Last time on Saiyan Conqueror Quest:

Karn and his team traveled to the Dreadzone Battledome to face down the rogue demon Demongo. After an exhausting battle, you managed to release all the souls Demongo had trapped in his pocket dimension including your longtime friends Leyas and Sarada. After leaving the station far behind, you spent the return trip home training yourself, pushing yourself and Meloka to 50x New Salda’s gravity, getting Chaya and Broly started on gravity training, and surprisingly getting Jotaro to train in enhanced gravity as well. Despite all this you still had time to learn Tunnip’s Super Energy Blade technique in the two and a half month trip back home. But once you’d arrived, we rejoin Karn as he sees something quite unexpected.

"Daddy, what's that?" Chaya asks, pointing to a Covenant ship approaching New Salda. You look at it a moment, your blood running cold. You have no idea what the hell a Covenant warship is doing here, but you and all the other Saiyans except Bardock immediately panic. You, Meloka, Turles, and after a moment of confusion Broly too all transform into Super Saiyans.

“What the hell are the Covenant doing here?” Nappa asks, hand going to his scouter.
“Wait, the Covenant?” Bardock asks, he Jotaro and Joseph looking around at everyone in confusion. “What’s everyone so worried about?”
“Right, you were a prisoner when this happened.” you say, filling Bardock and the others in. “We fought the Covenant and took a few of their planets, but reached a ceasefire not long into the conflict. If they’re bringing a warship to our world, that can’t be good.”
“Wait, how do you know its actually a warship?” Joseph asks, skeptical. “Shouldn’t you at least check before you blow it to hell?”
“And lost the element of surprise?” Turles asks. “I don’t think so. We should wipe them out now, before they notice us.”
"Should we ask King Vegeta what's going on?" Nappa asks you. "If he doesn't know they're here, we should warn everyone."

“Karn?” he asks. “What’s wrong.”
“We just made it back, and you’ve got a Covenant warship up here.” you tell him. “We’re ready to blow it straight to hell. Just give me the word.”
“DO NOT ATTACK!” he immediately thinks back as seriously as possible. “That’s a Kig-Yar ship. They’re here on business.”

“Stand down everyone, Vegeta’s got this.” you say, then focus back on the telepathic conversation. “What kinda business do they have here?”
“Trade, mostly.” Vegeta tells you. “Building supplies, tools, and construction equipment. But I think they’re really here to scout our defenses. Everyone in the universe has heard by now of the Big Gete Star’s attack on us. I think they’re trying to judge our strength, and if they can wipe us out. I have some of their representatives here with me now, finalizing details before they bring everything down. Raven?”
“Yes?” she asks, you suddenly remembering that she hears everything spoken telepathically within a certain distance of herself.
“Can you open a portal right here where I am?” he asks, you sensing something’s afoot which he then confirms. “I want to worry them a bit.”
“Of course.” she replies, about to open it when she stops him.
“Karn, you and Meloka ready?” he asks.
“One second.” you think back, then turn to Raven and nod, then Meloka. “Ready to go?”
“Uhh, sure?” she replies, nodding uncertainly.
“We’re ready.” you tell Vegeta, then address Chaya, Broly, and Chilli. “We’ll be right back, you three behave okay?”
“Okay!!” Chaya shouts, tagging Broly on the nose then running off. Broly chases her down, Chilli running after them giggling. You smile as they run off, Raven opening a portal and you and Meloka step through together. Suddenly, you're back on New Salda in the conference hall you'd planned the assault on the Covenant in.

"-most humbled by your generosity, Saiyan Ki-WHAT THE HELL?!!" their leader shouts as you and Meloka, still Super Saiyans, seemingly walk out of the wall and appear beside King Vegeta. Your mouth twitches into a grin at their reactions, all three seeming terrified of your sudden presence.
"How went your mission to the Battledome?" Vegeta asks, turning to you. You can sense he's still putting on a show for these potential spies, but how do you play this?

“It was a waste of my time!” you say, slightly heatedly, then think to Meloka, “Play along.”
“Oh?” Vegeta asks simply, his sharklike smirk widening.
“Why’d you send me all the way to the Battledome for that?” you say, dropping from your Super Saiyan form back down to base form. “That demon or whatever, Demongo, right? He wasn’t even a fight, when can I face someone worth my time?”
“I’m sure some fool will make the mistake of attacking us again.” Vegeta says rather pointedly, you doing your best to not to look at the Covenant Kig Yar. You snap your fingers as if remembering something, but you didn’t remember. Instead you had a plan to take this even further.

“King Vegeta, when’s Lord Freeza coming back?” you ask. You see your question took him off-guard, wheels spinning in his head as he tries to figure it out.
“I-I’m not sure?” he asks you, eyes narrowing questioningly. “Why?”
“Since my base form is now as strong as Lord Freeza’s, I figured now’d be a great time for our rematch.” you say, the apparent leader of the Kig Yar group no longer able to contain herself.
“What are you on about?” she says, taking a step towards you. “We’ve read your power in this form, its nowhere near 530,000!”
“Uhh, ma’am?” one of his underlings says, eyes wide and holding some device. “You should see this.”
“What is it?!” she asks angrily, snatching the device from her subordinate. You watch as she glares at it a moment, eyes widening in shock as the color drains from her face. She looks between the device and you a few times, then handing it back, straightening her uniform and addressing Vegeta. “Ahem. King Vegeta. If there’s nothing else, I shall take my leave to return to my ship and have them begin unloading the supplies. It was an privilege doing business with you, King of the Saiyans.”
“Likewise, Shipmistress Chur’R Yet.” Vegeta says, nodding his head as she does. She turns on a heel and walks out, her subordinates following her. The door shuts behind them, Vegeta softly sighing out in relief. "They were more intense than I was expecting. Good job with the Freeza bit, it was a nice touch."
"Thanks." you reply, clasping forearms with Vegeta. "But I was serious, at least about the rematch."
"You've really gotten that much stronger?" Vegeta asks you, curious. You smile and say-

I was thinking of how we Saiyans have been doing most of the heavy work for the past several years, and its time the rest of his forces start getting their strength up to something worth more than cannon fodder.”
“You know...” Meloka says, hand to her chin contemplatively. “Staying here with the kids and training the Freeza Force into something worth bringing along on a mission...”
“Hm, perhaps.” Vegeta says. “But I have to oversee the Kig Yar unloading these supplies today. Sneaky bastards. If you’re not watching their every move, they’ll steal whatever’s not nailed down. We’ll see what happens after that. Karn, Meloka.”

“FREEZE!!” you shout, spinning and drawing your Energy Blade in one smooth motion and extending it out almost to the wall behind where the Kig Yar were standing. You glare a moment, and suddenly an invisible figure becomes visible at the tip of your blade.
“Observant as always, Saiyan Hunter.” the Yautja Hunter says as he becomes visible, arms held up by his head in an ‘I surrender’ pose. Meloka looks alarmed, transforming back into her Super Saiyan form immediately. “Be at ease, Hunter’s Concubine.”
“What was that?” Meloka glares angrily, ki gathering into her fingertip as she points it at the Yautja’s head. “The fuck did you just call me?”
“Did I misspeak your tongue?” he asks Meloka curiously. “You’re the mother of his children, but to whom he’s not wed, yes?”
“Wed?” Meloka asks, curious, lowering her hand. “What’s that?”
“Ah I see, your people must not have matrimonial practices.” he says. “Forgive me, I’d meant no offense.”
“Our people’s customs aside, why are you here?” you ask, steering the conversation back on-course. “And why were you spying on my king? I’m tempted to kill you for spying on my king right now. You’ve got 60 seconds to convince me to let you live.”

“I have information on the Covenant’s plans to destroy New Salda and all the Saiyans.” he says simply, then saying nothing else. You wait what feels like an eternity, until you can’t stand it anymore.
“...AND?!” you and Meloka shout together, patience at its limit.
“And I’ll tell you everything I know about it, in exchange for my life.” he says. Meoka turns to you, unsure what to do.

“Yeah, and we’ve got a problem.” you reply. “I caught a spy.”
“And he’s still alive because?” Freeza asks, you remembering who else you need in on this, thinking to the king as well.
“King Vegeta, can you hear me?” you ask, the young king replying immediately.
“Karn? What’s wrong?” he asks you.
“Greetings, King Vegeta.” Freeza says. “Karn says we have a problem here.”
“Damn right we do.” you say. “A Yautja spy has been listening in on you, Vegeta. I’ve got him cornered here in the conference room.”
“And he’s still alive?” Vegeta asks, Freeza chuckling.
“He’s alive because he claims he has intel we need.” you say. “He claims if I let him live, he’ll tell us everything he knows about the Covenant’s plans to exterminate the Saiyans, and destroy New Salda.”
“Oh?” Freeza asks. “And the problem you have is, what exactly? Simply promise him what he wants, then kill him once he’s told you everything he knows.”
“Wait, I have a better idea.” Vegeta says. ”Let me speak with him.”
“Alright hold on.” you reply, then with a little strain think to the Yautja Hunter as well. “This is Karn. Can you hear me?”
“What is this?” he replies immediately, confusion apparent on his face. “You’re a telepath?”
“Yes he is.” Freeza replies to him. “And so am I.”
“Y-Y-You’re-!” he says, unable to finish the sentence.
“Yes, it is I, the great and terrible Lord Freeza.” Freeza says, and you can just picture his smirk in your head. “And you’ve just committed a grevious mistake, assassin.”

“I’m well aware of your profession Yautja Hunter.” Freeza says, threateningly. “But you committed the most grievous sin any spy or assassin could: you were caught. Your life belongs to me, now.”
“Now just wait a moment.” Vegeta says, cutting in. “I believe it was me he was spying on.”
“Wait, Vegeta too?” the Hunter replies, astonished. “You’re also a telepath?”
“Indeed.” Vegeta replies. “Now listen to me very carefully. If you want to leave here with your life, you will do exactly as I say. Or Karn will erase you on the spot. Understand?”

For several seconds there’s silence, you watching his movements for any sign of trying to flee or attack. He then sighs out, shoulders slumped in defeat.

“What is it you want, Saiyan King?” he asks.

This, guldo needs eye beams, karn needs telekinesis. The ginyus need to get in on gravity training in general as well as learning the various techniques karn and friends have developed.
We should spread our techniques to the saiyan public as well, just hold public seminars explaining how to use them and what they're good for, so that whole crowds can see at once.
We're going to need a lot of gravity chambers, and thus the support of PTO scientists and engineers.
Fortunately between the big ghetti star and those covenant ships, there's a LOT of scrap on-planet for them to use.

“About what?” she asks, the two of you taking to the air. You see the Kig Yar ship has touched down close to the city, a train of supplies being shipped in. But you turn your attention away, turning instead to the labs and flying over to them. You take in the city as you fly, everyone going about their business as if nothing’s wrong. But they don’t know yet, they’re completely unaware their entire species has been put on notice. The weight of what’s ahead crashes down on you, the fate of your entire race hangs in the balance. As you’re watching everyone below as you fly towards the labs, you can feel your resolve hardening by the second. You cannot fail. You and Meloka land by the labs, walking through the main door.

“Well, look who’s back.” the head scientist says, surrounded by three subordinates all trying to get his attention to sign off on different things. “What brings you back here, Karn?”
“We’ve got a problem.” you say, the seriousness of your voice freezing them all in place. “In a year and a half, the Covenant will attack us with everything they’ve got. They plan to wipe us all out.”

Silence falls heavy, the seriousness of the situation crashing onto all of them. They all look to the head scientist, looking for direction. The older Saiyan sighs out, then meets your eyes.

“What do you need?” he asks simply.
“Gravity Chambers. Large ones.” you say. “We need to get every battle-ready Saiyan as strong as possible before they arrive.”
“Done.” he says, reaching over to one of his subordinates and sends the underling running deeper into the lab. “Actually, I have something to show you.”
“Oh?” you ask, the old man gesturing and starts walking down a side hall. You and Meloka look to each other then walk after him, the old man coming to a stop beside an open heavily-reinforced door. He gestures for you and Meloka to go inside, which you both do. He shuts the door, lights lighting up the room. Its a simple cubic shape, each wall maybe 100 meters long, then the lights shift to red and you feel it. A massive weight slams into you, trying to slam you down into the ground.

“What the hell?!” you shout, the sudden gravity shift doubling you over, almost forcing you to your knees. You push against the intensified gravity, forcing yourself upright. Looking over to Meloka, you see that she was caught slightly less surprised than you were, already back upright and throwing a few test punches. She turns to you with a smile, then turns to the heavily-reinforced window in the door and waves. A second or two later the chamber shuts down, the door opening and the scientist walking in.

“So, what do you think?” he asks, smiling fondly at the room. “It can go all the way up to 50x New Salda’s gravity. I’d made this one as a trial build for King Vegeta’s personal training chamber. I have two others ready for deployment as well.”
“This is better than I could have hoped for.” you say, relief flooding over you. With three chambers this size, plus your new and old ship’s chambers as well, more Saiyans will be able to be ready for this upcoming battle. “Only question: how long will it take for your team to build more of these?”
“For each chamber?” he asks, thinking. “If we put the other holdable projects on hold for now, we can put a new one out every four to five months.”
“Excellent. Get it done.” you say, shaking his hand. “This could make all the difference.”
“We’ll do our part.” he says. You and Meloka exit the lab, again taking to the air. She doesn’t question where you’re going, the direction making that all too apparent. You both blast out over the ocean, making the quick trip over to the Guardian’s Island. You know he won’t enjoy this news, but he deserves to know.

The trip over the sea is quick and uneventful, you arriving to the island within a minute of leaving the lab. As you slow to a stop over the island, you see your current and old ships both restin on the island, kids running around playing, and the Guardian sitting on his usual rock watching them. You’re not looking forward to giving him this news, but no point putting it off. You and Meloka land before him, the Guardian's expression fading into a neutral mask as he sees the expressions on the two of your faces.

"Something troubling you?" he asks, curiously.
"We've got a problem." you say seriously.

“Can you take care of training the kids for us?” you ask him seriously. “Watch over them and teach them everything they can learn? I need to focus on training myself and the other adults for this coming war, if you could take care of them it would be a huge help.”
“Done, it will be.” the ancient Guardian says. “Your children, teach I will.”
“Thank you!” Meloka says, sighing out in relief. “This is a huge help.”
“MAMA!! DADDY!!” Chaya shouts, running over to you both excitedly. She leaps at you, you catching and stopping your daughter’s wrecking ball-like charge.
“Oof! Hey kiddo, having fun?” you ask her, your daughter tossing her arms up.
“Yeah!!” she shouts, Broly and Chilli also making their way over to you both. Chilli leaps up to Meloka, her laughing and catching the small boy as Broly walks over to you, you putting a hand on the boy’s head. You turn back to the Guardian, seeing the elder alien smiling at the picture your family paints.

“Beginning today, are we?” the Guardian asks you curiously.
“No, not today.” you say. “We’re getting started tomorrow.”
“Started?” Chaya asks you, curiously. “What’s tomorrow?”
“Your training with Teacher starts back tomorrow.” you tell her. “You excited?”
“YEEEAH!!” she shouts, pumping her fists into the air. “Teacher’s great!”
“Good.” you say, turning to Broly. “What about you?”
“O-Okay.” he says, looking up at Chaya’s enthusiasm.
“If beginning today, you’re not.” the Guardian says. “Other plans, you have?”

Question, in this canon, how long ago was Buu’s rampage that broke the universe? In canon it was like five million years ago, but I doubt that’s what it was here since Cold was alive for that shit.

“Yeah, I want to go check up on some friends first.” you say, lifting up into the air. Meloka and Broly follow you skyward, Chaya leaping from your arms to fly alongside you. You take off at an easy pace, you, Meloka, Chaya and Broly all flying along together over the ocean. Its a nice flight, you enjoying being with your family as the waves roll along beneath you. The mainland soon comes into view, you locking on to Tatsu’s ki and flying over to the elder Saiyan. He’s on the outskirts of the city, again in an almost exact copy of his previous pre-Big Gete Star residence. You land before the door, and before you can even knock he has the door open.

“Karn, Meloka, you’re back.” he says, smiling warmly. “And hello children. Been behaving for your parents?”
“Yussss!” Chaya says happily, Broly nodding and Chilli leaping to him. Tatsu chuckles a bit, catching your youngest son with his one good arm.
“Haha and good to see you too, Chilli.” he says. “What brings you all down here?”
“Just wanted to talk and catch up, and let you know what’s upcoming.” you say lightly, but he knows from your expression something’s wrong. His expression darkens, floating back into his hut.
“Come in, come in.” he says, keeping the light tone in his voice. But you can tell he’s worried, the old warrior’s entire body tensed up like a coiled spring. “Have a seat, and tell me what you’ve been up to.”
“Ooh! Me first, me first!” Chaya says, Tatsu chuckling and agreeing with her. As she tells Tatsu about her training with you and Meloka on the trip back, you telepathically fill him in on what happened and what you learned.

“Only around eighteen months until our fate is decided.” he thinks back to you, absently ruffling Chilli’s hair as Chaya excitedly goes on about her training, you and Tatsu focusing on both conversations at once. “Will Vegeta alert everyone?”
“Tomorrow.” you reply. “It’s going to be a big announcement, he’s gathering everyone for this.”
“Then you should stop by and tell a couple others before then.” he says gravely. “Leyas and Sarada are both still shaken from what happened, but they won’t talk to anyone. They just eat and sleep, something’s clearly wrong with them. Maybe they’ll open up to you?”
“Alright I will.” you think back, then you say. “I’ve gotta go real quick, you kids behave for Tatsu while I’m gone, okay?”
“Okay!” Broly and Chaya say together, Chilli’s “Otay” a second behind. You quickly stride from the room, telepathically telling Meloka as you focus, searching for their kis. After a moment you find them, on the other side of the city. A short flight later, and you’re before their door, knocking on it.

“Leyas? Sarada? You guys in here?” you ask, not getting an answer for several seconds. You’re about to beat on the door again, when suddenly it opens.

You’re greeted to the sight of a haggard-looking Leyas, who seems to have not eaten for several days and wrapped in a blanket, staring at you in confusion.

“...Karn?” he asks, seeming confused.
“Leyas, are you all right?” you ask him. You’ve never seen him like this. Something’s very wrong here. “Leyas, c’mon man what’s wrong?”

He doesn’t say anything, just lets the blanket drop from around his shoulders. You’re confused, wondering why he was only wearing a blanket. Then you notice something odd. The Leyas you remember had had a massive, impressive scar through his right shoulder where he’d been impaled on your team’s first mission. But its not there. The scars on his arms and upper body are all gone.

“Wha...? What the hell?” you ask him, confused.
“I’m... I’m not real.” he says, eyes wide and haunted, looking down at his oddly unscarred, callous-free hands. “We’re both not real. We both died, that demon tore us limb from limb and tortured us for weeks before finally killing us back there. This isn’t Me!!”

Well, this is something you’re not qualified to deal with. What now?

You don’t know how to handle this. So you revert back to what you DO know. You pull your arm back and slam your fist square into Leyas’s jaw, knocking him back into his room and crashing into something. Or someone. You walk inside, seeing Leyas and Sarada untangle themselves and rise, both squaring up to you. Despite the low light, you can see that Sarada’s scars have vanished as well, even the massive shoulder-to-hip scar she’d gotten from nearly being bisected by that sand wurm’s tusks back from the same mission Leyas was injured on. You remember murdering that beast in a fit of rage, breaking off it’s right tusk and killing the beast with it. Sarada looks rather odd without that scar, but you can’t let it distract you. Both furious, Leyas and Sarada attack you, you defending against their strikes. The two of them together can’t break through your defenses, the power gap simply too much. You let them wear down attacking you, then as their strikes keep slowing down more and more and hit with less and less power, you make your move. You twist past Leyas’s punch, flip over both of them to dodge Sarada’s kick, and flip upside-down over the both of them. Grabbing the both of them by the backs of their heads you slam their heads together, the Saiyan siblings both crying out in shock and pain and grabbing their heads, sinking to their knees.

“Feel that?” you ask a little louder than you’d planned, the sudden combat getting your blood pumping. “That pain proves, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that you’re alive. Who cares if that’s not your body? Its still you in there, right?!”

Neither of the siblings say anything, looking up at you in shock and confusion. You have their attention, you have to keep pressing forward and hope you can get through to them.

“Who cares if your original bodies were destroyed, these bodies are yours now.” you say, a bit of heat in your voice. “And so what if you died? I didn’t dive headfirst into that hell and drag you both back out of it just for you to waste away in here. You’ve both been given a second chance at life. Not many are that lucky.”

Leyas and Sarada both look to each other, conflict visible on their faces. You reorient yourself with gravity, landing in front of the siblings.

“You guys have a choice. You can stay in here, and waste this life I fought tooth and nail to give you. Or-“ you say, holding your hands down invitingly. “You can get up. You can come with me. And you can live a second life worthy of a Saiyan!”

Neither of them says anything for a moment, then Sarada hangs her head and sighs out, chuckling a bit. When she raises her head to look you in the eyes, you recognize the old Sarada’s fire.

“You’re right, dammit.” she says, grabbing your hand and you pulling her to her feet. “I’ve got a whole ‘nother life to live, I’m not wasting it in here!”
