Ten years ago, the warrior race known as the Saiyans were annexed into Emperor Freeza’s army. Since that fateful day, the Saiyans have earned the title of warrior race as Freeza’s soldiers, leading the charge onto hundreds of worlds and facing down all who oppose Lord Freeza’s rule. As mighty conquerors crushing all resistance, the Saiyans have earned their reputation as Freeza’s most powerful subjects.

The larger than life tales of the Super Saiyans, especially, have spread to every corner of the civilized universe. Epics of the golden warrior or warriors facing down demons, wizards, assassins, armies, champions, and even surviving one on one with Freeza himself are told universe-wide. The mere mention of Super Saiyans inspires awe, admiration, jealousy, or fear, depending on who you ask. This has now lead to the Covenant assembling a mighty army, set to march forward and exterminate the Saiyans once and for all in less than a year and a half’s time. Fewer than two dozen Saiyans are currently aware of the impending attack, and your actions from this point forward could either save the Saiyan race, or doom them all.

Welcome to Saiyan Conqueror Quest, currently Age 741, the ten-year anniversary of the Saiyans joining the PTO. You the players control Karn, a Saiyan Berserker with a base powerlevel of 725,037, a general in Lord Freeza’s army, mate to Meloka, father of Chaya, Chilli and Broly(adoptive), and an inspiration to both the other Saiyans and the rest of the PTO. Your current team is:

Meloka-Blaster, 574,231

Last time on Saiyan Conqueror Quest:

Karn and Meloka’s wedding was officiated by Freeza himself, the Ginyus helping to prepare both of you and get you suited up. The ceremony goes off without a hitch, you and Meloka becoming wed for the Saiyans, the PTO, and everyone across the universe watching Vox broadcasting to see. However, once the ceremony is complete there’s a boom in the distance, you and Meloka taking off to investigate.

Arriving on the scene you encountered Time Patroller Trunks yet again, and after you and Meloka defeat him and Hyoka you watch Future Chaya’s climactic battle with Ace, resulting in another win for your time traveling daughter. The Supreme Kai of Time Chronoa then came down herself, threatening to erase the entire timeline if Ace wasn’t returned to her. After another mysterious yet familiar time traveler shows up and negotiates between everyone, Chronoa gives your future daughter and Towa a few hours peace here in exchange for her warrior and not obliterating your timeline. As we rejoin Karn, Freeza and several friends and allies have all arrived on the scene.

“What hap.... Who are all of you?” Freeza asks, landing beside you as everyone else descends towards you warily as well.
“Oh, right, most of you haven’t met.” you say, gesturing towards Towa, then Mira, then Future Chaya. “Everyone, this is Princess Towa of the demon realm, her champion Mira, and last, but certainly not least, my daughter Chaya.”

“But I’m Chaya!” your daughter says as she runs out of the crowd, still wearing her flowergirl dress. She runs up but stops a few feet short of Future Chaya, looking her up and down.
“Oh my god. Was, was I always-“ Future Chaya says, taking a knee and looking Chaya in the eyes, then wrapping her in a bear hug. “This adorable?!”
“Hahaha, of course.” you say, walking over as the Chayas seperate a bit, the elder no longer squeezing her quite as close. “Kiddo, meet you, from the future.”
“The future? You’re me?!” Chaya asks, looking to her future self with amazement in her eyes. “Wooooow!!”

As your daughters begin to talk amongst herself you look around, seeing everyone seemingly starting to relax a bit around the three newcomers. But what catches your attention most is-

Well?
>Chayas’ conversation
>Vegeta blushing a bit looking to Future Chaya
>Broly and Chilli looking at Future Chaya in awe
>Bardock staring down Mira. Hard.
>Ubo trying to challenge Mira

Assuming the Vegeta blush option is to support him getting with Chaya in the future, Turles option is to see him and Blackfire together in-character, and Raven with Towa is more Trigon backstory and Raven learning more.
Curious why Bardock would look at Mira like that. He's not gonna get masked or anything like canon, so why?

“So you’re this ‘Towa’ I’ve heard so much about?” Freeza says, walking casually up to her. He then crosses his right arm across his chest and bows slightly-mockingly, then continues. “Princess Towa, I am Lo-“
“Oh, I’m well aware of who you are, ‘Lord’ Freeza.” she says, also slightly mocking him back. You notice Freeza’s eye slightly twitch, but he easily keeps his composure.
“From what I hear, you’ve kept some of my most talented officers alive, one of whom is a dear friend to me.” Freeza states. “It would seem that I’m now considerably in your debt.”
“Do not be mistaken, I did not save them for you, nor for pity or charity’s sake.” Towa replies, smiling. “Karn agreed to the deal.”

“Regardless of the circumstances, he has come to have both of us as his superiors.” Freeza states, you sensing he’s up to something. “Should we not also have an agreeable accord between us as well? I’m well aware of some of your power, it was flowing through both Karn and Meloka earlier, was it not?”
“Oh, that?” she asks, then blinks over to you and holds up your right hand. When she touches you, her seal again lights up, Freeza looking to it curiously. “This power I’ve bestowed upon him is energy straight from the Demon Realm, I granted him this power both for him to aid me, and protect himself from others who would use travel time against me.”
“Interesting.” Freeza says as he examines the seal a little longer, then turns back to the demon princess. “And is this a power you’re willing to bestow unto others as well?”
“If you’re asking for yourself, the answer is no.” she says, somewhat curtly. “You’re not much different than most every other Freeza across endless timelines. However...”

As she says this, she walks up to Freeza, a crystal ball in her hand, Freeza gazing into it for a few moments.

“I-Is that...?” Freeza mutters, shocked.
“Indeed.” Towa says smugly. “You could be so much more, so much stronger. Prove to me you’re worth investing my time in, and I’ll certainly aid you.”
“We’re in agreement then.” Freeza says, holding out his hand. Towa smiles and takes it, you seeing the whispers of the seal forming on the back of Freeza’s hand. When she pulls away, it fades, Freeza none the wiser.

“Mira.” Towa says, turning to her giant. You see the giant walk over to her, ignoring everyone else.
“Yes, Mistress?” he asks.
“We’re leaving.” she says, then turns to Future Chaya. “I’ll send Churai to pick you up.”
“Okay!” your future daughter says, waving to the two as they vanish.
“Well, this has certainly been an interesting day.” Freeza says. “Let us return to the celebration, the Ginyu Force should have everything prepared for the reception.”

With that he takes off, everyone following him back to his ship. When you get there, however, nothing looks the same.

What had once been the site of the wedding ceremony has been transformed, now instead of rows of chairs they’re all set around circular or rectangular tables, where the altar was is now one long table, and across from it surrounded by the other tables is a white, smooth floor that wasn’t there before. You all look curiously on except Freeza, who flies down to speak with Ginyu. You all look around curiously, Burter rushing up to you all.

“What happened?” he asks, then turns to you specifically. “And where’s your coat?”
“Huh?” you ask, only then realizing you’d left it behind. “Oh, I’d taken it off before the fight, I must have left it ou-“

Before you can finish the sentence, Burter’s gone, reappearing a few seconds later holding both your coat and the other part of Meloka’s dress she’d tossed aside as well.

“Here.” he says, holding them out to each of you.
“Thanks Burter.” you say, shrugging the coat on then reaching into the pocket to check on the Bloodstone. When your finger touches it, you can’t sense any of that demonic energy you’d sensed before, but the energy you had stockpiled seems much less than before. You can’t dwell on this mystery long, however, as Ginyu walks up just as Meloka reassembles her dress.
“Good to see you both back and in one piece.” he says, then spots Future Chaya. “Are you the wedding crasher?”
“What? No, I just came to see my dad and mom get married.” Future Chaya says, Ginyu’s eyes slightly bugging out. Chaya then pops up from behind her, sitting on her future self’s shoulder.
“She’s me from the future! Isn’t that cool?!”

Ginyu looks confused back to you and Meloka, you just nodding. He looks extremely uncomfortable for a moment but gathers his composure, turning back to your future daughter.

“Well, we’re glad you could make it.” he tells her, then turns back to the two of you. “And you’re just in time, its time for your dance you two.”

It's fun imagining who would ask who for dances. Dodoria asking the hunk Ubo for a dance only for a pouting Raven to intervene. Zarbon asking Nappa to dance because Nappa seems lonely, and then they talk about their offscreen girlfriends. Guldo already asked Towa earlier with a note in time-stop zone, Mira punched him in the face.

“C’mon Meloka, let’s do it.” you say, grabbing her by the hand and pulling her out onto the center of the dance floor. You see her eyes light up, a big smile on her face as the Ginyu Force all assemble by the band, all now having microphones in hand and ready to sing.
“Alright men, let’s do it.” Ginyu says.
“Yes sir!” they all say in unison, the song beginning.

https://youtube.com/watch?v=BTCfQ6Bb8QE

As the music begins, Ginyu also telepathically walks you both through the steps of the dance, you both picking it up quickly. As you both dance, however, you don’t keep to the ground, the two of you taking to the air. You decide to change a few of the moves, no longer restrained to two dimensional movement and adding a few Su Ma directional movements in. You both begin turning and twisting through the air as you move, really getting into it. And before too long, the song ends, the audience bursting into cheers. You both touch back to the ground, Ginyu speaking up.

“And now for the second dance.” he says, both your children all stepping forward. “Time for the family dance.”

Future Chaya comes up to you while Broly and Chilli both go to Meloka. Chaya looks alittle put-out by your future self taking the dance, Freeza walking up to her back in his first form and offers to dance with her. Her eyes light up, taking emperor Freeza’s hand and dances with him. The three groups all dance together to the music. Once the second song’s over, you and Meloka both sit at the long table, all your children around you all as others begin dancing as well. You all eat and enjoy the festivities, the party soon slowing down. Once it’s ended, your children all having fallen asleep at the table and Future Chaya having returned home, Freeza walking up to you both.

“I hope you both have rather enjoyed this.” Freeza says, smiling at you both as the Ginyu Force begin breaking down the festivities. “But there’s one last gift from me for you both, if you’d both come with me.”

You look to Meloka, then both follow along after Freeza. He leads you around behind his ship, you both following him and coming across an Attack Pod. But it looks, well different.

“What’s this?” you ask, looking at the much larger Attack Pod.
“The honeymoon suite.” Freeza says with a chuckle, opening it up. You look around inside it, Meloka suddenly pushing you inside. You flop into the seat inside, Meloka climbing on top of you as the door shuts behind her. You feel the ship take off into the air, Meloka’s face right next to your ear.

“Well, we’re finally sharing a pod.” she whispers in your ear, you chuckling a bit as you wrap your arms around her, enjoying the night alone with her.

The next morning, well after your pod crashed back down to the Guardian’s island, you both get out and stretch, leaving your wedding clothes inside the pod. You both make your way back onto your ship, getting in the showers and freshening up. You both finish showering and get dressed back into your training clothes, sensing Freeza slowly approaching your ship. You both step outside the ship, Freeza touching down before the ramp.

“Good morning Karn, Meloka.” he says, smiling at you both. “It seems you both rather enjoyed my little gift. But now my spy tells me we have only three months until the Covenant’s attack begins. So, General Karn, shall we begin training?”

“Yeah, let’s get started.” you say, leading Freeza inside. Meloka tells you she’ll be joining later, still exhausted from the demonic form and last night’s activities. You lead First Form Freeza inside to your Gravtiy Chamber, walking over to the controls.
“So, Karn, how intense have you gotten this chamber to go?” Freeza asks, chuckling a bit to himself. “Ten times? Twenty times? Th-“

He’s interrupted as you throw the switch, the 50x New Salda gravity slamming into him. You take it easily, having trained at this level frequently. However your left arm strains, your Katchin wedding band now quite heavy. Looking over to Freeza, you see he’s now laying face-down on the ground.

“Hey, Lord Freeza, you alright?” you ask, walking over to him. “Need me to turn the gravity down a bi-?”
“Absolutely not!” he shouts, turning his head to glare at you, veins bulging from his forehead. “If you can take it, then so can I!”

You watch in amazement as, struggling and straining, Freeza manages to rise to his feet, a viscous snarl on his face.

“Haaa haaa haaaa. I will not. Let this. Beat me!” he declares, panting from the strain. “So, Karn, what’s first?”
“Since its your first day, we’ll start you at 100 push-ups, sit-ups, and we’ll go from there.” you tell him.
“The hell’s a push-up?” he asks, looking at you confused. This is going to be a loooong day.

“I-I did it.” Freeza pants some time later, laying exhausted on his back. He finally finished the one hundred push-ups and sit-ups, collapsing on his back.
“Not bad, Lord Freeza.” you say, still doing your vertical pushups. It took him around an hour-ish to get that done, you working through your early morning workout and moving onto something a bit more straining. “Ready to move onto the next part?”
“N-Next part?!” Freeza asks, stunned. “The-There’s more?”
“Of course, Lord Freeza.” you say. “That was barely a warmup. The real workout starts now!”
“What kind of hell have I signed up for?” Freeza mutters, struggling and pushing himself back upright.

That first day, you show Freeza your entire workout, the emperor struggling through it. However, he’d refused to surrender, pushing through the physical tasks you’d set before him. At the end of the first day, he’s completely exhausted, floating uneasily up into the sky to

“You know, you can stay here, right?” you ask him, Freeza turning back to look at you shocked. He accepts, sleeping in one of the several unused bedrooms on the ship. The next day you wake up well-rested, diving back into your training. But training Freeza isn’t all you spend your time doing.

You spend your time pushing your body harder in the 50x gravity as well, using the heavy weights you have to somewhat balance the weight of your arms with your new wedding ring weighing heavy on your hand. You push yourself further each day, Freeza also struggling alongside you for some of it. After the first week, having fully recovered from using that demonic form again, Meloka joins you both for training with her own idea.

“Hey boys, miss me?” she asks, walking in in her training uniform as well.
“Hey Meloka, finally up for it?” you ask her as you and Freeza keep too it, her stretching out in the 50x gravity.
“Yeah, and I had an idea.” she says as she keeps stretching. “The Arbiter uses those Energy Swords, right? Lord Freeza, I think its time you learned how we make our Energy Blades as well.”
“Very well.” he says, pushing himself up off the ground much more quickly than he had been a week before. You and Meloka walk him through creating an Energy Blade, the emperor easily making it on his first attempt. He looks at the blade extending from his hand, turning it over curiously. “Hmm, rather straightforward, but it could have its uses.”

“Now, Lord Freeza.” she says with a smile a few shades more sinister than usual, drawing one of her Energy Blades as well. “Let’s show you how to use it!”

She then wordlessly leaps forward and swings at him, Freeza exhaustedly pulling his blade up to intercept hers. He then pushes her back and stabs at her, Meloka twisting past it with the Su Ma and bringing her blade to his neck, stopping before cutting him. His eyes widen in surprise, expression quickly returning to normal-ish, eyes narrowing.

“And you say this Arbiter defeated the both of you?” he says as she backs off of him, the two deactivating their blades. “Well, let us see just how I stack up! SHAAAAAAAAA!!!”

Freeza explodes into his final form, you and Meloka both blasting into your Ascended Super Saiyan forms. You both stand crackling before your emperor, staring him down as he spreads his arms wide.

Well, how will you do this?

Oh yeah, as a side note anons, why haven’t we used telepathy as a mode of attack? Obviously it can’t literally harm them, but it seems we can chat with anyone we’ve met before, and unless they themselves are telepathic they can’t really do much about it. So why don’t we just beam a loud alarm klaxon or car horn or finger nails on a chalkboard or Justin Bieber songs or something equally annoying into everyone we fight’s minds while we’re engaging them? It seems like it’d probably completely throw most enemies off their game.

“Well?” he asks. “You both faced him together, let’s see how I compare.”
“Alright let’s go!” you say, drawing your Super Energy Blade as Meloka draws her twin blades. Freeza flares his aura wild around himself, his body expanding out and bulking up as his powerlevel explodes. He sighs out the creates twin blades as well, keeping them spread wide, his tail twitching in excitement.
“This is my power at 100%!” he says, panting a bit from going all-out. “Let’s go!”

“Haaaaaa!!”
“Hyaaaaa!!”
“Rrraaaaa!!”

https://youtube.com/watch?v=K329JTZ4gqg

The three of you roar out as you all charge forward, you taking Freeza head-on. Your Super Energy Blade slams into Freeza’s right handed blade, Meloka flipping over him and stabbing at his neck. Freeza swats her arm aside with her tail, her blade narrowly missing his neck. She follows up wjth a stab from her other blade, Freeza bringing his left blade up and blocking her follow up attack as well. He knocks the two of you back, repositioning himself so he isn’t surrounded. You and Meloka charge him again, Freeza much more hesitant to fight surrounded than the Arbiter was. He keeps you both to the same side as much as he can, avoiding getting surrounded by you both. Despite Meloka’s best attempts, she can’f flank him, Freeza staying one step ahead of the both of you. But soon, the battle changes. You and Meloka both feel it, after about a minute of intense combat Freeza’s power begins dropping like a stone in a pond. You both back off of him, Freeza deactivating his blades and dropping to a knee, panting heavily.

“I...I’m....Not...Do-“ he says, before reverting back to his usual final form and falling forward, unconscious. You turn the Gravity Chamber off, carrying Freeza back to his room on your ship and putting him in his bed. The next day you pick back up where you’d left off, getting him to again push himself in the 50x gravity of the chamber then work with his Energy Blade. He’d picked up making it easily, and you’re amazed with how quickly he picked up the movements of the Su Ma as well. His explanation was very him as well, “Of course. I am a prodigy, after all.”

As the days turn to weeks, your training with Freeza and Meloka continues. Day after day your schedule is the same: wake up, breakfast with Meloka, Chaya, Chilli, and Broly, then sending the kids off to train with the Guardian while you train Freeza. With each day the Emperor of the Universe continues to improve, you feeling a noticable growth in his strength. But after the short battle you’d had with him and Meloka, you focused more on improving both his and your stamina and technique with the blade rather than raw power. Two months into your training, however, New Salda receives a visit from some special guests.

“HAAAAA!!” Freeza shouts, punching at you in his first form. You barely duck aside the attack, punching at him with the heavy weights in your hand. He knocks your hand aside, twisting and catching you with his tail and knocking you to the ground.
“Hahaha that’s impressive.” you say, pushing yourself back upright. “I’ve never seen anyone adjust to the intense gravity this quickly.”
“Ohoho you flatter me.” he says, holding a hand down. You take it and Freeza pulls you to your feet, you picking up your weights to resume the 50x gravity sparring match, but before you can resume you sense a powerful presence. Several, no, hundreds of powerful ki are rapidly approaching New Salda!

“Shit, its happening already?!” you shout, dropping the weights and deactivating the chamber, flashing up to a Super Saiyan before the weights even hit the ground. “C’mon Lord Freeza, we gotta move now!”
“I don’t take orders from you!” Freeza shouts as his power skyrockets, the joke you’d shared over the past two months not making you laugh this time. Meloka’s already outside, having been with the kids, you sensing her blasting towards King Vegeta where they’re all headed. You both exit the chamber and blast off towards the mainland as well, you sensing something different. This isn’t a Covenant attack, this is something different. But what is it? You both arrive back to the mainland as those powers touch down, you getting a first good look at them.

You see several hundred orange-skinned, redheaded aliens all standing at attention, two clearly leading them. One’s a rather large man, the other a smaller female. You also see King Vegeta, Meloka, Nappa, Turles, and Komand’r are all there’s to greet them, as well as the Saiyan Royal Guard backing up Vegeta.

“Greetings, Tamaraneans.” you say, dropping from the sky and landing just behind King Vegeta, who you notice is also a Super Saiyan.
“Welcome to New Salda.” Freeza says, landing in front of Vegeta in his final form. “I am Emperor Freeza, of the PTO. What brings you here to this world?”
“I am Princess Koriand’r of- SISTER!!” the female Tamaranean suddenly shouts, flying over to Komand’r and wrapping her in a bear hug. “I am ever so glad to see that you are safe! I headed right here when you’d told me what happened!”
“Good to see you too.” Komand’r says, akwardly patting her sister’s back. You look to Freeza, seeing his eye twitch slightly at being ignored. “And you really did? You brought the Guard all the way out here with you?”
“Of course!” she says excitedly, then seems to remember herself. She then turns back to Freeza then bows. “Forgive me, I meant no offense. I have been overcome with worry about my sister, seeing her alive has been such a relief.”

“It’s quite alright.” Freeza says nonchalantly, shrugging off her blatant disrespect. It seems his time around you may have softened him up a bit, the emperor hardly reacting to it. She then turns back to you, walking up and looking you over curiously. “Umm, what are you doing?”
“You’re the one!” she says excitedly, grabbing you by the front of your training uniform and lifting you into the air with a spin. “You’re the one who fought with my sister, right?”
“Uhh, yeah?” you reply, confused. What’s going on here?
“You gotta fight me next!” she says excitedly, eyes and hands glowing green as she releases you, taking a stance similar to her sisters. “Show me what you’ve got!”

Good run like usual, I don't get where the 100 went though
>>
>>2675595
Is it wrong that I want Frieza to step in and take a casual fight for once? One where he doesn't end up killing his opponent. It doesn't count when he spars with Karn and Co. because we're special. Suck it everyone else. It'd also let him take out whatever small amount of irritation he is repressing on her. Like a good tyrant should.
>>
>>2675608
>whenever we turn around our 'wife' is gonna be asserting dominance at this rate
Koriand’r heard from her sister about you. And she definitely heard about Meloka and how she should absolutely not fight her.
>Good run like usual, I don't get where the 100 went though
Freeza has been very, very quick to pick up a certain aspect of his training.

>Is it wrong that I want Frieza to step in and take a casual fight for once?

Pffft just don't aim for the heart or the head, we have healing pods. EZ. Not like you need both lungs. Both kidneys. Both stomachs. Or even both livers. You don't even need all seven sets of intestines. Healing pods are dope.
>>
>>2675657
Kek, i wouldn't trust ol' freezypop to holy back properly just yet, given his history. He's bad at gauging that kind of thing, it seems.

Karn on the other hand is *really* good and horrifically maiming an opponent without outright killing him.
Which reminds me, starfire should be weaker than blackfire if we're going by the CN animation, and doesn't even have that little rock blackfire uses, which means karn should manhandle her shortly.
What should we use to beat her without killing her? It's been a while since karn has actually used his fists instead of some sort of instant-murder attack. Says a bit about what his life is like now.
>>
>>2675956
I say this because... well, starfire has a different feel to her than most of our opponents.
She feels more like chaya to me than kommand'r or some horrific space monster, more innocent and squishy, so i don't want to get super brutal and fill her full of holes for no reason.

Maybe su ma grappling would be enough? just dislocate all her limbs so she can't fight?
Or a good forceful palm to the face, drive her head deep down into the ground until she loses conciousness?
>>
>>2675966
I guess we could also revert to some older stuff, like the grinder. Or give her an energy bomb to the stomach. I've also always kind of wanted to see karn grab someone by both arms, pull back as hard as he can and combine that momentum with driving his knee into their gut, then headbutting them into the ground.
Unfortunately there's not a lot of opponents with enough of a strength disparity for him to do that without putting himself at risk, and not a lot of situations where he's allowed to just play around like that without putting others at risk. This is one of those times, though.
>>
>Fighting Starfire
At this point she shouldn't be a problem to us. Hell I think even at the lowest form of Super Saiyan we're more than twice her strength.
>>
>>2676121
Maybe use FSSJ? That will probably bring us to a comparable level of strength, if he power level’s anything like that of Komandr’s.

“I don’t see a problem with that.” you say, dropping into your stance. “What’s your name again?”
“Oh sister dear, you’d better be on your guard.” Komand’r says with a chuckle, floating up to her. “He’s even stronger than me. And you’ve never beaten me, little Kori.”

“Bring it!” you declare, gesturing with your left hand for her to come at you. She takes the offer, blasting headlong toward you and firing blasts from each hand alternating. You deflect blast after blast with your left hand, not bothering to use both hands for this level of attack. She rushes as she continually fires at you, closing the gap rapidly. Once she closes the distance she quits firing, rearing back and punches at you with a heavy right. With your left forearm you knock her attack aside, leaning back past her kick then catching her backhand easily. She backflips to try and kick you in the chin, you simply releasing her fist and leaning back to avoid her attack.

Reorienting herself, Koriand’r charges again, throwing punch after punch at your chest and head. But she’s simply too slow, you deflecting her attacks with ease. So you decide to make yourself harder for her to hit, blocking her next strike and twisting around behind her as her momentum carries her forward. She turns to you confused, again attacking you. This time however, she can’t keep up an assault, you blocking her attacks and twisting or flipping around her, forcing her to constantly reorient herself on you.

“Stand still and let me hit you!” she shouts, pulling back her fist shrouded in glowing green energy. She punches directly at your head, you accepting her challenge and at the last moment bringing your hand up, her attack exploding against your palm and kicking up a cloud of smoke. It clears quickly, you hearing the Tamaraneans gasping in surprise as they all see you’d caught her fist.

“How did you do that?” she asks, backing up warily. “No one has ever blocked that punch before!”

“How?” you ask, gathering your ki into your right hand. “Its simple really. I can do that too, that’s one of my attacks.”

Before she can react, you’d finished gathering your power, dashing forward to her and closing the distance near-instantly.

“Wha-?!” she starts to say before you smirk at her then slam your Energy Punch into her gut. Your attack explodes, blasting her back and away from you. She screams out in pain, you watching as she tumbles uncontrollably through the air, body smoking from your attack. After a few moments she drops from the air to the ground, landing with a distant thud. A few moments go by, then you can see a green streak rising up from the crater she’d made when she landed. She flies back up to you, panting a bit and holding her stomach but not seeming ready to quit in the least.

“Tha-That was most impressive.” she says, pulling her arms back up into a tight defensive stance. “I have never been hit so hard in my entire life, it is no wonder you were capable of defeating my older sister. But, I will not be giving up just yet!”

As she says this her eyes begin glowing green again, green spheres of her ki gathering into her fists. Seems she hasn’t had enough just yet.

What? No, that’s a horrible idea. Forcing her to train under us because she lost a fight would be a diplomatic nightmare for Freeza to deal with. Maybe after we’ve beaten the stuffing out of her, we can cordially offer her (And her sister) the opportunity to train under us, but she’s the princess of another powerful galactic empire, we can’t just force her to train under us if she loses this battle.

Yeah, and then offer her the opportunity to train as our disciple, not force her to do it. There’s hundreds of Tamaraneans here right now, with power levels in the millions. If we tried to pull that, there’s a decent chance they’d attack us, and we’ve be even more screwed when the Covenant arrived.

As it turns out she can fly very well.

“Then let’s kick this up a notch!” you shout, your aura flaring as you gather your ki into both hands. You then toss the powerful ball of ki in your right hand at her, it splitting into a few dozen smaller blasts. You see her eyes widen in surprise for just a moment before she moves, blasting up into the air at an angle to escape the blasts. As soon as you see her take off, smirking a bit to yourself. Got her now. “HAAAA!!”

With that shout you also fired your second Scattershot directly into her escape path, blasts fillig the sky. She doesn’t seem to panic, however, simply blasting down the ones in her way. With her distracted, you easily fly up ahead of where she’ll be, ready to intercept. As she blasts the last one from out of her way, flying through the ensuing smoke cloud, she sees you there waiting for her. Her eyes widen in surprise, trying to blast you with the energy in her right hand, but you’re too fast. You close the last few feet in a blur, swatting aside her attack with your left then catch her jaw with a hard right hook, sending the Tamaranean princess spinning. You dash towards the ground, out of her line of sight as she tries to reorient herself, coming up unseen behind her. She looks around for a moment to try to find you, but its too late. She can’t escape now.

“Where have you go-!” she says, turning around just in time to take a heavy punch to the gut. You hear her wheeze out as the wind leaves her body, pulling your fist back as her hands go to her gut. You then raise both hands overhead and lace your fingers together, slamming both fists down hard on the back of her head and sending her towards the ground. Before she can crash, however, you dash to her, grabbing her by the face. Holding her, you dash even faster towards the ground, holding her back behind you as you charge. A dozen or so feet above the ground you stop, tossing the winded princess into the ground. She hits with a mighty crash, you shielding your face from the debris kicked up. You wait where you are for the dust to clear, waiting to see if she’ll get back up. You remain in the air for over a minute, the dust finally settling and letting everyone see the results. She’s somehow standing!

“No-Not yet!” she says, taking an unsteady step forward, clearly dazed. “I will, not, accept, de-“

With that she falls to the ground face-first, completely spent.

“Well, that was a rather novel display.” Freeza says, he and the large Tamaranean man walking over to you as you touch down beside Koriand’r. “She didn’t put up much of a fight though.”
“How dare you!” the large man declares, taking an aggressive step towards Freeza. “How dare you speak such disrespect towards the princess!”

“Its not disrespect, its the truth.” you say, turning to face the larger Tamaranean man. “This isn’t even my final form.”
“Wait, what?” he asks, turning to you. “What did you say?”
“Ohohoho, didn’t you know?” Freeza asks him as Komand’r lands by the crater as well. “Karn has one more form beyond this, he’s only at half his full power.”
“Half?!” he asks astounded, Komand’r nodding to him and jumping in.
“Yeah, when he goes full power there’s this lightning that comes to life around him.” she says, turning to you. “C’mon Karn, whip it out! Show off your true power!”
“Nah, maybe some other time.” you say, picking the unconscious Koriand’r up behind her knees and shoulders, lifting off into the air.
“Hold on! You can’t just-!” the large Tamaranean shouts, you ignoring him and carrying Koriand’r off. Its a short flight to your ship, you entrusting her care to Dr. White and Mouse. That done, you get back to your training, Freeza rejoining you after an hour or so. You finish up your training that day without further interruptions and go to bed.

The next morning, however, things got much more interesting.

“Good morning Karn. Meloka.” Freeza says, stopping you both before you go inside the Gravity Chamber. You notice he’s again using his chair, which he hadn’t been using since his training started. “Not yet. We have business to attend to first.”
“Business?” you ask, Freeza leading you and Meloka back to the mainland. He leads you to an unassuming building, but from the powerlevels you can sense inside this is going to be an important meeting. The door opens as the three of you touch down, Freeza leading the way inside. You see the Ginyu Force lined up on one wall, Vegeta and Nappa both sitting at the table. You see the two Tamaranean princesses sitting as well, the large Tamaranean there as well. You notice he has a scar over his right eye as you sit to Freeza’s right, Meloka sitting to yours. Vegeta is to Freeza’s left, Nappa to the king’s left.

“Is this everyone?” Komand’r asks impatiently.
“Indeed.” Freeza says. “Let us begin this meeting to determine our strategy for defeating the Covenant.”

“Strategy?” Komand’r asks him a bit derisively. “Who needs a strategy to beat such weaklings?”
“Perhaps if you’d had a proper strategy, they wouldn’t have taken Planet Azar from you.” he replies cooly, you seeing her eyes begin glowing. The large Tamaranean puts a hand on her shoulder, she turns and glares at him a moment then relents, calming down. “However, even with a strategy, overcoming the Arbiter was simply beyond your ability.”
“What’s an Arbiter?” the large Tamaranean asks, confused.
“That’s the one who nearly killed me, Galfore.” Komand’r says, eyes glowing with energy again with her anger. You see his expression darken at her words, his eyes glowing slightly red as well. “And as much as I hate to admit it, he’s right. The Arbiter is more than we can handle. Even Karn and Meloka here couldn’t take him together.”
“We couldn’t take him, back then.” Meloka says confidently, her teeth bared in an angry snarl. “But when he lands on New Salda, he’s not leaving here alive.”

“Indeed.” Freeza says with a smirk. “This battle must not only be a victory for our new alliance. This must be a crushing, overwhelming victory! There cannot be any doubt as to who the winner of this coming battle is. This is the moment we shall show the universe who is the strongest!”

As Freeza says this, you all suddenly sense a massive powerlevel with a few weaker ones appearing over New Salda. You all rush out immediately, you, Meloka, Vegeta, and Nappa all transforming up into Super Saiyans. But after a moment, Freeza sighs out, then becomes tense in a different way. You look over at Freeza as he sighs out, confused.

“Lord Freeza?” you ask, confused, seeing him staring up at something. Following his gaze, you see a ship identical to Freeza’s slowly dropping towards you all. It lands in the clearing before your all, the ramp going down and three strange aliens walking down to greet you all. But the say nothing, moving aside as an honor guard for their leader. He floats down the ramp in an identical chair to Freeza’s, the leader himself looking quite familiar. Freeza floats in his chair ahead of you all, staring down the newcomer.

“Cooler.” Freeza says.
“Little brother.” Cooler says, looking smugly. Wait, little brother?

I'm afraid I'm not very good at this whole "writing" thing. Can't commas be used to break up runoff sentences? I know at the very least you can you them before a title or name. Or is that only at the end of a sentence? I have yet to master the colon and semicolon.
>>
>>2678519
>Can't commas be used to break up runoff sentences?
Yes they can, but what you were doing was improper use of the Oxford comma.
The Oxford comma is used when multiple subjects are listed, so as to avoid any confusion.
It also helps in better representing the cadence of casual speech.
Cooler's dialogue was fine, but Frieza's needs one of two changes.
Dropping the second comma or replacing it with a period.

I have an idea.

"Rods from God" was a concept that revolved around putting gigantic tungsten rods into orbit around earth, and then dropping them from orbit onto targets on the surface.
Because these heavy tungsten rods would hit the ground at something like mach 20, they would impart the power of a low-yield nuclear weapon upon their target, a bunker buster with the power of an atom bomb.

So here's the idea.

The idea is that you take these rocks, pull them up to the highest possible height and then drop them, and accelerate them using rockets or small FTL devices to the highest possible speeds you can manage.
You can't just drop them, it would take years for them to reach new salda through gravity alone.
They'll still gain all the speed of falling towards new salda's star for a month straight, but that won't be as significant as boosting it with a rocket proper since there just isn't enough time.

All it takes is some (relatively) simple math to line up their trajectory with new salda's location on the day of the covenant fleet's invasion, and some high precision math which can be adjusted on the fly by onboard flight/targeting computers to turn these asteroids into balls of death that explode into plasma with enough force to light up the sky of new salda during daytime, each.

These asteroids would just need to get relatively close, and then additional rockets would be fired from relatively far back to adjust their course to collide with the covenant ships, each with enough kinetic energy to kill a planet, in theory.

It'll be inaccurate to a degree, yes, which is why you make up for it with numbers. Like a machine gun of ridiculous scale.
If one or two of these hit a covenant warship, it'll turn into an expanding ball of plasma, regardless of whatever sort of shielding it might have.

It would also be possible to fit the asteroids with explosives, turning them into flak once their collision course is determined, essentially ensuring at least a partial hit.
>>
>>2679025
The only problem is the Covie ships have guns. They'd just shoot them down. There isn't that much to hide behind in space and even where there is somewhere to hide everything is moving out of the way. Getting close would be the biggest problem. If they saw it coming they'd just start launching missiles at them or change course around the other side of a star or planet when they were nearing.

The only reason rods from god work is because they are shot towards the Earth and they are already very, very close.
>>
>>2679025
I would actually highly suggest fitting them all with explosives, in case something goes horribly awry and one of them heads straight for the planet.
The bombs should be hard-coded to explode well before they reach new salda, something that can't just be hacked if they're discovered.

If the asteroids are fragmented into pieces smaller than a car, they won't reach the surface and kick up dust, and as such shouldn't kill the planet even if all the pieces impact the atmosphere.

>>2679038
Even if they shoot them, all the mass of that asteroid is still coming at them at incredible speed.
It doesn't matter if the pieces are the size of cars, the size of marbles or even if it's reduced to a cloud of plasma, if they're impacted directly by literal tons of material moving at >1% the speed of light, they're going to die.

This plan would rely on them not detecting the asteroids before they got close, which is why i would choose to use asteroids rather than any sort of manmade object.
If all their scanners see facing them is a cloud of asteroids, it's not nearly as suspicious as a cloud of weird tungsten rods.
>>
>>2679025
Mankind is eventually going to weaponize the asteroid belt.
>>
>>2679056
>Even if they shoot them, all the mass of that asteroid is still coming at them at incredible speed.

They have lasers, they would incinerate them. But the main reason smaller space debris, even incredibly fast space debris would be ineffective is because of their shields.

As for not being suspicious, asteroids rocketing towards their positions at high speeds? Possible but unlikely. And it's not like these guys would be unaware of "primitive" planetary warfare.

Against the PTO's spaceships your plan would work perfectly fine, but Covie ships are wayyy better than PTO ships.
>>
>>2679092
I don't think you understand.
Shooting something with lasers doesn't make it go away. Their mass doesn't just disappear.
Even if it's reduced to a cloud of ionized plasma by powerful lasers, it still weighs just as much, and now in fact has even more energy due to being extremely hot.

Further, the fact that it's been reduced to plasma would make it an even worse nightmare for their shields, in all likelihood. Plasma is made up of highly charged ionized particles, meaning that it's essentially a gigantic electrical charge. When it all impacts the shields at once, it'll likely overwhelm them and fry the whole ship's systems milliseconds before impacting the hull and destroying the whole thing.

Blasting them with lasers would be infinitely worse than just trying to dodge them, because you're going to make them bigger objects to avoid and far more dangerous at that.

As for whether their scanners would pick them up or not, hard to say. Maybe they will, but they'll just be disregarded as a passing cloud of asteroids.
Maybe the scanners won't even bother to flag them at all, since normally even a cloud of space debris isn't very dangerous, and a direct hit is extremely unlikely, not knowing there's a targeting computer inside each one of them.
Maybe they'll figure out what's up and have scatter in order to avoid being hit, in which case it'll serve as a good distraction, buying us precious minutes to obliterate them by hand.

There are very few negatives here, aside from the sheer effort involved, but the PTO isn't lacking in slave labor.
>>
>>2679056
Actually I think Covie ships have slipspace drives. So while traveling long distances they would enter slipspace so you couldn't even shoot them down until they came out of slipspace nearer to their target. At which point they'd probably be close enough that accelerating an asteroid to a dangerous speed towards them would take too long.

>>2679115
Plasma dissipates INCREDIBLY fast if there isn't a reaction creating more or a field of some description keeping it from flying apart. Even if in the direct radiation from a star it would lose most of its energy within minutes at the very best.

Even still if you put thrusters on these asteroids you're relying on covie scanners NOT flagging them even as small fighters or ships hiding out on the asteroids. They may not spot a computer just as a guidance system but they would detect that every asteroid has an abnormally focused section of metals on them. Unnaturally occurring concentrations.

The covie are sending their best right now. They will take note of stuff, maybe not every ship will notice but if one does and just one captain expresses reasonable concern they won't just ignore it out of turn.
>>
>>2679135
Plasma does not dissipate incredibly fast as the result of being heated to extreme temperatures in an environment (space) where that heat energy cannot readily be transferred to another medium.
Certainly not in the time it would take from being hit by a covenant laser to when it strikes the ship, especially if it's moving at >1% the speed of light.
And again, it doesn't matter if it's a cloud of plasma of a cloud of hot dust, all the mass of the asteroid is still intact. It doesn't go anywhere. You're still hitting it with the same amount of material going the same speed, and thus with the same amount of energy, no matter what shape it takes.

And yes, i'm aware that they're going to come out of slipspace near the planet, that's why it's important that they arrive on the day of the invasion, that's why i made it clear that they wound need to arrive on that day in particular, around the time they would reach the planet. If it proves impossible to spy on the covenant fleet and determine when that would be, then this plan is not viable.

As for detecting them, it would be a simple task to simply distribute any computers randomly throughout these randomly-shaped asteroids, and to only select metallic asteroids (which can be upwards of 50% iron/nickel by weight) and thereby make it impossible to determine whether there's anything "extra" inside, as long as you avoid direct visual scans, so in other words, just keep the front of the asteroid pointed towards the fleet, so it looks like a normal asteroid. If it's almost entirely made of metal anyways, they likely won't be able to detect metallic objects embedded within them.
>>
>>2679158
From a physics standpoint if they hit the cloud of heated gaseous particles with a directed energy weapon they could easily force it to move in a different direction. The low mass of the individual particles would mean that it wouldn't take much at all to redirect it. Even if there is fifteen tons of dust in the way, you aren't moving fifteen tons at once, you're moving a single speck of dust.

Previously you stated you wanted the asteroids to explode before they were anywhere near New Salda. How close is "anywhere near"? What if the covie pop out in eyeballing distance of New Salda? Or just within a few minutes of flight? A few hours? Blowing up a ship in New Salda's gravity well would mean space debris from the ships would be falling to the surface in a worst case scenario. Pieces of ship which can survive reentry even if they are smaller pieces at least for the outer hull. Granted that would only come into play if they were in low orbit when a ship exploded, high orbit if you're unlucky. But at those distances wouldn't the asteroids have already self-detonated?

Let's say they come out of slipspace a day away and the asteroids are on their way to the covie fleet. Let's say we only use highly ferrous asteroids. What about fuel for the thrusters? Or the explosive components and accelerants? An entire asteroid field full of fuel bearing asteroids is astronomically unlikely.

It's just not a feasible plan for the opponents we're facing. We'd be better off constructing real planetary defense weaponry on the surface of New Salda or bunkers and other entrenchments.
>>
>>2679226
The asteroids already have a massive amount of kinetic energy and are moving in the direction of the covenant ships, so the only significant change in direction would of course be on another axis, which is to say, up and down or left and right.

If the asteroids are reduced to plasma, they will spread out relatively evenly in a sphere.
It is not possible to strike the entire ball of plasma with a directed energy weapon, as by it's very nature the energy is highly focused in one spot, so even if you wanted to push the plasma away with photons or just get them so hot that they essentially explode and dissipate fast enough not to damage the ship, it's just not possible.

I would set the detonation distance from new salda at around 100km from the atmosphere, giving the individual pieces time to spread out slightly so that they can burn up in the atmosphere properly.

If they pop out of subspace closer to the atmosphere than that, then they would just have to impact the ships as flak rather than whole asteroids, which is fine.

As for spaceship debris, it doesn't matter at this point. There's already the hulls of several covenant warships littering the surface, but that pales in comparison to the wreckage caused by the big ghetti star, which was destroyed by an explosion from within by karn, while just above the surface i believe.

As for the engines used to accelerate the asteroids, i have no clue. this is a fictional setting with fictional ships that can travel the galaxy in days and months.
The explosives could be anything from gunpowder to C4, that part doesn't need to be complex at all.

As for planetary defense weapons, i agree and have already suggested several options previously.
I would simply do this in addition to that, since the scale of the PTO's resources is massive enough to accomplish such a task.
>>
>>2679254
Destroying the asteroids would cause an explosion from whatever is in them which would already cause certain parts to gain or lose energy. And the lesser the mass of an object the less energy it takes to affect it. Even if the dust were traveling at 1% the speed of light it would take so much less energy to reduce or negate that speed than it would to accelerate the entire asteroid.

The covie can also just launch plasma at the fields of plasma, all they would need to do is adjust the strength of the fields holding their own plasma bolts together so they release the plasma in an expanding cone. And they can just keep shooting until the plasma is moving in the direction they want or has its motion mostly inhibited so they can simply avoid it. Buying time is well and all but won't really do anything for us.

Keeping in mind that any asteroid chunks larger than 100 feet can likely survive reentry and hit hard enough to break some stuff (not much, it'd be pretty small after reentry) and anything larger than a kilometer could have effects that are planetary in scale (I don't think that necessarily means rocks fall everything dies in a literal sense but it would be bad). So it's a sliding scale of damage that could happen between there. The chances of a piece of asteroid of that size hitting the surface aren't high but it's still a possibility even if you detonate it at 100km away. Also keeping this in mind if you want to try to use celestial bodies as flak which really sounds like a bad idea to me.

The Big spaghetti star was in atmosphere IIRC which is a different can of beans. I'll go back and check on that after this. And I don't think there are any covie ship parts on New Salda, I think it was just on the planet the Tamaraneans took. I hope I'm not forgetting a major conflict here.

Yeah the ships are kinda wacky in Dragonball.

>using gunpowder or plastic explosives to blow up an asteroid ranging anywhere from the size of a pebble to 1000+ kilometers
For any asteroid you would want to weaponize that would be a LOT of explosives. And for gunpowder at least you'd need to hollow out the asteroid significantly. Does gunpowder work in a vacuum? I'd assume it does but would it work properly? You'd have to seal it in with some air at least right?

I may have missed those suggestions if you made them recently, then. Darn. Could you convince Frieza to allot the manpower to make these weapons, though? I'm sure he probably knows how to manage an empire better than we do. Or at least whatever advisers he has do.
>>
>>2679254
Reading back we didn't blow the Spaghetti star over New Salda, it was on Kvir's moon. And on Namek but that was time travel shenanigans so it wouldn't count either way for our timeline.
>>
>>2679318
Do you have any idea how much energy it takes to accelerate something up to 1% the speed of light?
The force exerted by photon pressure is negligible and the radius of any laser weapon isn't enough to affect the entire ball of expanding plasma, it won't do shit and it won't redirect a significant amount of gas, end of story.

You would have a far better chance of redirecting the whole asteroid by using an extremely tightly focused laser to flash the surface of the asteroid at at a glancing angle, with the plasma produced pushing against the mass of the asteroid and acting as a small rocket engine. However, the thrust of this isn't huge either, and it's possible that the rocket onboard the asteroid could simply correct for this force, but even if it didn't, the point of sending thousands of them at the same time is to increase the chance of hitting them, and in this case, to overwhelm any such point defense lasers.

Even if they launched expanding cones of plasma at the incoming ball, it wouldn't have nearly as much energy behind it as the incoming ball, that's the whole point of the large run-up, to completely overwhelm their systems. However, even if their plasma weapons could, in an unfocused state, produce enough power to completely or significantly negate the kinetic energy of a thousand tons of ionized rock moving at even 1% the speed of light, they would have to do so after having reduced the asteroid to said plasma, which would be difficult on it's own due to the speed of the moving target, and that's assuming it hasn't been turned into flak.

A metallic body 100 feet in diameter hitting the surface at that speed would produce an explosion similar to a large hydrogen bomb, but given the size of new salda and the thickness of it's atmosphere given it's gravity, it's unlikely to cause significant damage to anything, especially considering the vast majority of the planet is undeveloped forest.

You are missing a battle with the covenant on new salda, yes. Cold took part in that battle as well, and several large covenant ships were wrecked on-planet.

Gunpowder does work in a vacuum if the reaction is contained and it can build pressure (so guns work), which since you're trying to blow the asteroid apart, it would be. You don't need nearly as much explosive as you'd think to destroy asteroids, as they tend to be loosely bound in the first place, but you'd need much more for metallic asteroids, but they would also fragment much more violently, like giant hand grenades.

>>2679328
No, berserker karn destroyed the big ghetti star when it landed on new salda. IIRC, it was taking off at the time. http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/qstarchive/2355187/#p2356365

I know it takes substantially less energy to slow down a particle millions or billions of times smaller. Covie lasers aren't actually light based, they use some form of matter. I forget what they actually are. But it isn't just "weaponized light". And based on the size of the beam their capital ships can produce they could probably create a large enough hole to just fly through with maybe taking some light scoring if it manages to overcome the shield. If you REALLY want to point out how hard it is to get to 1% then it's likely throwing tons of engines capable of reaching that speed would be expensive. A waste since you're designing the thing they are put on to literally explode. Fiction makes things hard. Especially two different fictions and real world physics at the same time.

If they simply make a small course correction at distance due to them going much slower they would be able to fly circles around the asteroids because of how hard it would be to turn the thing. The problem with going really fast is that it gets harder to turn. And if they did explode the asteroids into plasma thanks to the way it expands they could just fly right through it thank to the particles expanding and subjecting the target to less energy overall. It would go from a 50 ton boulder hitting the shields/hull to a couple thousand pounds of really hot dust. Even if you give the dust more energy it will subject the target to less thanks to its expansion.

The reason why shooting more plasma back at the plasma would work is because they don't need to hit the entire field, they only have to poke holes through it. And they can fire more and more plasma while the field wouldn't be getting any extra except what it latches onto being fired at them. Since what is being fired at them is denser it would slow the particles down much more than the particles can accelerate the new plasma. It's like throwing a metal pin at a 1/6th inch thick metal plate. You'd have to throw it really fast. But then there is another twelve plates behind it. You just couldn't feasibly get that pin through all thirteen plates. It's the same concept here.

Yeah I'm not saying it's likely for a piece sizable enough to actually worry New Salda to hit, but if you throw thousands of asteroids in the general direction of a planet it is bound for some bad stuff to get through.

I completely forgot Cold even came to New Salda. To meet the Guardian, right? And I didn't even go back far enough in the archives to see the Spaghetti star. I was sure we'd encountered it twice in total. I'm losing my damn mind.

Yeah blowing stuff up from the inside is way easier than breaking it up with one from the outside. It's why you never put a firecracker in a toilet and close the lid. Why people do that is beyond me.
>>
>>2679375
If the covenant lasers are in fact particle beams, they could indeed impart far more energy than a photon laser, but that doesn't change the fact that it's a directed energy weapon and can't affect a large portion of the incoming matter, nor can it hope to output enough energy to negate the incoming attack. A single beam weapon absolutely cannot create a hole in a gigantic cloud of high-speed plasma big enough for the entire ship it's mounted upon to fly through.

And for the millionth time, it doesn't matter how small the particles asteroid become, even if they're reduced to single atoms of individual elements, the total mass and energy of the object remains the same, as does the energy imparted by the opposing weapon.

If a covenant particle beam has enough power to stop ten kilograms of matter moving at 1% the speed of light, then that's how much it'll stop regardless of how small the particles of matter are. The size of them simply does not play a factor.

One thing that you're correct about is the maneuverability of the covenant ships compared to the asteroids.
Due to their forward energy, changing their course is in fact difficult, and so changes in course must be made farther back for the sake of efficiency, however that is largely negated by the extreme speed of the object. The covenant ships would only be able to dodge if they did so when the asteroids were already close by, assuming they could detect them to do so in the first place.
If they destroyed the asteroid in any way, it would no longer be able to make course corrections, but it would also become a very large cloud of debris rather quickly, so they would need to dodge if the asteroid was even remotely on target at the time it was destroyed, assuming they could do so at long enough range to give them time to move at all.

Shooting plasma at the plasma would not work because there simply is not enough energy behind their weapons to negate all the energy of the incoming matter, i've already explained this, and again, certainly not enough energy to punch a hole through it big enough for the ship to fit through. that's absolutely ridiculous. all of this would have to take place in the span of seconds at incredible distances.

The "bad stuff getting through" is the whole reason for course-correcting computers and loading them with explosives, you aren't just lobbing them in the general direction of the planet.

The more you speak, the more i come to think you have no idea what you're talking about.
>>
How about we just swing the covie ships into each other like we've been doing?

You don't need to worry about the asteroids hitting the planet, it's the fragments of them exploding and no longer steering themselves away.

Okay, Figure A. The object on the left requires less energy to both accelerate and decelerate because it has less mass than the object on the right. Figure B is an expanding field of debris or plasma or what have you. You are no longer decelerating the entire mass of the original object you are decelerating less. Hence you would need less energy. The smaller mass would be subjected to the same amount of energy whilst having less mass itself to resist it. So it would be easier to slow down. Inertia is reliant on mass not energy. So a full energy blast would have more of an effect on a field of particles than on an entire asteroid. After the asteroid explodes you are no longer moving 10 kilos of stuff, you're moving the lesser mass directly in front of you and the further the mass expands and diffuses the easier that becomes.

I'm not an astrophysicist, what gave it away? And it's past midnight. So rip me. Have a good night.

The point of breaking them up into fragments is to allow them to dump more of their energy into the atmosphere and burn up more before hitting the ground, with the remaining fragments having less energy on impact than a single large asteroid striking a single area, meaning they throw up less dust and cause less environmental havoc.

Yes, smaller amounts of mass require less energy than large amounts of mass to accelerate, but in doing so you're literally affecting less mass, and the rest of it, again, does not disappear. You're just dumping the same amount of energy into less of the incoming projectile, affecting it's total energy even less.

It's the different between shooting a cloud and a bucket of water, but it doesn't matter either way when both of them are coming at you at 1% the speed of light.

Your'e and baka.

Ya know, we should actually talk about how we're gonna divide our forces during the attack.
I think a good idea would be to list our available assets and problems to be dealt with.
off the top of my head we got (in no particular order)
>The Saiyan Army (20K-50K)
>The Tamaranean Army (Low Millions)
>The Guardian (225K)
>Koriand'r (sub 12 Million)
>Kommand'r (15-20 Million)
>Lord Cooler (60 Million?)
>Cooler's Armored Squadron (20K to Low Millions?)
>Lord Frieza (150 Million+)
>Captain Ginyu (8.5 Million)
>The Ginyu Force (100K-200K)
>Aku (???)
>Vegeta (34 Million)
>Nappa (16 Million)
>Galick (100K
>Bardock (32 Million)
>Turles (13 Million)
>Tunnip (12 Million)
>Leyas (225K)
>Sarada (225K)
>Ubo (15 Million)
>Raven (200)
>Abo (115K, likely)
>Cado (116K, likely)
>Aisha Clan-Clan (4 Million+, likely)
>The Ctarl-Ctarl Empire (unconfirmed, likely)
>Daughter of Aku (unconfirmed, possible)
>Scaramouche the Merciless (unconfirmed, possible)
>Lord Boros (700K+, highly unlikely)
And we have to deal with
>The Covenant fleeting breaching the atmosphere of New Salda
>The plasma shelling of New Salda
>The Covenant armies landing on the planet's surface
>Moving the general population somewhere secure
>The Arbiter's arrival
I'm sure I missed something, but those are our assets and our main problems as I see them.
We need to figure out a game-plan.
>>
>>2679425
I wouldn't be surprised if frieza was at 250m by now. GD said we'd shit a brick if we knew his new base power level.

My favorite thing to do when facing large armies of varied strength is to just dogpile the shit out of the strongest opponents with one big group of everything you've got, and then go down the list of strongest opponents one by one until they're all dead.

Then you can spread out and mop up the fodder.

So it should be karn, meloka and frieza at full power against the arbiter, while everyone else throws themselves headlong into smashing warships together, then once the arbiter is dead those three join the ship-smashing fray.

I don't think cooler should fight alongside us and frieza, since we have no experience fighting with him and he's probably not skilled enough to take the arbiter on in CQC, so he's better off using his brute strength to smash ships with everyone else.
>>
>>2679429
Also, we need to spread this information.

1. You can just fly inside the ship's shields to bypass them and damage the ship directly, but doing so is dangerous as it puts you in their line of fire
2. The ships drop their shields around weapon turrets, so you can just fire into those gaps in the armor at range if you don't want to fly in
3. The shields are weaker against multiple spread-out attacks than to a single large one, but really weak attacks won't cut it either way
>>

Oh you’ll find out his new base soon enough.

Good idea. And the Arbiter is very wary of you now, he will almost certainly not be first into this coming fight. Which leads to another good question: who fights first and who is kept back in reserve?

The suit is a good idea. There may be one or two experimental suits the PTO has built already, but they’re certainly not to the mass-production stage yet. But this leads to a more important point:

Most of Karn’s fights have been over relatively quickly. Comparing other fights to this on, however, isn’t a good idea. If most of Karn’s other fights were mile sprints, this might end up being a marathon. Knowing when to join the battle and when to pull back may be important. Think of this as more like a siege than a battle.

Aside from flight and Energy Waves, not much. How different people utilize their ki is different. Some make energy weapons like Tunnip to enhance their physical attacks, some prefer to simply use their hands and feet like Leyas and Sarada, some fight more like Meloka preferrs, sitting back and throwing a variety of energy attacks. A few have even figured out a pseudo-transformation that’s essentially the bulky Extra Thicc!! Ultra Super Saiyan form. They pump up their power by sacrificing speed, great for long-range energy fighting, but bad for their stamina.

I feel like we need four specific roles here
>Space Offense
>Planet Defense
>Anti-Arbiter
>Support
Everybody we know can be sorted into these, except a few. Aku can do plenty of shit, but I was thinking using him as a widespread living shield to absorb ship laser glassing from reaching the planet surface would be more effective. Ginyu Force are complete omniroles, but I feel like shenanigans/support is best for them. Raven can also be support with portals. Anybody that gets past Tamaranean/Cooler and co. space defense gets fucked by ground Saiyans and others. Hit and run tactics on the Covenant ships, plus using ships to take out other ships feels like a viable tactic.

Thoughts?

They’d thought it a diversion to pull their troops away from elsewhere, only realizing the truth too late. If they’d had their defenders properly in place, the allied offensive would have failed.
>>2679583
Seems a pretty good strategy overall. Just a few ideas point out: Would it be better to have Cooler/Freeza and the Tamaraneans ready to intercept, or surprise and flank once they have committed to the attack? And Aku could fight effectively anywhere, one of the perks of being a near-immortal shapeshifter.
>>
>>2679599
I guess it could play out like
>Covenant shows up
>looks like only defenders on the planet
>start moving in to glassing range
>suddenly Tamaraneans appear and fire on them
>suddenly Cooler/Freeza show up and start fucking up ships
>suddenly Oozaru mouth blasts and various other beams from the planet surface
>some ships manage to get to glassing range, begin to glass
>glassing lasers are absorbed completely by an eerie blackness, while ground level attacks continue to fly through
>>
>>2679583
>Space Offense
Aku, Cooler, and the Tamaranean Elite advance towards the fleet before they're in range of New Sadala and take out as many ships as possible while minimizing causalities. The more ships they gimp or destroy, the less we have to deal at one time once the breach New Salda's atmosphere.
Once they do their job, they retreat back to New Salda for planetary defense.
>Planet Defense
Once our advance squads make it back onto New Salda, the ground forces throw up as many energy mines in the upper atmosphere as possible.
It won't do much, but what it will do is slow down the landing craft and route them towards out heavy hitters.
Aku should be running across the New Salda, hit and run tactics on different Covie groups and throwing down minions where needed.
Once the fleet starts their landing procedures, we can have our Super Saiyans pair up along the gaps in our mine fields.
Meanwhile the Saiyan army (spread across New Salda in a battalion per land-mass) will throw up powerballs and start the mass counter-assault along side the Tamaranean troops (Led by Koriand'r and Kommand'r).
The Ginyu Force, Cooler, Cooler's Armored Squadron should be heading charges against the ground battalions of the Covenant everywhere they aren't being assaulted by our Oozaru and Tamaraneans.
Then the fun begins.
>Anti-Arbiter
One we confirm where the Arbiter has dropped, Karn, Meloka, and Frieza detach from their groups and beeline towards him.
Karn and Meloka should focus on making openings for Frieza to capitalize on.
If anybody has a decent chance of outright killing the Arbiter, it's Frieza. (Plus that solidifies it as a victory for his empire)
If for some reason Meloka and Frieza are both incapitated, we contact Raven and have her teleport them to the shelter.
Then we pop Berserk as a last ditch effort and hope for the best.
If we still end up losing, we call Ginyu and tell him to try for a body-snatch.
If that fails, mass retreat while somebody stays behind and vaporizes the planet.
>Support
Multiple powerballs should be deployed in every battle, besides that...we don't really have much in the way of support.
We will need tight communication between all of our battalions, so we need to make sure all of our commanders know telepathy.
Ubo, Raven, and the Guardian should be kept with the non-participants of the battle. In the event of our failure, Raven needs to send as many people off-world as possible while the remaining Tamaraneans cover the retreating PTO ships.
>>
>>2679602
One thing is clear, this battle will certainly be one to remember.
>>2679612
>One we confirm where the Arbiter has dropped, Karn, Meloka, and Frieza detach from their groups and beeline towards him.
That’s a good plan for fighting him. Wonder how that’ll work out for you...

Not to beat a dead horse but I'm going to anyway one last time, sorry everyone.

Breaking up the asteroids 100km over New Salda is a bad idea full stop. Let's say you only use asteroids ranging between 1-5km in size. I'm not good at math so lets super simplify things and assume a flat 10% chance of an asteroid fragment after the self destruction to be over 200ft in size. And let's say there is a 5% chance for it to be going straight towards New Salda (the fragment, which it would also be way more likely to hit than 5% but we'll assume only relevant targets like our settlement in that chance) and multiply that by the thousands for all the asteroids you want to throw in the general direction of anything over New Salda. Now the ISS is 411km above Earth, New Salda is larger than Earth and you want the asteroids to be able to get closer than that.

As for a field of smaller particles being more dangerous than a larger particle. That's simply false. Energy is tied to both mass and speed and due to the fact it is now a field rather than one large particle you will subject yourself to less overall mass since not all of it can hit you at once now. Space dust moving at 1% the speed of light wouldn't cause any significant damage because the energy would be small due to the low mass. Keep in mind, regular MACs in Halo fire a 600 ton iron-tungsten depleted uranium core slug at 4% the speed of light and it takes multiple to penetrate the shields of Covie warships. Since they would shoot down the asteroids if they were course correcting towards them and they shot down any pieces large enough to pose a threat (lets say any fragments weighing 600 tons so assume a nice 30x30x30 rock for ease of picture) the resulting pieces would just get deflected by their shields. Covie shields work best against ballistic weapons and rocks would definitely fall under that category. Not to mention these are armored warships, not the voyager rocket. They have armor designed to be shot at by space-age weapons and pebbles even at 1% the speed of light don't pack the same punch as nuclear warheads.

Now get a balloon and a sharpie or a marker. Put a dot on the side of the balloon and blow up the balloon. The dot gets bigger as the balloon does. That is what would happen to an expanding sphere of debris if you shot a hole in it as it expanded. It would have an ever expanding hole in it to just fly right through. It is very easy to deflect low-mass objects because if it is moving at high speed and impacts a slower object even if it has similar mass it loses energy (and speed) since it accelerates the slower mass. And the objects in question would likely take the path of least resistance since they are in a vacuum which means literally any other direction and deflect off of each other.

Again apologies for shitting up the thread everyone, and now I have to get back to work.
>>
>>2679831
I say we just offer him a challenge or something a bit before he arrives. He's got to be raring to have another go at us after his failure last time, so I expect if we give him a meeting point to battle us at, like the arena, he might just head straight there to engage us and leave command of the battle to others. If it's the two of us and Freeza, we should be more then capable of taking him, and even if something goes wrong, we can keep one or two of our other stronger fighters on the back burner to jump in just in case.
>>
>>2680055
>and now I have to get back to work.
Welcome to my life, shift’s 6a-7p today.
>>2680072
You could drop a challenge. But would he accept, or just blast wherever you call out as the arena from orbit?
>>
>>2680055
I would definitely not use asteroids that big.
In fact, i'd only use asteroids less than 100ft in diameter.

The whole point is to forego size in favor of speed, and thus penetration.
It's something small, moving so fast that you can't dodge it, with so much energy that it punches through whatever it hits and explodes like a bomb.

Defeating armor works the same way. You can shoot one ounce 12 gauge deer slugs at an armor plate all day and not even scratch it, but a single 9 gram .308 going 2800fps will punch a hole in it as though it's not even there. t. hasgunz

Speed beats armor, not mass. You need a smaller surface area delivering a large amount of energy.
>>
>>2679831
I would say we should go with what we did previously, have karn and meloka whittle him down slowly, but with frieza standing by.
When the arbiter blasts us back with an energy wave, frieza engages him immediately, then disengages when karn and meloka get back to him. This prevents the arbiter from just shanking one of us on the ground after knocking us back.

I don't know how well a 3v1 would work with frieza using su ma and energy blades due to not having fought alongside him before, and if frieza gets knocked back by the arbiter's energy wave too, we're just as fucked as we were with 2v1.

I guess we could practice vs. final form cooler...
>>
Wait, what would i do if i were in the arbiter's position?
It's a pretty shit position, but i'm a huge religious zealot...

The only thing that really works is area attacks. So maybe the best option is a suicide bombing run.
What are the chances they could fit a tiny slipspace bomb or something similar in the arbiter's chest?
>>
>>2680123
Eh, if he tries to blast us we can defend ourselves long enough to get out of range, and he seems pretty big on honour anyways. I don’t think he’d leave killing one of the highest priority targets on the planet to a simple attack from orbit, anyways. He’d want to make sure we’re dead personally, especially after he mucked up killing us last time.

1: Teach every single saiyan how to go Berserk.
2: Have every single saiyan go Berserk.
3: ????
4: PROFIT!!!!
>>
>>2680147
I'm sure most of us here know how ballistics works for whatever reason (probably video games drumming up interest). Notably however high rating ballistic plating which can be worn as body armor can withstand a .308 including AP rounds specifically. 2,800 fps indeed. Speed is still part of the equation for energy so it still works to simplify it as energy. And even so speed alone won't do it, otherwise the photons hitting the Earth would Swiss cheese it. You also have to take into account the material your projectile is made up of, in this case rock and untreated iron or nickel which isn't very hard and tends to be brittle. The covie ships are also all curves and smooth slopes with the only good surface for a hit being the nose of the ship, otherwise it'll be glance city. You'd get some scoring yeah but otherwise a roughly spheroid object would slide on the smooth hull or it would just shatter on impact since it's easier to disperse its energy that way than to try to dig through the hull. Like throwing an orange at a wall as fast as you can. No matter how fast you throw it the moment it touches the wall it'll just explode. Same thing happens to bullets that are moving very fast that can't penetrate a surface. They either deform or just explode.

But it wouldn't matter because you want to use smaller asteroids. I'll assume by 100ft you mean in diameter and let's make it easy on ourselves. 100ft diameter sphere would have a volume of about 31,400 cubic ft which would be about 780 tons of material. More than the 600 of the same material for a 30x30x30 cube. But the shields are rated for a similar material yield at four time the speed you want to use and multiple impacts one after the other and the shields do not use conventional ballistics so penetration values don't apply otherwise MAC shells would just poof right through them. Covie shields defend on a measure of energy in its whole rather than worrying about it being focused to a point. So you'd be using a projectile with similar mass at lesser speeds hitting multiple times while it is actively being shot down. If they manage to blow up an asteroid the pieces end up hitting with less energy simply because of how physics works so it actually becomes a non issue if you use smaller asteroids like those. And if CIWS can shoot down an incoming missile then the covie point defense can shoot down asteroids even moving ridiculously fast thanks to all that open space between them.

Really again it comes down to the fact that the covie have shields that happen to be specialized at stopping kinetic energy. If you wanted to shoot a bunch of lasers at them it would work but throwing rocks won't.

You're making me do math. I don't want to do this any more.
>>
>>2680154
This could work. Have Freeza rush in once he’s open could end him.
>>2680173
I’ll go with some OOC knowledge for a moment, he was NOT supposed to arrive that soon. Another dozen or so waves of Covenant warships were supposed to head down, but when they picked up yours and Meloka’s powerlevels they sent him up to take the both of you down specifically. It was essentially an attack of opportunity, he won’t show himself nearly so soon next time.
>>2680234
We’ll see how it unfolds.
>>2680676
That isn’t something that can be taught. It just kinda happens.

I've been wondering if Cooler has picked up any strays like Frieza has been doing with his Saiyan pets. At this point even the Ginyus trash Cooler's Armored Squad when they used to be considered roughly equal in overall battle strength.

He has to have thought about either increasing his own strength or the strength of his army after hearing about the successes Frieza's force has had, right?
>>
>>2680774
>I've been wondering if Cooler has picked up any strays like Frieza has been doing with his Saiyan pets.
To be fair, Karn has been the one more involved in gathering recruits. And Cooler may have a few more unexpected members back on his ship.
>At this point even the Ginyus trash Cooler's Armored Squad when they used to be considered roughly equal in overall battle strength.
Partly due to Ginyu getting that massive multi-million boost in power due to Body Changing that Elite.
>He has to have thought about either increasing his own strength or the strength of his army after hearing about the successes Frieza's force has had, right?
Well, successes and failures. He’s especially heard of Karn’s feats, Freeza bragging of his friend during the Cold family yearly dinners.
>>
>>2680866
Y’know, wouldn’t it be funny if we had Ginyu hide near where we battle the Arbiter, and have him hit him with the Body Change Ray at an opportune moment? I mean, it’d probably fail, but it might be a decent last resort option.

>tfw it's Doomsday

It's no one absolutely horrifying, right? I suppose I shouldn't ask. Might ruin the surprise.
>>
>>2680883
There’s a move that can help prevent its failure. If someone strong enough to hold him catches him in a Full Nelson, it could enable Ginyu to hit him.
>>2680887
As for who that is/they are, you’ll have to wait and see. I’m not ruining the reveal.
>>
>>2680922
And Ginyu wouldnt go traitor knowing that he has a body thats as strong as Frieza?
>>
>>2680959
I think once he realizes Frieza has done at least 1,000 squats and 100 tail-tip only pull ups he will understand the Arbiter's body isn't quite as strong as Frieza.
>>
>>2680959
That’s why it’d be more of a last resort then something we’d try right out the gate. Besides, a lot of the Arbiter’s power seems to come from his skill with his energy sword and extensive training. Ginyu would probably be much less effectively able to use that power if he took over his body.
>>
>>2680959
Oh fuck, I don't even want to imagine a traitor Ginyu Force with telepathy and the ultimate teamwork against everyone else. Horrifying. Better to maybe use Ginyu's CHANGE ability as an intimidation tool, since the covies shat their pants at finding out Ginyu could do that back at the peace treaty signing. We still don't know why the Covenant are so outright paranoid/FUCKNO about bodyswappers. Prior history maybe? I'm not that knowledgeable about Halo.
>>
>>2680959
Ginyu could have had Freeza’s body. At nearly any time since he started working for him. But Freeza is his employer, and he is loyal to a fault.
>>2681007
>he will understand the Arbiter's body isn't quite as strong as Frieza.
The Arbiter’s body and muscular system are more hardened than Freeza’s due to years of training and battle experience. But as for power, Freeza’s 100% has the edge in strength.
>>2681009
>Ginyu would probably be much less effectively able to use that power if he took over his body.
This is true. It takes him some time to adjust to a new body.

Guldo is literally the strongest member of the ginyu force, even stronger than ginyu.

QM QUESTION

Here’s a question or three as the vote winds down and we approach the biggest showdown yet: have you enjoyed how this quest has gone? Favorite character(s), and least favorite? Most memorable moment?

Loved the quest, been here since T 3. Favorite character would have to be Karn himself. He's a true saiyan, but pragmatic enough to take the role of a Protag without being the edgy antihero type. Least favorite... Probably Turles. We/you almost never do anything with the guy, period. And the most memorable moment is easily when we first got False SSJ.

Damn, glad you’ve enjoyed it so far, through the highs and lows.
>Favorite character would have to be Karn himself
He’s turned into an interesting character. Especially for someone in DBZ-verse.
>Turles. We/you almost never do anything with the guy, period.
True. He’s just kinda there sometimes. He’s one of several I want to do more with.
>And the most memorable moment is easily when we first got False SSJ.
Agreed. I still believe it’s one of my best moments as a QM.
>>
>>2684836
I really liked the this quest and what youve done with it, if I had to pick a favorite character it would be Frieza and moment would be the alt future stuff.
>>
>>2684836
Been here off and on Since Thread one, i've typically been busy with life and shit but i'm usually catching up with the archives and shit, Thanks for this quest.
Anyways my favorite character is probably Nappa actually, i like his character development allot even though he doesn't show up often. I legit love The broship and even though hes not always fightan and shit he does have a major role as essentially the chancellor under king vegeta.
Least favorite is probably the Arbitor, mostly because i'm not sure whether this is the aggressively asshole arbiter from halo wars, but god damn hes a complete ass, but hes an antag to our group and has played his role admirably, actually i really like pretty much everyone in this quest and how they have fallen into different roles relative to their canon selves, but they all tend to play to character.
My favorite moment was probably when Time loli showed up and karn called her out on wanting to kill the saiyans to save the timeline. It was written really well and you could feel how each group was literally the protag of their own story. You've thrown a fuckton of research into shit and it shows, thanks mang, good job dealing with shitposters, heres hoping the quest continues for a long time.
>>
>>2684947
I've been around since thread 10 or so, myself.
>>
>>2684836
Have enjoyed the quest qm, have been lurking since thread 5. Pretty hyped for covenant war, cant wait for them to get absorbed into friezas empire. Still. Hoping that king vegeta can become mandelore and become king of warriors. I doubt it will happen though

Favorite characters so far besides karn, has been prince vegeta/King vegeta, and frieza. Chaya being a close third.

I gotta say my least favorite character so far though has either been turles or Ayesha the ktarlktarl bitch. They are so bland/annoying respectively.

For the most memorable moment so far its a toss up between false super sayan, or legendary super sayan. I wish we worked on controlling it better but we always seem to have something thats more important to do instead.

What about you? What character do you enjoy writing the most? Which moment do you think was the most difficult to write as a gm?
>>
>>2685202
Freeza not being the main villain has been a fun side of him to write. As for that alt future, it went really, really dark. Was fun to write and conceptualize.
>>2685248
Glad to see. Nappa’s development was rather interesting, and giving him people in his life he grew up with and had real comraderie with made him more alive, and less of a mook.
>i really like pretty much everyone in this quest and how they have fallen into different roles relative to their canon selves, but they all tend to play to character.
This is what I’ve striven for. Doing fanfiction is easy, doing fanfiction with everyone true to character is so much harder but so much more rewarding.
>Least favorite is probably the Arbitor
As you said, he’s played his role admirably so far. But how does his story end? Does Karn get him? Meloka? Freeza? Someone else? Or does the villain win this one? Even I don’t know yet, we’ll have to wait and see.
>My favorite moment was probably when Time loli showed up and karn called her out on wanting to kill the saiyans to save the timeline. Everyone’s the hero of their own story. I’ve tried to show that faithfully, and glad others appreciate it. As for shitposters, they’re still bumping the thread back to page 1 for everyone who sorts /qst/ properly.
>heres hoping the quest continues for a long time.

>Have enjoyed the quest qm, have been lurking since thread 5. Pretty hyped for covenant war, cant wait for them to get absorbed into friezas empire.
Appreciated, and we’ll see what happens. Parts may be absorbed, and others wiped out completely.
>Favorite characters so far besides karn, has been prince vegeta/King vegeta, and frieza. Chaya being a close third.
Vegeta has been fun, as has Freeza. But Chaya a cute, always have a dumb grin on my face writing her being adorable.
>They are so bland/annoying respectively.
True. At least with Aisha Clan-Clan, it was true to her character. Turles just hasn’t had many moments to shine.
>so far its a toss up between false super sayan, or legendary super sayan.
Going Berserk was fun for me to write.
>What character do you enjoy writing the most? Which moment do you think was the most difficult to write as a gm?
Chaya. Both present and future, for different reasons. As for difficult, I’d say it was Future Karn’s farewell personally. Was hard to let him go, despite killing Arbiter in that timeline.

Excuse you? Freeza is not someone who just lifts, he is a Emperor that lifts HIS COUNTRY, HIS FRIENDS, AND ALL THE HOPES AND DREAMS OF HIS UNIVERSE! Prodigal son whom lifts indeed, never belittle his efforts again.

QM UPDATE

Still not finished with epilogue, it will hopefully be done sometime tomorrow before 6pm EST.

25 hours until Saiyan Conqueror Quest 49 begins! As for 48’s epilogue, I plan to finish it up within the next 5 hours.

-Saiyan Conqueror Quest 48 Epilogue-

AGE 741, UNMARKED PLANET

“That is unacceptable.” you tell your son, his agitation clear on his face through the monitor. “You will go, and that is final. Do you understand me?”
“But fathe-“ he says, you interrupting him.
“Don’t you ‘but father’ me, Cooler.” you say sternly. “You will go and assist your brother protect his Saiyan pets on New Salda. That world must not fall to a Covenant advance, or else all we’ve built could be at risk.”
“But why?” Cooler asks you, confused. “What difference does it make if a bunch of monkeys live or die?”
“It isn’t about them, this is about someone else, someone dear to me.” you say, deciding to finally confide in him. “I will tell you something you must never repeat. Do you understand me?”
“Of course Father.” Cooler says obediently, knowing that saying no isn’t wise.
“My late father’s master still lives there.”

“Wait, do you mean...?” he asks, trailing off.
“Yes, my son.” you say. “He’s still alive on that world, but is bound and cannot leave. This may be a selfish reason, but I want you there at this battle as well, as my only insurance to protect him.”
“But what ab- Very well, I’ll do it.” Cooler says, changing his sentence, quickly exchanging farewells then hanging up. You could all but hear the ‘what about you?’ he wanted to ask, but didn’t. He knows your fighting days are long done, and that you’d entrusted him with something close to your heart. He wont fail you.... Will he?

75 hours later

“DAMMIT!” you think to yourself, crushing your glass in your hand absently as you look down over your simulator holotable. No matter how you look at it, things look rather grim for New Salda. Even with the master and both Freeza and Cooler fighting with the Saiyans, even if those approaching Tamaraneans are all friendly, even if the Ctarl-Ctarl join in, even if Aku helps out, it doesn’t look good. The Saiyans may have six thousand-ish battle-ready warriors, taking into account their repopulation from the Big Gete star attack that reduced their population to 10,645, but the Covenant are sending three times that many warships, each filled with thousands of armed fighters.

They don’t stand a chance.

Even at the Super Saiyans’ alarming rate of growth, they’ll not be able to win this fight. They need something else, something more. You rub your eyes tiredly as you look up from the table, seeing the case holding precious mementos from your youth. You see the robes you’d worn as a Knight, as well as the hilt of your blade. You hadn’t touched either for several centuries, yet inside the case there isn’t a speck of dust, everything as pristine as the day you’d hung them up for good. You’d thought your days of fighting were over, but perhaps...
cont

>>2689250
You quickly rise from your seat, marching through the empty halls towards a seldom-used wing of your fortress. You drop your armor off outside your private training hall, then walk through the doorway as the airtight seal closes behind you. The automatic lights turn on as you stride confidently into the room, almost-forgotten memories surfacing as you look around. Your training equipment are certifiable antiques, yet all are still perfectly functional. You look at the equipment a moment, then turn and walk over to the heavily reinforced, power concealing chamber. You open the seal on it as well, walking inside and shutting the door behind you.

“How many years has it been now?” you say to yourself, activating the device. It turns on with a hum, this special chamber able to contain one’s ki entirely to prevent anyone from sensing or scanning it. After a few moments it finishes powering up, a soft ding telling you that it’s fully ready. You pop your neck then your knuckles, mentally preparing yourself for what’s to come. You haven’t transformed in years, you’re certain that this’ll hurt quite a bit. If you even still can.

“Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!” you say with a low shout, you feeling your power climbing as you prepare to transform. You feel your powerlevel beginning to skyrocket, the sensation of your body changing feeling odd after all these years. You decide to skip your third form, headed straight to your final form. Your body begins breaking apart as your power explodes, you feeling your final form restrained by the shell around you. It feels constrictive, yet you can’t force yourself out of it. You begin to panic slightly, you have to break free!

“HRRRAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!” you roar out as your transformation finishes, your second-form body shattering and disappearing from around you as you claim your true form. A blinding light blasts out from your body, blinding even you with it’s glorious brilliance. Your aura is pouring from your body, you basking in the sensation you hadn’t felt in so long. You stand tall, for a moment a young man again. You feel stronger than you’ve felt in a long time, once more you truly feel like King Cold the Conqueror. You flare your aura up, reveling in your own intoxicating power. You are invincible!

That feeling of invincibility doesn’t last.

“Guuyaaaaa!!” you scream out in pain, dropping to a knee and clutching your chest as you feel a sharp pain all around your insides. You clench up in agony as another wave of pain rolls over you, threatening to send you unconscious.

“DAMMIT!! I, I have to focus.” you say to yourself, panting heavily from the strain on your body as it begins to tear itself apart. You look down at the hand to your chest, remembering a battle from so long ago... “No! Not now! Concentrate!”

You focus your power as best you can, trying to reign it in, but you simply cannot. Your body has gotten too weak to properly control this level of power. You’re losing control, you need to act. Now. With telekinesis you press the button hidden inside the wall to your left, two tubes with vertical handles inside suddenly protruding from the wall. You’d originally had this device built to allow your hidden base to run entirely on your own power, but now it’ll serve a different purpose. You struggle back to your feet, a fresh wave of agony assaulting your senses as you manage to stand.

Half-blinded by pain, you somehow manage to stagger over to the power receptacles. You reach out and grasp the handgrips, flaring your power and sending it all into the device. You pour more and more energy into this machine, it humming audibly from all of your power it’s absorbing. But it keeps on draining you, pulling more and more power from your body. The agony of too much power flowing through your body slowly subsides as more and more of your power is siphoned away. After a solid minute or two you release the device, it retracting inside the wall as you collapse on your back, exhausted. The world slowly fades away as you sink into unconsciousness.

Several hours you awaken in a cold sweat, that monster Majin Buu still haunting your dreams even after all this time. You shake your head and rise unsteadily to your feet, opening the sealed chamber and walking down the halls towards your luxurious bath. As you walk down the halls something seems off, but you just can’t place it. Shrugging it off, you keep walking, coming to the large, ornate double doors. Suddenly you realize what’s wrong: the doors weren’t that massive. Reaching up you open the door hurriedly, looking to the mirror wall to confirm it. You’re back to your first form!
cont
>>
>>2689265
“I haven’t taken this form in ages.” you think, watching yourself in the mirror as you flare your power. You watch your body expand as you transform back into your usual second form, sighing out as your transformation completes. “Haaaaa, that’s much better.”

You take your time in the bath, enjoying the luxury after the punishment your body took yesterday. Several hours later you get out, a robotic minion fetching your towel for you. Once dried off you return to your planning chamber, pouring over your holo strategy table and trying to decide what to do. Hour after hour you strategize, yet no strategy you come up with makes a difference. This frustrates you to no end, there has to be a way!

Giving up on making a plan for now, you find yourself drawn yet again to your training hall. As before, you walk into the power concealing chamber and power up, but instead of transforming into your final form you transform into your third form. The oblong head and widened body are akward to adjust to, but the four times power boost is much more manageable in your relatively weakened state than jumping headfirst into a form that’s 60x stronger. You find assimilation back into this body rather easier, within a few months you’ve trained to the point that you can hold it for several hours at a time before the strain catches up to you. With some of your old glory returned to you, you dive back into the simulations, plotting a way to overcome the colossal challenge before your sons’ empire.

As the months drag on, however, you’re astounded by what your highly advanced scouters are picking up: Freeza’s powerlevel has slowly been rising. As days turn to weeks and weeks turn to months, you find yourself bursting with pride as your son begins surpassing his current limits. When the day Cooler finally arrives on New Salda begins, you almost can’t believe his growth. In his first form, Freeza’s powerlevel has nearly doubled! What was once an already high powerlevel of 530,000 has now blossomed to a mighty 875,000! As you look to the readout with a feeling of pride welling up inside you. When you’d seen Karn’s powerlevel surpass Freeza’s you’d been filled with worry. But now that he’s training your son to be the strongest he can be, you think that Freeza can ascend to the same level your father had, all those years ago. Perhaps keeping that Super Saiyan around was really the best choice after all.

-Saiyan Conqueror Quest 48 End-
>>
>>2689269
If we keep the same scaling in mind from OG Frieza's first form - final form power level his final form at full power is around 226 times as powerful as his base. That same ratio would put Frieza's full power now at just shy of 200 mil. If you want to go by percentages final form Frieza is like 22,640% stronger than base form. Whichever sounds cooler to say. Unless we want to use increasing ratios as he gets stronger. Exponential growth is a monster though.

>[Pride intensifies]

Even pops is doing his morning stretches now? Things are getting pretty hype in here.
>>
>>2689269
Dawwwww, he's proud of our work with our bud, that's good......I wonder if he'll help approve the Karnage Training Program.
>>
>>2689269
>They’re sending 18,000 warships.
Not as bad as I was expecting, honestly. I think we could take that many warships on, with the numbers we’ve got. That’s less an impossible battle so much as it is a mildly difficult one.
>>
>Cooler was being a little fucking bitch about going to help
What a cunt. I wanna have a match with him now just to slap his shit.
>>
>>2689352
>scaling
Here’s how I’m doing the Cold clan forms for this quest:
>first form
>second form(2x)
>third form(4x second)
>final form(15x third, or 60x second)
Hope that clarifies. Someone recheck these numbers with the pastebin, I’ve worked 11 hours today then busted my ass at martial arts, not mentally at 100% right now.
>Things are getting pretty hype in here.
This is going to be the biggest battle for quite some time. The stakes are pretty high for everyone.
>>2689454
He approves. King Cold is a very results-oriented, pragmatic person.
>>2689475
They’re sending 32,000 warships. I’d meant the 3x for their total population, not 3x the warriors. Speaking of, I haven’t posted the current Saiyan population in awhile. Will probably add that to the pastebin soon.
>>2689707
He REALLY doesn’t like his brother, and enjoys seeing him upset. And you may be able to get a match in with him, it may open his eyes.
>>
>>2689868
What is his opinion on the name though, to punnie or is it just right?
>>
>>2689868
At canon numbers that'd put Frieza at around 63.6 mil final form. At 875k that would make him 105 mil. In the paste 100% is twice the value of final form.

His second form'd be 1.75 mil and his third form 7 mil flat @ 875k base.

Pastebin still has @ 530k numbers.
>>
>>2689900
Hasn’t heard a name.
>>2689914
Seems right maybe.
>>
>>2690010
Oh.............so he didn't get our ultra catchy pun then, or did he not know we just named it after ourselves?
>>
>>2689868
>He approves. King Cold is a very results-oriented, pragmatic person.

Hah, i bet if he knew what kind of hell karn was putting frieza through, he wouldn't jump right into the same kind of training himself.
>>
>>2689868
>And you may be able to get a match in with him
Can we take him? Would he reveal his ultimate evolution if Frieza was watching?
>>
>>2690036
Karn gasn’t declared a name for his training yet. But once the results are truly in and everyone sees what they could do...
>>2690080
Oh absolutely not. Although in his youth he would have easily done it and more.
>>2690284
>Can we take him?
Possibly.
>Would he reveal his ultimate evolution if Frieza was watching?
He hasn’t discovered that form. Yet.
>>
>>2690322
>He hasn’t discovered that form. Yet.
How do they even go about discovering that?
Is it just a result of Cooler experimenting with his bio-form transformations and trying to mix and match certain qualities from certain forms?
>>
>>2690322
>Possibly.

Fucking hell, Cooler. If that answer was anything other than a resounding "No" then you need to get up and do some crunches or something. And to think he's Frieza's brother.

I want to trash talk Cooler super hard and when he snaps and tries to kill Karn Frieza comes in from the top rope and drops the universe's most atomic elbow on him.
>>
>>2690322
does anyone seem to realize how much insanely more fucking dangerous frieza is with the ki-blade technique? even frieza?
does frieza really, really want to spar with cooler and kick his smug ass?
>>
>>2690341
>tfw when come from behind for the german suplex
>it sets Cooler up so Frieza can come in with the patented Benoit Flying Headbutt
>>
>>2690351
The fact that he has energy blades, telekinesis, and tail tech makes his kinda fucking scary.
Not to mention how durable he is.
>>
>>2690338
>How do they even go about discovering that?
If he figures it out, ask him. Or maybe ask King Cold, he may remember some old legends as to how his people discovered transformations.
>>2690341
He hasn’t realized it yet. While he’s been relaxing, Karn’s been training his ass off. While Cooler was Death Beaming peons, Karn was fighting for his life.
>I want to trash talk Cooler super hard and when he snaps and tries to kill Karn Frieza comes in from the top rope and drops the universe's most atomic elbow on him.
Kek.
>>2690351
>does anyone seem to realize how much insanely more fucking dangerous frieza is with the ki-blade technique?
Freeza does. And he’s already developed two different variations of the technique as well. He is a prodigy after all.
>does frieza really, really want to spar with cooler and kick his smug ass?
Really really.
>>
>>2690492
>Really really.
Oh look, something karn and frieza have in common, a desire to bully cooler!
>>
>>2690492
is frieza happy that he trained with karn? does he realize how much more he could possibly be now?
is he glad that karn and meloka taught him to use the ki-blade, even though he didn't think much of it at first?
>>
>>2690492
>does frieza really, really want to spar with cooler and kick his smug ass?
>Really really.
Awwww, that means we have a peon that we can enjoy beating up AND not kill by accident when we train. Oh my this is looking like a very fruitful venture.
>>
>>2690492
>He is a prodigy after all.

I always felt like Z and Super never broached the fact that Frieza was surprisingly good at techniques. That thing Krillin took his time inventing? Yeah Frieza has a better version. The Dodonpa and Dodon Ray? Yeah better version. He can even do the basic bitch bigass energy waves and he has the death ball. And despite the fact he'd never truly been challenged in canon his ability to actually fight was surprisingly high. The only thing he didn't do was fire ki-blasts from his feet. The only thing Goku has going for him.
>>
>>2690520

to be fair, i dont think very many people even realized it was possible to fire ki blasts form your feet.

Karn fireing the final flash form his feet for a rocket propelled piercing/dragon fist when
>>
>>2690550
I don't see why people didn't realize it. I mean you can fire ki blasts from your mouth, hands, even eyes. But no one thought "Maybe I can stomp them out?" until Goku with his weird dumb fightbrain did it. And no one ever thought about it again.
>>
>>2690569
I think the energy body technique could be useful in that way.
Protect yourself with a coating of ki, then release energy explosively every time you make contact with an enemy.

Imagine you punch someone in the liver, and then your fist explodes on top of that.
Imagine trying to deflect someone's punch with your arm, but their arm explodes when you touch them.
>>
>>2690591
If you git gud what's stopping you from making ki blades sprouting off of your body the moment before someone punches you right in front of their fist? Too OP pls nerf.
>>
>>2690600
I've always thought something similar in multiple quests, but the GM shoots it down every time.
>>
>>2690499
Ha.
>>2690506
Yes. Yes, and Towa helped facilitate that realization.
He recognizes its uses, and has already adapted it for his own move. He’s still working on it though, its not perfect.
>>2690508
Only one month until the invasion begins.
>>2690520
>The only thing he didn't do was fire ki-blasts from his feet. The only thing Goku has going for him.
Which is just a less ki-efficient, less maneuverable and less inconspicuous flight.
>>2690550
Many realized, but, why? What possible situation would reasonably occur to require foot-based ki attacks?
>>2690591
Now you’re properly thinking further down the potential upgrade tree.
>>2690600
>>2690604
Because blade, singular, takes a moment or two to create. Blades, plural, take much longer, exponentially for each one you try and make simultaneously. You also have to have an unreasonably insane level of ki control for something like that to work at reaction speed.
>>
>>2690784
>>2690604

See, just like that. Every time.
>>
>>2690784
>Many realized, but, why? What possible situation would reasonably occur to require foot-based ki attacks?

Perhaps someone has you in a Full Nelson and the only thing you can point towards them is the sole of your foot, right up at their groin.
>>
>>2690850
the man has the wisdom of a god
surely if this information gets out, such a technique will spread like wildfire
>>
>>2690886
Think about it, if Raditz knew how to do it he would have beaten Goku and Piccolo.
>>
>>2690850
>>2690907
But he could have just flown away.
>>
>>2691748
even if he had flown up, he would still be in the unbreakable full nelson, and susceptible to attack.
truly, the full nelson is the king- nay, the god of all grappling moves.

if you find yourself in one, you may as well give up on life then and there.
>>
>>2691753
Couldn't you just pull an explosion in that circumstance?
Like a baby version of Vegeta's self-destruct
>>
Bad news guys, something’s come up that I have to go handle. Next thread delayed two hours. We’ll begin SCQ 49 at 1pm EST.

where you at, btw? i'm from alabama myself.

wew lad. Ever had chocolate gravy and biscuits? Heat up some instant pudding on the stove, make it with milk, then pour on top of proper homemade biscuits. Fucking delicious, twice as good with sausage.

Also, lake martin is waaaay, down south, as close to florida as to tennessee. I'm farther north, near huntsville towards the state line. Good bourbon in tennesee, better moonshine.

You got a hell of a drive to get down there, farm boy. Probably not as bad as my drive up to lake michigan in indiana, but not fun.

Yes.

Its not a bad drive between four drivers.
