>The Gods and Demi of the Old World waged war, shoving shoulder to shoulder until their realm was forgotten. The Old World forgotten and ruined, in fractures of time and arcana, a new world is born amongst the chaos.

Welcome to Beings of Creation 2, a tactical hexcrawl based on your imagination. You are a physical, non-omnipotent, divine being of great power. You find yourself spontaneously brought to existence in a seemingly untouched world. The white hex are undiscovered terrain, of which you may explore and extrapolate its resources. The blue hex is open ocean. You have the ability to terraform the land to your will and create objects and life. The first step to playing BoC2 is creating your daemon, using the following outline.

Name: (What we will call your daemon. Also, please be a namefag.)
Starting Hex: (The one hex that will be your starting position.)
Description: (Your daemon’s appearance and theme/domain. You do not need to be humanoid.)
Terrain: (When you begin, you transform your starting hex into a terrain of your choice. This can be anything that does not inherently give you statistical bonuses.)

Your beginning stats will be derived from this process, posted after the first map update.

After this first step, all your turns thereafter will use Action Points to perform actions. The actions you may take and the point cost are listed below:
Attack (4), Research/Develop (2), Explore/Search (2), Terraform (3), Trade (1), Communicate (0)
These may be updated and further explained in the future. The results of using these actions depends on your methods and stats.

The magic system will be explained in the following post, due to a current lack of time on my part, so please refrain from creating a magic system of your own. Additionally, resources and such will be collectable from the environment as you discover them; I will explain your surroundings and mark them on the map as you explore and discover new land. You may create minions that move independently from yourself yet under your orders, allowing you to explore further into the map. Anything I forgot to mention here will be covered in the next update or on the discord server.

Description: A tall man wearing ornate armor which covers much of his body, the parts not covered by it being hidden in rags and bandages. The only uncovered part of him is his head, which reveals him as one of the living dead.
Theme: Undeath, Time, Royalty
Terrain: Intense Deserts with the occasional Oasis.

The proudest of his kind, Altakhsas only seeks to fulfil his self-appointed destiny of taking the world under his rule and uniting all, whether with an olive branch or with a sharp blade. He bothers not for the usual debauchery of royals, for such actions are neither needed or wanted by one who walks the boundary of life and death like him, though he is not above using copious amounts of finery and jewels, if only to show of his own greatness.

Themes: Weather, light, nature, crystal, metal
Terrain: Rolling hills and tall mountains covered in a thick forest of spiraling trees that grow broad leaves and crystalline flowers. Homes all to many small animals and bugs of all sorts. The terrain is dotted with occasional caves that dig deep into the earth, and the sky is punctuated with floating rocks, levitating crystals, and flying islands that touch the clouds.

Now that character creation is complete, lets go over the rules.
ACTIONS
You have 6 Action Points.

Attack (4)
- Attacking a player requires you to roll 1d20 plus the related stat involved in the attack. This roll will contest a defense roll made against the target, rolled by the OP. Attacks made with troops require your minions to be adjacent to the target, meanwhile ranged attacks may differ in distance.

Research/Develop (2)
- You and/or your minions begin learning and experimenting with creating a specific tech. This is used to develop tech and improve skills. This is also used for your innate creation abilities, to make things like races, basic cities, objects, other complex concepts, and etc.

Explore/Search (2)
- You and/or your minions venture further into the unknown, discovering new terrain, daemons, and resources. You may also use this action to collect resources from discovered terrain or defeated enemies. This can also be used to develop tech and improve skills.

Terraform (3)
- This is your ability to transform the terrain of an area into whatever you will it to be. Owning more hex can improve your divine influence/power. You may claim an amount of hex by using this action equal to your Terraforming skill.

Trade (1)
- You can trade any amount of resources between another nation/daemon assuming you have a way of transporting goods.

Communicate (0)
- Assuming you have a method of establishing communication, it does not cost anything to speak to other daemon, discuss plans, etc. You may communicate back and forth.

MAGIC
The magic system is based on the inscription of arcane sigils in combination with the sacrifice of material components. You can create an arcane sigil in any manner, as long as it completes the shape. I.e. carving, writing, burning, painting, inscribing, chalking, etc. They can be made at any size. Placing a material, in combination with one's willpower, into the sigil will expend the material and convert it into a spell. The spells that come from each material is up to you to discover. I suggest you keep track of them.

WIN CONDITIONS
The winner is determined by the last standing player, or the most powerful/influential by the time we've reached complete world peace. Alternatively, it may end when we've reached a conclusive point in the story.

TIME
Events occur in chronological order based on when posts are made. If someone makes a post that contradicts another, I will always take the side of the post that was made first. This typically comes into play with claiming the same tile as another player.

Sarrafel looks around from her mountaintop and laughs. This is a good land, one that will provide good hunting and breed strong folk. She must only give them a chance to prove themselves.

Develop: Create the Norsemen, a race of hardy humans to inhabit these lands. They bear minds similar to the Huntress' but their bodies are far smaller and weaker. Their struggle is to overcome the mightier beasts of the world using their wits.

Develop: Create the Giants, a race of monstrous men twelve feet or more in height. They have strength far beyond all but the mightiest of foes, but their struggle comes from their duller wits. They must ever beware of being tricked and outsmarted by the other denizens of the world.

Explore: Inheriting the desire for adventure and glory of their creator, some of the new men explore south into 1F 16.

Elyot sat watching the water in the river flow past as he had for far too long.
How much time had he wasted in his tranquil state?

A lone creature, four legged and furry broke him from his revery. Despite being entirely hidden from sight, the mammal had tracked him by scent, curious and hungry.
Finding only an unseen and massive Daemon, the gentle animal simply gave Elyot a small lick and sat next to him, watching the water.
Reaching out with his power, he lent the smallest portion of his sight to the noble beast, sharing his awareness of the plentiful fish in the river and the creature's own capability to catch them.
Immediately, it leapt into the water and returned with it's feast, even offering to share the last of its meal with Elyot.
The next day, more of the animals returned, mimicking the first one's success.

The black pyramid seems nearly impenetrable on the outside, with nothing else interesting surrounding it. However, a bit further south, a large gaping hole can be seen int he middle of the sand, leading into pure darkness. More coast and desert surrounds the area.

As divine energy enters the obelisk, you see the runes on this obelisk, and many others surrounding, glow a dim purple. A large inscribed rune reveals itself beneath the snow, as its glow melts the snow above, sitting in a clearing centered around many obelisks. Nothing else seems to happen.
The forests grow a healthy green color of life and energy.

This sparks an idea.
He sends some Cainin to the woods to gather some Roseberry Wood.
Seeing the Canin loyally struggle to bring down the trees and fetch him sticks, Elyot showed them how to break river stones against each other to make crude stone axes and woodworking tools.

Not satisfied with only being able to communicate with animals, Tritonius continues using his daemon powers to give himself and his Tritonians the ability to control sea life. He uses information gathered from communicating with sea creatures to better understand them and how to bend them to his will.

Tritonius feels that his minions are vulnerable creatures. He uses his daemon power to grant his Tritonians super strength and durability. So that they may better withstand the intense pressures of the deep ocean.

As Tritonius expanded south he see's something that he has yet to see before. Some sort of rocky formation of rocks and sand climbing upwards. He follows it up. Exploring and discovering the surface world. Discovering The south island near his border and its inhabitants. He realizes that the world is not entirely made of water. And for some reason has trouble breathing out of it. The tritonians are startled by this discovery and wonder if these surface dwellers are a threat. Some call for war in order to eliminate a possible threat to their existence. They argue that they have little land and could be eliminated. Yet Tritonius hushes such calls. He tells his people that he will not attack them, he wishes to see if they are peaceful first, but will attack if attacked. Instead he wishes to speak to their leaders. He feels a bit of pity for them since they have such little land. Perhaps if they had a larger area and were more numerous in number he would feel threatened, but instead he wishes to learn from these unique creatures and protect them, since they are surrounded by his home. He hopes that they are peaceful beings, or atleast peaceful to him and his creatures.

Tritonius notices a vast difference bewteen the two sides of the island despite it's small size. He attempts to communicate with the leader of each side, beginning with the leader of the crocodilians. He goes near the shore and calls out for Valakor, communicating with his crocodilians through sea telepathy making it clear he wishes to communicate with him. Despite being vastly different he senses a sort of kindred spirit relationship that is difficult to explain between him and Valakor.

Occuelum
An odd silence covers the eastern side of the New World, as one light in the expanse of daemons goes dim.
Beneath the deserts and floodplains of Occuelum's terrain, a boiling of blood begins to rise from the sandy grounds. Pools of blood rise from the ground, seeping upwards, as the sand begins to turn a gritty dark tint of gray. Occuelum's undead begin to transform, harboring a gorey build of bone and blood, chunked dripping flesh clobbered together between fractured bone. Occuelum himself stands blank minded, as if he'd become a shell of a being. Eyes gone blank white, skin gone pale, and blood seeping at the arms, he at last moves, turning to the lands surrounding him with a grin.

Elyot the Unseen sat on his massive haunches in the field, transfixed by the runes and the obelisks, their mysteries captivating him.
He just simply wanted to understand. What's more, he could see with his powerful sight, that the truth of the runes held magic.
And Elyot wished to understand the magic as well.
Using coils of Solgrass, he placed cuts of the grass in perfect line with in the great runic symbol on the side of the northeast obelisk. He channeled divine energy into it as he focused his will and intent on understanding the nature of the rune and perhaps the obelisk itself.

Elyot was also fascinated by the nature of runes and symbols themselves.
He saw how powerful it was: the idea of the concept of a thing being carried and translated through words both spoken and written.
As he studied the runes, he began to work on a language matching the simple broken speech of the Canin with the runic symbols.
Perhaps the meanings he ascribed to them might not match their original intent, but he tried his best to understand them as he worked on creating his own language and teaching it to his people, speaking and marking crude symbols in the field with spears and then into wood with tools.

The eldest and wisest of the Canin, who happened to be descended from the first dog that Elyot converted, approached Elyot the Unseen. He was dying, soon to blissfully pass into the Eloysian Fields, and he wanted to pass his wisdom down to the future generations.
He asked Elyot if he could instruct others to spread the wisdom that Elyot had shared with him personally. Elyot liked the idea and worked with the elder, who is called Pytor by the others (which is loosely translated into "Smells Like Elyot"), to set down a set of rules of wisdom to live by.

Any who become too greedy though and anger her by asking for too much will be cursed, transformed into wretched beasts destined to forever wander the hellish storms around the hall, reduced to just another barrier to others who would seek to ask the goddess a wish.

The cave to the north was unlike the other caves of Qazlal's lands. Qazlal could not see into this one to tell if it were shallow or grand. Qazlal would not let this stay unknown!

Having learned of beings able to seafare from Valakor, Tritonius feel's a bit threatened. He doesn't like beings entering his domain. Shortly after the events of the attack, there feels to be a moment of pure silence on the western island. A cold breeze covers Beatrice's territory, followed by a rumbling. The boiling of blood rising from between the blades of grass and flowers, crawling up the now blank faced elves. Beatrice stands still, as if completely lifeless, watching her terrain turn from beautiful plains of life, to a blood soaked field of gray, dead, grass. Tritonius is still ever curious about magic. He creates another arcane rune on the bottom of the ocean. This time he places shorebell wood on it instead of white sand. He notices that the symbol his intuition guided him to create is different then the previous one he created and that it's glowing a different color...He infuses his will on the rune, eagerly waiting to see what will happen.
