Last thread we had declared war on the Drake Nation of Heboranaz as they had attacked elves to our north. Hoping to catch the drake nation off guard we have chosen to attack them.

As for the war itself,

In total, the army is 17,830 Soldiers.

After Several Days of Marching through Fedran we end up in Jerefemen who have kindly agreed to let us through, but have chosen not to participate in the war unless they are attacked.

Our army is currently stationed around Jerefemen. Our Operation Tailgate agents state that Heboranaz currently has 5,000 drakes and 5,000 Kobolds on the Frontlines. It is also expecting support from other Drake nations, the numbers they are sending is unknown. As we camp near Jerefemen a messenger is sent out with a Declaration of War.

What shall we do? (See the map)

The Plan is agreed upon, we shall march everyone eastwards against the forts in the Hills. The Naval Phase of the war shall be saved for later, however the army, now 15,230 strong starts marching Eastward, hoping to take down the enemy. As we advance forward, Monsoon rains start to appear, which certainly bog down our advance.

As we advance past the Human lands and strike straight into the Drake lands, taking a major school, primarily revolving around magic and natural sciences. The Denizens simply did not put up a fight. Afterwards we advance eastwards towards the Tin Mine, and we take down the relatively weak garrison stationed at the hill forts there as well. However, we have spotted messengers running away, possibly with reports of our advances.

With our troops having conquered the eastern borders of Heboranaz, this makes many ponder what we must do now.

It is now 2 days after the declaration of war.

We begin to send out Rangers and scouts to check the areas while our army rests in the forts.

The Rangers report us the following.
It appears that the drakes are pulling troops off of their frontline, and rousing additional troops in the number of Seven Thousand and Five Hundred. In total the amount of forces being pulled are about Ten Thousand, and there might be more coming from their allies.

As for the school, within it holds level 5 Fire Magic, and about level 3 in all other schools of magic with the exception of Dark magic.

Edgewing allows us to further break through the Drake lines, and actually gives us a clear avenue to link up with the elves if we so wish. At the moment the elves appear to be content with remaining in their trenches and not attacking at all. Rather, they fire from their cover upon the drakes. As for the flanking forces, our forces are holding them off for the time being. It appears that the drake lines are slowly crumbling.

As we advance through Spaeratas, we find that many elves actually join our advance throughout their lands. 500 join us in total. They appear to be from a faction of Revolutionaries called Eoka Bopa. They claim they have no connection to the former terrorist cell Bopa Eoka. Regardless, our advance throughout Spaeratas is quick, it appears that the drakes had left virtually no garrison outside of some simple town guards and watchmen meant to keep the peace. We march southwards on Yellowhold! Our army breaks camp and after some time packing up it begins its march southwards. These lands appear to have been abandoned by the drakes, it's very likely they knew we were coming. The fort just outside of Yellowhold is taken over by us easily enough. The Garrison inside appears to be about Five Thousand Kobolds, although many of them are civilians that have taken up arms. On top of that, it appears that our latest supply shipments have not made it through.

As for news about the rest of the Heboranazi and Bevherumt armies, we do not know their locations, but the Heboranaz army appears to be six thousand strong, and the Bevherumt army is about three and a half thousand according to our last estimates. The Heboranaz army fled southeast, and the Bevherumt army fled directly west. Elven Defectors who fled into our lands are stating that the Heboranaz army is resting at the fort North of Emberhold, about a day's march away from our current location.

Our men begin to set up camp in the fort, which was cleared for traps. However, the area around Yellowhold appears to be full of traps, these Kobolds are quite crafty. How shall we proceed?

We march out westwards towards Heboranaz. It takes us about two days of march, and eventually we reach it, Heboranaz. Two sets of walls block our entry by land, and an entire layer of walls surrounds the city in order to protect it from naval attacks. The docks themselves are heavily fortified and protected, and it appears that from Roc Rider estimations, the populace are also arming themselves, while the harvest is still happening with the farms.

At the entrance a diplomat awaits us, simply asking us.

"Why have you declared war upon us? Is there no way we can have peace?"

Finally a sum of gold (worth 2 in the conomic tab) will be payed towards us.
>>
>>2830728
"We shall agree to such demands, Argeno. Your kind has no honor, and do not listen to Non-Aggression Pacts and treaties. We feel no need to sign one with you. Spaeratas shall be released as a free state. Heboranaz shall cease its war against Manstetus, and we shall pay you your gold."

That being said, we return home, at last happy. Spaeratas has been released as a free state, and while there are almost no Elves there, it appears that they have started to allow a new kind of being into their lands... They are called Orcs, an extremely warlike people who have polarized views on war and honor. They come from the far far east, across the sea and canyons. While there is merely a few streaming in from the east, it is possible they may breed the elves out of existence in that area over a long period of time.
