The only bad spot I can pin on him is his melodramatics and his constant torture boner but he gets that out in timelines we don't see so it's hardly like it counts.

You figure that calling someone while you tinker is probably a bad idea, so you crack on with what you wanted to make first and resolve to call him later.

For now though, you sink into the madness. You guide the ideas towards what you want, slowly more and more close to your intended end result. It's difficult and time consuming, but eventually you end up with what you were going for. Generally.

[Trickster's Cane]
This is a metal cane with an outer shell made of the same metal as your cards but smooth instead of sharp(obviously) it doesn't cut through things in the same way. Instead it softens whatever it hits and deforms it.

The cane also contains a directional electromagnet that allows you to recall your cards after they've been thrown, or technically anything magnetic enough for the beam to affect.
The cane itself is a rather simple metallic grey all over, except for a handle just under the head which is made of wood, with a button cleverly concealed under the head of the cane. Three faces, one smiling, one crying and one shouting in anger adorn the top.


And then we come to the second priority for the morning.
Calling the Undersiders' mysterious benefactor. You flip open the phone. Contrary to Tattletale's previous statements, there are actually two contacts on the phone one is Blank, while the other is titled "Do not Call from this phone".

He doesn't seem particularly taken aback by this, merely breathing in for a long second before continuing to speak. I like to think I'm smarter than those simple brutes in the other major crime organisations. I am also aware that you are a Tinker, you build things. Correct? my offer is a simple one, Cash monthly, for a supply of whatever you see fit to make. I'm particularly interested in that gas of yours."

You decide to head out for the night, grab some food from whatever you find and take the dog for a walk.

After a while you manage to find an all night pancake place that lets dogs in, so you settle down for a nice meal.

You quickly collect five Tinkertech laser rifles alongside the squad's mundane sidearms. Magazines and batteries quickly being loaded onto a broken old trolley and ran back to the factory, the ambush only having happened two blocks away.
Afterwards you walk back into town, your spaniel not far behind you. there are a lot of people around, but none of them freak out or anything, so you assume that the hospital incident hasn't been made public yet to avoid scaring people.

You head up towards a hotdog vendor, but as you look at all the different choices you are struck by indecision. You shuffle awkwardly from foot to foot while um'ing and ah'ing, too tired and confused to make a proper decision.

You hear a gruff, and oddly familiar voice behind you.
"Excuse me, perhaps I could order while you decide?"

You step to the side out of courtesy, masked face still still fixed on the price board.

[Trickster's Cane]
This is a metal cane with an outer shell made of the same metal as your cards but smooth instead of sharp(obviously) it doesn't cut through things in the same way. Instead it softens whatever it hits and deforms it.
The cane also contains a directional electromagnet that allows you to recall your cards after they've been thrown, or technically anything magnetic enough for the beam to affect.
