Nine years ago, the warrior race known as the Saiyans were annexed into Emperor Freeza's army. Since that day, the Saiyans have acted as the emperor's loyal soldiers, leading the charge onto hundreds of worlds and facing down all who oppose Lord Freeza's rule. As mighty conquerors, crushing all who have stood against them, the Saiyans have made quite a reputation for themselves. They are known across the universe as Freeza's most powerful and loyal subjects.

The larger than life tales of the Super Saiyans, especially, have spread to every corner of the civilized universe. Facing demons, wizards, assassins, armies, champions, and even surviving one on one with Lord Freeza himself. The mere mention of one of the Super Saiyans inspires awe, admiration, jealousy, or fear, depending on where you go and who you ask of course. This has led to the Covenant plotting to exterminate the entire Saiyan race, in just a year and a half's time. They are not yet aware you all know of this plan, as currently only you, Meloka, Freeza, Vegeta, Raven, Ubo, Leyas, and Sarada are aware of it. Your actions now could either save the Saiyans, or doom them all.

Welcome to Saiyan Conqueror Quest, currently Age 740. You the players control Karn, a Saiyan Berserker with a base powerlevel of 587,618, a general in Lord Freeza’s army, mate to Meloka, father to Chaya and Chilli and adoptive father of Broly, and an inspiration to the other Saiyans and the rest of the PTO forces alike. Your current teammates outside your ship’s regular crew are:

Meloka- Blaster, 413,724
Chaya- Child, 35,422
Chilli- Infant, 2,733
Broly- Child, 69,185
Leyas- Brawler, 172,004
Sarada- Brawler, 181,337

Last time on Saiyan Conqueror Quest:

Upon returning to New Salda after defeating Demongo the not-so Invincible, everyone was stunned to see what appeared to be a Covenant warship in New Salda's airspace. You telepathically spoke with King Vegeta, who informed you that it was a Kig-Yar trading vessel, then had Raven create a portal directly into the room King Vegeta was discussing trade matters with their leaders. Once the Kig-Yar and King Vegeta left, you'd discovered a Yautja hunter had been spying on your king. But you let him live, the spy trading his life for his knowledge of an imminent secret Covenant attack on New Salda. He telepathically informed you, Freeza, and Vegeta that you have only around a year and a half before they come to destroy your people and world. After telling key allies about this, your ship received an ominous transmission from the Tamaranean princess Komand'r. After gathering your family, and bringing a now-dressed Sarada and Leyas, we rejoin Karn as he's arriving on his ship's bridge to speak with the ruler of the planet Azar.

"Greetings, Princess Komand'r." you say as you walk into where she can see you on the bridge, you bowing your head slightly in respect for her prowess as a warrior.
"Greetings, Super Saiyan. Super Saiyans." she says, her tone shifting to more neutral as Meloka walks up beside you in her field of view. "So you got my message. Good, this will save some time explaining. Our scouts report a massive Covenant fleet assembling, and we only have about four months until they arrive."
"What does this have to do with us?" Meloka asks coldly. You raise a brow, but say nothing, remembering what had happened between the two of them.
"If my scouts are right, this fleet could destroy my people, destroy those ignorant Ctarl-Ctarl you've allied yourself with, and still have plenty of soldiers left over to destroy you all as well." she says matter-of-factly. "I'm not here to waste your time, we need your help. I propose a temporary ceasefire and truce between our people, until the Covenant are stopped. What do you say, Karn?"

Well?

This.

Being abducted by a space wizard hand and getting forced to fight through a gauntlet of other fighters-turned-trophies when? It'd be a great way to meet certain characters for the first time. Especially samus.

That's fine, because Karn would presumably be under the trophy magic too, until he beats the hand for his freedom. And the trophy magic seems to make you pseudoimmortal - you just turn into a trophy when you die, until someone touches you IIRC. I don't fully remember how it worked in subspace emissary though, i could be wrong on the exact details for that.

"Just a moment." you tell her, walking out of the screen's viewing area. This is a huge decision, and one that you don't think you have the authority to make it on your own. You need to contact a few others for this. So you link minds with Meloka, and for the second time today, you think to Lord Freeza and King Vegeta.

"Lord Freeza, King Vegeta, can you hear me?" you ask telepathically. "Got something here, need both of you on this."
"Yes, of course. What's going on?" Vegeta replies immediately, you can tell he's clearly concerned. However...
"Karn, what is it?" Freeza asks, somewhat irritated. "I am rather busy planning for a war here after all."
"I apologize, but this is urgent." you reply. "I have the Tamaranean princess on the line, she says that within the next four months that Covenant fleet will attack her people. She's requesting a temporary alliance to combat the Covenant. What do you think, should we go for it?"
"Why should we help them?" Vegeta asks. "Their fight isn't ours."
"Hold on." Freeza says, thoughtful. "You'd said this 'Komand'r' was powerful, yes?"
"She and I were equal when I'd faced her last as a Super Saiyan." you reply. "Their people's powerlevels average in the low millions as well."
"Interesting." Freeza says, then goes quiet. After a minute or so he speaks up again. "Very well Karn, you may accept this deal on my behalf. But you are not allowed to die for them; if the tides of battle turn against you, you are to return to New Salda immediately. And bring the remaining Tamaraneans back with you to fortify New Salda. Understood?"
"Ah, I see." Vegeta says. "Aid them, give them a place to retreat to, and have them aid in our own defenses. Very clever, Lord Freeza."

"Thank you." you reply to them both, cutting the communication then walking back to where Komand'r can see you. "Very well, Princess Komand'r. I have spoken with Lord Freeza, we accept your terms. We shall have a truce between our peoples, until the Covenant are defeated."
"Excellent. With our mights combined, we shall halt and defeat the Covenant. I shall see you in four months, Saiyans." she replies, then cuts the communication.
"General Karn, coordinates set." your pilot replies. "If we leave tomorrow, we can just make it to Planet Azar in time. Shall we begin preparations for the launch?"

Well?

"There's no need." you tell the pilot, him looking to you questioningly. "We won't be travelling there by ship."
"But, how will you get there?" he asks, as Raven floats through the wall, dark aura flared around her. You still can't sense this dark aura enveloping her, but you feel the seal on the back of your right hand twitch in response, reacting to her power.
"Karn. We need to talk." she says, eyes aglow with her power.
"Raven? What's wrong?" Meloka asks, the witch ignoring Meloka, focused solely on you.
"Alright, sure." you answer her, looking curiously at the young witch. "What do you need?"
"Not here." she says, opening another portal and walking through. You look curiously between it and Meloka a moment, then shrug and follow her through. Once you pass through the portal shuts behind you, but you're too busy looking around to notice. It looks like the void of space, but different. Red lights float throughout the sky, you find yourself standing on what appears to be an asteroid floating in the void. As you look around you see more and more of the floating platforms, but nothing else stands out except for Raven standing there before you, cloak covering her completely.

"You're in my mind." she says evenly, before you can ask. "Its a trick I picked up from my mother. It allows me to meditate in peace, and battle my inner demons much more effectively."
"Impressive." you say, walking up to her. "So why are we here?"
"You were going take me back home, weren't you!" she says, angrily, dark aura flaring around her again. You're caught completely off-guard, unsure what she's so angry. But you soon find out. "You want me to help those bastards that kept me locked up all those years! Why? Why would you ever help them?"
"Raven..." you say, but she interrupts you
"Answer me Karn!" she shouts, eyes glowing red. "Why should I ever help them?!"

Well?

"You're not helping them, you're helping me." you say, Raven's anger disappearing at your sudden tone shift. "You're helping me keep my family alive."
"But-" she starts, you interrupting her and keep going.
"My family, my home, everything I've fought for is at risk." you say, the anger and fear coming out in your voice. "I need their strength, and the strength of everyone willing to help me. I can't do this by myself Raven. We can't stop them on our own, but we can use them to weaken the Covenant for us. I know you don't want to go back, that you never want to see them again. I won't make you go back, I just need your help getting me there. I can't afford to take the ship there, that's eight months of training and preparing the other Saiyans I can't afford to lose. We need your help, Raven. Will you help us?"

She says nothing for several seconds, dark aura flared and eyes glowing an angry red. She then blinks, eyes returning to normal as her aura slowly dwindles and fades from around her. She then hangs her head, sighing out once then looks up to you.

"I'll help."

That settled, she quickly reopened the portal back to the real world. As you're about to leave, your instincts suddenly scream out at you that you're in immense danger. You try to turn away from the portal, to face whatever's coming, but you're unable to.

"RUN!!" Raven shouts, pushing you through the portal with her power. You land back on the ship in a sprawl, rolling over to look at the portal. You see something approaching Raven, something large and red. You feel an impact as something hits her, knocking her through her portal and back out into the real world. You see a face through the portal for just a moment, then Raven seals it shut. She collapses back onto you, panting in exhaustion, you noticing an odd symbol glowing on her forehead for just a moment before fading.
"Karn, Raven, what was that?" Meloka asks, holding a hand down.
"One of my demons." Raven says as Meloka's pulling her back to her feet, you rising on your own. The witch then floats through the wall, you all looking curiously after her as she departs. With that done, you and Meloka, with Leyas, Sarada, and the kids too, go get a meal in your ship's mess, then turn in for the day.

You sleep deep and restfully, waking up fully rested and ready to face the monumental task before you. As you wake up you feel Meloka's bare back pressed to your chest, your arms wrapped around her. Opening your eyes, you see that she's still asleep, face smiling softly in contentment. Must be a good dream. Looking over, you see the kids all still asleep as well, Chaya's head on Broly's chest, Chilli clinging to her side. You smile at their happy faces a moment, deciding what to do.

Gravity Toilets when?
>>
>>2576989
you're right, we should be training while we're sleeping.
just like with master the super saiyan, we should be trying to get so used to SSJ2 that we can sleep in the form.

GD said it'd take a long time, and now we have a long-ass time.
Every moment we're not gravity training we should be in SSJ2.
Reduce the power to the very minimum to stay in it for as long as possible without letting it fade.

Actually, we may need to start sparring outside of the gravity chamber, in which case we could do that in SSJ2.
The gravity chamber is too small to really work on agility, but with a whole planet to train on we could hold races, see who could do the most laps around the planet in a day, to increase our speed.
We could do that while ascended and keeping our power to the bare minimum to work on both at once.

I wonder if we could somehow hold meditative battles with meloka in our sleep, like gohan and krillen did on the way to namek?
Maybe the guardian or raven can help with that.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DRwaZBE1Uj8
>>
>>2577001
Should we bother? GD outright stated, more or less, that Super Saiyan Three is weaker, more time consuming to attain, and consumes power much faster then Super Saiyan Four, or Primal, or whatever it is we’re going to call it.
>>
>>2577019
Ascended is not three.
>>
>>2576915
>We have to fight Berzerk Karn in our subconscious to find peace
We're basically the Hulk at this point.
>>
>>2577030

kek, never thought of it that way.
>>
>>2577030
I dunno dude, the Hulk is way better dressed. Those shorts are on fleek.
>>
>>2577023
Well yeah, but we’d be doing the acclimation training as a means of attaining a higher level, right? Which would be three. I can maybe see doing it a bit so that we can maintain it during longer conflicts, but going all out on training it seems unnecessary, and might exhaust us. We might just not have the energy capacity to manage it, at this point. We’re weaker then Goku when he first obtained normal Super Saiyan, let alone Ascended.
>>
>>2577101
No, we'd be doing acclimation training as a means of reducing the strain of ascending, and increasing our stamina.
You're literally making the same mistake vegeta scolded trunks for.
>>
>>2577101
Acclimation training means we can transform into it easier and don't have to use as much energy maintaining it, which also lets us do fun shit like form flickering.
>>
>>2577106
>>2577113
So basically get to a point we can walk around in Super Saiyan for a bit without actually getting hurt by it, and that way the other forms don't drain us as fast.
Right?
>>
>>2577114
Get to a point where we can maintain it like it was our natural state, like we did with SSJ. Where we can sleep in it, eat in it, wander around in it.
>>
>>2577114
We can already walk around in super saiyan forever with no drain on our ki whatsoever.
Super saiyan 2 still causes strain on our body and drains our ki when we use it. It also still takes a bit of effort and wasted energy to transform up into at all.

GD once likened it to forcing too much water through too small of a pipe, and i liken acclimation training to stretching your asshole out in order to accept a fatter dildo.
>>
>>2577126
Well yeah, I wasn’t saying we shouldn’t do any acclimation training, but doing it constantly might be ill advised. I imagine even when we tamp it down it’ll exhaust us fairly quickly, and we have a bunch of other stuff we need to do besides, which being constantly exhausted and passing out wouldn’t expedite. Maybe lay some actual time to do it aside, like at the start or near the end of everything, so it doesn’t interfere with everything else.
>>
>>2577164
I don't think it works if we aren't doing it constantly. Like in canon, Goku and Gohan had to be in the SSJ form 24/7 to acclimate to it.
>>
>>2577164
Just using up energy isn't a big issue, that alone can be replenished with a lot of food.
It won't truly exhaust our body, it'll just burn up a lot of ki.

That said, i think going forward, we should begin training under the premise that it's okay to break our body, as long as it doesn't kill us.
If our muscles are torn apart, if our blood vessels burst, if our skin is burned off or if our bones break, it can be healed. None of that matters as long as we're still alive. It's okay to break ourselves in order to become stronger.
Over, and over, and over again.

It doesn't matter how far we overextend ourselves, if we can go to sleep every night in a healing pod and wake up to do it again tomorrow.

You both share a long kiss, her then rolling up and over you and off the bed, landing gently on her feet. Seems you're not the only one who's ready to get to work. You then follow her up, you both going over and waking the kids up. They're all ready to go, everyone getting up and dressed quickly. You're all ready to go in a few mintues, swinging by Silver and the Mess Hall to get a hearty breakfast before heading out. After another excellent meal, the five of you walk outside the ship, stretching in the sunlight.
"We trainin' today Daddy?" Chaya asks, practically bouncing up and down in excitement. "Huh? Are we, are we?"
"Training time, it is." the Guardian says, hobbling over. "Good morning, everyone. Rest well, you have?"
"Yeah, we're ready." you say, popping your neck and knuckles. "Don't have time not to be."
"Short, time always is." the Guardian says to you, then turns his attention to the kids. "With me, your training begins. Ready, are you?"

"Yuss!!" Chaya shouts, then freezing a moment. She then turns to you and Meloka, flying up to you. You catch her and pull her close, your daughter hugging you. "Luuuv you Daddy!"
"You too kiddo." you say, Chaya leaping from you to Meloka and whispering to her, then running along after the Guardian, somehow already back over to his usual spot on that rock. You'll have to ask him about that sometime.
"Be good, you two." you tell Broly and Chilli, ruffling each of their hair. They then run off after Chaya, your three children all lining up before the ancient Guardian. You and Meloka watch a moment, the Guardian talking with them.
"They're in good hands." Meloka says, then turns to you. "What about you? Any special training in mind, or are you ready to get back in the Gravity Chamber?"

Su Ma with energy blades is by far our deadliest fighting style, and now with the super energy blade, it's that much more dangerous. It's time to learn how to truly fight like a jedi.

"Let's do it." you say, you and Meloka diving headfirst back into your intense Gravity Chamber training. You both get back to the 50x New Salda gravity you'd finally reached on the trip here, still as intensive as ever. For the next five hours you both have your noses to the grindstone, pushing yourselves to the breaking point. But unlike before, when you ended your gravity training and would have been done for the day, you push yourself further and exhaustedly transform into your Ascended Super Saiyan form.

"K-Karn?" Meloka'd asked you concerned, transforming into a Super Saiyan as well. "What's wrong?"
"Huh? Oh, nothing's wrong." you'd said. "I'm just working on mastering this form as well."

That's what you'd said, but with your body already exhausted as it was, mastering your Ascended form was easier said than done. You'd only made it for an hour before dropping the form, unable to maintain it longer. The next day is much the same, as is the next and the next. The first month goes by without much progress, your body too exhausted after your training in 50x New Salda's gravity to maintain it for long. But as you spend more and more time in the intense gravity, body acclimating more and more to the intense pressure, you have an easier time maintaining the advanced Super Saiyan form. As the months progress, you can feel both your power rising, and the drain from the Ascended Super Saiyan form feeling less and less noticable.

Each progresses much like the last, the days blending together. Until the fateful day finally arrives. Your sleep that night was restless, visions of invading Covenant ships filling your dreams. You'd awoken with a start in a cold sweat, aura flared around you slightly. After a moment you catch your breath, relaxing and sighing out. Sneaking from your room, to avoid waking Meloka and the kids you go to wash the sweat off, only to see something unexpected: you'd managed to either maintain your Ascended Super Saiyan form throughout the night, or you had somehow activated it while you were suffering your nightmares. Either way, your progress towards mastering this form is very welcome, considering what's coming. Speaking of, you transform back down to base and go back to your room, getting back in bed and waking Meloka. She gets up groggily, you both quietly getting dressed and walking from the room, leaving the kids to sleep in peace.

"So do you think we're ready?" she asks you, you both sitting down to eat. Silver sends Jim out with platters for you both, you both digging in and continuing the conversation telepathically. "We've been training hard, but will it be enough to help them?"
"We'll see today, won't we" you think back to her, digging into your breakfast. You both eat in relative silence, the only sounds are of the two of you enjoying your food. You quickly finish eating, not wanting to be slow and sluggish when you get to Azar.
"So, who should we bring along?" Meloka asks you, the two of you leaving the ship's mess.
"We?" you ask her confused. "Who said you're going?"
"What? Oh hell no, you're not leaving me back here while yo-!!" Meloka shouts angrily, turning to see the smile on your face and realizes you were just messing with her. Her eyes narrow at you, you chuckling. She pouts a moment then relents, laughing with you as well. But she brings up a good point, who should come along on this mission?

"I say we bring just the two of us, Leyas, Sarada, Tunnip, and Nappa." you tell her, Meloka looking to you confused. "Best to not fully tip our hand to what we all can do yet, plus everyone we bring needs to be able to telepathically talk to Raven as well."
"Sounds good." Meloka says, rolling her right shoulder a few times. "I guess I'll go get Tunnip and Nappa, you got Leyas and Sarada?"
"Yeah, I'll get them." you say, the two of you walking out of the ship then splitting up, going after your allies. You fly back to the siblings' house, a short flight from the Guardian's Island. You enjoy the flight, watching the sea then cityscape pass by below, you dropping down to their house and knocking. And knocking, and knocking, and knocking.
"I'm coming, dammit I'm coming!!" Sarada shouts from inside, the door suddenly opening to show you a disheveled-looking Sarada. "Karn? What's going on?"
"You and Leyas ready to come kill some Covenant bastards with me?" you ask her, the door slamming in your face. You hear the sounds of frantic activity and her shouting at Leyas inside, and in two minutes the doors open again. Leyas and Sarada are both in. "Alright, let's go!"

After the short flight back, the three of you greet Meloka, Nappa, Tunnip, Raven, and the Guardian all assembled on the bridge of your ship.

"Ready, you are?" he asks, you simply nodding to the ancient alien in reply. "Luck, I wish you."
"Karn where the hell are you?!" Komand'r suddenly shouts, her face again appearing through the communications screen. "They're already here and you're nowhere to be seen! You'd better not be pulling a fast one on me, or so help me-"
"Alright, its show time people." you say, nodding to Raven. She nods back, opening a portal before the six of you. "Let's go."

With that you step forward, a single step crossing the distance between worlds. You step out into the prison below the palace, your team emerging just behind you. You all dash forward, you and Meloka on point. You quickly make your way outside, just in time to see it: the Covenant are indeed here.

"Shit, it seems we're late to the party." Leyas says, flaring his aura. "Better late than never."
"Komand'r, we're here." you think to the Tamaranean princess, watching the battle overhead unfold. Tamaranean fighters clash with Covenant ships, the skies of Planet Azar full of Tamaraneans, Covenant ships, and explosions. "And it seems we're just in time, too."
"Wait, you're here?" she asks, confused. "Since when can you... It was that damn witch, wasn't it."
"Her name is Raven." you reply. "And she's one of mine, so treat her as such. Anyways, what's your plan of defense?"
"Plan?" she asks you, confused. "The enemy's right there, its time to get up there and kill them all! Don't let the bastards touch one foot on this planet!"
"Alright, got it." you think to her, ending the telepathic communication then addressing everyone. "Seems their game plan is to avoid letting the Covenant land ground troops, keeping the fighting up in the air where the Tamaraneans have greater advantage."
"So what's our plan?" Meloka asks, everyone looking to you questioningly.

"Let's split up." you say, one of the large Covenant ships exploding overhead. "Leyas, Sarada, you're both with me. Nappa and Tunnip, you're with Meloka. Let's cause some damage."
"Now we're talking!" Leyas says, flaring his aura up bright around his fists. "Let's do this!"

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4QK3IBW3e9c

Your two groups split off from each other, your group headed straight up towards the nearest incoming Covenant cruiser. The ship's already on fire, the work of the Tamaraneans no doubt. But its still flying and not simply dropping to the ground. TIme to fix that. The three of you fly skyward towards the ship, a wing of their attack ships noticing you three. They change course, dropping down towards you all and firing their laser weapons in a volley at you all. You quickly gather your energy into your right palm as the three of you weave through their blasts, your attack ready.

"Get out of my way!" you shout, tossing a Scattershot at the approaching ships. They try and evade the blasts, but your shot expanded just far enough, catching the half-dozen ships in their spread and annhilating them.
"Wahoo!" Sarada shouts, spinning midair as she flies through the smoke, then firing her Energy Waves from her hands and shooting down other Covenant attack ships. "C'mon you bastards, come get some!!"
"Rrrrrraaaaa!!" Leyas roars, punching straight through another attacking ship. The three of you force your way through the battlefield, smashing the smaller single-pilot attack ships as you fight your way to the larger ship. You easily force your way through, weaving through the chaotic blaster fire and closing in on the massive Covenant ship. As you close in, you notice a glow coming from the underside of the ship. That can't be good.

"Brace yourselves!" you manage to shout out, throwing your Barrier out around the three of you. The red glow from the ship intensifies, then with an awful sound a massive red laser fires down at you three. The impact is massive, slamming hard into your shield. You struggle to keep your Barrier up, the beam slowly pushing it and the three of you down towards the planet's surface. Your vision outside your Barrier is consumed by the red light, you straining to hold onto this shield. After a few seconds of tanking the blast, the beam slams the shield down into the planet's surface. Your barrier begins to crack from the pressure then completely shatters, the power from the Covenant laser cannon obliterating your shield and blasting the three of you. You all scream out in pain for a moment, then the beam attack stops. You're left panting in the crater, arms crossed in front of your face.

"You guys alright?" you ask, rolling over onto your stomach and pushing yourself upright.
"Dammit, that stings." Leyas says, pushing himself up into a sitting position. "What the hell was that?"
"Fuck that ship, we're trashing that fucker now." Sarada says, flipping up to her feet and throwing her arms wide. "C'mon asshole, I'm still here!"
"They can't hear you." you say, popping your neck. "But I agree, let's destroy this thing."

"THE HERETICS SHALL BURN FOR THEIR SINS!" a familiar, booming voice calls out from all the still-flying Covenant ships overhead.
"Oh great, and now we have to listen to this." Sarada says, flaring her aura up. "Can we shut him up already?"
"Sure, we just have to blast every single one of those Covenant ships." you reply, the three of your auras all lighting up together.

"RAAAAAAAAAAA!" you shout, transforming into a Super Saiyan.
"Well, here he goes." Sarada says, crossing her arms. "I guess we'll get to sit back and wat-"
"Hey, no slacking today." you say, throwing your arms wide. "C'mon, we'll take this one down together."
"Now you're talking!" Leyas shouts, pulling his right arm back and gathering his power into his palm.
"Alright, let's do this!" Sarada shouts, arms above her head and gathering her strength as well.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1daGIebkZRc

You feel your ki skyrocketing as you pump more and more power into your palms, lightning blasting out from around you and carving up the ground. The ground beneath your feet trembles, the planet shaking from your combined power as you all prepare your attacks.

"FINAAAAAL!!" you shout, slamming your palms together. The ki you'd gathered into your hands mixes and expands, exponentially increasing the power of your attack. Looking to the side, you see Leyas's aura flaring wildly around his clenched right fist. You look over to Sarada, seeing her power rising as well, ball of ki held aloft. You look up to the ship, seeing that red glow starting up again. Its now or never, you need to fire now!
"HAAAAAAAAAAAA!!" Leyas shouts, firing his Full-Power Energy Wave up at the ship.
"BUSTER CANNON!!" Sarada roars, firing her beam alongside Leyas'.
"FLAAAAAAAAAAASH!!!!" you roar, your destructive beam firing with your other Saiyans' attacks. The three massive beams soar skyward, twisting together into a column of death and slamming into the Covenant ship's red laser and easily pushing it back. Your attacks smash into and through the Covenant warship, passing through it easily and causing the ship to explode. But your attacks don't simply stop, the beams continue traveling up through the sky. Higher and higher your combined attack travels, smashing through four Covenant warships before a fifth's shield manages to stop it. The destroyed vessels all explode, lighting up the sky and raining metal down on the surface of the planet all around you.

"Wooooo! Now THAT'S more like it!!" Sarada shouts, pumping her fist. You sigh out then take a deep breath, focusing on the other ships up ahead. Your attack certainly got the Covenant fleet's attention, three seemingly-undamaged warships all turning towards the three of you as well as several wings of their small attack craft.
"Looks like they've noticed us." you say, flaring your aura out around you again.

"Leyas, Sarada, cover me for a few seconds?" you ask, gathering your power. "I've got a present for them!"
"On it." Leyas says, leaping up over you. The incoming fighters fire their cannons at you, Leyas swatting aside their blasts. But there's too many, your large friend taking several hits. You hear him grunt in pain, but before he can falter Sarada leaps up beside him, swatting attacks aside as well. You quickly gather your power into your palms, feeling your energy overflowing as your friends protect you from the Covenant attack ships' onslaught.

"I'm ready!" you shout, Leyas leaping aside. With your power gathered you take a half-step forward, and begin tossing blast after blast into the air. Your mines fill the air, Covenant ships closing the distance. Many are unable to divert their paths, running headlong into your attacks and getting consumed by the blasts. Many more manage to avoid the sudden minefield appearing in midair, changing course and staying away from your defensive shield. They all loop back towards your field, firing at you three through the Hellzone Grenade field. Their attacks detonate several dozen more of the blasts, yet none of their attacks reach you all. The attacking ships loop away, turning back for another pass.

"Hellzone Grenade!!" you shout, your blasts shooting out and away from you in every direction. The blasts spread out and detonate several of the Covenant attack ships, but many more escape the destruction. Your blasts travel out, slamming into and detonating against the Covenant ships shields, but such individually weak attacks were unable to pierce through. You did make progress, destroying over half of the smaller ships nearby, but there's plenty still left. The three larger ships have come closer as well, but haven't yet begun charging their massive attacks yet.

What now?

"I have an idea." you say as you remember another weakness the Covenant ships have. A weakness discovered early on in the first campaign against the Covenant. "You two handle that warship there, these two are mine."
"Two?" Sarada asks. "Are you su-?"
"C'mon, he's got this." Leyas says, nodding to you. "We'll handle this one, no problem. Take them down."

With that the three of you split, Leyas and Sarada charging the furthest one while you rush towards the two nearer ones. Weaving through the small attacking ships is easy, you occasionally swatting aside one of their shots that gets too close. You feel the rush of the wind on your face, the burning smells of battle all around as you swat down any ships that get too close during your charge. You twist and spin through the attacking ships, and burning, falling debris as the Tamaraneans manage to destroy another Covenant warship further up in the sky. And just like that, you've arrived at your first of the two designated victims.

"HAAAAA!" you shout, slamming your fists into the armor plating of the ship's nose, digging your hands in and getting a really solid grip. Your aura flares out around you as you strain, twisting midair and dragging the massive Covenant vessel along with you. You'd planned to build enough momentum to slam the ship you're holding into the other, but before you can your instincts scream at you in warning. You're in danger, and need to move, now! Quickly gathering your ki into your hands you fire a Dual Energy Wave, allowing the blast to push you back and away from the ship. It wasn't a moment too soon, as something invisible slices through the armored hull right where your neck was. You focus on sensing other kis, feeling one closing in from the front immediately.

You try to dodge to the side, blade scoring a cut across your cheek and nicking your ear, throwing a splash of blood onto the invisible blade. You drift away from the invisible Sangheili, guard up. It turns visible, the sneak attack having failed, but suddenly your instincts again scream at you in warning. You twist and fire a Death Slash, the blade of ki connecting with something. The one you'd taken your eyes off of attacks the opening, thrusting square at your back. You twist aside to dodge the attack but are just a little too slow, the blade cutting into your armor and scoring a shallow cut to your ribs. You keep spinning and twist, kicking the creature in the back of the head and sending it crashing into its fellow. You drop into your stance facing them as you feel more presences close in around you, a half dozen still-invisible Sangheili as well as the two before you now surround you.

What now?
>Rush and attack the two visible ones
>Wait and defend, you're surrounded on all sides
>Evade and counter, try and get out

As surrounded as you are, there's only one solution for this. But you don't want to give it away that you know the other six are there yet, so you stare down the two visible ones.

"C'mon, they only sent two of you to fight me?" you ask with faux-outrage in your voice, trying to bait the other six into closing in. "Don't you know who I am?"
"We know who you are." one says, drawing one of their odd pistols in its left hand, the weapon starting to glow green as you cross your arms before you and gather your power. "You're that demon of a Super Saiyan who's killed so many of us already. Killing you will be a great honor, I'll be a legend."
"Too bad none of you will never get the chance." you say with a smirk, tightening your muscles as your power builds to the critical point. "RRAAAAAAAAAA!!"

Your power explodes out from you in every direction, obliterating the eight Sangheili instantly and blowing them away. Your energy pours off of you for a moment longer before you stop, sighing out as the attack ends. You take a moment to keep your senses up, but can't sense any other creatures close enough to worry about. With those nuisances taken care of you turn your attention back to the Covenant ships, again driving your hands into the ship's nose and grabbing on. With no one interfering this time, you put your back into it and spin, lifting and slamming the Covenant ships together in a giant, mangled 'X'. The two ships' armor plating crumple from the blow, both ships exploding at the impact site. You release the now-destroyed ships, the two mangled starships crashing towards Planet Azar far below. A cheer goes up from the Tamaraneans, your feat of strength clearly impressing them.

YOU HERETICS SHALL PAY FOR YOUR SINS!!" you hear the voice of roar out indignantly over the cheers of the Tamaraneans, yet not silencing them in the least. "THE ARBITER DRAWS NEAR, THE HOUR OF YOUR END IS AT HAND!!"

Also new armor after we get back to New Salda pls.

>>
>>2580854

Right now, as a Super Saiyan, Karn is at 31,763,350.
>How big is his?
When you first met him, you weren't sure who was stronger: him or Freeza.
>new armor
You'll get the chance, if you make it back to New Salda.

Maybe? You'd have to ask him yourself.
>>

>>
>>2580901
Well shit, looks like it's time hulk out on him then.

>>
>>2581045
Low rolls happen sometime.
>>2581072
That's entirely possible. You could potentially get him in a really, really bad position. You do have powerful allies.
>>
>>2581109
If worse comes to worse at least we give Frieza a Spiderman complex and a reason to train.
Although Meloka would probably get crushed.
>>
>>2580812
>THE ARBITER DRAWS NEAR
Oh shit, isn't he like Freeza levels of stronk? Might need to go Berserk if we want to take him down. Or diplomance him, since he seems like decent bloke when he's not being led by religious nuts.
>>
>>2581260
Didn't we just have a lesson in canon about superior numbers coming in handy?
I say we bait him into a fight with the rest of our squad behind us.
Probably gonna have to not die for a little bit but I think we can manage.
>>
>>2581183
That would certainly motivate Freeza to train. And yes, Meloka would be absolutely crushed. And so would Chaya, Broly, and King Vegeta, among others.
>>2581260
It is too late for the diplomatic route, at least for now. And even if you go Berserk, there's no guarantee you can win this.
>>2581267
That might go extremely poorly. For everyone.
>>
>>2581300
Would going SSJ 2 have Karn on an even playing field?
>>
>>2581315
>even if you go Berserk, there's no guarantee you can win this.
>When you first met him, you weren't sure who was stronger: him or Freeza.
Listen to your QM mang
>>
>>2581315
Not even close. You just simply don't currently have the power to match up to him. You can get power, a whole lot of it, but that loss of sanity and control may be lethal against such an experienced opponent.
>>2581323
If anons want to fight the Arbiter, they can. But they better be ready for the consequences of punching well outside of their weight class. It isn't impossible to beat him right here, but there would most likely be casualties.
>>
>>2581300
>That might go extremely poorly. For everyone
You could say that about the entirety of this mission or just about any other battle we've been a part of.
Besides, it's probably the best shot we got outside of calling in Frieza for a tag team. But it's not like he'd get to us in time anyways.
>>
>>2581439
We could just damage his capital ship and make a run for it if we're totally fucked anyhow
>>
>>2581439
I say we just Ascend, and try and completely obliterate the ship he's on while it's still in orbit. It probably won't do him in, but it should inflict some decent damage, and we can just dogpile him once his shop crashes.
>>
>>2581467
Ship*
>>
>>2581467
Unfortunately of everyone that came along only Meloka would be remotely useful in that fight. And even then she'd get her shit pushed in pretty easily by goldie armor Mc mandibleface
>>
>>2581489
Well, the Tamaraneans are all in the low millions, right? If we grabbed Meloka, Blackfire, and like a couple hundred Tamaraneans we could probably just zerg rush him.
>>
>>2581545
Battle of Gods has proven that it doesn't matter how fuckin' how your power level is, a well placed laser beam to the heart can fuck ya' up all the same.
>>
What if we just fucking fly out and explode the arbiter's ship while it's enroute?
Suffocate that asshole in space. His species can't survive that.
>>
>>2581610
He'll probably escape on a drop ship or his suit will protect him or some shit like that.
>>
>>2581724
>Suit
Wouldn't count on it. The arbiter's suit is a massive piece of shit compared to updated elite armor. Intentionally. They make it shitty to fit with traditions, and to purposefully make it harder on the Arbiter.
>Drop ship
Unreliable if we're blowing the whole fucking ship up. Even if it does get out, we can just blow up the drop ship next.
>>
>>2581733
I feel like he'd just shake the attack off, anyways. I wasn't sure if they could fly earlier, but those guys we just offed earlier could, so I'd assume he can as well. I mean, he'd take some damage, certainly, but probably not enough to severely injure or kill him.
>>
>>2581795
It's not about the attack itself. It's suffocating him in space before he can even arrive.
>>
>>2581842
Yeah, but if we flew all the way out to where he is, we'd be in about the same boat, I'd assume. We can't breathe in space either. Plus even if he could only hold his breath for a couple of minutes I'd assume that he could fly the rest of the way, if he had to. If he's as strong as Freeza he's probably similarly fast.
>>
>>2582059
Not with the right tools.
I mean, we do have a space witch on our team. We could hit them and be out of danger pretty damn quickly.
Not to mention the fact that Tamaraenians can fare just fine in the void of space. Just ask them to do it, and I'm sure they'd do it. It's just a tactically sound move.
Think this shit through more, mang.

Guys, guys guys, while i was going to sleep it came to me as my mind slipped into unconsciousness, snapping me awake once more.

Planet-wide tournament.
Every living saiyan fights in a tournament, with the last five getting to fight 5v2 vs. karn and meloka.
Then, as the winners, they get to train alongside the legendary super saiyans.

Also, every single fight doesn't end until one or both of the competitors has been beaten half to death.
And participation is mandatory, not that you'd have to make them.
Race-wide zenkai boosts, and we filter out the best fighters on the planet, which we can then make use of.
>>
>>2584242
I can already tell you the top 5 non-Super Saiyans
>Nappa
>Tunnip
>Sarada
>Leyas
>Galick
I could be wrong however due to a lot of things.
Galick might choose to not enter the tournament as it would interfere with his duties, and Nappa would probably be needed to oversee the whole tournament.
They'd both probably be posted right next to Vegeta on his throne now that I think about it.
That means GD might have to write two new Saiyans for the climax of the New Sadala Grand Prix.
I mean that's assuming we even decide to do something like that.
>>
>>2584322

pretty dang geinuess.
>>
>>2584242
An interesting idea, though the likely top 5 Saiyans tend to train with us a fair bit anyways. Assuming Galick, Nappa, and Vegeta don’t participate because someone needs to organize things, and they might anyways, it’s probably going to look something like
>Bardock
>Turles
>Tunnip
>Sarada
>Leyas
Barring some sort of upset, which could possibly happen, I imagine that’d be the leaderboard. On the plus side, it’d be a pretty good fight. Two Super Saiyans and a few other fairly strong Saiyans versus the two of us.
>>
>>2584242
Might be a nice annual or semi annual event, actually,
>>
>>2584242
There may or may not be a special event coming up soon, the 10 year anniversary of joining the PTO is coming up soon after all.
>>2584322

>>
Y'know, if we let him compete, Broly could end up on the leaderboard. Even if he doesn't go Berserk, he can go Super Saiyan normally, which more or less by default makes him stronger then every other Saiyan who can't, even if he lack their combat experience.
>>
>>2585709
Reckon so.
>>2585734
Broly at Super Saiyan would be hard to stop for most Saiyans. At least, if they didn’t know or couldn’t guess his biggest weakness.

But isnt that a problem for every saiyan that isnt an elite too?
>>
>>2586320
It used to be a problem for many, many Saiyans. But most of the remaining combat-ready Saiyans have had their tails trained.
>>
>>2586366
>>2586320
I always kinda thought that was a power thing done by Vegeta. He was kinda terrified of any threats to his position, so he kept the tail weakness around, not having literally everyone train their tails, as a way to control the lower classes. Kinda a secret weapon of sorts.
>>
>>2586496
That was part of it. King Vegeta wanted to keep power, and not having a weakness everyone else had was a great one. Most of the universe doesn’t even know that was a weakness.
>>
>>2586534

Since we’re just two weekends away from the one year anniversary of this quest, I want to ask you guys some questions and see where your minds are at regarding everything. What’s been your favorite part(s) of the quest? Least favorite(inb4 Hive)? Best/worst characters? Things that have really stood out to you, and areas you think I can improve on? When that one anon said way back then that he wanted another 50 episodes minimum, I’d thought he was crazy. Yet here we are. Its been one hell of a wild ride so far, and I appreciate everyone who’s been with me so far. Even you too, postless lurkers.
>>
>>2588826
My favorite is fucking Freiza and our kid, He seemed into baby sitting soon.

Worse, is the lack of Extra scenses you say and we never get anymore.

Worse Character is Cooler for being a lazy cunt, Best is Yoda.
>>
>>2588916
Freeza’s great, and I really do enjoy writing Chaya.
>Worse, is the lack of Extra scenses you say and we never get anymore.
I really do apologize for that. I’m still upset about failing to write that Freeza one, its been bothering me.
>>
>>2588826
My favorite part of the story is the conversations between Karn and Frieza, theyre always fun to listen to.

My favorite character so far is King Cold due to his interesting backstory.

The most interesting part of the story for me is the worldbuilding you have for the DBZ univerese since its good mix of other settings.

My least favorite characters are the original saiyan team Karn had becuase they dont really do anything in the story.

And if I had to name a complaint it would be t s the use of d100s when it seems like it has no point being there, like when we had to roll where Karn wanted to seat in war table.

>My favorite part of the story is the conversations between Karn and Frieza, theyre always fun to listen to.
Freeza has been interesting. He has had actual development, instead of being just the sadistic, spoiled brat he originally was.

>My favorite character so far is King Cold due to his interesting backstory.
I always thought Toriyama wasted Cold as a character.

>The most interesting part of the story for me is the worldbuilding you have for the DBZ univerese since its good mix of other settings.
I’ve really enjoyed the worldbuilding process, glad you enjoyed it.
>My least favorite characters are the original saiyan team Karn had becuase they dont really do anything in the story.
And that right there is my greatest failure as a QM, in my opinion.
>And if I had to name a complaint it would be t s the use of d100s when it seems like it has no point being there, like when we had to roll where Karn wanted to seat in war table.
I’ll say this, almost every roll has been important for something, even if you couldn’t see why or how. Sometimes its something as simple as understanding something/someone, sometimes its perception, I’ve almost never called for an activly pointless roll. And credit to whoever made this, still makes me chuckle.

>When that one anon said way back then that he wanted another 50 episodes minimum,
I said 60.
sorry i'm not been able to post, work IRL is starting to get serious and haven't been able to post as much as i'd like.
>What’s been your favorite part(s) of the quest?
KARN USES HIS SPECIAL MOVE: NAKED ATTACK.
Also epilogues.
Least favorite(inb4 Hive)?
i like them tbqh, before we managed to completely ignore one of their main dangers (acid) they were pretty fun.
>Things that have really stood out to you, and areas you think I can improve on?
Nothing i can complain mate, you do good work and keep improving and IRL is something you can't control.
>Best/worst characters?
Freezy pop and the most epic broship in the universe.
and... i dunno maybe the Komand'r and her people, mostly because i have no idea what they are from or what's their thing.
>>
>>2589028

>>
>>2589271
My bad, 60. Either way it was farther than I’d ever imagined this would go. And I do enjoy showing the differences of peoples and cultures, especially when some have no shame. As for the Tamaraneans, they’re from DC. The basics are they’re lesser versions of Superman, no weakness to rocks/magic, and extreme sluts.
>>2589435
It made me chuckle.
>>
>>2589464
So Raven is the "I'm not like the other girls..." of Tamaraneans?
>>
>>2589497
Her people, the original people living on Azar were actually killed off by the Tamaraneans. She’s the only known survivor of the colonization.
>>
Monster King Orochi when?
>>
>>2590152
Don't you mean, next crater?
>>
>>2589502
Well, that’s unexpectedly dark. They just...exterminated them? Sheesh, looks like we’ve got even more in common with them then we thought!
>>
>>2590152
>can instantly learn any move used by his opponents
Well that’s dangerous.
>>2590161
Kek.
>>2590164
Yep. The Tamaraneans wanted that world for a colony, so they took it. But they left the name the same, in honor of the previous inhabitants’ fighting prowess. They also left Raven locked up down there in that prison cell afterwards. That young, lonely girl who had just felt every death from the battle above and been scarred was then left in that dark hole to die.
>>
>>2582956

She’s been through a lot. And Saiyans confuse her
>>
>>2590802
>If they can hit him.
Dude everyone knows invisible people are weak to AoEs
>>
>>2590802
Should probably keep quiet about the fact that we’ve basically done the same thing to other races a couple of times.
>>
>>2590811
Its not that, its the sheer difference in power. To quote Freeza, its like ants fighting a dinosaur.
>>2590828
No, she’s well aware of what Saiyans do, and what you in particular have done. Sleeping minds are easiest to read, after all. She can’t figure you out. You’ve killed tens if not hundreds of trillions and enjoyed most of it, yet went out of your way to save someone cast out by her own people. When she was so weak she couldn’t walk, you helped her instead of abandoning her. Instead of keeping her locked away you gave her freedom, and have rarely asked anything of her in return. You confuse her.
>>
>>2590873
>You confuse her.
>You see, a psychic can't figure out what i i'm gonna do if neither i know.
>>
>>2590873
A trillion is a statistic. One young girl is a person.
>>
>>2590886
Kek. But she doesn’t get you. On one hand you’re a monster with more blood on his hands than the Tamaraneans who wiped out her race, but on the other you saved her and never once tried to hurt her. Even when she thought you were just hurting her, you were helping her to walk again. She just doesn’t get you, she can’t reconcile the genocidal monster and the first person who was nice to her in years.
>>2590919
Very true. But you’ve slain the helpless before, she’s seen it through your eyes. She doesn’t understand why you saved her.
>>
>>2590954
>Very true. But you’ve slain the helpless before, she’s seen it through your eyes. She doesn’t understand why you saved her.

It's the schizophrenia, I hear. But don't take my word on it, listen to all these other satisfied disembodied voices!
>>
>>2590954
I imagine she’d have trouble finding a motive. It’s almost like completely different people control our thought processes every week, and have all for the most part seen a show that she was in that aired in a completely different universe. It’d confuse me to.
>>
>>2591024
Kek.
>>2591025
In-universe she doesn’t understand why you saved her. No one ever liked her before but her own mother. She was a cursed nobody, yet you came along and pulled her from her cell and now she has friends and people who will fight for and help her. She’s talked (a lot) with Ubo too, and realized her case with you wasn’t entirely unique.
>>
>>2590954
>>2591058

Because she was helpless, because she was useful, because she had done nothing to us, because we had no reason to kill her, because we liked her at first glance.

The reasons were purely selfish, but they were all we needed.
Her people hated and feared her because she had powers they could not fully understand. They were afraid of the unknown because they were weak, afraid that they would be hurt or killed by those powers.
Who lives and who dies is decided by the strong, and raven was given a chance to live, and to become strong.
When she herself is strong, it will be her choice who lives or dies. Who she saves, and who she damns.
She could become a paragon of righteousness, a pacifist, or she could end up committing genocide (probably more indirectly) right alongside karn.

Unlike karn who has allegiances to his emperor and his race, raven is mostly free, besides her ties to karn's group.
she could just fly away to some far corner of the galaxy and probably never see another war in her life if it was what she really wanted.
If it was what they both wanted, i'm sure karn would allow her and ubo to go together, even.
But if anything ever did happen, she'd live or die by ubo's strength alone.
>>
>>2591072
Are you sure you don't just want some size_difference for Raven and Ubo?
>>
>>2591058
It was our call what to do with her and we decided to give her a chance. If Frieza had ordered her wiped off the face of the Galaxy we'd have done it. As it stands, she got lucky and caught us at the right moment.
>>
>>2591105
We've already got that with karn and meloka.
>>
>>2591072
>>2591239
Valid points. She just doesn’t understand it yet. She can’t grasp how you can be so ruthless to slaughter entire planets, then be as gentle as you are with your family right after. She hasn’t learned pic related yet, she is still only a teenager.
>>2591674
True. As >>2576242 shows.
>>
>>2591693
i love it when meloka hangs off our shoulders, it's cute as fuck
>>
>>2591693
Also that screencap is me
>>
>>2591674
>above average to below average

>being the same as fuckin' huge and below average

Ubo is like, 8+ feet tall, right? And Karn is like 6' something? Even if Karn was eight feet Meloka would need to be legally a midget to be half his height. So I feel like that pic really isn't a good indicator of height. Karn would need to be pushing 9 1/2 feet for Meloka to not be a ridiculously tiny person by that pictures proportions.

He’s a big guy even for Bane.
>>
>>2592329
>He’s a big guy even for Bane.

You mean Karn? Because Bane is 6'8". Nappa is canonically 6'10". Were the character heights ever specified in quest? I can't remember. I also don't know why it is suddenly bothering me so much.

Jesus Toriyama is bad at drawing people to proportion when they have different heights. Nappa was like three times the size of Vegeta and Vegeta is 5'5". Vegeta's mouth is literally dick height for Nappa but Nappa is only a foot and a half taller. C'mon Tori.
>>
>>2592354
I meant Ubo. Karn’s around 6’1”. Meloka(If I recall right, dont have stats with me) is 4’11”.
>>
>>2592404
>tfw 1 inch off from being considered a midget in murica

No wonder she's so weak. She got dem lil' genes, Kernotaurus ova heia gots da bigguns. Guess if Toriboat was drawing the characters that would look in proportion. Shit dude. Thanks for the info.

I wonder if Karn would appreciate Meloka wearing tight jeans? Maybe he's more of a traditional saiyan bodyglove/tights kind of guy.
>>
>>2592476
I get that you're joking/trolling, but for the record, isn't Meloka the second strongest Saiyan alive by a wide margin?
>>
>>2592510
Bardock is almost as strong as Karn IIRC. But otherwise Meloka is 3rd strongest with the next closest being Vegeta and even then she's quite far ahead of him.
>>
>>2592354
He got better at drawing characters in proportion to each other as the series went on. Vegeta went from a troll doll to damn almost Goku's height if you looked at em from a distance.
>>2592404
Wow... that's quite the size discrepancy.
I hope Meloka doesn't get bothered by all of her children getting taller than her when they turn 12.

I think Vegeta's a tad stronger, but it's very close. Close enough that if they fought could probably go either way.
>>
>>2592841
Oh good, we did actually manage to pass him. I was worried you were keeping quiet about it and he was going to pop up out of nowhere with a 700k or 800k power level to bother me again.
>>
>>2592949
He and Turles spent the past 4 months working on mastering their Super Saiyan forms instead of taw power.
>>
>>2592934

>>
>>2593001

I'm eager to see just how powerful our Vegeta is gonna be when he hits 25.
I'm also eager to see Canon-Geta's reaction to that power-level.

To be fair, if he wasn't busy with ruling and whatnot, the Saiyans would have a lot more issues in the wake of the Gete Star Massacre

Freezy epilogue or more fun time with the Saiyan Kids?
I hope whatever Frieza is doing involves rallying as many troops and calling in as many favors as possible.
I wanna see Boris again, maybe train with him sometime and see how he's hanging.
I'm genuinely curious as to how Raditz is doing. He's probably not handling the almost immenent ass-whooping from Meloka very well.

I’ve seen. And so too have many others, both allies and (the few)surviving enemies. As for maiming, you’re in prime getting-sliced territory. Karn’s been fucked up by Energy Swords before. And that he does, Karn clearly doesn’t believe in half-measures.

Ha. It should have known better than to threaten Karn’s family. That is a sure-fire way to end up dead.
>>
>>2599171
I'm really, really interested in those few surviving enemies.
Like say, remember that team of covenant snipers that was going to surrender until some dumbass told them not to trust us?
Imagine the story that guy would tell if one of those snipers survived getting torn a new vagina.

Imagine the stories from people that karn was going to kill, but who *did* manage to just accept defeat and not get blasted into chunks by a ride on karn's fist.

Imagine these two groups getting together in an intergalactic therapy session for karn survivors and witnesses, and the stories they'd swap of what they saw that day.

Hey GD, query: 99% of stuff in DBZ take place in North Galaxy, right? Barring the movie stuff like New Vegetation (which I think is East galaxy) and the world of the Kai's and Beerus' world which I think are in Otherworld. What about this quest? Do we have any idea what's going down in the other galaxies?
>>
>>2604671
The Covenant and Tamaraneans are in the West, New Salda is right around the North/West boundary, and Cooler and his men are currently working on getting control of the South.
>>
>>2604692
How do the Kai's feel about the Cold clan taking over most of the known universe?
>>
>>2604696
The North Kai and his equals all feel about the same, Grand Kai is too chill to give a fuck, and Supreme Kai wants his empire’s vast reach(as well as the Covenant’s and others’ help) in tracking down both Babadi and Buu, and preventing that monster from ever being unleashed again.

Universe 7(and presumably its twin, Universe 6) are composed of 4 main galaxies, also known as quadrants: North, South, East and West, and each comes with its own Kai who oversees the Guardians.

Still working on that epilogue, have first two posts complete. It will maybe be 5-6 posts total, hope you’re ready for some more lore.

I'm ready for some SCQ.
Honestly, the past few weekends have been shit without it, especially since it happened to coincide with the other quests i follow also not running.

It's like being seven years old and finding out the saturday morning cartoons aren't running anymore.
>>
>>2608464
i may have dated myself a bit, i don't think saturday morning cartoons are really a thing anymore
>>
>>2608464
>It's like being seven years old and finding out the saturday morning cartoons aren't running anymore.
It feels the same on this end, trust me.
>>2608471
>spoiler
I don’t think so. Tom and Jerry is still the best morning cartoon ever.
>>
>>2608471
>Saturday Morning Cartoons
They're still a thing, but it's mostly just reruns of premiers earlier in the week.
I also know that CN uses the Saturday morning timeslot for new episodes of stuff like Pokemon.
>>
>>2608551
Ah, well, i meant on public access television.
I used to watch the various blocs when i was a kid, and there were different shows depending on the channel.
A lot of it was anime, though i didn't realize it at the time, it was all just cartoons back then.
Shit like sonic and ultimate muscle.

Though once they ran a cable line through our area in the 90s i was able to sneak in some late-night yu-yu hakusho and rurouni kenshin.
>>
>>2608458
Also yay.
It always nice to get the premium version of the scribbles in the margins of your notebook.
Have you gotten a new phone yet btw?
Also you should probably put your quest images on the cloud in case we get another SNAFU like last week.
>>
>>2608577
>Staying up late to watch Yu-Yu Hakusho
Maximum comfy
>>
>>2608587
Discovering that i'd been an anime fan all along after we got a 56k modem was interesting.
Figuring out which shows i used to watch as a kid from vague memories took a long time, but it turned out i had good taste.
>>
>>2608596
It's a shame that only one generation got to experience that level of comfiness.
>>
>>2608577
Those were the best nights as a kid.
>>2608578
Kek, glad you appreciate it. And yes I have, and already done. Don’t want another loss like before.
>>2608587
Agreed, good times.
>>
So this epiloge probably won’t be finished tonight, but it will be done tomorrow. Unfortunately. Plus side, I WILL finish this one, on the fifth post now.

-Saiyan Conqueror Quest 44 Epilogue-

AGE 740, NEW SALDA

“So today’s the day.” you mutter to yourself, floating down the massive hall of Karn’s ship alone. You are Raven, a powerful sorceress who not long ago found out you may actually be a half-demon. Its been two months since you dragged Karn into your own mind, the Saiyan convincing you to help him go fight with the Tamaraneans. You’d finally agreed, the two of you then fleeing before your demon could catch either of you. Afterward, however, the Guardian had approached you, having felt that demon’s presence himself. He had wanted to meet with that demon himself immediately, but he had to mentally prepare himself first. As you were reading this morning the Guardian had telepathically contacted you, saying he was ready. Which brings you to now, floating down the hall. But as you near the Mess Hall on your way outside, the door opens, Karn and Meloka with their kids walking out.

“Oh hey, mornin’ Raven.” Karn says, Chaya flying up to rest on his shoulder. “You’re up and about early, something going on?”
“The Guardian wanted to see me.” you say, dropping from the air and letting your feet touch the ground. “He sensed what happened the other day, and wants to confront it himself.”
“Well I’m sure if anyone, he can help you.” Meloka says, you looking down to the older woman as she puts her hands behind her head. “He knows a lot more about things than you’d think.”

That’s, oddly specific. You look questioningly at Meloka, the Saiyan meeting your gaze evenly. Karn looks between the two of you a moment confused, then focused on you.

“Well, good luck.” he says. “We’ll be here in the Gravity Chamber, if you need backup just open a portal in there.”
“I will.” you reply, Karn nodding once then turning his attention to his kids. You take the opportunity to move on, passing the five of them and quickly exiting the ship. You see the Guardian in his usual spot, sitting on that same rock. But he's not alone. Sitting beside him is another him, glowing a soft, gentle white.
"Ready, you are?" the two Guardians ask in sync, you taken aback.

"Wh-What?" you ask, dumbfounded. "You know that technique too?"
"Many arcane secrets, I know." the two Guardians say, the real one turning to the glowing one. "Safe, you must keep her."
"Protect her, I shall." the glowing clone says, then turns to you. "Ready to go, are you?"
"Y-Yeah, let's go." you say, opening the portal into your own mind and stepping through, the glowing Guardian following close behind you. As you cross over, the portal seals shut, you both leaving New Salda behind.

“Cold and dark, your mind is.” the Guardian says, looking around the void that is your mind. Asteroid-like platforms connected by narrow rocky paths, dead trees sporadically placed, and red rings glow sporadically in the ‘sky.’ “A sad life, you have lived.”
“N-Not all of it. Not since...” you say defensively, turning away as an embarrassed smile and blush creeps up on your face. Thankfully he says nothing, simply floating up and placing a hand on your shoulder. You’re both quiet, neither moving for several moments until a crash startles you both. The sound of a massive hoof crashing into stone rings out, you immediately gathering your magical power to do battle with your inner demon.
“Wait.” the Guardian says, moving between you and the noise. “Here to fight, we are not. Unless he strikes first, attack, we shall not.”

As the Guardian finishes talking, an odd-looking raven lands on the dead tree beside the two of you. It caws and blinks all four of its glowing red eyes at the Guardian, clearly unsure of what to make of him.

“Fetch your master. No time for you, I have.” the Guardian says to the demonic bird, it caw-ing indignantly then flying off. He’s much less unsettled that you were the first time you’d seen one of the evil creatures. What has he seen, to be unfazed by that thing? You both wait in silence, the crashing stomps of the demon’s hooves growing closer and closer until they suddenly stop, right behind the next hill.

“Who are you?” the deep, booming voice of the demon calls out, you trembling slightly.
“Greetings, Elder One.” the Guardian says, voice echoing out in the void as well. “From New Salda, I come. Its Guardian, I am.”
“Ah yes, I remember you.” it says with a chuckle, sending shivers up your spine. “I watched the Saiyans conquer your world, you know. Their merciless slaughter of the beasts was quite something. I watched as you did nothing to save them, watched as you yet again failed to save those it was your duty to defend. So, failed Guardian of dead peoples, why have you come here?”
“For this child, I have come.” he says. “Why lurks in her mind, a being such as yourself does. And why demonic energy, she has.”
“Very well, I shall tell you.” the demon says, stomping over the hill and into view. He’s absolutely massive, the red-skinned demon walking over to you all and then shrinking down into a copy of you. He looks identical to you, the only difference is his cloak is a deep red and he still has all four glowing red eyes. When he speaks again, you’re surprised his voice is still the same deem, booming tone. “I shall tell you of how my daughter Raven came to be.”

“I told you, I’m not y-!” you shout, the Guardian holding up a hand to silence your outburst.
“And proof of your sincerity, you have?” the Guardian turns and asks the demon. It smiles cruelly at you both, a look you don’t want to ever see your face make again.
“I swear by my name, Trigon the Terrible,” it says, visage returning to normal for just a single moment then switching back to looking like you. “That every word I speak shall be truth. If I speak a lie, may I be banished from this plane for all eternity.”
“May it be so.” the Guardian says, clenching shut his hand as a luminous white magic circle springs into being around the three of you. He then sits down, you copying him then Trigon-in-your-form doing so as well, beginning his tale.

“Many years ago, I took notice of the people of Azar’s high propensity for magic. At least for this day and age.” he begins. “I’d thought their powers could be useful in helping to bring forth the Demon Realm into this mortal realm. So I began recruiting. A vision here, whispered promises there, add in a few visions of grandeur, and within a few decades I’d gathered a sizeable following. Many had considerable talents, but one in particular caught my eye. One young sorceress with more ambition and drive than power, a story I’m sure you’re all too familiar with ‘Guardian’, by the name of Arella Roth.”

“Mom?” you say confused, the Guardian’s eyes narrowing at the demon. You don’t notice at first, too shocked by hearing this demon speak your mother’s real name. But the silence quickly becomes noticeable, you looking confused between the demon and Guardian. The old alien’s glare could melt steel, but this Trigon simply keeps smiling at him smugly. You can’t take this anymore, you just have to know. “What did you do to my mother?”
“Isn’t it obvious?” he asks, turning to you. “I gave her what she wanted. Power.”
“Tainted with misery, that power was.” the Guardian says from far away, as if lost in his own memories.

“I had told her that my power would come at a cost, and she agreed to ‘whatever it takes’ to get stronger.” Trigon says, still smug. “Children can be so impulsive.”
“What happened next?” you ask, curiosity getting the better of you.
“Isn’t it obvious?” he asks, the Guardian finishing the sentence.
“She killed them.”

“No way! My mother would... never....” you shout, but quickly lose steam as both the Guardian and Trigon both look at you. Trigon has a wolfish smile, while the elder alien just looks sad. “Would she?”
“She did.” Trigon says with a wicked smile, images appearing between his open hands of your mother looking much younger, laughing maniacally as she magically slaughters the others of the cult. “Every single one of them. Without hesitation.”
“No! She wouldn’t!” you shout, recoiling against the images you’re seeing. Your mother wasn’t like that, she’d never used her powers against anyone. Even when you’d misbehaved as a small child, she never used her magic on you. This can’t be her, he has to be lying!

“The truth, he speaks.” the Guardian says sighing out sadly, you looking to him confused. “If lied, he had, banished, he would be.”
“But-“ you say, the Guardian interrupting you.
“Finish his tale, you should let him.” he says, turning back to Trigon. You sit back down in a daze, feeling your world crumble apart around you as you listen to the demon’s tale.
“Once the rest were slaughtered, I’d had her draw the proper sigils and circles in their blood.” Trigon continues as if recollecting yesterday’s weather, not talking about brutal murder. “Once everything was ready, and the sacrifices were piled in the center of the circle, I’d had her complete the ritual to bring me into the mortal world. I was finally released!”

At this, Trigon again looks pointedly at the Guardian, pausing pointedly before continuing. “But, as you know, that particular summoning ritual doesn’t last very long. So I had to infuse her with enough of my power, with a key to one day break the seal to the Gates of Hell. But I’d seen her future, it wasn’t to be her. So I had her bear my seed, to bring my spawn into this realm to one day free me from the demon realm.”

“But that would mean...” you say, shocked. You didn’t want to believe it was true, but you’re a demon. Even worse, you were only conceived to be a key to let him out of Hell. “I’m, I’m...”
“That’s right, Raven. My daughter.” Trigon says softly. No, that’s impossible! You can’t be! You can’t be a demon! Can you? Were the others right about you all along? “My mark has been upon you from the day of your birth. Your destiny is to one day bring me into the mortal realm, and rule by my side.”

“Wrong, you are, about her fate.” the Guardian says calmly, both you and Trigon turning to him, the elderly alien still seated. “Perhaps for this purpose, she was born. But her destiny, her own to make.”
“WRONG!!” Trigon shouts, reverting to his original form, roaring. “She! Is! MINE! She exists solely to free me!”

With that he roars and slams his fist into and through the Guardian’s sudden Barrier, it shattering under the impact. His fist slams into the ground, kicking up a dust cloud.

“NOOO!!”

“Now, my daughter.” Trigon says, turning to you. “It is almost time for you to fufill your destiny and open the gate. In another few years I will come back for you, and once you’ve opened the gates we shall conquer the realm of mortals! You will rule at my side, none of these paltry mortals shall be able to oppose you!”

“No.” you say after a moment, gathering your power in your hands. “I will not let you out to hurt my friends!”
“You mean those genocidal monkeys?” Trigon asks, laughing. “You’d help them, but not your own father? They have the blood of more mortals on their hands than even I myself do. Yet you want to protect them? Why?”

You’re unable to answer, mind flashing back to when you’d first seen Karn with your own eyes.

“The universe is a cruel place, Raven. The planets I have called home have been attacked several times before, just like your home was, and each and every time I fought the attackers. I gave everything I had against them to protect what matters to me. I’ve nearly died in battle more times than I can count, and I’ve got the scars inside and out to show for it. But that’s how the universe works. If you’re not strong enough to stand up and protect what’s important to you, someone else will come and take it. Trust me, we got a lot of people who thought that and are now my friends. But if you come with me, you have to follow one rule.”
“What rule?” you’d asked him, confused. “What rule could a bunch of monsters have?” you’d thought to yourself.
“We all look after each other.” he’d said. “And we never leave anyone behind. I’m not saying you have to come to fight. But if you choose to come along, you become one of us.”

One of us.

That’s right. Trigon may be your father, but Karn, Ubo, Meloka, the Guardian, and the others are more than friends. They are your family. And you will fight to protect them, no matter what!

“If you’re not strong enough to protect what’s important to you, someone else will come and take it.” you say as Karn had told you, a deep red glow coming off your black aura. You feel your second, demonic set of eyes opening on your forehead as you release that demonic power inside you. So what if you’re really a demon? It may be his power, but that doesn’t matter now. Its yours, and you know just who you’ll use it on. “And I will not let you take them from me! RRRAAAAAAA!!”

With your mightiest shout, you create your Spirit Raven, a beast composed entirely of your own energy, and send it flying headlong at Trigon, noticing that your skin had turned a deep red. But that doesn’t matter, as you watch the demon energy-enfused attack fly straight through Trigon! You did it?

“Impressive.” Trigon says as his form is consumed by hellfire, leaving nothing behind but his four glowing eyes floating. “What I would expect from my daughter. We’ll see each other again soon.”

And with that’s he’s gone.
cont
>>
>>2610879
You did it, Trigon is gone! Your victory is short-lived, however. The demonic energy you’d used to defeat your father is now rapidly filling your mind with rage and evil, overwhelming your mental defenses. The world around you reflects this as well, sky turning crimson as flames erupt everywhere, more demonic crows circling you.

“Come now Raven, embrace my power.” Trigon’s voice echoes throughout the void. “As my daughter, embrace your birthright!”
“NO! I can’t! I won’t! I-!” As you struggle and fail to suppress the demonic energy, just as you’re about to be consumed, a calming hand is suddenly placed on your shoulder. You start and turn, seeing the glowing visage of the Guardian. “You’re-?!”
“More than that to defeat me, it takes.” the Guardian says, smiling. “Proven yourself, you have. Help you contain this, I will.”

He has you sit in your meditative position, him floating before your face arms outstretched.

“Works both ways, the Mark of Scath does.” the Guardian says, his energy gathered in his hands. “A curse, it can be. But help you now, it can.”

He then presses the palm of his hand to the gem embedded in your forehead, you feeling a pricking sensation behind it then your body erupts in pain. You clutch your middle in pain, falling on your side. For a few moments you believe you’re dying, then suddenly the pain starts fading. Confused, you open your eyes, seeing lines of an unfamiliar script glowing red on your arms, your skin turning back from red to its more natural grey as the power wanes, your mental world returning to “normal”. You look at the odd, luminous script in confusion, looking up to the Guardian then gasping in surprise: the Guardian’s glowing white form is marred with the script as well! The lines are old and faded, but still clearly there. Clearest is the symbol on his forehead, where your gem is. You look to him in confusion, the Guardian speaking before you can ask.

“By Scath, to my people he was known.” the Guardian says, sighing out and sitting down. “A fool, I was. Ambitious, prideful, and arrogant, was I. A deal for power, long ago I had struck. A fool, I was....”

Neither of you say anything for several moments, the Guardian shaking his head and slowly pushing himself to his feet, holding out his hand.

“Teach you to control this power, I will.” he says, you taking his hand and rising to your feet. Once you release his hand the mark begins fading from you, his disappearing as well. “But for now, return home, we should.”

Home. As you open the portal and walk through, you see the real Guardian, the glowing one vanishing, Meloka and Karn and their kids, Ubo, and several others all sitting together, eating and laughing together. As Karn waves you over to sit with him and his family, a new determination rises up in you. This is your home too. This your family. And you will fight to protect them!
