/qst/ - Quests

Baring the semi-light body of your classmate over your shoulders you drag her into a duffel bag, stuffing her legs and arms inside as the bag easily tightens up, the body is bigger than it can hold. Regardless, you make it fit, but the imprints from inside can still show a resemblance of a teenage girl.

You check one last time, zipping the bag down just enough so the body won't fly out for you to redo the whole frustrating task of stuffing it inside again. The heavy bruising on her neck still shows: deep purple with a hint of brown. Her eyes still glassy, unmoving and still, dead as a fish.

Clear of regret you stop observing the now deceased, closing the bag up once more and heaving it unto your back. The weight was heavier now that the body is hanging, suspended within a cheap coffin. You leave the classroom, and to out, the school.

It was way past night. The plan only worked because the girl mistook the letter you have given her as a confession of love. Not only that, she mistook it for your brother. The soles of your shoes give out a muffled sound akin to her yelps. Around you was an empty sidewalk that leads to your street, but that thought was shrouded by your pondering state, furthering adding to the silence in the night.

You are Nawakubi Hanano, and you have killed your fellow peer out of sick love for your brother who's ignorant of your actions. Now before I come, may I ask about you?

No one would believe of such a girl to be like this. After all, that soft, gentle demeanor could never hurt a fly.

You have all the perfect qualities of a woman, everything that a man needs, and most importantly, wants. But you do not want any other. For every time a boy confesses to you behind the school or at the the roof in the afternoon you always turn them down, hiding the disdain towards each one of them. And for every "why?" you answer "I'm not ready yet".

Girls alike admire you as well. They're not as dirty as the perverse ball of hormones that approach you every day. However, there's a few that gets on your nerves....but it's better not to think about them. After all, you have your hands full with one pest.

Going through the day is a struggle at every moment. If it wasn't for your brother, the thought, the fantasy, you would probably be a NEET. His impression takes priority.

Nawakubi: "Eiji, big sister will be a bit late than expected."

You whisper to yourself, your right shoulder becoming numb to the burdensome bag.

Interesting you are. Been watching you for a while now for a special recruit...You'll make the queen happy.

There are many things that you can't tell Eiji. God knows what will happen, just thinking about it causes you to recede and talk to yourself; chuckling maliciously under the guise of an innocent yet lovely girl.

> You always keep Eiji on sight. The moment he's taken is the end for you.

It took a while to make sense of the technology used but you eventually figured out to bug Eiji's phone. It proved useful since you can find him at anytime you want, not that you already know where he always is.

There's also the suite of cameras that you built into the walls of his bedroom. Yours was directly next to him so the effort was much easier than it had to be. Since then, you've compiled a massive data storage of pictures of Eiji on every angle; whenever he's sleeping, changing clothes, or doing his homework. Millions of shots within a secure digital box.

Eiji's a year behind you at age 16 while you're 17; being the older sister you carried out the tasks that came with it, watching and helping him at every turn since you were young. And you loved each second.

>Dump the bag into a river

Crouching down carefully to pick up a few rocks heavy enough to weight the duffel bag down, you navigate through the neighborhood until you find a bridge that crossed over a river. The sizeable stream hummed of flowing water, nothing to you but a calming melody to many. Now, this is a grave.

"Sorry, Eri, we could've been friends. You just accidentally showed me how dangerous you are to Eiji." (Nawakubi)

Talking to the corpse that has yet to decompose, you stuff in the rocks so they act as an anchor. The river should be able to hide the body for a while if not forever, the deep water being enough to conceal the bag.

"One, two, three." (Nawakubi)

Tipping the duffel bag over the railings you watch it splash and sink, going down without a trace. You peek about the waters just in case there was some chance of visibility, quitting after a moment's try as the river has swallowed the corpse.

"Hello there." (???)

A voice sounded from the silence, almost otherworldly. It had a hum to it, somewhat like a low growl that a dog makes when a stranger crosses its owner's house. Yet, it was man. You froze the second you heard it; a witness? It'll be a hassle and you don't know what to do with another body.

Snapping around your body you pulled out an unused box cutter towards your target. You miss, the figure easily dodging your blade with a simple side-step. Raising your hand again to cut the person you stop immediately, your face draining of color when you gazed upon the sudden figure.

It looked reptilian, a tall being that easily towered over you by just casually standing. Its surface looked smooth, bleached white to which its blood vessels showed. It had no eyes, nor ears, only a long slit that lined its snout that showed a smile of a hundred sharp teeth. Below to the torso was an odd pair of shorts, tied with a rope to keep it up. The feet jetted backwards.

"Hehaha, spooky huh? I've been watching you for a very long time now." (???)

You face contorts into antipathy, looking at the thing head on to where its eyes should be.

"What are you?" (Nawakubi)

"Oh, do forgive me I forgot to introduce myself. I am Albilio." (??? > Albilio)

"What do you mean by 'I've been watching you'? How? Why?" (Nawakubi)

You edge closer to the monstrous salamander, the box cutter aimed at its chest but held in position till further consequence.

"All I can say to you is that I'm good at hiding in many places. As for why, I've been sent to monitor you; a mission for recruitment. There's a certain someone who's been having complication with another certain group of individuals and is seeking ways of help to get rid of those pest, pest like the one you've dunked into this river. You have shown to have qualities deemed helpful in her endeavor and so I implore, come with me. I'll do my best to keep you alive if you comply." (Albilio)

The thing then bowed, his right arm under its chest and its left arm drawn out like a butler.

"Who is this 'certain someone'?" (Nawakubi)

"That, I cannot tell, only when you agree to come with me." (Albilio)

"How long will this even last? And what's this about 'keeping me alive'? If you've been watching me then you know I don't care about anything like that. Leave - I have a brother to get back to right now." (Nawakubi)

Albilio sighs, scratching the tip of his head and looking up to the moon, looking back down to you.

"If you say so. Would be pretty horrible if your brother kept on visiting another girl." (Albilio)

The monstrous salamander's grinned farther, putting up his arms in defeat to drive the point across. You couldn't believe what he had said; Eiji, with another girl?! When?!

"Hehehehahaha! Yes, how exciting; it is true. Your brother Eiji has been with a few girls. Does this catch your attention now? My boss can offer you a deal that's most beneficial between the two of you, as was the goal of my mission." (Albilio)

Eyes blank, the emerald color of yours become flat and devoid of shade. How can this even happen? You go to the same high school so there shouldn't be any way for you to not know that Eiji has been hanging out with some girl. He's usually with his guy friends most of the time; not to mention that this salamander said that there was a few girls with him now. Few. Few?! That's one too many - the only one should be me! His caring big sister!

Plunging down the blade you try to at least graze the monster's skin but just like last time he gets out of the way easily; you slash at the air where he used to be, now behind you with a mocking smile, his hands behind his back like some sophisticated gentleman. Again, you twist around your torso to the right, cutting nothing but air. Repeatedly, Albilio plays around your assault, dancing on the rails.

"Don't be so mad, Nawakubi, that expression doesn't suit you. Please, I implore again, come. I give an opportunity." (Albilio)

He looks onto your exhausted state; bending downward you stood still to regain your breath, both eyes on the otherworldy figure. You weren't the most physically adept and it's clearly taking its toll.

"Then it's your loss. Have fun being unable to keep your brother without resorting to get caught by the police. The girl whom you killed may be found sooner than you expect since her parents should be trying to find her by now. And trust me, hiding a corpse in a river is a good idea but it won't help in the long run. What if a person manages to pierce through the dark veil of the water's floor and see the bag with a hand sticking out, what if the bag itself drains somewhere only for a person to open it due to curiosity. There's also the fact that she told her friends about the little letter you slipped into her locker, saying that it's from your brother. My boss can arrange something where these possibilities are impossible." (Albinio)

(Albilio) "Good, I'm glad that we've finally reached to an agreement. Don't fret, all will come with good fortune once you meet my boss."

Albilio jumps of the railing, landing with but a faint sound that was almost quieter than the impact of a falling feather. Motioning his right arm he then spoke through a language thought incomprehensible by you; a flash of purple light was produced in front of him and what revealed to be was a circle. The shapes within it were geometrical, mysterious writings that was too unknown. Stepping inside, Albilio then ushers you in with him, lending out a hand for you to take. Confused, reluctant, and seething at the same time you ignore his gentle offer and step in as well, the circle's contents beginning to spin. Another glow of purple light appeared, masking the surroundings that was outside of the circle. Soon, you found yourself in a unfamiliar place.

You were now transported within a room; built with the upmost care, it was designed in a regal fashion. You seem to find yourself in a mansion.

Looking out of the window behind you, draped in a dark red curtain to which you pull them apart, the area was now a forest than a suburban environment. Albilio himself looked pleased to your perplexity, opening the only door within the room and bowing again.

(Albilio) "This way, it's best not to keep her waiting."

(Nawakubi) "Where are we?"

Albilio) "Here is my queen's household, planted and built under the trees. We are a bit for from your home but I assure you, this place is in walking distance if you look hard enough. The cover of the canopy is a great veil for the unsuspecting."

Turning from the window your face retreats to a blank expression, stone cold with a nasty bitterness in your heart. You enter from out of the room while ignoring the creature, going down the dark wooded hall.

Albilio catches up behind you, going in front of you to navigate the unfamiliar mansion. The whole place emanated a weird feel, like you knew something but couldn't put a finger on it. The structure continued to give no help to this question as it was inanimate; decorated with vintage items with some looking more archaic than the other.

At the corner of your eye a blip of blackness peeked around a corner. Albilio, noticing that you've slowed down came to it. He said something in a hushed voice, too low for you to hear; returning back to you he then resumed the tour.

(Albilio) "Pay no mind to that. Some of us can be a bit nosy."

You stay silent, only following him.

In the next corner, a staircase went down to what looks to be the foyer of the whole mansion. A glass window that was placed high on the front wall lets in the faint light of the moon, the branches of tall trees poking at the edge. In the ceiling, a giant chandelier that was kept off, adding more to the dark atmosphere.

Down to the first floor you then enter through two doors under the stairs, the ones from seconds ago, and into another maze-like hallway. Three paths that it branched: to the right, left, and to the front, easily confusing to one such as you who. But this was nothing to Albilio however, going straight down the first hall in front of him, paying ignorance to the countless other doors.

Every bit of the way there was something around the corner, a small whisper, or an eye that appeared then disappeared once you blinked. Unnerved, you guide you mind to other things, playing along with Albilio's current state and keeping head away from the corners that may harbor...something.

You arrive in front of a pair of glass doors. The translucency kept you from seeing the other side but you can make out a clear outline of a garden. Albilio opens the door to the outside, waiting for you to go through first. The unclear garden was now revealed of its contents; hedges lined the perimeter, beds and bushes of types flowers blooming in ripe fashion. Nonetheless, the attention was stolen by a marble table with chairs of the same material. There, a woman sat in one of the open seats, leering at you.

(Albilio) "Welcome to my queen's courtyard. Impressive it is, the flowers are especially pretty at this time of night. Do meet her right away, but please note, I'll sink my claws into you if you try to climb the steel fence. I'm not one to hold something against another - don't make yourself the first person to do so."

For a moment, you were stuck in place, studying the woman by the white stone table. Tensing yourself you then approach her, taking the last remaining seat.

Her hair was beautifully white, reaching down to a full body's length. She had eyes colored with a dark purple, similar in shade with the glowing circle from moments before, and a poise that showed power. The woman studied you as well but with a more analytic effort, her eyes scanning you from top to bottom. Albilio joined the both of you, standing by a little ways far.

(Morgan) "Thorough with your questions are you? Well then, a 'magical girl' is a girl who has obtained magical power through various means: contracts, training, or just being born with the ability. However, these capabilities aren't limited to the opposite sex. We just call males by the traditional term, wizards. Additionally, the original term for 'magical girl' was witch. The world of magic is only known to very few people, and as such, the practice of magic has been lost in modern times."

(Nawakubi) "Then tell me, how am I the best candidate for you?"

The woman laughs, hiding her mouth with her palm.

(Morgan) "Excuse me. To be clear, you are one of the very rare people to have an abundant amount of magical energy. A point of envy for many. With just one push, you'll be as powerful as two or even three witches...Maybe enough to keep your little dear brother forever~"

(Nawakubi) "I understand the gist of it. If this Mordred won't be a threat, then I agree, only because to keep Eiji safe."

(Morgan) "That's great! All we have to do is amplify your magical energy."

Morgan gets out of her chair, the marble grating against the clean pavement with a forced sound. She tells you to stand up as well and come to her; Initially hesitant, you do, Morgan creating a pair of circles with characteristics very much like the one Albilio used.

With one swift motion, Morgan then sinks her hands into your chest, the sensation of something inside you coursing through your body. You became dazed, constantly changing from hot to cold, happy to sad, crazy to sane, the slew of emotions and motives driving down your veins like a highway. Soon a pain emerges, inhabiting your ability to scream. A feel of intense burning deep within you.

Morgan wrenches her hands out from where she put them, the pain immediately going away without and lingering feel. Conscious again, you were about to give her a piece of your mind but another sensation came over you, way different from the brief hell that you experienced.

Your body becomes cloaked in light, changing into...

Both pieces of clothing had golden accents, insinuating a royal presence of an army. Soft and silken to the touch, the dress contrasted with the hard leather that carried a slight weight, but styled in a perfect fashion nonetheless. The coat's sleeves hanged from your shoulders, the wind blowing them back. Looking at yourself you made a comparison between you and the cosplayers online, often come across them to research Eiji's interest.

Thrice; a third sensation came, but at my hands. Looking down, something was materializing inside my palm, a light building itself from thin air and into a shape.

(Morgan) "Every magical girl has a catalyst - a tool of sorts to use magic. Others, like me, and those who follow the traditional path don't use one; I've been around for a long time to master the art."

Listening to Morgan's explanation you turned attention to the masked shape that's within your hand...

Okay, before I forget.

Liking this so far. The opening characterization was strong, setting is familiar enough. There's a couple of things I'd critique about it, though.

1: You're flipping between second-person (You do X) and first person (I do X). You need to pick one and stick with it. I'd recommend second-person, more common, better immersion.

2: You don't need to preface every piece of dialogue with (Character). A smart rule of thumb is 'Only make a new paragraph/line when someone other than the first speaker of the paragraph starts taking an action.' Doing that, plus prefacing it with a minor action that the character does before they start speaking, such as:

>Morgan smiles at you, a thin yet confident expression. "Every magical girl has a catalyst - a tool of sorts to use magic. Others, like me, and those who follow the traditional path don't use one; I've been around for a long time to master the art."

See how that kinda naturally infers who's speaking? Reads less stilted, less like a play script where you're mentally taking on the name before every line. You can also notify who's speaking mid or post sentence, simply like:

>"Every magical girl has a catalyst," Morgan explains. "A tool of sorts to use magic...."

or

>""Every magical girl has a catalyst - a tool of sorts to use magic. Others, like me, and those who follow the traditional path don't use one; I've been around for a long time to master the art." After her explanation, Morgan smiles.

Generally I'd recommend notifying who's speaking before or during the actual dialogue- you don't want readers to wonder who's speaking for too long without taking them out of the flow of things. But any of those three methods work.

Keep it up! It's cool to see new quests like this get an audience. So long as the writing quality improves, and you're good at describing locales and actions, I think this will be a real winner.

Will take note

Katyusha
- A pair semi-automatic pistols that shoots bullets made of pure magical energy
- Roaring Love Song of Soldiers: Create a giant magic circle that shoots a continuous barrage of magical bullets.

Within both of Nawakubi's hands were two pistols, sharing the same color palette with her current clothes. Morgan's face showed an impressed look, scanning her again and smiling profusely at the development-- no, she was exceedingly happy. Nawakubi, still dazed, perhaps from the side-effects of Morgan's abrupt actions, thought to herself. "A magical girl..." Nawakubi said in her mind, having conflicting images between the romanticized idea of one and yourself.

"Interesting indeed, very grandiose compared to the young and lively costumes of other magical girls," Morgan commented, breaking the silence. "But I suppose it does fit a person of such a twisted personality."

"Twisted? It's called love. Now tell me, who are the people that you want me to get rid of. The sooner I can get this done, the better for the both of us," you say, staring down the witch.

"Love is always twisted, it just depends on which is more twisted than the other, but I digress. The group in question are a couple of girls about your age, four members in all, and had confronted me ever since they found out what I'm doing - as previously stated. Albilio here tried to scout out some more information but he only managed to get one very important piece of intelligence before he ran into them himself."

"Then tell. There's no use in withholding it from me," you command impatiently.

Morgan waves her hand down playfully, "Settle down now. It just so happens that they had been meeting up with your dear little brother for a long time now. Fujiwara Mako, Otobe Ika, Remini Kana, and Aeki Satou," listing each of the girl's names.

"I have some ideas but they're just guesses. However, knowing you, and the intense amount of magical energy you have, your little Eiji might have the same capabilities and maybe that's why. But we'll have to wait and see first."

Morgan sits upon the marble chair again, laying back and crossing her arms while you are left standing. This little amount of time was enough for you to recede into your mind, thinking hard about the four names that Morgan gave to you. Fujiwara, Otobe, Remini, Aeki, Fujiwara, Otobe, Remini, Aeki, Fujiwara, Otobe, Remini, Aeki...

"Fujiwara...Otobe...Remini, I'll memorize their names," you mumbled, the names leaking from your mouth. You then address Morgan who gave no thought about your incessant chant, "For now, can I go? I had came here like you asked and I think it's time for me to finally return."

"Of course," Morgan, agreeing, "We had finished our exchange between us. Albilio, may you please?"

The white creature chuckles before he bows, producing the same circle on the ground. Without eyes, he appears to be blind but underneath that alien skin was two of them, intense upon you. This was of no malice but it still gives an off feeling.

"This here magic circle will teleport you to your room. It will suffice no?" Morgan says.

You nod, "It will do," stepping into it just like before, quiet.

The circle started spinning, the characters gradually rotating into a high speed and shrouding everything outside its border with a white light. Morgan was smiling throughout the whole process, her eyes changing back into a purple hue. All was eventually covered by the light, warping you to your destination.

Reaching for the switch, the light within the center of your ceiling illuminates; vision cleared, you see that your clothes had returned to normal.

Looking around your room, you check for anything different inside. Nothing was moved, thankfully, and all remained the same. Especially the...

Closing the closet door, a wave of comfort comes to you. This night was initially planned to be simpler but now things have evolved into a complicated mess that you can somewhat understand and act upon. Your restfulness was then replaced by despisableness, remembering that a couple of girls had been with Eiji under your nose. The bitterness in your mouth was almost enough to make you gag.

Knowing that it'll be strange if you just walk downstairs, you decide to pretend that you're coming back home. Pulling up the blinds of the wide window on one of your bedroom's walls, you unlock it so you can push it open. The air drafts in like it was waiting to enter, and this being their chance. As for you, staring down the couple levels from where your room is located, you determine yourself to vault out of the window.

Falling into the ground was surprisingly harmless. No pain came to you once your feet collides with the grass-layered dirt and cement. You didn't take too long to think however, going straight to the front door of your house and pushing the doorbell on the side.

A man opened the door, your father, looking worried as he usually is.

"Nawakubi? Where had you been? Got me really worried," he says, yourself realizing that he's wearing his apron.

"Sorry, Father, I lost track of time once I made it to the park. A man was selling ice cream there."

"What's wrong with bathing together? It isn't a big deal. Are you at the rebellious age, Eiji? You used to always come with me to wash."

"It's just that..." Eiji paused, "It's just that we are older now, and it's embarrassing."

"Why are you embarrassed? You know that onee-san always loves you."

"Well, you lack privacy. I'm also grown-up too."

From the kitchen, father called to the both of you that dinner's ready. The spices' aromatic air leaked into the living room; Eiji's stomach grumbles, himself soon taking off into the kitchen and taking plate. At the front door, a person came inside the house as well. It was your mother, groaning and throwing her suitcase aside while unbuttoning her suit.

"Hello, Nawa," your mother says, calling you by your pet name. She then smells the air, taking in the scent of food, "Curry is it? Good, I was getting hungry after work. Seriously, the chief doesn't know when to lay off."

"Hello, Mother," you greet back. "Forgot to make dinner today so father had to make it."

"That's okay, as long as there's something on the table. And besides, your father would take any opportunity to cook."

You finish your food short after, copying your brother's action and going to your bedroom.

Looking over to your collection of pictures of Eiji within your computer you take time to appreciate all of them. Your most treasured ones are those of him and you, more especially the times where you were kids. He was so cute back then, and now he's more than just a boy - a man. The more you think about it makes you feel high: drooling, laughing, and losing yourself within dreams. There will be a day that he sees you more than just a sister, there will, but you can't wait. It's torturous that you can't whisk him away, live off somewhere with just the two of you. He will be your knight that takes you away into wonderland.

You reluctantly turn off your computer and get out of your chair. Your window is still open, the room now a few degrees colder than it was before. The idea comes to you right away, resolving yourself and the deal you have between you and that witch. As shady as she is, you now have your dream right in front of you. You just need to kill a few girls, that's all. How hard can it be? It's not like you haven't done this before.

Staring into your hands, the image of your pistols becomes a reality. Like the first time, you are coated in light that changed your clothes, back into the regal, grandiose dress and coat. Stepping upon the inside thin frame of the window, you then look about to see if the coast is clear.

Knowing that most of the neighborhood's lights are off, except for the streetlight, you come to a conclusion. With one jump, you force yourself out once again.

Bracing yourself for impact in the chance that you meet the hard ground again, your heels steps on something. Looking under your frilly dress was a blue platform, its contents swiveling around like a machine. Confused, you start to lightly tap against it to test its strength. Once you were confident enough you then pounded hard against it, the magical platform not breaking in the slightest. Walking forward another one emerges from under your feet, the previous one disappearing. Wanting to go back to the ground, the second one disappeared from under you as well, letting you fall.

Landing, you dust yourself off and try to create those platforms again. Just by stepping on the air and imagining them was enough for them to appear, now making easy transport. With a newfound ability, you start to walk over a small forest in the distance, a ways from your house.

Arriving at the grove, you drop yourself among the trees. In the distance, you can still see the bright lights of cars and the buildings downtown that are accompanied by millions of mechanical sounds. You pry your attention from it, focusing in your present area. Aiming, you then fire a shot at a tree.

Pulling the trigger, the recoil sprung from your hand unexpectedly, the bullet hitting its mark. With a thundering roar, it pierced the thick wood of the tree's center that may be on the verge of falling.

You continue to practice shooting at the motionless trees in the hopes of getting used to the recoil. Repeatedly, you pull down the trigger as you sequence a steady sound of flying bullets, and through time, you eventually got used to the spasm of the pistol. You didn't even notice when you did shoot the gun, now locked in your hands as if it's a piece of you now. The feel of it was too familiar too fast, but that may be your doubts as you are a fast learner all throughout your life.

Firing another shot, things became unordinary. It's like time itself has slowed down, the magical bullet flying through the air in a snail's pace. You however still retained normal movement. Trying your luck and moving next to the bullet, you edge close enough to directly look at it with your face next to its stream of ripped air. The sudden effect then worn off, the bullet zipping by your face. Seven seconds maximum was the length of the state.

Morbidly curious, you reenact it once more. It only worked once after a few minutes or so - three or four - spending your time trying to activate it. This time you continuously shoot within the stagnant effects of this mysterious power, the bullets that were fired in succession flying together like a drone of bees. Seven seconds again; the power worn off and the formerly floating pieces of pure magical energy zoomed before you, hitting any trees that collided with them with inhuman power. Much so, was it more lethal than any machine could produce.

More time has passed. Through experimentation, you found out that the platforms that are used to hold you up in the air can be used as cover. You came across this possibility when you almost got caught within the crossfire of your own bullets, and in a reflexive attempt of fear, you summoned the sprawling circle in front of you to block the fire. Interested in this development, you made up multiple of these circular platforms to act as targets. By their own, they can only take five or six shots. But strengthened with multiple layers upon layers of themselves they can block almost ten times the amount, and even more if you made more layers.

The little forest was now heavily destroyed. Each tree was either toppled or near to, black marks siting themselves on the bark of trunks and branches.

Refreshed, you fit yourself into pajamas, ready for the rest of the night.

Going by the door of Eiji's bedroom, you delicately crack his door open. Eiji was already fast asleep, breathing quietly and completely oblivious to your presence. Your smile was like a monster's, hiding in the darkness of the hallway. Watching him like this was routine for you, sometimes staying like this till dawn. Even without communicating any sort of action, he calls to you, tempting for you to take your place next to him. Alas, you cannot; closing the door you then return to your own room, tucking yourself in. Soon, you go to sleep like the rest of your household.

Waking up, the sun's early rays shown through the crack of the blinds, momentarily impairing your vision. Your alarm clock was about to go on, and before it does so you turn it off to disable the alarm. Stretching your arms, you taste your mouth and rub your eyes to finally regain vision of your surroundings. Already, you can hear students talking to each other down the street.

Getting out of bed, you put on your uniform, making sure everything's perfect for Eiji's sake. Taking you bag with you, you go to the kitchen to fix yourself some breakfast. Eiji's comes after you cooked up some food, pulling out a chair from under the table and waiting. He was still drowsy, his bed head ruffing his hair up.

Eiji yawns, "Good morning, Onee-san."

Setting down the plates you hug Eiji from behind, kissing him on the cheek.

"Onee-san, you don't have to do that every morning," Eiji complained, but not stopping you.

"Why not? It's a for goodluck!" you say, chuckling. You sit down, drawing one of the plates to you, "So, any plans for today after school?"

"Eh? Uh, no, not really," Eiji answered disorderly.

"Hmm..." you let out, not knowing if Eiji is trying to lie. "You sure?"

"Yes, I'm sure, Onee-san," Eiji assured.

"Okay then..." doubt in your words.

"You know you can tell onee-san anything, right, Eiji?"

Eiji glances at you for a moment, "I guess, but...There isn't anything to tell you, hehe" laughing awkwardly.

You squint your eyes and pout, "If you say so. Let's hurry and get to school shall we."

"Y-Yeah."

Finishing up breakfast you wash both dishes, Eiji putting on his shoes while waiting for you by the door. You follow suit as well, taking off for school. The school wasn't far from your house, one its taller buildings peeking over the horizon of the countless houses. The campus was pretty sizeable too, allowing room for many extracurricular activities during and after hours.

During the whole way, you both didn't say a word, reaching to the gate where a teacher stood by to greet incoming students. You gave a frank smile while Eiji waved slightly in consideration of the man, entering school grounds. There, Eiji says good-bye to you and splits off to his own, going to his classroom. You depart as well, joining the second-year's classes.

Strolling down the hall without a care, the eyes of both boys and girls catch you. In your opinion, you were pretty okay but that was overshadowed by the general consensus of most people, calling you one of the most beautiful girls in the whole school and rivaling a few others. Hair and eyes like a foreigner, fair and calm - that was the picture of of Hanano Nawakubi.

You take your seat within the second from back row of the class, sitting by the window. You originally chose this seat to stay inconspicuous, but seeing how your reputation has grown, it draws more attention that it should be doing. This spot was also the best view when Eiji's out for PE, all for you to spectate.

Setting your bag down, you wait patiently for homeroom to end. The teacher comes in, telling stray students to go into their seats and behave while he himself starts the first class of today. Although the teacher's efforts were fruitless, some kids snickering between themselves as they whispered to each other, they finally quieted down once the man repeated his request as he threatened with detention. Idiots. The class quelled, the man started the lesson.

"Alright, class, today we have a test. I presume you all studied?"

Some students groaned, lamenting their foolishness. The teacher passed out papers for each students, announcing what to not do during the test: the usual, don't cheat or look over someone's paper, don't use your phone during the given time, etc. Once everyone had a copy, he then gave the word, the pencils of your peers scribbling rapidly.

Thankfully, your were competent enough to study unlike the pathetic lot who's struggling with question number one. Writing down the answers without any difficulties, you were the first one to finish first, leaving you with the rest of the the test time free. It was boring, watching people catch up one at a time.

At the end of class, the teacher gathered up all the tests on each student's desk. Many of them weren't done yet, but had no choice and turn it in even though there were questioned unanswered. What little time we had remaining was free until the bell rang, students joining others again just like before. Some joked that they've failed, hiding their worries, and others were confident that they themselves at least got something above seventy.

Another girl met up with you. She had short, black hair, a catty grin, and a body that was well toned. Suzukawa Oneko, a childhood friend of sorts that has stuck with you since middle school.

"Yo, Nawa-san, how'd ya do on the test? I forgot that we had one today," Suzukawa joked.

Suzukawa Oneko wasn't the brightest. For what she lacks in mind is physical brawn, and can face off with many of the strongest boys in school. This part of her was a charming quality, netting her own group of admires. If she can't find you she then goes off to find your brother Eiji since she claims that it's more fun to be with either with you.

"When exactly did he started hanging around these girls? When did YOU noticed this for the first time?"
Why I seem to be the last to know about this situation? Normaly I should be the first... and Oneko is not the birghtest mind around. How did she noticed this before me? This sitaution is too odd, too abnormal.

It is almost as if everyone was obscuring this from you, deliberately omitting telling you things, but she...

She is too dump for that, Suzukawa Oneko is just too stupid to be part of some sort of conspiration. And because of that, no one make countermeasures against her.

"This is why i like you." She is like an moronic dog, predictable, loyal and situationally useful.

"Where were they when you found this out? And when exactly did he started hanging around these girls?"

"It just sorta happened. For a while now, not many people took it in mind until recently. Now the other boys are jealous since Eiji is with Fujiwara, Remini, and you most respectively. I found this out when I was looking for him, searching the rooftops because that's where he usually is you know. By the time I got there, a whole slew of girls were with him. Hehe," the catty girl chuckling for a second, "It was a pretty big mess the moment I stepped in. The weirdest part was that a circle was on the door to the rooftop...Was there? Maybe I was just imagining things. The girls were all like 'H-How? How did she break the secrecy seal?' and that." Oneko didn't think before telling you this, seeing it as nothing. She just smiles after her explanation - a naive kind.

"It's weird," you thought to yourself. You seem to be the last to know about this situation. Normally, you should be the first to know and Oneko isn't the brightest mind around. How did she notice this before you? The situation is just too odd, too abnormal. It's almost if everyone was obscuring this from you, deliberately omitting you to know these things, but she...Suzukawa Oneko is too dumb for that. Does she have some supernatural quality such as you?...

"This is why I like you," you say. The comment wasn't entirely a lie since she's situationally useful at times that are unexpected. A moronic dog, predictable and loyal to some degree.

"Shucks, makin' me blush here," scratching the back of her head.

> "Do you have any feelings for Eiji? Just something that I want to know."

"I'll need to ask Albilio about this," you tell yourself. "It's better to get a second opinion."

The second teacher announces that class is going to start, the students that were strewn around returning to their desks. Suzukawa went to hers too, waving a slightly before she turns her head to the front of the class with full attention. However, she falls asleep moments later.

The rest of the classes went as normal. History and literature gave you more time for leisure than actually learning something since you already know most of their topics. To spend the remaining handful of minutes you look outside the window next to you, watching Eiji who was having PE. Before you knew it, time flew by as you were absorbed into your own little world. But it was utterly destroyed when a girl approached him, contorting your face in distaste for the girl. She was shorter than Eiji, cutely petite and shy as she talked with him. Her hair tied in a loose braid, your brother looked enamored, something that he never shown you himself. A flame igniting within your bosom, your mind instantly goes for the worst, imagining all the things to make her regret her choice. "Bitch, bitch, bitch!" you repeatedly sound in your head, glaring daggers at her as she doesn't notice your malice. Eiji too doesn't notice, continuing to converse with her until the end of both your classes.

The school bell rings again, this time for lunch. Students eagerly jump out of their seats to make it first to the cafeteria in the hopes of buying something good to fill themselves. You didn't join the crowd as you brought a homemade lunchbox with you. Eiji also haves one as well, both made by your truly.

"You make that yourself, right, Nawa-san?" Suzukawa asks, taking a bite of a sandwich she bought. "Can I have some?"

She takes a few bites of the mini-hamburg steak, squealing in joy, "It's good! You'd be a seriously good wife."

"Anyway, about those girls. Are any of them in Eiji's class? Does one of them have their hair braided as well?"

"Hmm..." putting a finger on her lip, "I don't think they share the same class...Maybe one of them but that's all I can stretch. And I think one of the girls had a braid...Yeah! She was pretty small. Cute like a doll too!"

Suzukawa then passes your lunchbox, half-eaten...

"Just take the whole box, I'll get something to eat elsewhere. Give it back to me at the end of school."

"Thanks!" Suzukawa says gladly.

Leaving your classroom you enter the school halls, still filled with people that are leaning against that walls and talking. Eiji should be at the rooftop by now right? That's what Oneko said.

Pushing through the crowds of students that block your way, they all easily part like the red sea the moment they see you. At times like these, your appearance and reputation is quite handy. After a long minute or two of navigating the schoo, you find the stairwell that leads to the rooftop. Carefully, you make your way up to the door, peeking slowly through the little window. What you see is Eiji, eating with the aforementioned girls. With him was the now recognizable Fujiwara and Remini, the small girl with a braid. The final girl was almost as equally tall as the braided girl, but with a little more inches. She had shoulder-length hair and a blank expression, texting on her phone at a rapid pace.

Activate the bugs you have on Eiji's person and listen in on their conversation at a distance, or possibly record it for later review.

Meanwhile, find an excuse to ask around discretely after 'those new friends my brother has made'. Perhaps drop in on his classroom, claiming that we're looking to see if our brother wants to accompany us to the cafeteria as we're headed there for a bite ourselves, and then inquire curiously after where he is and who he's with when we're invariably told he isn't there.

Taking out your phone from your skirt's pocket, you activate the hidden bugs that connected to Eiji's phone. You then listen to the transmission, putting your face close to the speaker.

"HQ sent me a message, they said that a nearby forest was decimated. It's probably one of Morgan's monsters," Fujiwara says to the group.

"Maybe, but why would she trash some forest?" Eiji questioned.

"We don't know. Might be because there was something hidden there. Possibly a piece of Mordred's armor."

"Ugh!" cried Remini, "This secret magical girl job is tiring. Ever since we all joined your secret organization, we've been fighting monsters non-stop. Can't we just find that witch already?"

"B-But isn't Morgan powerful?" interjected the braided girl, shyly. "I think we're unprepared."

The quiet girl with the phone spoke up with a quiet voice, "I don't think so. Morgan is pretty weak since she's just escaped from the WMA's headquarters."

"I'm still, confused," Eiji remarked. "Why am I important?"

"It's because you hold the blood of Merlin. If used correctly, you can become one of the world's most powerful wizards, if not the best," explained Fujiwara. "That's why I'm here to claim you as my own, as I'm a descendant of king Arthur. For the sake of this world's peace and the preservation of our bloodline."

"Stop right there!" yelled, Remini, "Eiji's mine! He's more fitting to be my husband and become the part of the Remini family!"

Listening to the conversation, you're just about to crash through the door but what remains of your self-control still keeps you back. "Arthur?! Merlin?! Husband?! These girls are planning to take Eiji!" you screamed inside yourself, your psychotic side of yourself invading your psyche.

Leaving the door in a huff and nearly about to kill someone, you walk your way to Eji's classroom, room 131. There, you ask his guy friends about the four girls, losing their composure within your presence. Their explanation was very much like Suzukawa's, saying that they just showed up. And, like all boys, voiced their wish to have such fortune with woman. When they asked why, you simply told them that you're looking for Eiji to accompany you to the cafeteria to buy something. You then leave the classroom, the boys still excited by your appearance.

You go to the school cafeteria, your hungry now that Suzukawa probably ate your lunchbox with one gulp.

Arriving at the cafeteria, you walk up to the lunch lady at the counter, asking for a few bags of melon bread. The lady obliges, handing it from under the display that shown all sorts of sandwiches and snacks, and waiting for you to give her the money. Digging out your wallet you payed her, taking all three bags of sweetened bread. You were in a bad mood, ripping apart the bags and eating the bread whole one after another once you find a place of privacy, thoroughly stuffing your mouth.

"Who do they think they are, who do they think they are!" you say to yourself, gulping down the bread with on bag remaining. "Eiji's mine! I've cared for him the longest, I've been with him all his life. We're fated! Those girls just see him as some tool!"

Distracted by yourself, you didn't have time to react to Suzukawa who turns around the hall's corner to see you in a rare demeanor. In her hands are your lunchbox, with the intent on giving it to you earlier than you asked before you went off alone.

"It's just to keep me going, I'm perfectly aware of how fattening this stuff can be. But thank you for looking out for me."

"No problem!" Suzukawa exclaimed, "Anyways, I'm also here to pick you up. Lunch is ending soon."

"Yeah, yeah, just wait."

Finishing your lunch, you throw away the wrappers into a nearby trashcan. You left with the lithe girl, returning to your classroom and sitting at your desk again. Moments later, the bell rang, students rushing to their classrooms to meet the deadline before they are marked absent for the next class.

The rest of the day was an ordinary routine, monotonous and boring. Your legs felt jumpy, waiting for the final bell to signal the end of school just like the others. Eyeing the clock, you count down the last sixty seconds. "Fifty, forty-two, twenty-seven, ten, five, three, one..."

The shrill sound of the bell rang throughout the halls, students alike getting out of their chairs and preparing to leave. You too do the same, packing your note and textbooks. Suzukawa, who was seated next to you, was sleeping like earlier, the metallic ringing being nothing to her but a lullaby.

Hanging your bag over your shoulder you stand on Suzukawa's left side.

"Crepe stand," you say to her, leaning over her ear.

Instantly, Suzukawa shoots up, almost hitting you in the process. It was as if she was awake the whole day, her eyes bright with life and full of energy.

"Crepe stand," you repeated to her again.

"Oh, almost forgot about that!" getting out of her chair in a hasty motion. Suzukawa packs what little things she haves and hangs her bag just like yours, "So, are we getting Eiji?"

"Of course. That's the promise you made."

Suzukawa sticks her tongue out, "Ehehe, I remember."

Exiting the classroom, you go back to room 131 and see Eiji talking with his friends, the normal ones. He looks behind himself, seeing that you are waiting for him. Eiji says good-bye to the remaining people with him and meets you by the classroom door, Suzukawa moving aside for him to get through. You tell him that the catty girl is going to take you both to the park to try out the new crepe stand there. Eiji, hearing this, was excited, wondering what they have and serve.

You all soon get out of the the school, the campus gate open wide. Just hours ago, the whole place was bustling with teenagers, now barren as a suburban street at midnight.

Suzukawa smiles, her face becoming cat-like, "Nyehe~! Yup! What's so wrong about that anyway?"

"Y-You know how onee-san can be if it concerns these specific topics," Eiji says to Suzukawa, hushing his voice. "Onee-san is nice but..."

You know, I'd like to imagine our relationship with Oneko could be more complex than just 'she's useful to me'. After all, she's explicitly a childhood friend (of sorts) - but being a friend and being a lackey doesn't really have to be mutually exclusive.

It's quite possible that rather than coming to the realization that she cares quite a bit about Oneko, Hanano instead tells the adversary who's in the middle of trying to make her realize that she's more human than she had previously known and therefore should be on the same side: "Of COURSE I care about her, you fucking asshole!"

"I know you're worried but everything's fine, Onee-san. They're perfectly normal."

"Really?..."

"Yes, really!"

"If you say so..."

Detaching yourself from Eiji, you go alongside him. His nervous answers proves the opposite of his lies as you already know who he's been with. You just need that little sliver of information, just one detail from one of the four. Then, you can start after dark.

"You know, I never asked this but you're really affectionate to Eiji. Like, clingly," Suzukawa remarked, leaving Eiji out of the conversation. "Sometimes make me think that your love is above sisterly."

You're assuming Hanano must be a flat two-dimensional yandere that works only in cliches. My point is that she can be - and would probably be far more compelling if she is - a more complex character than that.

She doesn't have to be just a walking stereotype. Within the setting at least, she didn't suddenly appear, fully formed with all her obsession straight from nothing. She's a girl, with her own life and her own past experiences that have molded her up till this point.

"Yeah, I can be clingy at times. I just sometimes fear that there will come a time where I might never see a loved one again because of some nasty accident. Life's never truly fair to anyone."

Suzukawa shrugs, "I think I understand. It's just that you look very different from your brother."

"I can see why, but I can confidently say that we're fully related to each other."

"Onee-san gets that question a lot, often being confused for a foreigner, " Eiji says. "I think about it as well but it doesn't matter in the end."

"That I can agree. Genetics is too hard for me, seriously, how can people have that as their profession?" Suzukawa jests.

All three lose yourselves within the conversation, enough so that you barely notice stepping into the park grounds. You were familiar with the place, often going here to play along with Eiji when you were kids. Suzukawa was a different case in that she started visiting here when she met you, and now had become a spot where you usually gather.

Suzukawa points to a stand at the far corner, pulling her wallet from her bag and walking over to it. You and Eiji follow her, forcing yourselves to pick up pace as Suzukawa's excitement makes her more speedy. Reaching the stand, you browse the menu, telling the her to get a chocolate strawberry and banana. Eiji picks one with salad and meat inside while Suzukawa herself gets herself a double chocolate. The man at the stand took the catty girl's money with a polite smile, making the crepes before all of you in a flash and giving your respective orders one at a time. You pick a bench that faced the child playground, eating in general silence.

"Want to trade, Eiji? One bite of mine for yours."

"Eh? Oh, s-sure," your brother bashfully says.

Biting into Eiji's crepe, the tender meat coupled with lettuce and other vegetable coats your mouth in a delectable flavor. In return, you raised your hand that was holding yours to Eiji who took a small bite in comparison.

Suzukawa whistled, "If I didn't know any better, I'd think of you two as a couple already."

You roll your hips to show them off to him, the suppleness of your thighs putting pressure on his own legs.

He diverts his eyes away from your lower-half of your body, "I-I think I'm fine with how we are right now."

You stop your minor advance, straightening yourself out on the bench. For the rest of the time, you three finish your crepe's throwing the wrappings away and splitting off to each other's houses. Just about when Suzukawa left the park, she said good-bye to the both of you, going her own way down the street. You too start your way to your house, reaching it in no time with nothing to stop you.

Closing the front door, you and Eiji take off your shoes. The windows let in an orange light from the afternoon sun, alone by yourselves as both of your parents are out for work. After a while, you hear the bathroom door creak open, closing with a clink as Eiji locks the door. Been thinking more about this, and I realized:

Okay, so...what do we do if he spills it to us and then we're like 'okay' and we somehow manage to talk him out of liking any of them? I mean, at that point it'd kinda be 'mission accomplished' for us, but what about the others and Morgan Le Fay's bullshit?
>>
>>2970922
The girls still want him so our interests with Morgan still align.
>>
>>2970922
The girls need to die they are pursuing him, worst of all they only want him for his possible magic. Then we kill Morgan because lets face it she is a danger to our brother.
>>

They're still a threat because they want to turn our brother into a sperm deposit unit.

>>2970938
Fair enough.
>>
>>2970922
It isn't just about making him like us or not like other girls. It's about keeping him safe and making sure he's happy.

Remember, we didn't kill Eri back at the start of the thread out of jealousy. The reason (as said to her corpse; for all intents and purposes our true feelings) was that she 'accidentally showed me how dangerous you are to Eiji.'

If we think these girls might pose a threat to Eiji, we would gladly drag them with us into hell to protect him. We'd stain ourselves in blood to keep him clean.

And if it comes down to it, I think we'd rather he hate us but live in peace than love us but be miserable.
>>

We still kill them because they still want to fuck our dear brother.

"Your onee-san is strong, have confidence. I'll be sure to stay safe and protect you."

Eiji, for a moment, fell silent. Reflecting on himself, the only sound within the bathroom was your scrubbing. He then steeled himself, shaking his head left to right.

"You're...You're right," he proclaimed, "The thing is, and you might no believe it, that we've been fighting a dangerous person. There's this organization too that I'm a part of now. At first, I came across the four of them in a bad situation and managed to help, and now, we're friends and stuff."

Eiji gave a weak laugh, a genuinely friendly one when he looked back upon the past.

Like a uneasy feeling when you stare at a house that's at the end of the street. I shook it off and thought it was nothing, but there was..." Eiji stops momentarily, resuming when he finds a word to replace what he was going to say, "But there was this man. He didn't look like a man at all though, he was some sort of animal, horns and a tail sticking out from him. At that time, I immediately knew when to run, bolting from there as fast as I can. The man..ish thing was catching up to me, and when I thought that I was going to get caught, they came. All three of them somehow managed to...'drive him off', helping me back up. And until then, the same thing repeated itself, sometimes in the morning and sometimes in the night. I won't lie, I became paranoid then. It was then that they offered me to join them, most of the members - one or two - being new themselves. I accepted, not knowing what I was getting myself into, but during my time with them I found out that I have something that's highly coveted...All in all, that's the short version of it."

Eiji turns around to face you in his seat, waving his hands to dismiss your assumption, "No, no, they aren't like the yakuza or anything. They're pretty widespread all over the world, wokring in mysterious ways. Believe me, I was surprised when they knew all about us."

"Us?..."

"Er, y-yeah. It's not bad, onee-san, they aren't using it for corrupt purposes. It's just that we have something special like I said earlier. It's a bit unsettling, not going to lie but they're good."

"Is spying on people good?"

"I mean...I think it depends on the circumstance. Anyways, the organization is...If I remember...WMA? Yeah, WMA, world's magic association. They handle stuff that's out of the norm, and things that governments cannot handle. Fujiwara-san and Otobe-san were the two who recruited us, the first person to join being Remini-san and the last being me and Aeki-san."

First steps for our little bro is
1. He is not a hero. And he must NOT be a hero. Considering she has 4 girls hounding him like a piece of meat his ego grows by a lot making doing dumb things that we don't want him to place himself into.
2. Ease him not to socialize with the girl much. Make him imply that he is just using him for their own ends without his feelings whether he likes it or not.
3. Protect himself first before others. This is just my own opinion. This could be one moment of weakness from himself and we gonna protect our little bro.
4. Slowly implant some little hatreds. Show him that even though they are fighting the bad guy they can't save even a civillian who got caught in a crossfire. This will change his mind and possibly break with the girls.

I have a lot of scenarios in my mind that i want to manipulate to our little brother but for now this is what i think of. We need to make it very subtle for him not to notice. The girls will bitch about it blaming it to someone and hopefully Eiji knows their dirt.

You get up from the bathroom's floor, stretching your legs, "Hm, they better not be leading you into anything dangerous. You don't deserve that; I mean, you are still a teenager you know, but you will make the rest of your family worry, me included."

"I know, I know, onee-san. I'll try to get out of trouble."

"Good! Then I think talking about this is enough for now," the atmosphere becoming more comfier, "It's time to relax, want me to start filling the tub, Eiji?"

"Sure."

Taking a few steps towards the tub, you bend over to turn on the water. You forgot that you were wearing a towel, Eiji becoming redder than a cherry. This wasn't planned but you liked how this accidentally came to be.Pulling down the towel to cover your lower half more, you then test the water's temperature. It was perfectly warm, the steam turning the whole bathroom into a sort of sauna. Taking off the towel, you go inside, the water rising as volume is added. Eiji was just standing in the middle of the room, frozen.

"What are you waiting for? Come," you say, raising a hand to usher your brother in.

Eiji beckons to you warily, conscious about the difference between man and woman between you two while he enters the warm water. Now in front of you, your breast and thighs touch against his backside. Eiji tries to tenses his body but the steam along with the perspiration on his skin relaxes him so, falling back into you. Now, it's just you two within the bathroom that's thorough in steam, the sound of cars faintly leaking through the window at the top of the wall.

"It's so quiet, Eiji. It's really...Peaceful. Don't you want things to stay like this forever?" you softly voice, the steam making you a tad bit woozy. "You know I love you, and that I'll do anything for it, right?"

Wrapping your arms around your brother, you pull him into you more. He tries to get up, lifting his upper-half of her body but fails to do so, giving up and letting you hug him. Knowing his defeat, you then start snuggling Eiji, you body sticking onto him, it's a rare time for things to be like this and you're not going to waste it.

"I know you love me, Onee-san. Sometimes, I too seek this tranquil state but wouldn't that be boring? And if I don't like it you would probably change it because of such. That's how you've always been, Onee-san, doing things to please me."

A light fear creeps into your head, scared of what he's trying to say to you - what you think he's trying to say to you. "D-Do you possibly...Hate me for it?" you question with uncertainty.

"It's alright, Onee-san, it's okay. Don't worry, I know how you can go downhill if I say things like that, heha..." Eiji, putting out a pathetic and small laugh. "It's just when I look back at things, you've done everything to make me happy, you know? Even when we were kids. And, to be truthful, at times you can be scary. But I doubt you have anything malicious in you, no, it's the love you give that can be scary. Though, it's not like you're going around murdering people - murdering girls that I come into contact with. I like your personality, so...Don't...Change?-- I mean in a good way."

Don't make promises we won't keep, and don't lie to him meaninglessly. We'll do everything to make sure he's happy even if it makes him hate us or makes him sad in the process.
>>
>>2972297
Also it occurs to me that, if the girls aren't bullshitting Eiji, and they are actually agents of a global organization, we have bigger problems than just killing the four of them.

When their operatives go missing, they're invariably going to send additional teams in to investigate the disappearances, which will cause our (and, more importantly, Eiji's) problems to snowball.

In order to ensure Eiji's safety, we're eventually either going to have to entirely wipe out anyone who has an interest in whatever ability Eiji has inherited; or else find a way to remove from Eiji whatever property they're interested in, after which they should move on to more attractive targets.

Hanano does not know the meaning of half-measures.

Ok,... so we can't kill the girls right away because that will alarm our brother and turn the organization against us. What about the next best thing then?

We turn them into our thralls.

They can't be a threat if they are under our control and they won't raise any alarm because they will still be doing their jobs(albeit as best as we let them). Then little by little we will remove them from the map until we can kill them without anybody giving a damn.
>>
>>2972356
Morgan specified 'kill or apprehend' as our part of the bargain. Either we do so and raise those alarms, or go against Morgan without knowing how closely she's watching us.

Admittedly, we'll likely end up going against her anyway, but ideally we don't do so while we're still completely green.

Then again, those girls did suppose that Morgan might still be weak after just escaping, so perhaps now might be the best time to try to overthrow her shit.
>>
>>2972356
Make them "commit suicide". In public with a lot of witnesses, a suicide note and a beliable motive.
>>
>>2972367
But if they are under our control they are effectively apprehended (in a mental way). The moment Morgan tries to raise Mordred we can fake a little fight where our girls lose and we are done with it. Or on the other hand if Morgan tries to back stab us, it would become a 5 vs 1 fight and we might win or at least manage to escape.

>those girls did suppose that Morgan might still be weak after just escaping
I'm betting on that their information is wrong. A smart opponent will fake weakness in order to lure their prey into a false sense of security.

>>2972376
That might work too.
>>
So I guess we're not going to prod on his feelings for us?

Wait, did you mean actively applying some kind of magical compulsion on them?

Do we even have that capability? Let alone sufficient aptitude for it not to be found out or foiled?

>>2972379
>I'm betting on that their information is wrong. A smart opponent will fake weakness in order to lure their prey into a false sense of security.
A distinct possibility. I don't really favor betting blindly on unknowns, and I would guess Hanano wouldn't either.
>>
>>2972386
>I think that most of us already have that suspicion in the backs of our mind. But you are forgetting that we also have the blood of merlin flowing within our veins and with that all the capacity to become the best witch ever, so there might be a third option there.

>>2972393
>Wait, did you mean actively applying some kind of magical compulsion on them?
I was thinking something like that combined with the "Friendship bracelets"and maybe some psychological coercion. You know, everything that we can do so that when one measure fails, we have more backups to rely upon.

>Do we even have that capability? Let alone sufficient aptitude for it not to be found out or foiled?
No to either of those, but we definitely have the potential and we could begin testing our powers on our unsuspecting classmates and our dumb friend.
>>
This seems like a fun quest.

So are we going to ask Morgan about this? Or just start immediately plotting against her? We now have an IC reason to believe that she may be a direct threat to Eiji's life now. She's the one with animal-like minons, after all. And if she's not after his life now, why did that change?
>>
>>2972408
i'm gonna play devil's advocate for a while and argue that Eiji ran when he saw the lizard because he was taken by surprise. In comparison we didn't because we were caught dumping a body and had no real way of escape. The lizard would have probably followed us too if we had ran, so i think this was a misunderstanding from Eiji's side rather than Morgan trying to skewer our brother.
>>
>>2972399
My concern is that we don't know how big a fish we are in this new pond, or how closely we're being monitored. Our practice out in the forest has already drawn their attention, and I worry that attempting to experimenting with our new powers might give us away.

I'm considering how we could subtly contact them in such a way that doesn't immediately put us against them in a head-to-head lightshow. Some way that allows us to, without attracting Morgan's attention, open a channel of communication with the girls and start playing both sides against each other.

It occurs to me that, if we're somehow strong enough, our endgame might be proposing that we work for the WMA under the condition that they stay the fuck away from Eiji.

>>2972408
We could try confronting her about this and demanding that she stays away from Eiji if she wants us to keep working for her. Feels like something Hanano might to do?
>>
>>2972431
>It occurs to me that, if we're somehow strong enough, our endgame might be proposing that we work for the WMA under the condition that they stay the fuck away from Eiji.

Hell, since magic is in the bloodline, they may even officially support us getting to keep Eiji. One generation of incest isn't going to be harmful and might help draw out any latent traits.
>>
>>2972433
we can have that idea on the backburner. for now we need to assess the current threats to our happiness. The girls who are planning to use our brother as a cum dispenser and Morgan. Remember both of us have Merlin’s blood, so theres no doubt that Morgan would try to get rid of us. If we come in contact with Morgan and her pet lizard make sure to play stupid on our ancestry, last thing we need is her knowing that we know. If anything we should see if theres possibly a way to make a clean sweep of both parties, I mean at some point they are going to clash, maybe we can pretend to be a double agent...

"Of course! Everything for you!" you spouted, giggling. Just him saying that is enough to throw you into an ecstatic fit.

Eiji's face turns calm, the ends of his mouth curving, "Thanks..."

Wallowing in the bath, you soon get out to dry. It was still as awkward for Eiji when you wipe the water off yourself, watching you attentively until you rewrap the towel around you. He then dries himself as well, hurrying. Looking back at him you take in the sight, Eiji's bare body being a sweet treat to yours eyes.

Done, you both exit the bathroom door, the steam rolling onto the ground as if it was still liquid. Going into your rooms, you then start to change into more leisurable clothes. The sun was just setting, the previously orange sky now a vivid mixture of pink and other warm hues.
