Kimura are my friends from that. I do under-18 tournaments pretty often, and bring them along as part of my team. They're not the best but they're pretty good as far as teammates go." you then see her eyes blank out for a moment before she shudders and says in a neutral tone of voice "But I'm never playing paintball with my dad again. Ever. To summarize it simply... it reminded me of what those soldiers in old World War II documentaries probably felt like." She sits still for a few seconds before she seems to snap out of it and goes "We could play sometime if you want, although I'm not sure if the places I go to have gear for a kid. I'd have to figure it out."

You're not sure what that's about, but it was pretty cool. Fukuda seemed entertained and sorta tempted by the drums but rather bored by the old-style Japanese singing with no instruments. You head over to the food section and see all sorts of questionably healthy festival food. You go around with Fukuda as she insists on buying food for you at multiple stands as thanks for the help. And she keeps eating... and eating... and eating... and oh god you're getting full, how is she still eating. How is she in such good shape when she eats that much. You say...

You tell her that the kids in the orphanage are afraid of you because weird things happen around you and she thinks for a moment and just goes "YER A WIZARD HARRY." You vaguely get this reference and she then pats you on the back and goes "Alright then, I'll see you again sometime. Stay safe." before taking her leave. You head back home and sleep for the night. The next day you head to school and.the atmosphere feels... off. You go to talk to some of your friends and see that only about 30% are actually responding. The rest are ignoring you. A few if the "popular" girls are staring at you across the room and giggling. You...

You successfully establish the "Morales Committee", making yourself the leader, making Hikaru and Nakano your deputies. They don't really understand what the point of what the group is, but you dress it up well under some talk with multiple meanings and they accept. Using the "Immoral behavior of several classmates in an act of slander." as your excuse, you manage to recruit 8 more kids into your gang, making your final count of members 11. You surround them in a group and deliver a speech filled with various claims about bringing them to justice and about how the dark will be cleansed by the light and yada yada yada. They seem pretty scared and tell you that they'll end it all tomorrow. You and your group are happy, but... you'll probably have to find something for them to do now or they'll just fall apart. While you think about what you want to buy at the book sale you make your way up to the second floor which currently isn't blocked off (likely due to the end of the war). You see Murata sitting with his friends up there and go over to him. You go up to him and he notices you and goes "Eh? Oh, you're that kid that's been with gramps lately. What'd you want?" you ask him how to properly run a gang and he thinks for a moment before going. "Well, when running a gang you need to do a few things. You need to have a goal, benefits, discipline, and a clear hierarchy. If there's no goal to a gang it will lack direction, the members won't care, and it will fall apart. This can be either vague or direct, it just needs to exist. If there aren't any benefits, there's little reason to join the gang. This is usually established by having some way to make profit where part of it is split among the members, like protection fees. Privileges of some sort can also help here. Discipline and a clear hierarchy are connected. A clear hierarchy tells who who needs to listen to who and discipline gives it authority. Without discipline you can't run a gang. You have to have rules and a bottom line, and anyone who violates them has to be 'dealt with' to keep any meaning in these. Last but not least... there's a base? A good base goes back into the benefits thing, but a gang doesn't really have authority without one. It also makes it easier to delegate tasks and gives a clear place to put profits back into. Anyways, why'd you want to know?"

They have a Gameboy Advanced and some games for it as well. You look around at the clothes and see that there's some decent clothes that could fit you (which would be nice considering that the orphanage gives you... some pretty rough clothes, and most of them look the same. It's a nice place, but the funding isn't abundant.) as well as some decent dress and tennis shoes. There are also lots of silly hats. Where did he get all of these? Among the odds and ends you see some board games (one of them comes with various manuals labeled stuff like "Monster Manual" and "Player's Handbook" and stuff), some weird hats, and various knicknacks. There's even a bokuto scattered among all of the stuff. You look around and notice that there's a second room, but before you can enter the shop owner just says "Stop, stop, that room is for the adults. There are things beyond your understanding in there." You stop yourself from opening the door and look around.

The gist of it is that there will be a single elimination bracket and people can enter with a fee of 500 yen for a chance to win a prize pool of 400 yen per contestant (the rest of the fees are reserved for running the event). This is clearly a great idea and nothing could go wrong. You...

You open the tournament to both 1st and 2nd graders. You don't really know many 2nd graders, but you have time, they'll heard about it by the day of the tournament. You make the rules MMA-like, forbidding weapons and hits to the eyes and crotch which... actually hurts your chances of winning, doesn't it?
After school you tell Kurosaki-sensei about your idea and he's excited. REALLY excited. He accepts immediately before pacing back and forth and muttering about things to himself. You see him writing things down excitedly and occasionally crossing them out, thinking harder than you've actually ever seen him think. After a bit he asks if you've decided on a venue yet. You...
>Tell him that you'll have it at school or something, it's a school thing, right
>No, you haven't

After that he asks if you mind if he sets up a second "division" for the tournament to be held after the first one. After all, he'll be able to quickly get in contact with members of at least two gangs of high schoolers, there would be plenty of people looking to decide who's strongest. It'd be fun to watch too.
>Sure, why not
>Sure, but i'm taking a larger cut of the entry fees than 20% for them
>No

But the rules have to stay the same, otherwise it wouldn't be your tournament anymore

You tell him that you'll hold it at the school or something and the other division is fine as long as it holds to the same rules. Kurosaki-sensei raises his eyebrows quizzically and says "...Where are you going to hold a battle for the ages in your school? If any of your teachers find out you'll probably be suspended. I can get mats and such from a friend of mine for the tournament so the venue just needs to be large enough to hold everyone, but anywhere like that at your school would have a teacher find out about it, right? And if you had to be secretive that would ruin the atmosphere."
>Uh... ok, we'll hold it somewhere else, do you have any ideas

Kurosaki smiles and says "Heh heh heh, I have just the place young warrior. Follow me." You follow Kurosaki through the library for a moment before you're at a door that says "Employees Only". Kurosaki opens it and then says "Follow me".
You follow him through a rather dark set of stairs and eventually find yourself in a very large and rather empty room. The lighting is so-so and you can see various pieces of furniture, lots of filing cabinets, and some bookshelves pushed up against the walls. Kurosaki says "This basement used to be a storage area before we used it for a swing dance club for a while. Nobody uses it for anything, so once I move around some of this stuff a bit more, maybe get some more chairs, and place down mats and stuff, it'll be the perfect place." You reply by saying...
>Are you going to do that all by yourself?

Kurosaki thinks for a moment before replying "It's an activity where a bunch of middle aged old women with no hobbies and no hopes in life gather together, gossip, and dance badly." You say...

Kurosaki immediately goes "Probably not, but the other random employees at the library don't really give a shit and my superior is loathe to do anything coming here because of the Souths and the fact that I don't think he likes me for some reason. Maybe he's just envious of my youthful spirit." You reply with...
>I can't figure out why he'd dislike you at all Kurosaki-sensei.

You say "I can't figure out why he'd dislike you at all Kurosaki-sensei." even though you definitely have a few guesses as to why that would be, and Kurosaki just shakes his head with a look of pity in his eyes before sighing and going "Some people just can't deal with others being happy."
You ask Kurosaki if he's going to do all of the work by himself and he laughs loudly and says "Of course not, I'm not going to move anything! I have an entire gang residing here for free, if I can't force them into some free labor I'm doing something wrong." You...

You go back to the orphanage and read through more SHEALOKU HOLMSU. Uh, you mean, Sherlock Holmes. You're pretty much done with the book and you've really enjoyed it. You feel like you'll have some marginal advantage if someone tries to commit crimes with cliched mystery plots or anything of the like.
>Date: Sunday May 30th, 2004
You practice your martial arts with Kurosaki today for longer than usual. He seems very enthusiastic and tells you that "You better get at least second or third place" or his school will be dishonored. Ok then.
Afterwards he comes up to you and goes "Alright, I got a couple of things you'll need to decide on about the tournament. The gangsters are going to have their own 'rep' stuff involved with who wins, which is fine, but they'd prefer higher stakes. You'll be able to actually get more people to fight by making them pay more. It may not make sense now, but it's just part of a warrior's honor. So, can the entry fee for them be raised to 2000 yen a piece, with the prize being 1600 per contestant."
>Sure
>No
>No, we'll raise it to 3000 yen!
>Other
After that he says "Besides that, they're definitely going to gamble on who wins. Should I hire someone for the night to take care of that so that we get a cut from fees and make sure that it's done orderly and that there isn't a commotion, or should we just let them do it among themselves."
>Yes

After you're done discussing some of the details with Kurosaki (although you feel like these may not be the last ones), you're left without much else to do for the day. You...

You go to Nakano's house and knock on the door but nobody answers. The car isn't in the driveway and the lights in the house all appear to be off. You're about to go back when the door slowly creaks open and you see Nakano's mother, her eyes red, hair in a bedhead, and dressed only in a t-shirt and her panties. But.... it's the afternoon, isn't it? Are people still like that at this time of day?
She stares at you for a moment, blankly, seemingly not comprehending what's before her until you clear your throat and she seemingly snaps to attention and goes "Nakano isn't here. Go home." and slowly goes to shut the door. You...
