It has been close to thirty minutes since the Mage Hunters have confronted you, and on the shore of this small jungle island, both you and they have been fighting for their lives; for your experience and weapons, their "life magic" poses a potent threat, as their flesh itself warps into forms akin to blades and even hammers. As they had bound themselves together to avoid seperation, you lit them aflame, and as the stench of burning flesh permeates throughout the area, they seperate, some merely angered, and others left naught but a deformed carcass on the sandy ground.

Last time on Innerworld, the Continental War ended, leaving Isarn shattered and Ier in a good position, though the Lopen withdrew to Upper Lopen and left the Tyranny, feeling betrayal at the hands of the Ierans. Regardless, other issues had arisen prior to the war that had yet to be settled, in particular that of the Mage Hunters; and, following a lead, a group of you had come to a remote jungle island called Mozh to confront them. Here, you met with another survivor of the Light, Zalokhash, who told you his story and offered his help after a significant amount of bickering and even violence. Now, approaching the main village on the island, you have encountered your prey, who are weakening as the battle continues...

CRITICAL SUCCESS

Though you are forced to kill one more before you have the 5 of them in custody, the god's blessing appears to be upon you, as the only other life mage on the island (and one of his Forgotten) emerges from the trees and places his hands on the group. While they are returned to a normal form, the creature assures you that they will not be able to move their bodies other than their heads for the foreseeable future, due to what he says is "a complex enough nerve twisting that any attempt to move would cause a massive amount of pain." As such, you tie them up, and, after burying your own dead, decide what to do next.

With the Mage Hunter retrieval having gone successfully and luckily, without major notice of the villagers of Mozh, the Tyrant grants the participants a small plot of land in the new (former Lopen) territories, as well as some money. The plot of the Mage Hunters is revealed during this time to the public as well; how they tried to kill off the Painted due to their large number of warlocks, and frame the Black Pad for these actions, as well as their killing of the Trow before their escape to Mozh. However, their most shocking revalation comes from the one or two who speak about their obtaining of magic; one day, while watching the pillar within the exclusion zone, strange runes appeared and glowed, and those who survived the change gained new powers, specifically life magic. It is assumed that their words are fact, but that makes the pillar all the more disturbing, as it seems it may have a mind of its own... regardless, the Tyrant has also ordered that life mages and death mages (a term used to refer to the combatants seen in Isarn proper during the war) receive special training at the College when discovered.

In other news, Loris Metalar has begun recruitment for a raid or set of raids in the human lands this year, though many in Ier are unwilling to join, due to his reputation of killing his own men. Winter has begun, as well.

The borders are suitably amended, a move seen as important, due to the current financial situation to the Tyranny, to regain money for its coffers. The Sub-Concord of Taerok is also created, though obviously, it is small, limited by the population that has only begun to regrow due to migration. The winter has passed surprisingly quickly, and it is spring now, and in other news, the raid of Loris Metalar has brought with it great success, including a new sort of animal, the horse, and thousands of human slaves along with exotic goods and the coffers of a small city for him and those he had recruited.

Loris Metalar is once again presenting himself as an important figure in the Tyranny (though possibly not entirely due to altruism), as he has donated half of his profits from the raid to the Tyranny, sustaining the rebuilding the area of Lower Lopen as well as Taerok, Augusta, and more. Lastly, the yearly culling of gnoll slaves has turned into a bit of a festival in the past few decades, and is now being called the Festival of Picking, held towards the end of the year, near the harvest time. Often, the slaves chosen are not the worst, but the fittest, done to ensure their seed cannot be spread.

(Before this starts, as the map isn't finished for Reptia, I will give an updated summary of their defenses, agriculture, and infrastructure.)

Along with signal towers along the coast of the sea, the majority of Reptian assets are concentrated towards Moundtown, with agriculture spread out there. You are unaware of major defenses on their islands, though you are aware Long Island has a naval base situated on it. Regardless, the alliance between Reptia and mainland Isarn is not broken, so you must expect the potential of some forces there, along with men from their ally, Lukidor.

Apart from your own 37k strong army, you know your protectorates can muster up 130k (the Tribal Confederation) and 5k (the Stingers). Reptia's population number is similar to your own, though Lukidor is expected to have one near, if not double that. Navally, you are superior, though little is known about the Lukidorian navy outside of its size being a bit smaller than your own.

CRITICAL SUCCESS

Though the signal towers along Reptia's coast act in its favor, there is little they can do when merely a couple days' travel would bring the full force of your amassed navy down upon them. In fact, apart from a small fleet of merchants shot down on your passage there, as you arrive in the ports next to Moundtown, the Reptian ships are abandoned, though their crews stand on the dock. In an eery silence, little but the birds and the breeze make any sound whatsoever, until, as you draw within firing distance, a small ship, big enough for perhaps 10 men, moves out to greet you, bearing with it a folded Reptian flag. The order to hold fire is sent down the chain of command, and as the ship docks next to the Ieran flagship, a second message is given: halt the advance. The Reptians have surrendered.

Sub-Tyrant, which in this situation would be Boris Dzhuro, as appointed by the Tyrant, what will you do?
>>
>>2680845
Boris Dzhuro shall order all ships to stand down for now, but remain near the port and on guard in case of any foul play. Boris shall accept Reptia's unconditional surrender. He demands that the Archon come to Ierok to formally discuss the terms of surrender, along with members of any important family.
>>
By the 15th, the Archon and members of several of the noble families in Reptia have arrived at Ierok, where, unlike the silence that defined the surrender, the aftermath is loud, perhaps intentionally so, as the defeated are led to the Concord Hall and the seat of government attached to it. There, with the situation ended peacefully, the Tyrant and the Sub-Tyrant sit in waiting in the negotiating chamber. The Archon, having been replaced after the end to the war with Isarn, is a younger man, and as he steps into the room, he asks that the nobles be allowed to stay outside in the antechamber. With that granted, the green eyed man takes a seat, waiting for the Tyrant to speak, though glancing not at him, but at the door.

"Suspicion of your companions is something wise," the older leader chuckles as he looks across the table, though a look is quickly replaced by a stare.

"Considering your actions, I think it is fair to say that, likewise, you chose the wisest way out, if one of the hardest. That is to be commended, if looked down upon by most. Regardless, with unconditional surrender, you are aware what comes next."

"I am," the Archon confirms, though quickly adding, "It could be worse. It could have been Loris."

"So it could have. Regardless, I am willing to offer Reptia a Sub-Concord, the most major sub-division of our government, though one will also be granted to your territories abroad and on the seas. We can't have you being too cozy. That, and one last thing; you will approach Isarn with the same offer we are giving you, as our envoy. If you choose not to, then we will leave you without a Sub-Concord at all."

"...Understood. I accept then."
>>
Isarn quickly acquisces, the Admiral most likely realizing what would be the alternative, and as such, by the end of the year, both Reptia and Isarn have been annexed by Ier. This is met with wide praise at home, but abroad, from both friendly and hostile perspectives, this is being met with disdain, especially by the Lukidor and the Nakh, an ally and trading partner with Reptia respectively. However, that is not to say that the current situation is without its flaws, for in both Reptia and Isarn, there is significant uproar over their surrender. The gnolls in Reptia who could have escaped have, though tens of thousands more have been caught and are being sacrificed; after all, the 5% law of years past has not changed, even with this annexation. On top of that, the Tyrant is stepping down.

Create a new holiday called Unification Day celebrating the fall of Reptia and Isarn. This shall be held on the Seventh of Suwez each year and have a weeks worth of celebration of all those who fought hard to make this happen!
>>
>>2680909
This let us focus on the unification of many into one and the less conflicts that will bring.
>>
>>2680912
>>2680909
I'll support this.
>>
As the holiday is passed, it is certainly not going to ease tensions, though it marks an important date. The most pressing thing on most people's minds, however, is the election of a new Tyrant as the old one steps down. Ier now dominates the continent, but the potential for unrest has never been higher, and Tyrant Halftwig has left large shoes to fill. However, as part of the negotiations, neither Isarn nor Reptia can vote in the next thirty years, causing tension along with a better chance for a Ieran to win.

Issues:

>How to deal with unrest among the cultures
>Dealing with smaller neighbors (The trade city north of Isarn, the Isarnite Archipelago, the Lopen, etc.)
>How to handle foreign hostility towards Ier as the dominant power
>Diplomacy with humans going forward
>What to focus on first in this new era (Ier, Reptia, or...)
And of course, the other relevant points (Rhetoric, which is optional, is new):

>Name
>Age
>Culture
>Religion
>Rhetoric (optional)
>Goal
>>
>>2680992
>How to deal with unrest among the cultures

The time of other nations are done, some have fallen before Ier and others have joined with Ier by their free will. Thus those loyal to Ier of the Isan and Tannish are as true to Ierans as any others, we should look towards a melding of our peoples and cultures as one. Those who have fallen before us have shown themselves as weak with only the annals of history remembering them.

>Dealing with smaller neighbors.

The Lopen are a staunch ally of Ier and shall remain independent with a guarantee of the Tyranny to uphold that. All other Ghoulish states shall be brought into Ier with time either through diplomacy or war, those non-ghoulish states shall be brought in as protectorates over time as well.

>How to handle foreign hostility towards Ier as the dominant power

They shall learn to accept it or be crushed under the bootheel of the Tyranny.

>Diplomacy with humans going forward

They are a cattle race, hardly our concern. If they do rise up will shall crush them.

>What to focus on first in this new era

The focus of this new era is the centralization of power and infrastructure in Ier. Those who have been subjugated need to be properly brought into the Ieran system and their economies changed to mesh properly with ours. This shall been an era of construction and kinship, we shall see Ier rise to new heights and all Isa along with it.

>How to deal with unrest among the cultures
Unrest shall be dealt with swiftly. If it gets out of hand Martial law will be imposed upon the area to restore order. However, if the Unrest is light, then we shall leave it to the sub-concords to deal with the unrest as they see fit. As for ending it in the long term we will gradually assimilate all cultures within Ier into one culture. A ghoulish culture. This new "ghoulish culture" shall be similar to the existing Ieran culture, however that does not mean that Reptian and Isarnite culture shall be erased, we shall include important parts of their culture and ensure that in the end as many ghouls as possible are satisfied with the end result.

>Dealing with smaller neighbors (The trade city north of Isarn, the Isarnite Archipelago, the Lopen, etc.)
The Trade City north of Isarn and the Archipelago west of it is none of our concern, we must focus on uniting into one coherent nation, and establishing ourselves first. In time we shall conquer them using our military. As for the Lopen, they shall come back to us in time, without us they will become nothing. We shall accept them with open arms as a Protectorate.

>How to handle foreign hostility towards Ier as the dominant power
As Ierans, our military has been, and still is the strongest on the continent. Likewise, our navy is also strong. The Strong do not care about what the weak have to say. Most foreign nations will not be able to resist us.

>Diplomacy with humans going forward
Humans are not our concern for now. They are far away and do not have much to offer us at the moment. Perhaps in time we shall be able to establish contacts, but for now it is not worth our while. Using them as Slaves is fine.

>What to focus on first in this new era (Ier, Reptia, or...)
In this new Era, we must focus on pulling ourselves together. In the current state, even though we are technically one nation, we are as divided as ever. We must focus on bringing ourselves together into a state that is fully unified, and fully ready to take on whatever comes its way. We shall expand our control over the continent, and firmly ensure it is within our grasp by the end.

And of course, the other relevant points (Rhetoric, which is optional, is new):

>How to deal with unrest among the cultures
Try not to intrude upon the cultures of our new members of our nation while helping to rebuild, restore order, and promote prosperity

>Dealing with smaller neighbors (The trade city north of Isarn, the Isarnite Archipelago, the Lopen, etc.)
Keep our relations focused on trade and peaceful interaction.

>How to handle foreign hostility towards Ier as the dominant power
Not use it rashly. Once Ier recovers we will be secure and not need to embark on expansionist campaigns.

>Diplomacy with humans going forward
At the moment there is not much contact with them aside from a few minor interactionactions but the first steps would be to establish a familiarity with the humans and their situation.

>What to focus on first in this new era (Ier, Reptia, or...)

Boris Dzhuro clinches the position with a number of votes, though Eoeri Gaeran was not far behind; it appears that while the Ieran public, especially those with origins abroad, are not too keen on a harsh approach to handling this delicate situation, national loyalties worked out, especially as the pan-ghoulish focus rather than a national one allowed for onlookers such as the Ash Walkers and the House of Ivory to support him. In other news, a full census of the new Ieran territories has begun, as with tensions high the new government has decided it would rather know now than later. Summer has also started.

With the East Lopen already hesitant to engage with Ieran figures of note such as yourselves, your plans do not go entirely as you had hoped... Indeed, after your group is caught up with individuals said to be involved on a plot on their current King's life, you are expelled from the island, and whatever you had brought with you and acquired there was confiscated. Whatever relationship you had tried to build there was no doubt shattered by your actions, though good will may be able to save your relationship. (Brotherhood receives -3 to interactions with the East Lopen).

Despite the good will shown in voting, it appears that among Ierans, nationalism is higher than pan-ghoulish sentiment, contrary to what was believed. It appears many cast their vote for Boris due to his policies of assimilation, though they do not believe in the "pan-ghoulish culture", which has been shown by protests outside the Concord Hall, most significantly by many women left without husband, brother, or father by the wars of decades prior, which are mostly blamed on Isarn. The census has been completed, in other news.

While you fall short of any wild successes due to the domination of the smithing market by the Metalar family, in the south, due to the even now ongoing rebuilding of the region, both Augusta and Kronova are most certainly taken advantage of by workers, as moving back and forth between Ier would take more time. As such, your fledgling smithies do see some success.

It turns out horses are not camels, and you have no idea what you're doing with them. With your clansmen utterly incompetent in breeding animals aside from camels, the final straw breaks when one of your men dies from some kind of disease after engaging in some form of activity with one of the horses. You burn them, believing them to be cursed. As for the other projects, you already are the dominant power in Ieran construction, so, eh. Your camp up north is created, while the camp near the bridge is revitalized, and the majority of the population settles in Ierok, like normal people.
>>
With reconstruction nearly complete, but roads still being built, a significant portion of the Tyranny's resources are being consumed at the moment, though the phasing out of the old currencies of the new territories has allowed for the coffers to be somewhat refilled even as the drain continues. The native populations of both regions show no real resistance to this, as currency is meaningless without buying power, though the project most likely won't be complete for a decade or so yet. Fall begins now, after a short summer.

There is significant protest to your action, but no organized violence, despite some attacks on Ierans in the area. However, a mass exodus does appear to have begun from your Reptian territories to Lukidor and East Lopen, with the former even offering land to Reptian ghouls wishing to settle in their nation. However, under the Tyrant's orders, most of the ships have been forced to turn back by a blockade, and a smaller portion of those who Reptians who have attempted to escape are moving through the Ashlands, still trying to reach their goal. A not insignificant portion of the population is doing this, and while most Reptians had quieted down on the issue of Moundtown, the blocking of the movement of their former compatriots has caused a resurgence of complaints. There are fears that this could lead to organization of rebel or smuggler groups, as well. The roads will be finished by next year, however, and in two years time a number is meant to be given on the number of boats held by each national fleet prior to the annexations, allowing for readjustment of size.

Tyrant, if you will attempt to stop the movement north, say so.

The Lukidorians have escalated the situation, landing their troops on the main continent (where you reside) to escort the Reptians to their ships. However, as this was done, the Tyrant issued an ultimatum, demanding they leave the continent (which de facto implies he claims it entirely for Ier) or they will be removed, and their ships blockaded. This has caused a response from East Lopen, who had remained neutral. Stating that they don't believe Lukidor's actions to be inherently neutral, they point out the fact that you evicted these people, and have thus given up any right to claim them. They also point out that the land on which the Lukidorians are treading was claimed by no nation, and by doing so, the Tyrant is the one advancing towards conflict. Perhaps emboldened by this, you receive a response from the Lukidorians shortly after, declaring that until the roughly 5,000 Reptians they have now come into contact with are brought to safety, they will not leave. They have roughly 50 ships in the area directly north of the jungle but south of Makh-Khor, with them all being for the purposes of transportation of men and goods. However, it is assumed if they are saying this, they will move in more ships if they spot movement from Ier's own.

Request that the Ringborn stand by the Pact of the Strip and to help us prevent foreign ships from entering into the strait. This is an act of aggression against them too by violating the pact. Just for clarification: The Lukidor are violating the Pact of the Strip by unlawfully passing through the waters.

Seeing your actions, the East Lopen refuses to send boats and has thus violated the terms of the pact, but the Ringborn are more than willing, and have blockaded the north of the Strip. As such, as 150 ships (the rest of the navy apart from the 50 blockading Reptian vessels) are more than enough to block the passage of the Lukidorians. However, ships carrying roughly a third of the Reptian ghouls have already passed to Lukidor, and now only 1,000 soldiers ashore and 4,000 Reptians remaining, well, remain. However, the Lukidorians quickly send you a response, stating that if you allow their men ashore to starve, they will view it as Ier declaring war. They are willing to allow the citizens to remain, but only if Ier will grant the Lukidorian ships free passage to pick up their own men. They also point out the fact that the Pact of the Strip was a Ieran invention, and they did not agree to it, meaning legally to them it means nothing.

While Lukidor has indeed lost face by being forced back on their promises, East Lopen has confirmed their backing out of the Pact of the Strip, and with the Reptians in an uproar, no side has gained a clear advantage. Despite that, life continues, and the roads are finished.

While you have the proper stockpiles, infrastructure in Isarn and Reptia is checked to make sure that if food needs to be moved, there is the necessary support there for it to be stored. Winter is the dryest time of year, meaning less rainfall. In other news, rumors abound about the human lands currently. It appears that a rebel group has been gaining significant power there, and mean to put an end to the conflicts that have dominated the city-states in the region for centuries.

At the same time, the Ringborn tell you that they have made contact with a new group of gnolls, existing somewhere to the east of their land... going on what you know, they could be the original tribe from which all the gnolls you know came from.

Saddles are slowly becoming more sophisticated as time goes on, with improvement focusing mainly on comfort rather than support; after all, though dirt roads have been created, they are often not enough to support heavy transport, something noted as the oldest roads have been undergoing maintenance due to disrepair. The jungle roads in particular require regular clearing, and areas with heavy rainfall are often muddy. This is merely a worry, however; after all, winter is quite dry.

You have begun to construct stone paving for roads in the Ieran region, as a start to a greater roadway system that will more easily deal with weather. While this is a drain on resources, it is decided by the government that it is best to do now, before the rainy season comes in summer. In other news, the Lesser Isans in the jungle appear to be isolating themselves from other Ieran groups, including a lack of trade. While this is not rebellion, it is causing worry that seperating them is causing the divide between them and Ier to grow.

To begin with, warlocks of a different type can't breed with each other. More importantly though, the snake warlocks called the Mokh, dwelling in the Isarnite Archipelago, do not like Ierans due to the war, and your time is utterly wasted.

>>2690711

Difficulty: Normal
You see a tidy profit within the first decade, as cannabis is popularized within Ier; such a smokable product has only been heard of in the human lands, which makes it seem exotic, while hemp is just quite useful in general.

Personal Project
Difficulty: Very Hard
While it generally difficult to appease him, the god takes a liking to you, perhaps as one of the quieter groups on the expedition. While he knows little of substance, he does tell you that the other Ringbearers he knew of, and Ier knew of, had been doing much the same as Gwanraw or them; searching for the connection between the pillars and the Light, or settling down.
>>
Tactically, you aim to replicate what had given Isarn an advantage on the seas; while their grand strategy revolved around effective blockades to cut off the islands of their archipelago before invasion, the tactics surrounding attack was quite different. Circling the enemy fleet if it is in a group, they would pick off ships that strayed from the fleet, and tighten the circle enough to ram if the enemy formation showed weakness. This was most effective against slower ships, who could not outspeed their vessels; similarly, your vessels are also known to be the fastest around, as you pioneered the effective combination of biremes and sails. For faster fleets, however, they would have ships pair up into twos, and feign retreat; then, if the enemy went for one Isarnite ship, they would have the other ram into the offending vessel and use hooks to grapple onto it, while the rammed Isarnite ship would do the same to the friendly vessel. This way, they created a numbers advantage in terms of boarding combat, and removed the naval weakness by changing the battlefield.

Oh, and spring has begun.

>>
A week and a half after you have issued the proclaimation declaring your dominion, you receive a response from the northern mainland of Isarn, now merely called North Isarn.

"Tyrant Dzhuro,

If you believe that idle threats will cause us to give up our sovereignty, that is false. As it is now, some of your Isarnite population is already joining their brothers and moving north to take up arms with us; what's more, we have an alliance with the Liberation Army (the city-state rebels) and they are more than willing to pay you back for attacking their people. If you choose to go to war, as well, the Lukidor will likely make their move, and perhaps our brothers on the islands as well. Back down, or see your new territory stripped from you.

- Lord-Minister of Northern Isarn,

Prown Az'dan"

The name is recognizable of course; he clearly bears some relation to the late Admiral of Isarn, who had relinquished the nation's statehood and subjugated it to you, along with assisting Ier in the war past. What's more, their threat of people joining them is known to be the case, as reports are also coming in of some Isarnites in Ier moving north to join their army, both in protest of the stripping of New Isarn of power and this new war. The claims about the human alliance cannot be substantiated though.

Tyrant, what will you do?
>>
>>2693620
Back down, this isn't worth spilling blood over for now.
>>
With the threat averted, most of the Isarnites who had moved north to join them have moved back, though unrest remains. Some suggest making those who left Lesser Isans. However, with human ships spotted by the Ringborn moving towards the continent, and reports of humans in Northern Isarn by the end of the year, it does appear that the alliance between the two groups exists. The majority of the population supports not going to war, though they believe that the time to enforce Ieran hold on the continent will come soon. The roads in Ier have also finished construction.

Use the Enforcers and Scribes in the area who have been trained in Ierok or are Ieran themselves to identify those who left.
>>
>>2693900
I concur, also ahead of the Enforcers arriving have our own men blend in and identify those whom are trying to hide their crimes ready for the Enforcers
>>
Enforcers and Scribes go to work punishing those identifiable as leaving, as they are placed by the authorities, and not the communities in which they live. Though some may have slipped through the cracks, the majority of the public is scared into line, or have at least keep further complaints quiet. The sub-concords are thus formed without issue. Other issues have arisen though; in the south, the new gnollish Matriarch, having risen to power in place of her mother (the daughter of the Matriarch who agreed to the Protectorate status) who abdicated the moment she received the throne, seems to not share the same thoughts of her grandmother on Protectorate status.

The clouds are heavy as the Matriarch and her party approach Ierok from the grasslands; perhaps due to the threat of ghouls not in the know encountering them, they have chosen not to take the road. While the meeting place has not been hastily erected, it is outside of Ierok, as to avoid any ghoul-gnoll violence that may be caused by the citizens in the city. They spot it, of course, and approach; it is a drab thing, built of limestone and without decoration, but it will do, bearing a roof that the gnolls use as shelter once the rain begins to come down. And it does so, fast and heavy.

Once seated inside the building, the usual pleasantries are exchanged, but the atmosphere is tense. For the Tyrant this represents another possible embarassment at home, and for the Matriarch, it could mean many things. It is left for the Tyrant to speak first, as he is the one hosting the event.

"Greetings, Matriarch.
I understand you have been having problems with your status as a protectorate of Ier. Could you elaborate on these problems so I could address them?"
>>
"My people are giving their money to me with the expectation it is being used well, and I cannot in good faith say that if, as a nation who lost shockingly to yours in the previous war, we are not striving to improve ourselves, and are merely throwing ourselves into conflicts as those before us did. Several times we have come into conflict with you, and each time, we have showed ourselves underprepared. Yet, instead of as the agreement stipulated, I have given up 15% of my kingdom's income for nothing. It is not as if you are preparing us for war against you; the Marez present a problem to both of us, especially with the pact you agreed to fading. However, with no training, no equipment, and not even messages provided to us as a return on investment, let alone a show of good faith, I have nothing more to conclude than we are a sacrifice for you, not someone who you are in union with. What are you willing to do to address this?"
>>
>>2694218
"I understand that the Marez are a threat, and the tyrant before me has done little to keep to the agreement that was made. I will change that. To address your grievances I shall do the following. First, we shall send a group of army trainers along with your party when you return south to teach your people how to fight. More trainers will follow after that. In addition, we will have our smiths make weapons and armor to send to you so you can equip your gnolls with weapons and armor. That should be enough to prepare your people for war. Will that suffice?"
>>
"Yes. However, you cannot just send us armor and weapons if you know not what tactics you have prepared. It would be a fool's errand. On top of that, how will you recompense us for over a decade of wasted money?"
>>
(Assume Concord members are there as well)
>>
>>2694292
"I believe that both The Metalars and The Painted have planned out some tactics that could be effective for gnolls. Due to this I shall send them both in order to see which tactics fit best for the gnolls. In addition, since The Metalars are the premiere smiths within our nation, It will also be their job to arm the gnolls appropriately."

"As for compensation, you will be exempted from paying the tax for the next decade."
>>
>>2694486
"I want nothing to do with the Painted, if you wish for them to do the tactics feel free to command them so."
>>
>>2694486
"By your command Tyrant, come Metalar surly we can work together for the good of the Tyranny?"
>>
>>2694504
"You have no training in military matters, I have spent my entire life under the tutelage of Loris and training at the College of War. I shall not be placed on the same level as the likes of you."
>>
>>2694494
"I understand Metalar. Your orders are to supply the weapons necessary for the gnolls."

>>2694504
"I will allow you to teach the Gnolls tactics, if you fail me, I will swiftly replace you with the Metalars, is that understood?"
>>
>>2694527
"If we fail that is only right, I do not plan to fail you or the Gnolls are promise to aid"
>>
>>2694292
The Clan of Erabenim could, if you wish, send a team of masons to 'scout' Zhik Faraw's architecture. If we can help, we could set up a mason's guild to teach your people.

pretend there are quotation marks there

"Clan Erabenim, this is no place to be discussing business deals, save it for another time."
>>
The Painted Ghoul present having simply accept his task and not tried to cause a scene seems somewhat depressed as his dead pan expression persists through out the meeting and the bickering in the background.

he speaks to the Gnoll Matriarch "My Clan will do what we can to see Ierok heeds its side of the bargain and train your people. We look forward to working with you."

he offers a slight nod despite his internal pain as he thinks to himself...
"How did we even get this far"
