This is a freeform nation RP. There are few rules:
1. Don't be a dick or overly OP
2. Inspite of the scale try to roleplay stuff

Now to some technicalities. Planets work like they usually do, hubs you can colonise, each dot is a star system you can describe to your hearts content. To "own" the void you actually need to regularly use and exploit it, space is to big to just claim and hope it's left alone.

Also if you want expand into the danger zones or start there give a lore reason how you survive there.

Everyone welcome to join. I'll try to be active OP and throw shit at you from the void. (purple blurb is the nation I'll post and play, also demonstration of political map mode)

From their tiny frozen capital Thral'mual the Union of the Thralelf rules it's nation, a shadow of a once mighty Empire.

The Thralelf are a simple people as smart as their Cousins the Dwalrfmer Once enslaved and doomed to eternal work in mines, grew pale, blind and crooked. As the Dwalfmer spread trough the stars so did their servs with them, eternally useful for working in dark cramped places and underground.

On Thral'mual was it where among alien artifacts they found the Chitn an insectoid race or rather animal, techsavants like none-other, but by nature just buggs digging underground.

One day the Dwalfmer were gone. As if spirited away and it was from Thral'mual where the Thralelfs set out again into Space inspite of lacking technology to do so. Their newly tamed buggs fixed up old ships and so the Thralelfs set out on the journey to unite their kind as they in fear await the harsh return of their masters.

The humans of Voldras have been plagued by a toxic mineral for a century. But while a dangerous material, It also proves quite versatile, as it leaches other minerals from deep within the earth, which can be smelted and separated fairly easily an also can be used as a power source. It is known as, Tiberium

Wars raged between the governments of the planet, and a pseudo-nation, pseudo-religious transhumanist organization known as The Universal Brotherhood, lead by a man named Kane who came to this world along with the mineral nearly 100 years ago.

After the wars ended, and The Brotherhood took the last bastion of organized resistance. With the Brotherhood now in total control of the world, They looked upwards to the stars. So many worlds could be turned into glowing gardens of Tiberium, and many aliens to be told the words of eternal brotherhood, the technology of peace, and if not, well, the motto of The Brotherhood is Peace Through Power...

Based out of a Binary Star system, the CII are invested in researching and discovering the secrets of the Universe. To this end, they took over a small section of the universe with some of the more practical of their discoveries, and began harvesting the large amounts of resources in the surrounding star systems. While highly advanced, they are far from unified, with different agendas and focuses present across the entire fleet.

The CII is made up of hundreds of different races, mostly picked up from research bases, and tempted away by the state of the art labs and workshops the CII Exploration fleets have. However, most of their grunt work is done by vat grown clones, controlled by the last Biological Hivemind, which calls itself Trill, who was found floating in space, and now travels with the main fleet.

The Research Grant Council runs the various fleets, assigning funding and personnel, and deciding on which projects the whole fleet should focus on. A project chosen will receive more funding, and more resources, and other projects that could benefit the main project also benefit. Trill has a seat on the Research Grant Council, and was recently the Chairman, till its term of office ended. The Current chairman is Zenedar Brax, a cybernetic being who has replaced his body over time to stop it from dying, before beginning to grow replacement brains for himself, and transferring his consciousness between them.

Currently, the main project is the study of a large, multi-star pulsar field, with the intention of harvesting energy and rare elements from it. A side project has been trying to work out a machine capable of triggering a pulsar state in a star, mainly for purely scientific interest, but military applications have been noted...

We were once lesser. There was a time when our world, Carcosa, was given over to the unworthy. It was yet untouched by the old ones but still corrupted by their greedy paws. They pillaged our world of all of it's resources while forcing our ancestors to work in their mines. It was in the darkest corners of the earth that the First Apostle found the Yellow Sign and spread them among the slave caste. Our ancestors soon saw the wisdom of the King in Yellow but our betters saw differently. They were of our blood but they rejected the Yellow Sign and in their arrogance, they attempted to stamp us out. We forced to more drastic measures...

I remember the day so vividly that the First Apostle gave himself so that our people could live one. I was but a simple acolyte who not yet dreamed of the future the King in Yellow had in store for me. He sacrificed himself along with millions of our bothers and sisters so that we could open up the gate to Hastur's realm. His glorious radiance spread throughout every crevice of our planet changing both the landscape to match his realm and the non-believers to match his creatures. We have never been far from our savior since then and his influence on not only our world but our galaxy has grown to match.

The thick nebula-like cloud that spread out from the rift when his radiance was summoned spilled out from our planet and across the space directly surrounding our planet. This Shroud is a direct conduit for his influence which while comforting leads to creatures better left undisturbed and sights that can drive lesser acolytes mad instantly. Those outside our society call it the Shroud of Whispers in their ignorance and destroy the ships that leave it. For even the non-believers are drawn to Carcosa when they hear the whispers of the King in Yellow and few choose to leave when they arrive. Long has the day been foretold to us by Hastur when we would leave his paradise and carry out his will across the stars. It's finally time to spread the good word across the galaxy whether they are willing to accept it or not.

Hailing from the warm oceanic world of Liuthi, the Cherenni are a quasi-reptilian humanoid race.

Officially, their state is ruled by Emperor Jioshin XIV, and has been for the last 329 Liuth-standard years since his placement in carbon stasis. His heirs and their successors are themselves long dead, and so official governance has been carried out for the last three centuries by the Heitorarchal council, derived from what was once the Imperial Harem and now constitutes an elected body comprised of members from constituent states and worlds who derive their authority from symbolic 'marriage' to the preserved Emperor.

The Cherenni have always looked for new horizons, from their earliest days crossing the seas of Liuth to found new kingdoms and republics on the many island shores. Now, space is the grand frontier, and the Cherenni are spilling out into the galaxy, setting up new colonies such as Tentemi, a verdant world of jungles and oceanic swamps at what is believed to be a fringe of galactic navigation, and Luras, a world of high mineral and industrial production that is kept fed by the immediately proximal harvest-world of Bethoth. To the galactic north of Cherenni space, the worlds of Osas and Vebui lie on the frontier of what the Cherenni call the Tarthun Zone, a dangerous region of hostile species, and plasmic and gravitic phenomena. Vebui is a beautiful oceanic world, one of the first Cherenni colonies, whilst Osas is a harsh, cool desert planet considered only marginally habitable, but serves as a system-wide training ground for the Cherenni Stellar Navy.

The Chief of the Thralelf's Lyrhis Agarfelis petted is pet Chitin which which was slowly translating an old Dwalfmer map into shapes the blind race could understand. The isect slowly worked on it uncovering planets where Thralelfs still might dwell underground. Suddenly one of the old Dwalfmer listening machines picked up a signal, sounds and speaking they did not understand, neither in their or the tongue of their old masters. None knew how to answer the call, but the Chitin plugged it's mandibled into the machine and soon guided the old Thralelf's hand to a spot on the map. A small ship with gifts was to be sent to the location.

A fishin vessel was soon chosen a small ship, but well armed and small. It looks like a monstrocity glued together from multiple ships, scrap metal and held together by Chitin plates and growths. Ship is sent to you >>2962020

And additional armada of such crappy ships was sent to Dwelfa'tapa the former capital of the Dwalfmer. Not it merely the remnants of a Dyson Sphere slowly collapsing into the star. The Thralelf's hope is that importing a sufficient number of Chitin will be able to save the sphere and later Thralelf's can inhabit and explore the former home of their masters.

Upon seeing the strange ship, the Greeter, an official position, is sent out to contact the strange, primitive looking ship. Scans are taken, and Trill is annoyed at how bodged the bio-components are, from it's view from a command thrall. The Greeter, a low gravity amoeba like creature called Hilk, is distinguished for being able to travel in vacuums, and being the size of a small shuttle. Hilk floats towards the strange ship, emitting friendly sounds, and broadcasting pictures of a figure pointing at the CII logo, then at itself. The figure looks like a Chitin, since that seems to be the main life form onboard.

The Adonites were, originally, a species of pastoral tribe herders on their lush homeworld of Zraxis, Zraxis is a planet about the same distance from its sun as Earth is from Sol however the sun of Zraxis is a type A main sequence star, over twice the size of Sol and far hotter. Zraxis as a consequence is hotter than Earth and all life on the planet has evolved to deal with that fact. The planet is very dry but there was immense reservoirs of water below the surface that could be extracted. The last age of pre-spaceflight civilization "The aqua revolution" was a global effort to extract water to the surface of the world and teraforming their world into one of extremely lush steaming jungles. The modern state of the planet is one of lounging, philosophy, achieving a mastery of their fields & skills and generally living life knowing their ancestors made things perfect for them. (pic related: Lounging) Being content the population would've been happy to stay in their self-constructed cradle but the (literal) cosmic winds had other plans. After their planet was devastated by a burst of solar wind the people realized that remaining here for eternity would doom them all to fiery extinction. Expansion into nearby star systems was a goal. It triggered a social nostalgia of the aqua revolution. "If we could turn this nightmarish desert wasteland into a heavenly garden world than we can damn well do the same to other planets."

And so the colonization effort began. [Timeskip] That's how we get to where we are now.

With the arrival of an alien probe the Adonite people were left in a state of troubled pondering. True, the existence of other sapient races in the galaxy was well known but the notion of ever actually having to interact with them was an idea dismissed as being for future generations. The arrival of spittle probes into Adonite space shook everyone. into action as they dissemble the probes to see the technology inside only to discover that it stuffed fully of snack food and a cassette tape of squeeky voices screaming praises to 'the tallest', a being that was surely their deity. Truly the little green aliens thought in ways the Adonite people lacked. To the Adonites, the Irkins were horrific. They appear to be dangerous savages with seemingly random obsessions. How such a species ever achieved civilization in the first place is a mystery. Adonite council unanimously agree to keep interaction with the lunatic civilization to a silent minimum of trade lest they set off the insane race with an unknowable insult.

Perhaps the other nearby civilization. The 'Society of the yellow sign' will be less....Disturbing in nature.

>Send out more colonist to the "Space Fauna & Flora" part of space to import & research the exotic alien creatures. Very few things quite capture the adoration of the Adonites like the collection of new exotics.

>Construct solar panels around the home star as a preemptive means to give our homeworld shade.

To the southwest of Irk a huge planet with an extremely high density of minerals is discovered and subsequently named Mineralis, efforts to mine the planet begin immediately while to the northeast a planet suitable for building a zoo is located, henceforth known as Animalia. > The binary system of Utho-Cheft was already under survey by the time of this contact, but it was the contact itself that pushed the colonization of this binary forward. Whilst the system's rocky worlds were possessed of minor mineral riches to exploit, the true prize were the interaction of the stars themselves. At the gravitational intersection point between the suns, the Heirorarchy began construction of a vast generation station to collect and process energy and stellar matter into starship fuel.

the Adonite colonisation effort goes well in the northermost part of their new land they notice a creature they have not seen before. Usually the critters which live in space resemble dolphins or other fish feeding on the megafauna sporuting from lone rocks in the void feeding of background radiation, but what they saw were creatures of size coparable to small spacecraft and unlike most such creatures, they were herbivores living in herds. It was discovered that they were easy to tame, farm and produced a lot of food and useful materials. if you can indicate which systems or void spaces are for the creation of the ultradense alloy would be nice I could then put an icon on the map.

> Thralelves
Uppon deeper inspection they notice the actual complexity of the ship as it somehow makes 2 different types of technology (Charachit (Chitin creators and Dwalfmer) work together as it's being woven together by biological components and held in place by simple rocks.

The Thralelf brain is unable to percieve the strange message beyond understanding the psychic nature of Hilk and his friendly intentions. The Chitin being simple animals albeit techsavants don't get what is going on either and instead merely act as if it was their breeding period.

Not understanding the Greeter, the Thralelves mistake it for a freindly animal and if he comes closer throw him some food, but otherwise continue undisturbed on their journey towards CII space.

In the wake of the rift's opening, Hastur seeded many progeny throughout Carcosa within our former slavers. Great beasts of flesh, tentacle, and beak that clawed their way out of their host's corpses. Some too horrible for the mind to bear without breaking. There was a time before we had truly grasped the power offered to us that we were forced to battle his children for our own survival. In time, we learned Hastur's teachings and were able to live among them peacefully... More or less... The Society now looks to truly tame the greatest of Hastur's servants. The Byakhee were once intelligent inhabitants of a city drawn into Carcosa after the rift, an experience that drove the species mad. Bat-winged, black-furred, iron-beaked and with fiery red eyes, these beasts can not only survive in the cold vacuum of space but also carry riders alongside it's back. It has been determined that they will be first servants of Hastur that we will call into our service in a ritual for the ages.

1) Begin taming Byakhee and training them to serve as interstellar mounts for both general travel and space combat.

Our greatest advantage on the intergalactic stage is the unique source of our powers. The Elder Ones have many secrets they have yet share with us but many of their elder runes and dark rituals have been revealed to us. Now it is our turn to spread these secrets among our flock so that we may find those suited towards these dark pursuits.

2) Begin researching possible spell-casting through calling upon Hastur. Create a unit of acolytes trained in this if we already have this capability.

-----------
I wasn't able to get online until just recently so I missed the first turn. If it is alright with the GM and the other players, i'd like to post both actions for last turn and this turn. Feel free to ignore the bottom two if this is not okay.
------------

I, myself, have learned the most from our glorious king but I can still sense there is still so much left to learn. I will devote myself at the altar of Hastur so that I can truly learn of his wisdom and become a force to be reckoned with.

3) Turn the Last Apostle in a magical hero unit. Focus on spell-casting and research.

Our arts have positively flourished since we found our calling and there are now truly many great pieces of exaltation for one to choose from. One of the greatest is the namesake collection of stories that the First Apostle found so long ago bound in flesh. "The King in Yellow" shares not only our savior's name but his charisma when it comes to converting the lost.

4) Begin mass-production of "The King in Yellow" in various languages. Attempt to crack xeno languages so we can produce versions in that. Look into producing copies in formats other than print.

Slightly baffled by the reaction of the creatures, a new attempt is made, this time wideband broadcasting of sounds and lights, all designed to imply greeting, specially constructed by the various neuroscientists for the various forms of life.(Think subliminal messaging, but where its only that, so anyone who sees it thinks "I'm being greeted"). Hilk broadcasts this a little bit more, and sees what happens.

Meanwhile, construction begins on the first satellite to properly orbit, and hopefully "harvest" the Ultra-high-energy cosmic rays from the Pulsars, the electromagnetic shielding protecting them from the intermittent radiation. A prototype is built and thrown into orbit, containing a single habitation module for repairs and maintenance, a large collection turbine, and around 20 huge batteries. If it works, it should produce enough energy to run a full fleet for years in a few days. If it doesn't, we'll get some interesting results.

We've exhausted several of our chief mining fields to produce this. The exploration fleet will go out and find some new grounds to establish in. Several Fleets will seek to establish new mining fields in the larger void areas to galatic north.

The foundation of a colony on a bio-rich world and the subsequent discovery of the awe inspiring nearby creature that surf the cosmic tide grip the Adonite people with wonder. We have only pierced the surface of what such space could hold is the prevaling view from the outpouring colonists. As the domesticated beasts are quickly dubbed 'Star skimmers' for their method of locomotion through space are brought into the hands of Adonites who soon use them as cattle and simple spaceships for short travels between inter-system planets.

Action 1: A brilliant Adonite biologist begins to work on unlocking the secrets of the Star skimmer's solar fins in a bid to revolutionise solar sails as a whole by inventing a faster, more manoeuvrable form of Solar Sail for future vessels to surf upon in the the cosmic tides just as the Starskimmers do. https://78.media.tumblr.com/1cf79b812b50e2ee30460aac148f2433/tumblr_mrwc0miZn81sa82d6o1_1280.jpg (Solar sailship of the line and a 'Starskimmer' pictured. Thank you space whale friends!)

Action 2: (QM Never did actually say how my solar mirror construction went so i presume that it to went well enough. It is just a construction project after all) With exportation and domestication of Star skimmers from around Flouria in full swing and the creatures being integrated across Adonite space for work animal tasks (Hopefully) coupled with the invention of improved Solar sails the Adonite council decides to start using their solar mirrors built around Zaraksis's sun for a second purpose. Directing the reflected light outwards the Adonites hope to create highways of light for their outwards bound settlers to make use of and speeding up Solar sail travel travel greatly for outbound vessels.

As the flotilla approaches Tau Ceti I (Vau 1), they find themselves faced with an small alien fleet. Upon noticing the signals being sent out, orders are given not to open fire, but also to keep on high alert, as the language used by these aliens is not understandable by the humans of the Brotherhood. A message is sent back to the aliens, with little hope they will understand, but also in the hopes that they don't think they will kill them without talking first.

The greeting delegation seeing that they are not being fired upon exists their ship to hop onto a Starskimmer shuttle and approache the gun bristling alien flotilla. With a sense of nervous excitement at the thought of being the very first of their race to make face-to-face contact with alien sapients. they search for a dock on the human ship and try landing aboard it. (I`m sort of just assuming that they`ll be let on board based on your own prior post being somewhat careful to not provoke attack & general just from the fact that you didn`t just immediately start shooting things up.

The Adonites will attempt to over a dinner of cuisines they brought aboard the human ship and their work eagerly to weave up an offer. They`ll concede future ownership and mineral rights in the uninhabited space between the two young nations (See the blue circles) to the Brotherhood in exchange for the opening of an economic trade agreement.

(OOC:)) Serious realpolitalk time: The way i currently see the situation i don`t think either of us truly `want` to get into a galactic slugging match at the start. Me...a `bit`( Hah! That`s an understatement) more so than yourself since you *are* the one with an armada of warships pointed at my face while i`m decidedly caught with my pants down .I mean, i was planning on gobbling up all that shit up myself but it goes without saying that i did not expect the arrival of civilisation poofing from out of thin air and knocking on my border in the space of a single turn. Now i`m not saying this in an backhanded threat kind of way, (really! I swear!) but i do actually think that at the moment in a war i would actually end up winning it in the long run as i `should` have better fighting tech with the lights sails, space whales, & light highway. (Admittedly two of those three things are pending on how well the QM says their implementation turns out.) Worse come to worse i hope & pray that the Irkin player smells blood and attacks the one of us who is closest. On you`re side of things OOC i can see clear as day that you`re really just very hungry for `high matter concentration` tiles and this way you get to build over a bunch of that stuff uncontested.

>>
In order to facilitate orientation not only for the Spittle Runners but also later explorations undertaken by manned craft, a planet in a solar system to the north of Irk is turned into a giant beacon by sticking an incredibly huge antenna, powered by the planet's core, inside of it. It broadcasts at a specific frequency across half the galaxy and is simply called Beacon.

Meanwhile to the northwest an entire solar system, dubbed Factorio, will be repurposed into planet sized factories to produce the bulk of the Irken Armada.

Hilk ripples slightly, as it absorbs the new information, and assesses the form of the creature that just used rather unreliable methods to contact it. Clearly blind, though probably with enhanced senses apart from that. A message is beamed back to the fleet, and a brief debate is held. Telepathy was deemed too fuzzy for use as communication, even the razor focused and highly developed minds of the CII members. A solution is found, however, as the Hive-mind of Trill is technically a mental link, and so a Vacc-suited Vat-hand soon emerges, and approaches. Trill fills the Vat-hands mind, and sends a probing tendril of thought out towards the floating creature.

First things first, the Brotherhood is well known for their tactics. Thus, all ships of a classification of frigate and below are to be refitted with stealth technology. The tech is already widely used in stealth tanks, so it's implementation to warships goes as smoothly as it possibly could. This tech effectively renders the ship invisible in every sense of the word, both visibly and to radar, but the ship ABSOLUTELY MUST unstealth to utilize any weapons.
>Stealth Frigates

It is again time to expand, but west this time. All worlds are to be scanned for intelligent life, and if none is detected, Seeder bombs are to be deployed to create new Tiberium Worlds. Any and all worlds which have intelligent life are to be sent our messages of Brotherhood and Unity.

Adonites across the state celebrate their clear victory in the field of achieving galactic peace. The occasion correlates well with the activation of the 'solar starways' project on Zarksis, speeding up outward shipping to the colonies.

(( >>2967569 Would you also like to open trade routes? You never actually got back on me about that.))
Action 1: Unfortunately the occasion is soured with dangerous creatures & fleets of rouge ships harassing the highways. With the affair spiraling into a state of crisis the Adonite council approves of the creation of a new fleet of Solarships. Armed with kinetic weaponry inspired by what has been seen from their Brotherhood Neighbors and equipped with the latest in solar sail tech (It's 18th century spacesail ships of the line) The Star patrol is sworn in with the tall order of keeping Adonite space free of criminals and capture & research whatever strange creatures fly into their space from the void.

>but the materiel components for their production for now cannot be manufactured and have to be obtained by butchering Starskimmers

Butchering Starskimmers for science is just plain old inhumane. Our ships for the time being shall make due by attaching the relevant sections to the backs of Starskimmers.

Action 2: With the immense success of integrating Starskimmers as part of Adonite society as a whole the National Council desires to expand itself further into the Space fauna and flora regions hungrily they deposit a colony into the thick of the region (That one crazy tile that connects to like 7 different star systems in particular looks very nice) in wonder at what they might find and improve their lives with.

They will agree to all of the requests, but in addition, they will send some members to hear out the religious offerings of the brotherhood. Only the strongest of the Tiberium enhanced supersoldiers can stand upright on this planet, but it's nothing to the Plaush's. Any planted Tiberium crystals either fall over when they grow to big or sink into the ground because of the extreme gravity.

Planet 2:

Tiberium alteration cuts of the native life from the Hive and causes slow death and makes them useless for Tiberium beasts, but Tiberium growing on the Superconducting metal develops nique properties.

The North & eastwards expansion into the frontiers of biodense space seems to go about as well as one may hope. On their travels outwards into deep space the colonizers discover a truly marvelous creature. A living mass the size of a plenetoid licking it's wounds in the protective cradles of two suns. The creature is quickly named 'Atlas'. A reference to the ancient mythologies of their human neighbors

Action 1: With the Solar light highway centered around Zarksis being a proven success of solar mirror applications new plans are made to expand the idea to other major star systems for easy travel back and forth between worlds. The construction of new Solar mirrors are commissioned around the stars to direct excessive light to where it needs to go to be useful by speeding up travel all around the nation's core worlds. (OOC: Let's not kid ourselves. They're also pulling the role of being local defensive structures. As much as a swarm of star orbiting mirrors intended for the job of existing as light based highways & supporting my lovely little aesthetic of a civilization that's literally made to sail on solar winds they can damn well be made into weapons if the need arises with a bit of extra focusing.)

Action 2: The Adonite police fleet. 'Star patrol' who up until now had mostly been having to subdue bandits and capturing drunken hooligans taking their Skyskimmers on joyrides are suddenly faced with a quandary presented by the immense 'Atlas' creature. Though they are awed by it's scale and armour The dawning realization that there are in fact entities in the universe able to inflict this brand of damage onto a creature this size in the first place gives the Adonite people an uncomfortable perceptive on the universe. Upon observing the creature's utterly base intelligence plans are devised for controlling the mighty creature by using the super advanced technique of 'Dangle a carrot in front of it's face to make it move forwards.' With this particular case the carrot being corpses of dead Skyskimmers on a string for it to chase. The creature will hopefully be led to the high matter concentration space near Flouria, fashioned with a harness and be made to live out it's days in a comparatively happy life pulling space rocks in the job of asteroid mining and being able to gorge itself on the dead mass of Star skimmers.

A party of linguists travel over, and after recording the Thraelf talking for about a day, begin integrating it into the translation software of the CII fleets. A psycologist who comes from a planet in the permanent shadow of multiple moons is chosen to interact with the Thraelf mainly, their similar dependence on other senses is seen as a possible unifying factor, and a way to avoid using the wrong terms for things (You see, if you look ahead to the future etc). Doctor Tifera is flown across to their ship, and explains that the CII are purely scientists, and inquires about if the Thraelf have encountered any anomalies, precursor structures, and anything about these founders Trill sensed them talking about.

The Thralelves just start talking about the weird artifacts found on what is now their Capital as if it was normal holding up proudly their Techsavant pets. The dyson sphere of the Dwalfmer is also nice.
They then start talking about them. From their description a Dwalfmer was a highly psychic being (thus shamas were once shunned). The Thralelves are really paranoid that the Dwalfmer will come bad because here I quote: "They left all dem things. If you leave you take their things, but dem clothes dem food dem all things dem were all left! So they will come back, you only leave things if you going to come back!"

The string of pirate settlements that had been founded at the edge of Adonite Solar territory had gone about their businesses under the radar for a long while now. The attention of Star force authorities had been predominated by attempts at containing or otherwise pacifying the Atlas creature and it's newly discovered den of it's offspring. The continued existence of pirate bands of and the numerous creatures attracted to the highways from deep space were of fleeting concern in comparison and a tipping point as about to be reached.

Action 1: Far away from all of this lawless frontier of chaos in the heart of the ever understaffed and underfunded Star force's high command center on Zarksis in the office of Star force commander Javris galandi a frightening policy is presented to him for the crisis. A quick re-alignment of many solar highway reflective mirrors to project incinerating streams of solar light onto various pirate hideouts nestled across Adonite space. The engineers responsible for the plan alegorize it as being akin to literally burning away the *undesired* and cancerous cells of a greater entity.

The commander after looking at the plans for an hour or more.....rejects the proposed extermination. "It is completely immoral to sign the death warrants of so many people in a heartbeat without a moment of warning or discrimination between the guilty and innocent and magnitudes of a given crime.

One week later Star force's combined fleet, pathetic as it may be releases an ultimatum to all pirates in Tortuga and beyond. Surrender to authorities, leave Adonite controlled space or otherwise conform yourselves to the law in the future. If you will not do one of these things we will be forced to attack you. As the message ends the fleet begins flying itself to Tortuga as the solar highways across the nation go dark for one hour. An asteroid just nearby the Tortuga colony is struck by the concentrated beams of light With a show of force given the Star force re-issues their ultimatum.

Action 2: The Adonite Council's constant pushes for continued expansion into the high Fauna & flora zones has created numerous encounters with strange and little understood alien life. The most incredible of which is that legendary 'Atlas', a titanic beast kept pacified with regular feedings of Star skimmer corpses. For the longest while that was it. As the first forays into controlling the simple creature ended in failure. The revelation that the beast was presumably in possession of a brood sparked renewed interest in keeping this creature under control. Past attempts at finding a surefire means of preventing the beast from being a threat to any any colonies potentially created in the system were invariably deemed insufficient. However this time the prevailing mode of thought was one of taking the creature's tolerance for starship activity to the next level. The newest colony of the Adonite people would be made to blossom on the back of a cosmic whale. Special structures are sent out from the foundries on Vau 1 & 2 to 'fill in' the cracks of the creature's shell.

No one has bothered to settle in a Danger Zone, yet? For shame.

OP, mind sharing what sort of dangers make the northern zone so inhospitable? Or is that more up to our own RP for our specific regions?

> The Lanort - class cruiser starts entering service, the first Cherenni ship of it's tonnage with a purely military remit. Initially deployed to the areas considered most high-risk along the Tarthun Zone border, they would soon enter general service.

A planet suitable for the establishment of an R&D lab has been discovered just north of the solar system in which Mineralis resides. It is now known as Laboratora.

The first task given to researchers is the development of a scanner for all forms of life in order to at least purge the ratmen from the ships.

The void around Laboratora and Mineralis is consolidated as they will prove to be vital components of the future Irken war machine.

The Thralelfs are happy to hear that they can get help fixing the Dyson Sphere, but all the present Thralelves grab their Chitin.

With a slightly shaky voice the Captain says that this deal is not within his competency, but a delegation of diplomats is invited to the Capital.

In addition he proposes the establishment of a "tradeplanet". While traveling here they found a nice planet with some stone-age Natives which would be perfect for establishing a joint Tradeplanet and Diplomacy Planet which is jointly by the ICC and the Thralelf Union.

In addition the thralelves expand a bit south where they encounter a black whole and what seems to be a broken Wormwhole.

Dr Tifera agrees, and a small group of ships is detached and sent out to establish an orbit on light side of the stone age planet so as to be very hard to spot from the ground. Several astro-engineers, robotics experts and a cloning ship, one of 3 ships capable of producing new vat-hands is sent, along with a sub-mind of Trill, to ensure no mistakes are made with the vat-hands. Plans are drawn up on the best way to restore a Dyson sphere, and the best way to obtain a genetic sample of one of the Chitin.

>On the Asteroid Planet
The Geologists shrug, deactivate their seismic projector, and follow, a group of around 10, in specialized heat refracting suits, designed to operate in volcanoes. The flash cards are brought along as well. (Think a bunch of cards with pictures on them, showing various scientific images, such as atomic layout, the periodic table, maps of the galaxy, many images of friendly CII scientists waving at whatever device took these pictures etc)

>First action- Establish an orbit on the tradeplanet, plan to acquire Chitin DNA and restore the Dyson Sphere
>Make contact properly with the Asteroid Planet bugs.

(I almost feel dirty with how well those went) (Does Tortuga count as a colony? I'd like to make it the main 'military' planet and i don't even know where it is)

Action 1: With many pirates out of a job mercenary work offers begin flooding in. To keep the armed and admittedly rather unsavory former pirates doing lawful work a new 'bounty' program is implemented where the authorities will provide fair payment for the pacification and transport of problematic wild alien lifeforms that appear around the nation to the colony of Fauna to receive study and care in a controlled environment.

Action 2: Adonite colonists, instead of expanding borders begin colonizing inwards. Setting up colonies within the nation's own internal borders rather than continuing to push the frontier.
>>
>>2977026
Nah, it was a good plan and I don't want to always say that something went wrong.

> The uncovery of Voidsquid intelligence sends further reverberations around the scientific community. It is postulated that, perhaps, the Voidsquid could become so much more if freed from the predation that keeps their swarms splitting and moving apart. A squadron of Lanort-class vessels are given the mission of an experimental cull of the serpentine predators in the nearest zone of space, broadcasting the message 'help you' in simple patterns of light to the squid as we free them from their persecutors.

Action 1.
Dr Tifera requests permission to send a small ship to the Dyson sphere, to take scans and analyse the degradation it has suffered, to see what can most easily be restored.

Action 2.
The Scientists are far more chirpy about this, and begin trying to work out what is blocking them. Several pieces of technology are disassembled and reassembled into a somewhat rudimentary cutting laser, and a small sliver is taken, both of the runes, and of the normal wall, and placed into analysis containers. > The System of Veresto, also on the edge of Fauna space, is settled as a corporate world for manufacture of specialized technological and luxury goods, both to the Heitorarchy and the wider galaxy.

Diplomacy:

Our scientists continue their communications with Vyrm, to uncover what (if anything) the Voidsquid entity wants, and hopefully discuss treaties of friendship and mutual support for the future.

Continued diplomacy: We also send out a fleet of Hinethi and Lanort-class vessels to meet with the fleet from the makers of the probe, who were projected to visit but haven't yet shown up to talk.

The Adonites, observing the ecological crisis as it unfolds in front of their very eyes are forced to partake in an unpopular culling plot to counteract the imbalances that they created in their own ecosystem. Plans are enacted to control the spiraling situation.

Action 1: Genetic information stored on the research facilities of planet fauna are sent to planet flouria to be cloned in a preemptive plan to repopulate Adonite space's devastated eco-system into a more harmonious form once the mass die offs happen while star force and the privateers focus on containing any animal that attacks traffic on the solar highways.

Action 2: Colonize up the rest of the star systems inside of our borders. (or at least however many we actually can in the space of a turn's worth of colonizing.) Leave that one uncolonized planet bordering the Brotherhood as is because that would be a strait up treaty violation.

(Talky-Talk not-action:) Ask the universal brotherhood about their thoughts on establishing something of a neutral ground-trading planet out of that place.

After quite a while in secret, the recent developments of the Brotherhood have come to light...

1. Recent explorations into Tiberium science has given us improved shielding. It is now even more efficient with deflection and absorption.

2/3. More expansion on the Northern and Western fringes.

4. Recent developments in robotics and cybernetics have given us this. The Geara Doga. This 20 meter tall piloted mech suit is vacuum sealed, heavily armed with tiberium weapons, and a chest mounted Obelisk cannon.

As the extra action, using the EM Shielding, and the large amounts of energy our Pulsar research has yielded, a drone weapon will be developed, a Storm maker. The purpose of it is to enter an area, and flood it with EM radiation, damaging electrics, de-stablising weather patterns, and generally making life hell for anyone who isn't prepared for it.

This turn

In response to our scientists being taken prisoner, the fleet they came from moves to a hostile footing. The "War Chest", a collection of experimental and hazardous projects are authorized for initial stages of preparation, as the full fleet moves into orbit, while wide-spectrum broadcasts project non-verbal threats, bared teeth, and pictures of the imprisoned scientists. The Cloning Ship begins producing Vat-hands with highly dense muscle and advanced reflexes, at the cost of lower intellect and emotional recognition skills.

With the scans from Dr Tifera, a initial construction crew is assembled, mainly engineers, with a list of various minerals and resources they'll need. The ship, a large cargo hauler packed with equipment, vat-hands, and resources heads off, while plans are drawn up to repair the main superstructure, removing the more ramshackle parts of Thralelf repair, and ensuring a pressurized space to operate in.
