One of the interesting aspects of Garnet's design is how you can see which of her halves is dominant in some of her actions through the colored tints shifting on her shades. Got a couple of critiques. Not sure if it bothers anyone else but your capitalization is all over the place, most notably in dialogue. I'd already recommended trying some of the text formatting options, such as a different color for certain gems or what have you, and using bold and italics can give lines a little more oomph when reading.

On more of a discussion note, what do you think our fusions personalities will be? I'm curious if ours with Amethyst would have similar control issues to Sugilite. From how things look we won't fuse with Pearl anytime soon. Garnet might just be a larger more impulsive Garnet if how Ruby's fusing with each other seems to work.

All of you are walking back to the temple after what ended up being a very eventful mission. Especially for your first one! Despite that though, you can't help but think back to that mirror that the gems were looking for. They said that it was a relic that allowed Homeworld to gain info during the war but you don't see how.

It was just a vanity item things that gems used to look at themselves, as if they would ever need to change anyway. Gems that actually used mirrors usually never got into fights. Which meant they would never have to reform to begin with.

However, your mind keeps going back to that lapis lazuli gem that was stored inside the mirror. Maybe you should get another look just to be sure?

Probably some kind of understated and utilitarian long-sleeved uniform, maybe with some kind of helmet and visor. Like some cross between a Starfleet uniform and a fighter pilot’s jacket.

It’d be something that the CGs might not recognize since they were out of the loop for so long. If we’re still going with the idea that the protagonist Ruby is some kind of SpecOps agent amongst her kind, it might be akin to how Char Aznable stood out amongst the rank-and-file in the Gundam series. Any other Homeworld gem might do a spit-take when they first set eyes on our Ruby, or even have some kind of nickname or special designation that our Ruby didn’t disclose because it didn’t seem important at the time.

You stop and consider Steven's statement for a moment. While it seems kind of dense at first, Steven actually makes a good point. This mirror was in that temple for who knows how long and the gem that's been imprisoned probably hasn't seen anything other than that temple and the home

Steven jumps up and runs out with mirror in hand. You and him walk across the beach until you begin to near 'The Big Donut' the residence of two other humans.

S: Hey Lars! Hi Sadie!

Aside from being a tough customer in our own regard, we are with Steven who has mainly defensive abilities.

You see the vehicle suddenly travel directly at you at Steven. In an attempt to try and save Steven you run in front of him and hold your hands to stop the vehicle in its tracks.

You and Steven head down to the beach with the mirror in tow, stopping near where Mayor Dewey is giving his speech.

You put your hand to you mouth similar to Steven and the mirror imitating him.

You, Steven and the Mirror continue to make this noise in between different parts of the man's speech which slowly causes the crowd to burst into laughter.

You and Steven quickly abscond from the scene with the mirror in tow laughing all the way. Eventually you and Steven find yourselves sitting on the beach laughing an talking with the mirror.

S: Okay I got another one! Hey Mirror, do you like me?

???: I-Like-you!

S: Yay, hey mirror do you like Ruby?

You look at the mirror once again as Steven points it to you and it changes its image

???: I-like-Ruby!

You perk up at the comment and blush slightly

You simply smile as Steven continues to talk to the mirror, when it suddenly dawns on you. The entire reason you tried to talk to this mirror was because of the Lapis Lazuli gem trapped inside! you had been having so much fun you nearly forgot!

I could see it as Ruby seemingly being naive, and being naive to an extant, but also has really good instinct that she just goes by instantly over anything else, even wanting to gain trust from her new superiors. She'd need to be pretty gutsy/impulsive to jack a ship and desert from everything she's ever known.

Steven says nothing with a conflicted look on his face. You can't blame him, he's known for a lot longer than you have. Even though you've forgiven them for the misunderstanding you don't think the gem inside the mirror will.

Eventually Steven sighs

S: Okay, but how are we gonna get her out?

???: Get!-Me!-Out!

Suddenly as if trying to get your attention the gem suddenly begins to shift, within it a swirling vortex of clouds. There you see a vision of two figures that look like you and Steven pulling the gem from out of the mirror.

You and Steven look to each other and nod.

You both flip the mirror and stare down at the gem in the center.

You and Steven simply nod, grabbing onto the gem in the back of the mirror you and Steven pulled as hard as you could. You grabbed at the gem with all your strength, knowing that it would eventually come out if you just...

Then with a pop! The gem was freed from the mirror and it proceeded to shatter into pieces!

The gem flew from yours and Steven's hand and slowly began to form.

Then, right in front of you you see a Lapis Lazuli, one of the high class terraformers of Blue Diamond's court with a cracked gem in her back slowly fall to the ground.

You and Steven run up to her and grab her by her arms to help her out. On her face where there would be eyes are two mirror like surfaces.

L: Thank you... You two didn't—You actually talked to me. You helped me!

You and Steven look on dumbfounded

L: It's Steven and Ruby, right? I'm Lapis... Lapis Lazuli.

L: Are you two really Crystal Gems?

Okay guys quick update! I'm gonna be celebrating a birthday today so there probbaly won't be a Thread!

But I don't want to leave with nothing so here is a rough concept drawing I did of what our Ruby potentially looks like! I may have messed up the Ruby position though just as a warning.

I tried to incoorporate several things suggessted in thread, like a visor, round afro and a sort of more upper class design with poofy pants and a button up shirt

I also added the diamond insignia and an armband that says 10-C since one of the rarest and most valuable rubies is a 10-Carat blood ruby
