April 7th, 1999.

Hopping out of your bed and walking to the living room, you unexpectedly spot Jotaro rustling a handful of papers. Since he tends to wake up around the same time you do, whatever your husband is doing must be important.
"I did a decent background check on Angelo, thought we could have a talk with Josuke after I showed you the type of guy we're dealing with." Jotaro declares, inviting you to sit on the couch with him.
"Oh? What did you find?"
"Anjuro Katagiri, a.k.a Angelo. Born in Morioh, 1964 and gifted with an IQ of 160, was first sent to juvenile prison at age 12 for robbery and rape. From that day forward he became one of the most infamous criminals in the history of Japan. He keeps finding a way to break out of prisons to repeat previous crimes, to the point where he had spent 20 years in prison by the time he was 34. His last crime proved that he was indeed beyond saving, despite being given the death sentence by hanging, Angelo refused to die after 30 minutes with his neck in the noose. He must have turned into a Stand user shortly after his previous prison break." Jotaro summarized Angelo's information.
"20 years? He's surely no ordinary thug... What was so bad about his last crime though?" You asked.
"In march of 1994, he happened to meet three 14 year old boys on his way. He raped and murdered to out of them, but due to the surviving child being from a rich family, he demanded a ransom from his parents. Although that led to his arrest, when the police infiltrated the area where the boy was being held, they found a truly horrific sight. The boy was already dead, and his genitals were chopped off and nailed to a pillar near his corpse."
"Oh My God! What sort of monster would do that for absolutely no reason?" You're shocked to hear the story, both as a mother and a Stand user, you're glad to know you've made the right decision by letting Jolyne stay with Joseph.

"Koichi called Kakyoin earlier today and gave him Josuke's number. It's only 7 AM so the boy might not be up just yet, I'm glad we didn't take too long to find him..." Jotaro admits, knowing full well the amount of suffering spared on both Josuke and Morioh by doing all your work in one day.

To be frank, you're not in a rush to call Josuke right now. Hell you didn't even have your breakfast yet, not everything on your day needs to be focused around Stand users and your workload.
You turn the TV on and put it in the movie channel, where it's showing a rerun of Titanic.
"Didn't you watch this movie 5 times when it came out? I can sing the main theme without even looking at the lyrics now." Jotaro groaned after seeing the romance film playing on screen.
"Aw, don't tell me you didin't love the cinematography! It was all but water at every scene." You replied. "It would be funny to hear you sing again. I still have our karaoke night recordings saved from back in the day."
"And that's exactly why I'm not singing again. What would Jolyne think of me if she knew her dad wasn't a good singer?" Jotaro said this with a straight face, but it sounded so much like a joke that you couldn't help but laugh.

"Have your ordered something to eat yet?"
"I've ordered a plate of oden to me, I was just waiting for you to get up to ask what you wanted."
"Nabemono again huh? I'll have some sukiyaki to go along with your dish." You move up to the phone and order your meal.

"You know, I thought with all you work on marine biology you wouldn't be into eating seafood." You wonder. "Doesn't that feel a bit weird since your last project was all about preserving corals and all?"
"Yeah, coral reefs, not regular fish who are already legally on the market. I'm not authoritarian when it comes to fishing, even though I don't support their practices. As long as they're not taking down endangered species I have no qualms with eating fishermen. I thought of making my next project about that, but I'm afraid it wouldn't be received well by my co-workers."
"Why not? Do you think it might sound dumb to them?"
"That's not it, I'm sure a majority of them would support it, but wouldn't be able to help me out since pointing out the effects of predatory fishing would imply the local government is doing a bad job at handling the damage they're doing to the environment. Doing this sort of job over there in Tokyo could be a problem for my career which few would be stupid enough to go through with it."
"I did see you scrapping a lot of projects before going to the trip, are you having trouble finding a lead now?"
"Angelo was the perfect excuse to find time for a better idea to follow up my last work, I could use the time off to study it's habitat or maybe find out something about local marine life. I heard they don't have a lot of info about starfishes here, I could head to the beach at a later date and see if it's worth my time."
"Awesome, I haven't been in the beach in the past 4 months, don't forget to hit me up when you head there!"

"You're aware that I'm going at the beach to work, right?"
"Yes, but not me!" You shrug, standing up after hearing the knocks on your front door.
After eating your food, you take a look at the book collection on the shelf Jotaro gave you, taking a look at what the Speedwagon Foundation had to offer.
The titles are so bland it's hard to judge them just by their cover, but you do have enough time to skim over one of them.

You've heard bits and pieces of DIO's origins, but the stone mask was the one thing that didn't make sense to you. Sure, you accepted that magic arrows and masks that could awaken hidden potential from humans were a thing long time ago, but how exactly the process of how placing a few spikes on your brain could make you weak to sunlight, able to fly and suck blood for a living must have some sort of explanation.
However, You don't think any of that is relevant to your research on lab grown organs, so for the sake of staying on topic you decide to take a look strictly at the undead races and see if the archived data on them could be useful. Certainly creatures that can ignore and regenerate mortal wounds had unique properties to their bodies which humans could be informed of.

"Zombies: Standing at the lower fourth of the supernatural food chain, zombies are created only by vampires at will after humans or other sorts of organisms have their blood sucked out by a vampire and given enough vampiric extract to live, but not to turn into a full fledged vampire. They're easily distinguished by their rotting stench, lower intelligence and immunity to pain, which makes them stronger than the average human due to not being inhibited by muscle strain on top of the power received by vampires. Since there are no living vampires since 1987, it is currently impossible for a zombie to be born by vampiric essence alone."
Damn, that part about immunity to pain cold have been an efficient anesthetic on the right hands, but the part about vampiric essence would be harmful to regular people. You also don't want vampires to come back after all the trouble you had to go through so there's that...

"Vampires: Due to a failed experiment on behalf of Pillar Men Kars in his acupuncture techniques with the stone mask on humans, vampires were used as food for the ancient race along with humans before they became extinct. Humans are able to reject their race by triggering the stone mask's blood sensitive mechanism or by receiving vampiric essence from other vampires. Due to various other failed stone masks being created by Pillar Men, several cases of vampire sightings were reported throughout Europe, America and Africa. With humans being capable of killing vampires with Hamon without the threat of Pillar Men, oil baron Robert Speedwagon vowed to cease the vampires' havoc by destroying all stone masks remaining in honor of his deceased friend Jonathan Joestar, who passed away after losing his life to DIO and his diabolical plans."
Hmm. It doesn't look like there are any other masks left for you to study. Oh well, it's not like vampires had any information you didn't know about anyways. Despite being a bummer that you can't use their biological properties for good, you sure understand Speedwagon's decision for not wanting more vampires around.

"Pillar Men: Little is known about them aside from the creator of the Stone Mask being awakened in 1938 with his 4 servants. Their advanced intelligence, senses, body manipulations and immortality shows the humanoid species once ruled the earth before and along with humans, since Joseph Joestar and his Hamon clan stopped the remaining Pillar Men from resurging, the only proof of their existence is a sample of Warrior Santana's skin at [REDACTED]"
Redacted, huh? I'm sure Joseph knows where it is. If there was a way to remove the vampiric essence on his Pillar Men cells but still keeping their properties, growing organs on your labs would be significantly easier and faster...

"Ultimate Life Form: Achieved solely by Pillar Men Kars before being ejected into space, it's a transformation only achievable once a Pillar Men activates a stone mask affixed with the light absorbing Red Stone Of Aja, after said ritual his overall capabilities were greatly enhanced within a day as Kars was able to reshape his body on a cellular level, use Hamon all while being unaffected to sunlight. With no way to replicate the effects of the Aja Stone or living Pillar men on Earth, it is unlikely this form will be much more than a one time occurrence."

Good then, you barely read about the form and it already sounds like hell on earth! With no reason to emulate any of that, you fail to see how that would help your project, or anyone for that matter.
"Well that was...Sort of helpful. It brings up nice theories to the table for me to use but without any way to use their data for good this is nothing more than trivia" You pouted.

*RING RING RING RING*
"It must be Josuke." Jotaro walked over to the phone.
"I got it." You answer the phone for him since you were closer to it. "Hello?"
"Hitomi-san? Hi there, Koichi said Jotaro wanted to talk to me. What's the hubbub about?" Josuke answered

Not wanting to leave either Jotaro or yourself out of the conversation, you place the phone on speaker mode so all three of you could have a proper talk.
"Was that you on the news stopping a robbery yesterday? I thought you would stay out of trouble after we told you about Angelo..." You say with a hint of disappointment in your tone.
"That was part of the problem, actually. I saw a stand possessing the robber, the poor dude didn't even know what happened with him in the past 20 minutes. It was really awkward to take the knife out of his stomach..."
"A what in his stomach!?" You're caught off guard by what Josuke did to the man, the kid really needs to lay off with the hair tantrums.
"Sorry, I wasn't really thinking straight when that happened. At least everyone was safe in the end..." Josuke nervously laughs, trying to hide the blame from his voice.

"Still, a stand attacking you out of the blue can't be a coincidence. Was Angelo nearby? The guy on the picture?" Jotaro asks.
"Nope, The watery stand was the only thing I saw coming from out of the robber's body, he must have been watching me from the crowd or far away-- Hold on, my hair's not setting right." Josuke drops the phone to comb his hair
"A watery stand that enters inside people... We've dealt with a similar fighter when we were younger, didn't we?" Jotaro was quick to remind you. "Listen Josuke, long ranged stands tend to be weak, but since it's small enough to control a human, it might be troublesome for a single person to fight it. We're heading to your house now."
"C-come again?" Josuke catches the phone again to advise against his nephew's idea.
"You better not eat or drink anything until we get there, not even tap water. Don't shower or use the bathroom either, got it?" Jotaro impulsively warns.
"Hold on, I can't invite you here without warning my mother all about it. She's a pretty tough mom, but she's still pretty sensitive when it comes to my father, she cried about him every time I tried to ask about dad when I was younger. She'll know who you are with one look! I can't tell her everything I know like that--"
"Who are you talking to Josuke? And why do you have pictures of the new milkman stapled over the table?" A rough female voice speaks over the student, followed by an uncomfortable silence.

"Josuke? Are you there? What happened?"
"Crap, too late! That Stand went right into my mom's mouth from the coffee!" Josuke slammed the phone on the counter, rushing out of the bathroom to help his mother.
You hear a brief conversation between Josuke and his mom, followed by furniture being hit and a longer interval of silence.

>Call for Josuke.

"What was that?" Jotaro pressed for info after you hanged up the phone.
"Our hint to help him out ASAP!" You grab hold of the hotel keys and lead Jotaro out the hallway.
"Milk and sugar, right Josuke?" Tomoko asked him as the teenager walked back towards the phone.
"Yup, thanks mom. I caught the stand in a bottle Jotaro, what should I do with it?" Josuke talked into the speaker, not realizing the call was over.
"Did he hung up? That's just great... What am I supposed to deal with this thing now?" He stared at Angelo's stand stuck inside the container.

"Wait, Josuke doesn't live in our neighborhood. It would take too long to get there on foot." Jotaro informs.
"Kakyoin's up right? His car could lead us there and Hierophant Green is a great ally." You sprint to Kakyoin's room and knock on his door, speaking to the programmer about Josuke being in danger.
"My car's short on gas after yesterday, I don't know if it has enough to reach Jōzenji. Asking for a cab would take longer, but at least it has the chance of not stopping in the middle of the road." Kakyoing cursed himself for not stopping at a gas station for a refill.
With little time to consider the most viable option, you opted with:

"It's worth the shot, you better step on that gas Kak!" You wait for him to get his car keys as you move to the parking lot.
With the road being fairly clear and Kakyoin managing to dodge all red lights while driving safely, the only opposing force to ruin the momentum was the lack of gasoline.
"How's the car holding up?" You ask Kakyoin as he entered the highway.
"I only have a liter left. I need to park it somewhere!" He starts to brake, looking for a place to leave the car.
"Hold on, I have an idea! you take Kakyoin's shoes out and dig into the vehicle's fuel tank with Karma Chameleon to absorb the liquid.
"Wait, what are you going to do with my shoes?"
"I'll give you a new pair later, we need to compromise comfortable footwear in emergencies like these!" You turn Kakyoin's heels into gasoline with your stand and successfully give his care more fuel to work with.

"Why did it had to be specifically MY shoes? You're wearing sandals too!"
"Sandals are a lot lighter than shoes and I couldn't think of another object that didn't belong in the car, now back off Josuke's house!
"You could have asked for an Emerald Splash..." Kakyoin feels bothered by the random stealing of his belongings, but ultimately keeps his eyes on the road.
Accelerating to Jōzenji road 1-6, Kakyoin parks right outside of the Higashikata household.
*Ding Dong*
A startled Josuke answers the door after the first ring on the doorbell.
"Jotaro-san? I didn't think you would arrive so quickly."
"You're welcome. Where is everyone?" Jotaro responds.
"Mom left to work and Gramps just got here from the police station. I had a feeling you guys would show up so I was just hanging out with him in the meantime." Josuke's eyes go wide open once he realizes he left the bottle containing Aqua Necklace inside alone with his grandfather.
"Quick! Move over to the second floor!" Josuke leaves the door open for everyone to follow him, but before stepping into his home, you hear some rustling on his garden's bushes.
Your hearing was improved due to being blind for 5 years, so unless the wind was blowing very hard, there would be no reason to hear such a loud and incessant noise unless something was there.

Intrigued by the unusual rustling sounds in Josuke's garden, you decide to sidetrack in hopes of finding Angelo somewhere around Josuke's house. He does have a ranged stand after all, so to try and attack Josuke or his mother he needs a good spot to see what he's doing.
Approaching a hedge, you see a knife popping out of the plant a quarter of a second before your attacker could move in to stab you, to which you dodged without needing to use your stand.
"Angelo?" You stop the knife from going into your throat by holding his wrists.
"Is this neighborhood blessed with hot women or something? I wanted to bang Josuke's hot mom after I killed him and that piece of shit officer Ryohei, but you'll do just fine!" The perverted man fantasizes about raping your dead corpse, plunging his knife inches away from your windpipe.
"In your dreams, creep!" You punch the murderer straight in the face with your stand, pulling him into a barrage of blows from Karma Chameleon herself.

"KORESOREKORESOREKORESOREKORESOREKORESORE!" You knock the bastard against a tree, breaking it on Angelo as part of the trunk fell right into his torso.
"End of the line, Angelo! You were too slow to even use your stand on me!" You aim a kick at the injured killer's stomach.
"Who said I wanted to use Aqua Necklace on you?" Angelo smirked as an old man's scream is heard in Josuke's house.

"GRANDPA!"
"DORARARARARARARARA!"
"He's moving over to the window!"
"Where's Hitomi!?"
"Emerald Splash!"

Kakyoin's emeralds break the glass window above you, where Aqua Necklace freely dropped down, intending to jump inside your mouth.
"KORE!" Your fighting sense was all it took to rationalize that the noise above you meant Angelo would attempt a flank, but punching the puddle back into Angelo gave him the opportunity to use his watery claws to cut the trunk on his body, leaving the psycho with no weights to prevent his escape.
"Stupid Josuke, This is all your fault for not keeping your eyes on me! There's nothing I love more than seeing cocky guys like you step into the depths of despair!" Angelo laughed straight into Josuke's face, with the once calm and collected teenager staring at his foe with nothing but hatred in his eyes.
"Speaking of which, I think Jotaro won't be the only one going inside this babe once I take my leave and kill him later."

"Josuke, What did he do?" You ask the young stand user, who doesn't even glance in your direction.
"Now you've really done it, Angelo... Killing my grandfather and putting the blame on me... I'm going down there myself!" Josuke summons Crazy Diamond and plummets to the ground.
"Emerald Splash!" Kakyoin accompanies Josuke's lunge by shooting another barrage of jewels on the criminal.
"HGN!" As soon as Angelo thinks of getting away, Jotaro freezes time.
"After saying that straight to my face, I won't even be nice enough to give you a head start." Jotaro drops to Angelo's side and punches 2 holes on the ground, binding the rapist's legs into the holes.
"Time continues to flow!"

"DORARARARARARARA!" Without even noticing Star Platinum's masterful technique, Josuke repeatedly elbows Angelo into his garden, effectively burying him up to his head.
"Not so threatening now that you're six feet under, huh?" You tauntingly step on his head. "Now we just need to find Aqua Necklace and we'll be good to go.
You charge your Hamon and look over to where Angelo's stand was previously at so you could boil the water out of him, but the slimy creature managed to sneak behind Josuke to lunge at into his mouth, with Angelo laughing his ass off as he saw Josuke about to die the same way his grandfather did.
Crazy Diamond catches Aqua Necklace halfway through Josuke's mouth, but the slippery nature of Angelo's stand makes it hard for the pompadour boy to safely pull it out of his throat.

Don't get cocky, we still have to deal with Josuke's grandpa.

Between Star Platinum doing Stand-CPR with the heart, Crazy Diamond restoring the body to optimal shape, and the life energies of Hamon, we might stand a better chance of saving him than in canon (e.g. Jotaro doing nothing).

Placing Karma Chameleon's hand on the dirt dug up by Jotaro, you let her absorb the floor beneath her to maintain a better grip on Aqua Necklace, helping out Josuke as the liquid stand turned into mud.
"Blargh! *Cough Cough Cough*" Josuke choked after feeling all the dirt in his mouth, spitting out the stand and trying to get the grass out of his tongue.
"Sneak attacks aren't sneaky at all if you loudly cackle before attacking, Angelo." Kakyoin scoffs.
Even with Aqua Necklace stuck under a pile of mud on the ground, Angelo still refused to quit the fight.
"I got a feeling he's the type that only interprets a message after it's bashed against his head. Does anyone want to do the honors?" Jotaro looks to the group.

"Please, leave this to me." Josuke volunteers.
"J-Josuke!? You're not going to kill me, right?" Angelo begins to panic after seeing the vengeful JoJo crouch down to meet his gaze. "Sure, I'm an escaped death row inmate. But just because I was found guilty by japanese law doesn't mean you have the right to condemn me! I killed your grandpa, but you have no right to kill me! If you do it you'll end up being just like me, a cursed soul to which your grandfather swore to fight against as a police officer! You will be nothing but a hypocrite--"
*BAM*
Josuke simply picked up the remainders of the tree stump destroyed in the brawl, dropped it on Angelo's unprotected forehead and punched it with Crazy Diamond for good measure.
"Shut your hole. You're the one who has no right to go telling people what they can and can't do. I'm not going to murder you. You won't be executed or be sent back to jail." Josuke announced to the terrified man below him.
"Wh-What will you do to me?" Angelo asked after lifting his neck up, not noticing the tree stump fusing into his buried body.
"Repent for eternity, Angelo! For all the people you have killed including my grandpa!"
"DORARARARARARARARARARARA!" Crazy Diamond squashed Angelo deep into the wrecked tree, distorting both the plant and the living man inside of it as they meshed together into a single being.

"You will live forever in the city Gramps protected." Josuke's anger ceased as he saw Angelo's face carved into a hole in the tree, screaming as the futile attempts at moving his newfound limbs did not prove to be fruitful.

As the traces of Angelo disappeared to form a new type of plant altogether, Josuke breathed deeply, calming himself down after losing his temper to the point of turning a man into a Sakura Tree.
"Hey Josuke, I couldn't help but notice Aqua Necklace slashed at your lip on it's way out, why didn't you heal that cut yet?" Kakyoin pointed out to the student's blood dripping under his chin.
"Crazy Diamond can't heal my own wounds, if you don't count this limitation my Stand can heal just about anything." Josuke apprehensively fixes the broken window where Angelo's Stand came from. "Oh no! I was so focused on lashing out on Angelo that... Grandpa!"
Walking back to the 2nd floor room, you see an elderly man laying motionless on the carpet, bleeding from his eyes, nose and mouth.
"Did Angelo tear his brain from the inside out?" You ask the group.
"That's not it! Silly Gramps opened the cap on the bottle thinking it was whiskey, there's nothing to worry about now that I'm looking at him up close. It's just a minor wound, Crazy Diamond should be able to just..." Josuke restores Ryohei's body to a previous condition, patching all of his wounds in the process.

"See? All fixed up." Josuke's smile is short lived as he waits for his grandfather to wake up, his hope decreasing with each second passed.
"Huh? It can't be... He should be waking up! My Stand can heal everything. I've done it several times since I was a kid. I even fixed the neighbor's broken knee the other day!" Josuke desperately lifts Ryohei by the collar. "Come on Gramps! I'll be really mad at ya if you're messing around! You heard me say you were dead back there and thought of pulling a trick on me, didn't you? I was just being hyperbolic! You don't need to try to scare me anymore, I know you're just fooling around Gramps! GRAMPS?"
Since the heat of the moment caused Josuke to skip straight into the second stage of grief, he reverted from anger to denial after the likely death of his family member sunk in.
"Josuke?" You placed a hand on his shoulder, trying to take the boy out of his trance.
"The wound's completely--" Josuke turns around and stops himself from finishing his sentence, clearly not wanting to face the truth.

Star Platinum or some other Stand does CPR directly to the heart while Hitomi does Hamon.

Crazy Diamond has mended Ryohei's body to it's intact state, but it isn't functioning independently. Maybe we can get the brain started by doing the Hamon bit while Star Platinum provides circulation via heart pumps.

I'm not entirely sure whether Kakyoin can help out with Hierophant Green.

"Maybe Jotaro and I could help you out. Crazy Diamond can only go so far by himself." You offer your support and signal Jotaro to approach Ryohei.
"What do I need to do?" Jotaro summons Star Platinum.
"Remember how I pumped Avdol's heart so he could survive a shot to the chest? Maybe we can do the same thing to Josuke's grandpa, but since I need to share some Hamon with him to get his brain up and running, You'll have to do that for me."
"I just have to phase my hand through him like this, right?"
"Precisely, but be gentle, an old man's heart is sensitive to the touch."

With Jotaro's aid and your medical expertise, The middle aged police officer managed to hang by a thread and survive Angelo's assault, opening his eyes to greet Josuke.
"Hm? Josuke? Why am I lying on the ground? And who are these folks behind you?" The confused old man whispered.
"You fell asleep on the floor, Gramps!" Josuke chuckles, barely containing his happiness through a well intentioned lie. I'm not seeing anyone behind me, you must be so exhausted from yesterday's night shift that you're hallucinating. Here, I'll help you get to bed."
And with that Josuke lifted Ryohei and carried him on the shoulder, turning back to give you and Jotaro a thumbs up.

You patiently waited for Josuke to take care of his Ryohei on the first floor so you could have a proper talk with him.
"Hitomi-san! Jotaro-san! Words cannot express the gratitude I have for you two! I thought my stand would be able to heal him, but if it wasn't for you..." Josuke bowed down in upmost respect.
"Hey Hey! Helping out our family is par for the course, no need to get so agitated!" You stare back at his eyes, which slightly baffles the teenager.
"I'm sorry for asking Hitomi-san, but your eyes are moving a lot more since the last time I saw you, has your vision improved since then?"

"Honestly, it's a long story I don't want to get into. But you should stop by Tonio Trussardi's Restaurant for a snack someday for a better answer." You reply.
"The one by the graveyard? I don't know, I heard he opened it last month but it just felt disrespectful to eat at the place..." Josuke raises an eyebrow, failing to understand what that had to do with the topic.
"How about your grandfather? Is he going to be ok?"
"I managed to convince him he was just having a really weird dream. Hopefully he won't even bat an eye at me when he wakes up." Josuke looks up to Ryohei's room. "Gramps was the one who arrested Angelo back in the day, so once he found out he shared a last name with the guy who humiliated him in a robbery, Angelo thought he'd be able to kill to birds with one stone! Grandpa might be growing old, but if anything Angelo showed me I shold follow in gramps' footsteps when he retires, I'll protect the city just like he did!"
"Never mind that, how did you turn Angelo into a tree? I thought you were only able to fix things." Kakyoin observes the garden plant, unnerved at how creepy it looked.
"That's usually how it goes, but when I get angry Crazy Diamond just does whatever it feels like. It's how I grew hands on Hitomi-san's stand." Josuke explained.
"I see. You spent some time watching over Aqua Necklace before we got here, did he mention anything about an arrow?" Jotaro added.

"Not really, why?"
"There are 2 ways a normal human can turn into a Stand user without being born as one: inheriting through your family or artificially with a special arrow. We found the first one back in the 80s in Egypt with a vampire named DIO." Kakyoin informed.
"Vampires? Do you really expect me to believe that?" Josuke was taken aback by Kakyoin's answer, but seeing how everyone was dead serious, he was quick to dismiss his own question.
"The Joestar Family has been trying to get rid of DIO and his legacy for over 100 years. That includes searching for the few arrows he left behind so they don't get in the wrong hands." Jotaro concluded.
"Oh, and how many have you got so far?"
"Two, we were supposed to receive a third one from an Italian mob boss but he has yet to give them back. Our information broker told us there are currently 2 arrows somewhere in Japan, and given my Old Man's photos, Angelo's mysterious prison escape after surviving a death sentence and the fact no one else has ever seen him use supernatural powers until recently, it all lead to him knowing about the arrow."
"Jeez, my bad! I didn't know you wanted to ask him some questions. I can't turn him to normal now..." Josuke hung his head low.
>>
>>2635026
"It's alright, we can still look for the arrows without Angelo. You think Polnareff would know something?" Kakyoin asked, pulling his car keys out of his pocket.
"You're already leaving? Wait, I have another question for Hitomi-san! This might be really unrelated, but now that her eyes are alright I wanted to know what she thinks of my hair! She's the only one who didn't see it when we first met so a second opinion would be nice."
Really? It won't waste too much of your time, but that just sounds unnecessary... This type of pompadour was already out of style when you were his age, and despite not looking that badly on him there's nothing too positive you can say... Then again Josuke's so sensitive about his hair you'll have to watch out to not offend him or else he'll treat it like you stepped on his mother's grave.

"It's uh... An alright look for you actually." You struggled for compliments. "I know a friend who sported a similar hairdo so I'm used to these styles, it works well on you Josuke."
"HA! I knew I would an adult who agreed with mom and gramps. I'd like to hang out with that friend of yours then, we could walk around town looking for hair gel or just generally agreeing on how good we look." He jokes around.
"About your mother, I was hoping to talk to you on that. Have you told her about Joseph, Stands or anything alike?" Jotaro asked.
"I did not. Should I? I didn't give it much thought before so I just kept it private."
"That's debatable... I don't see any reason to talk with her when it comes to Stands, but keeping her in the dark about a future inheritance could cause Josuke some trouble later on..." Kakyoin argued.
"Hey, we came here to take care of Angelo and look for the arrow. Not to delve into the Higashikata family's problems." Jotaro dismissed him.
"Just because we don't have a reason to help him out doesn't mean it's out of our hands." Kakyoin shrugged.
"I can talk to her myself when she comes back from work, what do you want me to say?" Josuke offered to be the team player.

"She's your mom Josuke, it's only fair for you to decide the best course of action. But it might be better to introduce us now since we'll be in your company fairly regularly due to stand shenanigans and all." You opt for the most reasonable choice.
"You sure? She'll only get home at dinner time so it's going to take a while..."
"We don't have to meet her personally, as long as she's well informed so it doesn't look like her son's just walking around with strangers on her end you should be fine." Kakyoin says.
"Alright, I'll have plenty of time to think on how to tell her all of that, leave it to me." Josuke waves goodbye. "If you'll excuse me, I need to pretend I'm not 1 hour late for school."

"All's Well That Ends Well, right guys?" Kakyoin got back in the car, driving the three home again.
"I didn't expect the takedown of a murderer to go so smoothly, but I'm not complaining." Jotaro admits.
"You think the town's safe for Jolyne to come out now? She'll be mad at us for lying if we keep her in New York after we've already taken care of Angelo." Kakyoin keeps the convo going.
"Who knows. She can see stands despite not having one, so I'm sure she's better off than the average human, but I wouldn't call Morioh a safe haven just yet." Jotaro turns the radio on.
"We could always call Avdol for extra stand strength if you're not sure. He already closed his fortune telling shop and he's a better babysitter than me, He's only waiting for a confirmation at this point."

"Do you have your cell phone in the car, Kakyoin? I think it's time to show both Avdol and Jolyne what Morioh has to offer." You ask your friend to invite everyone in town.
"Sure, It's right in the-- Give me a second, it's from the company." Kakyoin answers his coworker.
"Hello? What? The development's going as planned? Perfect, the game should be out by December then. I know it's unprofessional to leave as the lead developer of one game when I said I would help you with yours, but you know how I am, Yu."
"What? Oh for crying out loud, I told you Segata Sanshiro is not making a comeback! It was supposed to be a one-off joke but it got way out of hand! Fujioka-san has better things to do than to role-play as a martial artist! No, and goodbye!"
Kakyoin ends the call after the brief conversation, feeling embarrassed to share his work problems with his group of friends.

Soon after reaching Morioh Grand Hotel, you first called Joseph in order to set a private jet to safely escort Jolyne to Japan. While you thought she would be ecstatic to hear that, your daughter replied only with a drowsy
"Okay..."
Suzi did report she was feeling weird after the last stroll around the city, but for her to react this way when exiting a place she disliked isn't really like her. Jolyne must be feeling pretty sickly, to which you would worry about until the day she arrived.
Avdol on the other hand, was thrilled to spend the time looking for clues on the arrows with the old group.
"Arrows this, arrows that? God, these stupid things will haunt us for the rest of our lives, huh? Might as well add two more to our collection!"

April 15, 1999.

"Jotaro! She's here!" You inform your partner about the Speedwagon Foundation car near the hotel. As Jotaro walked to the car and carried the fragile 6 year old girl on his arms, he couldn't help but feel the high temperature on her body.
"Hi Mama... Hi Papa..." She meekly whispered.
"Good grief, she must be at 40°C! What happened while we were out?" Jotaro asks the Foundation workers.
"No idea, aside from the fever and exhaustion she showed no other symptoms."

"Don't worry sweetie, Mama will take care of you." You pull Jolyne close for a hug while Jotaro is holding her, giving an increased feeling of safety to the poor child as she blankly stared back at you.
"Are you going to do the thing with your Stand again?" She asked before you felt her up with Karma Chameleon, checking her lungs and heart to see if they were properly functioning before you felt a punch blowing your hand away from Jolyne.
"Ow! What the hell, Jotaro?" You accuse him of hitting you for no reason.
"It wasn't me! A blue fist came out of her." Jotaro objected.
"I didn't mean to do that Mama! Are you hurt?" Even at her state, Jolyne still tries to apologize.
"So her stand's finally acting up?" It was only a matter of time since she was able to see Karma and SP at 2, but to think she would have the same Stand disease Holly received by proxy from The World gives you a feeling of deja vu.
But unlike Holly, no one in your family that you know of has received a stand recently. Why now? Is it the overexposure?
"Do you think we should ask the Foundation for a spare arrow?" You asked Jotaro.
"And risk losing it to whoever has the other ones? It's dangerous, but I doubt her stand will come out naturally. I'll contact them, you focus on bringing her fever down." Jotaro brings her inside the hotel.

"Yo, Angelo!" Josuke greeted the Tree outside his house before walking to school with Koichi.
"Was that tree always there?" The midget stares at it's deformed trunk.
"Yup, It just didn't look like that at first."
"If you say so... Yo, Angelo!" Koichi mimicked Josuke's line before following his way to the next block. "What's Jotaro-san doing today?"
"He's having some visits at the Hotel, probably won't go out today for his friendly meetup." Josuke informed.
"Oh, good for him? Did he invite you? I bet he has a lot on his mind to share ." Koichi smiled.

>No, but I wish he did. Jotaro-san is a cool guy.

"No, but it's not like we know each other very well. I'm sure he has nothing against me but what's the point of bringing me there?" Josuke argues.
"Fair point, Hitomi-sam and him seem like a very happy couple. Not really sure about that Kakyoin guy though."
"I heard he works doing video games. Do you think he could beat me at Street Fighter Alpha 2?"
"No way Josuke, You're unbeatable at that game! Next time we're at the arcade I'm playing Time Crisis..." Koichi complained.
Both Josuke and Koichi have been getting along fairly well after butting heads with Jotaro. Living only a few blocks from each other meant they could easily interact before, during and after school. Josuke appreciated someone he could vent to when the secrecy of Jotaro's mission was too much to hold in, and while Koichi understood none of it, he was a great listener anyway.

Walking along to an abandoned house, Koichi noticed a dimly lit candle being held on the basement window.
"Hey Josuke, No one's lived in this house for 2 to 3 years, right?"
"Yeah, it's so run-down that they won't even sell it. The building should just be torn down and rebuilt if you ask me." Josuke reassured him, but Koichi didn't believe him.
"But I saw someone on the window just now, maybe someone moved in recently."
"Nah, I live right next to this house. I would know right away if there was someone there. Besides, realtors are always making sure homeless people don't crash here."
"Then what was that I just saw? A ghost?" Koichi stuck his head in-between the front gate, still feeling skeptical.
"H-Hey! I told you I was afraid of ghosts. Don't say that in front of my house, I could get jinxed!"

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eLWXUYJIuHU
"Stop gawking at my house, you brat!" The raspy voice of another teenager was all the warning Koichi received before the gate he was leaning on closed on his throat, with the attacker's foot pressing down on the iron door to choke the intruder.
"Koichi! What do you think you're doing?" Josuke raised his voice at his neighbor.
"That's my line! You two are the ones invading my property." He replied to Josuke, nonchalantly kicking the gate to torture Koichi.

You're both correct, Guile was a failed attempt at putting Polnareff in a fighting game before Heritage for the Future, Guile's hair got stretched to the sides to better fit an original design so he ended up looking more like Stroheim. The J. Geil reference was also intended, though apparently caused by a mix up from Capcom's staff.

It's P2, but it got delayed to around the same date Shenmue will launch. The guy Kakyoin was talking on the phone was Shenmue's creator Yu Suzuki, a developer he became friends with on a trip to Tokyo when he proposed the idea of Segata Sanshiro to market the Saturn, Yu was upset because Kak said he would help supervise the game he made but didn't take his absence to heart.

"Have you lost your mind?!" Josuke reacts to the dweller torturing his classmate.
"My father was the one who bought this house. None of you get to dig around here, you hear me? Never ever!"
"I'm not talking about that you idiot, if you don't let go of Koichi now... I'll get really mad!" Josuke warns.
"Hey now, idiot is a bit much, ain't it? Name-calling someone you just met right in front of their house... Don't you have any manners?" The resident stalls for time by provoking Josuke.
"No, but I do know how to shut that mouth of yours." Josuke drift his eyes to his foe, the perfect distraction for the mysterious figure saw by Koichi to shoot a golden arrow on the midget stuck on the gate, piercing his throat as his eyes rolled to the back of his head.
"WHAT THE HELL!?" Both Josuke and his foe were flabbergasted at the unexpected attack coming from the abandoned house.

"Big bro Keicho? What was that for?" The younger brother asks the man above him, who approaches the window so he could be heard.
"Okuyasu. Do you want to know why I shot Koichi Hirose with the arrow? That guy over there is Josuke Higashikata." He points to the student with a protruding pompadour.
"Really? So that's the guy?"
"If he managed to defeat Angelo, that means he's a Stand user who'll be trouble for us as well."
"So that's the arrow Jotaro-san and the other were looking for? You're the one who gave Angelo his Aqua Necklace?" Josuke asked Keicho, but the blonde man was answering none of his questions.
"Okuyasu! Make Josuke and his buddy disappear!"

With Okuyasu opening the door to take care of Josuke, Koichi's limp body fell over as the barely conscious boy failed to breathe with a foreign object destroying his trachea.
"Koichi is going to die if I wont treat that wound, but he's outside of Crazy Diamond's range!" Josuke grit his teeth.
"Hmph! I was hoping he would get a Stand like the others, but he's too weak for that. No matter, just stop him from reaching Koichi, Okuyasu." Keicho went back inside his house, disappearing from the window frame.

Taking out a snap button out of his own jacket, Josuke flicked it in Okuyasu's direction.
"Do you think a button will distract me from a fight? Here, I'll catch it with my own hands."
"Crazy Diamond!" Josuke's Stand ability froze the alien object in the air, confusing the hell out of Okuyasu, who kept staring at the levitating button.
"What? How did you even do that?" as Josuke's opponent observed the button, Josuke would be able to reach Koichi if it weren't for Keicho's interruption.
"Okuyasu, don't let him pass the damn gate! Dipshits with no skill or guts will maneuver their abilities like crap no matter how good they are on their own! Stop messing around!"
*POW*

"You don't have to be so mean about it..." Okuyasu punched Josuke away from the gate to the middle of the road, feeling offended by his own brother's dissing.
"The Hand is a Stand that gives me chills just thinking about it's potential. I would have already killed Josuke by now!" Keicho snaps at his brother.
"That's just great... So it won't be as easy as entering the front door to enter your house? Fine, get out of my way then!" Josuke sprinted at Okuyasu, prompting him to summon a white and blue stand with two lumps on his right palm.
Predicting Okuyasu's attack pattern, Crazy Diamond immobilized The Hand's arm before it's fist could reach CD's face.
"The Hand, huh? Something tells me you're showing way too much confidence on your offensive stance." Josuke points out while wrestling with Okuyasu's stand.
"LET GO OF MY HAND, COWARD!" A green flare started to form on The Hand's palm lumps, readying a powerful attack to prove Josuke right.

Not wanting to discover Oku's ability first hand, Josuke made the snap button from before return back to his jacket with such speed that Okuyasu got knocked down his feet just by the button passing under his calves, leaving Crazy Diamond in condition to let go of The Hand as Okuyasu scraped the air above him with his right hand.
"AAAAAAAAAH!" Okuyasu was sent flying as the space hit by The Hand's flare was erased from reality, sending him up into the sky as he slowly braked it's fall by scraping bits and pieces of the air below him.
Unbeknownst to him, The Hand's space erasure attracted a fire candle trying to breezing away from the fisticuffs, who disappeared soon after engulfed by Josuke's rival.
"Huh? That's weird, first my bus arrives late to Morioh, now the only means I have of tracking Jotaro gets sucked into the air and disappears?" A graying Egyptian man scratches his head, looking for his fire ward before witnessing a Stand descending into an old building. "Is that a flying Stand user I'm seeing?"

"AAAAAAAAH!"
"DORA!" While Okuyasu managed to partially break his fall, he unfortunately landed on Crazy Diamond, who head-butted Okuyasu into a stop sign.
"Was that a bird you just scraped away?" Josuke curiously asks the injured boy laying down on the sidewalk.
"I'm not sure what it was either, but you got the scraping away part right. Even then I don't know whrere the poor thing is now--" Okuyasu calmed down before recomposing himself. "HEY! Don't make small talk with the guy you're fighting against!"
"You're not very bright, are you?" Josuke even gave him time to stand up before resuming the brawl.
"What's it to ya? My stand is just as strong as yours, if you were able to beat Angelo I shouldn't be that far off from you!" Okuyasu stretches his arms, double checking for serious injuries.
"Well I didn't defeat Angelo by myself but--"
"Stop being so relaxed! Get angry!" Okuyasu summons The Hand once again, but judging by his heavy breathing, the ragged clothes and his lack of temper, this fight is pretty much over.

"Home Run, baseball-face!" Crazy Diamond brings Okuyasu down with a chop to the nape, winning the fight without giving him unecessary injuries. "Next time just let me in."
Josuke is quick to perceive the trail of blood leading into the manor, implying Keicho snuck out of the house to bring Koichi in at some point during the scuffle. Being forced to follow after Keicho and Koichi, Josuke was met by his next challenge at the doorstep.
"This arrow is very precious to me Josuke, it's the only one I have! I need to retrieve it in order to complete my objective." Keicho yanks the bloody arrow off Koichi's body, turning the unconscious boy into a blood fountain.
"NO! Now he'll bleed out even faster!"
"Since my younger brother is too much of a failure to take care of you. I'll have to kill you myself. Which means it won't be good if something were to happen to this arrow. If the lady next door happens to see it or snaps it in half by accident, that wouldn't be good for me. I'm the methodical type, you see. Just like when you're listening to a CD and you put the first one back on the case before listening to the next album, I need to put the arrow away before fighting you."

"Broken sign posts, blood leading to the house, an injured kid unconscious after flying 20 meters into the air... Either there was a special ingredient on my morning coffee or this is the work of an enemy Stand." Avdol ganders at the battleground, reluctant to go in by himself before hearing the heated discussion.
"Let go of Koichi!" Josuke steps into the hallway.
"Oh, coming into my house?"
"I can't kick your ass and heal Koichi without getting closer!"
"Get out of the way, pal! there's something aiming at you from the ceiling!" Avdol is fast enough to enter the room and pull Josuke out of the line of fire with Magician's Red, but ultimately being caught in the crossfire.
Avdol's torso, face and arms are bombarded by small pellets, turning his upper body into a human sieve as the poor Egyptian men fell on the ground, not even knowing what hit him.
"What? Who was that guy?" Josuke barely noticed the brave fortune teller saving him. "He noticed something above me..."
"I don't remember this man with an arrow. Did you call him for backup, Josuke?" Keicho smirks, not caring in the slightest as long as it meant having one less enemy to worry about.
"It's no use, Bad Company will kill you all!" His hidden stand readies another attack as the sound of reloading guns are heard all around the house.

"DORARARARARARARA!" Before the bullets even had a chance to graze Josuke's face, he destroyed part of the wall in order to create a makeshift barrier around him and Avdol, restoring his cover point with every barrage of shots.
"You can't keep shooting me forever, you'll have to reload again eventually!" Josuke got cocky as he pushed the shield further to close the gap between him and Keicho, getting Koichi in range to heal Koichi.
"Huh? Where am I? Is that Josuke behind a pile of rubble?" Koichi woke up to see onslaught on his friend. "And why is a pink spirit hovering over Josuke!?"
"Crazy Diamond's healing made you able to see Stands?" Keicho pulled the tiny teenager by the hair as a rocket flew on Josuke's wall, effectively blowing his shield to smithereens.
"He has rocket launchers too? How can a powerful Stand like that be perfectly hidden in the shadows?"

"So what if you healed Koichi, Josuke? I can still finish him off if he's still inside this house. I know you're not the type to abandon an innocent bystander, so you better hurry up before Koichi here prepares his early funeral!" Keicho drags Koichi up the stairs.
"WAAAH, JOSUKE! HELP!" Koichi screamed his lungs out for his companion to save him, but as if a small mine was under Josuke's feet, an trap set by Keicho's Bad Company broke Josuke's leg as the shockwaves bent his knee upwards, preventing the teenager to rescue Koichi.
"AAGH! Great... I really can't do this by myself... I better heal that other guy before he gets worse." Josuke crawls back to Avdol, who sprung back into the fight as if he never took a hit.
"Oh, a healing stand! I'm lucky to always have one of those around..." Avdol cleaned the dust off his robes, feeling in peak condition. "Thanks, but who are you? I heard a commotion nearby and thought I could help a fellow Stand user out. Can you tell me what happened?"

"I'm Josuke, the other dude screaming was my friend Koichi. Keicho and his brother are trying to give Koichi a Stand or something." Josuke briefly introduces himself.
"Mohammed Avdol. I got lost trying to find Morioh Grand Hotel. Can you walk, Josuke?" The Egyptian man escorted Josuke out of Keicho's house.
"My stand ironically enough can't heal my own wounds, so any help is welcome. You wouldn't happen to be after Jotaro Kujo, would you?"
"How did you know that?"
"I saw your chicken stand for a split second, who else could you be visiting there other than my uncle?"
"You're Jotaro's uncle?"
"I'll give you a good explanation once we're in a proper occasion. Did you get to see Bad Company?" Josuke winces as Avdol placed him on the fence.
"Since Magician's Red can naturally light dark places with his fire, I think I saw small toys firing at me before I was out. My eyes were on you and Koichi so I apologize for not focusing on what was important to you."
"No worries. I wouldn't even be here if it wasn't for your save. I'm still not sure what Bad Company can do either, but I bet Okuyasu knows..."

"Hey, wake up." Josuke rustles the dumber brother awake with Crazy Diamond. "I need to know about your brother's Stand. I'll heal your wounds if you spill it out."
"Like hell I'm telling you, bastard." The stubborn Okuyasu refuses to oblige.
"Of course... I have no other choice then!" Josuke fakes a punching motion at Okuyasu's skull, but only heals him without thinking twice.
"Come on Avdol, let's get in there!" Josuke pleads.
"Are you sure? You can't even walk properly." Avdol prefers not to put him in danger.
"Who knows what Keicho might do if I don't? It's not like he won't go after me if I run away either." Josuke's determination towers over his pain and fear.
"Wait a minute! Why did you heal me? I'm your enemy Josuke!" The ignorant Okuyasu stops them from going back.
"Quiet, not now!" Josuke brushes him off.
"I'm serious! I'm not very smart so you need to tell me right now! I want to know a reason for you to heal me instead of killing me when I didn't even answer you!"
"There is no deep reason to not kill you. You don't have to die, the same thought process I used to save Avdol." Josuke's reply was simple and to the point, but enough to freeze Okuyasu in place so Avdol and him could proceed further into the fight.
