Welcome to Traditional Evolution Game, part 5.1! This time, evolution will be separated by region. The rules of the game are as follows:
1. Find a creature that is still alive
3. Paste the creature in a pixel editor program like MSPaint
4. Make a noticeable mutation for them that makes sense and is not too major
5. Add necessary format either in description or within its picture, please follow format shown below this post for this
5. Post evo here, with a description of what changed

Now, for do's/don'ts
DO post no matter how shitty your art is! WE NEED YOU! It's not that hard to edit in paint, just do your best!
DO try to use the pencil tool instead of brushes, as it will make it easier to edit linework and recolour
DON'T mutate the same creature over twice in a row! There'll be plenty of family lines in need of love.
DON'T overdo mutations. A creature doesn't suddenly grow legs, intellect and fire-breathing.
DON’T forget the format, otherwise people won’t know where your creature is from or what it eats etc.
DON’T forget to link back to creature you have evolved when posting
DON’T forget to have fun, and don’t forget to post, more players and less lurkers is what will keep this alive

Due to the combined influence of slight shifts in orbit trajectory and cryogenic gases being released into the atmosphere by Nolor species, the planet enters a second ice age. It's inhabitants will need to adapt quickly in order to survive.

While the event was worldwide, in this thread we will focus solely on the continent Solitudinus and it's inhabitants, to downsize the amount of starting creatures.
The continent is composed of the following areas:

Northern Cliffsides: really cold and angular, uninhabited.
Avg Temp -20°C(4°C highest, -40 lowest)
Weather: snowstorms every now and then, windy

Badlands: rocky, flat region, irradiated by mysterious crystals and home to the Impact Crater.
Avg Temp: 9°C (18°C highest, 3°C lowest)
Weather: Cool winds, rain and snowfall

Southern Mountain Range: rocky mountains, currently uninhabited.
Avg Temp: -2°C (5°C highest, -20°C lowest)
Weather: windy, snowfall

Desert: sand everywhere, but has a large river and many smaller ones. Frozen over on the south side.
Avg Temp: 10°C(14°C highest, -36°C lowest)
Weather: winds, occasional rain or snowfall

The due to the glurads constant reproduction and ever changing environment. They have gained the ability to enter a state of dispause by shunting down their bodies to an almost standstill, until they are able to have a quick warm spot to relocate to a warmer area or scavenge for food. And with that the Great Glurad Worldwide Migration begins

In the Solitudinus Desert, an offshoot of the Solitor develops throny branches and bark formations, to fend off hervibores that may attempt to feed on it. They also begin growing closer to the ground, in a more bush-like manner, with many prickly branches growing simultaneously. They begin sprouting closer to eachother than before, mainly because their spores can no longer reach as far as before due to their new short size, this leads to the formation of shrublands across the deserts of Solitudinus.

Solitor Trees, using Sneezing Radats as pollinators, begin growing small sexual organs near their roots both underground and near the soil.

The Desert Rimpies have developed a mutation causing the appearance of rigid, semi-transparent shells on their skin. This proves to be a favorable trait, as shells on the head protect the Rimpy's sensitive eyes from sand, and the shells on the other parts of it's body serve as a deterrent, as they shatter into many sharp pieces when a predator attacks the creature.

The life in The Solitudinus Rivers is harsher now that the globe has cooled. Heat retention is at an all time low, and the warmer lands are becoming more appealing by the day.

The Proctors have started to migrate from the rivers to the shoreline around the southern mountain range. Occasonal treks into the water prove to sustain their hunting habits, however the follicles of their once water adapted skin has started to show an excess buildup of dead cells expelled from the creature's pores, forming trace lines of stubble where at one time skin oils would be spilling out into the waters around them. The Stubble Proctor is born.

Due to the climate changes, food has become scarcer to the Glurad. To deal with this, the workers had developed an extra cavity in their stomach, to which half-digested food is deposited and stored for occasions when the hive can't find more.

Next to their stomach, the Desert Sklort have evolved a bag where they store their eggs. The female vomits out the egg for the male to fertilize, only to swallow it back up. The female will carry the egg around in this special sack for three weeks, then vomit out again so that it may hatch.

The Global Stilters have evolved specific traits for living in the harsh sandy deserts of Solitudinus.

Physical:
-New toes and meatier flaps around their feet to help them keep stable in shifting sands.

-Their plated structures have shifted to allow heat to drift off as well as keeping dust out of their "nostrils".

-The Egg Carriers have become taller to better keep an eye out for younger members of the species, as well as a louder, deeper call to signal eachother

Behavioral:

-The Egg Carriers (or Nemale [Neh-Male] for short), have developed mating displays to attract the best male and female that involve clacking their plates together, showing their colored spots, and "dancing" in a way that shows off their leg flaps.

-The oldest Breeding Trio are the leaders of the herd, using their sense of smell migrate from from the Southern Mesas up to the delta in the southern mountain range and back; each herd has a slightly different route

The Flarnalsaur has adapted to Solitudinus heat by spending about 80% of its life partially submerged in water, the other 20% is usually spawning and grazing.

It has developed additional back fins to better launch itself through the water away from predators, as well as burying itself in mud should no running water be available.

The Caropa has evolved extra long and drooping branches to protect its roots and seeds from the hot midday sun of the badlands, and while the soil is not great the plant has spread virulently due to its mildly addictive spicy flavor.

Usually you will find large patches of Caropa plants around and before you see Solitor plants, as when the plant dies off in the hotter months it fixes nutrients into the soil for itself and other plants as a means of survival.

In a cruel twist this plant is usually choked out after a while by other plants that uses the better soil to steal all the root space

Nolor is the first to colonize the northern icy cliffs.
It became completely black to absorb as much sunlight as possible and keeps its roots warm to get water from the ice.
Due to the lack of minerals its crystals are now mostly composed of ice.

The Desert Rimpies have spread along the eastern coast, where they adapted to cold temperatures of mountains and night deserts.
Their shells became tougher and more elastic; covering most of their body they provide excellent insulation.

With >>2531039 spreading to the northern cliffsides, their natural consumer, the Lesser Grundle, follows. Due to the low temperatures of the region, the Grundle's slime freezes, with only the lowest portions remaining liquid thanks to metabolic processes in this area, allowing for continued movement and consumption of Ice Nolor, although now it takes much longer for the Grundle to eat the tree.

Some of the Proctors followed the herds of prey north, and developed a thick fur to protect them from the elements. This new subspecies is called the Arctic Proctors

The Klon species populate the sparse wooded areas of the Badlands, using the height of the trees to catch the heat of the sun and also as a way to literally *drop* onto unsuspecting prey. These are assisted by their darker, rougher skin, that both absorbs light and acts as a very basic camo.

Their back fingers have grown larger claws to dig into the harder flesh of Stilters and Sklorts, gripping tightly as their prey dies of blood loss and exhaustion.

During mating season, they have shown basic luring strategy by separating a individual from a group and chasing them into a trap of several Klons that all attack at once.

The Radarachnid has evolved a lower profile and darker shell to deal with the chill of the Badlands as well as claws to carry and manipulate both its web and surroundings.

It will spin a thin layer of web suspending sand over several small pits that act as snares for smaller prey, it then buries itself with its back legs facing the surface, ready to deal the finishing strike with its clawed whip-like appendages if it feels a shift in the sands.

When this creature isn't hunting it will wrap its food into a web 'sack' that it carries in its claws as it roams the wastes, only stopping to bury itself to rest

The Radwalker has migrated, evolved, and split to escape the harsh radiation of the badlands, resulting in both Southern and Northern varieties

The Northern Radwalker sports a compact spiral shell that folds its body together to help keep it warm in this new ice age. It also has developed a slower metabolism to pursue prey long distances, tiring them out.

The Southern Radwalker instead sports a long spire shell that sticks out of the sand it buries in to keep warm, the special stomach gas this creature produces filters out through the horns on its shell creating a area around it that slowly poisons other creatures. The symptoms of this gas are loss of balance, confusion, and paralysis if the prey stands in it too long. After the prey is weakened, it will kill and drag its food back to its chosen spot and eat it over several days

The roots of the Caropa now excrete a chemical into the soil poisonous to rival plants. This is so the that after a Caropa puts nutrients into the soil, it is not choked out by an invasive species. This new chemical has caused a discoloration of the roots, and while it is not fatal to most animals, it does make them sick if they eat too much of the roots.

Some nolor growing on glaciers are carried to the open sea. After glacier ice under them melts, they manage to survive by making more ice around them, giving them support and fresh water.

They adapt some of their roots for filter feeding.

They drift closer to the equator, abundant biomass allows them to grow in size.

The Caropa has moved into the mountains where it faces no competition from other plants.

Its roots developed an ability to burrow into solid rock by releasing acidic ichor. Chemical reaction in their seeds allows them to expand and float in the air.

Sucker Rimpies in the northern regions had begun preying on the >>2532617. To break their ice shells before drinking, the Rimpies have developed their lower teeth into clubs. As they have few adaptations against cold, they can't venture far into the territory inhabited by the Frozen Grundles.

The Cochelacrabs in solitudinus have evolved more mass as well as small front limbs to better get around in its colder environment.

They have also started a communal behavior, with family groups of 10-15 individuals building curved in walls around their pools to protect from the cold and scavengers after their eggs.

BeyBlue plants living in the Solitudinus desert develop a diferent foliage, specific to their new enviroment. Their thorns become thick, fleshy leaves that store massive amounts of water in small spaces, which in combination with its new taproot, allows the plant to live very deep in the desert. To protect itself from hervibores, it begins producing an opiod-like chemical in its leaves' sap, which when consumed causes predators to fall asleep and can cause illness and even death when consumed frequently and in large amounts. The plant now grows medium sized segmented fruits that are bitter and emit a potent fragance.

The Arctic Proctors shed the antlers of their ancestors, and evolve a more elongated skull, allowing for a larger brain. Arctic Proctors live high up in the Solidinus Mountain Ranges, hunting in pairs. P.S. I forgot to change the habitat to the Northern Cliffsides in the last evolution, and now there's that sick map with all the species locations. So the Arctic Proctor now lives in both the Solitudinus Mountain Range and the Northern Cliffsides.

Proctors living in the desert riverbanks evolve sturdier more maneuverable hands, complete with opossable thumbs and sharp claws that allow them to break the Desert Sklort's hard shells.

BeyBlue plants growing on the river edges become aquatic. They use rocks as a way to anchor themselves to the riverbed, and grow their root bulbs around them. They begin to grow in a segmentated manner, growing different levels separated by a layer of foliage. Their fruit changes in order to be fucntional in an aquatic medium and becomes more 'grainy'. Since they are plants have no way of knowing where theyre actually growing, they tend to mistake Cochleacrab Spitballs for rocks, and so the RiverBay Sedges can be seen growing in the walls of the dams and of the pearlhuts made by these animals.

The mutated-beyul has evolved into the Meyul to stay hydrated for longer periods without liquid water, becoming thicker along the "trunk" and sprawling its roots out further during each rain.

During cold periods it converts the water in its system into a simple alcohol to prevent freezing, ingesting any part of the plant at this time causes giddy feelings and loss of motor skills

Some Flarnalsaurs have found out that hiding in broken Cochleacrab pearls makes for a nice cozy defensive home, as well as protection from colder weather. So eventually they evolved into the Hermit Flarnalsaur, who instead of looking around for already-broken Cochleacrab pearls (which are hard to find), just finds a normal Cochleacrab pearl and squirts digestive juices at it to hollow it out. These hollowed-out pearls are much easier to carry, so more and more hollow pearls can be found further away from the river. The Hermit Flarnalsaur still return to the rivers from time to time, either to breed (which they still need fresh water to care for their young) or to refill their water reserves.

Rarely, Hermit Flarnalsaurs chose a pearl which already has a >>2553210 Riverbay Sedge sapling growing on it, carrying it about until it gets too heavy for the Hermit Flarnalsaur. Unfortunately this usually spell doom for the sapling, since the Hermit Flarnalsaur could have dropped it off in a dry place, far from their watery habitat.

While some Desert Sklort develop a way to carry their unborn offspring with them (>>2530823), the Squalart begin dumping their eggs into the rivers of the Solidus desert, going through an aquatic larval stage and living as semi-aquatic hervibores that don't stray too far away from bodies of water. They develop a scale-like shell, secreting their now liquid wastes through crevices inbetween each 'scale'. Their colours change in order to camouflage with the mud and the wet sand.
