BOOOOM!

'H-HELP!'

'WHAT HAPPENED!

'No, NO!. NOT LIKE THIS!'

As the train my classroom is riding spontaneously went up in flames the screams of my peers shook my soul. I didn't know what to do, was I to hide? Scream for help? I don't know, stuck in a state of apathy. Maybe I was sick of life. I'm not suicidal but that's what I thought. The monotony; waking up and going to school, coming back for dinner and sleeping to only repeat it. This cycle was worse as my family wasn't much of a family. My parents being workaholics that barely come home, I was left to myself, to cook for myself, and to keep myself company. Coming home to an empty house. School wasn't much different. I didn't have any friends, because of that I just kept myself in the library. I was bleak, a normal girl not worth anyone's time.

But at this moment I thought of something that I avoided to think or say.

"It's not fair.

I know it was selfish. But I had no time to reconcile as the flames overtook me and my classmates. Oddly, it was painless, a warm sensation that caressed me.

You are Fuuma Nagaro, a 2nd-year high-schooler who has perished from fire due to abnormal circumstances.

Quiet. Absolute quiet. My consciousness floats in a vast sea of blackness.

Then light. I open my eyes to see the ceiling of a pure white room with nothing but me in it; no doors nor windows. Still dazed I hold a hand upon my head as a headache arose, shortly subsiding after a minute or two.

"Welcome, Fuuma Nagaro.""

A voice sounded around me, seemingly everywhere in this stark space. Not wanting to bear the possible consequence I spoke up, "Where am I?"

"You are currently in what you humans call heaven. As for me, you can call me God."

God? Heaven? That's right, I died. Went up in flames along with my classmates. "Why am I here? To...To be judged?"

"No, you and your peers have been chosen to be brought into another world due to another god's request as a favor. I am to gift each one of you powers as an apology for meddling into your lives."

Another world and powers? If I remember correctly that was something a few novels that I read had as a plot. "My classmates. What happened to them?"

"I have already gave them their gifts. You are the last one to be sent."

Something cracked within me. I don't know how to describe it but it's like having every emotion that I bottled up inside flooded out, "What the hell is that suppose to mean?! Meddling into our lives? Getting us killed is just meddling to you?!" Are you the reason?!"

"Taking action unto the life I govern is nothing to me; I am the god of your world. For myself, you getting mad is outrageous in its own right. In life you didn't say anything about how much you suffered from loneliness, but now you take it on me. May I know why?"

What it said twisted my tongue and throat. It's true, I did nothing for myself, I didn't tell anyone and thought things would get better but no. in reality I was just being selfish, I always had even till the fire cloaked me.

I'm horrible, wretched, nothing but selfish as I blamed someone else while I did nothing for myself. Who was I tell? What was i to do? My parents never was happy, never did they smile at me. Even my relatives saw me with disdain. I....I...

I crouched down, wallowing in self-pity and disgust, tears streaking down my eyes, "What was I to do...No one was there..."

" *Sigh* Complicated humans are. Listen here, if you go there's a whole new world that you can start anew."

I get up, wiping away at my eyes. Collecting my thoughts I respond, "r-really..?"

"New body, new powers, new life. Here, fill this out and you'll be on your way."

A glowing screen popped in front of me.

I call bullshit on 'god' here. If I go and fuck over another person and got them killed because of my actions, I don't get to brush it off as meddling and go la di da I'll fix it up with my supreme power with a bonus. I fucked over someone and killed them because I did something irresponsible.

Having powers just to fix something up and kind of forget about it by throwing a person into another world just makes me an ultra powerful irresponsible dick. There's nothing stopping 'god' here from just screwing around again. What the hell does our loneliness have to do with this 'god' accidentally murdering our fellow classmates and us.

We can be a selfish, wretched horrible dick but that doesn't change the fact 'god' here killed us.

Picking which build

To give a scale of how much of a cheat we are (and the other classmates). A 'normal' human's limit is 50 points in each stat. Now, this only applies to our old world, in the new world things are not limited to 50 points, that goes to humans, demi-humans, and monsters. Still, Fuuma and her classmates are tremendously stronger than the average person in the new world, but that only leaves the 'above-average' people left.
>>
>>2854196
Well, if we get the whole "one bullshithax ability" thing, we should ask for one of the Saint of Killers' Walker Colts. Those things could theoretically kill God.

>>

It's actually a guy's name I think but our character is a girl.

Don't think too hard about it, maybe the parents wanted a boy and decided to give our character a boy's name. I knew a girl that had the name Yoshinobu which is blatantly a boy's name but somehow the civil servants at the municipal office accepted for some odd reason. We called her 'shinobu' and wrote her name in hiragana to drop the 'yo'.

As I finished my status screen, the being said something worrying. Right I was, out of nowhere pain filled my head, forcing me back on to the ground screaming.

Obtained Selfish me

The pain was excruciating, it felt as if my brain was pushing against my head and that every nerve on my body were shocked, it was unbearable, it was making me insane. But eventually the pain faded away leaving me broken on the pure white room's floor.

"Congratulations, you lived. Now that everything has been set it's time for you to go, goodbye!"

I tried to curse it but I was too weak from the moment's pain. Tiredness overtook me as I drift off into unconsciousness.

Soft

Something soft on top of a hard surface

Forcing my eyes open I notice that I regained my ability to move; around me was a forest, full of green and trees.

Standing back on my feet I gaze blankly at the forest, "This is it now. A new life..." I would be lying if I thought I didn't miss my old world, but there's nothing I could be attached to here. Curse the being that sent me but bless this opportunity for a new chance.

Wondering through the forest I pass the many fauna and flora while the birds chirp into the air. From what it looks like, it seems to be midday, the sun high in the sky. If it wasn't for the canopy blocking the sunlight, I would've probably be on my way for a stroke. Now that I think about it I'll need somewhere to stay, also food and water.

Let's find a stream, at least that's what some show said.

Deviating from my path a bit I went through the thicket. It was rough but I manged to get through, though, my uniform did get scratched. Now that I think about it what about washing? If possible, I can maybe wash my clothes and bathe if I find water here.

For a while I searched the forest until I grew exhausted. This body isn't able to handle these conditions; a city girl lost within a forest. Finding somewhere to rest I settled upon a tree's trunk, laying my back against it as I close my eyes to rest. 'It'll be a sad end if I die here' I thought, but then I heard something,it was water. Instantly I shot up, fighting against my aching legs. Following by sound I pushed through bushes and branches to find what I was looking for, it was a stream!

Thirsty, I ran up by the side, cupping my hands together for a drink. The heat made it taste like honey, it made me crazed. I drank until I had my fill, washing my face to refresh myself further, the cold feel felt wonderful, pure bliss at that moment.

GEERRR

Then I heard a low growl near me. Hey~ Fate can't be that cruel right? Just when I found something wonderful.

Slowly with dread, I turned around, and there behind me was a bear that was twice my size.

Looks like I have no other choice. As fast as I could I dashed towards the bear with surprising speed, for moment there my heart stopped as I didn't expect myself to move so quick. The bear caught off guard I took advantage, heaving my left arm I punched the area around its neck hoping for a quick fight.

CRACK

As my fist colliding with the rough, prickly skin a loud crack was heard. The bear was absolutely blown away, sent flying as it flailed like a rag doll. It then crash into a thick tree clearly dead, the side of the bear's face where I punched it flattened with blood seeping out.

Knowing not else what to do, I flip the bear's corpse on my back now that I have super humans strength. I need a shelter, looking for a water source took too much time for the day.

Leaving the stream I make note of my path to remember it, I wouldn't want to forget where it is, and went back deeper into the forest. It wasn't much of an endeavor this time as I found a cave nearby already. It was probably the bear's den but it doesn't need anymore, sorry bear. Going inside I put the corpse aside to explore deeper which only showed that the den wasn't big and that there was a full dead-end with no branching paths at the back. Now that I found somewhere to stay for a while, think I'll need to start eating. The bear's corpse would start decomposing.

Fire, I need a fire to cook it.

Heading out of the den I went to go get some fire wood. Dead twigs and bark for kindling, branches, and medium sized logs for fuel; returning I try my hand at making a fire, breaking a short and thick branch in half to rub against it with another stick. Concentrating, I twirled the stick hard against the base, slowly getting faster and faster. It took a few tries as I accidentally knock the stick out of my hand but eventually got used to it, steadily spinning the stick in place as little puffs of smoke started. The faster and faster I spun more smoke came until a little orb of flame erupted. Not wanting it to die I quickly moved it under the dead twigs and bark, leaning branches against each other over the it. Soon after the fire became bigger, engulfing all of the dead wood.

Now with a fire going it's time to cook the bear.

Remembering as much as I can from cooking I started discarding the limbs and head, tearing them off with my newly acquired strength and throwing them away into the forest, far enough so other animals stay away, at least I think. Then skinning the body, carefully tugging away at the skin to reveal its muscle. Unlike the head and limbs I'm saving this; I could wash it in the stream to make it clean. Now that the body has been skinned I rip away some select pieces, discarding the intestines and other organs. Puncturing the meat through with sticks I then set them up by the fire to cook.

After half an hour or so the meat turned from red to dark brown, indicating that it's done cooking. Taking one of sticks I blew on it to cool it off, biting into it for a taste. It was...bland - tasteless, feeling as if I'm eating rubber. All that hard work for this? Well, I can't really complain, may be the last piece of meat for a while.

Finishing the rest of the sticks I threw a log to keep the fire going. Looking over my head I saw the sun setting, slowing dipping under the horizon.

Putting another log into the fire for good measure I huddle by it, laying myself over the hard surface of the den's floor. Everything's oddly peaceful, no humming of cars, no crowds, no bustle of the city, compared to Japan this place was more comfy. It's just me, the forest, and the crackling fire that's generating warmth as it burns the wood to ashes. Then a thought comes to mind, "...Usually when injected with large amounts of divinity one dies, even a few of your classmates did..." That memory, that single memory chilled me. If it wasn't for luck, fate, or whatever, I'd probably be dead, maybe sent into the afterlife if it exist. It's just when such a being of power says that nonchalantly it feels terrifying, making me scared out of my mind.

Clenching my fist I continue my train of thought, anger quietly brewing inside me.

The anger slowly dissipated, but that's normal. It's always like that, rising up deep inside me like a volcano's cycle. Who can understand the reasoning of a higher being? Would I be any different if I was one... Who knows, maybe I'll find out one day.

I close my eyes, listening to the cracking of wood. Not long after I went to sleep, the cold night's air at my back and the warm fire at my front.

My name is Chata-Krumar, son of Giilam Village's chief nestled within the Agvar Forest. We are a group of bear demi-humans who fled the approach of the Piladium Kingdom who were rapidly driving out other demi-humans from there home in pursuit of land. Now we take stead in this forest, hunting and farming within a clearing. Just moments ago I saw a human woman battled Godo-Iylak the god whom we worshiped during our times within the Agvar. A god of hunting who we prayed to and gave tribute for fruitful bounties. But such a powerful creature, who overwhelmed the mightiest of our hunters, even my father, was ended by one strike from the woman; now taking residence in his den. Quickly, I ran back to the village, alarming everyone of such news.

"Everyone! Father! Shama-Urek too! Godo-Iyak has died!" The residents clamored at my announcement, bringing my father, Rige and Urek to my audience.

My father calmed everyone down with a raise of his hand, "What is this? Godo-Iyak is no more? Tell me, son"

"Yes, yes! I seen a human woman fell him with just one punch! Taking his corpse and eating him at his den!"

Surprise spread among the people, so did my father, but Shama-Urek stayed calm. He then breathed a heavy sigh, "This may be the new god, the one from my dreams when I first picked up the mantle of Shama."

I turned to him, "What do you mean? Did you foresee Iyak's fall?"

Urek then sat down, putting his staff aside, "In my dream I saw the great bear by a lake's edge, mighty and powerful. It ate, fought, and hunted with no regard. But then a being came to challenge it, not with words it said but with sheer force, more powerful than it. The being was otherworldly, head of a deer, horns and claws strong as the trees, and humanoid in form. With one rake the being tore the ground along with the bear, killing it, then dumped into the lake to be never seen. Make no mistake, the being is not a monster, but to overtake the bear's rule, the new god of bounty, not hunt."

Everyone was silent at Urek's story, if he wasn't the village's strongest magician people would call him insane.

My father himself closed his eyes, speaking when he had an answer, "Son, the woman is at Godo-Iyak's den, right?"

"Y-yes, father."

"Then tomorrow I will go meet her along with Shama-Urek. I trust his vison."

Urek nodded; As dangerous as the woman can be, I can't go against the chief's orders. And so, plans were made for only my father and Urek to meet this new god.

I woke up in the early morning. Checking the fire I see that it's gone, embers flickering in the ashes. I can make another fire since I already have wood and fuel but I'll save that for later.

Rising up I yawn, stretching my arms high. Another tiring day it seems.

Galleon Berry
- A red berry with a sweet taste. Holds a poison that knocks out anything that consumes it.

____________________

Hmm...I don't know.

>Eat it
>Leave it

Just for a note, to obtain or level skills and such one must either: a), be born with it or b}, experience an effect caused by something, along the lines of that. I'll reference >>2855678 but you guys should be familiar with the idea since it's prevalent within WB/LN. For an example, it's what that healer hero from that one WB/manga did to avoid getting hypnotized with some drug by eating poison stuff to gain resistance. Taking as much as I can I gathered the berries in my arms, retreating back into my den. The forest is starting to warm up now as the birds are becoming lively again just like yesterday.

Sitting beside the bear pelt I dropped the berries in a pile in front of me ready for consumption. Picking one from the top I popped it into my mouth, a sweet syrup engulfing my tongue. Then it hit me, a numbness spreading around my mouth coupled with lightheadedness. Crouching down onto the ground I push myself against the wall, steeling myself.

The world started spinning, making me increasingly dizzy and nauseous. One berry does this?! What was I thinking?! The spun and spun and spun faster like a tabletop. It lasted for what felt like hours, fearing that I'll crash into the opposite wall.

And then black.

Waking up a headache surged, forcing me to stay down. Where am I? What happened? How long? I contemplated these thoughts, giving myself vague answers, the most I could muster. And then my status popped up without my will.

Obtained [Poison Resistance !]

Oh, goodie....Willing every command into my nervous system I push myself up, the numbness fading away. I look at my hand, opening and closing it to test my autonomy. It seems I have full control again. I then looked at the galleon berries again.

And then again, my status popped up.

Gazing at the remaining pile my mind got a fairly dangerous idea.

Scooping up the berries into my hands I ate each one of them, consuming all of it. The wave of dizziness hit me once more, but now it was mild, a little sick feeling at the back of my head. The spinning didn't come until later and the affect itself was minuscule, only making me feel weak in the legs and other basic movement.

Rolling the pelt I put over my shoulder, taking it with me as I leave the den. Arriving by the stream I then get to work cleaning the skin.

Dumping it in the water to soak I turn it over where the skin is bear. Carefully, I pick at the rotting meat stuck on it, letting it flow down the stream so maybe some fish eats it. Pluck, and wash, pluck and wash; it's some hard working under the sun but when I have water flowing in front of me I can just take a drink and wash my face to go at it some more. I continue this trend until the underside has been fully cleansed, presenting it to myself as I hum some random tune I remember. Taking it out of the water I spread it face up into the sunlight to dry.

After cleaning the pelt it's finally my turn. Unbuttoning my uniform I set it aside, stepping into the flowing stream that was too cold for my liking. Gritting my teeth I dealt with it; this is the closest thing to a bath, use what you got. Taking a moment of just standing in the cold water I then will myself lower, washing my body ever so slowly. A little while I was undisturbed, soaking in all the water in the warm sun.

Rustle, rustle

Nearby I heard the rustling of grass. C'mon, I was beginning to enjoy myself; whipping my head around what revealed itself was this giant raven. Bigger than a average, I'd estimate it to reach my thighs, and I'm a tall person standing at 173cm. There it was eyeing my school uniform, hopping closer and closer to it while it ignored me.

Not wanting any further trouble I decided to become rash, running out of the stream to grab my clothes first. Defiantly blocked, it then started to caw at me, raising its ebony wings to look bigger while hopping closer to me. Not knowing what else to do with the bird I started to flick my hand in a motion to stave it away, "Shoo, shoo, go!"

"Caw, caw!"

"You think I understand you? Go, shoo!"

It croaked, taking flight in an effort to grab my clothes from my arms. Luckily I was vast amounts faster than it, and with a simple side-step I dodged the raven. Landing with no success it turned back at me, glaring at each other's eyes in a standoff. We just stared, frozen in time while the breeze moved from the mountains.

First it was the raven to move, growing irritate with each passing second; sprouting its wings once more for another flight, but not at my clothes this time but at me instead. If I'm honest I was growing irritable as well. Meeting the raven I stood my ground, readying my hand as I plan to only strike it when it was close enough. Closer it flew towards me as it aimed its beak to my head. Kukuku, you fool! Just when it was about to gouge my eye I gave a killing blow and just like the bear it was rocketed to my side, dead as anything can be.

Done, I close the screen, taking the raven's corpse and bear pelt back to my den. The day was at its peak as the sun boiled in the center of the sky. "Dark magic, huh. This will be fun," I say, strolling back to my home.

Upon my way back I took notice of too men with...are those ears? Nevermind; these two men were just standing in front of my den as if they were waiting for someone.

"She's not here? The remains of the fire indicates that she stayed here at least but where did she go. Know anything, Urek?" the man with the serious expression and stern eyes said.

"We wait, I know that she'll come. Trust me," says the old man. he scored a really long beard, leaning against his staff that made him look fragile. But the human characteristics aside, they seemed to have....bear ears instead of human ones with what seems to be a tail on their behinds. Weird.

Under the cover of the thick greenery I decided to ambush them. Who knows what they'll do, I'm not taking that chance now that I've learned more during my time in the forest.

Dropping what I had in hand i shuffled through the bushes as quietly as I can, maneuvering behind their backs.

I stop, counting down numbers as I slowly observe there actions, from what it looks like they aren't going anywhere anytime soon.

"...three, two, one...Now!" I shout, making myself known to these two strangers.

"W-What!"

"It's her! Wait!"

Catching them off guard they back up into my den with me blocking their path of escape. I can very well blow a hole through there chest like that one guy from that popular manga. (K**G C*****N!)

The old man stepped up to me, "We aren't here to harm you. We want to talk."

"Why are you here?" I respond, easing closer to them while I stay in a stance. In reaction they step back further, forced into my den.

"Like Urek said, we are here to talk," says the other demi-human-- demi-human is the correct term right? "I am Rige, chief of Giilam Village not far from here. My son announced the death of Godo-Iyak, the god we previously worshiped and now I'm here with Urek, the village's shaman and magic teacher, to talk with you. You are the new god are you not?"

The sudden bombardment of information flooded my mind. A village out here? Then that means I'm not alone.

The old man to whom I presume to be Urek spoke up again, "As Rige already said, you have defeated our old god, now we're here to converse with you as we believe you are to be the new god to who we worship. I humbly plead for a conversation in communion."

"I don't understand. I know no one with the name Godo-Iyak."

This came as a surprise to both of them, there eyes lighting up as they heard me.

"So you don't know," says Urek, stroking his beard. "Have you come across a bear by any chance? Specifically one that was abnormally big?"

"Yeah, snapped its neck with one punch. Why? I even have the pelt."

"Pelt?! Please do show," Urek requested.

Keeping my eyes on them I picked up the bear pelt and raven corpse behind the thicket. Placing them in front of the two men.

"Urek! This is Iyak's skin no doubt, I even remember the scars placed on its fur."

"Yes, this is indeed him. Goddess, it seems you unknowingly killed the god Iyak."

"My name is Fuuma Nagaro..."

"Goddess Fuuma..." Urek corrected, sorta. "You have felled the now old god, in my vision I believe that you're the new god for us to follow."

That took a little while to register. "Wait, hold on. Old god? New god? W-What are you talking about?"

Rige stepped up cautiously, "Urek had vision of Iyak's demise by the hands of a new god; goddess in your case. With proof right in front of us you show that you truly are."

"Ah, ah, ah, back up old man. Anything funny and I'll kill you."

Rige retreated back to where he was, obeying me.

"Since you are the new goddess, we wish to bring you offerings as we did previously with Iyak. We do not doubt your power as killing the bear is fearful enough," says Rige. "We just ask of your blessings."

The conversation paused as I thought for a while, clearing up what they said in a neat straight line for myself to understand.

"...Take me to your village."

They simply looked at each other but ultimately accepted my request.

"We'll take you to the village, would you like yourself to lead?" Urek says.

"I'll follow behind. Again, anything that I deem suspicious and I will kill you, understand?"

"Y-yes."
"Y-yes"

Allowing them to exit my den they led me through the woods. It wasn't the path I was familiar with but that can be said when you're lost in a forest.

We walked in silence leaving me to my own thought. What does it mean to be a goddess? And what do they mean about blessings? Do they want me to protect them from monsters? I can certainly do so but I can also try to use a magic spell instead, maybe I can use my newly acquired tattoo hex.

Eventually we hit a cleared trail that spanned from left to right like a snake.

"The village is up ahead," Rige says, pointing a finger to the left side of the trail.

Exiting the thicket we joined the cleared path and continued walking. Soon there was house, than two, three, and four. Many people came out once they saw me, or maybe it was these two. The fact is that they had the same bear ears and tail. I could imagine some of my classmates blowing there heads up once they see such a thing is real.

Cutting through the village many talked among themselves to which I could hear very, very clearly. Are they trying to be heard? Cup your mouth at least.

"Is that the new god?"

"The chief and shaman came out alive!"

"That human woman is...tall."

"Mama, her hair is very long and black! She's pretty!"

"Shush, dear, we wouldn't want to anger her."

Now those are some...nice comments about me.

We reached a house that was much bigger than the others. Rige opens the door for me and Urek to come inside. He then offered me to sit by a table to which I accepted, pulling a chair for myself.

Rige then followed suit, sitting down by the table with Urek beside him. "So, how do you think of our village, goddess?"

"I have yet to come to an opinion. So what am I to do?"

"Offerings in exchange for protection. Before, Godo-Iyak would protect our village from monsters too dangerous for the village's men to handle, but now that he's gone we fear destruction. More specifically a wyrm who used to attack the village, eating our men and crops until staved off by Iyak."

They then bowed their heads to me, putting me in a awkward spot.

" "Please, goddess. Save us from Yoksha at any price." "

Their request surprised me. A wyrm?

"What's a wyrm?" I ask.

"A monster that's far-related to dragons. Ravenous in appetite they dig under the ground to hunt prey. So many people were lost in the past due to Yoksha. So I plead once more, protect us and we'll pay any price," Urek begged.

You know, it doesn't feel nice when a old man is begging me for something. It makes me feel like a criminal.

"Sure, I'll accept."

Rige raises his head, "Really?!"

Urek then pushes his head down back to his previous position, "Thank you goddess. We are grateful for your kindness."

"No problem. By the way, you can raise your heads now."

They pull back, settings themselves straight and look back at me.

I then questioned further, "Tell me, where is this Yoksha?"

"We don't exactly know, but he will come no doubt if he isn't stopped. That last time the beast showed itself was north of the village, you could still see the battle damage in the trees and ground where Iyak and Yoksha once fought," Urek informed.

"Anything I need to know?" I say, getting out of my chair.

"Yoksha can breathe smoke that could blind you, you must take that into consideration goddess."

"Really now? Thanks for telling me."

"No, we are. Once again, we are most thankful."

I then gave a nervous laugh, "Hehe, no problem. If I can defeat that bear then the wyrm won't be any different."

I exited the house with the villagers trailing behind me. They soon stopped though as they saw where I was headed. Looking back I saw both Rige and Urek watching me in the distance by the doorstep, bowing their heads again.

"Sheesh, at least have some comfort..."

Following Urek's directions I pressed on north. Everything looked the same, overgrown greenery, tall trees, nothing out of the ordinary. That is until I viewed a pretty big site of scratch marks and broken ground; claw marks were left raked into the dirt and rock while holes bigger than a man gaped open. Not only that but the ground looked disfigured, push upped to say the least. Taking in the display I then moved on, with Urek's vague directions I can only assume where this big monster is.

I resumed the search. Not knowing what an actual wyrm looks like I'll have to go on with my own knowledge, taking guesses at monsters and such. Though, that was the plan.

Walking I heard a rhythmic humming noise, making me look at my surroundings in reflex. There, camouflaged within the grass and trees was a big snake thing.

It was asleep, its snoring generating that humming noise. I tried to get a better look at the body but it's coiled up.

"Marking hex!"

Casting the spell a dark light formed itself into mysterious markings, inscribing itself to the wyrm's skin. This obviously wakes it up, but was unable to move because of the paralyzing hex I put on it.

"Phew, for a second I thought it didn't work," I say, casting appraise next.

The wyrm tries to break free from your spell but can't, hissing in desperation. It's a little sad to be honest, even if the people feared it. Then an idea popped into my head.

"Hey... so uh, you're the wyrm? Wanna be friends?"

It looked at me; even with no eyes it conveyed confusion. We just stood there looking at each other.

The wyrm holds its tongue. It's certainly not in a position to talk, especially that I have it restricted.

"...Sly woman."

"Look here, if you be friends with me then I'll free you, okay?"

"I'd rather die!"

Tch, complicated. To show my power I released the hex myself, little did Yoksha know of what I had in mind.

"Fool! To free me like this!"

Yoksha shouted, lunging at me with its maw ready to tear me apart. But i stopped it, grabbing the lower and upper half of its jaw. I then slowly wrench them in opposite directions, bringing immense pain.

"S-STOP! OKAY, OKAY I YIELD, PLEASE!"

Lightening my grip I let go of Yoksha who slithered back, "Friends?"

"You...You are powerful. More of a monster than I." Yoksha pauses, then resumes, "...I comply. Do with me as you wish."

"Great! Let's go back to the village!"

Master? A bit too much for my liking but that's okay.

"Let's go."

Traveling our way back to the village we safely come back with Yoksha slithering behind me. At first everyone ran away, but calmed down when I explain what transpired, they still hold a smudge of caution though.

When people told Urek and Rige about my return they quickly met me and Yoksha.

"To tame Yoksha, truly you are divine!" bellowed Urek. Kinda of an overexaggeration but I don't mind. "Please, Goddess Fuuma, ask of anything and we'll provide."

"Yes, we'll have the most capable craftsman we have do that. As for a map, we do have one, but it's an old one."

"That's fine, Urek. As long as I know where I am."

"Thank you, without your help we wouldn't know what to do next."

"Little too much praise now."

After our talk, Urek called over someone. He said that he's the person who could turn my pelt into clothes, and that he would follow me to take it back to the village to work on it.

We exchanged greetings, the man being more modest in comparison. Urek than told me that someone else would bring them for me; I try to reconcile but he simply was too stubborn, and in the end I accepted it.

Saying goodbye I started heading back to my den, the bear demi-human and Yoksha following me. Arriving, I showed the demi-human my pelt, giving it to him to take back to the village like Urek said.

Now alone, I rest by the stone walls; Yoksha in front of the entrance trying to figure out what to do. The sun is still up but won't be soon, I could probably do something till night.

I walk up to Yoksha who's coiled up by the den, "So...Tell me about yourself."

Yoksha perks up, "Me, master? I don't know what to tell you."

"Er, something about your past. The village was fearful of you," I say while crouching, taking a seat for myself.

"Well...I started as any monster. I hatched, matured, hunt, ate; I guess the whole reputation grew as I started eating the demi-humans. After that, this bear started fighting me whenever I was near." Yoksha explained his past. It was plain, no tragic backstory, nothing dramatic. "I just continued being a monster until you came along and one-sidedly beat me."

"That's pretty interesting. Tell me about wyrms next," requesting Yoksha like a child asking her mother for a bedtime story.

"Hm, as you can see, wyrms don't have eyes. We usually tunnel underground and attack from below, using a special organ hidden within our nose to sense prey. We're basically big, serpentine earthworms. I could say that I'm unique because of my skill to breathe out smoke."

"Yeah, Urek told me about that. What about the region here, what's your opinion on the bear people?"

"The bear people? I just see them as any other living being, ready to eat or be eaten, of course I'm under your control. As for the region, you can see that we're in a forest. I don't know anything further than that but I know that to the south there's some kingdom causing trouble for demi-humans; overheard some travelers talking about that before eating them."

I chop Yoksha's snout, "Bad wyrm."

"...sorry."

"How about this?" Casting marking hex the same black light appeared, forming into the undecipherable symbols again. Then I placed it upon Yoksha's neck, tracing a finger over his scales in a circle. "You are now to be under my command, if I order you to stop then you'll stop, okay?"

"O-Okay. Should've done this before earlier," Yoksha said, expressing his concern.

"Don't worry, I'm not gonna abuse it."

We continued to talk between ourselves, sharing stories, anecdotes, and tales. We then touched upon me being from another world.

"Another world huh, that explains the power you have. Still, I think you couldn't do anything towards that god who dumped you here."

I groan, "I know that! It's frustrating thinking about it, a being with absolute control treating me as if I'm nothing!"

"But master...Isn't that a little...selfish? Don't get me wrong but when you're facing a god like that it makes me think about the context. The god did say that it was a favor right? Than maybe the other god, our world's needed help." Yoksha gave his thoughts, staring up to the sky that was slowly turning black.

Side story

Within the realm of the gods there was a little girl conversing with a ball of light.

"Yaldabaoth, what the hell! You only sent six people to my world, I thought you said that you'd be sending me a whole group! twenty or so!" said the girl. Matter of fact, she's a god, goddess of the world Legilia.

"That was the plan but only the six were strong enough, even then I compensated them to be powerful enough for you demon king problem, Alia," replied Yaldabaoth.

"You just half-ass everything you big ball of-- GAH! Whatever! I'm here because the Piladium Kingdom only summoned five heroes, where's the sixth?"

"I don't know, don't care. Five should be enough right?"

"Five should be able to take care of the problem. Should. But the real problem here is the irresponsibility towards your own inhabitants and duty!" shouted Alia, waving her hands in anger.

"What does it matter? I did your little favor and you act like this?"

That seemed to be the breaking point for her. Getting mad, she entered a heated debate between her and Yaldabaoth, arguing about how irresponsible he is as a god and how he should treat mankind better.
