In the last session you returned the girl home to the Farsalos village. The settlement turned out to be isolated from the rest of the country, drastically short on manpower, in danger of famine and in a desperate state of disrepair. After a successful hunt we ended up saving the village once again from a strange psychic parasite hivemind at the cost of major injuries. The creature's last message mentioned that it is acting in the name of some goddess. You wonder who could that be.

A beam of sunlight passes through the damaged part of the wall and hits you directly into the eyes. Good morning! Smile and shine! Bloody hell, even full body genetic augmentation didn't turn you into a morning person. The sleep was not great, you just blacked out and still felt the numb pain in your belly as the various over- engineered repair bio-mechanisms tried to frantically patch you up.

Groggy from the uncomfortable sleep you sit in your bed and stretch a bit. It seems that the wound was too big to heal within just a couple hours and the foamy gel was replaced by a white material similar to silicon on touch but much tougher. So that's what your scars look like now. Luckily, the remaining wounds have fully been healed with just minor discoloration remaining. You think that it should disappear completely during the day.

As you check your jumpsuit you notice that some smaller holes which were left from the first fight are completely gone and others are smaller than you expected. It seems that it is indeed self- repairing. You consider it good news as even though it makes you stand out it is pretty comfortable and you like the color. Maybe you could wear it below some local clothing to hide it in the future?

As you exit the house you note that the villagers are hard at work. Children sit in the middle of the village while adults are carrying previously infected corpses into a giant pile. What is interesting, they are all wearing wet cloth over their faces and their hands are wrapped in fabric to create makeshift gloves. It looks like some form of sanitation knowledge has survived across the centuries. They are also reciting prayers to some deity called "Mortati". Something about begging him to not let them get sick and cure them if they do. You need to make yourself useful...

I am introducing a new mechanic: Every vote counts
As long as the options don't conflict in time or intent they will be applied simultaneously. Else the most popular option would be chosen.
During combat all rolls are accounted to better simulate tilting scales of battle. Amount of votes would alter the flow of battle, the more people vote the faster and more chaotic it would seem.

The food situation in the village is not great and unfortunately your entire haul was contaminated during the last battle, so you decided that hunting once again would be a great idea. Unfortunately the bow was pretty much annihilated during the battle. It was broken in several spots and the string was damaged. You need to come up with another solution for hunting. There are several ways you can do this...

You could just try to twist the necks with telekinesis, but it just feels cruel to the creatures. You are also not sure if you'll be able to pull this off without training, but that should slowly improve your telekinesis skills.

Alternatively you could throw projectiles with telekinesis. You think that your performance would be worse as you've never used telekinetic projectiles out of combat before.

You could also craft some kind of weapon. You are yet to investigate the smithy so you decide to hold up on re-forging your salvage just yet. Your first tools will have to be made out of stone and wood.

Spears or javelins might be a good choice for both hunting and defense, but they have small range. A sling is also an option but it would take some time to get used to it. You could try to craft another bow, but you lack decent material for the bowstring. Attempt to use easily available plant fibers would result in weak bow which can easily break under tension. It might be preferable to kill some large animal for its tendons and sinews to craft a better bowstring.

>Just go for pure telekinesis
>Telekinetic projectiles
>Craft a weapon(write-in)
>>
>>2747530
Twisting their necks is the LEAST cruel thing we could possibly do. Do it fast, and the only way to be gentler would be to inject them full of sedatives or get VERY good with needles and nervous systems.

>Just go for pure telekinesis
We can think about weapons after we've procured skins for armor/clothing and sinews for bows.

....these villagers CAN tan leather, right?
>>

>Just go for pure telekinesis

>>
>>2747550
They can tan leather, yes. There is a small building to the north of the village which is equipped for this and some villagers have relevant skills. However, the villagers are out of materials due to their hunters leaving for war.

After a little bit of thinking you decide that it would be better to try to only use your powers. Breaking the neck of an animal would probably be the most ethical way to quickly end their suffering. In addition, this would allow you to potentially skip the stone tools in favor of better options as you bring the village on its feet. And the last but not least bonus is that you will learn to control your powers better. With all these points, you consider that the benefits outweigh the costs and after grabbing the bags you set off into the forest.

You are almost completely silent as you stalk below the tree canopies, but your blue costume stands out like a sore thumb. Your cloak was too damaged to take along. In addition your power control is not the best. You have some experience with using telekinesis to excavate ground but you've never tried to do anything else outside life and death struggles. However, it seems that the animals were scared away by the parasite and are now returning into the forest so you have plenty of targets.

Your first catch... didn't go as planned. You decided to modify telekinetic crush to severe the spine of a grouse but you... overdid it. If anyone asks that chunky salsa on the branch has nothing to do with you. Hopefully the poor bird didn't suffer much.

Disgusted by the first failure you decided that it might be a good idea to try out the new power on something inanimate. After an hour of different attempts and lots of exploded sticks you have finally managed to create a technique to successfully twist the neck of a creature without imploding its whole head or something equally nasty. Quick and hopefully painless. Or at least as painless as it gets.

You decided to skip the animals which were not considered worth hunting for food such as badgers and searched for the bigger game. Finally, you have scored a jackpot. A small family of wild boars. Three adults and four piglets. You approached them from the tree tops and they never saw you coming. With some concentration you have managed to lift up and immobilize all of them in midair. Now they are at your mercy.

>Bring them back alive. You are not sure how wild boars compare to pigs in captivity but this is an option.
>Slay the adults and bring the piglets. This will take much less effort

>>
>>2747839
The larger boars are a constant strain on your powers. You are not sure if you'd be able to carry them all the way while they are constantly squirming and screaming, so you have to pull out your knife and kill them one by one. Luckily the piglets are much lighter and thus are much less of a hassle to carry.

After a thorough check in case parasites are still around you start hauling your catch towards the village. The way is not too long but all boars combined weight almost three times of your body mass. Those are large pigs and hopefully they would feed the village for a few days. Boar hide was also used for shields in ancient times, so maybe you should ask the tanners to prepare the hides. With you hunting they should get some spare time off the fields.

When you arrive the villagers have already finished with the cleanup and a huge bonfire is burning on the unused field. The look of astonishment and happiness on the villager faces is worth every bit of sweat, even though it was not really that hard on your body. Boars will be skinned and prepared for storage. As these people don't have much in terms of preservation most of the meat will be smoked to preserve it for longer. Boar tendons would also be useful for manufacturing of bowstrings. Piglets would be placed in a pig pen which was abandoned since last tax and requisition.

You are slightly concerned of how Oisin starts preaching once you unload the goods. You might want to study a little bit more about the language to understand what is he talking about.

>Study. You can attempt to kill two rabbits with one stone here. Finding out about the pantheon and improving your Cenophilan language understanding
>Hunt more. The more you hunt the more meat will be around for the villagers. However, they are still occupied with meat processing so they will need some help
>Investigate the fields. Maybe you could try to use your telekinesis to plow one of the unused fields? You were informed, however, that villagers only have enough seeds to plant one and a half fields with barley and half of the field with varied vegetables.
>Craft a bow. You need a ranged weapon to compliment your powers
>Cut some wood. Unfortunately the axe is a bit shagged, but you can still pulverize a tree for some firewood

This language barrier is annoying you already. You can't investigate individual problems of the villagers, you can't investigate nearby settlements and you can't understand what the hell Oisin is saying about you without it. Also you would really like to know more about the local pantheon. Maybe there is some goddess who makes monsters to terrorize the locals? In any case, time to poke Zosime for some tutoring.

The old woman is grateful for saving the village twice and helping with the immediate food problem so she agrees almost immediately. During the lesson you manage to vastly increase your vocabulary and grammar, however your sentence structure is still mostly taken directly out of Modern English and you have pretty thick accent. This would immediately give away you as a foreigner if you decide to go anywhere outside the village and Zosime warns you that it can potentially be dangerous. Foreign spies are a thing that local people fear and hate. On the plus side you can now communicate with locals much more freely and with less discomfort. Potentially you should be able to improve rapidly as you communicate more with villagers.

On the subject of deities, you are getting a strong Greek Olympian vibe in certain behaviors. There are some stories about deities creating monsters to terrorize the population for misdeeds, however most monsters are supposed to be ancient and existed throughout all recorded history of local people. Also Zosime tells you that in other nations there are other deities who also answer to the prayers.

The pantheon consists out of the "core" and "periphery" deity positions. The core is 12 deities who are supposed to have immense powers. The periphery consists out of numerous weaker beings which have varied origin stories. Some were demigods who ascended to the pantheon, some were human heroes who were granted powers and eternal life for their service and some were forged by the gods themselves.

It is on the actual names where you score unbelievable odds. Head goddess of wisdom and knowledge Elspeth. Fucking Elspeth, are you for real? Dan never said anything about her being power hungry. She is displayed as a woman of unbelievable beauty with bright red hair and preferring spear and shield as her favored weapons. She seems to be well liked by the locals and you can clearly see some resemblance to Athena. Stories about her creating the monsters are rare and mostly to either counter or contain a larger threat or to keep people away from dangerous or valuable places.
>>
>>2748031
Regarding your search for the culprit you are a little bit short. It doesn't seem that there are any goddesses that explicitly have powers over flesh. There are six goddesses in the pantheon and only one has power to create life other than Elspeth. Plant life to be exact. It is Goddess of Harvest Ninmah. Another potential culprit would be God of Healing, Medicine and assorted stuff Mortati as there is a story when someone extorted him into creating some monster that was later slain by some hero.

Considering all of this, the monster could be created by them, but it could have fled nearby country or it could have been created by a third party completely. However, the fact that local deities did similar things in the past should still warrant your attention.

It is getting close to sunset now, so you can't really do much with things that involve the villagers directly. What would you like to do?

Tonight villagers had quite a dinner. You decided to give a hand with cooking a soup which doesn't involve just throwing random ingredients in and ended up with a boar meat stew with some carrots, onions and mushrooms seasoned with local herbs. Villagers were pleasantly surprised with it. Boar meat tastes quite different from pork, it is a bit harder and less fatty. You were quite surprised too as you have never cooked anything much more complex than prepack meals.

As villagers retire to their homes you decide that this night you will do something productive. There are three fields, one is occupied by a bonfire, another is about a quarter planted and another was not used for three years. It has to be plowed and seeded for the village to have a chance to prepare for winter. Considering that they lack an actual plow and have to use wooden shovels makes it an improbable task.

After some considerations you have decided not to touch the seeded field. You are not yet trained with your powers and thus you fear that you would damage the crops. However, the unoccupied field seems to be a good place to train your powers. You move into position and focus...

As you have expected, it is pretty difficult to control your powers accurately. At first you excavate too little. There is a reason why people plow the fields deeper than several inches. Thus it seems that applying the same telekinesis trick you used on boars is not a great idea.

Maybe you could apply the same approach as with the tentacle wolves? Uhh... whoops? The sound that this way of excavation makes is a little bit too loud and it mixes up too many stones into the soil so you undo the damage to the field.

Eventually you come around to a method that will allow you to plow a field at a decent quality. It is a strange form of telekinesis application which is more akin to a washing machine than conventional plowing. You create several rotating barrels of force inside of the ground breaking it apart into smaller pieces and creating a neat row for planting.

You are happy with your work, however it doesn't seem that the soil is particularly good in this neck of the woods. Judging by the layers, people once cleared this place through slash and burn agriculture. The dirt contains large amounts of clay and is probably mildly acidic. Nothing out of the norm but this would not be beneficial for plants. Without addition of large quantities of fertilizer the resulting harvest would be mediocre. Barely enough to last the village through winter.

> Just plow the field, you could add fertilizer after you plant the crops. At current rate you will take until the end of the day to finish.
> Bring in several trees and shred them whole into fine sawdust, add them to the fields and water it. This should result in sawdust composting and giving some nutrients to the soil.
> Excavate upper layer of dirt from the forest floor and mix it into the field soil. Upper dirt layer should be more nutritious for plants.
> Bring in several trees and burn them. The resulting ash should do fine
> Any other suggestion

You decide that this is their field and they should decide what to add into it. Maybe they have cultural reasons or preferred fertilizer. Thus you decide to just wrap up with the field. You can add up the rest when time comes. With that in mind you start whistling a small tune to yourself as your powers drill into the earth and break it apart into soft soil suitable for planting. You almost don't notice how the night passes and day starts.

You manage to finish the entire field in just about 12 hours, which you consider to be pretty amazing according to the size of the field. As you finished with the field you turn towards the village and see a group of villagers watching you with amazement. You were too preoccupied with your work and that stupid song now stuck in your head that you haven't seen them arrive. They have probably been standing there for the last half an hour or so, coming to tend the field but getting distracted by you.

However it is a great opportunity to ask them about the fertilizers. The villagers explain that they used to make fertilizer from their farm animal waste mixed with ash from burned wood. There are no more farm animals with small exception of the piglets you brought and the ash in upon itself is not too great of a fertilizer. This is one of the reasons for the bonfire on the other field.

You decide to help the villagers plant the field. You can carry piles of seeds dropping a few into the ground as the seed blob floats over the field, but you are still having issues with multiple items. This is enough to accelerate the watering and planting of seeds and the barley field is fully planted just before the noon. This was pretty exhausting, comparable to back when you threw an entire tree at that tentacle monster. You should probably wait for a bit before using telekinesis that intensively again. Well, time for a change in activity:

You decide to listen in on Oisin's preaching. You feel like being there would change how he preaches so you decide to hide behind one of the houses to observe. It is lunch time and he seems to be preparing for the prayer before food consumption...

"...Let us thank Agatha, the sibling of our Great Elspeth, our Liberator from the Blight, for providing the game in our cellars and the food on our plates! For she pitied us in our hour of need. For she protects us from dangers and helps us recover. Let us thank her for her kindness and demureness for she does not demand our adoration and worship for her deeds..."

Wait, is this guy trying to worship you? Wasn't he supposed to be preaching for Ninmah for food and harvest or to Nike' for hunt and game? The villagers seem to be taking it well...

Wait, he has arrived to the village from the wilderness. He doesn't necessarily preach to the Cenophilan pantheon. He seems to be trying to weave you into the local mythos as some sort of minor goddess. His status in the village has dropped massively after you have defeated that naga creature so he is probably trying to make himself a new spot. What should you do?

Wow guys, that is quite a spread. First and third option seems to be compatible while exposing Oisin is not. Let's go with we don't expose Oisin, plan to gain stuff from the village from the future and inform Oisin to stop with his shit in private.
>>
>>2748655

>>
>>2748655
I'm fine with combining 1 & 3, but we'll have to understand sooner or later that while we might consider those folks our equals they don't think the same.
>>
>>2748655
Rather quietly stop him then.
>>
>>2748655
You don't like this at all. You are not a goddess, even though you are made out of the same stuff as Elspeth. You especially don't want to be connected to her in myths as her sister or daughter or whatever Oisin thinks up next. Being your uncle's co-worker is not a connection worth talking about.

However, exposing Oisin right now would result in a lot of really angry villagers targeted at him and you don't fancy his chances to run away or survive if he succeeds. You decide to let this slip for now but you catch him in private after the meal.

Oisin cowers in fear in front of you, already guessing why you've called him. Pitiful sight. You tell him that you are not a goddess and that you are not affiliated with Elspeth in any way and that he should stop telling villagers otherwise. You warn him that if he continues you will have to make an official statement to the villagers and he will have to eat the fallout himself.

He asks how you'd wish yourself to be presented and after your suggestion to be considered just a powerful wizard Oisin informs you that he is familiar with heroes, wizards and even a couple angels, who are apparently called cup bearers in Cenophila, and you are more powerful than most of them. Psi users are usually descendants of nobility and strongest of them could replicate your telekinetic crush only a couple times before getting exhausted while risking a stroke or mental trauma.

He proposes to either paint you as a Cup Bearer or as an Outsider, as those would be the only realistic options. He claims that outsiders are mysterious people who rarely appear in border towns and bring news from faraway lands or hide in plain sight as travelers. They are told to have powers comparable to greater heroes and cup bearers. This sounds like pod people to you.

He warns you that not many people know about their existence and claiming to be one will rapidly draw attention of Cenophilan authorities wishing to hire or recruit you.

Your other option could be to ask villagers to keep your powers secret and tone them down by a factor of hundred when interacting with outsiders.

You decide to go for Outsider. Technically that would be correct in your case. You suspect that Outsiders are mainly pod people. You also take a look at the bonfire which has almost finished burning and a thought crosses your mind: people will see the smoke. It might be a good idea to instruct the villagers on how they should explain who you are to the travelers.

You could claim to be an Outsider for sure, these people are rarely fucked with directly, but you can expect a lot of psychological pressure to join Cenophilan Cup Bearers. You could claim to be a hermit from the forest. That way you could either mimic as a villager or separate yourself from the village. This, however, could tip off people to you being an Outsider anyway.

In the end you decide to call yourself a traveling wizard. That way you will draw manageable amount of attention even though you'll have to fake exhaustion and cut your powers by a massive margin. After a small preparation you call a meeting with the entire village and explain the situation.

You claim that Oisin and you had a misunderstanding of your origin and you explain that you are an Outsider. While you know who Elspeth is, you are not affiliated with her in any way and you don't want to be worshiped. Then you ask the villagers to claim that you are a traveling wizard and to downplay your achievements if any visitors come to the village. People seem to understand and agree to these terms.

Well, this problem was wrapped up before it became a problem. Time to move to the next.

Isn't there plenty of them that are abandoned? To be fair as long as it has a roof that isn't going to fall down it would just mean cleaning it and maybe removing a wall for aeration. The best source of timber/lumber right now would be the buildings that are too damaged to be readily repaired

You decide to investigate the smithy. Local tools are in a bad state of disrepair and people need tools to grow food and build houses. You would also like to use it to manufacture some tools for yourself. Bronze arrowheads or a bronze spear would be nice to have.

As you approach the smithy you can hear that someone is working inside. It is Pelagia, blacksmith's daughter. Blacksmith had to go to war and he didn't teach his daughter how to correctly work the metal. He was probably waiting for a boy but his wife has died during childbirth leaving the girl the only owner of the smithy.

She seems to be trying to fix an old bent sickle. She warms it up, cools it off and then tries to hammer it in place, but bronze tool just shatters from her efforts. She has recently been freed off the field duty to try to repair some tools and she had little success. Just watching a smith work from the sidelines can tell you only that much.

She sees you and says "Ah, miss Agatha, how may I help you?". You explain that you'd like to get the smithy up and running and thus you decided to see what's wrong. She explains that there are a few issues.

First of all she has no idea what she's doing, as expected. Luckily you should so you can teach her.

Second issue is the materials. There are a few damaged copper and bronze tools, but they just break no matter what she tries to do. After some observation you note that the cause is low quality material and not only her misunderstandings. Bronze has some kind of admixture which makes it much more brittle. You guess that it could be possible to re-smelt it.

The smelter is luckily undamaged but the molds are cracked, so you will need to deal with this problem.

There is also a copper mine nearby, which was abandoned due to the lack of workers. This could provide the necessary metal for all the tools you might need.

>Go to the mines. You might want to prepare so you won't run out of material
>Attempt to smelt the tools and pour into sand casts. The quality would be terrible but you would have instant result which can be improved with a lot of sandpaper
>Attempt to find hypsum or any other material used for the casts
>Excavate stone and try to make molds out of it with telekinesis

Sandcasting would be the best idea unless we plan on large scale manufacturing.

>Just use telekinetic molds. Yolo
>>
>>2749085
>Use the cracked molds and YOLO the leaks with telekinesis
>Use telekinesis to keep the surfaces free from scaling. That way we'll know if the impurities come from the material or from bad process.
>>
>>2749085
Out of curiosity, in this scenario, why would a sand mold give worse result than a plaster one?
>>
>>2749178
You need specific sand to make molds. If you use just any sand it gets really lumpy. From what I undertsand casting sand has to have very fine grain.
>>
>>2749211
Less than fine grain it's more that it uses clay rather than pure sand. Modern sand casting uses additives to get the same kind of composition.

The two of you ignite the smelter and load it up with shards of bronze tools. They smelt about as you could have expected. However, as you keep mixing the molten bronze with telekinesis and adding more fuel to the furnace you notice that a fraction is being separated from material. A little bit of telekinetic centrifuging later you have successfully separated this admixture. Whatever it is it solidified in black and grey glassy material. There was almost 0.1% of this stuff mixed into the alloy. After some questioning the girl explains that this could be the tin. Tin was purchased from the nearby town years ago and copper tools don't seem to be as brittle as bronze. The supplier was supposed to be trustworthy though.

After smelting you prepared the molds to try casting process. A mold of a knife blade was chosen because it was the simplest mold. This mold was also replicated in a box filled with sand. The third mold was made out of pure telekinetic force.

Sand mold has resulted in incredibly lumpy blade with small sand particles clearly seen on the surface. This is a quick way to make a mold but local sand doesn't seem to be a good fit for casting. Good sand casting requires incredibly fine sand with additives that doesn't exist freely in nature.

Second option was telekinesis. Unfortunately you haven't trained it enough to make such precise shapes. You ended up with a chunk of bronze in the shape of a stretched sphere. Maybe in the future it would become an option, but not now.

The original mold with all the holes plugged with telekinesis had the best result. You have successfully made a knife blade. After a little bit of testing it became apparent that this was indeed tin's fault. The knife had plasticity comparable to normal bronze and didn't snap in half from a few hammer blows.

You investigate the mold. It seems to be some type of ceramic with some calcium sulfate admixture. In other words, gypsum. Plaster casting allows for fine surface finish and as sedimentary rock it is usually found in river beds and lake basins.

Gypsum has many uses, from construction to fertilizer to metallurgy, so you immediately ask where do these people take gypsum from. There is a spot in a couple hours of walking nearby in a lowland area and here it is. You pulverize a large chunk of this wonder material and bring it back.

Using plaster mold has resulted in similar performance to the ceramic mold, but gypsum had to be broken to pull out the cast. At least you have some success with casting.

You decide that the village can't wait much for the tools, so you proceed to manufacture large quantities of various molds for casting. Sickles, hatchets, shovel heads, axe heads, pickaxes, hoes, knifes and many others before you start up your telekinetic casting factory. With telekinesis you manage to simulate pressure casting somewhat ensuring that the mold is fully filled with bronze. Pelagia watches attentively as you explain her some basic principles of casting but eventually she has to retire to her bed as you work through the night retooling the entire village.

In the morning all tools look shiny and new. You eventually ran out of bronze and had to make the rest out of copper but entire carpentry, farming and bare necessities tools are done out of shiny bronze and ready for work. And just in time as Pelagia is already outside and ready for her adventure. You give out the tools and set off for the mine.

The mine ends up quite a way away from the town, almost four hours of walking, and you have to make a break for your baseline human companion for food and rest, but eventually you reach the entrance. It is closed by rough wooden plank cover with unintelligible writings and the planks are a little bit tilted.

You decide to go in first. If it is dangerous you will hopefully notice and counter it with your powers. You slide the cover to the side and start moving into the opening. A light appears behind you as Pelagia lights up her torch. Oh, right it is pitch black here and she can't see shit.

The tunnel continues at about 10 degree angle down for almost a hundred meters before it forks into two tunnels. One leads straight forward while another leads to the right and down at a sharper angle. You continue through the upper tunnel and it ends up in a dead end with several straight short paths leading to both sides.

As you observe the walls a rock on the wall which caught your attention. It has distinct brass yellow crystals. Chalcopyrite! You are in luck. This is the simplest copper ore to process, you just need to roast it for the oxygen in the atmosphere to free the copper.

Well, this path is safe, now to check out the other one. You return to the path and start walking down. After some distance you note another intersection similar to the one on first level leading into the fish skeleton section of the tunnel with copper ore in the walls. However the other path leads to an opening which is used by the miners for rest. There is a path leading deep down from this room and a path leading to the right. Path to the right seems to have more cobwebs. There are quite a few ceramic shards and random items on the floor...

You decide to look into the cobwebbed tunnel. As you move through it you start seeing more cobwebs in the distance with some thicker webs the further you go. It also seems that the path is getting wider and more natural, like if workers accidentally drilled into a cave. A sucked dry rat the size of a big dog tells you all you need to know. Spiders. Goddamn giant spiders. Nope, nope, nope, nope NOPE!

You hear a loud rumble behind you and a gust of wind extinguishes the torch causing the smith girl to yelp in fear. You can see six large red eyes in the distance and a whole lot of smaller eyes...

You don't want to deal with another creepy monster today, so you decide to collapse the cave. As smaller spiders start rushing your position across the cave you start focusing on the presumed weak points. As you apply your powers a shockwave rolls across the cave knocking out several stalactites on the incoming spiders. This is not enough, you put in more effort and the whole ceiling cracks and starts crumbling into the cave.

Now it's time to get out for real, you decide and turn to see your companion crawled into a fetal position and absolutely horrified from what is happening. There is no time to waste as you lift her up and sprint for the exit. Unfortunately it seems that the tunnel which connected the miner's room and the entrance has collapsed. There is no other way and you have to run towards the path down before the shower of debris hits you.

That tunnels leads down while twisting and turning and it ends up in another opening. Luckily this cave lacks a giant spider habitat. Unfortunately you can't quite see the edge of it as it leads deep down into the earth.

You unload Pelagia near to the wall but she is still too scared to do anything. Nothing better comes to your mind than to hug the scared girl and whisper to her that everything is going to be ok and that you are pretty sure most of the spiders should be dead. Smith girl sobs and whispers that she should not be here. She was not scared of the spiders, she was scared of the dark. And this is the actual phobia, her hands are cold and she is shaking all over.

You end up comforting the girl for a few minutes before picking her up and setting off to the spider cave. Cave in has successfully killed the spiders with few exceptions that were quickly dispatched by tele-crushing and the evening sun was shining from the hole which opened directly to the outside. If you focus you could float out even though it is pretty high up. However, you don't think it is a great idea to leave the entrance to that cave open. Should you collapse it?

You decide that it would be safer if you collapse the tunnel. A few applications of telekinesis have buried the path to the giant cave shut. It would be nice to explore this cave, but you've played Dwarf Fortress and this alone tells you that's a really bad idea.

After about 15 minutes of various focusing experiments you have finally managed to lift yourself and Pelagia out of the newly formed crater and towards the entrance to the cave. She soon feels better and even suggests to wait outside for a bit as you collect almost twice your weight of copper ore so that it doesn't feel like a failed mission. It takes you something like an hour and a half but you'll probably never have to come here again without need.

You manage to get home close to nighttime and smith girl wanders back into her house to sleep the experience off. After you have unloaded a large pile of ore near to the smelter you encounter Xanthe who has been looking for you. She needs an advice regarding her daughter Rheia, the girl you've saved when you killed the naga monster.

The woman claims that the girl can sometimes get struck by intense horror out of the blue and she has trouble falling asleep. She also became quiet and tries not to interact with people if possible. You are not a psychologist but you guess that this should somehow be involved with the horrific experience of almost being sacrificed, and her mother agrees.

What should you do?
>There are no antidepressants or PTSD medication on this planet anymore and you are no professional, you can't help her much

You can't come up with anything better than just deciding to talk with her. You are not a psychologist, if you have that knowledge you can't pull it out yet. All you can hope is that Rheia gets better after your visits.

After a short walk across the village you finally approach their house and enter. Rheia is lying in her bed staring blankly into the ceiling. You call her name and she turns towards you. "Hello, Agatha. I thought you were busy today" she says. You smile and reply that you wanted to help to rebuild the village sooner. She smiles in return.

"You know, I really thought I would die back there. I was so scared. Blight has just... disappeared into a lot of blood and body parts in front of my eyes. I thought that the same would happen to me. I am really grateful for your kindness but... I am sorry, but I still have nightmares about that day. " she says and looks at you sadly. You are not sure what to say, but the girl continues "Other people, they have just blindly accepted that I should die. When I didn't they blindly accepted Oisin's words about me being chosen by you for some reason. I had no idea what to do, I was supposed to become your servant or something, I guess, I am not sure. When you explained who you really were everyone just returned to their work as usual. I no longer feel comfortable with these people".

Hello guys. I have finally woken up and dealt with immediate problems. We can start once again. Looks like most people want to take her along. I'll start writing the post

Rheia is about 16 but she looks almost 2 years younger due to being malnourished. She should get back in shape pretty quickly though.

You are not sure how to help Rheia with the nightmares, but you understand why she is uncomfortable with the villagers. You'd probably feel the same way in her shoes. Villagers are not helpful either. They have no idea that they've lost her trust.

You think about it for a moment and then tell her: "They are simple people, as you once were. And simple is what is needed for the lives they live. But what you need is not so simple. In fact, it's beyond my knowledge, something I would call a doctor for." The girl nods as she agrees with you.

"Maybe you could come with me?" You ask as Rheia looks at you surprised. "I have no need in servants and I don't know if that would help you, but this would bring you into a world where people are not simple. I can also share some of my knowledge." The girl looks at you uncomfortably, not sure what to say. Then it clicks in your head and you add "It has to be your choice though. I am not leaving tomorrow so you have some time to think about it all." Rheia looks at you and thanks you quietly.

You stay with her for a little longer as she falls asleep. You hope that she rests easier now and you leave her house to meet her mother outside. She asks you how did it go and you truthfully tell her that this is a complex issue. An actual psychological trauma which needs medication and expertise that no longer exists and lengthy treatment. You also tell her that she no longer trusts the villagers and you can see the reason why. The woman doesn't look too happy about the news, but she thanks you for trying to help before returning to her home. You decided not to tell her that you suggested Rheia to join you in your travels as it would probably worry her unnecessarily. You hope that you've done the right thing.

This is about midnight and you are currently debating what you should do:

You decide that it would be a good time for some infrastructural improvement. The village consists out of iron age wood and thatch houses in a pretty bad shape and a bunch of ruins to the east of the village. Better than living outside but totally insufficient for winter or any sort of comfort. Villagers have informed you that they are okay with you bulldozing the ruins and building things you deem necessary, but you should probably inform them about any major rebuilding plans.

There are a few things you could do. The village is of an irregular shape. You could just build better houses in the spots where they stood or you could reshape the village into a more efficiently spaced settlement.

Village currently has a specialized smithy, tannery and meat smoking buildings in decent shape. Granary appears to be in a critical condition and carpenter's building is just a roof and a table. You could remake these buildings or build new ones.

> Replan the entire village. You can house villagers in newly constructed buildings while you completely recreate it. They can have a central well, paved roads, good large buildings, well equipped spacious facilities. This is a major project

> Use existing village plan and start with ruined houses to the east. You could house villagers there while you reconstruct the village as it is but with better buildings. This is also a major project

> Plan construction of a utility or industrial building. A warehouse for wood, replacement granary, a well closer to the village center or something else.

> Plan defensive installations. Palisade around the fields, wooden walls for the residential area, a couple of lookout towers maybe

> Prepare for major refurbishment of buildings. Harvest and process wood. You will repair but not alter the village itself

You think about what the village needs the most. The buildings are a bit damaged, but it is still summer and you can come back to them later. You don't want to deal with major planning before villagers are around either.

Villagers seem to lack any kind of defenses. There is no wall, there is no palisade and there are no armed and trained villagers either. Walls have limited effectiveness without anyone manning them but it seems that they are in the neck of the woods and thus the main threat is just wild animals.

Another problems are connected to the village's infrastructure. Well is far away, roads are made of dirt, granary is leaning and has more holes than your jumpsuit and so on. You might want to do something with that.

These things are pressing enough that you decide to push yourself to finish both project within the nearest future.

choose one in each category

Defenses:
>Plan out the external wall. This should encompass the entire village and its fields with account to potential growth. This will require a lot of materials maaking it either time consuming or primitive
>Plan out the internal wall. This wall would surround the village center and living area with account for future development. It will take less resources to build and thus could be made with fancier construction methods
>Plan out field wall. You can create a palisade fence around the fields to prevent wild animals getting in and eating the crops as well as to protect seedlings from wind
>Plan out watchtowers. Sturdy and tall buildings designed to overlook the surrounding area around the village. Currently useless without anyone to man them but they would be beneficial when population grows

Infrastructural projects:
>Prepare construction of a village well. It will require you to dig out and shape stone bricks but it will allow access to clean water from inside of the relative safety of the village
>Prepare the kiln foundation. This will allow villagers to manufacture ceramics for both construction and food storage. This will allow you to mass produce clay bricks and multi use molds for metallurgy
>Prepare foundation for replacement granary. Current granary won't cut it for food storage once supplies start growing. New granary would have actual foundation, thick and sturdy walls and an actual roof. You want it to stand for decades!
>Prepare foundation for a construction yard. A combination of a warehouse and workshop designed to be operated through telekinesis. This will allow you to efficiently process raw materials into building supplies making any other construction easier, however villagers won't be able to operate it
>Prepare foundation for warehouse. You need a place for villagers to efficiently store all materials and tools
>Prepare foundation for specialized carpentry. Just a table and an axe is not sufficient. Villagers need a way to process wood for repairs and construction

The inner wall should create a fallback position for the villagers. They could take cover behind it while you deal with whatever attacks the village. Let's start with that. You cut several trees and turn them into logs which you use to display the wall edges. After that you dig a small channel between these points. Whatever type of the wall you plan to make would need this foundation.

Secondary project is granary. Current granary is small and insufficient. You plan out almost twice the area of the previous granary and excavate two meter deep hole. The next step is creating cement. You mix water, sand, pebbles, some larger stones and pulverized gypsum. This creates a solution similar to roman concrete, but they preferred other type of binding agent.

The walls and floors of the cellar are made out of heavy plates made out of stones bound in concrete while the cellar's ceiling(and by extension granary floor) is supported with wooden beams which hold up a less dense concrete plate. To minimize the sound you create all building blocks some distance away from the village and then carry them into place and assemble them like Lego. You are surprised that it all fits perfectly as you mainly eyeballed it.

The building itself is made out of wood. You add raised concrete foundation to prevent wood rot and the frame is assembled out of squared logs. You decided to make the walls out of planks with sawdust as insulation, but you cursed yourself throughout the entire process.

It seems that planks are really tedious to make by hand even if you don't get tired and have telekinesis. The roof is also made out of planks with a thatch layer on top. You manage to create a type of whitewash- like substance out of gypsum and you use it as a paint to prevent wood from rotting and to make it waterproof.

As a final twist you add copper hinges and install a door. Finally the new granary is built. And it took you about twelve hours. Wow. Yeah, you might want to tone down on labor intensive construction, there have to be better and easier ways to do it. Now to plan the wall...
>Just do log palisade. This should take you half a day. Quick and dirty
>Do some fancy palisade raised on concrete support. It should be sturdier than just logs but it will take you a bit longer
>Do an actual wooden wall. Several meters tall with space to walk on it. Like an actual wooden fort! It will take you over a week to do though but it would be worth it. Wait, who is going to man it again?
>Create a dirt wall. You can create a wooden log support and roll dirt over it to create thick inner wall. Add palisade on top for some extra protection. This will take you a whole day but the wall will be incredibly resistant to damage. These things were used as fortifications against earlier cannons, but it will erode rapidly.
>Fuck it, let's go with stone and concrete. This will take you several weeks of constant effort but it will last for centuries!

You decide to go with some palisade. However, just tree trunks would not be enough. You dig out half a meter deep U shaped trench and fit a row of three meter long logs. After that you fill in the trench with concrete. This should hold the logs in place with concrete "gum" of sorts. This will make the walls less susceptible to erosion and enemies who could try to dig them out instead of breaking through.

This results in a tall and intimidating wooden wall. In addition to the wall you add a waist deep moat and three entrances with wooden bridges. One leading towards the nearby city, one leading to the fields and one leading to the forest as it already had the road.

The entrance leading to the nearby town is built up more than other two which only have the gates. You add two small wooden towers on both sides from the gate. You are not yet sure who would man those but it is the most probable place for the encounters with travelers.

The process takes you quite some time and you are a bit surprised as villagers approach you and give you packed lunch. Apparently you've been working for almost 30 hours straight on the walls and granary and it is once again noon. Strange how you can focus so intently on the task. Previous you would never work so long and hard without breaks for rest and procrastination. However, you are proud with yourself. Village is now secure and villagers are hauling food from the old granary to the new one.

Time to change the project, you got a bit bored with constant woodwork...
> Discuss large scale construction projects with the villagers. Should you remake the whole village or only the houses? Or maybe just patch them up and add a few amenities?
> Time to make something for yourself. You have a lot of copper ore which you can use for tools and weapons. That pile of scrap you have gives you a few new ideas though...
> Hunting time. You want some leather for new clothes and you'll need leather padding if you want to make some armor.

You decide that you should spend some time with the villagers. You can train your language, find out what bothers these people and also you do enjoy human contact. You just see no drawbacks.

Roughly at this time villagers are communally eating their lunch. It seems that some basic lecture about how to cook tasty and healthy meals had some effect as the food no longer tastes like grub. It seems that today we have grouse with what you assume is a type of potato. It seems that potatoes managed to survive across two thousand years, which is not really surprising.

Villagers are a little bit intimidated by your presence still. To be fair you have just been ripping trees out of the ground, processing them on the spot and hauling them with no rest for the whole day. In addition you are the tallest person here, you are almost two inches taller than Oisin, the second tallest person in the village.

After a few minutes it becomes less awkward and villagers start talking more. It seems that they are less worried about the planting. With grain field planted they will have the bare minimum food to last through the winter. This has allowed certain villagers to return to their actual professions outside the field.

It looks like manufacturing of sackcloth out of local fibrous plants has been resumed. Unfortunately all sheep were requisitioned as war tax so there is a limit to available fabric material softness. The villagers have also managed to make a few new wooden bowls, to which you say flipping finally. They were old, permanently stained and cracking. Now it is no longer hideous to look at the plate when you eat.

It seems that villagers are worried about the nearby town. They are scared of both contact and lack of contact. If they re- establish communication they could trade and ask for some manpower. However when the contact is made they fear that the town would attempt to take a large share of their produce as tax. Also they are worried about what could severe the communications. A couple paranoid people suggest that the town was destroyed by a monster, but most think that it could be a minor monster or outlaws blocking the road.
>>
>>2751687
Most villagers seem to be glad for your help. The granary is sturdier than they could ever hope and it was long overdue to build some defenses for the village. When you said palisade they expected something like a high wooden fence though, not what you've built. They feel safer now and offer to help you however they can. You are aware of their limitations though, they can't provide much.

As you observed Cenophilan language in action a revelation struck you. You noticed that it evolved out of English. It is not surprising as a quarter of the world spoke it, but that allowed you to massively improve your understanding of its structure. You now speak almost fluent Cenophilan but with noticeable accent. You can work with this...

You decide that you need some local clothes. If you are going to investigate the nearby town you need to look more like a local and less like a vault dweller slash superhero. You share your concern with the villagers and the tanner informs you that she would be glad to make you an outfit or two.

She proposes to make two outfits, one for adventuring and one for being around in the village. For the former she would need more leather but she has enough to prepare the latter by the end of the day. It would be a light red dress made out of some fabric she had saved up as well as all other necessary stuff such as footwear and underwear. She proceeds to take the measurements.

She has enough material to repair the cloak too. Unfortunately boar hides are too rough to be used for clothing. They are around if you want to use them as shield or as outer coating for armor.

You have about half a day before the clothes are done. Would you like to...

>Investigate the smelter. You want some tools and potentially armor. You also have a few ideas regarding scrap metal you've collected
>Make a bow. Now you can skip crappy flint arrows and go straight for copper!

You decide that this is about time to finally get on with crafting tools. Even sith don't focus only on force choking their enemies. You need some gear. And the best gear you can make is out of copper. It would be nice to have some armor. You can carry more stuff than a normal person so you can go with thicker plating. Maybe a shield and a spear. And also some kind of short range backup weapon like a sword or a mace.

However, all that requires some specialized equipment. You proceed to make a copper anvil and a whole variety of tools required to shape the metal. There is a reason why armorer's hammer is different after all. Forging actual armor would require access to leather padding. As you were forging tools several ideas came to you.

First of all, copper is a really soft metal with low melting point. Armor and weapons made out of pure copper would bend and break easily. You can't yet forge iron and the villagers are out of tin. However, you have a bunch of aluminum. Mixing 10% aluminum and 90% copper results in aluminum bronze alloy. This material is much more corrosion resistant than tin bronze and also has bacteriostatic effect. It was used in ship components such as hull and propeller coatings. You currently have an equivalent of 7 small tools worth of aluminum. 11 if you decide to smelt aluminum wire too. This converts to a pretty huge amount of aluminum bronze, 110 small tools worth of the stuff.

Secondly, pure plaster molds are tedious. It would be nice to create multiple use ceramic molds. Local dirt has large amount of clay so you could potentially make them on the spot. Unfortunately that would require a separate kiln building. You estimate that you will need half a day to construct the building but it is a requirement if you want to mass produce arrowheads and not hang yourself in the process. As a side effect, you will gain access to bricks, ceramic tile roofs and ceramic tableware.

Alloy policy:
> Aluminum is too precious to utilize as an alloy. Your tools would be less potent but material would be saved for the future.
> This alloy is useful but limited. You need to monopolize it for your equipment. You will only craft items intended for you out of aluminum bronze
> This alloy is too limited to waste it. Only non- expendable equipment will be crafted out of aluminum bronze. No bronze arrowheads

After some experimentation you successfully created a few ingots of aluminum bronze. It has a nice golden color to it, you like it. What you like less is how you have to make a mold for each goddamn item you cast. You initially planned to make some arrowheads or darts to throw with telekinesis, but you got too infuriated and decided to fix the issue.

Time to finally make a kiln. You plan out a promising spot and excavate a quarter meter rectangular hole. You completely fill it in with concrete as you decide that it should make it safer. It will include a pottery wheel, some storage for drying clay bricks and two large kilns. This will be glorious.

As you wrap up with initial preparations and the foundation your costume is finally finished and you can't resist to try it on. You definitely look like a villager girl now. A pretty tall and sporty villager girl but all within normal limits. You even have a white shawl to tidy your hair and an optional apron. You are quite pleased with your new look.

As you were trying it on you are interrupted by one of the villagers. Looks like trouble ahead. Villagers have placed one of their older and less physically capable members to watch the gate and they've seen several armed humans observing the village from the forest. Are they bandits? Or maybe scouting patrol from the nearby town? Well, looks like you are going to find out.

If they try to intimidate us, we tell them we don't actually have much food. If they still want to take it, we personally lead them into the granary and take them out there ourselves.

When we come back, we just tell them that they're gorging themselves. Rinse and repeat until they figure they've been duped and we do it the old fashioned way.

You recommend the villagers to prepare for the worst. You shall accompany the village chief and a small welcoming party as insurance while the rest of the villagers seal the other gates and arm themselves. You didn't make any specialized weapons, but farming tools should be better than nothing.

The visitor group consists out of twelve men in various states of equipment. Most are sporting leather or padded cloth armor with few copper or bronze pieces. Regarding weaponry one of them, the most well armored of the bunch, has an iron gladius while the rest sport bronze short swords, bows, wooden bucklers and spears with bronze tips. Something tells you they are not professional military. Especially the smell. Bloody hell guys, less booze and more shower.

Their leader claims that they are an adventuring party investigating the village for not sending messages for almost a year and... tax evasion. They mention the latter as they barge beyond the gate in a way so that villagers won't be able to access it.

Village chief attempts to plead that they have already paid the war mobilization tax three years ago and since then could not get back on their feet. There is barely enough food to last a week and not enough manpower to plow the fields fast enough. Communication was severed because messenger has never returned to the village.

To that the group leader walks up uncomfortably close to Zosime and says that he'll see about that personally. He says that this village definitely didn't have a tall palisade two years ago and thus villagers are eating well. If there is not enough food he will be forced to take the toll in valuables and people. Or he will report this and village would be sold to slavery wholesale for tax evasion crime.

One of the adventurers(or are they bandits?) steps up to you and painfully squeezes your cheeks. Your nose gets overwhelmed by intense smell of cheap alcohol before sensory overload safeguards kick in and you are no longer capable of smelling it. He says that you have quite a pretty face for a villager making an expression worthy of only the creepiest police mugshots.

And this was such a nice evening...

Assuming the walls were there years ago that'd be true but the thing is these walls have rose up in a village with most of it's population off to war and after some heavy taxes.

It implies they've been doing well because if they weren't how would they have found the time?
>>

I guess that a simple inspection would tell them that the trees are very recently cut too, I mean, there's probably green branches everywhere aroud the villages and some still on the wall

Looks like two people want to request for identification while one is pretty bloodthirsty.
Let's make it like that:

They look a little bit too much like bandits, but maybe they are indeed mercs hired by the town to check up on Farsalos. You don't know much about local laws, but slavery due to debt was a thing in some ancient cultures. You need to check the credentials. But first...

With a loud *SLAP* you end merc's disturbing smile. You make it painful but not strong enough to break anything, but it is strong enough to force him to take a step back as to get mocked by some of his allies for being a pussy and getting hurt by a girl. He was about to hit you but peer mocking pressure made him too self- conscious to do so and thus he just stands like an idiot pretending that this didn't happen. Damn that slap felt good.

You decide that these people should not be allowed to pass further into the village before you know if they are outlaws thus you ask them to provide a symbol of office or any other form of identification. This causes a few of mercs to laugh in a mocking manner and their leader replies by telling you that it is a bit too late for that and recommends not to make it harder on yourself.

They are obviously trying to pressure villagers and it seems to be working. They are past the palisade and are much better armed and trained than women and elderly. Chief is stressed trying to explain the palisade through a visiting mage but merc leader is not falling for it. He is correct, it doesn't matter if they have credentials or not. There is no way for the village to resist anyway. Or more accurately there wouldn't be if you weren't around.

>Attempt to subdue them without telekinesis. Your body is superhuman, you are pretty sure that the big guy won't be awake after the first haymaker
>Attack them with intent to drive them off. If you don't use telekinesis you are just a strong human, right?
>Gloves off, time to restrain them with telekinesis
>Kill them, leave none alive. No witnesses- nothing happened
>Other

>>2752375
>Lead them into the granary or some other building far from the eyes of the villagers and where they are few paths to escape and take a hostage.

If they are bandit's, they shall go unmissed. If they are servants of the law, they don't conduct themselves appropriately and failed to display any writ that might grant them any authority.

If anyone ever asks, they were killed by poisoning their food and cutting their throats while they slept.

FYI, this will have a quite predictable effect on the villagers. Are you sure you want to do this
>>
>>2752410
They have seen their kin leave to war, been attacked by monsters and lived in fear a while. I'd suspect they won't react much negatively to killing bandits.
>>
>>2752410
Yeah I mean they're pretty much fucked if they comply with these guys or leave any of them alive at least that's how I see it

Ok then. Writing.

Sorry guys, PC forcefully rebooted. I have to rewrite most of the post. Give me a minute.

Ok, this shall not stand. You decide to drive them off or capture them without revealing the true extent of your powers, but your safety and safety of villagers is paramount. They will all die if they see your powers.

You sigh loudly and proclaim: "You guys are just bandits, aren't you? Here is the last warning. Get the hell out or I can't guarantee your safety". This is met with laughter as several bandits drew their short swords.

You eyeball roughly how much force should knock the closest merc out and open with a haymaker. You move faster than any of them can react and land a strong punch directly into that guy's face knocking him out cold.

Unfortunately, remaining 11 bandits didn't get the memo and scramble for the weapons. Present villagers attempt to flee and you prepare for the hand to hand combat. Another merc is knocked out with a kick to the jaw while their leader is flung over your shoulder and right into his minions.

And then one of them takes Zosime hostage and threatens to cut her throat if you make another move. Adrenaline is pumping through your veins and you almost instinctively react with telekinesis snapping bandit's neck with a sickening crunch. Everyone looks in horror as bandit's neck makes a 180 degree spin and his limp body drops on the floor.

You feel sick. Similar sensation to when you killed the Blight, but much, much worse. You've just killed a human being. You barely contain yourself from getting sick all over the ground but it gives bandits an opening...

Their leader shouts "Kill her before she focuses again!" and one of them takes a shot with the bow. You fail to see the arrow and it hits you directly in the forehead, but instead of penetrating it breaks without leaving a mark. Seeing this bandits lose their confidence and attempt to run, but you can't allow that.

Village gate closes violently sending the most eager bandit flying as you tell them that they are not going to leave this place alive. Bandits try to fight for their lives, but they are no match to you. Especially as you don't handicap yourself. Within less than ten minutes all bandits lie dead. What have you done...

>Contemplate. You have crossed the line here
>Plan. These bandits probably were not the entire camp, you can expect another raid
>Check up on villagers. Is village chief alright?

Maybe get the men to prepare the dead bandits for burial? Might as well give them something for their trouble.

What is done is done. You can't undo what has just happened, you will have to live with it. As you look around you see that the villagers which were in the welcoming party are staring at this carnage shocked. Zosime, however, is unconscious.

You run up to check on her. She is still breathing, luckily. You pick her up and carry her home. She fainted from stress. She should be better once she gets some rest.

You propose to bury the bandits. Villagers agree and you help them to strip all the dead bandits off their equipment and dig out the holes for them. Villagers are a bit vary of you. They explain that even though these were bandits and they should be executed by Cenophilan law the people are still frightened by what you can do to a human body.

There is one still living bandit though. You decide to interrogate him, but he will be out for quite a while so you strip him off his weapons and tie him up in the cellar of the granary. This day could have gone better. You need some time to think about what has happened.

Gameplan suggestion for next thread:
>1. Interrogate bandit and sell him to larger town so we can help village economy.

>2. Forge as much armor as we can wear, our not!vaultsuit doesn't protect much from monsters and appearing to be resistant to weapons without armor is alarming to foes.

>3. Water drainging ditches and wooden sewer channels in town for better overflow drain from fields and improved hygiene in village.

>4. Prepare as much food and wares we can for eventual tax when contacting bigger town, poking around and asking for tax amount when we eventually reach town to avoid greedy collectors taking more than we can afford.

>5. Asking around town when possible to ensure we got their baseline needs fixed until we get fresh workforce from nearby areas/or we go to check the cause for road block.
