Actually, Humanity in DBZ is a lot more widespread genetically. Though, while Krillin's origin is unknown (At least as far as I know), Tien's hinted at being an alien anyways. So I'd say Krillin, since he isn't technically shown as a mutant, and if you still discount him, then yes, Yamcha is the strongest.

And no, Tien is not a mutant, nor is Krillin.
Krillin has no nose because Toriyama drew him that way, then turned what started as a quirk of design into an in-universe quirk in the Bacterion fight because early Dragon Ball was a comedy manga that happened to be about martial artists, and it was funny.
Tien has a third eye because he has, through training, "opened his third eye" in the Taoist sense. Tien and Chiaotzu's character concept is basically "China".

Last time on Saiyan Quest.

We met the low class saiyan Mizuna on the day of the Saiyan Squad Appraisal Tournament.

Given a challenge by the Prince of all Saiyans, Mizuna confidently entered the Elite division of the tournament as one of the weakest saiyans in the bracket.

Despite having one of the lowest power levels, Mizuna, managed to take on the heaviest hitting saiyan boy Spinocha with double his power level.

Using a weakness found before the tournamnet, Mizuna secured victory by grabbing Spinochas untrained tail.

However victory did not come without a cost as Mizuna was badly damaged after the fight and was transported to a rejuvenation chamber.

After exiting the rejuventaion chamber Mizuna went to meet the Prince and was sent on a solo mission to conquer the Planet Stovasa.

Quickly upon arriving on the planet Mizuna went to fight the strongest Power level he could find, The Viper King.

Barely survivng his encounter, he was left broken in the artic region of the planet where he was later saved by his companion saiyans Raditz and Parslee.

After saving their comrade Raditz and Parslee finished Mizunas mission for him while he recovered.

As they finished and were ready to report the success of the mission The Prince delivered the hallowing news that Planet Vegeta had been destroyed along with all of the saiyan race besides them.

Mizuna however quickly put together facts that led him to believe the cause of the destruction of Planet Vegeta and the loss of his people was none other than the Galactic Tyrant Frieza. Putting this together Mizuna swore vengence for his planet and people that he would kill the tyrant.

Upon recovering from his wounds on Stovasa the remaining saiyans Mizuna, Raditz, Parslee, Nappa, and Prince Vegeta all gathered and planned to continue working for the tyrsnt until they were old and strong enough to escape and build their own army to bring the tyrant down.

And now Mizuna begins his journey for vengence.
Choose what you would like to do in the first 8 years of serving lord frieza. All of these will have a certain time amount need to complete it.

Homing Shotgun Swarm - Create a ball of ki and fire it out in different directions which will converge onto a single point hitting from different angles. Can sort of be used during beam struggles. The more beams that are fired, the weaker each beam is.

I should elaborate here on why I chose Engineering, just in case it can convince others.
Engineering can be used to make things like mind-control devices, infinite energy engines, and robotic minions. No need to really recruit people if we can force them to work for us, or build an army of robots who don't even ask for pay. (Note that these are just examples of things seen in canon - i doubt we'll be able to pull off the infinite energy engine with just this studying).
We could also be a really tricky fucker and develop something like a blutz-wave emitter contact lens.

In between missions Mizuna actually spent most of his time with the Bird doctor,Malaka, he met when he first awoke from the tournament. Mizuna spent 6 years studying medicine, engineering, and biology.

During Mizunas 2 year studies with medicine he learned all about the rejuvenation chamber and its healing properties as well as learning the ways of a sort of combat medic. He also learned of experimental equipment planned for field-use that would heal soldiers in combat. While not nearly as effective as the rejuvenation chamber Mizuna saw endless oppurtunites of healing saiyans to get back on their feet after an taking a beating in combat if even only temporary. Perhaps something he could explore later

During Mizunas 2 year studies with engineering he learned all about the ships and combat equipment used in the PTO. He can operate almost any ship in the PTO and make the necessary repairs if needed. He also learned about experimental scouters that could detect hidden power levels.

During Mizunas 2 year studies with biology he learned all about the saibamen. He learned about how different soils affect how powerful the saibaman will become and what secondary effects they may have. Mizuna actually argued the necessity of carrying different soils into planetary assauts to improve the saibamen rather than use chancing on that planets soil being enough. In the future Mizuna can scour the galaxy for rich Saibasoil (Which is his Trade-marked name for it)

Although he learned alot from his studies Mizuna also knew the importance of his training and interacting with his saiyan squad members.

Parslee offered to help you improve your overall speed and you asked nappa to improve your strength to which he begrudgingly agreed.

After 2 years of Training you can really feel the difference. Your speed training with Parslee immensely helped you with your ability to dodge in close combat and your ability to move almost without being seen. You also helped Parslee improve her speed as well, which actually brought you two alot closer together. She now openly shows you affection and you both fight together flawlessly.

Nappas training improved your stength by quite a bit. While you aren't going to beat someone down with your strength alone, combined with your intense speed you are considerably stronger. While nappa isn't the friendliest person towards you, you can tell that your choice in asking him to train you meant a lot to him. But he still isn't considered a "friend".

During one of the planetary assaults, Planet Miriku, in Mizunas oozaru form the planets hero, a krillian shark man named Daz, greatly scarred Mizunas left eye in battle. While there was no permanent visual damage, Mizuna is heavily scarred on his right eye. Parslee however finds it deeply attractive. Raditz and Nappa also find that it makes you actually more saiyan somehow. Vegeta doesn't care whatsoever. Daz's body was never found after the assault but you all assumed he was vaporized during the siege.

When you turned 16 your body had fully matured into adulthood, you knew from your studies in biology that this was how you would look for the rest of your life. You also changed you armor to a grey short sleeve training suit with blue and brown sleeveless armor with thigh plates, gauntlets and boots. You've also got a red scouter equipped.

That was also when you and the rest of your saiyan squad decided to try to escape from the PTO. However Prince Vegeta and Nappa strongly argued that they should stay behind in order to keep frieza off your backs and improve your chances of not being found to build your army. Given your knowledge in engineering you could develop a special one way communication scouter to keep in contact should you choose to leave them behind.
Parslee and Raditz however will not leave your side.

Meeting in the mission deployment command center to discuss your escape plan Mizuna thinks and replies "I agree my Prince, you and Nappa should stay behind. It'll work well with the plan i have in mind."

"Oh yeah? What plan would that be brainiac? You ganna science frieza to death?" Nappa remarks with a smirk. You know he is just teasing you because of your studies.

"Thats enough Nappa!" Vegeta snaps "Now before we get into your plans i believe you owe me something. If you recall the only reason i showed an interest in you before was so i could get you strong enough to spar with me and offer a decent challenge. So if we are splitting up for a while then you owe me a match." He says in a serious tone "Are you ready or have i made a mistake thinking a low class could be of any use to me."

Parslee stands next to you and leans into your ear to whisper "You know he has a power level of 15,000 right? If you take on the Prince of all saiyans..." she giggles lightly and wraps her tail around your waist "I'll give you a very special gift" she gives you a kiss on your cheek and saunters out of the room. Both Vegeta and Nappa roll their eyes and look to you for your answer. Even Raditz looks at you with curiousness.

"Well lover boy?" Vegeta prods "Can you gain the respect of your prince?" he chuckles and crosses his arms

Then it clicks in your head "Actually Prince Vegeta we could use you and Nappa as a way to fake me, Raditz and Parslees deaths so we can easily escape the PTO. It'll even make you sound like heroes in Friezas eyes. Yes... we can pretend to be betraying Frieza and you both take us out for betrayal and report our deaths.They will hear everything over the scouters. It's a perfect plan!"

Vegeta thinks it over intensely before cracking a grin and saying "Yes that could work. Frieza is such an idiot he won't know the difference. He'll place more trust in Nappa and I, which can get me even closer to him. Alright Mizuna we will do it your way. But if we are going to actually fight then you will need a ship with a rejuvenation chamber on it."

You know you could hijack a ship large enough with a rejuvenation chamber but you also know you can't do it quitely without someone noticing. But then you remember Malaka also sharing your desire to leave the PTO on a experimental ship he was working on in the shadows for decades. Perhaps he could assist you in your escape.

"I will meet you on Planet Wretch in 4 hours my prince, but i need to collect some things before we can go." you explain

"As you wish. We will be there waiting for you Mizuna. Don't disappoint us." Vegeta and Nappa turn and take their leave

"Raditz go find Parslee and tell her the plan, then call me on the scouter while i go find Malaka." Raditz nods but also looks like he has something he wants to say

"Mizuna before i left to find you on Planet Stovasa i saw my brother was going to be sent on a mission to a weak planet called EaRTH. I don't know if he got out in time but it's something i want to check out. I have no idea where this planet is yet, but with enough time i could locate it."Raditz says with a tinge of hope in his voice. You almost forgot Raditz had a newborn brother called Kakarot.

"Sure Raditz, Whenever you locate him we will take the time to collect him. For now we need to worry about us getting out of here." You say matter-o-factly

"Of course, I'm on it" With that he turns and leaves in search of Parslee

You quickly go and find Dr. Malaka who is indeed very willing to leave with you. You ask him about the old ship he had been working on for decades.

"Of course saiyan boy, Here she is" he introduces a massive ship that looks identical to the one Frieza owns, only it's a sleek metallic black "She is pretty much identical to her sister model except for the fact that she has a cloaking ability capable of masking power levels entirely." Dr. Malaka explains as you wonder in awe as you tour around it.

"This is perfect. We need to take this right now to Planet Wretch. Is she ready yet?"

Our hope of winning is pretty slim barring Veggy making rookie mistakes. He's top-tier as far as fighting skills go with no glaring flaws in his abilities. You wait in anticipation as you see Dr. Malaka pull the experimental scouter schematics that you both had been working on ever since you started studing with him.

"Great work Dr. Malaka. This will be immensly helpful in the future, if we can finish and develop it" you say thankfully

"This Planet we are staging our demise, is it currently inhabited?" The doctor asks curiosly

"Yes of course, it is an actual conquer mission. I imagine Prince Vegeta and Nappa will make short work of the locals" you explain.

A deeply troubled face drips upon Dr. Malakas face "Saiyan boy... do you enjoy what you do? The genocide of Millions... does it fill you with pride...or pleasure? "GALICK GUN!" you hear him shout

As if on cue you rush him as fast as you can, appearing almost instantly behind him and return the favor of a double axe handle to his head while off-guard

He doesn't see it coming and plumets to the ground. You quickly fire off a energy wave to finish the attack.However he flips upon his descent landing on both feet seemingly unijured looks back up at you with a grin as he immediatly launches himself back up to you at an unreal speed and completely spirals away from your energy wave, leaving a crater behind him. He reaches you before you can even react and lands a rocketing uppercut.
His punch feels like 3 spinochas all at once as you are launched even further into the sky and are then hit with a barrage of Ki-blasts from Vegeta.
Each blast hurts like hell and causes you to cry out in pain for a second before you steel your body and reorient yourself and actually manage to deflect the last of the blasts that are shot towards you. That last uppercut and blast combo definetely did a number on you, your armor has been damaged and your having to pant now but you can keep going.

Still in the clouds unable to see any sign of Vegeta you quickly descend back down to the island. You find Vegeta standing and waiting for you with a grin on his face

"Well well i may have underestimated you a bit. You can definetly take a hit, and have some speed i'll give you that. Although you caught me off-guard that last attack was childs play. If you want to beat me your going to have to do a lot better than that." He chuckles

"He's right. I need to find some way to do some damage" You think to yourself

You flare your bright pink aura and being compacting all your energy into your gut. "Hyper Desolation should do the trick" you think to yourself and let a grin crawl onto your face

"Child's play huh? Well then LET ME SHOW YOU A REAL ATTACK!!! HAAAAAAAAAAAA" you feel every last drop of your energy compacted in your gut furiously trying to escape. You rush him as fast as you can with your left arm cocked back and your bright pink aura flaring around you as if your going to punch him with all your might to throw him off.

Surprisingly he rushes you as well "I already told you, your old tricks aren't going to wo-" as you stop dead in front of him and tuck all your limbs together as you compact you energy even tighter than before giving you a feeling as if you were about to burst. Vegeta suddenly registers what is going on and has a look of pure horror on his face as you grin sinisterly as if to tell him too late.

Your arms snap back to your sides and you legs shoot back down as you yell "HYPER DESOLATION!!!" and release the floodgate to allow every bit of energy to explode from your body.

Vegeta is caught completely off-guard and can only yell "DAMMIT!!!" as your attack completely consumes him in a titanic bright pink explosion all around you.

Raditz, Parslee and Nappa fly out of harms way just in time and look on stunned, and in awe of your attack.

Once the explosion settles you fall onto your hands and knees heavily panting. That took almost everything you had. You are pretty much drained of energy and exhausted. You look around and find yourself inside a massive crater with no vegeta in sight.

But then you hear the ground break apart and vegeta shoot from it and into the sky. His armor looks badly damaged, as well as his body which is covered in bloody scrapes and a couple burn marks, he is panting as well but not nearly as hard as you. However you somehow can tell he is still far from going down. Although what surprises you is his face, he is actually smiling.

"Yes, Bravo you actually managed to damage me. However your still far from beating me i'm afraid." He shoot you a condescending smile "You did impress me however, charging me into an attack like was clever, I'll admit i didn't see it coming"

This brings a small smile to your face inbetween your heavy pants and dripping sweat

"But it's time to end this, Nappa kill the others, We are done here" Vegeta commands

"With pleasure" Nappa smiles and blasts both Raditz and Parslees scouters and they do the same to his

With all scouters destroyed you know you are now free to speak openly

"Well Mizuna i hope your ready for next time" he says as he descends to you and crouches down to speak to you "Because next time i won't hold back so much" and with that he walks off towards nappa

Raditz and Parslee rush to your side and help you up on each of their shoulders

Not wanting to take any chances you yell up to Vegeta "Prince Vegeta, you and Nappa need to get in your pods and get the hell out of here so our ship can pick us up!"

"Grrrrrrr...Fine! But only because you picked the most idiotic way to signal your ship!" he yells back down at you "Lets go Nappa" and they both descend back down and get into their ships and blast off.

Raditz and Parslee manage to get you out of the crater and set you down to wait for Dr. Malaka. They both drop into guard stances in preparation for Daz whos roars continue to get closer and louder with every passing second.

After Ten seconds the roars stop. Everything stops. The waves, the wind, and the ocean all go silent.

That's a massive explosion happens right on the shore. The wind alone behind it nearly blows you all away and forces Raditz and Parslee backwards as their feet drag through the ground trying to hold on. You have never felt anything like it.

As the wind settles down a single 20ft figure stomps his way from the smoke and crater. He is absolutely massive and ripped, he has insanely sharp teeth and claws, has a massively scarred grey hide body, indicating he has been in a lot of battles. He has eyes as dark as space itself and you can just feel his intense bloodlust from the devilish grin he is throwing your way.

"Saiyans...Yes...I have finally caught up to you." He stomps closer and his devlish grin grows wider as his deep blue arua flares violently "It's time you pay for what you did to my people! I'm ganna enjoy ripping every limb off your bodies and eating every last bit of you three." He begins too laugh darkly and eyes you as if you're his prey

You don't know why but as soon as his eyes meet yours you can feel nothing but unrelenting fear overwhelm you. You look over to Raditz and Parslee and their faces look exactly like yours, Pure terror.

"I'll take him Raditz you help the doc get us out of here" Parslee tells Raditz

"Fine" Raditz begrudingly agrees and leaves you and parslee to go to the rejuvenation chamber.

She quickly takes you to the chamber and strips you from your armor. But before she puts you in she pulls you into a deep, long kiss and embrace "I don't know what was hotter... you taking on the Prince of all Saiyans, or staring down and scaring a 20ft Shark monster that could kill us all in seconds." She kisses you again even longer this time" All i do know is ... once your out of this chamber... nothing will save you from ME" she seductively whispers and winks as she closes the pod leaving you speechless but filled with a whole new level of confidence

The chamber begins to fill with liquid and you slowly drift too sleep "What a fucking day" you mutter as the chamber fills and you descend into your slumber

Good we managed to land a good hit but Vegeta pretty much shrugged most of it off as expected. Vegeta needs to stay ahead of us for a little while so that we don't become the worst kind of OC

Thread is progressing pretty well though I am always hesitant of quests that are set in established properties especially ones I am familiar with. My biggest piece of advice is try and do what Toriyama didn't and let the side characters have moments to shine and please incorporate strategy and more unique moves into the combat so it isn't just lazers lazers and more lazers
Beams are a staple and should be used but I would hate to see this quest hit a point where every problem is solved with throwing out our supermove

Speaking of the 50,000 PL shark man, we can do this two ways. We can either wait till nearly night time to hunt him down and go great ape, putting us at around 80,000, but also taking away our skill as mizuna will be a mindless beast, which puts us at a major disadvantage against the skilled hero of this planet. We could also try fighting him in ambushes and go in and out, building Mizuna up and raising his power as he fights from a combination of his zenaki and his natural growth as a talented fighter. This is incrediably dangerous and arguably the stupid choice, but the potential rewards are more then amazing, as we now have an enemy to push mizuna to his upmost limits and get him ready to take on the Ginyu force and other elite soldiers. That plus eventually joining back up with vegeta and nappa to learn both the fake moon technique and how to control himself in great ape form, and boom everything up to the Frieza himself would be a cake walk.

Thankfully if Veggy can find out about their techniques we can actually easily avoid them. For Guldo all you do is point at him and talk mad shit about him to the other members of the Ginyus and when he yells to defend himself you just blast him when he doesn't have any air in his lungs since you already have your finger aimed at him. His PL is super low so actually killing him when you hit him isn't a problem.

Ginyu is just a matter of not standing there when he fires any mouth beams at you, especially if he decides he wants to put a hole in his body beforehand. Of course this is excluding external factors, like one of the other Ginyus interfering with our movement. If Ginyu was smart he'd grapple someone before changing bodies with them, then slip free in the confusion and blast them while they are disoriented.

Good thing the Ginyu force is comprised entirely of dumbasses.

Yeah the whole point of adding Daz was to add a villain personal and a good goal to work towards for Mizuna in the event that he isn't powerful enough to compete with the ginyu force or if you guys split apart from vegeta and goku on Namek you have a big bad to face that will give you a real run for your money. Plus who doesn't love a good nemesis.

Vegeta will probably stay ahead of you for a good while so i wouldn't worry about that, I don't plan on making Mizuna tooooo powerful just cause it seems like a lot of quests have the MC UBER POWERFUL just for the fuck of it which in my humble opinion is boring as fuck. Thats also why i put the option to study medicine and engineering and Biology to really give Mizuna a usefulness outside of combat in the future

I fully intend to make side characters shine in this quest, when we get to the beginning of Z things will slow down a lot and i intend to give everyone a shot to shine. And i agree Mizuna should get a signature attack or combo before the start of Z so shoot some suggestions I'm down for most things, if its too crazy i can set up a side mission to learn a powerful technique from an alien planet now that Mizuna is a free lancer, chasing legends is something i would find really fun to write and be cool for Mizunas back story. So yes i can fully disclose that fighting Daz in your Oozaru form is a bad idea only because you are low class and can't control that form which is how he escaped you the first time, and hunting him down isn't something Mizuna can't do because A) He doesn't have the resources now that he is laying low and building an army and B) Daz is a complete "Lone Shark";) and has been hunting you for about 3 years now since you killed his family and everyone he cared about and sold his home like a cheap whore. So he probably is next to impossible to track. He will only appear when you are at your weakest or would least expect it, he sees you as evil incarnate and would like to make a meal out of you.
But yes i did set him up to push mizuna to his limits and get him ready for the ginyu force and frieza quite frankly. I'm still iffy about utilizing great ape however, maybe you can chase down legends of ancient saiyans and learn to control that form now that vegeta and nappa are gone... idk

If Mizuna continues to take on the biggest and baddest challenges then yeah she isn't fucking off but if he were to go to far down the R&D path with Dr. Malaka then she would see that as weakness and be turned off entirely. But Raditz usually won't pick a fight he isn't 100% sure he can win, or has backup from Mizuna or Parslee which is why i believe he stayed so weak in the original series, he just doesn't fight people stronger than him but he will wreck the shit out of people that are weaker.

Special Move Drill Blast form a ki blast and then begin to spin it rapidly while forming mountains/valleys on the surface. It relies upon finesse over sheer power and getting hit by it hurts a lot more then you would expect given the lack of 'ki' behind it.

Special Move Sawblade Fist form discs of ki between of knuckles and accelerate them. Smash and slice the enemy at the same time.

I'm not sure about a super move or a combo yet.

Ki Gun: A fusion of technology that when charged with ki modifies and enhances it before firing. ki is forced through a number of conduits, wires, and lenses to break it down/reform it even concentrate it. To a powerful but small beam of energy with possible additional properties.

Ki Bomb: Accidental technology that can store an absurd amount of ki in a tiny package that can be 'charged' and used at a later date to devasting effect.

Illusion Mimic Device: Based off of scouter technology and 3d imaging. Replicates the user and projects a perfect copy. One that even 'appears' to have the same exact power level even and unless you touch them or they touch you. You would never know they were just an illusion.

Ki Battery: Based off the Ki Bomb technology but actually stable(see not explosive) was actually the original intended result. Excess Ki is stored inside the device and when used later can recharge the user. Allowing for soldiers to be refueled during battle.

Overcharge Pill: When consumed will explosively increase your Ki now in exchange for crippled ki later until you recover. Useful for when you need more powah right now.

Regen Pill: Overdraws the bodies ability to repair itself at the cost of depleting energy levels(being VERY hungry afterward). Not advised to use when low on food.

Mighty Pill: When consumed greatly increases bodily performance(see speed, strength, and toughness). The temporary increase is very taxing on the body and when consumed repeatedly will damage the body as well. Otherwise it just makes you really tired afterward. Consuming multiple pills at once will explosively increase the result at the cost of the instant wounding of the body and possible death.

Moon Pill: Created after studying the effects of transformation and what causes it exactly within the body. To artificially induce it upon a Saiyan even without a Moon present.

Ki bombs are definitely plausible

Illusion Mimic Device is sort of like a tech version of after image but definitely plausible

Ki Battery is something thats plausible but will definitely take a long time to R&D

All the pills are 100% plausible and kind of what i had planned for the medicine/biology route

All in all GOOD JOB ANON of course all of these will have different requirements and times but all of these are doable

I would just work on special moves and combos only because drill forming and weapon forming with ki would take a tremendous amount of ki concentration imo but its doable if you learn from the right people

As far as special moves go, I was thinking we might want to go the route of combining our knowledge of how the world works with ki manipulation in some way, in order to get more bang than is normal.
For example, a 'vacuum bomb' attack might be viable. A ki ball with a hollow center with nothing but a vacuum inside of it. Throw it, hit someone with it, and the ki ball implodes, then explodes violently. Should have both an energy and a physical aspect to it, considering how it works, I think. All that air would rush in to fill the vacuum and give the resulting implosion more power, and if it's a large enough vacuum the rush itself might be able to do damage.
Could also develop that further as a move to trap someone in a barrier with a vacuum inside of it. Suffocate them to death alongside doing all the other fucked up things that being in a vacuum does over time.

Or like...a ki attack that "charges" someone up with a magnetically aligned static charge (pseudoscience is a staple of dragonball, don't judge me), followed by ki attacks of the opposite magnetic alignment. So they automatically home in on the strongest magnetic force present, them, and require less concentration on our part to utilize. For bonus points, surround ourselves in the same magnetic alignment as the attacks, so that when the enemy inevitably tries to pull the trick of 'getting the attacker between me and the attacks', it just goes around us and right to them anyways. because same-alignment magnets repel each other.

We could also gor for elemental ki attacks. Fire and electricity are doable and we could make techniques that paralyze or scorch opponents. I was also thinking of a flame mantle type move. We convert the aura normally around us to flame like aura so that it can extra damage in melee, as foes would take damage simply being near us. Telekinesis and telepathy are also in setting and s mart guy like mizuna could definitely use them for things like messing with an opponents head, or crushing/knocking them back with pure psionic force. Freeza killed krillin that way too, just grabbed him with telekinesis and used it to make him explode. Ki weaponry and other equipment made out of ki is also a thing so we could figure that out and give mizuna the ability to make spiked energy gauntlets, long energy claws, even full armor and big shields as needed.
