"Cheru honey, I was working in the basement when we got back and I made a twin with my magic. You now have a new aunt," I said placidly, making sure she understands. I then look to Iza who's tunic is essentially about to rip at the seams, ""Iza dear, are you alright in my clothes? It seems as if you're about to die on the spot from asphyxiation."

"Hm? This?" Iza said, tugging the tight cloth that wrapped around her. "There isn't much of a problem--"

Fen interrupts the conversation, "Don't just act like everything's normal! There's two mothers!"

"T-To clarify, I'm Lana's alter ego made from light magic," Kala spoke up, modest. "Your now my nieces and nephew."

"You certainly do look exactly the same...aunt," says Yoshka, examining Kala afar. "Is there perhaps a way to differentiate you and mother?"

Anyone got a good idea to differentiate looks? My only immediate idea is having Kala change hair style. Simple, but kinda uninspired

Shuffling myself towards Iza along with Cheru, I stroked the cloth as I made her clothes enough to fit her. The topside loosened and the skirt was then able to cover most of her hind, settling for a somewhat decent appearance.

"That's better," putting my hands together as I look Iza up and down. "Now we won't worry about it ripping."

"Thanks?" Iza said uncertainly but still with gratitude.

"No problem, Dear." I then beckoned Kala to me by the bed, placing Cheru beside me, "Come, let's show Cheru how to make a braid."

Kala takes the place on Cheru's right side, sandwiching her between us, "Cheru's hair is getting long."

"Nn, yes, Auntie. Cheru wants to be like both of you!"

"That's fun to hear, Cheru," Kala, smiling.

"Do you want two or one?" I asked, dividing her hair into parts.

"Just one."

"Okay. It might take a while since our hair is long ourselves," starting to braid hers.

Slowly, I interconnected the ebony strands that were as unkept as mine. Throughout it all, I showed Cheru every step on how to do hers, teaching her for the day that when her own hair is long herself. It was a meticulous task, but enjoyable, the weaves flipping upon each other as my hands glided down to the very end.

"How is it?" I said towards Kala. "Not too tight?"

"It's just right, may be on the looser side but it's good for me."

Content, I turned to Yoshka, "Did you wash yourselves while I was gone again? Me and auntie already had a bath."

"Yes, Mother. Iza almost slipped a few times but we got everyone cleaned up."

"It's either because of her two sacks of fat, hehaha~!" Fen laughed.

"Shut up shorty," Iza shot back.

"Who you calling short?!"

"Oh, sorry, sister, do you prefer 'cutting board' instead," covering a grin behind her hand.

"I have work tomorrow at Lionheart academy, and I was promised that I can bring you guys to learn there. Anyone interested? I also can teach you magic here if you don't want to go there."

"Cheru wants to go," peeped the bunny girl.

"Me too," Fen said. "It's something to do. Besides, little sisters needs someone to lookout for her."

"Than I'll tag along as well. Someone needs to lookout for Fen," Yoshka said next. "What about you Iza?"

Iza shrugged. "Sure, why not."

"I definitely thought that at least one of you would stay," thought Kala.

"Well it's not a problem is it? The more the merrier," I told her. "I have a few idea to do about the students. New toys~!" shining my teeth.

"Just don't break them, Lana. They are nobles."

"Aye~!" I playfully said, sweeping both her and Cheru in my arms and backwards into my bed. "What are you waiting for? Get yourselves tucked in with me children."

Yoshka turned into a wyrm, a form that he hasn't been in a for while, a gentleman's bow tied around the neck area of his. He coiled beneath the pillow as Fen and Izu joined us under the sheets. Thankfully, the bed was big enough to hold all six of us, maybe even more. Cheru was on my right and to my left was...

Cheru was on my right and on my left was Kala, hugging me at the waist as we both watched over Cheru who was hugging Fen's tail, all bunched up in the middle. The little bunny's face was happy, cuddling with her sister who bared the sensation that comes up every time Cheru rubs it the wrong way. On the opposite end was Iza, Yoshka's head peeking out of under her pillow in a peaceful look.

It was a sight that brought a snug feeling to me and Kala, looking to each other and exchanging a light laugh as we too went to bed, observing the children before us.

Side-story
Titania's PoV

Deep within my study, I huddled against the fireplace, crackling softly but uncontrollably as the wood burnt and fell into ash. By this time I should be in my bedroom; however I found myself wide awake as the moon perched itself on the horizon, the dark sky twinkling with numerous stars. It was a quiet I was never used to, a lonely quiet all for the sake of this kingdom...

Knock, knock

Pulling me back into the present and from my wandering mind, a person sounded the door; knocking onto the wood in a erratic rhythm. I got up from my chair by the fireplace, seeing to who is alarmed at this hour.

"Your majesty, thank goodness I found you," the person at the door said, a messenger.

"Speak quickly, I haven't time for personal introductions."

"O-Of course your majesty," giving me a letter. "Do read it, it's from general Jago."

That bonehead? Will he scold me in this paper too? "Good. Now leave, you're excused."

"T-Thank you," he said, bowing before exiting back into the corridor.

Closing the door with an unruly fashion it slammed loudly; I myself did not care for everyone in the night should be sleeping heavily. Opening the envelope with but my finger, I ripped it open to get to the paper nestled inside. Skimming through it like one as bored as I am, but with an extra motive of personally not liking Jago, I read the contents in speedily.

Right when I was about to put down the letter, it then caught my eye, a piece of news that I've never expect.

"Other than the black poison, Titania, we've found that there was numerous sightings of your sister. She has entered the battlefield in clear daylight, following the five heroes into battle. I know very well of what transpired between the two of you so I thought to tell you of this first, well...third. His majesty Eresh and Merilia know as well but other than that, the news is kept secret."

I reread the paragraph over and over. My sister, Ellina?! After running away this is where she was and doing?!

I rubbed my eyes as fatigue fell upon me, falling back into my chair and pouring myself some wine, "If only she believed in me..."

Side-story end

Like every morning, I woke up a bit earlier than everyone else. Kala too was like this, sharing another similarity between us, and so, we got out of bed. With the both of us, we alarmed all the children on the bed, all waking in varying degrees of attitude. Cheru right away heeded us, happily getting out of bed to help, Yoshka as well following suit. On the other hand, Fen took a while to wake up since her habit of oversleeping is near comatose levels of drowsiness. Iza was too like this, both of them intertwined between their limbs as they sleep through the burning daylight, only waking through a concentrated effort from both me and Kala.

Everyone getting ready, they changed into their respective uniforms. I didn't however, as I donned the purple dress, coupled with a shawl and veil. We met Marianne after that in the dining room, waiting for her since she was still exercising out in the courtyard, wearing the all too familiar armor set.

"You're wearing a different outfit?" Marianne said at the table, forking a piece of bread into her mouth. "It's a lot more mature than I expected."

Upon finishing breakfast, we immediately went our way outside. The carriage awaited us there, parked in front of the morning grass, dew hanging on each blade. Once we got inside the coachman made the horses trot, progressing into a steady speed towards a different path the split from the main road to Aliasa. My magic bag was sitting on the side of my leg and against the wall of the coach so Cheru could take her place on my lap.

"The campus is entirely on a different location than the capital I assume?" I asked Marianne.

"Yes, it has its own private grounds granted by the state. And it being a school for nobles it has a lot of similarities to the upper district. I think you'll be fine without me there to help."

"Should we be worried?" Kala said. "How big is the campus?"

"It's pretty huge but it's not like a maze," Marianne answered.

We returned to observing the road, the giant walls that protected the capital city like some crude shell. I could make some assumptions on how efficient it is but I don't wholly know, it's just some long pile of stones that were carved into such a shape. Maybe by mages or perhaps by normal stonemasons and construction workers.

Seeing the walls pass by us as its lifeless structure stood tall and strong, the main road we were following split off into another dirt path that was equally as large as the previous one. Beyond there was the academy, its gates viewed small from afar. Like its own little Aliasa, it was decorated and fashion of the city's likeness all the while leaving out the "commoner" aspect of things. Clean-cut stones, marbles, and steel served as the school's foundation and design as if it was polished yesterday or this morning.

Inside, my first-hand explanation proved true; many of nobility's children strolling through building to building, a block of fancily made dorms being the source of the activity. I was the one to exit outside of the carriage first, leading my company behind me. Just by stepping on the chiseled ground caused my shoes to clack, goes to show how much effort it was to make this place.

"Good-luck," Marianne said when we were all out of the coach. "I'll return once the day hits afternoon. That should be the time when classes are over for the day."

Me and Kala bowed, "Thank you, Mistress. See you soon."

"Hope you'll be okay without us, we know how excited you can be~"

"Er, y-yeah," said Marianne, flustered as the coachman closed the door for her.

Out of the window, Marianne looked out to us and gave a final wave before the carriage turned itself towards Aliasa. We waved as well, stopping until the carriage shrank and shrank over the horizon, completely disappearing.

"Lana," asked Kala.

"Yes?"

"Now that mistress is gone, how much trouble will we be in?"

"Lighten up a little. We got new toys to play with~!" hailing my arms. "Besides, if anything happens you can rely on me, sister."

"I guess that's true..."

"It is true! Now come on, gather the children."

Telling the kids that we're going, we head off into the academy. The eyes of the students were attracted to us at once when we walked through the halls. Whispering, assuming, speculating; am I a noble? If not then why would four maids and a butler follow me? Why does a veil cover me? All these little words coming from their hushed voices ensued an energy, my mouth trembling with excitement. Each different face displaying a different emotion, varying to indifferent to the deathly curious. the students dared not to approach me as I was not a normal staff member, they can already see it as my children demi-human - not true demi-humans but monsters reshaped into a human image.

That all comes at a stop when I took a moment to where I'm suppose to be. They should have a training grounds like the Palad headquarters or adventurer's guild do they not, a school yard?

Navigating through the walkways and corridors while keeping a stern facade in the face of the students passersby, we went to find another teacher in the hopes of where I'm suppose to be. On the way, I managed to find an office - or at least I think it is - that held an amount of grown men and woman that are beyond my age, 20 or so and above, well...for one exception. They instantly took notice of me and my entourage, none on both parties moving, just looking.

The office room itself was built for work, many pairs of desks and shelves made into their own area with each teacher residing in them. At the front of the room was a full view of the front of the campus, a ways afar from where I first arrived. As professional as this place was, their was only a select few of people, or teachers in this matter that filled the desks, all presently gazing upon my figure.

The teachers was an odd bunch at first glance. Not crazy but an interesting mix of personnel.

Striding towards the loli in the lab coat, she tries to study my veil as it hides my face completely, backing up once I've reached her desk. Her hair was as white as snow, a black headband dressed on her head. Other than the lab coat that draped her body, she wore a simple and modest blue dress.

"Hey wai--" said the well-dressed man in glasses, but was stopped halfway when the more muscular one of the two gripped his shoulder.

The woman with the dark atmosphere around her steered clear from me, but was piqued nonetheless. As such, she took out a notebook and started writing rapidly, her head going up and down from the book to me.

"W-What do you want?!" said the girl, her right hand reaching over her in a defensive position.

"Kehaha!, ah, I beg your pardon," the girl's flare inducing a chuckle out of me. "Me and my sister are the new teachers here. The high-priestess, Olivia, should've talked about me."

The well-dress man speaks up, the one who's gripping him letting go, "Don't tell me...You're the new teacher?!"

"Y-Yes!" peeped Kala. "Us both."

"Sisters? One of you is in a maid's uniform and the other is some witch!" shouted the girl, making Cheru glare at her with a murderous stare.

"My, that attitude very much opposes you're stature," I commented. "Anyways, we're here as a combat-instructor for the students. We wanted to know where we should go."

"I know," said the muscular man.

Digging into a cabinet he took out a folder, looking into the contents. After a brief period of time he then put places back the folder, facing me again.

"Classroom 14. Also the academy training grounds," he then said quietly, sitting back at his desk.

While Viviie was having a crisis, I took it upon myself to show my skill.

"Kala, mind if I alter your clothes?"

"Right now? But there's people here."

"It'll be fine," pinching the fabric of Kala's maid uniform. "My magic always worked~"

The uniform glowed faintly, changing into a different style and color, the eyes focusing on my performance as the dress becomes a light that wrapped around Kala. Once it dispersed, the maid's uniform was no more and now it was a dress akin to mine. The fabric was soft, colored a soft vanilla white that was very much different from me. The sleeves, shoulders, and rims of every opening of the dress was decorated with ruffles, further portend its pillow-likeness.

"All done, wasn't so bad was it?"

Kala felt around her before answering me, "Y-Yes, but I wish we didn't do it in front of them."

"I apologize. Like I said before I'm Seria, I teach magic here. A-And you?"

"My name is Lana, this here sister with the now white dress is Kala," I then turn to my children, "These are my children Cheru, Fen, Yoshka, And Izanami."

It wouldn't hurt to ask her down the line once we get settled in and get our metaphorical feet wet with the teaching. I mean heck, we wouldn't need to bring up appraising because of how obvious she looks concerning her stats and the fact that she's not really a combat teacher unlike Heldom.
>>
I will also bring up the fact that Cheru also does not really have anything in terms of stats, with only having heroic NPC like strength due to her insanity skill.
>>

Cheru does have 6 str though, as a, what, 8 or so years old child. In a lot of rpg systems, having 0 strength is weird.. In think it's the first time we see it, and I aint gonna trust it untill i get an explanation
>>
>>2939873
It is interesting to see this in action. It's also why I want to be polite to her so that she will open up to us about herself.
Considering how the Appraise skill seems to show off more of the combat side of stats (since it shows only defense, not a person's constitution) since we're supposed to be one of the 6 heroes that is supposed to kill the Demon King, I would not be surprised if it registered Viviie as a easy kill because of this.

I trust Seria's stats
>>2940318
>>
>>2940318
I think it's how we, the players see the stats in context of what we can do.

To make a different comment to elaborate in a half assed manner, we're essentially an newly created Solar exalted character from the Exalted RPG sent into a mid powered Dungeons and Dragons setting. It explains pretty much a fuck ton of shit we can do, like just developing spells out of thin air, growing stats and skill naturally just through good old fashion hard work to on a whim, and having literal god given powers that give us a unnatural edge over 95% of the setting.
>>
>>2940334

Oh and the whole Limit Break thing where the character itself just goes batshit crazy from all the mental stress accumulating over time. That was another that stuck out to me in this quest.

>>2940366
I mean in that we're essentially superhuman and thus we believed that as we're starting out that we're extremely close to what a normal human has for stats (the keyword being normal, as in standard baseline human), we did not bother to Appraise the local peasantry or commonfolk because of this.
There is also a thing that should considered that it was mentioned at one point that the stats themselves are not a hard baseline but instead a potential for what a person can do (More akin to a % chance like in the old XCOM games or Call of Cthulhu) when a person is undergoing a difficult challenge. The higher it is, the better chances you have at beating more difficult challenges and so on.
This might be a big reason why we're cautious/paranoid/concerned/confused about meeting someone who has literally 1 point in a stat and nothing else. Because we're so damn used to being around heroic NPCs that go out and do shit instead of staying within the safety of civilization and metaphorically eat Bon-Bons all day.

That is what I meant.

"Ah, in that case I won't be too hard on you. I want us all to be friends after all," joining Kala and my children again.

"Sure, just come with me. Luckily, I know most of the academy so reaching your classroom won't be hard for me," Fionn said, going outside the door.

"How nice of you~ Hope we get along good," I said to the remaining others.

Heldom grunted, "Yes."

Viviie didn't say anything under her confusion, but pats her chest whilst looking Iza when we were about to go. "how can someone live with such things..." she muttered towards the spider girl.

"Me too," Seria said as well, pulling back a line of hair that went between her eyes only to fall back in place again. "My room as class 13, maybe we can talk about magic then."

Fionn waited for all of us, closing the door at leading us down the hallway where we went from. He was very thorough with the tour, showing where the cafeteria is and its menu - The food being very fancy, much more than what Marianne eats. Next was the training grounds that was behind the whole academy, a whole place that was almost equal in size with it. Back inside the main body, Fionn then took us to our classroom, number 14, just a ways back from the field.

The classroom was much like a lecture hall but smaller. Each row was of five seats on four sets f stairs, twenty in total within the whole room. They all faced the front with a long connected desk too, a chalkboard and another table with a chair facing back. The children went and inspected the room themselves, finding it to be satisfying.

Fionn coughed, "Since the students are coming soon, I couldn't show all of Lionheart. I hope this is to your liking for your time here, Miss Lana."

"Then I will not linger here any longer. Good-luck to you, Miss Lana, Miss Kala, and your time here at Lionheart," Fionn said, exiting the room. "Also, if you need anything I'm at room 20."

With all six of us alone in the class, the bustling of many voices started to sound behind the door. Cheru has already claimed the chair next to the table and Fen was sitting on the table itself. Yoshka was looking out the window, observing the steady flow of students before coming back by the front. Iza too joined Yoshka in position, both ready for when the door opens.

Lightly, many nobleborns started to fill the room, taking their seats on the select four rows. Soon, all of the chairs was filled, the students looking at us in perplexity but in silence. They dared not speak a word as I was new here and that my outfit and children was peculiar themselves.

'Is this the new teacher?', 'Why does she wear a veil?', 'Are those her servants?', 'Hey, are they sisters? They're both hot.', 'Shut up.' 'That butler is handsome...' 'Children servants?'

Walking towards the stage of seats, Cheru got off the chair and followed me. One by one going up each step, I pointed at each person to tell their name. Many of which that I have appraised barely had any experience and levels in magic, or knew one spell which was either fire or water creation.

On the very last row, the final student was a quiet folk, her voice tinged with nervousness.

"And you?" I asked towards this young girl.

"Y-Yes, Natalie Pole of the Pole barony. I...Don't know magic," she said in a distraught manner.

Done, I go down the stairs again, petting Cheru along the way. Me and Kala exhanged glances, Kala immediately knowing what I'm thinking and grinning awkwardly because so.

"Now that introductions are out of the way, start going to the training grounds," I instructed, Iza opening the class' door for me.

The whole classes riled up in confusion. "Isn't this just another magic class?" they spoke among themselves, lining down the room and out into the hall. I snickered under my veil; only I know what's going on and their faces truly put a show for me, Kala however was more sympathetic about their fates, nicely greeting each student by the door.

Out into the field, the class found their way to a set of benches under an overhang. My company stood before them for I had a little 'exam' for them to follow. Near the benches was an arms storage full of weapons and such; swords placed in stands, shields hung on the walls, and many other blades.

"Students, take a guess to who you're going to fight~ I want everyone to pick up a sword, and if you want, a shield. We're starting an exam," I announced, causing more turmoil within the students. "Let's see where you're all laicking, everything goes for you all, ufufu~"

Unsure, the students did as I told, arming themselves with the same uniform swords. They then lined up in front of me, lookong onto each other as they shared a common disturbance. Kala did her best to calm them down but the effort was somewhat successful. The last person to form was the same girl, Natalie Pole, struggling to hold up her own blade as she resorted to used both of her hands to hld it. A handful of kids made fun of her, poking at her weakness.

"Okay students, this is how it'll work. I'll be selecting a personage of my own and it'll be your goal to defeat him or her. You can all attack together, form groups, or go one at a time, everything goes."

A male student raised their hand, speaking, "Isn't this a magic class like room 13?"

"Fufu~ Yes, it is. But this magic class is very diffferent, and you should know soon."

"I didn't sign up for this!" said another student, a girl pouting.

"Yeah! Why should nobles like us partake in this activity," twice another said.

"S-Sister, things aren't looking good..." Kala forewarned eagerly, trying to keepthe students down and wait.

Tristant stepped forward, "Who do you think you are? Should I remind you that we don't have to listen to those under us?"

"Well if your so discontent with this then please, go elsewhere. I have no need for fools in my class," I answered, Cheru sticking her tongue at him behind me.

Giving them a chance to leave none of the students did so out of eneasiness or pride. Some looked at me with anger, some with shame.

"N-No ones going?" Kala said.

"Seems so. Now that we have straightened things out I'll pick the person to carry out the exam."

With my sudden declaration, the students were left in the dark. They eventually started to charge at me one of the time en masse, some in group while others went in solo. For the time being, I was only dodging their sloppy sword strikes, too slow and too clumsy.

I went and shouted at Kala whose anxiety was showing profusely, "Sister! Be sure to heal them if they get injured, things will get a bit messy."

"What do you mean messy?!" she shouted back but agreeing in the end.

Within the fray I shot up a ball of light that blew into a blind. Everyone in the surrounding area were forced to cover their eyes which gave me enough time to craft an illusion on myself, turning me into something fitting in my role.

My breast and butt filled me, a tail appearing on my hind as my body changed. My hex markings disappeared, being replaced by bigger tattoos that was drawn on my skin. Two horns curved forward like a sheep's, my current dress changing into a different wear that was most revealing, leaving the veil untouched.

At that point all the male students gawked at me while the females were left to themselves. Took a while to get them running again by the opposite sex, resuming the battle enactment.

Done with dodging I decided that it's my turn, raising an earthen wall behind them with [Clay Earth]. I lunged in to the students, trying my best not to hurt them gravely while Kala did her part in maintaining them. My repeated use of illusions and [Glorious Shine] caused havoc on the field, enabling them to fight back.

"Wait," Iza said in a wonder.

"Is something wrong, Sister?" Yoshka asked.

"For a while now, I haven't been able to use [Illusion]...Is that why?"

"Mother, if I recall, can steal a whole lot of things. That must be why."

This but without rigging it to be in Port's favor because that might also give her the wrong impression, and will make her be a potential target for bullying even more.
Now giving a heart to heart talk in privacy for a couple minutes and give her a pep talk. Now that will work since she's fully concentrated on what you're saying to her and we can let her know that we can help her to learn how to cast magic.

>> Stop attack and restore yourself and the field
Yeah, too much stimulus in more than a way. They should know who's the daddy here.
>>
>>2941861
I suppose that can be a good explanation for stopping since we have to also do more than just beating up kids all day long.

> Stop attack and restore yourself and the field
I believe that's enough, we still gotta teach them something and not just beat them, maybe a taunt them a little before stopping, something along the lines of what >>2941843 said.
I oppose to the idea that we let the Port girl win, there's a big chance that we just end up painting a big target on her back for bullying, instead we should encourage her to be less shy, but not at this moment maybe
>>
>>2941827
>>2941861
This.

now that we have shown how good one can get, they should know the lvl difference, hopefully this motivates them to want more.

Now we should begin nurturing their magic. I want them to succeed. But since we are already in the training field, why not have them practice magic? Hopefully we can use our own powers to force out some magic of those who cant use it yet.
>>
Maybe we can mark the students who cant use magic with a hex that enables them to use the element they have highest affinity for, and then remove it after class? Then they would get a feeling for how to unluck it themselves..
>>
>>2942038
Now you're just making me think that the Appraise skill can do that once it's upgraded.
>>
>>2942040
I think it may be able to see what people have an affinity for if upgraded. Dunno if it could interact with people though, doesn't seem very 'appraisy'. Would be wild though. But yeah it's possible it could show all kinds of stuff when upgraded
>>
>>2942044
Now for the "getting a feeling for" to unlock their magic might be more tricky than we realize, because while we're developed magic spells the good old fashion way of hard work. We took the easy route out for unlocking them in the first place by buying it off with EXP.
Which is why it should be a good idea for teaching them the Mana Control skill so they have a higher chance of gaining new spells in their elemental path.
>>
>>2942051
Agreed, it's entirely possible that it aint that easy. On the other hand, to me hex has been an ability that just kept on giving so far. I wouldnt be surprised if it works. Might as well try, right?
>>
>>2942056
While it's good on it's own I kinda want our student to discover their own magic unlocking but I am all ears if we use like some kind of orb and the orb determines what kind of element they have a strong affinity to.
>>
Also no hexing the students for a easy magic because that's defeats the purpose of teaching. We gonna have Mana control as Magic 101.
>>
In all honestly, is fucking a bad idea to hex those students, and even continue showing us like that, they're nobles and even worse, they're kids, just imagine the rumors, we're gonna attract too many eyes and of course, the heroes.
>>
>>2941827
> Stop attack and restore yourself and the field

"Sorry, Dear, I almost forgot that I still had it," I shouted over to Iza, overhearing her. I then direct myself to the students once more, "Come on, first exam and all of you fail? Maybe there's no hope for this generation at all."

Most of the students now present are ones who don't know their heads; confused, trying to get a hit on me without knowing anything but to keep on through desperation. It's not a battlefield but it certainly is acting like one. The rest are over by Kala who has been healing them in the meantime either because of collateral damage or a mishap between themselves - accidentally hitting another and whatnot.

Regardless of their state I went on, chasing them down like how a cat plays with mice. My suggestion seemed to have work as the ones who know magic starter throwing balls of fire or water - not like it's going to hurt me of course but this is a start. What caught my eye more was the little Natalie Pole, on the ground whilst watching the whole endeavor. Her blade was in a crude position of defense, her eyes jetting from one spot to another, keen on my movement but not able to keep up herself.

And so, I went up to her, Natalie reacting to me with a jump of fear. She gazed onto my veil, seeing nothing as I peered close.

Natalie was frozen at my statement, but before she can say anything I already moved on.

Deciding that enough time has passed, I dispersed the remaining students who was still standing with a couple blasts of water. While they retreating from the torrents I then cast blackout to hide myself, shedding the illusion off and giving it back to Iza out of apology, posing in a playful manner. Thankfully with Kala's help no one suffered any injuries, well, not anymore to say the least.

The students themselves were in a mess, panting out of exhaustion while putting their practice weapons aside. Natalie finally joined in with the group, the meek little girl the least tired of the bunch but equally exhausted mentally.

However these remain unfeasible for combat given their expense, difficulty of production and so on. The far better solution is probably the one you want and need to take: studying and practicing any spell until casting it like it's walking or writing. A near automatic response to your demand rather than something you actually think through," taking a glance towards Kala, pausing momentarily, "...But for now, we'll do a little something to speed up the process so you can at least keep up."

"And what would that be?" Tristan said, his capriciousness worn down.

"Simple, I want everyone to meditate. Close your eyes and get into a comfortable position. Do not open your eyes until I say something"

With no will to resist the students did what I have instructed, closing their eyes in a weary manner before getting relaxed. It's certainly a change of pace for them, some almost falling asleep to which I had to shake them awake.

"Focus on the mana inside you no matter how little it is. It's somewhere, a little trickle of water or a flowing stream," I reminded, going over to Kala. "Sister, would you help me temporarily hex them."

"With...what?" she said suspiciously.

"Blindness and deafness, the idea popped into my head."

Kala gets off the bench that she was sitting on and dusts off her lap, "I really hope you know where you're going with this."

"Trust me, it's in our favor, Sister~"

Carefully, we both start hexing each individual students with a hex, disabling their sense of hearing and sight. Kala was hesitant for a couple of seconds since it could risk the student's well-being, but eventually got it going until we completely cleared each person.

Watching over the quiet mass my curiosity got the better of me, and so, I appraise one of the students. Specifically Natalie since she has really piqued my interest, a demeaning presence that lures me.
__________

Name: Natalie Pole
Race/Species: Human

Skills & Spells:
[Mana Control (Null) ]

__________

"Hmm? That's interesting. Just twenty minutes and this little girl already has something," I muttered. "How about your peers?"

Appraising another handful of people, they all started to achieve the same skill, [Mana Control (Null) ]. It's not exactly a complete but this is a path of flowers worth growing. Meanwhile, Fen has gotten bored, wandering the field on her lonesome. Shortly after though, Cheru followed along, leaving the remaining Yoshka and Iza with us.

"I think that's enough, Sister. Should we start unhexing them?" I told Kala.

"Already? Not that I'm complaining but that's quite fast if you're telling me," she said.

"Yup, now let's get these off~"

One by one, the hexes on the students were dispelled. For every person who has been cleansed from our magic, we woke them up, telling them to take a seat on the bench and wait for the others.

"Congratulations, you managed to achieve a basic feel of mana," I announced, waving Cheru and Fen to come back. "Do this exercise when you have free time to attune yourself better. Say, when's lunch?"

"N-Normally the bell sounds when each class is over," Valentine said, pointing to a bell tower. "The third bell is lunch, the fifth is the end of school."

"I see...Iza, Yoshka, did you hear any bell sounds while I was examining them?"

"Yes, actually," answered Yoshka. "Don't know which bell though."

"Wait! So it's actually lunch now?!" cried a student.

"We're free!" another said, sighing heavily.

"It is? Well then I guess you're free to go," waving my hand. "After break we'll talk about aspirations and stuff, then a little more 'exercise', rethink a strategy, choice of weapons or magic, etc."

The moment my hand was raised, the lot of students immediately placed their swords and shields back on the stand, racing towards down the nearby entrance of a hall. Their previously worn face was reinvigorated in the prospect of break and lunch, smiling in relief...

...All except for Natalie Pole who was left in the dust. Carrying the sword back to the stand she had no choice but to drag the blade behind her, the physical fatigue more burdensome than the rest. Not even halfway near it Natalie looked like she would collapse.

Might as well go to the cafeteria, I'm quite hungry myself and I'm pretty curious of how all those luxury meals taste like. They're all lavishly made if I remember the initial tour given to me by Fionn. Is it normal in the first place for a teacher to eat with the students?

I shrugged, putting the thought aside. It's better to see it for myself than just thinking about it too much. "Let's go get some food ourselves, children. Their plates look delicious from afar so we might as well try it out during our time here."

"Mother, you say that but you just go for the cake the moment you see it," commented Fen.

"You know mother well~ However, you are right on this, I should expand my palate. But you aren't getting away that easily~"

"What does that mean?-- Wait!" Fen exclaimed as I wrapped my body around her, adding another hex.

"There, now you can enjoy chocolate as much as mother, Dear~" carrying Fen down the hall, the rest behind me.

Once we arrived at the cafeteria I went to where they deserved desserts; cakes and other confectionaries was on display, placed inside hollow shelves so passersby could see what the bakers are offering. I asked for two plates of chocolate cake, carrying it back to a table that Yoshka and Iza was sitting at already to preserve a spot for all us.

"Could you put me down?! All I said is that you eat cake too much!" Fen, struggling against my hold.

"Now, now," placing her on a seat with me beside her - Cheru taking the one next me. "You'll see enough, say 'aah'~"

Forking a a slice into Fen's mouth she had no choice but to take the bite, chewing reluctantly but speeding up when I began to pick up the pace.

As for the surrounding people, it was a weird sight. A lady draped in a veil that's accompanied by four servants, one of which was a wolf girl who's being rapidly fed by her.

"Nn, Cheru wants to try."

"Say, 'ah' just like big sister," feeding the little bunny.

Cheru takes the whole spoon, eating it without concern, "Itsh good. Cheru likes it."

"On it, Mother. Iza, want to come too?"

"No thanks, just seeing the shorty in her current state is too good to pass on," smiling maliciously at Fen. "How's the cake doing for ya?"

"I'm willing to take it outside, flatty," Iza said with poison. "Would you even be able to reach me with those arms, Tehaha!"

It's a crazy idea to be sure, but it's possible that we can pull it off, I do wonder if we will need components like the blood of a dragon or the flesh of an old dryad to increase the chances of success since we're basically doing alchemy.

"I'll pretend I didn't hear that, Dear," ignoring the insult that was aimed at Iza. "So what did you get, Darling?"

"Tartiflette, a small beef stew made with red wine, and cured mountain-rock bull brisket," Yoshka presented, placing each dish after another. "I also got some cinnamon rice pudding and sweet crepes. As for drinks: a few glasses of imported Gillin honey mead. Apple juice for Cheru too."

Finished with the cake, I stack them to the side to make room for the palettes. Fen and Iza beat me to the food, eating in a more civilized manner now that they're mostly with humans.

I take one of the alcoholic glasses, sipping from it without care as my poison immunity keeps me from being drunk. Cheru drank alongside me as well, asking what it is that I'm drinking.

"Could I try, Mommy?" pointing at the glass.

"I'll let you try a sip only if you finish your food."

"Nn."

Cheru takes a light scoop of the tartiflette and begins eating with the same excitement when she was eating the cake. Apparently she likes potatoes herself, almost eating a third of the dish.

I myself settled with the small bowl of stew, the rest of the children finishing the meat. Their animalistic nature still shows over whenever food is involved but it's a calming sight.

Iza's face became flushed, the mead taking a surprising toll on her. "Kshaa~" she sighed, "This stuff is good...Ne, Brother, could you get me another glass?"

"No," Yoshka said flatly, "Seeing that you are-- ahem, drunk, I suggest not to consume more alcohol. And to be entirely honest, I'm surprised that you became like that."

Fen chugged the rest of hers, "Goes to show how 'little' she is! Tipsy after one measly drink!" flaunting.

"Shut up, flatty!" Iza said, increasingly getting woozy. "It's...Getting hot."

"Oh, Cheru will be careful."

We soon finish our food, Yoshka offering to gather the plates. I accept, letting him take them to where the other students do themselves. All cleaned up, he came back to witness a scene of Iza's potent drunkeness.

"Is it summer?" fanning herself with a fan.

"That's just the drink, Dear. Nothing bad," I assured. "Are you alright?"

"I'm fiiine, all I need is to cool off, hehaha" laughing.

"What's wrong, Sister? That previous attitude seems to have gone? If your useless body of yours is like that then you might not be able to pick a fight," Fen, continuing to tease her.

"I can beat you square, Flatty. Heck, I bet I'm better in this state than sover," biting her tongue. "Geezus, it's getting too hot. I need to..."

Iza started to take off her clothes. Quickly, I purified her in time just before she fully exhibited her feminine assets, right as she was about to show her breast. The sudden wave on consciousness hits her like a truck, realizing what she had been doing and remember everything prior.

She pulls the sides of her top, buttoning back in hastily and nearly showing her chest once more after fumbling with the buttons. Fen was caught in a laughing fit, watching her sister's state of urgent embarrassment.

"H-How long was I like that?!"

"Hard-headed? I can crack your skull you bug!" getting off her chair. "Get better at giving insults."

I wonder what Viviie is doing right now. Granted, we've only met each other for a very short time but she may answer some questions for me - that and how fun it is to tease her. I've really been getting into that sort of habit. It's not a bad kind of habit but nonetheless, some others may not be in favor with how I go along...No, I'm alright~!

Rounding up the two of them and reasoning with them to hold their argument for another time, we leave the cafeteria. Asking around I found out that little Viviie taught at room 22 which was coincidentally near us. It was a ways behind the building housing the cafeteria, another house that faced a view of a garden. A few doors in I found the correct number, pushing it open to see the same loli neatly ordering a bunch of papers and books.

Telling her the reason why I've showed up she thought once or twice about the matter. Her bllue eyes jetted from me to my children, continuing to study their characteristics before giving me an answer.

"Say more then we'll have to drown you in our bodies~" grabbing a hold of Viviie's shoulders, hinting at the overwhelming qualities of Iza. I then slip her hands onto my legs, implying the many things that I could do into her ear and how more enjoyable if Kala could join. "You're so little that we can just smush you, Hon~"

Viviie breaks free, "S-Stop! I'm not a toy!"

"Fufu~ You certainly do act like one," placing myself in front of her again, "Well, putting that aside, I want to know the reputation of dark magic. Also about the goddess Vamia."

The little girl collects herself before speaking to me, lost in thought, "Dark magic? Isn't that suppose to be heretical?"

"I didn't know of that, please tell me."

"It's not hard to understand. Piladium deems such magic as heretical since the church of Alia is part of the government - their political power very much so equal to the prime minister in some ways. On a basic standpoint though: who would want to use dark magic? Sounds like something that'll kill you in comparison to light magic. That goes for the goddess Vamia too; as you can see, I'm not a priestess, but what does 'the goddess of dark' sound to you?"

"Evil? I suppose?"

"Exactly. Sure, there may be another religious that says otherwise but Vamia is known for being evil. Well, at least in my books. Anything else you want to ask me? The bell will sound soon," showing a clock that was hung high on a wall.

"How are the relations between humans and other races?"

"Simple. It's horrible," Viviie blankly stated. "The only state that's predominately demi-humans is the Tilinar kingdom and the last I've heard, they don't take kindly to humans," glancing over to my children. "The elves, until recently, had some mishaps within their own kingdom and now they're acting all hostile as well. Not that it wasn't normal but they've been doing so crazy stuff concerning borders and whatnot. As for demon-folk, we don't really know much. Sure, we know about the demon king but their country is really secluded."

"That's a way to put it blankly..."

"Stating fact is stating things blankly."

----------

I'm going to leave off this thread here.

I got some plans to make another separate quest soon within the week. That doesn't mean that I'm stopping OmaIsekai, I'm still going to continue so don't worry about that. Thinking of cycling between quest so things don't get monotonous doing the same story over and over - not in a bad way though.

Thank you for accompanying me on this story for so long~! Even with my brief sequences of me shifting in and out of reality.

While I appreciate you making this quest but I'm still skeptical about you running another one since you tend to fade away without notice. At least dedicate a day where you run and update regularly. I also don't mind doing a quest per week as long as the update are regular.

But this is my own opinion. It is up to you to decide how you run things. I just wait for week to see the archives to read them in binge.

I wouldn't mind the other quest being a much shorter one/oneshot because Omalsekai Quest has this aura of where it feels like we barely began despite there being a shit ton of posts for each thread.
