Previously on Caster Quest we saw an end to a fair share of our troubles: The pieces of the Phylactery Device were handed off to the Architect where they were cleaned, repurposed, and are now being used in his own various schemes and plots. Peace was made between the Homunculi Community and Cheval's Orcs in Pug (for whatever good the word of an Orc is) and the two plan on working together to capture and detain Cheval's Cousin Mimas from the paranormal grip of Catherine.
We also finally saw a conclusion to our rivalry with a rogue Skeletal Mage who had not-so-quietly developed into an Evil Shadow Twin of ourselves: determined to abandoned all illusion of morality in his personal quest to be superior. We think we 'ate' him?

BONUS ART! A Whole new batch of Undead ID profiles: http://spaghettiart.tumblr.com/post/174702540117/this-week-were-absolutely-overwhelmed-by-a-whole

Getting back to it you're currently at home, cozy and comfortable. You can hear the torrential rains outside beating down on your little villa and you're quite content and proud. Flush with a plethora of goodies nicked from your Evil Psychic Shadow's laboratory: he had been poisoning the indigenous BeastMen of Planter's Jungle for parts, well now they're your parts, you also managed to acquire his personal works- a rare and sensitive find indeed.

Accepting new actions. You're riding the high of your success, but this is no time to rest on your laurels, the rainy season will end in a few weeks.

>Roll 13- Fortuitous Supernatural results.

After picking up Avarice, apologizing, and slipping him a fist of spare change to snack on (you think that's what he does with it, right? He's shacking his head, hmn. ) You head down to your lab and get down to some old fashioned meditating to see what the hell is going on with your other inner demon: Shadow You.
Your evil side doesn't seem particularly interested in discussing anything of significance. You try and tell him if he's going to be living in your head or heart or wherever that he needs to cooperate with the others and that if he was more compliant with such notions maybe he wouldn't be extra-dead.
Get back to work. Never mind me or my distaste in your choice in hired help. You've a mountain of corpses to work with and you're just playing.
Hmn.

>>2632061
>Create a golem designed to collect the rain and use the rest of the rain to make itself larger?
>Roll 38/100

You are temporarily one of the smaller Golems.
You are made of ice, topped with snow, and are waddling out to try and collect rain water in a dish of ice so you can freeze it and make yourself bigger because you were told to do that. The rain is warm though, outside is warm, the mud and grass is getting your perfect crystal ice all dirty and smudging the snow you've piled onto yourself today. You don't like this. This is bad. You're going back into the cavern.
>Thematic conflict. An Ice Golem doesn't 'like' water.

>Send our gnolls and our Tower Golem to Scavenge the rot wood to collect resources.
>Roll 2, 10.

You are also the Tower Golem.
You are big, you are fortified, you are strong, but you only have maybe 4-5 int, so you are dumb. The master, before he did a brain nap, has told you to go and fetch stuff from the forest.
The Gnolls come and ride upon your back: you hope they know what you are supposed to be looking for, because you do not. You like how cool the forest is and how the warm rain does not hit your back while you are underneath the trees.
The Gnolls run off and collect things. They come back, but now one isn't moving anymore. You're not sure if that's supposed to be.
A bird asks you what you're doing, but you have no answer as you, yourself, forget why you came out here. You take the Gnolls back and go home.
>You didn't gather anything, but you didn't lose anything either.
>Your Tower Golem has one of your Gnolls shoved into the thick snow pillowing out it's body- The Gnoll is unanimated and a little torn open, but you can fix that.

>Experiment with Ice Bonemeal.
>Freebie.

That Bonemeal (as far as you or your evil twin understands) can be used to caste and freeze molded replicas of Skeletons as well as recreate bone formations or amalgamations that would otherwise be impossible to do the 'donor rejection' factor often found in less complicated practices.
It's also the main ingredient in a bone golem. Holds the whole thing together. Otherwise all the skeletons animate individually.

That aside, you figure you'll actually get to work, but not because your evil twin told you so. Jeez. Gosh.
Unfortunately for you, you do not have a productive work week:

>>2632202
>Also fix that one gnoll.
>Roll 2/20

First off, you immediately try to fix that one Gnoll that had bit the dust in the woods somehow. It's a little frozen, so you forget to sow it back up, and upon reanimating it 'seems' fine, but maybe an hour later while reading you hear a dull "boof" and find out the Gnoll had fallen apart in a sopping mess of mush. The body is completely unusable.

>>2632207
>Research roll, try to make a golem out of the bone ice mix. Do so In a controlled area.
>Roll 15- Not even close.

You're not too discouraged, though, so you follow through with your next bit of work and try to make a bone golem: casting icey bonemeal bones, skulls, ribs, tying and piecing them together before you freeze them, getting a good kind of 'scarecrow figure' going on.
You're not doing it right. It's fine. You've piled and put together a rather aesthetic looking skeletal golem with a few arms, saws for hands, all kinds of features.
Once you try and animate it however, the miasma sullies the ice, putrifies it, turns it black, and the bone golem screams and melts into a chunky pool of black goo.

>>2632196
>Use stole word on our shadow self then go have some pie and icecream and force him to enjoy it with us.
>Roll 10/10

You can't actually do that, also you wouldn't do that because that would fuck with your magic? You do, though, sit down and have a spot of tea with some pie, icecream, with a side of those nice snow berries from the cave your Flesh Golem Maid Her name is Annie. Call her Annie. has been making preserves and jams from. You've had a bad week, but this is nice. You finish your pie and lean out the window looking out to the garden while Annie cleans up.
The rain still hasn't cleared up, but it sounds and smells nice either way.

>Question, do we need to upgrade our laboratory to Dr Frankenstein levels before we try creating a Flesh Golem?

You're 2/3rds of the way there. You've got all the raw resources, you've got electricity, you've got the books for it, but you're a little light on the heavy duty lab equipment to process and construct a whole Flesh Golem Person.
You have more than enough, though, to upgrade or treat an existing one- Annie is in tip top condition.

>I'm curious about the Rotwyrm
>Roll 61- Good Enough!

While both sides of you are calm and placated you make an attempt at diplomacy and ask what he meant by that RotWyrm comment he made earlier. That sounds like it could be interesting.
A RotWyrm is a Zombified Dragon, beyond their immediate physical benefits, they lose their breath weapon but gain the ability to breath a noxious, diseased, mist of toxic vapors that rot anything subsumed by them. Had hoped for a Drake or Wyvern, but the Cockatrice was all the Jungle had to offer. I intended on using it as a mount: killing you and repossessing our body if the opportunity arose.
Neat.

>Yes let's investigate the bivrost.
>Roll 54- Barely Good Enough. Rolling with advantage.

With that little morbid conversation fresh in your mind you head down back into the lab and continue your work; this time on research and development, specifically you'd like to learn what you can from this Bivrost material you've collected from your Dungeon. The material is EXTREMELY cold and improper storage of the material seems to freeze it's surroundings- you, though, don't seem to be too bothered by it. You crack open Ras' Treatise and see if the ol' Lich has anything to say on the matter.
>Bifrost can be used to forge iron into 'Cold Iron'. All supernatural beings fear Cold Iron as it can universally harm or repel any paranormal creature regardless of domain.

You ask your evil twin about his Wraith Sword, specifically how he made it.
I carved the handle and gathered the materials myself: silver from coins, iron from scrap, carbon from bones, and a tiny pinch of mythril I stole from a Homunculi. Very rare. Good find. I then had a Snow Nymph to forge it for me. I wanted to be able to cut your Ghost Hand.. that and gather Ectoplasm for a Robe I had planned. I would have liked Cold Iron, it would have been far less expensive, but skeletal as I was that option was impossible.

>Continue with the into the bone golem research.
>Roll 88/ High End Success. Rolling with advantage.

Honestly, you're just going to listen to what your evil twin has to say on this one.
Use 1 part water, 2 parts bone meal. Cast the bones, prioritize functionality and decide what it will look like before hand. When they're set, piece them together how you 'know' they should go. Do not mix up parts. Leave a hollow space in the rib cage. Get a Wisp. Get the herbs. Have the Wisp 'burn' the herbs than take the black, frozen, lump left behind and place it in as the heart with the Wisp lingering as a dull whick. Animate it. Done.
>+New Undead Construct+: Bone Golem (Frost): "Construct Undead, easier to construct than their room temperature variety, while still being just as horrifying. Bone Golems can be either telepathically or vocally controlled, meaning you can switch between manual or passive domination to free up Undead control space.

>Let's go into the rotwoods ourself with some Gnolls and the Bone Golem Construct.
>Preferably Mound Makers.
>Roll 12- Above Average. Some small success, but rolling at a slight disadvantage.

Another day, another opportunity for Necromancy. You're optimistic about today and cocky given your Bone Golem and Rothide Gnoll-Boys, so you figure you'll head into the Rotwood to gather some materials and dominate some workers. You're going to have to do it at night though if you're going to take anything undead in or out or the sun'll cook um'.
You made a mad dash in there. No dickin' around (literally or figuratively) just in and out. Screaming kept to a minimum. Cheesing it through the Mound Makers piles like you're pickin' mushrooms.

>+2 Mound Makers, "Great little Zombies grave robbers (or are they Ghouls?) They love nothing more than to pile bodies high to make their mounds: a constant natural source of reanimating bodies in a haunted environment. You got kidnapped and almost killed by one of these once!"
>Undead Control: 17/20

>>2632593
>Venture into our dungeon to find a wraith or some such to skin.
>Roll 1. 1. One.

When you get home: sweaty, sack full of bones, couple limps, organs, maybe a pitcher of blood- you figure, "what the hell, it's still night: lets dip down into the cavern and try and harvest some wraiths or something." This was a bad idea. You were tired, you've never encountered a Wraith before, but sure enough you hear the rattling of icey chains and see the cloaked visage of one of those ghostie ghouls and.. The absolute worst possible thing happens.
Your veil falls off. The veil that covers your face. The veil that covers your face so a Ghost can't fly into your mouth and nose and possess you.

>>2632615
>Rolling to counter I guess
>Roll 20- Perfectly countered.

You try to cover your face with your hand, but the Wraith has already seen your face, knows what you look like, and sending out a mad cackle; wafts his chilling vapors to possess and invade your stupid body. However, the Wraith seems to have trouble vaping his way into your body Occupied. Using this to your advantage you cast Ghost Hand to man-handle the Wraith, wrapping your ethereal mits tightly around it before drawing your Wraith Blade and cutting it to ribbons.
>Piece of the 'Perfect' Robe (Ice) Acquired
>+++ Ectoplasm Fabric (2/5): "This is loose, flowing, silky, cool, fabric is what all Ghosts are made of and gives them that flowing 'bed sheet' appearance. Ectoplasm is highly sought after commodity for it's translucent paranormal qualities and how fine and comfortable the illustrious and satin material feels on the skin. The perfect thing for a robe, really."

>15, 18, Above Average, even better- near Perfect.

The Ecoplasm is put into storage (it really is quite nice) then immediately summon your Snow Nymph as you'd appreciate a guide for your snowy spelunking adventure. She's pulled across space and time and loyally responds to her call, "Good evening my Mas- ah, pardon me, Masters." Seems she can 'see' your twin, that's interesting.

You walk and talk while you take the 'staff entrance' down to the lowest level where the wood lies. It takes about an hour, so you've got some time. You ask her a few things, a little about Cheval, etc..
"I could see us becoming friends. I feel quite bad for her though, it must be awful to be stuck in such a drab, undeveloped, 3rd world mud ball- A-ah, my apologies, Masters. That was incredibly unprofessional of me." I like her. She's funny.

Eventually getting down to the lowest level the "three" of you get a good look and survey of the Crystal Wood: the entire forested area has begun to sprout a veritable undergrowth and field of white barked saplings with little crystalline formations resembling leaves. At the very epicenter of them, there seems to be one large 'king' tree older, more twisted, taller than yourself, but still quite small and lined with stylish twists and contorts that remind you of the deep, morbid, wrinkles of the Goth Tree. Your twin has no comment, seems this is outside of his expertise. Your nymph comments on the excellent health and growth of the cavern, admiring and pointing out every plant, weed, herb, clump of moss, to the birds, bats, and deer. "This is really quite lovely, Masters."

>See how well some of the creatures in our dungeon react to petting.
>Freebie.

Before you go you spend some time petting some of the animals. Because.
-You pet some of the tiny Snowy Song Birds. Their cries echoing and bouncing off the crystalline ice formations, such dainty, jolly little birds.
-You pet some of the Garm. They're floppy, boofing, bounding around in the snow. They remind you of those good old hunting Dogs your uncle kept.
-You pet a Fairy, well, you try to. She says she doesn't know you well enough. Your Snow Nymph chides you, "Master, you can't just pet strange fairies!"
-You try to pet a Qalupalik. It is a horrible, ugly, fishey creature and hisses at you and makes false threat displays. Not for petting.

>twin chat up Annie.
>Roll 11- Weird, but good.

It's kind of midday when you get home: you eat, head to bed, wake up at night, and then finally make good on your promise to let your Evil Twin chat it up with Annie, the Flesh Golem Maid.
You do only have a very vague recollection of what happened after that, but you and Annie are sitting outside, you've an umbrella, are watching the flowers and the rain and you're holding hands with Annie.
"Thank you." Her voice is extremely raspy, but gentle and pleasant. This is the first time she's talked since she's arrived here to work.

Annie is cute. That might be the most earnest answer you're going to get out of him, but you're pretty his co-habitation might be restoring his libido and therefor humanity, since, well, you know. Annie is kinda cute, but she's flat.
You disappoint me. All breasts were made equal.

You spend a little more time with Annie, you're not sure how to snip it off since this was your Evil Twins date, but.. Uhh.. She seems to be ontop of things and excuses you. You wana go fiddle with some other dead bodies. You want to try upgrading your Zombies, seeing if they can be made any better or improved.
You try a lot of methods: freezing, feeding, skinning, stuffing them with MORE herbs, feeding them to one another, but all you accomplish is consuming resources and making a mess.. You make 1 very angry, screaming, skinny, horrifying meaty skeleton that must be culled. Crazy.

-All of your 'black' Astral Abilities are still chained to you, but are autonomous and linked to your eeeeeevil self.

>Contact the Architect with the Talk Box and check in on the Mimas ambush.
>It's a freebie.
Inbetween work, goblins, napping, maybe a little bit of a biscuit, honey, and jam- (Annie having become quite talkative lately: saying good morning, good night, you've even spotted her heading out and trading with the Bee Women. Makin' good use of that Umbrella your evil twin got her)- Remember you should call The Architect. He's been pretty silent.
#72 picks up on the opposite end, "Hello my dear, you're probably expecting my boy, but he's a little preoccupied.." You ask her how the Mimas operation went, "Oh? That? That wen't fine, perfect." You sense a little bit of.. 'Trepidation' and ask her about that project of his. There's a pause, you ask again.
"It's 'within acceptable parameters." Hhhhhmmmmmnnnnn.

>Slime Time.
>Nat fuckin' 1 with one roll high enough to save

You figure you'll get a call back from the Architect when he isn't preoccupied. Until then, though, you'd like to experiment on the Slime.
You kill the Slime. Not you, Eloy, and not because he 'wanted' to, but because it ate Chemmy....Basically:
-Chemmy was helping you get a sample. Chemmy fell in.
-Eloy doesn't want Chemmy to drown or dissolve (he thinks Chemmy is fun) and so he blasted the Slime with a brilliant ray of Arcane Energy.
-The slime dissolved into a dried raisin and Chemmy is a little sunburnt, but alive.
"It was a good garbage disposal, but between it and the Goblin I made the best choice."

>Cut open and study Cockatrice.
>Roll 38- Bad, but not enough to ruin the resource.

You give Chemmy the week off, kiss his little burnt body, tell him if he almost dies anymore he'll turn into a house cat.
You're gonna borrow Eloy in the mean time though, he's gonna do Chemmy's work: Lab Assistant. Up to his armpits in Cockatrice innards for an hour while you try and figure out how this thing does what it does. When you're done you scrub up and thank Eloy.
Eloy seems to be finally be adapting to this rustic lifestyle. He aint' bitching as much...AS much

Putting the Cockatrice back together, tasking Eloy with clean up (to complete his punishment) and putting it on preserve you head back upstairs and relax while thinking about....Making a Giant Ice Dragon Skeleton. You don't 'need' an actual Dragon's skeleton if you just use bonemeal. You've got two problems:
-You're bad at math.
-You'd need some sort of reference material: Dragon, Drake, even a Dinosaur would do.

You get Eloy to help you since he's got a University Diploma and with his help it isn't such a problem studying it. He politely inquires, "Could you not just animate the Elephant's skeleton?" You tell him the neck, thorax, and shoulders are all wrong, it wouldn't be "dragoney".

While you're taking it easy, you figure you'll contact a few people while it's still on your mind... You also ask if anybody has any Dinosaur or Dragon bones...

I actually think the Architect would really appreciate your company. He's been quite busy and he could use a friend."

>Seance Lady Cheval or Monk Adrienne and find out the results of the Mimas operation
You get Cheval's Oracle on the line, seems she just handles all incoming 'calls'? "Ah, yes, hello little b- Hmn, sir. " The priests appearently have been telling her to stop calling you a little boy.
You ask her if Cheval has any Dinosaur or Dragon bones on display and how the Mimas kidnapping went. In that order.
"Ah.. I think we have a Hydra? But, no, it's still alive. Oh, and Sir Mimas has been detained and has been going through the de-cursing process supervised by the twins, Adrienne of the Pit and Abel of Rot. Ah, excuse me one moment sir." She leaves her crystal ball for a moment, "We also have a Dinosaur.. some sort of frilled, horned, creature, would that be okay?" No, no, what about the twins? "Oh, yes, they're doing very well. Adrienne speaks of you highly."

Math is gay. You are of one mind on this topic, Math is indeed super gay, but you're going to need to learn at least a little more if you want to improve your trade skills. Turns out in order of best to worst: Avarice > Eloy = Snow Nymph > Chemmy = Annie > Hobgoblins > You > Goblins > Ginger. You're pretty dumb, your Snow Nymph is quite alarmed, "Master, how on earth did you earn your highschool diploma? This is atrocious!" What does she mean by that? "Your GED, Master- wait, what am I saying."
Literally almost everyone is better at math than you. It's a damn good thing you're good with your hands and cute, cause boy howdy is your int low, but you're surrounded by people willing to help. Avarice and Eloy will set you up with some basic ass tutoring lessons when you get back.

>Summon Ice Salamander.
You can just do this whenever, but you do it right now just to compare and contrast artificially summoned and home grown: the ones in the cave are fatter and smaller, the one you've conjured is leaner and significantly longer and more.. Aggressive looking. Maybe a different environment? Conditions? Food? You summon three more and they all vary in shape and size within reasonable perimeter. Snow Nymph might understand this more than you. They poof away when you're done.

Until then, you pack your things: >>2633448 Annie packs you a special lunch you don't remember asking her and gives you a bashful little kiss on the cheek. Good. before you churn out a quick dark Cumulus and head out on your way to the Commune first and then Pug. >>2633448

>50. FIFTY. EXACTLY. Right down the middle: can go either way depending on player input.
>I.E: Traveler/Adventurer.

Some ways between Hemlock Ruins and Potter's field you sense a presence not unlike your own making their way through the fields of Copse and seemingly on their way to the Rotwood.
They're wearing a black robe, have black hair, don't seem to be bothered by the sun, and have a pale complexion similar to your own- they're also riding a large black horse, which is something you haven't seen in a while. A horse, that is, you haven't seen a horse in a while.
There's really two options: see what they're up to and say hello or just go on your way. Your evil self doesn't seem to have any constructive input- he could go either way.

>Good enough!

You slow your roll and back up, because you're at least 75% sure that's a Human and you'd go down to investigate even if you were as low as 45% sure they were a Human.
Pillowing down your cloud at a nice non-threatening distance, you give um that little raise fist, bent elbow, sign Humans do when they meet one another on the ol' dusty trail. Admittingly it's a pretty poor "secret handshake" as far as your species is concerned, but traditions don't always make sense. Either way, they're shouting and pointing at you, "YOU'RE A HUMAN!" They then whip the.. the handle bits of the.. You grew up in a river delta, you don't know horse, and gallops over to you before dismounting and running the rest of the way.
You... You actually get off your cloud and meet her in the middle: you haven't seen in a Human in a year and you miss your own kind.
The two of you run into one another and there is much jumping up and down, hugging, being smooshed, and asking where you're from, what clan, what shape your ears are, Centaur percentile, etc..

This new Human is a head taller, maybe early 30's, black hair, pale skin, freckles, a little thicker than a person in this time period should be, she is also dressed in a black ceremonial robe and is adorned with a veritable antiquary of baubles, trinkets, joojoos, voodoos, hoodoos, and little boney bits. She introduces herself as an Occultist, an individual with a nose and mind for all matters supernatural or paranormal , "I'm so happy to see you, I haven't see another Human in 12 Months. How are you? Who are you?" She goes on to tell you she's passing through Copse on her way to Rotwood, not the barrier, but right deep into it's center.

What would you like to ask her, if anything?
>>
>>2633598
Firstly ask if she's been summoned by Catherine and if so, warn her about the danger. If she hasn't been summoned and is just exploring we should also warn her of Catherine and the dangers of the Rotwood.

To the other players, should we try getting her to go to Lady Cheval instead of into the Rotwood and potetially Catherine's talons?
>>
>>2633598
Tell her we're the local necromancer of the region. We offer undead services, cold related services and pumpkin pie related services.
Ask her why she's heading to the center. Does she want to visit the Rotwood Tree? If she does then I suggest she be wary of all the wild undead. She should also avoid the Demon Catherine. She's bad news.
So why you say you're an Occultist, what is it exactly does an Occultist like yourself do? Any particular business?

>>2633611
Definitely warn her away from Catherine, but don't tell her about Lady Cheval. She's still supposed to be a secret.
>>
>>2633598
Why did she become an occultist?
Ask her about the boney bits.
Can she tell us about the places she has been too?
Does she know if there is a market for ice cream outside of Copse?
Where did she get her horse from?
What's her name?
Does she plan to visit the demons?
What is she going to do inside the Rotwood?
Has she done anything radical?
What places in Copse has she visited, if any?
Does she know any magic or is she a normie (no offence)?
What does she think of Copse?
Does she have anything for trade?
Does she have any idea on how to boost the economy of Copse?
>>
Rolled 2 (1d20)

You basically update her on all the various hips and happenings of the province (well, the casual ones at least): you tell her about Catherine the Centipede Demon ruling over the Cheval Estate, The Goth Tree and the people in there, to watch out for all the various undead, and the general soft-crumbling political upheaval going on.
"Oh, I actually heard about that. It's why I'm here." Hhhhmmmmn? "Hmhmn, rumors are leaking out of this province like a sieve: border province in peril, Undead and Demons going all willy nilly, someone getting everything and everyone up in arms, and with the border province down I thought it an excellent opportunity to sneak on in~"
You ask her to clarify that a bit, "Oh, no, no, I'm heading right in there. I'm going to Cannakill. The Capital country. "

Damn, this lady is hardcore. You remember your manners and introduce yourself as the local necromancer: pie maker, frost dooer, and undeader, you shake hands (her hands are super soft) and ask her how she ended up in this line of work and what exactly she does? "I suppose I'm just a jack of all trade junk collector n' problem solver for anything relating to Ghosts, Zombies, Demons, Fairies, or whatever, but I've always been fascinated by the walking dead, so here I am!"
You seem to be on that list as she stares directly and intently at your eyes, "Speaking of. THOSE are beautiful and not naturally occurring! Look at your EYES, they're BEAUTIFUL, like little blue Wisps!" Her enthusiasm is a little overwhelming, but admirable, she's just a big nerd.
Before she grills you with Questions you ask her a couple more important things:

>Where did she get her horse from?
"Oh? Him? He's not real. See?" She touches a rune on the bottom of the horses stomach and he turns into a small handheld wooden doll.

>What is she going to do inside the Rotwood?
"Souvenirs, Research, Tourism..Ah.. Love, if I find the special someone."

>Does she know any magic or is she a normie (no offence)?
"Strictly speaking I don't know any magic myself, but nearly everything I own and all of my tools are enchanted. Even my bag!"

She's just a tourist. Lets go.

You make an attempt at trying to convey how cool and awesome you are: shooting out some ice n' frost, giving her the whole ghost hands, even cast dark ring on her to freshen her up before showing off some your various trinkets, equipment, and other doodads she might like to see.
It's weird, though, you're unsure if she's interested in you as a person or an 'entity' because while she's enthralled by every little thing she seems more interested in the fact that you can do that sort of thing. Always giving a cute little applause, "So cool! So coool!"
Her charisma is too low, she's too socially awkward to pick up on your attempts at flirtation... That might be for the best. Getting Teenage Pregnancy would be a hinderance to your career.

>>2633738
>Mention we are a self-taught necromancer and we even have an Ice Cave dungeon with a burgeoning Icy Crystal Forest.

Brief mention of an 'Ice Cavern' is said and her obsession switches into absolute overdrive, she picks you up, "I haven't seen one of those before! How big is it? Is there snow? What sort of Creatures?-" On and on and on like this. No detail seem to be too obscure or trivial for her to inquire and be interested in. You tell her sometimes you Ice Fish in there and she's just as excited as any other confession; making further loud, unusual, noises while shacking you.
She's kind of unbearable. No. This is funny now. Stay. I'm amused.

>>2633764
((You'll need to visit En and ask about that or the Commune.))
You briefly mention an interest in trinkets and having other business to tend to (in an attempt to escape), she sets you down and backs off, but not because she understand personal space or etiquette.
"Oh, uh, I have some.. I have some things you might be interested in purchasing?" She pulls out a leather satchel made from the skinned hide of a pale skinned creature.
That is a fucking bag of holding. That is a BAG of HOLDING. How does she have that? Where did she find it?

Can we exchange things with her for more things? Wisp lanterns, custom shaped golems, ice cream?
I still want to know about ice cream and if we have any frosty treat completion outside of Copse.
>>
>>2633877
>Can we exchange things with her for more things?

Yes, she'd be interested in anything paranormal or supernatural you had to offer or could make yourself with a focus on materials, parts, interesting knick-knacks and collectibles. Be warned, though, her spooky'tism allows her an encyclopedic knowledge of the exact economic and buying value of anything you could throw at her.
She'll also always have materials both odd and common if you ever need something weird or specific and want to call her out to trade goodies. Think of her as the expensive.. request.. exotic good.. supplier.
>>
We should really disband some of our gnolls and raise that troll, hopefully frost-empower it as well, especially since we can probably make a bunch of small bone golems and command them vocally now anyway.

Can our sword be enchanted? About how powerful are our enchantments?
>>
>>2633891
Better yet, we could gather more Skulls to increase our number undead we can control.
>>
>>2633890
Cool. I want to exchange some round boys, the tower boy, some carnivorous plants, a small vat of Ice Bonemeal, some Bifrost (that stuff howls so she'll like that), fist sized round boys because they would be cute, some fungi, Scarecrows, *potentially* a high functioning skeleton as smart as a skeleton or zombie mage that could play songs if she wants that, animate and restore a dead pet into a flesh golem (though it would be weird if he kept a dead animal with her), a pot full of wisps, a pair of mittens made from poe fabric to handle poe or cold things.

In exchange I'd some more books on stuff like space, more stuff like the fictional one she gave us, a bestiary, full skeletons of small breeds of animals (both mundane and magical) so we can animate them and understand how their bodies move, several cooking and farming books, a book on economics, a bag of holding or how to create one, a coin collection (for Avarice), a book about money or something (again for Avarice), mining tools and gear, a furnace and blacksmithing set?, some samples of different kinds of slime, a book on smithing, a holy magic book of Scylla (for the priest boy), a book on how orcs Smith their things so we can copy their life hacks.

I still want to make that vegimite "dungeon". It could be like the training wheels of dungeons. It could be useful for feeding animals that don't eat meat. Or our farm animals.

Note to self:
-develop new type of scarecrow to incorporate carnivorous plants.
-Mix in sawdust into golems to make them tougher and possible melt slower.
-Learn how to make orc weapons and armor for gnolls.
>>
>>2633890
Oh and a book on enchanting or something that can hide our energy and dark presence so people don't freak out.

Man its been a while since we've stuck around En to help out or seen a gnome.

Note to self:
-Explore forest to the east for more specimen
>>
>>2633932
I'd rather not get rid of our tower golem. We don't seem to have much bivrost and I'd also rather not lose it.
If we're animating "high functioning" skeletons why would we give it to her when we could put it to use?
Also, what do we need more comic books for? Don't we already have decent anatomical knowledge? I don't see how a book on economics would help avarice, or why we can't just fish with the priest boy. Also, isn't Orc equipment pretty shoddy?

I wouldn't care at all if you were rolling/requesting some of these things, but why on earth would we try to trade an ice tower golem, a whole bunch of useful undead, and some of our bivrost for comic books and textbooks, and then go spend time and mana crystals making a dungeon that anyone with a moderately sized stick could walk through, that might not even produce useful ingredients?
>>
>>2633953
the biggest value the comic book has is as a trade with Lady Cheval who is a collector of old world artifacts. We already recovered and gave her a mini-fridge and a magazine we found in the Pug Dungeon in our first foray.

but yeah, we shouldn't trade our secrets or impressive stuff right away. stuff like the wisp lanterns or even a scarecrow might be worth trading but nothing that would go against our undead control limit
>>
>>2633953
Orc equipment is actually very durable but ugly as he'll and looks shoddy in comparison to other blacksmiths.

Think similar to how the lotr orcs were good blacksmiths and engineers but very sloppy looking
>>
>>2633932
As discussed previously the golems, while not bright, are intelligent beings with free will . They are more like elementals. So selling them would be slavery.
>>
>>2633890
I think if I had suggested a wisp powered golem this would have been another story with the rain and the humidity going on.

>>2633953
The high functioning skeleton that was exclusively good at music and only music was half joking.
Yes we want more preserved comics. We know someone who really likes them and we'd get some bang for our bucks.
It doesn't hurt to have a mote indepth understand of anatomy so we can just wing it on everything or at least I think. You can't make a dinosaur or dragon skeleton if you've never seen one before, or at least that is what I think.
A book on economics I thought would be endearing to him because he's so good with money.
The holy book present would a sign of good faith (see what I did there?) for the priest boy. Nothing wrong with going the extra mile.
Orc equipment is as functional as it is an eye sore. So it's decent.

The other anons made a good point on how trading golems are not ok, but my original point would've been: we could always make more, we could make as many of them as we wanted if we are patient, we can always get more ore.

>>2634180
My bad. I forgot that they are effectively elementals.

>>2633963

Yesterday on Caster Quest we spent our time working away on a few experiments, consoliDATING our relationship with our evil self, fiddling about in our ice dungeon, and in general just going about on some basic house keeping chores n' domestic shenanigans (as far as a Necromancer could be concerned)... We also found out we're pretty bad at math! We then headed out to the Commune and Pug- they've got Dino and Dragon bones for us to look at and it seems the Architect is a little under the weather.

The very last thing we did was run into an Occultist on her way deep, deep, in the Rotwood: past the border province of Copse and towards the spookiest land of Cannakill. We purchased a few choice items: a comic book, a space book, and a Ghoul Hide, and it's safe to say we can count on her for materials in the future if we ever need any rare or specific.

Accepting new Actions. We're still with the Occultist, but we outta pack up and head over to the Commune unless we have need of her further.

>Roll 12- Not good enough to get one, but, well, you'll see.

As the two of you pack up your belongings and set up to go your separate ways you can't help but ask about the Bag of Holding. You tell the Occultist you've HEARD of Bags of Holding, sure, who hasn't? Mythical heroes n' daring adventurers set in the age of classical myth going about with their magical boys of endless treasure.
"You're right! But I'm afraid I don't have another one." She holds it up and lets you look at the pale stitched hide holding together the satchel, "I stole this from a Hag, actually. A 'real' bag of holding is made out of a Mimic's guts, " you reach over to get it a feel "but this one is made from a skinned Changeling." okay, well, that's definitely cursed. She flips the top down and points to the holes where the handles go through, "See the doppler-man's stretched out face? Gross, right?"
I like her. She's neat.

The two of you say your goodbyes and she throws out her horse joojoo and rides away. You have a strong feeling you'll see her again.

>To the Commune!

Clouding on over to the Commune, my goodness, you've never seen it so active before or so... Dense.
The place is bustling, BUSTLING: There's a lot of construction going on as they expand and extend the size of their Commune to nearly a quarter of it's size- building walls, gathering cement, Homunculi with their hair tied up neat and tight running back and forth in white work suits. Coming into the town's entrance you're stopped for the first time in what seems like ages by one of the security gals in black. "I apologize for the inconvenience, Necrolyte. We're currently expanding our habitat and the community must be on high detail. Please, enjoy your stay."
You're not 100% sure because they all look the same, but there seems to be way more Homunculi here than you remember.
Even more interesting is the market and guest square is quite bustling and lively: there's a company of Gnomes, Orcs, there's even a few Amazons, and... ugh.. There's Dwarves. Who let them in here? You see #72 at her office, but she's absolutely swamped by a small crowd of merchants and Homunculi women bringing her paper work, numbers, coinage.

Accepting Actions. What the hell is going on around here? You've never seen this place so busy!

>3, 4, 3- Bad. Bad Dubs. Bad Dubs are bad.

You figure you'll take some basic precautions: you dress yourself down to your more casual clothes (well, as casual as you have) and cast protection from good and evil on yourself to numb your presence a little so at least the normies can't sense you.
It doesn't help. None of these people want to talk to you and all together it's a very social conscious situation that hurts your feelings [/].
The Gnomes and Dwarves are busy competing in bidding wars with one another for manufacturing, trade, and distribution agreements with the community and don't have any time to humor 'children': a couple Gnomes brush you off, throw you a copper piece and tell you to go play somewhere else, the Dwarves just tell you to fuck off. You hate Dwarves. The Orcs are from Pug and are yelling their heads off trying to hock their cheap Orcish garbage to the other races and if you're not here to buy you're wasting their time.

The Amazons will talk to you. But they only tell you the basics, "The Homunculi finally opened up their hive, they said they want to trade, said they're building a city." But beyond that they begin to pry a little too much: who's kid you are, why have you got an accent, what's with your skin colour, etc, that you awkwardly flee from into the crowd.

It's a little into the afternoon when the rains pick up and people start to clear out. You're a little emotionally drained.
You find #72 smoking outside and go stuff your face into her lap to heal your ego. She's very tired, but she gives you head pats and you feel better.

>Roll 18- Good, high end near perfect results.

Spending the evening with #72 feels awful nostalgic: head on her thigh, her long-clawed hand brushing through your black hair, you love the smell and sound of rain on the stonework, and how she turns her head after taking a drag of her smoke to try and keep the smoke from blowing into your face. You momentarily forget why you're here, but remember to ask whats going on.
"Well, with Mimas captured, Catherine on high alert as she gathers her forces in retaliation, and the Philosopher Stone finished gestating Archie has been girding his loins all day for war. He's nearly doubled the population of the commune, sent out letters and invitations to prominent merchants, and has been working nearly 20 hours a day for a few weeks now. "
Did she just call the Architect Archie ?

You've gotta get back to it though and you tell #72 you need to see the Architect, she takes your hand and the two of you head over to the Arcanum.
>>2635758
>Inquire about materials and magic that will be needed in construction of the city. Undead labor might not be necessary with haemonculi

The Architect looks awful. He's pale, eyes dim, noticeably thinner- his little wizard robes slipping off his body, """"Archie"""" (heh) seemingly dazed and confused while he talks to security, labor, with you finally showing up he gives a weak little wave and smile. He dismisses the other girls for a moment and welcomes you, "Hey.. Hey buddy.. What's up?" You tell him he looks like crap. "Yeah, well, making around 3200 or so people in less than 25 days can do that to a fella, waddya need?"
You ask him if there's anything you can help with a- "Yes, God, damn, by all means: I'm way behind and wasn't expecting my Philosopher's Stone to be so needy. I need metal. I need an almost offensive amount of metal- over half the foreigners I invited alone are just smiths, prospectors, manufacturers, but I need raw resources. If you want to pillage the industrial park by all means."
He seems.. Jittery. You ask him if he'd like to take a break. "I can't afford [/b[ a break."
You and #72 drag him off to have a little coffee, something sweet to eat, and a power nap. Architect reads your graphic novel, "Liches can't have daughters, they're undead. Why even is this man with a whip a threat to him?" You try to explain to Archie it's fiction, it's supposed to be fun, "Yes, but the Lich is the good guy though? Look at all the industry he created, look, automobiles. I don't even know how to make those."

This nonsense goes on 'till the next morning.

Meanwhile, while the Architect gets his bed, bath, and beyond: you briefly head out into the industrial park to see if you can- Oh man, there's a lot of Homunculi out here, there's so many! Their skin is a redder hue of pink and they all wear white- perhaps a labor caste? There's even a few crowd of Peons keeping to themselves and contributing to the labor- you're waved down though by a Homunculi woman in a work tunic. "Good morning, Necrolyte Child, what can I do for you?"
You say you're here to help and while your Golems won't get here at a reasonable time: you split your ghost selves up and do your part. You wonder aloud to yourself why your Eeeevil self is being so compliant? I like Homunculi. They're easy to read and predictable. They're safe. Huh.
The morning is spent helping out the laborers. You get cat called once- One of the girls said you were very cute and that your black hair was pretty.

You head off once your posse of Gnolls and Golems come in to cover for you; you're interested in talking about that there de-vice and maybe seeing the stone?

He slips on his work clothes, finishes eating, and the two of you head down the stairs and into the basement.. You notice it's a lot more humid than usual.

Once again lead into the basement of the Arcanum the two of you go to where the Door was once, but is now replaced by a membrane of rather suggestive mounding flesh. There's no physical confirmation that seems to be needed anymore, instead a great eye blinks open underneath the 'hood' and visibly confirms who the two of you are and yawns open to welcome you- blood pouring out a bit in the process.
The room is still the same, but you'd be forgiven for mistaking it: the area is padded with flesh, bones in the corners, the blood has flooded nearly knee deep and were it not for little the platforms of delicate feminine hands propping up each of your steps over the pool you'd be soaked.

In the centre of the room hangs a growth of pulsing, red, dully lit, amorphic flesh- a woman coils around it like an umbilical snake holding it together, but also spinning and crawling around it akin to a mother spider seeing to an egg sack. The Architect greets the creature and she unfolds the petals of her mass to slink over and hold him. "So, this is the stone. She's still a little half baked, but I'm pretty proud of her." You extend her hand, she looks through you.
"I know (you)." She smiles knowingly and gives you a little pet. She's perfectly body temperature. When she places her hand on your cheek you're unsure of where your body starts and her's ends. You've never been so simultaneously (un)comfortable.

"Nice Thirteen. I think there's a Spell I could give you...Uh.. Archie, help me?" The Architect is gently picked up, a mound of hands rises out of the fluid below and the Architect reaches into the 'stone' to pull out a length of flesh.
The Stone then snips it off with a mouth at the wound and hands it to you- It has one spell inscribed on it.

You cast preserve on the length of flesh on the flesh just in case and set it with the rest of your things. You're interested in this stone and her unique qualities: Does she know what a Dragon is? How omnipotent is she? "Do I know what a Dragon is.." She develops a bit of a vacant stare. The Architect speaks up, "Philosopher Stones are linked to one another and a lot of other sources of magic at their baseline, she knows what she knows because she can fiddle around and is spiritually connected to what things are made of.. Just to say in layman terms."

Still dazed, the Architect continues, "She can make.. Well, flesh. She can actually make anything organic out of mana provided she knows what something is. I've been using her to reproduce, crude, I know, but I had plans to take a piece of her with me to colonize and terraform a space for myself once I retired and walked off... " The two of you are interrupted. The Philosopher's stone develops a disgusting growth in her stomach, it expands, than pops like a boil and a small malformed winged reptile wiggles out before falling apart into fluid. "Dragon, right?"
Archie clears his throat, "She's uh.... She also needs practice." Hesitantly, almost fearfully, you ask about bones. "I know I declined before, but now that we've got her I've got organic material to spare. We can send you some Homunculi Bones." He wonders to himself, thinking aloud, "You could actually make some pretty high quality Flesh Golems with Homunculi Bones..But will they accept them? They're not entirely.. There's the synthetic factor.." He trails off a bit.

They speak in unsettling unison, "We've always wanted a nation of our own." Archie slaps the stone, "Don't do that, not in front of guests." She gives a coy smile, when she giggles you can hear it through the whole room. The Architect continues, "I saw this as a unique opportunity: Copse isn't exactly a land where a lot of people wish to dwell in due to the undead and for a while we were satisfied with a mere haven away from slavery and normies, but with things the way they are now I think expansion is possible now. I really do owe you quite a lot. You've made all this possible and.. Maybe I should give you the Phylactery Device.." He bites his lip, hands on his hip, "It's.. It's just such a nice piece of equipment.-"
He looks at you, "Wait, why are you asking about Dragons?"

You put on the works: you say please, thank you, you make adorable faces, you even do that really cute deal where you let your long, straight, black hair cover your face then slowly brush it out of the way with your hand then look affectionately at the architect while turning your body a bit. He ain't having none of it, his alignment is asexually-boring, but the Philosopher's stone is digging it. "C'mon Archie, he found it for you! He's a good boy! Look at how good he is? He won't use it for evil~" She begins coiling around him, long clawed hand reaching into his robes to clutch his chest, "Not any more evil than what you already do..." The Architect shooes her away, "Fine, fine."
He sighs in resignation, fixing his robes and pinching his brow, "I'll have it delivered and we'll set you up a lab." Both you and the stone clap, "Yaay, yay Archie!"

>>2636446

You remind Archie that 'we' need to, "Unite, standing! Falling on one another and multiplying! To get stronger.. together!" He isn't moved. The Stone, hands raised, does one of those tiny little hands-together claps, "Yes! Multiplying! Very important! Uniting DNA! Acquiring genetic material! Fluids! Reference material! Putting the Ass in assimilation!"
Did all of this poor man's energy and pep go into this creature?

>>2636571
>Speaking of which, ask the Architect what he plans to do concerning Catherine's aggression
>Roll 18- Good, high end good.

Finally, shifting gears back to business; you ask the Architect about his plan of attack or defense against Catherine. "Good question. At the moment we're just playing it safe: I want her to make the first move so we can start judging her forces and from there start hacking away at her from every angle. We're trying to nonchalantly undermine her economically while we grow our own basis at the moment. Which I might add is coming a long better than expected due to our control of the Industrial Park, the capture of Mimas, and our.. 'allies' Pug's Dungeon economy developing steadily. "

It's about time you headed out and over to Pug to see how the royal family is doing, but you've as one creation to another- you ask if by any off chance if Archie's heard anything about your homeland. Anybody asking around or looking for you? "There was that one odd Human Woman who came through here? The junk collector." He must mean the Occultist. "She looked like you, maybe she'd be able to help?" The stone chastises her, "Archie, you can't say all the Humans look the same when you've only seen five in your whole life!!"

>Offer to build something or whatever they might need of you to trade.

The Architect admits, there IS one thing you can offer him that no one person could. "Did you ever plant that seed in your Dungeon? If you did, you should be growing some Crystal Wood soon or a later. It'd be an immense asset to me if you could harvest some crystal lumber when they're mature." He even says he'll send some Women down to help collect when you're confident in your wood.
"Heh.." The Stone chortles, "Confident wood. Teehee." You only think that's funny because she thinks it's funny.

>Remind them we're always happy to lend a hand if they need help with experiments.
>'Experiments.'
>13. Thirteeeen. Thirteen.

Speaking of materials, you show Archie the Bivrost you had wanted to have him look at (careful not to fuckin' drop it in the room). He takes out his glasses, his thick handling gloves, gives it a real once over. "Hmn.. Hmn.. Yes, I could forge with this. You want something out of Cold Iron, yes? If you brought me enough I could make some instruments or weapons.. Actually, what am I saying- you should be sending me this. I need this."
The Philosopher's stone sees something of an opportunity and politely interrupts. "This has been bothering me, one moment." She plucks a single strand of your hair. "Thank you, carry on." Both you and Architect give her an immediate concerned look. For nearly exactly the same reason. "Don't look at me like that..Well, okay, maybe a little~" She shakes her bod' a bit, Archie pulls off his work gloves and gives her a soft smack. "Ah- I need genetic material. You know this! He's a Human! Don't bully me!"

Speaking of-
>We have anything left to do here?
Yes, and it's the last'ish thing you do: waving bye bye to the Stone, you and Archie head up and over to his... He's actually a little collection of several huge animal skeletons propped up and displayed: Dinosaurs, Large Mammals, Monsters, and the piece you're here to see: a Drake. A four-legged, flightless, monitor-lizard-like Dragon. You take notes, jottings, measurements, "It's just a side hobby I.. uh.. When I was younger I wanted to run a museum." You ask him why he never did?
"Y-you.. I can't just live in a city and curate a museum, I'm not a person, Caster." Yeah, but.. You are? He sighs. "Do you like the bones?" You nod, they're pretty cool.
"I'm glad."

Scootin' on over to Pug on your cloud; the place is as much of a hive of activity as it's always been, but it somehow feels a little more.. Spooky. A little more.. Haunted. You can sense a far stronger paranormal aura blanketing the entire bustling Orcish community and you've got a pretty good idea what's going on-
Aaannd.. Where's Cheval? Where is she? Adrienne and Abel are here. You go say hi to the twins, but no Cheval?
"She's currently indisposed I'm afraid: healing Mimas. We've done what we can from a divine aspect, but curses are frightfully personal and deeply psychological matters.. That only a loved one can truly help with. " Are.. Are the boning? Adrienna gets embarrassed, "N-no! There are other ways-" Abel interjects quite bluntly, "Maybe." Adrienna says, with resignation, "Maybe."
While you're here, you also show the twins the two books you got from a trader and ask them if Cheval might like them. They flip through both, either of them admitting they don't really 'get' Cheval's hobby, but they're sure she'd like your comic book.
The Space book, though, is genuinely quite valuable. Adrienna, especially, "This is.. Really quite well put together. We actually know very little about space these days, they say 'space' is supposed to be the strongest element- who did you say you bought this from?" Oh, just some guy.

When you're done there:
>>2636887
>Visit the Typhus Temple.
>4.

You innocently admit you plan on going to the Typhus Temple.
You do not end up going.
Adrienna and Abel get into a heated theological debate about how their God is the best for you and that you should convert to their following. Adrienna wants you to worship Nyx of The Pit. Abel wants you to worship Verminus. They.. They actually get into a little bit of a sibling cat fight, shouting personal things at one another; you're lucky their colour coded.

Headin' on back to the palace you peek in on the twins and they've thankfully calmed down. You chat them up and tell them you're back again, but this time you're all business and would like to pick up that Dinosaur Skeleton you were told you could have. They fix their robes and summon the he- Heey, it's the way too graphic Flesh Golem!
She guides you to the treasure room of all places and shows the massive creatures stocked and stored remains: polished, cleaned, perfectly white and treated. She tells you the creature is called a 'Pentaceratops', The Architect doesn't have one. We should gift it to him. When did you become so sentimental? I'm not. He is. We should manipulate that: a favor is a favor. Hmn.

That reminds you,

>Let go hydra wrangling. Yyyeeeee haaaawww!!!
>15- Decent.

You ask the way too sexually graphic to even describe Flesh Golem if she could show you to the Hydra Cheval had saved for you? She nods, asks the Peons to start packaging your Dinosaur Bones and escorts you to the 'Stable'.
You are shown a creature: It is quite large, slightly smaller than an elephant but definitely 'longer', covered in scales, has four heads with long snaking necks, but it also has a pair of psuedo-wyvern wings (meaning the little tips have a paw) a few patches of fur, and the heads are just blatantly more Dragon like. "This is your Hydra, sir." This uh.. Hmmn.. Is this a Hydra? Aren't Hydra.. Snakey? Do they even have legs? "I'm.. I'm not sure, sir, I was just told.." I think it's a Slibinas. Is.. Is that bad? I don't know. Take it anyway. Free Dragon.
Hmn.

The rainy season is about to end, so people are heading out to try and rebuild Hemlock while the sun gets nice n' high and dry." Huh.

-Your trip to Bee M- Honey Hill, is equally if not more interesting: Children! Children everywhere! Little bee children! Little red, black, and blonded haired bee girls everywhere! Buzzin' and scampering around! Bee Mom- The Queen seems to have grown a little? "My little black beetle, a pleasure to see you as al-" She takes a whiff if you, "ugh, you stink! Stink!" You're carted away, stripped down, a bath is drawn in an empty cell with herbs and flowers, and you're scrubbed from head to toe. She can't help but comment, "Hmmn.. Hmmn! This is new, no? Was my little beetle always this big~?" Don't look at that!!
You're fed lots of berries, nuts, those little honey cakes, and fresh milk. Bee Mom keeps teasing you, "Hmmn? Found a girlfriend~? Maybe a cute boy to practice on? Very naughty! My little black beetle is a little love bug~! Getting into trouble!"

You want to do something nice for the Bee Family, so they can be safe and expand and be happy. You'd like to build them an Ice Golem, but you've got a better idea: you use the last of your Green Mana Shards and make them a Mudman. You go out and gather a bunch of mud, grass clippings and compost from Honey hill to mix all together in a big thick muddy concoction.
The Bee Women help you with the rest: molding and piling up the mud, planting a bed of flowers and a carpet of pulled up grass to cover it in a pleasant 'natural' looking hide. Finally, the shards are placed throughout it's body and the construction slowly animates and comes to life. Rising to it's feet, it's nearly 8ft tall, as round a boy as any other, but perhaps a bit chunkier than some, but most importantly loyal to the flower loving Bee Women.

>Do our typical round of helping out around the Hive
>Roll 9- 'Okay', a little low average.

The next order of business is to see what tasks you can accomplish around the Hive Home, boy howdy; is there a lot of shit to get done. Mom is up to her armpits in new mouths to feed and her as well as a few of the other daughters have their hands full, so you've got to be the man.
You show some Poes the back of your Ghost Hand, you tend and heal everyone's illness or injury no matter how trivial, you tell all your 3rd best family-friendly stories to the children (gotta save the A-material), and create frozen treats. All together a tiring couple of days, but it's rich in sentimental reward and platonic bee affection.

>64- Good!

Heading back home, through the flower fields, you manage one last thing before you tap out and sleep in: that horned Dinosaur Skeleton needs to be studied and prepped for animation. Avarice and Annie are there to greet you, but you ignore them and grabbing your calculator Chemmy- head on down to the lab to pound out some last minute work before falling into a coma.
A good, hard, snooze in your own bed awaits you.

Final roll for the night: d100's Avarice and Annie have news for you.

Rolling out of bed the next day, sun shinin' high in the sky, you meet up with the staff to discuss what's been going on around the lair in the week you've been gone for. Annie whips up a particularly special breakfast, thankful for her new clothes and you pass that gold coin over to Avarice who's just as pleased to add more dosh to the pile before listing off what's happened over a sort of Huevos rancheros- it's not quite 'authentic, but both of your sides appreciate Annie's effort.

>25- Low Average, but even.
-Some more Changelings, this time several young people about your age. They had some basic party chemistry going: a warrior, a ranger, and one individual who knew very simple magic, they could have been locals, but we were unsure. They couldn't handle nor expected the area to be so cold and left nearly as quickly as they came.

-A compulsive Human Woman has been making returned trips to the lair -to the actual lair- both to inquire about your presence AND to harass all of the staff of paranormal heritage: Avarice, Annie, and Eloy specifically. Mildly annoying at best, but a potential security hazard at worst, though- it's assumed that if she knows where we live our location might be more 'aware' by the local population than we think.. Or maybe she's just a little detective? Avarice asks you if you happened to tell her where you lived.
That's kind of flattering.

AaaaaAaaAaaannddd... That's all you get for this week! I'm tapped out!

I'm surprised you guys never got around to fiddling with all the bodies we collected last week? We've got a Gorilla Corpse for goodness sake! A Gorilla!!
At any rate:

Tumbles is over here: http://spaghettiart.tumblr.com/ So you can keep tabs on me and my work (I found the wikipedia list of Dragons from around the world and might be hankerin' to draw some of these here Dragons.)
Thread is Archived, so go vote: http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/qstarchive.html?searchall=caster+quest

I'm happy and thankful for everybody who came out to show their support and participation. Things started a little slow- There was a Raccoon in the back yard, so I briefly stepped out to watch it (hadn't seen one in person before, I had been living in an area devoid of racoon). Thanks everyone who popped in at any time at all this week and... I hope I see you guys next week!
I'll be around!
I'll also be glued to the E3 Streams and probably getting no sleep playing Jurassic World Evolution when it launches on tuesday!

We have close to twenty gnolls and an unnumbered amount of Ice elementals/golems in the dungeon we can command.

Can anyone fathom the amount or work we can complete with sunscreen for undead and a pot of coffee?

What are we doing with all the mud we excavate? We should use all that to make something.
>>
>>2637724
What happens to all the dirt, mud, clay, etc. that we dig up?
>>
>>2640363
>>2640386

It's a Slibinas a kind of Hydra-like Dragon: it can breath a bit of smokey fire, it can fly awkwardly, and it'll be capable of sustaining itself in your Dungeon on the basis of it being pretty resistant to cold weather from all that fire breath it has, but it could potentially become a Frosty Dragon in time.

>>2641556
>>2641672

It's layin' around, y'know, just chilling out.
And you're right: you could probably use all the excavated material from the Dungeon to rebuild the town. Become a little lord.. We'd.. ..Need a crown though.. a little teenager sized crown..
>>
>>2641745
To rebuild the village we need villagers. How well do Changelings get along with other people? Trying to think of how'd we populate it beyond the goblinoids and vampires.

I'm kinda tempted to offer aid to the Changelings in rebuilding Hemlock to build up good will with them. And just to be nice, the Changelings have been good to us.
>>
>>2641745
A burger kings crown
We could also use the materials to help rebuild Hemlock. If we do we'll either use a lot of clothed Gnolls during the day and the Gnolls plus the ice elementals at night. That is unless we make a bunch of endothermic fire fueled golems to speak up the heat. Then afterwards we can hopefully set up the village close by once the Changelings aren't as spooked anymore....make a vegimite dungeon so the weeee babu changeling adventurers can train up for the big boy dungeons and don't feel discouraged.
What kind of corpses have the mound makers been bringing us?

>>2641757
Helping to rebuild Hemlock would be the step into the right direction. I think the only issue that's keeping any to consider moving close by is the dungeon and the "monstrous races" We have close by at hand.
>>
>>2640272
I was wondering why they just bumped it, I wouldn't have brought it up if they had actually asked a question or mentioned an idea.
Speaking of which, how cooperative are the golems that live in our dungeon? Or is that something we have yet to figure out? I'd like to set them up doing work for us, harvest lumber and chasing whisps and wraiths around to get their ectoplasm stuck in themselves so they can spit out bivrost for us.
Also next session I'm going to try to one of those skulls (forget their exact name) that extends the number of undead we can control and enshrine it in a frost golem so it isn't just sitting around waiting to be smashed.
You know we could use a page with information on the things we can craft besides undead and construsts. The booze, ice cream, witches brew, those skull things, the witching urns, jack o' lanterns, the wisp lanterns, frost enchantments and anything else I might have missed.
>>
>>2642215
Hmm, a Dungeon Info page like we have for our Lair might be good too, to keep track of its encounter table, interesting feature like the main crystal tree from the (formerly) dark acorn and the known resources it contains.
>>
Can anyone recall all the stuff we wanted to do?

With our upgraded lab we should really look into perfecting miasma shard generation
>>
>>2642842
Now that we have a dungeon I'm not sure we need to. We looked into that back when we didn't have something that naturally produced a steady supply of those.
>>
>>2642303
Yeah but with the lab we could try making Flawless crystals for advanced experiments and expanding the Dungeon dramatically.
>>
>>2643018
Exactly.

Growing a flawless miasma crystal for an eye to make that monoclops skeleton mage out of the elephant idea I've been floating around. With the bonemeal ice, combined with homunculus bones along with our knowledge of creating bone golems and troll anatomy we should be able to make it bipedal and vaguely humanoid like the dragons dogma Cyclops.
>>
>>2643030
Personally I'm kind of tired of mages, with the bodies Skulls being the exceptions. I would much rather make a Titan tier ice Elemental.
>>
>>2642215
>Also next session I'm going to try to one of those skulls (forget their exact name) that extends the number of undead we can control and enshrine it in a frost golem so it isn't just sitting around waiting to be smashed.

That's actually pretty clever and I'll tell you right now would work.
>>
>>2643330
But we're a Necromancer not a Cryomancer. We need to do more undead experimentation.

More Watcher Shrines
Improved skelly mages
New types of undead
Flying haunted skull mages

We're in a Necromancer Quest for goodness sake, we need more undead.

>>2643342
That would make our dark self proud. Definitely adding that to the list for next thread

>Walking Shrines
>>
>>2643354
Hordes of undead is just one flavor of necromancer. In this setting the different schools are set to 'themes' and necromancer's theme is 'ending'. And Cryomancer might be more inline with our theme than you think. Ice, true ice, isn't just cold water is this setting. No, true ice is inherently intertwined with the very same energies that animates undead, causes rapid decay and disintegration and poisons the ground.
>>
>>2643354
I think I'd rather trust someone alive. Well livelier than the typical undead.
>>
>>2643506
I've been here from thread one. I know ice is our secondary "element".

There are ways to create icy undead. OP has mentioned it and we've now got an excess of materials to experiment for that.

>>2643530
We will be able to make flesh golems next thread. Might be worth creating an 'apprentice'
>>
>>2643550
>ice is our secondary "element"
It's sure one he'll of a secondary Amerite?

A flesh golem I think I can agree with. After some philosophical debate on create sentience- actually no.
Throwing that train of thought out the window. We're a necromancer.

The important question should be, what should we use to make our flesh golem apprentice? What size and shape? Would they even be any good?
>>
>>2643550
>Might be worth creating an 'apprentice'
Anther thing I want to try is making a 'familiar' by taking a dark crystal, having Avarice carve it into a small crystal skull, anointing it with our bloody finger print and using that as the core for a small ice golem.
>>
>>2643578
Why not find a dead crow and insert a shard in it?
>>
>>2643574
we create a flesh golem vessel for our Dark Self to inhabit occasionally once he's more trustworthy
>>
>>2643581
Humanoid form for working as a lab assistant. I also want to use it as a prototype/proof of concept for an upscaled version golem lieutenant to organize a golem and snow creep labor force in out dungeon to tend the crystal forest and harvest its wood and mine bivrost for us.
>>
>>2643587
I get you, but having a large familiar humanoid seems almost redundant. You might as well make thar flesh golem mage apprentice / vessel for dark us.

So did you want to make a small or large humanoid skull for a medium sized golem?
>>
>>2643587
Oh and don't the snow creep already care for the forest and junk? If it's related to the shards or the tree I think their defaulted to protecting and caring for it.
Actually I think you might be onto something with the snow creeps mining Bifrost. If we give them the proper tools I think they'll just do it on their own. The next hurdle to deal with would be extracting the ores from them.

Here's an idea for everyone to consider. We put a very small amount of Bifrost in scarecrow golems to see if the cold can be used to halt to rotting process, and to see if golems can trigger the screeching sounds of the Bifrost to intimidate people. Gotta keep strangers off our property.
>>
>>2643601
The first would be a small skull for a small humanoid familiar. If that pans out then I'd want to make a larger skull for a larger humanoid that would act as a semi-independent task master in our dungeon overseeing the cataloging and collection of materials for us by the dungeon residents. The Architect did say he wanted a fair bit of materials and seemed very interested in crystal wood and bivrost in particular. The dungeon might be a bit too perilous for our goblin workers and the garms would gobble up an undead workforce hence my wanting to get ice golems (and snow creeps if they can be wrangled) organized in to laborers. Managing that would be a time consuming task, which is why I want to make a dedicated minion capable of overseeing such operations.

>>
>>2643684
Right and they're supposed to be the least plant killey type of Construct we can create? We should make make, ten more of them. No, twenty.
They can tend to the gardens and farm vegimite.
>>
>>2643586
This is an incredibly dangerous idea. I veto it
>>
>>2643713
You do have a point. Dark us is very dangerous and more geared towards progress with little regards of morals.

We should reconsider that after some time has passed. More time bonding with Annie is required.
>>
I still think we should experiment with empowering corpses, not just skeletons, with shards.

Why make a bipedal elephant mage when we could have an empowered ice troll with riding an undead elephant into battle like a gigantic warhorse.

We could try to experiment with that ape corpse, and getting it to be able to self-cast unholy frenzy to chimp out in battle.

Putting ritual skulls into golems is also a great idea we should work with.

Seeing as we can assemble our own custom bone golems we could experiment with all kinds of sp00ky things (like a skeleton contubernium that can lock arms and form a shield wall), and command them vocally while leaving our undead slots for big, powerful undead.

>Would it be weird to fuck one of the zombie gnolls?

It would be.
It'd also be a mild to wild health hazard.

Zombies aren't really "fuckable-quality" like Vampires and Flesh Golems are.
You drained a dead body of blood, stuffed it with herbs, dried it out a little, then fumigated it with magic- there's still much to be desired.

You gotta fuck the follow creatures to get the Corpse fucker achievement:
-Flesh Golem [x], Vampire [x], Creeper [ ], Dullahan [ ]

To get the COPSE Fucker title you gotta bone one of every prominent race in the province:
-Changeling [ ], Homunculi [x], Goblin [x], Hobgoblin [x], Demon [x], Insect Woman [ ], Beast Man [ ], Fey [ ], Orc [ ]

And then finally you get the "Green Thumb" by diddling the two plant races:
-Alraune [ ], Dryad [ ]

This is all a silly joke, but I will gladly award you these imaginary, pointless, titles n' achievements if we accomplish such a task.

>We should probably fuck a dark creep. I know we're endothermic and slightly cool to the touch, but I'm worried that if we tried it with an ice or snow creep it might melt.

Let me just clarify that a Creeper isn't a 'Creep'.
A Creeper is basically a 'wet' mummy: you gather up nothing but organs, wrap them up tightly in bandages, and then animate that. This is one of the only methods to reanimate a Changeling. Ye olde Necromancers invented such a drastic & visceral method when living Humans became fewer and fewer in number to effectively continue their work. They're resistant to sunlight, timid(they'll fuckin' spit acid at you though if you somehow manage to push them), and sapient- all unintended design quirks due to their unique build and composition of nothing but soft tissue.

Almost all of Catherine's 'current' Undead subjects are Creepers.. Hhhmmnn- Wonder where she got so many.

I'll try to include them in the next batch of Undead ID Cards.

There isn't anything about a creep to seduce or fuck, even if they were interested in such things (which they aren't since they don't reproduce but simply 'come about').

>>2654789
>So I have an important question, is there a pun to the effect of "Putting the romance into necromancer." on the Corpse fucker achievement card?
