The remaining fighters of the Cell Games stand in a circle, back to back, sunglasses adorning their faces to protect them from a sudden Solar Flare attack from yet another enemy who has seemingly returned from the dead. The scrap metal of the resurrected androids that came to the wasteland designated for Cell's fateful competition now joins the rubble and rock littering the barren landscape. They struck while you and your friends were wounded and weak, but still found themselves the ones slain in the ensuing battle.

Yet they accomplished precisely what they'd hoped. Their attack provided a distraction long enough for Cell to regenerate without becoming imperiled by attack from yourself or any of Earth's other defenders. How Cell even survived his own detonation is a mystery to you, as you were certain he'd been incinerated along with Lapis and much of the landscape. But Cell has once again proven every bit the cockroach he appears to be, and defied death to torment you and your world once more.

At your left, Goku tenses, and you hear Trunks inhale to your right. It takes only half a second to understand these reactions. Cell has stopped hiding, and the power he's giving off hits you like a freight train, freezing your blood and sending your heart into a marathon. This is worse than you feared. His strength hasn't stayed the same as when he self-destructed. It hasn't even risen to the power of his perfect form.

No, this energy eclipses anything you've ever felt from Cell before.

Above you, the sky goes dark as thick storm-clouds roll in, shooting forth lightning that illuminates the looks of dread on everyone's faces. A howling wind kicks up dust, and a new flash of lightning briefly reveals a familiar shape within the clouds.

"It-it can't be!" Yamcha gulps in despair. "There's no way that can be him!"

Another flash of light pierces the darkness, but this time it comes not from lightning, but from a red beam that bursts from the clouds, announcing its successful journey with a gasp of pain from the largest warrior among you, the Ox King.

You spin around to see the mountain of a man crumble to the ground, a scorch-mark on his breastplate right above his heart. No more sounds emerge from his lips, and his body makes no movement, save that causes by the raging winds that assail you and the others.

"Daddy!" Chi-Chi cries in despair.

"Grampa!" Konattsu howls, equally horrified.

From above, barely audible over the howling wind, you can hear faint, infuriating laughter.

Chi-Chi and Konattsu are understandably crowding around Ox King, desperately attempting to save him from the clutches of death. You hope they succeed, but you don't know if anybody even found the Senzu Beans, so it might very well be a fruitless effort. For now, though, you can't worry about that. You need to stand ready so that you don't meet the same fate.

"Forgive me for making that so fast, but I wanted to start clearing some of the trash off the battlefield, and I don't like to waste my time," Cell states from the clouds above. "Then again, I suppose he was lucky. He died before the terror could truly take hold."

The monster descends, and as his form departs the cover of the clouds, you can plainly see that he has indeed returned in his perfect form. But, there's some minor differences to be seen. A golden aura, much like that of a Super Saiyan, surrounds his body, and sparks of electricity dance and crackle through that aura.

"How are you even alive?" you demand of the monster, not moving a muscle.

Cell fixes his gaze upon you, lips curling upward in a satisfied grin. "You can think the ingenious work of Doctor Gero. Truthfully, I'm just as surprised as you that I'm alive, but we both should have realized long ago that there's no destroying perfection."

"That's not an answer!" Trunks shouts at the revived creature.

Cell closes his eyes and chuckles. "Oh, Trunks, you try to talk so big, but you can't hide the fear you're feeling. I can hear it in your voice, I can see it in your eyes. And you're right to be afraid, because if you were weaker than me before, you don't even compare now."

"It doesn't matter how strong you are," Goku declares. "We will defeat you!"

Cell opens his eyes. "There's that delusion again. If you couldn't defeat me before, Goku, what chance do you think you have now? I know thinking isn't your strong point, but come on..."

His eyes shift back to you. "Perhaps the answer to your question, Tofoo, will allow the gravity of my power to sink in. As I said before, I did not expect to survive the explosion, but it seems that the cells of Piccolo, Freeza, and others like them within my body caused me to become more durable than I realized. Even still, a single cell was all that remained of me. But that was enough. That single cell began to multiply, and soon my body began to reform. Doctor Gero's intervention gave me the time I needed to regenerate, and before long, I was whole once more!"

He looks down at his left hand, which he opens and closes with a smile. "I was once again surprised by the realization that I had not only returned from the brink of death, but had come back in my perfect form despite the absence of Chaozu. It seems simply experiencing that level of power allowed my cells to recreate it. As you can imagine, I was delighted. But it gets better than that, Tofoo..."

He looks back up at you, chuckling to himself. "Thanks to the cells of Goku and the other Saiyans in me, I grow far stronger each time I recover from serious injury. The greater the damage, the more desperate the struggle for survival, the greater the increase in power! And I was but a single cell away from complete annihilation. Judging by the looks on your faces, you understand what that means."

"Dammit...how do we stop something that can come back from nothing but a single cell?" Piccolo growls.

"I'm not so sure we can...." Tenshinhan admits, his usually stoic tone laced with palpable fear.

"This is nuts...." Yamcha laments. "No matter what any of us do, this damn freak just comes back stronger than ever!"

Cell grins at your friends. "That's it! That's exactly what I'd hoped to see! Faces full of fear, souls full of despair, the perfect terror that I inspire!"

"That will change very soon, Tofoo," the monster replies. "But if you're feeling so confident, what do you say we have a little rematch? I'm dying to pay you back for the beating you gave me last time."

"CELL!" Chi-Chi roars from behind you.

You're taken aback as you feel a colossal jolt in the woman's power. It multiplies ten times, no, twenty, no, still rising....

Chi-Chi marches past you, Goku, and Trunks, her body bathed in the crimson aura of the Kaio-Ken technique. You aren't sure just how many times she's multiplied her power, but frankly, her body shouldn't be able to withstand it. She should be able to keep this up for a few seconds at most.

Yet, she doesn't collapse, and her power doesn't vanish. In fact, it only continues to increase as she takes step after step toward Cell, who regards her with a small amount of interest.

"You took my husband, you took my father...." Chi-Chi half growls, half sobs. "I WON'T LET YOU TAKE ANYONE ELSE!"

There's another explosion of power from her, and you're forced to shield yourself from the sudden burst of energy. That this kind of power is coming from Chi-Chi is frankly unbelievable, as is the fact that it hasn't destroyed her body yet.

"Poor girl," Cell remarks with mock-pity. "I'm going to take everyone on this pitiful rock. But since you're missing Krillin and the pathetic excuse for a fighter you call "daddy", I'll gladly let you be the first to go and join them."

Chi-Chi lets out another furious vocalization, then locks her elbows at her sides and screams at the top of her lungs, "KAIO-KEN TIMES FIFTY!"

You must have heard her wrong. Even a Kaio-Ken times twenty would be pushing it. Fifty would rip any warrior to pieces. Yet, there she stands, radiating incredible power with no signs of strain.

Without another word, she explodes forward, charging Cell with the full brunt of her furious power. The smirking bug-man drops into a defensive stance, and the two join in battle.

"When did she learn to do that?" Lazuli questions, befuddled.

"No idea," Yamcha replies. "But I'm not complaining. It looks like she might handle Cell for us."

You're less sure.

"Goku," you address your friend, who takes his eyes off of the battle to look at you.

Ignoring the tremendous powers dueling in the distance, you consider the best course of action for destroying Cell. Chi-Chi's power is amazing, but you don't know if it will be enough to defeat Cell. You want to create the greatest power you can to destroy this monster once and for all. And there's one technique that comes to mind right away.

"We should try a fusion," you suggest to your friend.

Goku doesn't look thrilled at the idea, but he doesn't dismiss it, either. Instead, he glances back in the direction of the fighting, which is going so fast that you can't even keep track of it without devoting your full attention, then looks back to you and gives a reluctant nod.

Chi-Chi is certainly keeping Cell distracted, meaning that you and Goku should be free to perform the fusion without interference. You haven't done this with your friend since you trained to fight the androids. Together, you and Goku had wielded incredible power, but when you attempted to put that power to use in battle, the results were not great. The two of you had gotten too drunk off your own power, your arrogance causing you to make sloppy mistakes and leave yourself unguarded. This time, both you and Goku know what's at stake, and if you die, it will be for keeps. The two of you will have the will and focus to win this battle, the only question is whether or not you'll have the strength.

Before you find out, there's something else you want to know about. You remind Goku that he's previously claimed Kori was stronger than either of you. He'd spoken about incredible power hidden within the girl, and you wonder if he still thinks she would be strong enough to defeat Cell.

"It's hard to say," Goku admits. "The Cell you fought earlier? She definitely has the power to deal with him. With how he is now, I really don't know, and I don't want to push her to let that much power out if we don't have to. I'm still worried she won't be able to totally control it."

Well, at least there's a plan B if things don't work out with the fusion.

"Are you ready?" Goku asks you, sounding like he just wants to get this over with.

You give a nod, and the two of you take your positions. Then, moving in unison, the two of you perform the fusion dance in perfect mirrors of one another, ending by touching your fingertips together.

And in that moment, Goku and Tofoo cease to be.

Two minds, two bodies, two energies merge into one, giving birth to a single being of tremendous power. A mighty combination of two of Earth's greatest defenders, greater even than the combined powers of Goku and Tofoo.

At the sudden appearance of your power, Chi-Chi and Cell halt their fighting, looking toward the new warrior that has entered the battlefield. Your power shines like a star, and the light of your aura fulfills that comparison even further as more storm clouds gather overhead, the thunder heralding your presence.

You take a step forward, keeping your eyes on Cell's. Neither of you avert your eyes, neither of you blink, you simply stare one-another down as you draw closer and closer.

Chi-Chi's power takes a nosedive, and that draws your eyes her way, worried that she's burnt herself out. You're relieved to see that while she does look slightly winded, there's no signs of actual damage as a result of the Kaio-Ken. It seems she powered down of her own volition.

"Ah, fusion," Cell observes from his lofty position. "I was wondering when you'd dust off that technique. Perhaps this will give me a chance to truly test my new power."

"This fusion isn't a test," you explain to Cell in a voice combining that of Tofoo and Goku. "It's a death sentence."

A surge of power rushes through your body, the hair on your head stands tall and turns golden, as does the aura surrounding your body. The both familiar and alien feeling of becoming a Super Saiyan washes over you, as does the shared thrill of fighting a strong opponent, and the shared determination to crush Cell like the bug he is.

Cell smirks, slowly descending to the ground and landing a short distance ahead of you. Without prompting, the two of you slowly step forward, casually walking toward one another before finally meeting in the middle. There the two of you stand, practically nose to nose, neither one moving a muscle at first.

Then, at the same instant, your powers flare up, and the two of you leap into the air, maintaining the same position in relation to one another until you climb above the storm clouds. You make the first strike once the sun shines upon you, bringing your right knee up into Cell's stomach. He follows suit with a punch to your gut, and a head-butt to your jaw, throwing your head back and allowing him to recover from his hunched posture before he throws a kick at your throat.

Spinning your body, you catch him by the ankle and begin to swing him round and around as you spin in a circle. He kicks out with his free leg, catching you in the face and freeing himself. With blinding speed, you circle behind him, slamming your elbow between his shoulder-blades before performing a spin-kick to his back that sends him flying.You move to cut him off and punch at his face, but he brings up an arm in time to block, and the two of you begin exchanging attacks.

This fight is closer than you were hoping it would be. You can certainly land some strong hits on Cell, and take what he throws at you, at least so far, but he seems just as able to do the same. As the two of you furiously punch and kick, neither of you manage to land a successful blow, until a knee-strike manages to break through his defenses and strike him in the nose. With a yell, you follow up with a bone-shattering punch to the face.

Cell spins with the impact and retaliates with a back-knuckled punch to your face, which you answer by grabbing his wrist and attempting to strike with your free hand. Cell catches your wrist, but you open your fist and fire a ball of energy right into his face.

He loses his hold on your wrist, but you keep your hold on his, keeping him in place as you ready yourself to fire up another blast. But Cell's palm slams into yours with a loud clap, and he locks fingers with you, using his own energy to keep you from unleashing your own against him. In that same moment, his captured hand points toward your face, and you barely move your head in time to avoid being hit by a red beam of light. Taking advantage of your distraction, Cell head-butts you once again, causing you to lose your grip, and allowing him to join his hands above his head in a single fist, which he brings down on the top of your skull, knocking you right out of the sky.

As you fall, you bring two fingers to your forehead, travelling in a single instant to move behind Cell. He spins around, but has no chance to strike or block before your right hand wraps around his throat and you begin to dive toward the ground, dragging the monster along with you. Glaring daggers, Cell reaches up and wraps his hands around your throat, prompting you to have your free hand join in choking him. The two of you spin as you fall toward the Earth, with you at first at the higher altitude pushing down, then finding yourself below Cell, and so on, until the two of you shift so that you both slam onto the ground feet-first, the rock beneath you crumbling as you land.

The two of you stand before one another, hands around each-other's throats. You go for a knee strike, but Cell blocks it with his leg before making the same move with his other, which you block with yours. You bring your head forward into Cell's nose, loosening his grip enough for you to fire off a bear shout into his face, which causes him to lose his grip on your throat, and lift off the ground.

Not wasting any time, you begin to move your arms in a technique that's an old favorite of yours. They move at such speed that they give the appearance of being eight rather than two, and you focus your energy to give them an extra jolt when they strike.

You're upon Cell right away, mercilessly pummeling the monster with all that you have, your fists striking, electricity shooting through his body, the fury of a Super Saiyan born of two of the planet's greatest warriors barreling down upon him. Cell cannot block or retaliate, your strikes too fast, the electricity causing his muscles to twitch, throwing him off when he attempts to answer in any way. You take great pleasure in using this creature as a punching bag, and knowing that you're inflicting pain on him, but you realize that you won't defeat him like this.

Letting out a mighty yell, you land an uppercut that sends Cell soaring into the sky above. As he lifts higher and higher off the ground, you bring your hands to your side, cupping them together and gathering up your energy.

"Ka....me....ha....me.....HAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!"

Roaring out the name of the attack, you thrust your hands up toward the monster, unleashing a colossal wave of blue light that races up after him. He disappears from sight as the massive wave takes over most of your view.

You stop feeding the blast only when you detect movement behind you, and spin around just in time to spot a red, spiraling beam of light heading right for you.

You quickly evade the attack, glad you sensed it when you did, and begin to close in on Cell. As you move to engage your foe once again, you consider whether you can even defeat him at this rate. Sure, you're hurting him and holding your own, but can you kill him before the fusion runs out? You aren't sure, and that does not sit well with you. No, better to be safe than sorry. You need more power, and you know how to get it.

You've never attempted it before, but if you can combine Super Saiyan with the power of the Kami-Ken, then you should have more than enough power to pick Cell apart. At the last moment before you reach your target, you dip into your godly ki, feeling a tremendous surge of energy.....

.....and crying out in agony as the energy overwhelms your body.

Your limbs and muscles pulse and contort in hideous and torturous ways, the energy within expanding and moving and flaring in ways you can't even keep track of, much less control. Your attack breaks off, and you fall to the ground at Cell's feet, screaming as you desperately attempt to get a handle on your energy.

Cell looks down at you with a smirk. "Well, it seems like we've found your limit, haven't we Toku? Or is it Gofoo? Oh, who cares? The point is you're done."

You attempt to pick yourself up, or at least find some smart-assed way to reply to Cell, but you can't control your body enough to move, and Cell suddenly stomping on your back eliminates any chance of snark coming from you.

"How disappointing!" Cell remarks, sounding more angry than happy at the battle's outcome. "I thought I might get a chance to show off my full power. But, I guess I expected too much of you two."

He pulls his right leg back, then kicks you with all of his might, sending you sailing into the air, unable to stop yourself, unable to move, unable to do anything but scream as the maelstrom of energy rages within you.

You can barely make out the figure of Cell on the ground below, and a bright light emanating from him. Your eyes go wide in horror as he raises his hands above his head, and a massive orb of energy, that looks like a sun about to die, forms above him.

Then, the flaming ball of death begins moving toward you. Unable to move, unable to defend, you tense up and cringe as you prepare for either agony or oblivion.

Instead, what you get is someone putting them-self between you and the attack, and after a second, you realize that it's Konattsu. The green aura of the Kami-Ken flares around her, and her energy rises as she lets out a yell and thrusts her hands to stop the oncoming attack.

The ball reaches her, and you're both shocked and relieved to see that it doesn't immediately overwhelm and consume her. Still, though, you can already tell that she's seriously struggling with it.

The feeling of someone else grabbing you distracts you from Konattsu, and you quickly see red-hair out of the corner of your eye. It looks like Kori came to get you to safety while Konattsu fends off Cell's attack to the best of her ability.
