“Our lord approaches!”

>The space marine, who has taken control of this Renegade regiment since Commander Irvis’s death, steps into the war room. His helmeted gaze passed over al attending

“Greetings. Today is the day of our first operation since your commander’s death. We shall take a step further in damaging the Imperial presence on this planet.”

“Some ways from here is an Imperial Outpost meant to command this area. They have many things there, but our main target is three valkyrie aircraft. With these, our operational range increases tenfold. This base is heavily guarded, there will be no sneaking in; we shall be launching a frontal assault.”

>He turns to leave

“We leave in two hours. Hydra dominatus.”

>What is this?
This is the Renegade Regiment, a freeform RP . In this quest, you play Renegade guardsmen and chaos cultists under the command of Commander Irvis as the regiment struggles against the shackles of the Imperium

>Can I join?
Sure, join right in. For now, you’re restricted to having your character be a human or abhuman/mutant. Also of course, they have to be the kind of person to worship or at least work with the Chaos Gods.

>Can I have multiple characters?
Yes as long as you don't use it to powerplay.

>How do you play?
We tend to use spoilers for OOC chat, but nothing is set in stone.
We tend to use greentexts for describing a character's actions, but again nothing is set in stone.
Use d20s for combat checks and d100s for other things you want to roll, higher Is better.

>The Plaguegryn rises from the pool; his back now cracked by chitinous growths and vestigial insectoid wings emerging from his back
>He stumbles towards the command centers into the designated corner
>With a voice reminiscent of flies buzzing
"Father has blessed me; what you need Lord?"
>>
>>2718576
I hope they have an accordion in there
>He gets up from his little corner and prepares for the assult
>>
>>2718586
"To kill those that have what we need."
>>
>>2718591
>Flys circle the Plaguegryn; his form visibly hunched from mutation
"I will slaughter; show me the place and it will be smashed."
>>
>>2718576
Understood commander.

I shall begin making preparations.
>>
>>2718598
"You.. you plan stuff, yeh?"
>His intestines move, as though there was something alive in them
"Tell me da plan."
>>
>>2718627
The plan is to stage a full frontal assault on an imperial outpost, ensuring no vital aircraft are damaged in the skirmish.

That means no corruption until we leave
>>
>>2718633
>A nurgling falls out of his intestines
"So.. where i smash though?"
>>
>>2718636
Into the largest concentration of guardsmen you can find. And as far away from the aircraft as possible
>>
>>2718643
"Okay i understand."
>He lifts up his greatbell and leaves, a trail of slime and nurglings follows him
>>
>>2718576

Brunhilde was still laying on the pile of cloth scraps that was where she rested, still thinking about the dream she had and what she should have done differently. It was something stuck in her mind that she couldn't stop thinking about for the past few hours, and she felt regretful over it by merely thinking about it. Luckily the strange cold feeling had seemed to subside by now, and her mind was able to think of other things. She would get up sometime soon, but she was going to lay here for a bit longer...thought she did wonder a little about what everyone else was doing, she couldn't hear anyone outside doing anything or even just walking by. Did everyone leave?
>>
>>2718677
>A stench emanates from outside the tent
>After a moment a massive Plaguegryn opens the tent flap
"We attack base, you come with, all help smash."
>>
>>2718681

Brunhilde would use some of the rags used where she slept to cover her nose the second she smelled the terrible stench. When the disgusting looking monstrosity entered she looked away and said "I can't leave the base, I have been specifically told not to, and if you mean attacking this one, the one we both are currently in then you must be out of your mind."
>>
>>2718687
>A robed and masked figure walks in, avoiding contact with Boilspew
Orders from the commander, everyone is to join in the attack, now wake up and go to battle
>>
>>2718688

"You must be lying. There would at least be a few left behind as to guard the base. And I highly doubt he said everyone. Your going to need proof because I'm not going to just listen to and trust a random person I've never met before like yourself, I only listen to Jaan and the current commander."
>>
>>2718576
>Flagg stands at the astartes' side, occasionally appraising him of logistical information.
Will you need my... unique... abilities during the assault, my lord?
>>
>>2718696
"Wat?"
"What is lie?"
>Sniffle
"It sounds bad."
>Blech
"You must come, you slave, not person."
>>
>>2718696
Were raiding it for the valkyrie airscraft and I heard that you know how to pilot them. Besides, you are a slave not a guard, so wake up and taste the ashes
>He takes a little jar of ashes from his cloak and pours some into her face
>>
>>2718699

"I don't think you get the fact my master said I can't leave the base we currently are in. Get him or the commander and if they tell me to go along on whatever mission we have I will, but until then I'm not going to leave with you two."
>>
Rolled 33 + 10 (1d100 + 10)

>Operator withdraws to the war room.

>he lays out the information he has avaliable, plotting the target on the map on the table with a pin
>he spends the next hour and a half planning the method of approach that would give his forces the best chance of success
>>
>>2718701
"Should i make her move?"
>Blechh
"She is disobeying, and she slave."
>>
>>2718697
“I shall Flagg. Would you like to be improsined and attack from within, or would you prefer to charge in alongside the berserkers?”
>>
>>2718705
She has a point as she belongs to someone else, lets go get the commander
>He pours some more ashes on Brunhildes face and walks away to see the commander
>>
>>2718708
>He follows, waiting outside the command tent
>>2718707
"Boss! Help, slave is being bad!"
>>
>>2718701

Brunhilde would wipe the ashes from her face annoyed at how he just poured them on her and caused a bit of a mess, but one word he said stood out... "Wait, a aircraft?...please get Jaan or the commander really quickly, I really want to be able to fly again, and those ships can't be to different from what I have flown, right?"

>>2718705

"I am a slave but I'm not your slave. I told you I only listen to Jaan and the commander. Jaan is my master, you aren't!, can you understand that?"
>>
>>2718704
>The former sister of Battle turned slave hobbles up to O7 on her crutches. Her entire being seems darkened and lessened.

“Master, do... do you need any help from me?”
>>
>>2718710
“I don’t care! Drag her in here by force if need be!”
>>
>>2718711
>He turns to her
He's an ogryn, so take a guess, also wait I'll get the commander
>>2718707
My lord, we need you to give Brunhilde order to join the attack, she will be useful as she has a pilot training
>>
>>2718711
"Boss said he don't care, and that i drag you in."
>Grabs her by the head, dragging her behind him to Alpharius
>Dropping her on the ground
"Got her for you boss."
>>2718714
>>
>>2718707
I believe I would be more useful attacking from within. How shall u go about becoming "imprisoned"?
>>
>>2718713
I may, actually.

You know a fair amount about combat. Anything I’ve missed in my layout here?
>he gestures to the table plan

Are you eating quite well? You seem weaker than before. I’m telling you you need to regain your strength Catalina.

Or was it just bad dreams?
>>
>>2718718
“Ah, Von Bothmer... you were once a pilot, yes? You will be needing to dredge up those skills again soon. Betray me, and even you will not like what happens after.”
>>
>>2718718

Brunhilde would struggle, completely disgusted by the creature that was dragging her and was really glad when she was finally let go, although she felt sick from the smell. "What was that for?! I told you I only listen to Jaan and the commander so w-" she then noticed the space marine that was in command here and simply said "Oh, my lord? Do you need anything?"
>>
>>2718724

"Yes master, I was a pilot and I still know how to fly, although I have never flown an imperial aircraft. And don't worry, I only would ever betray you if Jaan did, and I know he wouldn't ever betray you unless you attacked him for some reason."
>>
>>2718719
“The obvious way. Walk up to the walls, fall over. They will drag you in to investigate you.”
>>
>>2718725
This wouldn't have happened if you listened to us from the very beggining
>>
>>2718720
“I... we haven’t looked at battlefield maps for a long time. We don’t think we would be of help.”

>She pinches her temples

“Head hurts... I... we’re eating... fine. The food is... bad but good at the same time.”
>>
>>2718743
It will be done.
>Flagg prepares to leave camp, taking with him a canteen, a walking stick, and a laspistol
>>
>>2718745

"You are not my masters, only Jaan and the commander are, I asked for proof and all you did was drag me here in the worst way possible. It's not my fault for not trusting two random people suddenly barging in my masters tent and saying literally everyone has to leave on an assult when everyone leaving would make this base completely defenceless and would be something I know that the commander wouldn't order."
>>
>>2718748
“Hydra Dominatus, Augustus.”
>>
>>2718755
"But he did, your dumb."
>Smacks the back of her head
"Stop talkin' no disrepect."
>>
>>2718757
Hydra Dominatus.
>>
>>2718755
You should've first asked why we would come near a slaaneshi den in a first place, and he dragged you here because commander told him to
>>
>>2718760

Shd seems disgusted by the thing smacking her. That would have been slightly pleasurable if done by something that wasn't completely and utterly disgusting beyond belief.

>>2718762

"Fair enough, but I wish he ordered someone else to do it and not him." She would say before shivering from how revolting and filthy that thing was, and how it actually made contact with her skin...she felt a bit sick, and worried she might be sick not just for that being disgusting.
>>
>>2718747
We?
>>
>>2718775
“We- I mean I, it’s a... coping mechanism. Yes. It’s like the punishment can happen to a person that is not just me.”
>>
>>2718791
If you were trying to escape reality surely you’d say she instead.

No matter, I’m sure you will come to your senses once healed.
For now though, just remember what we discussed
>>
>>2718773
He didn't strictly order anyone to do so, its was more along the lines of someone, anyone to bring you to him
>>
>>2718830

"In that case I'll remember to inform Jaan of this so I hopefully never have to deal with such a revolting thing touching me again."
>>
>>2718839
You must remember that he is an ogryn alongside everything that comes with it

and you have my permission to join in this mission maybe i can have someone to fly with later
>>

Uhm, ok, cool. I guess I'll stab stuff. Wait, I know, I'll make sure everyone gets something to eat before we go.

>>
>>2718843

"The issue is I don't really know what that is, but I think I have learned well enough after that."

>>2718883

She frowns and says "He dragged me here and after smacked me on the back of my head...I feel sick, and I'm unsure if it's because of how he looks smells and how filthy he is, or if it's because I caught something from that...or a mix of both. If you want me on the mission though, I'll make sure to come along master, though it might be best to be washed off first."

>>2718892
>>2718920

"I think she wants me to help her as I was planning on working with her before I became a slave, but considering what just happened I would advise against that, I don't want to accidentally taint the food supply."
>>
>>2718926
Fair enough, I'll just go to the kitchen on my own.
>>2718920
If she's not feeling well I don't want to risk everyone's health for one more pair of hands in the kitchen. I'll see you both later.
>Off to make food for everyone who still eats real food.
>>
>>2718926
oh that’s terrible ill make sure you clean yourself properly before returning home

> he continues to scratch her

i like it when you say that word

> he begins to use more force while scratching

>>2718929

i would prefer it if you asked me first

and have a blessed time till we meet again
>>
>>2718936

Brunhilde seemed a bit more relaxed, but she knew that it probably wasn't a good idea to scratch her head considering she was grabbed by it when the pox and puss filled horror dragged her. "Uhm, master, you may want to stop, the disgusting...thing...grabbed me by the head and hit the back of it so it's probably quite filthy...I should have said something earlier...I'm sorry." She would say looking at the ground, a bit worried at what Jaan would do, along with if her delayed response could have made him catch something.
>>
>>2718956
That's why I rubbed you with ashes, they are remarkably sanitary and help with filth, after all, they are a component for soap for a reason

"The work called to us, and we made pilgrimage. Alas, this place is inherantly disorganised and we became lost. Eventualy we placed ourselves in the best available spot."
>Crusius's servants immediately take about the work of packing back up and moving out.
"I hope you do not intend to reject my presence here? My works will soon prove to be a great boon to this regiment I think."
>>
>>2718960
Finally some action! My men and i will target the core of their position and-
Wait.
Who are you?
>>
>>2718988
Salfrin is my name, assassin and a servant of the outcast god
>>
>>2718968
You may do as you please. What exactly do you do though?
>>
>>2718993
"Our works are focused on the merging of the Technological and the Divine. So far only minor servants of the Dark Gods, Furies and the like, but with resources and sacrifices so much more..."
>The Dark magos trails off, lost in his own fantasies of the dark works he will create, before he snaps back to reality.
"In the short term though; if you need something repaired, designed or built we can get it done. In exchange for payment of course."
>>
>>2718991
I know not of this "outcast god"
Just stay out of my way
>The stench of Barabass crosses his nose
What is that smell!? Augh!
>>
>>2719002
Perfectly acceptable.

You should meet with our leader in the war room.
We will soon depart to make an advance upon an outpost
>>
>>2719020
"Very Well."
>Crusius unleashes an earsplitting blast of binaric cant.
"My servants will begin re-tooling for combat immediately."
>Crusius crosses the camp to the source of the commotion, the War Room.
"I was informed that I should report here?"
>>
>Jay, in the war room.
Everyone ate right, we don't want to do this assault on an empty stomach. Unless you're liable to puke my hard work up that is.
>>

Ive ran out of sacred oil, Its machine spirit grows angry, sometimes it refuses to power on, or will cut off in the middle of sparring. It has also begun rejecting fuel intake.
If you can remedy this i will appreciate this
>>
>>2719075
"We can refurbish the components and replace the intake ducts. We can also provide a fresh supply of unguents. But we do not work for free, our forge hungers and my more esoteric works require... sacrifices. What can you offer us?"
>>
>>2719080

well what on earth would you want? Thrones? Hah!
The only thing of value i have is my sword arm and you have no use for that
Theres something specific you want, what is it.
>>
>>2719088
"Well salvage from battles is a good start, replacement parts do not find themselves. Or if you can stand to leave your enemies alive, captives for my ritual works."
>The magos thinks for a second, his tape spools whiring and something clicks rhythemicaly under his robe.
"By the Dark Gods, we would even accept the promise of a future favor."
>>
>>2719088
>He ponders for a moment
Actually there is something i can pay you with
Protection
There arent many in this regiment i would call both friendly and sane
Your new around here so you need something to make sure you arent jumped with all your shit stolen
You keep my weapons and gear maintained, as well as taking requisition requests and i can guarantee your safety, as well as a nice place to pursue your projects
What do you say?

You keep our shit working right, We make sure you dont get killed
Also collecting any scrap we find on the field
And if we need new shit crafted we will come to you.
Deal?
>>
>>2719111
"This sounds perfectly fair."
>The sound of a dial-up modem issues from somewhere within the Magos's robes as data is transmitted to his servants.
"Have your men report to my servants for refitting immediately. I understand that we do not have much time before the battle."
>>
>>2719116
It will be done.
And thank you, most people steer clear of us, given our reputation
I will address the men now
>he leaves
>>
>A figure stumbles into the camp, his flak armour covered in dirt and fresh blood
>Although shrouded by layers of mud, the lazy blue glow of a plasma pistol is visible at his hip
>In his hand rests what appears to be a ritual dagger, except the length of a sword and covered in a hazy blue mist
>When close to him vague whispers can be heard, always coming from behind the person listening, never clear as to what the whispers say
>Unlike the rest of his armour his torso is free of any concealing marks, and on his torso lies the Mark of Malice, a symbol of Chaos Undivided whose spikes have turned inwards to strike at the wearer
>Looking upon the mess of a camp, with its scattered tents and wandering masses and corrupted mutants, he puts a hand to his mask and sighs deeply.
"What have the Gods cursed me with this time."

Yes! Finally some damned action!

Brunhilde would have gotten herself somewhat clean and not be a hazard to the rest of the regiment before quickly running over to walk by the transports, not entering them as the space would probably be reserved for people who weren't slaves... She wished she had her revolver though, that would make the combat she undoubtedly would get into a lot easier.

If anyone shoots you i will butcher them personally you have my word, now hurry up!

Now hop in! the hour of battle is almost upon us!
>he looks angry, and excited. Miserable, and elated. A strange oxymoron of emotions that will drive him today
>>
>>2719386
>Lenny gets in and sits beside Sparax, burying his face into his dirty palms before tightening his helmet on his head. Lenny begins thinking of ways to kill himself. Should he just should himself or go out with a bang and swallow a grenade? There was a total range of options that he could choose from to once and for all end his boundless despair and self-loathing. The fact that he’s had to witness 3 Slaaneshi orgies makes him want to shoot up the regiment and make columbine look like a picnic.

Slayers! Slay the strong slay the weak!
>they echo this back to him, their loud voices bounce off the walls of the Chimera, lenny gets a headache
>>
>The vehicles rumble along for two hours at high speeds before Alpharius gives the signal to stop. He gets out of the rhino and stands atop it

"The enemy position is not far from here. Here is the plan: We will be sending a heavy weapons team to a nearby hilltop where they will have vision on the compound; from there, the team will first take out the vox array with a missile launcher, and then focus on enemy emplacements. They aren not to hit the valkyries; those are our primary targets to secure and take for our own. After the heavy weapon team's primary bombardment has shaken the enemy, the Khornate rhino will barrel straight into the gate, and the men inside will emerge to rip in tear. It is at that point the rest of us will move in. Any questions?"

Brunhilde, not exactly liking her chances stuck with nothing but a knife at the moment, tried to go at this from a different approach. The goal was to get the aircraft in the base, the valkyries. So, she thought that while the guards where distracted with the whole 'entire regiment of chaos attacking' thing she could probably sneak into the base and possibly get into one of the crafts and provide much more support than she would otherwise be able to if she was able to figure out how to fly it. So, she started to sneak in from one of the directions the regiment wasn't attacking from, trying to get to one of the valkyries.

Brunhilde would take the revolver silently before putting it away, needless to say, she felt a bit embarrassed at how she was so quickly and easily spotted by her master. At least she had her revolver now, it was much better than a knife after all, and she knew how to shoot more then she knew how to stab. A bit of her also felt insulted at how her master thought she might use it against him, the only people she could think of using it on where the ones fighting the regiment...or Seven if he caught her with Catalina, but that was besides the point.

She would look behind her seat every once and a while, an old habit that saved her life in the past, but now it was time for some CAS.

Lord Alpharius, a moment of your time if you will.

I would personally advise that we take this opportunity to further mislead the imperial forces.

We simply take a marginal effort to make it look as if our assault was repelled and that we fled north east, away from our mountain keep.

We make it as if the leader of the outpost here wrote about our retreat and that all of the guard here later died of nurgle rot.

It may take considerable effort however we could possibly send the imperials on a wild goose chase away from us, as we have little chance of maintaining our cover after this frontal assault.

They will know Chaos was involved soon either way.

Simply raising manpower and equipment will be slow going. Our efforts to expand will be greeted with increasing, highly dangerous resistance.

However we also cannot go undetected forever.

Our best bet is to plant agents or corrupt those in power, without men on the inside we cannot win this planet.

While the day started out fairly bad with that dream not going as hoped and leaving her feeling bad after it passed, it seemed things turned around quite a bit with how she actually was able to fly around now and she was praised for her work. Thinking about what could make this day better made her think of Catalina and she wondered if Jaan might actually get her as a gift sometime soon. Though being able to rest her head in the nicest room Jaan would have in the base pleased her a fair bit and was a fairly good gift already, especially considering how Jaan doubted Seven would give up Catalina. Brunhilde would enjoy the time going back to the base, although she would have enjoyed it more if she flew back to the base. Still she was pleased with everything that had happened so far. Once she was told about bob she merely nodded and waited for Jaan to wander off before she herself went to go give Catalina a visit if she could. She felt good and it was certain that this would help make the end of the day a bit better after what happened with Catalina, however once she was finished eating she just sat there for a time, at least thirty minutes passed before the drugs wore off, maybe more. Unfortunately once they wore off it also ment her attention changed from the feelings the drugs gave her and to what had happened with Catalina. She thought about what happened for a moment and thought maybe she was stressed, and a good way for her to get rid of her stress would be to let her do what she did to her. Surely she would enjoy it, and maybe she could talk after. However she didn't know how much time passed, which meant Catalina could have moved, and Seven too. Still, she would check where the two last were, just to make sure...though she didn't know how she would get Catalina to actually let herself come near if she was still there...

Ive heard how you feel about factions in the Regiment, but more men under my command, and that many more trained by me and mine will be that much more effective in combat.
With the proper numbers, we can be a special forces unit used for sowing terror and death in the enemy lines.
As the 18 that we are, our range of effectiveness is very limited.
What say you?

Seeing Catalina still in the tactics room made Brunhilde feel a bit relieved. She would watch her for a bit before deciding maybe the best course of action would be the more overt one. Brunhilde would step through into the room and just walk over to Catalina. She wasn't smiling or directly trying to get her attention like before, just standing a five or so feet away, hoping she would say something or maybe leave which would allow her to more comfortably talk to her. She was worried that this was going about things the wrong way and she would just be pushed away with a hiss or something similar but it's not like there was much else she could do. She didn't want to force Catalina after all.

>Catalina does not look towards you

"Hello Bruny. How are you doing today?"
>>
>>2721327
My lord, i am in no mood for jests as i know you are not.
My slayers are invaluable to your campaign
look at the havoc we wrought today
If anything, if an aspirant dies in training we would be culling the weak.
>>
>>2721352
"Even the weak may be used as canon fodder. How many men do you seek to recruit?"
>>
>>2721354
I think 50 would suit us fine. Being able to split that number, put them into 2 armored transports, send those at the extreme left and right flanks or even behind enemy lines,
and you have a recipe for death unparalleled by any other group here
And if we had 80? if on the right targets, wed be unstoppable
>>
>>2721346

"I'm doing okay...today has had its ups and downs. I hope you are having a good day though, but...you didn't seem to be in a good mood earlier... did something happen? Or did I do something you didn't like?" Brunhilde seemed to be verified nervous and worried, unsure of what would be the best thing to say and still scared she would be told to leave. She wanted to say more but she had no clue what else to say, and could only wait for Catalina to respond and hope for the best.

>Her voice suddenly takes on a trembling tone

"Brunhilde help me. If the person that tried to get me put of this place is still in you, I need you to kill me."
>>
>>2721370
"Hmm... for every 8 applicants that die in training, one slayer shall be killed. It is a test at your skill at training other men, and selecting applicants intelligently. Select too many weaklings and see your numbers crumble."

"W-What? W-Wait I ca-" is all she would be able to say before Catalina's tone had changed and she requested that she be killed. Brunhilde's eyes would widen and she would stammer, struggling to speak for a few moments as she felt that odd feeling of coldness inside of herself return, eventually she would be able to say "I-I c-can't do t-that, I-I co-couldn't b-bring myself t-to do that! I...I'm sorry...I can't...th-there has to be s-some way to w-work this out, R-Right?! I...I couldn't just...." Brunhilde would go silent for a good minute, not knowing fully how to respond before it came to her along with a familiar feeling she had felt not so long ago. She would say "I'm...sorry...I could n-never be a-able to do such a th-thing. B-Being forced t-to watch you d-die is one thing, b-but knowing it w-was caused b-by me...if you want t-to p-punish m-me f-for my weakness a-and what I have d-done to you, you may i-in whatever way you w-want." She didn't know what to do, feeling completely lost and blind in this moment, really if Catalina, or rather any of the alternative personalities in Catalina's head wanted something from her, or wanted to do something to her, she would provide no resistance.
>>

Brunhilde would weakly nod before walking off. She like Catalina needed time to think, and she quietly did so, ignoring bob completely. Eventually after some time she would fall asleep.

"They don't; the nearby villages are not that nearby. Everyone seems to always forget just how up in the mountains this valley is; it's 100 miles from anything else at all. 'Nearby' is relative, and the villages were all small affairs that the Imperium likely barely knew existed."

I was thinking of using those villages for food and other resources we desperately need more of as we have not been foraging to a large enough extent and are bleeding food at an exrordinary high rate we still need to set up a power base but due to those detestable poxbags this will be almost impossible!

>>

Not clairvoyance, it’s science, much like the fertilisers.

It is knowledge gained from study of temperature of moisture, more than clouds and stars.

Clairvoyance is beyond the abilities of a mere book such as this.

You seem interested, or perhaps concerned about this.

It is simply because we see the needs of villages like yours and wish to bestow prosperity among all. Surely this is enough for you and your people?”

The knowledge we have compiled over the years is a veritable library.
There is much to tell.

But no matter how much we can tell you, eventually time will pass, and new generations will forget the lessons.

What we can do, is teach you how to learn. To seek knowledge from the father of wisdom. The method of studying reality that leads to new innovation.

Now do me a favor, look inside your head and take what youve learned about "proper chainblade technique" and forget that fucking garbage
When you were taught how to use it, they showed you how to use it like a sword
This is fucking stupid okay?
If your not a fucking weakling and can actually swing it with some force, its basically a hammer with teeth

But this fucking thing has neither of those, if youve ever used it you know it rattles and shakes in your hands, you have to keep a strong grip just to hold it!
Using this monster like a "cutting edge" will get you nowhere

Now, You might wonder why im not angry or forsaking that guy
Im kind of happy with him actually, he didnt back off.
Fear. Fear is a natural human emotion that is designed to act as a defense mechism in the brain.
You get scarred, which tells you to run the fuck away right?
well
Fear is humanitys greatest weakness
Fear causes us to hold back
Fear causes us to fail
Some pathetic worms get so fucking scarred that they stop dead in their tracks and it gets them killed!
>deep breath
Perhaps thats for the better....
ANYWAY
Fear is also our greatest weapon, if we can harass it other humans will be helpless against us.
Their are many ways to cause fear, your chainblade already does that for you, as ive explained before
Let me explain
>He lectures on the art of using someones fear against them, how to pick up on it in the heat of battle, how to play on it. And how to react if someone truly, truly has no fear.
You fuckers get all that?

"Yeah, yeah, I get it, I'm sure these other idiots get it as well. I think it would be better to actually try this stuff out on an enemy instead of having you explain for another hour though, seeing as how we could be using this time to actually get shit done for Khorne."
>>
>>2723423
So glad of you to speak about the Blood God, shit head.
The Blood God offers many boons. An anchor for our anger, bloodlust and general hatred for everything that isnt dead or soon to be so
All well and good.
But have to looked around the regiment? you see those dumb fucks in the robes with the markings on their skin and the prayers n what not
Fuck those guys
yes
were blood thirsty killers, but if you revere Khorne beyond something to give your skulls to then your fucking retarded
Because no matter how much you offer, how much you reveere and praise him just like me he does not give a FLYING FUCK about you
>other slayers nod in agreement
If your shit your gonna die. Khorne's not gonna care, and neither is anyone in this room
Kill a man, take his head and move on.
You kill a man and do it well Khorne will notice trust me.
But beyond that your prayers and pleas for boons will fall on deaf ears.
And the reason im lecturing you, right after a fight is because we have stop, Alot.
We hate it. So much
i hate it so much
but when the fight is done and we await new orders we need to stop.
And wait.
Imagine killing 19 people all by yourself then just STOP.
Its unbearable. Thats the kind of pain thats in your blood man
>he bites his lip, angered by just thinking about the feeling of being denied more blood after fighting for hours and hours
But its getting late, go out and around the corner on the right, man in the green jacket. hel patch you up good. Be back here at 8:am standard terran tomorrow.

I will take those Points in turn
one yes I can maintain carapace armour why wouldn’t I it is not too hard.
two I can most probably make a chain axe depending on what specifications you have
and for the third one I can most probably do it with Little to no problem depending on what the commander says about it. but as long as he don’t intervene then yes I can construct a fast transport with minimal armour if that is your preference.

"Not really, I think the old commander told me of them once before but I don't really recall what he said. But, this god... they only wish for their followers to enjoy life to the fullest? Is that how you worship them? Because if so, I like that...Perfection is something I would like in flying and whittling, pleasure, well, anything enjoyable can be considered pleasurable, right? And excess...if it's an excess of pleasure and perfection...all of this sounds almost too good too be true...but if it is, I think I'll join you in worship, master..." she would quietly laugh at herself, thinking of how she thought that those neverborn where hallucinations a while ago when she first came here and her belief that gods didn't exist. The dreams, the neverborn, even the mutations that people where getting here...all of it was proof, and she was going to start worshipping what was the best god of all, if what Jaan said was true, but she trusted him... Once the venom wore off, Brunhilde would say "It...was. It most certainty was." Although sounding a bit sleepy as she spoke. Though, she thought of how it would be much better if her body was as she wished it was, along with if Catalina was there, but such things where out of control and in the hands of the prince and Jaan, and she wouldn't deny she enjoyed what had happened. Either way, she was glad Jaan was her master, as in her mind, there was only two other people who would treat her as kindly, and one of them currently was a slave.
>>
>>2725745
im going to sleep now, you sound tired how about you do the same
>>
>>2726485

"That doesn't sound like such a bad idea." Brunhilde would say before yawning, and closing her eyes after adjusting slightly to be just that little bit more comfortable.

>>2726583

Brunhilde would open her eyes and seem very relaxed and comfortable with what Jaan was doing, seemingly content to merely lie there as a slight pain from his scratching formed, a good kind of pain, obviously, even if it wasn't much. She wouldn't say anything, just smile feeling quite relaxed and looking at Jaan.

"Well, if you wish for some breakfast, would you like to stay here while I see if it has been made or would you like to go get it yourself? I'm sure you are comfortable right now and would like to stay in bed a little longer, and I'm perfectly fine with getting it for you."

>>
>>2726670
>>2726736
>As Brunhilde enters the kitchen she hears... humming? Catalina appears to be making breakfast while humming.
>>
>>2727056

Brunhilde, who was quite content with getting Jaan his food for him was surprised at hearing and seeing Catalina cooking and humming as she did so, she would stop in her tracks for a bit and just stare at Catalina. After a bit she would slowly go up to her and say "H-Hello, Catalina. I'm surprised you're here. Do you work in the kitchen now?" While only slightly putting in effort to find the food made for her and Jaan.
>>
>>2727482
>Catalina smiles. She looks happy, which is weird

"We are working here because it seemed like a nice thing to do, and the master gave no other orders."
>>
>>2727547

Brunhilde smiled, mostly because Catalina was smiling, maybe she had come to terms with her new life or something along those lines. Whatever the reasons, it made her happy as well. "Alright, I am glad you are able to do something you like for once...how have you been since we last talked? You looked quite the opposite of what you seem like now, but I presume it was good seeing how you look genuinely happy."
>>
>>2727670
"We have been good. We finally decided to stop holding up hope for rescue, and instead have hope of comfortable life of service."
>>
>>2727689

"Okay, that makes sense...uhm...I also want to ask...do you forgive me for what I did? I know I probably don't deserve it but..I would like to hear what you have to say. If you need more time or want me to leave you be for a few days after this I'll respect your wishes."
>>
>>2727724
"Of course we forgive you!"

>She opens her arms wide

"Please give us a hug!"
>>
>>2727735

Brunhilde smiles quite a bit as she quickly rushes into Catalina's arms and hugs her a bit tightly, all the while saying "Thank you thank you thank you! You are too kind! I....I'll have to find a way to repay your kindness, just tell me what you want and I'll do it for you, its only fair, right?"
>>
>>2727776
"Thank you so much. Could you just, hold right there for a second?"

>>
Rolled 73 (1d100)

>>2727788

"Of course, anything for yo-" Brunhilde would be able to say before she felt the wonderful pain of being stabbed. A part of her, the more reasonable part of her that is, thought that she wasn't actually forgiven, another part of her, or rather the majority of her, thought Catalina just wanted to do what she did to her lovingly. So she simply said "Oh? Are you sure you want to do that here? Wouldn't someone get the wrong idea? We do this somewhere more private so no one gets the wrong idea, right? I know a good spot if you would like." She would say, attempting to drag Catalina to the one room Jaan had that had no slaves or Jaan himself.
>>

"Let us go now! It was only the one stab! We don't want any more besides! Just karma!"
>She struggles against the catty grip
>>
>>2727863

Despite the knife still in her back, Brunhilde seemed to have a hold on Catalina that seemed unnaturally strong, at least to Catalina anyway. Once she fully dragged Catalina into the entrance of the three roomed quarters that Jaan had, she shut and locked the door before letting go of Catalina and pulling the knife out of her back before handing it back to Catalina. "If you want Karma, wouldn't you want what I did to you done to me? Besides your life much be so stressful with having to deal with that nasty seven. So go on, let off some steam, I know you want to and would enjoy it, after all, you wouldn't have been so kind as to stab me if that wasn't true, like how I taught you how pain is pleasurable now you'll learn inflicting it feels wonderful too! So please, let us have this moment, together."
>>
>>2727946
"Seven is a good master! Let us go! We decided we do not want primary pain based pleasure!"
>>
>7, meanwhile is still disguised as a scholar, his appearance masked to any observers
>while waiting for the food to arrive, he finds it mysteriously late
>he goes to the kitchen to find Catalina completely absent
>>
>>2727962

"Oh? There is so much more you could have, I would be willing to show you everything that feels wonderful, not just feeling or causing pain, just let me show you okay? I'm doing this for you, that's why I've done everything, because...I...I love you, and I know inside of you, you love me. Besides how is seven a good master? He beat you, shocked you and tortured you before you knew how it could be pleasurable, do you really think he sees you as a person? As more than an object to do his bidding? Because I know he doesn't. But I do...if you really want to go back to such a uncaring calculated worshipper of the trickster, I can't stop you, but I know you won't, after all I let go of you and you didn't run to the door to try an unlock it or break it. You know as well as I do you want to be with me, so why fight it?"

"But you where never bad, and beating and shocking you for no reason, especially when you don't know how pain can feel good is just uncalled for. You needed a guiding hand, not a iron rod slammed against you for the most minor detail, and that still doesn't address how he doesn't think of you as a person. And yes, I locked the door, but do you really think a slave such as I would have the key? You want to be with me, but you don't want to admit it. But that's fine, I can be patient." She would move a hand to caress Catalina's check as she said "I can wait, I don't need to harm you for you to understand that. Unlike how seven had shocked and beaten you into believing things, I don't have to do such things, because they are true, and telling the truth is something much more powerful than even the most well crafted lie ever will. Besides you know I'm terrible at lying, and why would I lie to you, my love?"

>>
>>2728097

"No, he didn't. He talked to you for at most ten minutes and then shocked you horribly because he didn't want to slowly and kindly make you understand the error of your ways. He is an impatient fool who only cares about you like one would care about their clothing, or their tools. But I care for you honestly, I care for you as a human being, and that's why I tell you this. I want to show you how much better your life can be and learn of all it's pleasures, both simple and excessive, with you. If you really wish to leave at least tell me this, has your master ever asked how you felt? About what you had done in the past? What you would like? Has he ever just sat down and talked to you normally like one would a acquaintance, friend, lover, or just even another person? Or did he just give you orders and treat you like a defective machine much like your old masters before him who never rescued you from this place and probably forgot about you?"

you sorry thing i would like to help you, you have completely misunderstood him

he does not like you, he does not care for you. he is a follower of the trickster, the only time they show emotion is when they are manipulating you. he is not fit to be your master he has not been blessed by his god, and do you really want to become one of the tricksters pawns doomed to die alone and destitute and not one of the princes glorious flock blessed with living their lives to the fullest

>>2728229

Go away im busy how hard is that to understand!
>>
>>2728241

"Again, you could leave at any time, it's not like you need a key to unlock the door on this side. And I wonder, did he torture you to the point of believing that or is that actually true? Because if it is it's a shocking change of heart from how he treated you before the escape attempt. Either way it doesn't matter, you know you won't undo that lock willingly as much as I do, because you love me and want to be with me, but you want to play hard to get! Or maybe you just are conflicted, or maybe, maybe, you are just scared of your master hearing all of this and punishing you terribly for speaking against him. It's fine though, you are safe here, there is no need to worry, I will always keep you safe, and I will always care for you." She opens her arms wide, similarly to how Catalina did earlier in the kitchen "Please, give me a hug."
>>
>>2728261

>>2728285
"Oh. I thought it was locked on this side. Goodbye then. We like you, but this is creepy."

Brunhilde would lower her arms and say in quite a sad voice "Catalina...Please don't go. I just want to help you make the best decisions. I care about you, I don't want you to suffer and be changed into something you aren't by seven. Don't listen to that machine man whose heart is akin to an engine and eyes spotlights, don't listen to him, please. All he will do is spout out lies, beat you for liking me and torture you until you hate me instead of him. Please, don't go, if not for my sake then your own."

She seems relaxed once again as her head is scratched with a bit of force, though she still isn't exactly happy at the moment she isn't as sad as she was when she left, but Jaan was a very good master to her and was skilled at making her happy. However while she cared about Jaan, she loved Catalina more, and it would be impossible for him to replace her, should something terrible happen. Either way she would stay quiet and to herself, pondering what would happen and if Catalina would take her advice.

Brunhilde would only quietly say something about them not actually cooking or making any of the food, but she certainly seemed at least a little bit happier. However, she still couldn't get her mind off of one particular person. A part of her wondered if her obsession with Catalina was getting stronger, but even if that was the case, that didn't really matter now, did it?

She didn't mean tho make them but looking at them made her realize something, Catalina truly was shattered, her mind split up. It made sense, and it was probably why she kept referring to herself as we instead of I...but how would she get the part that loved her in full control? That was the real question. As for that one, I didn't even intend to make those things behind Catalina, but it did tell me something when I looked at it...I was right, Catalina's mind is shattered and in peaces. So, my idea was keep giving her pleasure until that part of her takes control, hopefully all of it. But for that, I think we would need to get rid of Seven as a problem, either by having him willingly give us to her, or by having him leave for a while." Brunhilde would then take another chunk out of the leftover food. If she had a complaint it would only be one, and that was that it was a bit cold, but that was mostly her fault for not digging in earlier.

Two, we make a trade with him for her, though the price probably would be quite high. Three, we get him assigned to making a cult in a city somewhere and with him unable to bring his slave. And lastly, four, we eliminate him either by killing or enslaving him and therefor getting Catalina for ourselves. At least that's what I can think of for now." Brunhilde would say before taking another bite, despite savoring each bite, it seems she was taking quite large chunks out of all the food, in fact, if she kept it up for about thirty minutes, bob probably wouldn't have anything to eat...

"Alternate targets, medium range, low ammunition drill!"

What i think hes trying to say is that hes annoyed by the fact that he does alot around here but gets little to know recognition for it
Meanwhile you show up and Alpharius treats you better than most people here
'i think'
but regardless the techpriest should have some manners
>>
>>2733806
"He treats me better for two reasons."

"I rely on my own skill rather than spiritual parasites."

"And the fact that i despite having left the Imperium, still act like an actual damned soldier and not a disorganized rabble like most."

"If he wants recognition, he shouldn't whine and attack the people who do get it, he should go do something worthy of it, or find out why he is not receiving it."

"Harassing me whilst i'm trying to get actual work done is not worthwhile for anyone."

"I'm sure Alpharius would be fine so long as he was still alive and so long as you explained the situation to him. And to answer your question, I believe so, at least I made one part of her like pain. Though the other parts of her seem not to like it in the slightest, and its why they stabbed me I think." Brunhilde would say before taking yet another bite.
>>

>She actually snorts and laughs at Cogran when he says she hasn't earned respect

"Earned respect? You know not what I've gone through already, just because your eyes don't see it, doesn't mean it hasn't happened little cog."

"And on the point of you being the only mechanic."

"You're wrong, there are more of your number throughout the camp, albeit not as active as you."

"One thing however.. Techpriest, your insolence, whilst meaningless now, will be an issue later on."

"My temper grows short of late, don't push me."

"Remove yourself from the training field Techpriest, i don't need you distracting me, or my men."

>>2733849

"Okay, have a good time!" Brunhilde would say before going back to eating. When she was finally finished there was barely any food left, but it was still some food left, and she felt absolutely stuffed, so she would do as Jaan asked and go over to where bob was to give him the last of the food so he didn't starve.
>>
>>2733891
"We... we umm... we'd rather not actually. We have helped each other through these trials and we correct and balance each other. We don't want the one who likes pain and pleasure in charge all the time see? We only want that when we in good situation for it."

>Jaan's men are looking good and corrupted. They are stretching Jaan's enforced dress-code a little though. And some can no longer be fully categorized as "men". But other than some aesthetically pleasing dress code violations, their equipment is shining and polished.
>>
>>2733941
Well the Prince likes your uniforms so no more extreme violations than currently and no one will be punished

But if it goes further then the one who is guilty will be restricted from all stimulants and have latrine duty for a week. Is this understood!?
>>
>>2733909
>About five of Delilahs men who were already interested in Tzeentch start saying praises to him under their breath in the distance
>>
>>2733931
"We are four... no, five. We are five. One is the old Catalina. We... one is the lewd one... she was made when Brunhilde taught us about pain and pleasure. Then there's the angry one. She's the one who tells us to get revenge and protect ourself. The solid one keeps us from killing ourself out of sheer despair and loneliness and that everything will be alright, and the happy one keeps us going and energized."
>>
>>2733975
Then I task you with reconciling your personalities and ensuring you do not divide any further.

You see, each part of your mind is important.

Even the old Catalina, and yes, even the masochistic Catalina.

Each of your different aspects must be kept in balance, yet ever changing.

Imagine a river which flows, from one of your minds, to the next in sequence.
>>
>>2733995

"It's okay, only old Catalina ever has problems!"

>A sudden look of worry crosses her face to be immediately replaced with her cheerful demeanor

"Though we do feel like we're missing something..."
>>
>>2734008
Try to make Old Catalina comfortable.
I still need the aspects of her personality.
You need her too.
Help her through this. Her passion and fury must be moulded into a greater purpose.

However I do have a gift for you.

>it has been repainted blue, keeping the gold trim, with various symbols of Tzeench replacing all imperial iconography

>also in the chest is a new collar, the same golden colour as the armours trim, and far sleeker and less weighty than the stiff iron that currently encompasses her neck

That new collar has a few different shock modes for you to enjoy, if you can do so without going overboard.
>>
>>2734081
>Catalina immediately puts on the new collar, entirely happy to put it on.

>However, she just stares at the power armor for a long while, conflict running over her features.

"We... I... we don't want the armor!"

>She slams the chest shut

"It isn't US. It was only for Old Old Catalina. It has too many memories... give it to someone else. Or, or, we could modify it for you! It's isn't too hard at all!"

>>2734166
>he kneels down to reach the collar, before inserting a key and twisting the heavy iron collar free of her neck
>her rubs the pale skin underneath it, before moving onto her new collar
>he holds her head still before grasping the collar firmly, and slipping a key inside of it.
>the golden collar locks shut, and he passes her a small flat controller, about as thick as a few pieces of paper, and no longer or wider than a few inches

Return to your normal duties, however if you encounter Brunhilde again try not to cause any permanent physical damage. I also expect you to be able to overpower her in a direct physical confrontation, youmshould not have forgotten your training.

Mostly though, ensure that you reject her advances and stay away from any Slanneshi controlled areas. Only venture into tzeenchian and neutral parts of the cavern.

I will give you more detailed instructions in the near future, but until then, take this.

A small genuine smile not at the gesture but at getting their way so easily. Brushing aside long blond hair eyes taking them in. A small chuckle as they stride forth.

Relatively uncontaminated comparitvely. But perhaps that was because of her..twin allegiance. Nonetheless the old aged and cracked voice came forth pining for the one that had been had when in the warp..when in their dreams.

"I called you over wings for one reason. To get your help with dealing with the sisters. I got a cannoness to convert...and I've heard you've got someone you need to deal with. Help me out and...bygones are bygones that sound good friend?"

Trying not to make it sickly sweet. Trying to hold back the contempt in their tone. Following the demonic advice they had been given. Simply wishing to further their own gains.

Did you do anything interesting while you where out?" A part of her hoped he took so long negotiating with Seven for Catalina, and she would be right behind him, but those hopes would be dashed fairly soon as he walked fully into the room...Hopefully he would do such a thing later...hopefully...

I had a pleasurable conversation with a fellow follower of the Prince whom I previously did not see eye to eye with

What have you been doing?

> he looks around to se if the room has been cleaned
>>
>>2735334

The room was fairly clean, at least the food trey and all the plates on it where gone, along with all the bits of wood she carved out of what would become the statuettes of Catalina she made. "Well, I hope you enjoyed your time quite a bit. I just did some cleaning, fed bob, and...thats about it...other then thinking about Catalina..." She would smile as she stared at one of her crafts of their obsession, for a second seeming lost to the world. "I hope you manage to get her...soon...I just cant wait...you can understand that, right?"
>>
>>2735340
I like you because you are so diligent and loyal. And because you are absolutely delicious

> he looks at her his face having a worried expression

But recently this obsessive want for her is coming in the way of your duties. I know you love her and I will do all I can to get her but seven seem to be very stubborn about her
>>
>>2735353

"Thank you, I'm glad I can be considered as much." Brunhilde would say, before being slightly confused by his change in expression. "It won't come in the way of my duties, I know it wont. After all, I know you will get her one way or another, and once she is mine I'll be happy, her being around would mean I wouldn't worry or daydream about her constantly as she would be near me constantly! Besides, I could always get her for you if you would like, I take the blame and not you if something goes wrong. And isn't this fine? I'm only doing what I desire most, and that pleases the Prince, right? Anyway, I know I need her and I know I'll get her sooner or later, don't worry about me! I'll be fine and I'll still be your loyal and diligent servant even when I get her."
>>
>>2735363
You are very eager about this

How were you planning on "getting" her I am curious
>>
>>2735370

"I know I am, I need Catalina after all. How I plan on getting her is simple, I either wait for you to get her for me, or I get her myself, or get someone else to get her for me. Really, it doesn't matter as the end result will all be the same, me and Catalina happily together in your service, and each others, praising the wonderful prince while we do so."
>>
>>2735376
But how would you plan to get her yourself?
>>
>>2735377

"Depends on the situation. Hopefully, I could convince her how terrible of a master seven is, or make her realize how much she loves me and how much I love her. Or maybe, I'll need to remove seven from the picture in one way or another, really, I doubt it would come to that though, you will get her in the end anyway, I know you will, because you are the best master on this world, maybe even in the entire galaxy, excluding the prince, of course."
>>
>>2735379
> he scratch her between the ears really hard

Oh sweetie you are my favourite plaything and you know that

If you want her you should try to keep up regular contact as you don't want her to forget about you now do you?

Meanwhile I will try to get her through the proper means. if you think you have an opportunity I think you should take it
>>
>>2735385

She relaxes quite a bit as Jaan can feel a bit of skin breaking and a feeling of blood starting to coat his fingers. Brunhilde seemed happy at this moment at the very least, despite what happened. "I'm glad I could be considered such! I'm sure you would love Catalina even more though, she is just so much better in every single way, both body and mind, though especially in body...and maybe she could do with some therapy of sorts so her mind is back to mostly normal, but that's besides the point. But of course I will keep in contact with her, I would hate to be kept from her for long after all...and don't worry, I'm sure a few opportunity's will arise..."
>>
>>2735387
> he tastes the blood before continuing to scratch

I might ask my new friend for help

> after a few seconds just enjoying the taste

You taste as good as I remember sweetie
>>
>>2735395

She seems to be enjoying this more then most other times you have scratched her head, most likely due to the pain all things considered. "I'm sure your knew friend, whoever they are will prove to be useful, I'm sure they would be able to make all of Catalina's and my own problems disappear...possibly along with seven."
>>
>>2735412
Sweetie she is not that good I can promise you

> with his empty handed he touch the wound she got previously from Catalina

Oh I hope it's not deep. I would hate it if you were scared
>>
>>2735415

"Alright, if you say so Jaan." She would seem to be even more relaxed when Jaan touched the wound, almost as if she could dose off into sleep. "Its fine, even if I was scared, the scarring could fade in time. Besides, how will I be able to feel pain without a few wounds like this? If I was to worry about anything though, it would be the burn wounds I got a while ago from those Khornates...I think that was when they attacked you, yeah, thats when I got those...though, they healed by now, I think one of the princes servants helped me heal that, but the memory is hazy." She would say before resting her head on the desk.
>>
>>2735419
I'm currently not doing anything do you have any ideas for a activity

> he reach into a drawer taking some papers and pencils in there there is also a woden carving of some sort of animal
>>
>>2735420

"Yes, have you considered trying to find pleasure in pain? If you would like I could help you in that regard, but it might not feel too good for the first few minutes, but once you start to feel it, its amazing. Otherwise, I wouldn't mind a nap."
>>
>>2735422
No I would actually not want that as feeling pain is something I would not want to do

> he nods

Go take a nap sweetie ill call for you if I need you

> he starts to draw something
>>
>>2735447
>hours later, Jaan finds a note slipped through his door
>it’s an invite to a chess game, a little ways from the camp
>it’s from O7
>>
>>2735606
> he aproach the sight flying surveying the are if there are any suprises there
>>
>>2735813
>you see a table with two chairs
>opposite to you is O7, tossing a grenade between his hands
>on each side of the table is a goblet filled with what you can only assume is wine
>in the centre, a chess board
>O7 is playing white, and has already moved his pawn

>if he has seen you, he isn’t letting it on
>>
>>2735823
> Jaan lands behind him

So why have you draged me all the way out here?
>>
>>2735839
Because Jaan, you have an issue, and so we will deal with it.

You clearly can’t leave well enough alone, and so to protect my property we’ll have a game.

Sit, please. The move is yours.
