Chapter 2: Homecoming

Slumber does not give even a slightest respite.

The nightmare creeps every twilight.

Turning. Tossing. Trashing. Tumbling.

Your sanity is crumbling.

The same dream. The same teeth. The same drool.

Your mother. Your sister. Your soul.

TURNING. TOSSING. TRASHING. TUMBLING.

Not even a speck of mercy nor painless death.

The Dog kept barking, taunting, cheering, and chewing.

NOT EVEN A SWIFT EXECUTION.

The abuse of innocent soul stretches than it should, ended with your sister's head in the her favorite dollhouse.

Then it turns its head towards you, grim eyes crackling with rich crimson. Then it stood upright, walking as if it is a human. No human is cruel enough to harm an innocent soul.

THE DOG

THE MAD DOG OWN YOUR BODY, YOUR MIND, AND YOUR SOUL.

---

At the break of dawn, you woke up with the usual shivers and drenched clothes. Ever since you stepped into the asylum, the nightmare became more lucid and you can still feel the pain on your chest as the dog carved his name with his razor teeth.

As you perform your daily morning ritual, you let idle thoughts corrupt your mind.

Last month, you just graduated from Gotham U and landed a job in HomeSweet as a Psychologist. Then it became a rollercoaster of danger and disaster as you found out that HomeSweet is a front for Scarecrow's cult and you are a direct heir of Arkham Family, forcing you to inherit Arkham Island and Arkham Asylum. It was going well until a former intern assaulted the building with her gang. It cost you both legs to 'peacefully' subdue them.

Now that you are fresh, it's time for the unsavory check-up routine.

---

"No pus or infection. Slight inflammation and stitches are hold-"

"OW!" You grit your teeth as the chief doctor poked your poor legs.

"Oh you crybaby. It was only a small poke," Dr. Dumbell huffs while Nurse Samantha let out a sweet giggle. Then he pokes it again.

"Damn it, Doc! I will dock your paycheck if you do that again!" and the chief doctor just rolled his eyes.

He picked up a fresh roll of bandage," Just few more days and you will be fit as a fiddle. Nurse, if you would be so kind to help me?"

The nurse put on a coy smile," Certainly, doctor." Now you have to put a bravado in front of her and they both knew it, wrapping your legs extra tight.

After the torture called check-up, Nurse Samantha slowly escorts you out of the room," Oh stop pouting, Dr. Arkham. Dr. Dumbell is just having a bit of fun."

You did not answer and she sighs," You remind me so much of my brother Jimmy, always pouting. So, any place to cheer you up before the opening ceremony?"

The 'official' opening ceremony of the new Arkham Asylum. After the Harley debacle, the mayor insisted that you have an opening ceremony and 'share' the burden of the city. There will be a lot of patients coming in now and you must be ready but for now, the calm before the storm.

"I wish to take a nap before the circus started. God knows I need more rest," you sigh, trying to put aside the future headache of this place.

"Certainly, I know just the place," The nurse smiles while dragging you inside the building. Passing another dim corridor, silent elevator, and cracked walls, the two of you arrived in front of a wooden door with a damaged plaque: Str-

Str? Probably a storage room or something.

Inside is a bit dusty but tidy as if this was someone's old office. Wooden shelves with intact books and a brown, solid table. There is already a sofa for patients and chair next to it. The views were directed towards Gotham City and you can hear the gentle waves crashing against this island.

A serene room, probably for therapy or an office. Judging by the damaged shining awards on his desk, the man have a huge ego.

The nurse gently placed you on the sofa while she positioned herself next to your head.
"Nurse Samantha, what are you doing?" You asked her curious behavior.

A confused expression painted her face," Taking care of you, Dr. Arkham." And without warning, she lifts your head gently and placed it on her lap. The sweet odor tickles your nose while the warm, soothing flesh clams your soul.

This disturbs you," Nurse, what are you doing? This is highly inappropriate! I mean I am your employer and you are my employee! Fraterni-"

Suddenly, she taps your temple with her knuckle," Hush. You're taking this too seriously. I used to do this with my brothers when they are sick and worried."

Rubbing your temple, you made another point," But we are not related. This is-"

Another hit on the temple and this time with more power ,"ow!"

The nurse still have her sweet smile," Doctor, please. Don't fret like children. You need to get more rest.

Finally, you comply with warmth on your cheek and suppressed embarrassment. She quietly hums an old tune, a lullaby.
A pang of pain and nostalgia in your mind as your consciousness slipped away.
---
Something different happened.
Instead of nightmare, you are lucid and alert.
In front of you are doors with different shade of colors and sizes. All of them have a strange pull to them, as if seducing you to enter.

Resist. Idle. Cautious.

Even as the pull tightened, your mind became of stone. The alluring doors began its whispers but you turn your head away and into the darkness, traversing the void with clear mind.

The travel felt like eons yet it ended in seconds. Like any other dark road, the exit is a bright hole and without any reservation, you enter the hole.

Like baptism by water, you felt fresh and new. All the latching grime of weariness and paranoia gone in a single ascension.

You are Sebastian Arkham, heir to the Arkham family. Through trial and tribulation, you will survive! Through blood and sweat, you will persevere.

You are no puppet.

You are an Arkham!

Week 1

And you woke up feeling refreshed, as if you have just slept after a century of insomnia. Nurse Samantha kept stroking your hair, fiddling it while reading a book about 'Notes on Nursing' (1859). It's an unfamiliar touch and kindness, causing your heart to beat faster and hidden by the crashing of waves.

You are not ready for this nor the experience to deal with this situation.

As your mind went blank, the nurse glances at you and put her usual sunny smile," Oh? Are you awake?" This motherly affection is going to smother you sooner or later.

" Yes. Thank you, Nurse Samantha," you quickly answer with a professional tone," While your help is appreciated, I must know I am older than you." maybe...

The nerve! She put on an unimpressed face.

" Now, now, mister. I am 20 years old, same as you. As Ma always said' Boys be boys, no matter how big." She began her lecture while gently lifting you to the wheelchair.

You quickly interrupt her," 22 years old."

And she quickly snaps back," Not too far, Ah-ehem- I reckoned. Now let this be the secret between us, yes?"

You slowly nod. This girl is much more mature and domineering that you felt like her young, sunny smile is just a mask.

You can hear people gathering now, especially with cars creating noises in front of the asylum. Without further ado, You and Nurse Samantha began the journey back to the courtyard.

Once you've reached the courtyard, people began to converge around you with reporters on their trails.

"Look at these masses, so hungry for the illusions that covered their misery," Your dad whispers.

Few people with wealthy air and jewelries began to congratulate with passive emotion. It seems that they want to leave as soon as possible and that is understandable. This is not a place for soliciting anyways.

Bruce Wayne, the man with a slick black hair and flattering smile, flirted with Nurse Samantha and gave you a check of 5 million dollars as a donation to the asylum. Making a fake smile for the press is harder than it looks, especially looking like a cripple.

>Donation: 5 cash.

"I feel like he is hiding something and I can feel my fear creeping below me," he made other remarks.

Mayor Sebastian Hady took a photo with you and put on the usual speech about freedom and how 'criminals' are destroying the city. Then he spoke to you about how he already signed the papers for the transfer of patients from Blackgate to this asylum. You were not
given a chance to refuse as he quickly leave to the hungry reporter.

"Good. We can start eary," Dad is really happy about this while you are pissed.

>Patients will be transferred this week.

Old Joe handles the opening ceremony while you sat next to him.

>+1 rep (-7 reputation)

Once the celebration is done, people began their journey back home and Old Joe quickly handles the reporters while you dragged yourself to the meeting room. There are a lot of argument but quickly silenced as you entered the room. Then Old Joe enters and take his place beside Cpt. Cash.

(standby for this month's report)
>>
>>2732010

The meeting started with Cash and his colorful language," This fucking Mayor! We should've voted for his fucking opponent!"

"Calm down,Cpt. Cash. What's the matter?" You tried to stay cool.

The chief of security looks aghast," calm- YOU AIN'T GONNA CALM DOWN UNTIL YOU SEE THIS SHIT!" And he threw the papers in front of you and you read it.

Oh. Dear. God. All the cells are fully booked!

-2 sanity due to stress (8/10)

> 4 low level patients (2 cash)

> 29 medium patients (29 cash)

>4 high level patients( Clayface, Harley, Anchoress, and Deadshot?!) (12 cash)

>Extra donation from the Mayor: 1 cash

>Total cash from new patients ( 44 cash).

-Variable cost (food, equipment, drugs): -4.5 (total patient:46. 10 from low and 30 from medium, 6 Max)

Total Upkeep: (-7.5)

Captain Cash continues," and we need more security!"

"More staff you mean," Dr. Dumbell grumbles.

"And doctors," Dr. Sinner chimes in.

>New demand for staff: 10 med security, 5 Max security. 4 Psychiatrists, 10 Orderlies, 6 Doctors.

The main problem with having all those supervillains here is that they won´t be able to kill off that pathetic excuse of a major we have.

Okay, questions:

>Deadshot: This is not his place. Any chances we can take this to court or perhaps get something else out of the major?

>Money. Okay, hear me out. What about we go to the bank and ask them for a lend on all the money the city owns us? We get the money straight away and the major wouldn´t dare not to pay Gotham city bank. Besides, if this people escape Arkham, the bank would be their first objetive.

More money: What about fundraising? We could leak to the press how fucking overcrowded we are and bank on that fear to raise the money we need. Sorry if this sounds machiavelic, but if these people escape the city would be in chaos.
>>
>I'll give 5 staff/purchase
Seeing as we need another 35 essential staff (security, psych, doctors, etc) that means we must purchase 7 units of staff. Even using the cheapest staff, this expenditure equals 14 units of cash or 66% of our current funds but that fact is rendered pointless by the arrival of so many new patients.

>please make more room for another 50 prisoners!
This breaks our budget. Even at the cheapest possible way to contain them, expanding on the current low and medium density buildings, it would cost 20 cash to create an additional 50 cells. Leaving us near bankrupt with a single unit of cash.

Luckily, we are to receive 33 more units of cash in the coming months. Enough to afford paying for the additional staff and either having a comfortable surplus to dedicate to other projects or to get employees of a better quality.

Short term? We've got to construct the additional cells because those patients are coming not matter if we're ready or not.
>>
>>2732111
Also, might a sworfish fellate our dear major.
>>
>>2732114

>a sworfish fellate

I am also ESM. To fellate is to suck another person´s genitals, as a way to pleasure them.

A swordfish (I wrote it wrong) is a kind of fish that has a very long and pointy nose. To be fellated but one of them, must be very painful.

It is just a made up curse to the major. Nobody actually uses this.
>>
>>2732121
Rather do it later. This is going to be hard enough as it is. Let´s focus on this.
>>
>>2732121

Ideally, not really. just make sure there is no cracks for him to escape.

>>
>>2732135
Yeah, mayor
>>
>>2732135
To be fair, I believe we, with the help of Scarecrow-Sensei, will be able to a pretty good job of fearmongering for a good cause. Added that to the bank and we should have all the money we need.

Also, I believe we should begin construction of:
Level 2 Infirmary, special contaiment and extreme isolation.

Level 2 infirmary because brawls are going to happen whether we want it or not. Extreme isolation because Joker will strike and is agitated by we capturing his waifu. Special contianment because clayface is easily sated and I would rather just have another problem crossed out in my list.

>And the mayor left a note: please make more room for another 50 prisoners!

We have 21 cash total right now, after upkeep.

My personal opinion on what to do is:
>Expand low level cells from 10 to 20 = -4 cash
>Expand med level cells from 30 to 40 = -4 cash
This leaves us with 20 extra room overall. Priority should be to get the 10 people in low level cleared out and done, leaving us with 30 empty. Next priority should be to work on medium level patients to get some room freed up. I think telling the mayor "fuck off we're full" should buy us some time to get people dealt with and able to get the room for the FIFTY he wants, because that sort of demand is absolutely BULLSHIT the way things stand.

Next up:
>Improve Staff facility to level 3 = -4 cash
We can't hire new people if we don't have the room for them, and if our staff housing facility is shit the way it is right now. That said...
>Recruit cheap staff = -2 cash
They might not be trained much if at all, but they need to git gud for their sake.

This leaves...
>Hire Head of Research = -6 cash
We need to improve our shit soon, and this will go towards that. I think Mileena Lilly is the one to go with here, because the quicker we give people therapy and help patients recover, the sooner we can kick them out of Arkham and make room for more people who desperately need help.

This leaves us with... 1 cash leftover.
Assuming that the -7.5 cash upkeep cost is monthly and not weekly, we should be okay by the start of next month due to the 11 cash gain from the city. If not, we might be fucked unless someone else has a better idea.

Patients we need to prioritize:
>Low Level
Easiest to help out, plus we know 6 of them from HomeSweet Medical.
>Medium Level
The bulk of the work we have cut out for us. This should absolutely be priority for us right now because we need room and we need it fast without losing money and fucking up.
>Deadshot
What the absolute FUCK is fucking DEADSHOT of all people doing here? I'm not familiar with DC too much, but isn't he some kind of assassin-for-hire? Does he have any issues we can deal with and help, or at least get him someplace else that isn't our Arkham?
>One of the other villains?
Again, don't know much about DC but maybe other voters/anons might have ideas here as to what the fuck to remedy with the villains.

I support this preeliminary spending plan, but we need to go to the bank and see if they play ball. Once we get all the money we need, taking care of this aslum should be a child´s play.

I support trying to get the bank to pay out the rest of the money the mayor owes us. That way he can't try to short change them, cause being a bank in fucking Gotham probably kills your tolerance for bullshit.

And as for Deadshot, if we can't get him into Blackgate, then we should try to rehabilitate him. He has a daughter that he really cares about, right? After we learn about that, we should fill up his cell wall with photos of the children of the people he killed. That way we can break him down and then build him back up to be more empathetic.
>>
>>2733870
And the photos should be on the outside of the see-through door facing him so he can't tear them down.

After a lot of debating and planning, all of you finally agreed on this month's plan. While it is not the best plan, it is a start to say the least.

>This month's planning
- Explanding low and mid cells (to 20 and 30 cells respectively)
- Improve staff facility (to lvl 3)
- hire 1 batch of cheap staff.
- hire the head of research.
- Prioritize on cleaning the low level first.

The next day was a riot as half a dozen of black bus appeared on the horizon. While the Blackgate Guards tries to discipline the line with their savage strength, the intern and your guards are trying their best to keep the patients in order. Few tried to escape but beating helped.

Who says beating does not teach people lessons?

You began checking Deadshot's profile on the way to Max security cells. The corridors slowly became dim red while the pungent smell of stale air envelopped your nose.

>Floyd Lawton
> Occupation: Assassin for hire
> Reason for transfer: PTSD and disregard for self-preservation.

"..." And that's all they wrote for him. You better hope he have PTSD or else a blood vessel will pop.

Dad quickly calm you down," Patience son, we are about to enter the despicable lair of sickness."

As the metal door opens, thousands of voices crashed into your head.

So lonely... Why is no one here to see me?

I am sure he will come and rescue me...he loves me...he loves me not...

"ENOUGH! LEAVE YOU SCOURGE OF GOTHAM! LEAVE FROM MY BOY AND SUFFER IN THIS PIT OF HELL!" And you dad's scream quickly shattered the assault while the max prison slowly became silent. The guards escorting you became concern of the silence but you and Nurse Sam have jobs to do.

"Look at those poor dears," the nurse gaze on the villains with concern," I wish we can help them."

"We will. Try not to end up like our former intern. I hate to lose you, Nurse Samantha," the professional tone is the only barrier between you and her but it's for the best.

The nurse put on a sly smile and whispers," Don't worry, Dr. Arkham. You are still my favorite patient." Then she playfully touch your cheek as if there is something there.

"Focus boy. Bonds are the path to tragedy. Stell yourself," You dad whispers.

Finally, the prison cell to the infamouse Deadshot and the guard announce your presence," Floyd, the doc is here to see you!"

"Well, get him out of here!" The assassin huffs while turning towards you. A long haired african american with a strong jaw and deep voice," Well damn, you didn't say anything about the hottie."

"While I appreciate the compliment, I'm afraid I'm straight," you said with a poker face. It took them seconds to recover and laugh, even the guards.

"Smartass," Floyd threw his pillow at you but quickly blocked by the guard," I guess you wanna poke my head yeah?" You nod and he began answering your question.

When he began to talk, you listen and study his movement at the same time. It's controlled and precise, as if trained everyday. His eye movement kept scanning the surrounding, hidden by the movement of his head. So everyday he kept planning and waiting for the right moment.

From his story, there are regret and anger about the word family. It seems a tragedy have befallen to him at young age and there are sign of child abuse but hidden by being a hard person. There are talk of dying in a battle but soon that desire softens with the word family.

This man is a family man yet his job forced him to discard that bon in order to protect them. From your understanding, assassination is his best skill and pride and probably will not drop it.

>Deadshot profile 100% complete.

"How does staying withh your family feels?"

Floyd sighs and rub his face, hiding his sadness," Doc, did you not listen? I have no family, just some bitchy ex wife and her dumbass kid." Pretty sure he's trying to protect them.

Two or three times a week, his family can come visit him while he's here, on top of the pictures of children of people he's killed being put on the see-through barrier for him to be constantly reminded.
He can put his skills as an assassin to good use once he gets out, by giving people self-defense and counter-espionage classes, as redemption/constructive work that doesn't involve killing people or getting others to kill.

>What does this mean? What's keeping him from returning to his family?

House arrest and the law/thugs is keeping him ffrom returning to his family. If you can make a plan to make him stay safe with his family, it will be a success in my book.

>If we release him do we release him as is, or we plan on releasing him soon?

Since he is sane, you can release him with report of him being sane.

You can but it will be dangerous for the family since there is no safe place to visit unless you transferred him to low security cell. But that have their own dangers too.

Would some kind of work release program be feasible? First menial tasks and he stays in max sec and as soon as possible we transfer him to min sec and guard duty with leave to see his family.
After I dunno 2 or 3 months we declare him 'sane' and he can either leave with papers declaring him sane and qualified to work in the security sector or stay on as a guard.

But he'd basically be on the honor system - I'm pretty sure he could escape min sec if he wanted to- to say nothing about leave.

Using the villains for menial tasks is so funny that it might actually be feasible later in treatment for them to learn how to use their talents or abilities, without utterly fucking over people or killing them. Giving Scarecrow a typewriter for horror stories, then eventually a film camera like what other people talked about in thread 1, is a legitimate thing we could do for example.

For the max patients.. they are difficult and might be costly since their treatment is more personalized than general. Let's see if we can develop your current building and cells."

I remember someone in /qst/ talked about possible things to do, like >>2718421 and >>2718439. Having Mileena to research current academic research on psychology, as well as recent papers and stuff from outside Gotham City would be a big step forward in general.

I guess the two core problems right now are to calm the mid level patients and a mental recovery building. Low and max level patients are ones we can personally deal with and see off at the moment.

I was thinking using the five senses to help cure people would be one possible way, specifically through sounds, sights, smells. Soothing sounds could be researched, but one that's super obvious is the ocean - because we're on a fucking island and the ocean is everywhere.
In regards to sights and smells (which can also be researched), we could use the asylum gardens and grounds for aromatherapy and pleasing visual stimuli once we have the cash for it - and Poison Ivy can help a lot with this once we actually start to work on helping her.

To currently deal with mid level patients, we need some guidelines to figure out what each person needs or what their problems are. Cognitive therapy is a superweapon at our disposal, because most people in life have problems due to some idea they have in their heads, or a way of thinking that's wrong. Providing reasonable options and alternatives that people wouldn't consider due to their conditions, and biases, and circular reasoning preventing them from working stuff out would also be a big thing - again, an example of this would be turning Scarecrow into a horror movie producer or writer because he wants to see people's fear; i.e. the "cutting Lex Luthor a check" method.

Max level patients are for us and us alone to cure. From what I can tell, Clayface has body image and self issues, Anchoress has crippling loneliness and abandonment issues, Harley has an abusive relationship with Joker as well as potential white knight rescue fantasies, not sure what Ivy's deal is, and Scarecrow has childhood issues deeply rooted in fear and related concepts.

Thankfully, patients injuries are light but being understaffed means a lot of the doctors are spending here overnight. The new upgraded staff faculty stave off their disgrunte, especially with the kitchen and the beds.

Thankfully Old Joe brings the cavalry, pulling favors and letting the new intern fill in the empty spots while letting the new cheap hires handle most of the

The bank!

You need money more than ever now and taking a loan will surely help you in dealing with this growing problem.

> Advisor interrupts.

" Hold. Wait. Come and see," the chilling voice tickles the very core of your soul," A prey is on the loose. He who hunts his own brothers. Stop and hunt! Gather your allies and hunt! Your weakened body will do us no good."

The voice. It demands. It hu-

"Guh!" It took you half of your willpower to stopped him from overwhelming your mind.

The nurse touches your head with a hint of concern," Are you alright, Dr. Arkham?"

"Y-yes, Nurse Samantha. Just a sudden...headache," The grip of pain slowly loosened as the voice vanished into darkness.

The nurse huffs and change the direction," That will not do. We will take a painkiller from the medical room and be on our way. I don't want you to faint when we are in the bank."

She have a point.

At the medical room, you saw Dr. Dumbell finished suturing a guard's wound and greets you with a tired smile," Ah Dr. Arkham! Are you here for another check-up?"

The nurse already left to search for a painkiller," Just a slight headache, is all. And Nurse Samantha persuade me to bring some painkillers."

"She always is a worrywart," The doctor laughs and you join in.

"I can hear you boys," A voice from the corner of the room made both of you silent.

"What happened to him?" You look at the guard being bandaged by other nurse.

The dorcto waves off your worries," Ah him? Don't mind him. He says a patient accidentally cuts him while they are eating their meal. Just the usual silly patients."

You look at the young guard and he's having a cold sweat and a trickle of fear? Probably the needles.

After a few minutes of chatting, Nurse Samantha appeared with a bottle of pills," I hope you can dry swallow?" She pull two pills and put the bottle in her bag. Dry swallowing is not a great experience, especially with the bitter aftertaste.

Why have we chose Batman to help us negotiate a bank loan? What is the logic behind this?

We need the bank loan and we need it fast to help get the people we need in here. Scarecrow would have help us, better.

The killer is the police problem, no ours. Let´s try to negotiate with the voice, asking it to calm its instincts. We shall hunt, better prepared, next week, where we cna be of help IF it helps us get this oan.
>>
>>2736701
Batman is logical. Math is logical. Therefore Batman is good for money stuff.

Let's reason with the voice that if we can't comfortably hold our current patients then going hunting for more (even worse, in a wheelchair) will bring more trouble. We gotta get the money to upgrade medical at least.

This is also good. Plays to his anxiety for the hunt. But we really should try to get the guard and meet with Cash. Also, cancel the appointment with the bank. Tell them we have an emergency.

I like this idea. If we're not gonna go to the bank right now, then we might as well go prep together with everyone about the hunter. Batman voice can advise us in defenses and tactics

Ok guys, what do we know about all this
1. The killer hunts his own brothers (fellow madmen? fellow employees, possibly same section (security, research...etc.)?)
2.The guard is possibly the killer or, more probable, marked by the killer.
3. The patient. He is the killer, or perhaps someone influenced by him.
4.Redundant. The killer marks his target.
5. Hiding among sheep. Further reinforcement of the patient involvement

This depends, of course, on whether we trust the beast or not.

Also You might have wanted to keep whether there is a killer or not in the dark, to make us question if this was all part of the voices paranoia
>>
>>2737068

I tried but you have to take Cold Beast as an advisor today. Call it a lucky coincidence
>>

You know what, I'll keep it in mind for the future chapters. Thanks for the idea dude

>monster's claw marks the victim

>the trail is fresh

>nature of the monster can be seen by what it has done to its prey
Is it Killer Croc?
>>
>>2737068
Now for the plan.

1.Tell Samantha to call off the appointment. Talk to the doctor, say that an emergency has spawned that needs our inmediate attention and could disastrously devolve if it is not addresed. (hopefully that would help his fear of inmate´s escaping)
2.Get the guard and call Cash and Old Joe. Put the guard in an interrogation room and tell them we have an emergency. Explain the situation. Brush off our voices as instincts.
3. Talk to the guard after being counseled by them or let them interogate him. Let´s see what info we have and formulate a plan based on that.

4.Check the tapes to see if the guard´s testimony checks up. Paranoia has only helped us.
>>
>>2737118
Anything else you might want to add fellow gentlemen?
>>
>>2737153
Honestly as long as we keep the plan simple enough to follow then we can keep the stuff that can go wrong to a minimum.
Other than that I'm good with it so far.
>>
Well if we're gonna hunt for a serial killer then we need someone who's an expert on it. Call Gordon and get in contact with Batman.

Hell, as the depository of Gotham's villains we should have him at the top of our speed dial.
>>
>>2737118
>>2737299
Caling Gordon should be something we could do, but let´s try to resolve this on our own. We are talking about a regular killer.
>>
>>2737305
We could at least leave Batman a note. And if he gives us shit for hunting down a killer because a voice in our head told us to, tell him this:
"Well you did put a dude with voices in his head in charge of a mental institution used to hold super villains cause his dad and grandpa did it, so you have no room to complain when I do crazy shit."
>>
>>2737375
Well, I suppose we could tell them about us being suspicious there is a killer on the loose, but I would rather contact them when we have need of forensic or anything to determine who dun it.

If he is in Arkham Asylum, then things will be in deep shit later on," Burse Samantha, please cancel today's appointment and Doc, I need you to call the guards, Old Joe, and Cpt. Cash."

"Is this one of your gut feelings again?" He asks with a strange energized tone.

"Yes...?"

"Say no more," And he quickly dial his phone while you approached the wounded guard.

"D-Dr. Arkham, sir!" He tried to salute but winches in pain. Nurse Sam quickly pull out the painkiller and gave him a couple of pills.

Why are the guards so green and young?

" The warden. The guards. The monsters. Preserve balance and everything became predictable" The cold voice advices but why always so god damn cryptic!

" Tell me, what happened to your hand?" You ask, careful not to scare him.

The guard puts on the worst smile one can possibly conjure, os much that it seems he is in pain rather than joy," Ah it's nothin. Some nuts got the butterfinger and cuts me with her knife. I just hate needles."

The cold beast chimes in," There. A trail. A claw."

" So you're saying the low level patients uses metal utensils?" You continues.

The guard shrugs," Yeah, why not. It's cheaper than buying them plastics. I mean, they are still sane yeah?"

"What about the mid levels?"

"They only get rubber spoons, like them kids used to have," He laughs.

The conversation was cut by the arrival of Cpt. Cash and Old Joe. Cash approaches you," What seems to be the problem now, Director?"

"Gut feeling. I think someone dangerous is on the loose," The two former cops looks at each other and shurg.

Old Joe pats you shoulder," I can trust that. Those insticts usually saves my ass a lot."

"So, what's the plan, director? I can tighten the security and find this son of a bitch," Cash cracks his knuckles.

"Stay. Wait.See. Analyze, Adapt, Overcome. Take this time for a trap. The prey moves slowly."

Why don´t we ask the guard for the inmate that injured him? There are only four new ones in the low level group.

Either it is the one who injured him or we are dealing with a subtle behind the scenes manipulation.

Either way, I support using the guard as a bait for the killer to reveal his true colors. Although I would rather first psychoanalize who marked him to make sure who we are dealing with. See if there are any obvious tells.

Also, check the damm tapes. We cannot afford not to be paranoid here.

" So who injured you, my good man?"

It took him a while to answer, especially with the stares of the former cops," I-It was Coraline Jones, The new chick. S-she didn't mean it, I swear!"

You shrug and let scurry away from the medical room," Keep an eye on him and would you kindly show me today's tapes?"

"Alright," Cash nods and orders the guards to keep an eye on officer George while the rest went to the security room.

Four profile laid before you as you scan the camera.

> Coraline Jones. Patient 31
> Female
> Transferred from blackgate
> Suffer PTSD and claustrophobia

> Ivan Vancovic. Patient 34
> Male
> Transferred from blackgate
> Suffer self harm and mild autism

> Rocky Dunham Patient 40
> Male
> Transferred from blackgate
> Suffer mild agression

>Lina Trudy
> Female
> Transferred from blackgate
> Suffer from maladaptive daydreaming.

These are...these are mostly mid level patients! Why in the world are they categorized as low level patients?

Coraline: From the camera feed, it seems she talk with officer Gregory and boy... they sit closer than appropriate. The guard slowly lead them to an empty room with no camera.

Ivan: He just stare blankly at on of the nurse while scratching his left arm. You can see some of his scars but it is difficult to see from the camera.

Rocky: He struggles with his handcuffs while eating his meal. He kept shouting something to the guard next to him before he tried to brawl with the guards. Orderlies quickly sedate him.

Line: She just stare at the window while one of the nurse tried to feed her then began dancing as if she is from the a show. She then hold her spoon like a microphone and cause disturbance.

" The monster found its mark. Thread carefully. It hides on plain sight."

>You last move before week 3?
>>
>>2738997
I mean it certainly wouldn't be wrong to actually sort mid level patients into mid sec... .
As for our killer/ monster I'm guessing the guard did it.
Only one of our psychos is diagnosed as aggressive (and mild at that) and starting a brawl and getting sedated is hardly "hiding in plain sight". Furthermore the guard is extemly shady/his story doesn't hold up -at the very least he is 'fraternizing' with the patients. I expect Ms. Jones to be dead/dying or disappeared from the room. (There may be a small chance she is our monster instead).

fater discussing the plans, Joe went to get Dr. Sinner while you and Cpt. Cash call the suspected guards. As you passed through the recreation room to get Nurse Rose, the Beast suddenly meld itself with your conciousness," Listen, hunter. Listen to their tracks. Listen to their screams. There lies the beast."

Then the world went black as your head split into two,"GAAAAAAHHHH!"

>-5 sanity (5/10)

> Criminal Empathy boosted->Hunter's Instinct Activated

----

Oh no..Oh no...The walls are closing again...shit shit shit

---

I am not CRAZY! I KILL YOU! I AM NOT CRAZY!

---

One tally, two tally, three tally...One more tally...

---
Dance...and two three four. We are going to win this contest...

---

Is he...convulsing again? God damn place and damn that green freak

---

Poor poor boy... Scream my name and let me be your salvation.

---

Then it became silent after you finally adapted to the noise. It is as if your senses became sharper than before.

"I got you, Dr. Arkham," Nurse Samantha gently place two pills infront of you while Cpt. Cash became concerned.

"Is he gonna be ok?" He asks and you nod slowly. With no time to waste, you began the interview.

Guard Gregory: " I-it was just an honest accident...what? How? Yeah...Me and her became Intimate after few days of transfer...Look, she's lonely alright? I just want to do what's best for her. I didn't know that closed space triggered her PTSD. I didn't know she kept the steel knife after her breakfast! I am lucky George's with me that time."

'C'mon. It's an easy pussy. We all need pussies and I need em everyday'

Guard George: Yeah she slashed me... guarding the what? Oh! Me and Greg goes way back and I just doing my old pal a favor. Give me a break man"

' Fucking pervert dragging me to hell. Should charged him more for this shit'

Nurse Rose: Yes everything's fine...No, well actually I feel Ivan is always watching me after he talk about some liberation thing. It's kinda creepy...and to tell you the truth, I feel Guard Gregory is leering at me too.

' Please let the day end...please let the day end...freedom from the grind...release from being a zombie'

Dr. Sinner: She had panic attack and it is understandable that she have a knife after being a prisoner in Blackgate. We will keep an eye on her and make sure she doesn't get escorted again. Intimacy doesn't help her sickness, especially when the paranoia resurfaced.

' It should be me...that is my position...I hate you, you volatile sicko...'

>Week 3

It's like a calm before the storm.

You are nervous as nothing happened the following days but the low level cells are being monitored carefully. Guard Gregory and George's punishment was a month on the Mid lvl cells patrol list.

>+1 health (9/10)
> legs are healed now but not fully healed.

With the bandages fully opened, the only evidence of your bravery or foolish plot was the scars on your thin legs.

"You should be fine for a while, just dont overwork yourself," The chief doctor says after poking your legs," Get some exercise and rest. Take this twice a day." He than gave you a cane from the first time you arrived here.

Whether it is a blessing or not, Nurse Samantha Insisted to keep on escorting you until you are fit to walk alone.

For now, the danger is still here in Arkham Asylum, lurking inside like cancer.
