You exit your quarter and call up Lara, who answers almost instantly as always.

"Hey Lara, I'm going to head over to SMS to pick up Amy. You mind tagging along?"

"Sure thing! I'm just getting done putting the finishing touches on your bird!" Lara laughs. "Come on down and take a look!"

Smiling and shaking your head, you go down to the hangar, where Lara is waving frantically at you to come her way. As you get closer to her and your Valkyrie, you notice there's... something different.

Not only were the kill markers updated, but you notice something else pointed on the side of your fuselage.

It was a pinup of Amy, in her full idol getup in a brilliant mix of reds and pinks. Of course, it looked like she was in the middle of a song, giving a sly, almost seductive wink at the viewer. Looks like Lara got a bit... carried away.

"As I said before, I'm a liaison." Catherine says matter of factly. "In short, since SMS typically takes NUNS on as a client, it's not uncommon for our ships to be operating together. I'm here to ensure that lines of communication remain open between the two entities."

"Feels like you're here for more than that." You say.

"Ah, well, I'm also here to observe SMS activities and ensure they remain accountable to NUNS laws and regulations. Even if they aren't within our military structure, they still have to follow the laws set down for civilians.

"So, how long have you been on the Quarter, then?" Lara asks.

"Oh, well..." Catherine pauses. "Since the Vajra War, which was... back in 2059?"

You and Lara look at each other. That meant she had to have stayed on the ship for almost a decade. Quite a long assignment for a mere "liaison".

Ha, well, no matter what these girls tried, at the end of the day, they were nothing more than amateurs attempting to intimidate a pro.

Already, you could see ways to get out of your current predicament. You could just straight out intimidate the girls by just straight breaking out of your bonds. While the ropes they tied you to the chair with were strong and well tied, the problem was the chair itself was rather flimsy and prone to break.

Or, well, you could try TALKING to the girls. Just sweet talk them into letting you off the hook. The preferable peaceful option, but sweet talking was not something you felt you particularly good at.

Catherine and Lara are waiting in the hall when they see Amy literally leading you around on a leash. Lara instantly bursts out in laughter while Catherine just gives a tired sigh, the sight probably reviving some old memories for her or something.

Thankfully, there weren't many people around no the way to the hangar. Being midday operations in Sol time, most of the crew were at their duty stations or out on patrol, so the halls were relatively empty. However, you did draw the occasional odd glance from a passing crewman.

"So... does this happen often?" Catherine finally works up the courage to ask you while Amy is distracted talking to Rin.

You're then tugged away from Catherine as your little group finally reaches the hangar, where your Valkyries are ready and waiting to go. However that's when you realize something.

Amy might see the pinup of herself on your Valkyrie that Lara had painted. Fortunately, it was on the opposite side of the fighter so Amy wouldn't be able to see it from this angle, but she would eventually find out...

"Come on!" Amy continues to tug at the leash before pulling you up to your Valkyrie. "Well, Rin, I suppose this is where we- wait a minute..."

Amy frown as she walks over to the opposite side of your Valkyrie and looks up, going pale the sight of herself emblazoned on your your craft.

"Wh-wh-what the fuck is this shit?!?!" Amy yelps.

"Oh, it looks absolutely adorable!" Rin giggles.

"YYOOOOOOUUUU." Amy yanks at the leash to bring you closer. "EXPLAIN. NOW."

"LAAARRRAAAA!" Amy bellows, sending your wingmate scurrying back to her Valkyrie.

Amy lets go of the leash and chases after your wingmate.

"Cap you traaaaaaitor!" Lara yells as she tries to stay on step ahead of Amy.

"And here I thought NUNS would be more professional..." Catherine sighs.

"Still, it so nice to see her being so lively." Rin beams as Lara dives into her Valkyrie, with Amy invading her rear set and pummeling her from behind. "Well, I'll leave her back in your care now."

And with that, Catherine and Rin head of, likely to take care of other pressing business. You just watch and laugh as Lara takes off her Valkyrie, still being pummeled and harassed by Amy.

Funny, though, since Amy never said anything negative about the pinup itself.

As you board your own Valkyrie, you just begin to think about the implications of bringing Amy to see CL. So many scenarios were running through your head on what would happen, and many of them could go bad.

Well, here 's to hoping this embarrassing little episode would be quickly forgotten. For all of your sakes.
