November 11th, 1994.

Arriving at the Italian airport, you and Jotaro sat down at a bench near the cab rank, where Polnareff told you to wait for him.
"Rome huh?" Jotaro ponders. "It appears to be a pretty nice place if you ignore the crime rate. Another country to write down on our list of places to visit when we have the time."
"I think it's best for us to learn Italian first before a proper vacation. Pol said they don't have a high opinion on foreigners since they're easily fooled by the residents." You replied.
"Excuse me sir, would you mind telling me what time it is?" Jotaro asks an italian man passing by in english, only to hear what sounded like a rude response from him.
"Impara la mia lingua, turista pigro!"
"Yare Yare daze..." Jotaro groans after seeing your point being proven. "Might as well watch the snow fall while we wait for Polnareff."
"He did say he couldn't give away his location since the arrow guy might already be tracking him down, so it's not like we have a better choice..."

Jean Pierre was purposefully vague on his information, preferring to discuss the mission in private and only telling you to wait for him at the airport. While it's something awfully cautious coming from Polnareff, you agreed on waiting in order to not jeopardize his 5 year long research.
Oh well, at least you can have a word with Jotaro while Pol isn't here.

"How do you think Jolyne is holding up? I'm starting to regret placing her with Kakyoin after the 5th time he called asking how to calm her down when she's throwing a tantrum."
She's 2 years old, tantrums are normal at that age due to babies not knowing how to deal with their emotions properly." Jotaro says, picking up a pamphlet talking about The Colosseum. "Kakyoin is more smart enough to take care of her for a few days."
"I hope you're right. Although we'll have to pay him a new keyboard when we get back in Japan because she spilled strawberry juice on his old one, she gets a bit rough when playing around, if it wasn't for the doll collection I had back when I was younger she would be out of toys by now. That phase of hers likely won't last very long, but it's a shame Kak had to see the worst of it." You state, missing your daughter.
"Don't worry, she's still a lot safer in Japan than over here. A mafia getting involved with stand arrows is probably the worst possible combination we could have encountered."

"True, maybe that's the reason Polnareff is taking so long to show up." You worryingly mention Jean Pierre to your husband.
"He said something about receiving some help from the Speedwagon Foundation before arriving here, but it's still a bit weird for him to be late for an important meeting. Whatever it is, I hope he's been keeping his stand in shape."
"Speaking of which, are you still training with Star Platinum like you promised to? I know Jolyne and work keeps you too busy to train with me, but you better not be slacking off."
"I am not, Star Platinum is doing great and I have honed my stamina to the point where I can stop time by 4 seconds with relative ease."
"You were able to do 5 seconds before though. Sounds like slacking off to me!" You teasingly poke his nose with Karma Chameleon.
"Really? How have you been with both Hamon and Karma recently? I doubt you've had enough time to get stronger with both of those ever since the workload got the better of you." Jotaro teases you back.

>My Hamon got a bit weaker, but Karma is at peak performance.
>Karma got weaker, but my Hamon is really strong now!
>I managed to keep them at a reasonable level, but neither abilities have improved much.

Though we're Hamon going enough to make Hitomi look like Lisa Lisa in her 50s for sure.

"My Hamon got a bit weaker, but Karma is at peak performance! You would be surprised to know how many patients I helped out with a bit of mending here and there from Karma's ability. She should be as precise as Star Platinum now." Karma demonstrates this by switching her colors around by touching different parts of your clothing.
"I see. Her base durability did get a bit worse when we last sparred, but nothing your absorption can't cover up, judging by how frequently you've used this I'm surprised you're not the one dying Jolyne's hair blonde."
"Hair dye is bad for a kid her age Jotaro, I had to use a few strands of hair for her to look that way. It was hard, but she seemed so happy about it that I don't regret it one bit." You reveal that you've been playing around with Jolyne's hair, with Jotaro giving you a surprised glare.
"What, you think I would trust a salon to take care of her hairdo? At least it's cheaper." You shrug.

"If you say so... I'm thinking about placing her in school in January. The old man suggested homeschooling her like his grandmother did to him, but I don't think I want Jolyne to be like Joseph was when he was younger."
You were about to give your opinion on Jolyne's tutoring, but the sight of a familiar buff frenchman walking towards you while holding a VHS camera called your attention.
"Hey, sorry to keep you waiting. The Foundation sent me some help so I had to contact them first." Polnareff gleefully hugged you both. "Cant believe it's been 2 years since the wedding! I didn't even get to see Jolyne, I missed you guys!"
Despite not looking any different than when you first saw him, Polnareff seemed to be a lot calmer and more collected in his speech and mannerisms than ever before, the old Jean Pierre would probably be jumping around or shouting his lungs out after seeing his friend again, but judging by his casual approach he took when greeting you, Pol seems to have changed the most out of you three.

"Good to see you in one piece, Polnareff." Jotaro returned the gesture.
"Took you long enough you big haired bastard! I'm not showing you Jolyne until you let Michel play with her!" You hugged him back before provoking him for old time's sake.
"Malena actually wanted me to take him to Italy since I kept telling stories about Europe for the boy, but since the mission was too dangerous for kids I figured I could record some sort of video diary with a camera. It should be useful to look for Passione too!" Polnareff moves over to his car, where he drove you and Jotaro to his secret hideout.
"So Passione is the name of the mafia gang? It sounds a bit silly." Jotaro said to his longtime friend.
"You haven't told us that much about the gang itself, what's the situation here?" You figured it was about time Polnareff explained things further.

"That's the scary part about this, I was actually trying to contact you guys for the past 3 days, but it's almost as if everything around me is halting my connection to the outside world: Telephones, computers, mails, nothing. I'm suspicious that the mafia gang and his leader might be onto me."
"Already? But you've only been here for 3 days! Do they really have enough resources to track you down under such a short time period?" You ask.
"I've worked with data mining for the past 5 years and still have no idea on how they were able to find me after taking all the necessary precautions, but seeing how everything around me is acting all weird at the exact same time I needed to contact the Foundation, I'm hoping for the worse. Maybe one of my information brokers sold me out, I don't know."

"How did you talk to the Foundation then? I thought phone calls and the internet weren't working out for ya."
"They were the ones that chose my hiding spot, so going through radio silence for a few days would obviously make them think something went wrong. They even offered to escort me back to safety and take it from here, but dropping my search halfway through while Passione is this close to tumbling down just doesn't feel right. Going away now means the boss would be a lot harder to track down again after he already discovered that there was a private company looking for his identity."
"Makes sense, but it's still risky to hide on enemy territory. How much of Passione do you know about to refuse an offer like that? Did you find the arrow?"
"Not exactly, I know the leader of the bunch is named Diavolo and that one of his affiliates has the golden arrow with him, but I wasn't able to find out which one of the dozens of members had the arrow with them. What I did discover about Passione is a lot worse than I had in mind: We're not dealing with the average thug here, aside from the usual killers and robbers, Diavolo's authority is powerful enough control the local authorities and the government itself, he just bribes them to turn a blind eye while he sells drugs to kids so he can recruit them to Passione!" Polnareff parked his car near his hideout, a small shed near the cliffside.

"So if he knows you're here despite being isolated from the city, how are you supposed to meet up with Diavolo?" Jotaro asked.
"With this thing, of course." Polnareff took the beetle arrow from the trunk of his car. A non-stand user of Passione informed me that Diavolo is at a hotel near Ostia beach after taking him down. He thinks I'll be going alone, but with Jotaro and you here we'll be more than able to--"
"Polnareff, can you hold still for a second?" You cut him off after noticing something at the top of his pompadour.
"Huh? Is there something on my hair?" He crouches down, only to get a hamon chop to the head, instantly dismantling a white, wireless transmitter hidden in his scalp.
"Yeah, turns out the guy you interrogated found a way to spy on you." You crouch down to check on the broken recorder, completely ruining Jean Pierre's original plan.
"Good grief Polnareff, don't you wash your hair when taking a shower? How didn't you notice this thing on your head?"

"Shit,... Well at least it was a mic instead of a camera, so he didn't see that I had one arrow with me, I thought that since stand users are naturally attracted to each other bringing the arrow along with me should only make the magnetism stronger, but after knowing how Diavolo was spying on me I don't know if I should still consider this as an advantage... I guess even know that he knows there are more stand users on the way he still doesn't know our abilities, so at least we have something going for us. " Polnareff tries to look on the bright side. "Additionally, he didn't hear about the two other stand users the Foundation sent here!"

"You asked for even more reinforcements after contacting us? Better safe than sorry I guess." Jotaro says, opening the door to the shed to look for the stand users present inside. "Alright, who's there?"

"WAIT WAIT WAIT! IT'S JUST JOTARO! DON'T SHOUT!" Tempest takes the stand away from Billy Idol in the nick of time.
"That's Jotaro? I barely recognized him without the black jacket. Guess the guy finally got tired of wearing blue, black and purple every day huh?"
Sporting the Speedwagon Foundation uniform and their signature gigantic pair of glasses, the clumsy duo walked out of the shack to greet their superiors.

"Hey there you two! Ready to fight some evil doers?" You wave at them with Karma Chameleon.
"We're already leaving? But we just got done packing Polnareff's stuff..." Tempest whined, being pulled at the arm by Billy.
"Tempest and I aren't used to fighting stands like you guys, do you really think this is a good idea?" Billy cautiously asks Polnareff.
"You'll be safe with us, just take a look at how many stand users we have in our win count, what are the odds of Diavolo being stronger than all of us combined?" The chariot soothes their worries as he entred back in his car.

"Billy do you mind taking the driver's seat? I wanted to record something for Michel." Polnareff tinkered with his VHS camera before departing to Ostia. "I haven't made a video for him since yesterday when I interrogated the Passione member, so I think it would be cool to show him who his dad likes to hang out with."

"No offense Polnareff, but I think we should stay focused on Diavolo. It's the reason why we came all the way over to Rome in the first place." You warned the family man.
"It won't take that long, it's just going to be a short vid to kill his curiosity. It shouldn't be longer than 2 minutes tops." Polnareff argues against it.
"We'll have plenty of time to say hello to Michel once we take care of Diavolo, as soon as Passione finds out about their bug being destroyed they're going to put their guard up, especially if this meetup of his turns out to be a trap." Jotaro rationalized the issue for him;
"Fine, I guess I could wait for a bit..." Polnareff leans back on his chair, letting Billy drive the car for him.
"That's it? Only a light hearted explanation was all it took for you to be convinced? Malena really did wonders for your patience didn't she?." Tempest points it out, happy to see the non-conflict end pacifically.

After about an hour you arrived at the snowy Ostia beach with the group, parking the car next to a snowy hill, you start your search for Diavolo by asking Polnareff for directions.
"Did he say anything about a specific part of the beach? Close to the pier? Maybe next to a fishing boat?"
"Nope, this place tends to be pretty isolated on snowy days, so that's likely why he chose it, spotting him in the middle of this snowy field will be a piece of cake, but escaping to ask for help is another story." Polnareff explained.
"Hitomi, you were able to use a Hamon radar with water before right? Think you could use this on the snow?" Jotaro brainstorms a great way to hunt for the mob boss."
"Sure!" You charge your body with the yellow sun energy and melt the snow beneath you into water, forming a small puddle to aid the pursuit.
"The waves are flowing in the direction of the car..." Billy raises an eyebrow. "That can't be right, we got out of the car a few minutes ago, there's no way he could have sneaked past us without being noticed."
"The Hamon radar hasn't failed on me once." You refute.
"If she says Diavolo is by the car, it's enough for me to believe." Jotaro brings out his stand and uses his precise vision to inspect the empty car. "He could be either behind or under the car, it's hard to say from here."

"Good thing the arrow and the camera are with me, how should we approach the guy?" Polnareff summons Silver Chariot.

The car's already busted and the Hamon radar suddenly switched over to a new direction.

"He changed locations! He's right there--" You pointed to the direction the puddle was flowing towards, but a fast blur of what appeared to be Billy Idol's arm was sent flying up into the air, with a red fist impaling his stomach.
"REBEL YELL!" Billy shrieked inside of his megaphone right into the crimson stand's forehead, only for the rest of his body to be thrown down the cliff, rolling back to the car the Foundation worker was driving.
"I will not tolerate anyone who attempts to discover my identity! Those who defy me will be killed by the invincible King Crimson's hands!" A ruthless, pink haired man shouted at the group staring at his opponents as if he didn't just brutally punch a hole through a man's chest.
"DIAVOLO!?" Polnareff turned around in a mixture of shock and fury.
"BILLY!" Tempest panicked after seeing her lover collapsing under a car, bleeding to death after a single blow.

The bizarre looking man starts staring into the strands of his hair, appearing to be slightly angry.
"Whatever that mortal man did, it appears to have confused Epitaph's ability to read the results." He monologues. "Fate must be trying to test me again by finishing off these fodder enemies without properly seeing the pitfalls of the future. It won't matter, I have evolved beyond humanity's dependency on fate, your stand abilities are irrelevant before King Crimson! I will remain at the apex!"
Despite having no clue as to what this insane man is saying, the group feels pretty intimidated to act given how Diavolo easily bodied Billy Idol, but as they start to hear Diavolo's confident speech, the shock and grief are shifted into anger and determination, prompting the team to summon their stands.

Why wouldn't each person try to do each thing?

While he's still in Tempest's line of sight!
>>
>>2553802
Alright, so we need a plan. What we know: he has some sort of teleport? power, or perhaps a power similar to timestop. Jotaro didn't see it, so its porbably not be time stop. And its not moving super fast, else again, jotaro would have seen it.

Well, we can mark him with countdown for sure. Just pull out the camera and say we have a video on his identity, then show him or something... I kind of want to take some platinumite and give it over to countdown so the two of them can move in the stopped time and set up the manuever while we go rush billy to try and save his life.
>>
>>2553802
>>Mark Diavolo with Final Countdown.
It's the best way to win. Once we mark him, we can play defense for 5 minutes.
>>
>>2553802
Hitomi runs to the car to try to heal, Jotaro does timestop to try to attack Diavolo, and Pol goes in for the armor-off and an attack? Ooh, and Tempest can always mark him after, especially when it all inevitably fails.

She needs to mark him straight away, the moment he twigs what he power is she's gonna end up like Billy.

>>2553836
5 minutes is better than trying to hold him off indefinitely. Really the only way to take him down for good is pulling out of Reqiuem stand and it's still a decade too early for Gold Experience Reqiuem. We're just playing to escape with out lives here.

8 - STRENGTH
5 - HEIROPHANT
Having a mindset that you can turn a situation around puts you on top of it.

Overcome a spiritual challenge, and you turn the physical situation around.

You’ve got a big problem on your hands: Quit being nice to it.

Now that I have overcome my vice, I’ve got my reputation back.

I straighten myself out, and I turn myself around.

There’s something you should nip in the bud in a hurry.

Getting myself out of a rut, diplomatically.

Finessing getting things going in the right direction here.

It’s perfectly normal to suddenly overcome something.

I’ve handled it; it’s no threat anymore; I’m okay.

Applying a quick and harmless solution.

"SILVER CHARIOT!"
"STAR PLATINUM: THE WORLD!"

All colors faded to a darker shade as Jotaro freezes time, walking towards the still mob boss staring at him.
"Bastard... It takes some balls to appear out of nowhere and just kill one of our men like that, let me take a brief look at you before sending you straight to hell." Jotaro analyses Diavolo from head to toe, even seeing the sleeping miniature of a face stuck on King Crimson's angry forehead.
"Hm... I wasn't able to understand your ability correctly just from seeing it once, but I have no doubts about being able to end this battle before it starts."
"ORAORAORAORAORAORAORAORAORAORAORAORAORAORAORAAAA!" Jotaro makes sure to break every single of Diavolo's bones in the attack, turning his body into mush before resuming time.
"Time continues to flow."

"Time has been erased!"
As soon as Jotaro let go of his time stop, Diavolo managed to erase the actions of his enemy before his death could even happen.
"While I am not able to accurately see Epitaph, I naturally predicted your attacks when Polnareff summoned his stand. Now that King Crimson is active I will be able to see all of your actions-- WHAT?."
Diavolo is confused to see everyone but Jotaro acting out as predicted, Polnareff was rushing down to attack the gang leader's previous position, Hitomi was rushing towards the car and Tempest was sobbing her eyes out, but Jotaro's frames suddenly disappeared from King Crimson's vision before idly standing by.
"Why can't I read that man? This does not make sense! King Crimson should be able to see all of the results!" Diavolo positions himself behind Jotaro. "I need to eliminate him as soon as possible. Time returns it's progression!"

"He disappeared again? How is he able to do that?" Jotaro thought to himself, not noticing the red maniac behind him.
"FINAL COUNTDOWN!" The clockwork stand suddenly marked Diavolo, who couldn't predict the results of the attack since they were too far into the future.
"Damn it all! What did you do to me?" Diavolo raged as the number 90 was automatically graved into his heart.
"N-Nothing..." Tempest lied through her teeth while keeping the number in Diavolo's heart stationary, hoping he wouldn't find out by himself.
"HYAAAAAH!" Polnareff once again tried to flank King Crimson with Silver Chariot, but Diavolo erased time once more to meet Hitomi down the cliff.
(1/2)
>>
>>2553974
"Jotaro, did you see that? He just keeps disappearing!" Polnareff asked, dropping the camera to the ground.
*BEEP*
Polnareff accidentally turned his camera on as it fell on the ground, the timer going from 00:03 to 00:13 in a mere instant.
"Wait a minute... How did the camera just skip forward in time like that? I didn't press the forward button and it's brand new!"
"What does it matter?!" Tempest shouts at Polnareff for ignoring Billy's quick deathblow.
"The recorder skipped forward in time...?" Jotaro stared at the melting puddle his wife created, along with the camcorder's lack of a forward button.

"It happened again!" You see yourself crouching on the ground, with Billy's body bleeding out even faster than before. "How is Diavolo doing this?"
"The actions of your stands are not needed for Fate to advance, only the results have any lasting effect on the world." Diavolo places King Crimson's hands on your throat, halting your breathing.
"Whether you decide to heal him, attack or wait for your allies to save you, only the results will matter! ONLY THE RESULTS!" Diavolo aims two of his fingers into your eyes, planning to gouge them out.

>"Hitomi Furuya was a very pretty young lady. 'nothing can harm me if i take good care of my friends!' she always told herself.
And sure enough, all of her enemies came tumbling down with ease as she conquered each and every one of her victories.
One day however, the pretty lady looked around after receiving her biggest achievement in life to commemorate with her friends, only to realize none of her friends were actually there anymore.
'Waaah! Waaah!' she cried to herself 'Where did they go? Werent they here just a minute ago? I want to show them my prize!'
She looked as hard as she could to find her friends only to never see them again. she felt bummed about it for many years, but after that, the pretty lady unfortunately turned into a sad, bitter shell of her former self."

You ignore the natural instincts to protect your eyes and place Karma Chameleon's on Billy's body, even if Diavolo manages to gouge your eyes out, at least you will still be alive by then, right?
"A mere slave of Fate will never defeat an immortal emperor such as myself!" A single punch from King Crimson was more than enough to utterly break the lower row of Karma Chameleon's arms, severing them out of the dancer's body.
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!" Your screams of agony were heard by Jotaro, Polnareff and Tempest, who promptly rushed to see your humiliating torture by the hands of Diavolo.
"You are too weak to overcome Fate, As long as you haven't evolved enough to overcome reality itself, you will forever be blinded by your results!" The Crimson Emperor stated before squashing both your eyes with a single chop to the head, making your shrieks of pain echo throughout the entire beach.
"HITOMI!" Jotaro leaped with his guarded stand on top of Diavolo, trying to give him a body slam as his anger ignored any sort of logic.

However, the blind attack turned out to be completely ineffective when a single punch from Diavolo was enough to blow him back to the edge of the cliff, where Jotaro hanged onto dear life as he recovered from the attack.
"B-Billy-- J-Jotaro-- I am so sorry--" Is all you can say before dropping to the floor, fainting from the shock after Diavolo dropped you from your chokehold.
"Her injuries are not deep enough for her to die yet, however the shock will give me plenty of time to crush her neck!" King Crimson raised his foot to your unconscious body, ready to end your life.
"I can't take this anymore! DIE DIAVOLO!" Polnareff shoots his sword at the fiend, forcing him to erase time.
Noticing the slight changes on the environment, Polnareff was able to perceive how Diavolo was able to teleport with ease while skipping ahead of time.
"He's not just erasing time... He is altering fate itself to his bidding!" Polnareff turned around him, predicting a blow from Diavolo, only for King Crimson to erase himself once more before landing a strike on Polnareff's left leg, completely tearing the ligaments and essentially destroying any use of Jean's member.
"My stamina is almost at it's limit..." Diavolo starts panting. "But one of you is already dead, the savior over there is down, Jotaro has fallen from the cliff, and the other woman is too scared to even move. Jean Pierre Polnareff, you are next!"
"Trying his damndest to pull the arrow from his pocket before the pain started to kick in, Polnareff flashed the beetle artifact in front of Diavolo, hoping to stall him while Tempest counted Diavolo's timer by looking at the camcorder.

"59...60...61..." Tempest prayed to all possible gods listening, hoping the loophole from Final Countdown would be successful in killing Diavolo for good regardless of his ability.

>>2554241
If you or your stand loses a body part, the damage is shared between both. Rip Hitomi's eyes for a while at least.

Can't say I'm extremely worried really. I mean, even if Karma Chameleon alone can't fix it, which it might be able to do anyways, we could probably just find Giorno or Josuke and get them to do it for us. Plus we've got Hamon, so we're in more a Daredevil situation then anything.

>>
>>2554359
>Heaven and Pillar Woman shenanigans, which ones are you more interested in? Just curious.

Yes.

As was explained in the Starcraft series, purity of form and purity of essence is required to achieve perfection.
>>
>>2554375

That is to say, both seem pretty fucking awesome.
>>
>>2554359
I'm not as interested in becoming a pillar woman as much as I am trying the trick with using karma's ability to combine two different types of things to become a perfect human. Cells that can perform every other function of every other cell in the body and whatnot.
Don't get me wrong, pillar men are cool, I just think it could be more interesting to go our own route. Especially one that doesn't require the rejection of our humanity and becoming a dickhead like the undead typically are.
>>
>>2554391
Isn't the 'every cell can be every cell' thing also part of the Pillar Woman route? It's just a question of if we should ever take that final step.
>>
>>2554403
Nah, it's distinctly different.
Pillar woman implies we've replaced our cells with that of a pillar man's.
This would be remaining 100% human, just...you know. Improving what it IS to be human. Drastically.
If Kars was a Perfect pillarman, this would be a Perfect human.
>>
>>2554359
The answer is yes.
Having a cell that can emulate every other cell is a route to take, possibly through studying pillarmen cells, and once that is accomplished onto heaven so that mistakes can be rectified. All harm shall be based behind heavens gate, and the law of Karma will be fulfilled by taking us out of the cycle of suffering.

Before, it was joke talk, but after this? No, we can't just leave the possibility aside. We NEED it.
>>
>>2554391
But pillarmens aren't undead. They were just too powerhungry. And Santana was a child rased by maniacs.
>>
>>2554359
I'd prefer heaven, and as much as I like the idea of Hitomi reaching Heaven or becoming a Pillar, shit gives me nightmares that she might become a villain in one of the future parts.
>>
>>2554391
Honestly Jojolion's Rock Humans sound very similar to that concept. That gives me plenty to work with but I'll think about how it will go down when we get around part 4
>>
>>2554425
Semantics. They have the same traits as Vampires, ramped up to 11. Even the same weakness to hamon and sunlight. Even if they aren't truly "undead", it's safe to consider them that.
>>
>>2554468
I don't really see a lot of similarities, but then again I'm only looking at the wiki. I haven't read jojolion.
>>
>>2554372

I dunno about that. He was (or still is) the Ultimate Lifeform. He was objectively superior to both human and Pillar Man at that point.

The question here is whether humans can also become an Ultimate Life Form, or if there's some other completely different track that works for humans to achieve a similar or different type of power.
>>
>>2554503
And like him we will be chained to a Door rock for all eternity until someone save us.

So, like, I'm actually pretty optimistic about how this fight will go down, but... The stakes are TOO against Diavolo, ya hear? I think good old Duster will either pop out the arrow in Diavolo's favor, or a Passione member will ambush us.

Right, I keep forgetting to update this thing, have a look:
Stand Name: Karma Chameleon
Destructive Power: B (Base)
Speed: B (Losing her lower arms won't affect her speed)
Range: C (5 Meters)
Durability: C (Base)
Precision: A
Development Potential: E
Consider Karma Chameleon maxed out in terms of EXP after King Crimson
>>
>>2556943
will she ever get those arms back?
>>
>>2556943
Huh
Weren't we at Development Potential B before? Did getting precision to A and knocking durability to C still cost that much?
I don't really know how development potential works that well, though, admittedly. It might be referencing familiarity with the special ability more than stand stats.
>>
>>2556954
She probably will, I'd think. Stands seems to more or less recover from most damage after a while, provided the user isn't permanently damaged in the same way.

Both her and Jotaro have been practicing fairly regularly for 6 years, the E is to emphasize how she has already mastered Karma Chameleon in combat experience. Also don't take stand stats too seriously, Araki made that mostly to give their readers an idea of what a stand can or cannot do with no trouble so it's not really word of god.
>>2556954

Aside from Diavolo being a heartless psycopath it's not impossible for stands to take permanent damage, Some iterations of Golden Wind's Silver Chariot are drawn with two pointy stubbles instead of having regular feet after meeting Diavolo, it's likely another case of the author being forgetful. Since Karma isn't able to absorb her default state as it just works as a reset button for her ability plus Hitomi being blacked out while her arms fell off mending just isn't exactly manageable.
>>2557080
Up to her elbows.
>>
>>2557122
Isn't that due to Polnareff's body having lost his legs? As is stands now, since Karma Chameleion's second pair of arms aren't tied to her physical arms, They should recover, shouldn't they?
>>
>>2557122
Why would crazy diamond be unable to fix it though?

Behold, part 4 Hitomi. She never asked for this.
>>
y'all acting like her physical arms are gone

no way, they're just broken, it's one set of karma's hands that fell off
>>
>>2557140
They shouldn't change how her real arms work, but she still feels pain when damage is inflicted on her extra arms. She will be perfectly functional after the fight but Karma will lose the Ashura aesthetic.
>>2557192
Hard to say since Crazy Diamond is really inconsistent so maybe, if not there's always Gold Experience
>>
>>2557260
I don't know, I've seen stands far more inconsistent. I guess it's just an Araki thing.
Theoretically, he SHOULD be able to manage it since the power is just "reverting things to a previous state".
Crazy Diamond is actually the best stand to use against Ultimate Hitomi for that reason.
>>
>>2557260
But a stand is the soul though and sort of a reflection of the body. If there is not permanent damage to the body, the stand should recover.
>>
>>2557291
You could interpret it as Diavolo's assault having a lasting effect on her soul.
>>
>>2557345
Ehhh, kind of shaky to me
As long as we didn't lose a bodypart that corresponds to something, I'd think it'd come back eventually, though certainly not quickly
>>
>>2557345
But permanent Damage?
I can see the arms being useless for the fight, or taking a while to reform.
Don't even have to reform perfectly. Can have scars to show they were broken, like having the marble held together with some other stuff like the Japanese gold pottery.
>>
>>2557433

Maybe some kind of lasting spiritual trauma? The kind that breaks a man or encourages one to aspire to heights never seen before.
>>
>>2557447
Again, not permanent when considering future workarounds. Since this is the last major battle before DiU she clearly won't be crippled for life.
>>
>>2557747
Yeah, but "non permenant because someone else at some point can fix it" and "not permanent because it heals given time" are 2 different things

>>
Thinking back to point about Karma losing her bottom arms, is there much precedent to permanent stand damage that doesn't affect the user? I mean, there are six Sex Pistols but they're numbered up to 7, but that could be a reflection of Mista fear of the number 4 affected how his stand manifested.

Do we ever see RHCP again after his 'swim'? I mean, when Akira finally got on the boat Chili Pepper was a decayed Stand Skeleton at that point and he was fine, but i don't think we ever see Chili Pepper again to confirm whether or not that damage was permanent, of course, Chili Pepper can also regenerate upon contact with electricity, so that too is likely a moot point.

>Karma loses her arms
Huh totally missed that in the chaos of Hitomi being blinded. I like the interpretation that they're missing because of the psychological scars that Diavolo inflicted (EVEN FOUR HANDS WEREN'T ENOUGH TO SAVE BILLY!) - might make for a great moment in part 5 if her facing her demons head on cause them to grow back or something.

>Hitomi's eyes
Honestly we can just chill until we meet Josuke...except that didn't Dust drop hints that the Crusaders staking killing off DIO earlier that scheduled would affect Crazy Diamond's powers? In that case its either fixing them herself or leaving it to Gold Experience (the irony that DIO made Hitomi what she is in the first place, and then its up to his son to restore her to that state).

>>2559910
If Karma can bullshit open heart surgery when then she can regrow eyes.
>>
>>2559873
Would losing the two lower Karma arms mean permanent injury to Hitomi livers or losing some ribs?
>>
>>2559731
There is the colony stands like Bad company and the fat kids bees, where they could lose some without dying. But I'm fairly certain after a bit the destroyed individuals come back as the wounds caused by their death heal
>>
>>2559967

Probably just some phantom pain or as other anons have suggested, psychological trauma.

Or maybe Hitomi had two extra vestigial arms that she never knew about until they got smashed?

"The stand arrow? So the woman I've sold them to wants to know more about me..." Diavolo gave a wrong guess as he composed himself, intrigued in finding some closure before murdering Polnareff. "How did you get involved with Enya?"
"Enya has been dead for over 5 years you retard!" Paying no mind to the nightmare of a situation he found himself in, Polnareff's brave soul encouraged him to talk to the ridiculously powerful foe as his equal. "I've been searching them for what seems like an eternity to me, Now that you've spilled just what I needed to hear, it's time to turn the tides on this madness of a fight!"
"Growing cocky, aren't we? And what exactly made you think that way? Could it be that the blood loss coupled with the death of your comrades were enough to drive you insane? Even with Epitaph being prohibited from utilizing it's precognition, you have no means of countering King Crimson." Diavolo doubted Polnareff's capabilities, seeing him helplessly struggle to face him with his mangled leg.
"That's where you're mistaken... You said you were running out of energy, correct?" Polnareff menacingly glared at Diavolo. "We might not be able to erase time like you, but if exhaustion is starting to weigh you down, that's where Silver Chariot can get it's upper hands on King Crimson! Even without my sword, the speed improvement I have from removing his armor plating gives me ample agility to hit you before you can even react! I will not falter, Diavolo! We will win!"

Jean's bluffs were sufficient to distract Diavolo from ensuing his slaughter, yet it was clear to Tempest that Polnareff was lying through his teeth, the tenacity being but a mere farce to suspend Diavolo's mind off Hitomi and the missing Jotaro. He had no way of knowing who would be the victor until the last minute, he could only hope that his secondary plan would be clever enough to work.
"A long time ago, Prince told me that piercing your stand with the arrow head made a bright light emanate from your soul, if I can blind Diavolo with the flash, I will buy more time for Final Countdown. Please Chariot, I've trained you for all my life, don't let me down!" Polnareff thought to himself before acting on his instincts.

"Take this, Diavolo!" Silver Chariot appeared in front of his user, ready to defend his life at all costs.
Polnareff's stand was able to dodge one of King Crimson's regular punch by strafing backwards, tripping straight into the arrow Polnareff was holding.
"This is the end Polnareff, try as you might, your soul has not evolved enough to face King Crimson." Diavolo begins to charge his time erasure ability while Polnareff panicked, terrified of his death. "DIE!"
"NO! I WON'T LET YOU ERASE TIME! I WON'T STAND FOR IT!" Polnareff's pleads were ignored as the vision within Epitaph started to form again, with reality itself being tinted red by King Crimson's point of view.
"At last, I'll be able to take the arrow from-- GAH!" King Crimson's ability is interrupted as a sound of shattering glass was heard from Silver Chariot, who was still transforming in the previously erased time. "WHAT? INPOSSIBLE! POLNAREFF WAS ABLE TO CANCEL BOTH EPITAPH AND KING CRIMSON'S POWERS? HOW?"

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nFaOKapigA8
The body of the previously silvery stand darkened into a blackish hue, his helmet along with parts of his armor being replaced by a large hat folded over it's top and several large rings serving as replacement for his shoulder pads.
"What...happened? Chariot?" The confused frenchman had no clue on what caused his sudden metamorphosis, what happened to Silver Chariot's sword? His amazing speed? His unmatched force?
"TIME HAS BEEN ERASED--" Diavolo once again attempted to trigger his move, but the ear shattering sound was once again heard by the mob boss, signaling the cancelation of time's erasure. "NO! WHY CANT I ERASE TIME? KING CRIMSON IS NOT EVEN COMING OUT!"
"Silence." The black stand spoke up. "Your stand has been silenced as punishment for attacking Silver Chariot Requiem. Your ability to erase time will not harm any of these people anymore. Silence is what you deserve for inflicting suffering on both me and Jean Pierre Polnareff. The supreme defensive ability exists solely to automatically prevent misfortune, which trumps over King Crimson by a large margin."
"Wh-what? I never said that! What are you talking about, Chariot?" Polnareff was flabbergasted by the power of his transformed guardian. "Are you saying you are able to cancel King Crimson?"
"Such is the fate of those who try to escape their fate. No matter how much you try to alter the events of this universe, Requiem will always negate your actions by returning you to null. Prohibition is what you receive for acting against this world's orders!"

"Null? Prohibition? Never! King Crimson's immortal reign will never cease!" Diavolo charges to the dark stand in front of him.
"Even if I don't deny you again, your time is already up."

"Tempest!" Polnareff picked up the hint from Silver Chariot Requiem, signaling Tempest to activate her stand.
"FINAL COUNTDOWN!" The dial on Diavolo's forehead went from 90 to 0 in instantaneously, an echoing sound of an alarm clock forcing his body to stop functioning, first his heart, followed then his lungs, then lastly by his brain.
Unlike the rest of his victims, the criminal's death was silent, quick and painless. ending his life before he could process what hit him.

>November 11th, 1994.
>Stand Users: Diavolo and Billy Idol.

>Status: Utterly defeated, dead.

"I... Made it?" Polnareff witnessed his stand turning back to normal after dropping the arrow, still trying to understand what the hell occurred in the past 5 minutes.
Diavolo's body was lying on the ground, the bloody snow covering his body.
Tempest had a blank, thousand yard stare on her tear filled face, mourning the disfigured corpse of her husband.
Next to him was Hitomi, bleeding from her eyes and mildly twitching.
Jotaro was still nowhere to be found.
"AAAH!" Polnareff tried to stand up, but his bleeding mush of a left leg halted his movement. "Give me a hand here Chariot-- Requiem-- Whatever you are..."
His default stand picked up the arrow one more time, placing Polnareff's arms around the stand's shoulder to help him limp to his destination.

If DIO acted more like Dio Brando, he might have taken out a crusader or two before biting it.

If he'd set up an ambush for the gang after separating them via D'arby and coordinated with Vanilla Ice + zombies, it would have been a tall order for half the group to handle the zombified illusion stand user guy with his minions with Vanilla Ice ready to pounce with Cream. To say nothing if Dio had just attacked all at once with his personal guard.

But Enya massaged Dio's ego to dangerous levels, which made him very cocky.

"POLNAREFF!" Jotaro's shout was heard by the edge of the cliff, coughing some blood before pulling his torso up to ground level.
"Jotaro! I got you man!" Polnareff skipped over to Jotaro's location, pulling him up by sitting down in the snow and using Silver Chariot.
"Thanks, is Hitomi-- What happened to your leg!?" Jotaro spotted Polnareff bleeding out on the terrain by Diavolo's cruel injury.
"King Crimson chopped it off, we need an ambulance fast!" Polnareff said, resting on the ground in order to not waste his energy. "The arrow evolved Chariot into a new form and said something about Fate while silencing Diavolo... I'm not really into philosophy so I didn't get what was at stake, I'll need to reanalyse my research when this is over..."
"Is Diavolo dead?"
"Final Countdown worked on him just fine, you should go over there and crush his heart or something just to be sure--"

"TURURURURURURU~" Diavolo's body suddenly shifted into younger, softer version of itself, changing his hairstyle and putting a sweatshirt on, he rustled inside his pocket for a detatched phone and started making ringing noises.
"Boss? What happened, are you there? Boss? Hello? Boss!" the confused man ''hangs up'', baffled by the line being cut. "Weird, the boss never hanged up without warning me first, did he change locations again? Oh well..."
"WHAT THE FUCK! I THOUGHT YOU WERE DEAD!" Polnareff screeched at Diavolo's double, who looked puzzled in the crippled man's direction.
"That's strange, the boss didn't dispatch me in a mission either. Who are you people?"
"I think I can explain what's happening." A hooded man approached the trio from the snow, inclined to clarify the matter at hand. "So you did defeat the Boss huh? It's hard to believe the fucker's actually gone... But I figured it should be benefitial for my group."
"Who are you?" Star Platinum appeared to fight for the injured Jotaro.
"Relax, if I was sent here to kill you I would have done it already." The thug brushes off the intimidation tactic. "My name is Risotto Nero, I am the leader of La Squadra di Esecuzione, an assassination team created by Diavolo at the beggining of the year to do his bidding. We are beyond underpaid and neglected by other members of the gang aside from not having any areas to work with. Diavolo sent us here to help him out on this fight, but it turns out he tried to bite off more than he could chew."
"What do you mean the boss died? I was with him just a minute ago over by the phone! TURURURURURU" Diavolo's split personality said, still trying to contact himself.
>>
>>2560508
"I'll be honest with you: Now that Diavolo is gone, La Esquadra has the perfect opportunity to rise up, and I'm sure not letting that freak take care of the mob" Nero points to Diavolo's split personality.
"And what makes you think we'll just let that happen? You will still run a mafia that sells drugs to kids!" Polnareff replied.
"Your full name is Jean Pierre Polnareff, correct? You live in Egypt with your wife Malena Polnareff and your 5 year old son Michel." Risotto stared down at Polnareff, revealing personal information. "La Squadra was the one tracking you down, but I don't hold any grudges for any of you for killing the Boss, if anything I should be applauding you for doing the job for me. So how about making a truce, you let me and Doppio over there go, and I'll call an ambulance to treat your wounds? I'll stop messing with your private data so you're all able to go home. What do you say?
"After you killed Billy!? Do you really think we'll just turn a blind eye to Passione?" Tempest hissed, ready to mark Risotto with Final Countdown.
"I am not asking you to forgive us, but Passione isn't a single person, there are several divisions of it spread throughout all of Italy, all with different goals and ideals. The only thing that kept it going was Diavolo's presence looming over us 24/7, with him gone I'll turn this into a respectful mafia gang. What do you say? It's a good price to pay for leaving this place with some dignity and I doubt two of you have too much time to wait for an ambulance."

"What do you mean by being respectful?" Jotaro asks.
"Running things my way, of course. None of this petty drama between members the same mafia, Passione shall thrive with it's new commander and continue it's lawful reign over Italy. No goal about being immortal or increasing reputation, order comes first."
"So you're still doing exactly what Diavolo did before, only better? I should be killing you right now..." Tempest sounds unconvinced.
"Listen Tempest, like it or not we only came here for the arrow, getting involved in gang fights is the last thing we should do right now, especially if he's giving us a chance to escape." Polnareff says. "I know you're angry about Billy as you have every right to be, but being agressive will only make more victims" Polnareff shows his leg and Jotaro finds his wife laying next to the car, to which he runs towards so he could see how hard did Diavolo hit her.
"Arrows? I heard Polpo is the one who uses it to recruit newcomers into Passione so it's going to be difficult to snatch it from him. But I'll contact you if I manage to convince him. No need to give me a number, I'll find a way." Risotto says, still waiting for an answer.
"Fine...This sounds pretty bad but we don't have what it takes to fight Passione as we are now. As much as I hate what you're all doing, I'm not in any shape to stop you, as long as you keep your word about the arrow, we'll accept your deal." Polnareff sighs.
"Smart man. Since you're out of any human contact for the next 2 miles, the ambulance should take around 20 minutes to arrive." Nero signals his orders on a walkie-talkie. "It's been a pleasure, Polnareff. Come on Doppio, I'll find a use for you somewhere in La Squadra."

"What Squadra?" Doppio blindly follows Risotto, despite his past self being killed the childish man seems completely oblivious to that fact.
...
"Mr. Kujo... I don't think I want to work for the Foundation anymore..." Tempest stops Jotaro from entering Hitomi's room to discuss an important topic.
"Hm?"
"Billy and I were always fighting and throwing insults at each other, but the truth is that I never got to say that I loved him as much as I wish I did, and now that the ambulance said that he didn't resist... I don't want to keep working with paranormal activities, It's just going to remind me of him again... I wasn't sure I would have the courage to leave my job like that, but after seeing Diavolo's double escape, something pushed me to give up. Can I please, PLEASE leave my job here?"

>Are you sure you won't reconsider? Your stand is a valuable asset to the Foundation.

"That's understandable. It's been an honor working with you, Tempest. We have you covered if you feel like seeking a professional. Losing a person this close to you can't be easy." Jotaro shows her some compassion, relating with Tempest to an extent.
"I cannot thank you enough for this Mr. Kujo..." Tempest expresses her gratitude, despite still looking pretty depressed, "I am aware that stand users are attracted to each other, but Final Countdown should be able to take care of me if trouble comes my way. Farewell..."
And with that, the worker dropped her Speedwagon Foundation cap on her seat, exiting the hospital without speaking a single word.

...
"How bad is it Jotaro?" You meekly ask your husband about your injuries, afraid of knowing the answer.
"The doctors said both your zygomatic bones were fractured by the attack, damaging your eyeballs to the point where no amount of surgery could fix it. Your face should go back to normal in a few weeks but..." Jotaro tries to see the good part about his news, but stops his speech after realizing there is no good way of approaching this, your eyes are beyond medical repair.
"Do you think I can fix it with Karma Chameleon? I've fixed a lot of tissues on injured people's bodies back when I did battlefield medicine, I'm not sure I'm at the point of fixing something as complex as the human eye without seeing anything for reference, but I maybe..." You hopefully wish for an easy solution.
"Do it." You feel Jotaro's breath closer to yours, probably to give you a reference on where his eyes are.
"Jotaro, that's impossible, my stand doesn't even have her lower arms anymore--"
"We've both done several 'impossible' things in our lives, words like impossible or useless should have no meaning to us by now, if there's a chance to fix your eyes, We need to try our best to fix them. You can use my eyes as a base line if it helps." Jotaro encourages you to fix yourself, hoping to solve your problem and consequently relieve you of your angst.
"I'll try..." You respond, drained of confidence after all the pain you went through. Summoning Karma Chameleon and placing her two hands on both your eye sockets, you patiently wait for the dancer to finish her operation.

It's not so much as KC being able to see as much as it is being able to have Hitomi see so KC can act accordingly.

Though Araki can be inconsistent, remember that Polnareff can't direct his stand unless he can see the target directly. It probably works the same way here; we can probably get KC to copy someone's eyes and then somehow interface with Hitomi's brain in the right places, but we'd need someone to direct KC to the right places in the brain or ocular nerve to do so. Star Platinum is a good candidate, but does Jotaro know human anatomy well enough to help out with that?

And if KC needs to revert for whatever reason, Hitomi will need to repeat the process all over again. It's theoretically sound, but potentially very unwieldy.
>>
>>2560856
He might know dolphin anatomy well enough. mammal eyes are pretty similiar over all. Plus star platinum is super precise, so that might be useful.

Readjusting your cheekbones, you reconstruct the deflated eyeballs on your sockets, removing the scarring and making your face look exactly as it was before.
Jotaro warmly smiled after seeing you could still heal your surface level injuries, but your next line would leave him devastated.
"Jotaro, why aren't my eyes opening?" You ask after cupping your face, feeling everything in order.
"..."
"Jotaro, I'm serious! I still can't see, are my eyes closed or what?"
"..."
"Answer me! This is important--"
"They're already open, Hitomi..."

That exact quote was painful to hear. More painful than getting stabbed in the stomach by DIO, more painful than having an oil tanker dropped on your arms, and certainly more painful than whatever Diavolo inflicted upon you.
Your stand has finally found it's limit, there really is something Karma Chameleon's absorption jewels can't restore. Luckily for you, your new tear ducts were durable enough to withstand you crying your eyes out for the next hour and a half.
Really, how couldn't you cry after this fake hope your stand gave you? You'll never be able to see Jolyne growing into a mature, beautiful woman. You'll never see your husband drift to sleep again after a passionate night of lovemaking, your work with the Foundation will be severely brought down to a level where you can act without being limited by your lack of sight. This is too much!
"Hitomi, I'm sorry." Jotaro lays down on your hospital bed, feeling terrible by proxy. "It was my fault, I was stupid to jump on King Crimson knowing he could erase time."
"Don't say that Jotaro... Deep down, I know this was not your fault." Even after such losses, you didn't want to shift the blame onto Jotaro when he was also suffering to see you this way.

When you do a fault analysis, there’s no point
in assigning fault to a part of the system you can’t change afterward,it’s like stepping off a cliff and blaming gravity. Gravity isn’t going to
change next time. There’s no point in trying to allocate responsibility to people who aren’t going to alter their actions. Once you look at it from that perspective, you realize that allocating blame never helps anything
unless you blame yourself, because you’re the only one whose actions you can change by putting blame there. So yeah, it wasn't Diavolo's fault from Hitomi's perspective,

"It was Diavolo's fault, Jotaro. You know it." You temporarily quit your sobbing. "If you want to blame someone on our team, you could just blame me for trying to--"
"Stop, I know where you're going with this." Jotaro holds you still, laying his head on your shoulder. "Ever since day one you've had this attitude of bending over backwards for people because it was the right thing to do, and while I always respected your decisions, I was very vocal about the fact that you push yourself way too hard to help others, and the one time things don't work out you beat yourself over it for an unhealthy amount of time. Yet you're not seeing me putting the blame on you."
"Jotaro..."
"Don't make this any more painful than it needs to be, Hitomi. Knowing your mindset of regretting past mistakes you'll be cursing yourself for weeks for not saving Billy, but you need to understand that some events are out of our control, we can't be at our 100% at every possible moment, nor can we save everyone we know from all of the trouble in the world. We've talked a while ago on how you're scared of letting people down, so I'll repeat this again: We-- I, love you. You don't need to prove your worth when we already know you're one of the strongest women alive. Both physically and mentally."
"You feel a wet drop on your shoulder, although Jotaro's tone of voice was still firm and heavy. After dating him for 4 years and being married for 2, you have yet to see him cry once on his life.
But your eyes are not working, so if you have no visual proof of Jotaro sobbing, then he did not do it...

You stayed on the hospital for the rest of the week, emotionally recovering with your husband before saying goodbye to Polnareff and going back to Japan.
"Hey... I've heard about what happened back in Italy..." Kakyoin greeted you after your arrival.
"I've been trying to use Karma to help me out. It's not an alternate solution but I can still appear to be functional for anyone who hasn't heard the news." You use your stand to walk a few steps in front of you, scouting out the place before walking like any other person would.
"I see... Jolyne just woke up if you want to talk to her. She's missed you a lot." Kakyoin points to her bedroom.

"How did she behave? Did she cause you too much trouble?" You asked Kakyoin.
"Ah, I can't say I was the most experienced babysitter, I'm sorry for asking you so many questions on the trip by the way. Aside from her crying when she remembered you and Jotaro weren't around, I think she liked having me around.
"Really?"
"Yeah, she only got to say my name after the first 2 days, but since her vocabulary can't be bigger than 200 words. I'm happy to see her learning my name so fast."
"Right, here's the money for the keyboard." You handed him a 10.000 yen note.
"Come on, you didn't need to pay me for it! It happens, you know? I was too distracted watching TV to see where her juice box was." Kakyoin laughed at his own clumsiness.
"Thank you for the help Kakyoin. Hopefully your talks about video games didn't permanently put her to sleep." Jotaro waves goodbye before Kakyoin got on his motorcycle.
"Anytime. I'll see what the Foundation can do about the thing you mentioned when I get back home." Kakyoin refers to the research you started on cell regeneration, hoping they could find an alternative healing method for your eyes, along with several other medical benefits.

Entering your house, you see Jolyne watching a brand new episode of Tama and Friends down by the couch, but the kid soon clasps her hands together after seeing you arrive.
"Mama! Mama is back!" You feel her snuggling your thigh when you sit down. "Where?"
"Mama had to take care of work again after a while sweetie, sorry to keep you waiting." You pick her up on your arms and snuggle her back. "What do you wanna do today?"
"Hide-and-seek! Hide-and-seek!" Jolyne raised her arms up, gesturing what kind of game she would like to play.

"Eight...Nine...Ten! Here I come!" You uncover your eyes, pretending not to hear Jolyne's giggling somewhere in the living room. Granted, finding her now is going to be ten times harder than previously, but whatever. You can ignore that if it's for some lighthearted game with your kid.
"Hmmm, now where could that girl be? It's so hard to look for her in a place like this!" You use your acting skills to pretend your daughter is great at hiding, when in fact you are just using Karma Chameleon to walk around the room before you.
"Owie!" You felt your stand stepping on Jolyne's leg under the carpet, which made her start bawling from the scare while you were just playing a game.
"What happened?" Jotaro walks out of the kitchen, noodles in hand watching you rush to the carpet to stop Jolyne's tantrum.
"Waaah! Mama stepped on me! Why would Mama do that? Waaah!" Jolyne whines, oblivious to your lack of vision.
Damn, it all came back to this again!

"She keeps cheating too! She didn't say anything about a gray woman joining the game! It's just like Kakyoin playing tag!"
"Wh-What was that last part?" Jotaro asked, not expecting Jolyne to mention Karma. "Is she able to see your stand just like my mother?"
You knew you would have to explain Jolyne about stands eventually, you just didn't think it would be this soon. Being the offspring of two stand users meant having one herself was inevitable, but could a kid her age actually be able to control a stand?

"That was a Stand, Jolyne. Have you seen anything like it before?" You ask Jolyne.
"No! She looks all scary and her hands are missing! I don't like it!" Jolyne trash-talks your stand, feeling threatened by Karma's figure.
"She's just been helping me look around, sweetie. Mama can't see very well and just accidentally stepped on you..." You try to justify your actions to your daughter, but her last comment made you feel ashamed of your condition...
"The gray woman is your mom Jolyne, but on another body." Jotaro tries to simplify the concept of a stand in a way a toddler like her could understand.

"Other Mama? So I have 2 Mamas and 2 Papas now?" Jolyne's head perks up after hearing her father's explanation, which sounded a lot more fun in her head. "Cool! Can we have 2 Jolynes too?"
"Maybe, I'm not sure..." You reply, not knowing how a stand is naturally supposed to come out of her body if Holly didn't manage to do so.
"How does Jolyne 2 look? Can Mama 2 talk to me? Does Mama 2 and Papa 2 have their own house? Where did they come from?" Jolyne starts bombarding the both of you with questions, probably the most annoying habit kids have at that age.
"Good grief... I am one time stop away from yanking a stand out of her... Go through on at a time." Star Platinum places two fingers on Jolyne's lips, shushing her before placing her back on the couch.

...
"Now, any questions?" You ask after finishing the stand interview with reporter Jolyne Kujo.
"Can Jolyne apologize for being rude to Mama 2? If she is a part of Mama 1, that meant I called them both ugly! But both Mamas are pretty and I love them a lot!" Jolyne's innocent babbling warms your heart, even if she doesn't know why you "can't see very well".
"We love you a lot too!" You, Karma, Jotaro and Star P gather up for a quadruple hug, glad to know the newest member in your family still loved and accepted you for what you were.
Yeah, it might take you a few months to get used to your blindness, but even if the Speedwagon Foundation turns out to be unable to fix your eyes, the support from everyone else will be plentiful. Between helping you in tough times to cherishing your happiness on easier times, Jolyne was near essential for you to get back into your job at the beginning of 1995.

Risotto Nero is now the leader of Passione, the few members who disagreed with his guidance either left out of fear or gave up on the mafia after seeing Doppio being kept as the new boss's trophy prize. Europe's crime rate started to stagnate as a result of Nero not being as power hungry, segregating to ceirtan areas of Italy, France and Austria only. Despite all of that he still hasn't contacted Polnareff on the stand arrow, meaning they'll pay him a visit when they discover about Haruno Shiobana.

Diavolo fight was definitely the high point of 3.5, specifically the way Pol stepped the fuck up, might be recency bias but that shit was awesome and probably one of the best moments in this quest.

Kakyoin almost getting killed if that one dice was a second late was the most hilarious part, along with the sheer panic people had when they thought hitomi was being a bad parent.

Low point is Hitomi's relatively meh performance against Diavolo, and schizo man basically destroying Hitomi's version of UNDER PRESSURE for this entire thread.

Really hyped for Morioh, hopefully unlocking Josuke's Hamon Potential to make him even more broken, the opportunity to punch Rohan in the face just once for shit and giggles, and for us to get TPK'd by David Bowie after surviving fucking Diavolo.

Gimmick to use against killer queen: turn karma chameleon into a very powerful explosive and tell him there's no way he also survives if we blow up
>>
...Its sorta hitting me, that using Karma to move around in Morioh is pretty dangerous, we may want to actually get a cane...

All it takes is one 'nice young man' to offer to help us across the street, and really whether we take the offer or not, we really have no control at that point, particularly if that nice young man has 'already touched us'.

Also, a cane is not a half bad cqc weapon, sure its just a heavy stick to wave around, literally blindly, but its better than relying soully on karma
>>

How so? Josuke is nice enough to offer to fix our eyes himself if we befriend him - the only way to totally fuck it up is if both Hitomi and Jotaro super antagonise Josuke beforehand. And since Hitomi is blind she's unlikely to insult his hair.
>>
>>2563246

Also, the closest thing to "stand getting damaged without the user being physically injured is either Silver Chariot's armour or Born This Way, but for both of those, each new use of the stand refreshes it.
So the broken arms staying broken seems out of place.

>cybernetic eye as possible fixes.
May fuck with our hamon. Also Ultimate lifeform can just regenerate her eyes.
>Hitomi is blind she's unlikely to insult his hair.
>Hitomy pat Youske on the head
>Is it hair or is it steak?
>>
>>2563271
well that's your opinion man. though I hope you don't start shitting up threads because of this
>>
>>2563284

josuke is jotaros half brother so he is family, hitomi doesnt seem the type to say anything even remotly unfriendly when meeting family
>>
>>2563289
Josuke is Jotaro's Uncle, but yeah Hitomi is just too nice.
>>
>>2563291

ah, the jotaro family tree is to confusing, i just wanna see big men hit each other with spirits and weird powers
>>
>>2563294
Those Joestars are a damn menace! Everywhere they go, something happens. I say they need to be stopped, dammit!

Blame Joseph for being a sexy beast and seducing a lady decades younger then him.

I've stated before how this fight would be a lot less fair and more punishing in the previous threads when it ended up happening. King Crimson is a broken mess of a stand that required me to combine 2 requiem stands into one along with a Death Note knockoff to defeat him. Tbh I'm surprised this thread wasn't a complete mess.
While I understand that you may be upset you'll have to admit that it could have been a lot worse. I don't think it bares repeating since other anons have mentioned too but none of these are permanent.
>>2563271
Several Stands have ignored previous concepts before for rule of cool, I don't see why something like that couldn't happen to signify a low point in Hitomi's life.

>>2563172
There are temporary workarounds for her blindness, she's already using Karma as something of a crutch and going full Toph Beifong with Hamon isn't that far fetched. Leaving Hitomi alone in Morioh will have a chance of her being harassed by Kira, but Bowie's too methodical to ruin his quiet life for any random woman he finds hanging around by herself. He'll know when and how to approach her if it happens.
>>
>>2563405

hah, Jameson and his stand NEWS OF THE WORLD
>>
>>2563537
I really think blind hitomi is a cool story twist. Along with lost arms and the feeling of failure it could be a strong motivator to achieve heaven/pillar woman
Imagine the scene when Ultimate Hitomi happens and she regains her sight again
>>
>>2563537
I really liked the blind twist. It gave a bittersweet fell to the sory in a way we hadnt experienced so far(except when Iggy died).
So will the mob return the arrow anytime soon or will Polnaref and Avdol need to pay a visit to them?

Chances are someone's going with Koichi to Italy

Dust, if something, I felt that the fight with Diavolo was not punishing enough, hell, I am actually unhappy about having derailed Part 5 so badly, I was actually hoping that Diavolo would somehow make it out of the battle alive but without completely wiping us out.
>>
>>2564556
I feel like La Squadra is still going to be something that Giorno wants to clean up. Their main reason for rebelling against Diavolo was not being able to sell drugs, which was Giorno's original reason for wanting to take Diavolo down. He may even have a harder time gaining allies since Nero isn't a massively paranoid fuck like Diavolo and will have truly loyal allies.
>>
>>2564556
Really Silver Chariot Requiem was the turning point of the fight, Schizoid Man had already killed Billy, tortured Hitomi, knocked Jotaro out of the fight and chopped off Polnareff's leg.Despite not being afraid of punishing players myself the rolls and options chosen were never bad enough to the point where I would say "Yeah this guy's dead." This was as close to a party wipe so far in the game since failing the arrow test meant bye Polnareff and Tempest. Even now that you won Billy is gone, Tempest has retired, Polnareff lost his leg and Jotaro has to take care of his wife who's blind, weaker and likely depressed.

The "Giorno lied" thing might have already happened seeing how Haruno was 9 in 1994, so being a gangstar will still be part of his dream. I will admit I might need some time to think about how NuPassione will work after DiU ends.

So, is anything different in Joyline? Or is fate just laughing at us for trying to change her different?
>>
>>2566088
She's still gonna be a thot....just a sexy cosplay thot thanks to all that exposure to cool uncle kak and his vidya games in her formative years.
>>
>>2566088
Too early to do much else than speculate, even in DiU Jolyne will still be just a kid. I have no doubts that she'll be better off than in the start of part 6 though
>>
>>2566415
Okay, that pic disturbs me somehow.
My brain just sees Joyline clothes as if Jotaro skinned Iggy corpse and cut of his face.
>>
>>2563244
"One bad roll" underplays it. FIRST we made a deliberate decision to prioritize Billy over our eyes (it sucks that he still died anyway but King Crimson Broken As Fuck) and THEN we failed a roll. Frankly, permanent consequences to failing to roll to fix the consequences we voted to risk is totally fair, and indeed it's not inherently permanent.
>>
>>2568425
billy being dead is perma unless KC Requiem can bring back the dead or some shit.

So who is everyone's favorite villain?
For me, it's got to be Funny.
He gives really good speeches.
>>
>>2568824
Kars > Diavolo > Funny > Pucci > Dio > DIO
>>
>>2568824
Valentine > Kira > Dio > Pucci > Diavolo > DIO > Kars.
>>
>>2568824
Valentine > DIO > Kars > Dio > Kira > Diavolo > Pucci
Pucci’s only really at the bottom because I barely got into Stone Ocean though, and have no clue what he’s like, and Diavolo’s low because King Crimson still confuses me even if I mostly understand it.
>>
Oh yeah, how does everyone’s tier list of protagonist’s go? I think mine would be something like

Joseph > Johnny > Jolyne > Johnathan > Jotaro > Giorno > Josuke > Other Josuke
>>
>>2569112
Johnny > Josuke > Joseph > Jolyne > Jonathan > Jotaro > Giorno > Gappy.
I was one of the people that disliked Jotaro for being the edgy autist he was but this quest mellowed me out from the hate, the only one Jojo I don't like now is Jo2ke because part 8 is an absolute snorefest

Didn't Araki instantly scrap the whole "you have to look at my drawing" thing and just made him able to do it whenever he wants or am I remembering wrong
>>
>>2569982
yeah he got an upgrade because araki scraped the idea, just like josuke saving himself via time travel or some shit was also scrapped
>>
>>2568476
it's the eyes that's not inherently permanent mange
>>
>>2569129
Yeah, part 8’s been rather boring. To be fair, it’s not done quite yet, so it might get better, but as things are not!Josuke’s at the bottom of the list for me. Can’t say I’m a big fan of his supporting cast either. Yasuho or whatever her name is has one of the most I’ll defined Stands I’ve seen yet, and whathisname and his Stand Nut King Call just remind me of Okuyasu. At least the stone people are a fairly interesting idea.
