/qst/ - Quests

Oh shit, your company of soldiers has just gotten stranded in the middle of some continent full of primitives after a tricky and devastating loss. Your general and most of the headquarters is either dead, missing, or fleeing. It was quite a surprise, you have bolt action rifles, discipline, tactics, cavalry, machine guns, even had a few prototype tanks. Yet somehow we lost, and now we have to survive.

The army that came to pacify these savages was rather huge, all kinds of units dwelled within it: men, women, highborn and lowborn. A bunch of them gathered in this part of the forest, hiding from the primitives. Thankfully, you are no longer being chased and you are all gathering to see what you can do to escape.

You know that you're quite a ways off from the coast and, most importantly, the boats. They're your only way out, unless the savages reached them already. You've got enough ammo to last you for a few months, you know that some supply trains were a ways off from the battle.

No matter, you gather your units and present yourselves.

>Each player can make on unit of 100 men, customizing them as follows:

>Gender: [All Female | All Male]

Pick birthright:
>Nobleborn (+ Morale, - Discipline), nobles go to war for the glory of their name and their House. Yet entering an army as a noble implies less training and less drill instructions. Nobles are natural leaders, and their units usually inspire other men of lower class to fight better.
>Lowborn (- Morale, + Discipline), the lowborn, the masses, go to war for a myriad of reasons: As a way to make a living, forced by debt or crime, in search of a nobiliar title... Their strength lies in the tried and hard training they must go through to hope to reach the ranks of the army. Only the most obedient and disciplined reach it.

Pick unit type (not definitive):
>Line Infantry unit. Balanced unit with standard bolt action rifles, medium health and medium armor.
>Light Infantry unit. Specialized Ranged units with better quality rifles, low health, and low armor.
>Melee Infantry unit. Specialized Melee units, can use: Pikes OR swords and bucklers. High health, medium armor.
>Skirmishers unit. Specialized Ambush units with standard bolt action rifles, medium health and low amor. Has an easier time sneaking around enemies.
>Cavalry unit. Specialized Charge and Melee units mounted on horses, armed with swords and medium armor. High maintenance. Has 50 men and 50 horses.

>Name of commander:
>Name of unit:
>Region of origin: (Optional, writein. The world is open.)
>>
>Male

>Nobleborn

>Line Infantry

>Name: Commander Joannes Valern

>Unit Name: 'The Solemn'

>Region: Valern and his Unit hail from the Region of Alastra. Well renowned for it's cultural significance, those from Alastra are known to be solemn, stalwart thinkers. What they lack in the hardiness of frontiermen or the discipline of more martial regions, they make up with calm intelligence and methodical precision.

Rules:

Combat:
>Combat results are decided by 3d100 rolls per unit, the final result is the average of these dice.
>If any of the rolls is a 100, it'll be considered a crit success.
>Likewise, if any of the rolls is a 1, it'll be considered a crit failure.
>A 1 cancels a 100 and vice versa.

Other:
>Other rolls are decided on a single 1d100 roll per unit. Usually these include foraging, diplomacy, resource management, establishing camp, etc.
>Units can help other units in their rolls, if they do so, the highest of the rolls is taken.
Now that that's done away with, I will show you your current (general) situation. More issues will appear as time goes on, but right now you are focused on only these:

>Food: 3/10.
Spare supplies that were supposed to be used for the duration of the battle. With some rationing, it could last weeks.
>Weapons: 7/10.
Coming out of a battle, the man are armed and loaded. The confusion of the battle and the duration of the campaign has led to the loss of various weapons.
>Clothes: 5/10.
The battle was hard, and running away through a forest was even harder. Many of the men have their clothes torn and ripped, some are missing their overcoats.
>Area Knowledge: 0/10
You all honestly have no idea where you are.

A few hours of rest in this forest clearing has allowed your men some precious time to recover from the battle and take note of the supplies available to you.

Morale is down in the gutter right now, the men can barely bring themselves to work. Only the nobles of The Solemn seem somewhat eager, seeing an opportunity in defeat to rise again like an ashen Phoenix. The Bunnies and the Purple Lances are not faring well though.

Anyhow, it's time to get moving and do something with your lives, lest despair take you. You might find some more units on the way too.

What shall we do in the first day?

Your men follow your orders to the letter but find little of worth. Ten of them eat some bad berries and get a sick stomach, but the rest are fine thanks to the Purple Lances' assistance in identifying berries. Your men start following Timmothy of Har and simply stock up on whatever food they he and his men identify.

>>2484491
Your men forage another part of the forest at first and find a few bucks and does, too old to give much resistance, the soldiers make quick work of them with a few expertly aimed shots. There wasn't much in the form of edible plants and berries around here, so after finding no more game you head out to assist the Solemn in their foraging as well. They seem rather clueless, but they are willing to help out.

>>2484614
The Dust Bunnies head out a little further, knowing that the Purple Lances and the Solemn would scour the area closest to the makeshift camp you're holed up in. They find some more berries, mushrooms, even some fruit, but no meat. You head back to camp with your findings and all of you pool together.

All together you bring in enough food to keep the men fed for a week without touching the long-lasting travel rations you were given for the campaign. The mushrooms and the meat made for decent enough stews, while the berries worked great as general appetizers for the night. The men seem slightly more eager, knowing that these forests aren't barren, infertile lands.

The night passes by uneventfully, the men wonder how many other units actually survived the battle, and if they'll ever see some of their mates again. All they can do is hope.

Thread will continue tomorrow at 20:00 UTC.

Jukyujima is a long and narrow island with steep mountains, plentiful hot springs, and dense jungles and rain forests. Due to decentralization, warlords all over the island fought in an almost 75 year civil war for control all over the island. Your unit is stranded all by its lonesome, thankfully, you have a little knowledge of the continent due to stories and legends heard back in your home island. As you trudge through the forest, you find various rocks with markings which you can not decipher.

The wildlife and vegetation here is not too different from the one back in your island, you've seen wild cats, a wolf or two, one of your men found traces of a bear roaming around. The trees are tall and wide, but are otherwise not so special.

As your men move on through the forest, you spot a woman bearing a beige uniform. A few words with her and you understand that she is one of the steel people who conquered your island. Your unit joins up with the rest, bearing with them the knowledge you've gathered earlier.

The men cheer at the thought of finding an auxiliary unit which could have some knowledge of the area. Sadly, the knowledge they bring is much less than anticipated. The Jukyujiman are a rather isolated people, their knowledge of their continent is limited to the coast, which they'd wager we're quite a ways from. They have no idea how to return to it though, which hampers most plans for a quick march to territory controlled by the Empire.

The good news of finding more of our men has brought some much needed hope, our men are at the ready and awaiting orders.

Captain Timmothy will support the efforts to scout and map the surrounding areas. After much planning, the captain has decided to send four squads of 8 men led by their sergeants. The squads will each go North, South, East and west for 10 miles before returning.
>>
>>2486065
You now just naver help with scouting again (joks unlucky)
>>
>>2486020
As much as your men try and try, they can't dig well through this ground and the trees take hours to be felled. When they do fall, they usually end up somehow ruining other Solemnman's work. Eventually, you realize that you and your men are not making progress at all, some have even been wounded by a few accidents, falling down holes or having a branch hit them. Some are beginning to say that the forest is cursed, and that you'd better off out of it. Thankfully, since the construction works were rather simple in nature, no one has suffered a fatal injury.

>>2486029
>>2486046

Your men take off together, Suromi's men leading a slower pace than the Bunnies, seeking to chart the area into a readable map. The bunnies, meanwhile, look for areas of interest and landmarks. Dust and her women find that the forest eventually ends towards the north, the trees become more sparse and hills then snowy mountains cover the horizon. Meanwhile, Suromi has found out traces of human movement across the forest leading up to the north-east.

>>2486065
Timmothy and his men split up accordingly, Timmothy himself headed west. The forest goes on in a neverending manner, some of the men trip up, bothered by their clothing, and some end up wondering why they feel like they're going in circles. That's because you are. It takes you nearly the whole day to find your way back to camp. When you return, you find out that the rest of your men suffered the same luck, and most importantly, that the group sent to the East has disappeared completely.

Situation update incoming.
>>
>>2486100
The men are restless, though you know more about your surrounding area, you feel like you're not making progress towards the survival of the army. The attempt to establish a fortified camp in this forest have proved unsuccessful and the Solemn wish to leave it as soon as possible. The Purple Lances are extremely bothered by the loss of a whole four squads of men and are willing to go out to find them. The 2nd Tokehei Tachi have brought some decent results in their mapping attempts.

Four squads of men have disappeared in the East.

The night comes along, and the men debate if they should depart this cursed forest once and for all. The soldiers of the Solemn and the Purple Lances seem adamant in their wish to leave, while the Bunnies and the Tokehei have no strong opinion one way or the other.

The commanders gather, a decision must be taken tonight as to what shall be done tomorrow.

The Dust Bunnies head out as a scouting unit, they are very successful. They map out a good path out of the reaches of the forest and even spot a river with a ruined town in it from the heights of a hill. There are traces of human movement around the town, but it seems to be in a ruinous state. They also noticed one or two men watching the army's movement, scouts, most likely.

>>2486202
>>2486203
Your men march out in order, using the Dust Bunnies' marks to know where to go and when. The men are organized and try to keep each other in line, the few who remain wounded are heaved by their mates and succesfully keep up with the rest, though their pace is not the fastest.

>>2486229
The Purple Lances have gone ahead along with the Bunnies, accompanying them in their travels. They succesfully found out a group of five unknown scouts and taken them captive. The men feel like they remember the looks of them, they are part of one of the tribes your army fought against. They've been taken back to camp. One of them seems to speak a bit of the Common language.

>What happens if a player drops? How much does it disrupt the quest?
It'd be a shame, but a unit can be retconned or disappear in a canon way, such as desertion or dying honorably in battle. It's not too disruptive so long as enough players remain.

The men approach the village, Timmothy's Purple Lances stand at the ready outside of the village.

Joannes Valern and Suromi advance towards the village, a party of 5 men on foot come out to meet them. They seem intimidated by the men of Joannes.

Meanwhile, the Dust Bunnies establish a well guarded perimeter around the village, some of them heading down river to see what's cooking down there.

Some of the men bring out the scout who seems to know some of your language, to work as a translator for you.

The man who seems to be the lord of the village begins speaking, the translator is quick to translate.

"We are a poor village, very few remain after the Great King's raid. Do not us bring us more ill tidings, we have taken care of some of yours, they were lost and dehydrated and came to us for help. Please, take them and give us back our young and go."

>>
The elder answers to your petitions: "We have clothes to spare aplenty if you wish to mend your strange garments, sadly we have no food and we can not willingly give away one of our own as a translator. Take the cloth and go, this is all we ask in return."

The old man speaks a few words with the other four who came with him before continuing. "To the south are hilly roads with farms which will lead you to bigger villages. You could get plenty of food there, as harvesting season is to come soon. We can tell you no more. You must leave now as well, lest the Great King bring his rage upon both you and us."

>Clothes: 6/10.
The battle was hard, and running away through a forest was even harder. Many of the men have their clothes torn and ripped, some are missing their overcoats.
The trips across the forest are starting to take its toll on the clothes of the men, and some are starting to waver as their clothes become torn.
The gift of cloth from the village we found has given us enough to mend many torn uniforms from our men. They are not as beautiful as they once were, but they keep the men warm.

We found stones with strange markings.
Mountains to the North.
We've found a ruined village and a river to the east, it seems sparsely populated. We've taken some scouts that seem to be from there. Three men and two women.
The men in the village have told us of farms and towns further to the hilly south.

What shall the commanders do now? Vote.

“Make no mistakes captains, we are a foreign force in a strange continent. Sooner or later the kingdoms of the land will send forces after us. Who’s to say this man won’t go and warn someone of us. He easily gave us the location of the other villages. I suggest we start employing guerrilla tactics.”

>Take the village, scavenge it and leave, making camp further south.

Sumori hushes the captain with his sword raised. "We must move forward and not murder innocent civilians. We might be painted more as barbarians , as if being an invader wasn't enough."
>>
>>2486436

"We cannot stay, Captain Timmothy. We've no time. We must reach the coast. We can waste no time."
>>
>>2486452
The captain waves the complaints away
“It’s exactly because we’re an invading force. We didn’t come here for cohabitation. The armies of the savages have already proven quite the pain, upper command is gone. It’s just us now and we didn’t exactly make a good impression with the whole invasion thing. We need resources and to build a stronghold. We’re not going to do while playing diplomat.”
>>
>>2486455
“We’re not staying. Well, the savages are, their food and other things come with us.”
>>
>>2486458
"Look around captain, is this village of good defense?" Suromi points at the village. "As the elder of this village has said, they have been attacked in raids they couldn't defend against."

Sumori points his sword south, "If we move to a better position, we can make our hold there!"
>>
>>2486458

"A stronghold? Captain, you speak madness. We have to keep on the move, anything else will only risk us and our men further. Besides that, angering the locals will only make things that much harder in the long run. There may very well come a time where we might have to rely on their aid."
>>
After a short argument between the commanders, they have finally decided to leave the village in peace and to make camp further south for the night.

>>2486406
The elder nods and thanks you, accepting your gift. "May Nodi bless you on your travels, we will speak good of you to the small villages around here."

On the way south, the army finds the Bunnies' scouts, they mention having found a good, defensible hill with a good lookout over some plains in the south.

The army marches south, taking the mentioned hill. To the west, a small town with wooden walls can be seen, close to a river. You can see that the river is big enough for ships to sail it. In the east, many farm and cattle fields are sown with all manners of potential foodstuffs.

There is barely any time to establish a proper camp, but the hill gives you great advantage over any attacking forces. There are patrols surrounding it and some Purple Lances keep close watch on the ruined village behind you, watching for potential messengers.

Some small scuffles have broken out, the soldiers of the Purple Lances have been arguing with men of other units, as they still defended their leader's stance on the village. The scuffles are small, but it shows a newfound issue: Command. Although each unit has a commander that they rally behind, there hasn't yet been an agreement on the way to decide on issues for the army as a whole.

All units back there have been accepted, I believe it's time to proceed with a bit of an intro post.

During the night, the men spotted many lights coming from the nearby forest. It looked like an army. The alarm rang out and all units mobilized to proper positions in order to prepare for an enemy attack. The silence was only broken by the sound of footsteps as each man aimed carefully towards the incoming lights, up until they saw various flags waving, the Empire's identifying flag. It was another group of survivors, 450 men and 50 horses all walked towards the encampment and were greeted openly.

The commanders met and exchanged pleasantries, both sides glad to see that more men had come out alive from that scuffle. During the night, the newcomers made another ring of fortifications below the ones made by the original unit, basic trenches with sandbags, mostly.

Dawn came, and the commanders met in one large tent up to the top of the hill. From there, they can see large plains with intermitent small forests throughout the horizon. To the south stand a few villages, to the west stands a large town fortified by a wooden wall and with a river capable of holding small ships to its side, and to the east stand many fruitful fields.

The Dixies and Suromi's men have approached the town from various angles, a few onlookers eyeing them warily. After a period of scouting, they make out a rather well-drawn map of the city, but haven't been able to identify anything within it.

>>2490192
The Purple Lances succesfully establish a perimeter around the encampment that keeps an awesome watch over the entire perimeter. They've spotted various scouts eyeing up the encampment and running off to the western river town and to the east. Most civilians who came close simply circled the encampment to continue with their affairs. No one has intruded the camp at any point, and they are sure of it.
The commanders have decided to change the command system of the army, a debate is about to start on who will take decisions and how they will be elected, even how frequently. You have various options plus the option to create your own system of generalship:
>A general will be elected by the commanders and will have absolute authority over army actions. The general will be forced to step down if he loses the support of most of the commanders.
>A general will be elected by the commanders in order to break ties and take command in the event of battle or all out war with a primitive tribe. The general will be forced to step down if he loses the support of most of the commanders.
>The commanders will decide on matters through a vote, foregoing any sort of higher authority.
>Make another system.

You can't do that yet, your men have only scouted and returned. Establishing contacts with these people is an action by itself, probably will be an army decision. Though you should probably debate with the commanders about it later on.

The 53rd Royal Rifles, nicknamed "Old Sterling", marches in to the town. They had been performing the rearguard action, and the men are weary, but they seem cheered by the sight of other allied military forces. The commanders have decided on what system to use. A general will be elected by the commanders in order to break ties and take command in the event of battle or all out war with a primitive tribe. The general will be forced to step down if he loses the support of most of the commanders.

Now that the system has been decided, it is time to decide on an actual general. Though it is expected that a nobleborn become a general of an army, a lowborn can also recieve power if he were to get enough votes.

The commanders begin to debate on who is the most apt to become general.

Considering the nature of this decision. General Valern has been nominated to engage in the diplomacy with the primitives, after recieving counsel from the commanders, he will be free to take whichever decision seems best.

>| All Male]

>Lowborn (- Morale, + Discipline), the lowborn, the masses, go to war for a myriad of reasons: As a way to make a living, forced by debt or crime, in search of a nobiliar title... Their strength lies in the tried and hard training they must go through to hope to reach the ranks of the army. Only the most obedient and disciplined reach it.

Heavy Infantry(Siege Breakers) an experimental unit formed to counter 'primitives' strategy and to minimize casualties when facing them. Originally dredged up from a mixture of sappers, heavy gunners, medics, and infantry. Equipped with heavier armor, melee weapons, occasional firearm(pistols being popular thanks to using them with melee weapons or behind shields), explosives, and strategic heavy weapon(mostly machine guns with the occasional portable artillery). Their duty was to dig in or breakout.

Of which they both succeeded and failed. From failing to protect the headquarters. To succeeding in breaking out after being surrounded by natives in a seemingly hopeless situation.

>Officer Maldred Morzu
Currently the highest ranking surviving officer and one of the only surviving Officers who actually attended Formal Officer training from the Empire. Is not fond of his odds of survival given how everyone higher ranking than him has died.

>First Baskaran Breakers

>Baskara Mountains
Baskara Mountains was chosen for a reason when forming this new unit. The barbaric people there were extremely formidable and highly resistive. Having only recently been brought into the Empire after long millennia of warring that only ended in recent times. After gunpowder blew apart their fortresses and guns mowed down their warriors.

They are still a largely wild ferocious people strong and tough as their homelands breed them albeit rather feral still. Still thanks to their homeland and fighting themselves. One would be hard-pressed indeed to find a people better at standing their ground or breaking things apart then they.

As such the Empire is rather hesitant in recruiting too many Baskari given their long troubled history together. Yet the Empire knows better than anyone else just how tough they can be and how fearsome a foe. Thus the use of Baskaran forces is for now limited and considered rather experimental. As the Imperial Military struggles to digest them.

Heavy Infantry isn't in the list of allowed units. Would you be willing to change that bit?

Other than that, nice effort on that post!

Ah, in that case, I think they would fit under Sappers and war engineers with the other specialist units. Otherwise an infantry hybrid of some kind.

>Nobleborn

>Melee Infantry
Arming themselves with swords and shields, this unit specializes in stalemates, keeping the enemies tangled up in battling them with minimal casualties on their own side while their allies prepare to hit hard and finish the battle.

>Sir Jackson Gray
As with many others, Jack remains the the most experienced officer remaining in his unit, his superiors either dying or deserting. He's not excited to take command.

>The Broken Blades
Named so because in the past, they had a habit of not taking care of their weapons to the point they snapped.

>Origin
These are men taken from all over the world, originally they were multiple units, but due to their roles, their poor training and general incompetence, the casualties racked up to the point the units were disbanded and the remaining men were put into a single one to organize and train them better.

Late in the afternoon, another 400 men have joined up with the army after coming out of the forest. Your army now totals 1350 men, it's getting harder and harder to feed them by simply foraging the land.

A messenger from the King of Valerie is supposed to arrive tomorrow or the day past it, telling you where and when you will meet up with him.

>Food: 4/10.
Berries, mushrooms and meat aplenty for decent stews.
Spare supplies that were supposed to be used for the duration of the battle. With some rationing, it could last weeks.
The sudden influx of men have dwindled your food a bit, such a massive army is hard to be fed through forest foraging.
>Weapons: 7/10.
Coming out of a battle, the man are armed and loaded. The confusion of the battle and the duration of the campaign has led to the loss of various weapons.
>Clothes: 6/10.
The gift of cloth from the village we found has given us enough to mend many torn uniforms from our men. They are not as beautiful as they once were, but they keep the men warm.
>Area Knowledge: 5/10
We found stones with strange markings.
Mountains to the North.
You have a map of the river city to the west. You know the city is called Valerie, and is capital to the Kingdom of Valerie, led by King Gothric I, they are subject to the ruthless Great King Gwyn I.
You have drawn a bad map of the area closest to you with (((((paint))))).
>Army Command System: A General will be elected by the commanders in order to break ties and take command in the event of battle or all out war with a primitive tribe. The general will be forced to step down if he loses the support of most of the commanders. Our General is Joannes Valern, leader of the Solemn.

Diplomatic Status
>Kingdom of Valerie (Primitives): Uneasy Peace.

The commanders have gathered, it's time to see what to do throughout the day as an army:

>Relation with primitives (War, raids, establishing deals, trade, etc.). Will have a submenu.
>Fortify the encampment.
>Prepare to move out.

Now each commander will be able to do something with their units:
>Forage food/resources. Which? (Difficulty varies)
>Mend clothes (Costs cloth).
>Scout out area.
>Try to find lost men of your unit in the woods. (Hard)
>Build/produce something. What? (Difficulty varies).
>Write in.

Though the Broken Blades get lost along the way, they are saved by Gareth Vindelheimr and Siegmend Blend and their men. As they gather, they head out in multiple directions. You notice that the forest reaches all the way to the river, and beyond the river, to the northwest, stands hilly terrain and mountains where various smoke trails indicate the existence of villages there.

West of the river, various enclosures where horse, sheep, cows and other cattle dwell stand throughout the horizon, there are small houses around them belonging to their caretakers.

Following the river south, the way is constantly downhill, and very far away you see a great expanse of water, it looks like a sea or the ocean. The road following the river is better maintained, and down the river various other small rivers join up with it to create an even larger river.

To the east, the bountiful fields continue on for a good while, and soon in the distance, you spot another river, smaller than Valerie's.

Since the exploration was so broad in spectrum, you could not discern any other details.

>>2497786
You begin building the watchtower, gathering resources from the forest, you cut down a good amount of trees and prepare them to be used as parts for the watchtower. This takes the whole day, but the resources are primed and ready to begin construction.

>>2497787
>>2497823
Valern and Jenkins' units head out into the forest, looking for abandoned equipment, but find nothing of the sort. You do find a few generic Imperial uniforms which were discarded due to the poor state they were in. You take them in if only to get some cloth out of them.

>>2497789
The men are constantly on watch. The scouts you had spotted the other day have not returned as far as you know. The people passing by would rather not mess with your camp, and continue going around it.

>>2497845
Your men have trouble mending the clothes, they have not been productive at all, and most of the work had to be undone. Thankfully, none of the uniforms got worse for wear.

The army decides that it is time to fortify the encampment, you're probably going to be here a while, and the nomadic lifestyle is not the way of the Imperial Army. First, we must see what materials and what design we're going to use. So far, we know that we have wood aplenty in the northern forest, up to the north there are mountains, where stone could be gathered. The commanders gather, and a decision must be taken.

First:
>What design would you like to use?
Second:
>What resources would you like to use?
>>
>>2497898
"Gentlemen, I propose we create higher, thicker walls all around our encampment, reinforcing it with sandbags and any available stone. Afterwards, we should use any available tools to dig a trench or two around the walls, about 7-10 feet deep, with sharpened wooden logs embedded at the bottom if possible. At regular intervals, more watchtowers like the one already built should be placed and fully manned at all times, with the watch men cycled out so that they never slack."

"Will this work for our purpose?"

The commanders have taken a decision, it is time to begin preparations. The units begin gathering resources en masse in order to make the palisade and walkway, while others prepare the surrounding dirt for the emplacement. It will take around four to five days to have everything ready.

During the afternoon, the King's messenger comes, he informs the general that the meeting will be held in the midway point from the city to the army's newly established camp tomorrow in the morning. He says that the King will bring a host of men to ensure his protection.

Night comes and the next day rears its head. What will you bring to the meeting?

>>2498368
The meeting has ended, though there was tension, some agreements were made. When the commanders return, work has begun on turning the wood gathered into passable palisades. Throughout the day, some tension sparks from the camp of the Purple Lances, but they are eventually calmed down by their commander. As the men continue their work, some children approach camp to watch the soldiers at work, though they are quickly shooed away by patrolmen.

This session has ended. Thank you all for participating. We will continue in a few days. I will be around the discord for some more low-scale RP.

A few more details on the events of yesterday:

During the meeting on neutrla grounds with the King, the King invited general Joannes Valern to have a walk in the forest, where they discussed matters of a secret alliance in private. The King said that as long as he was shown the manufacture of a gun and a bullet, he would be inclined to openly ally with the army and stand against his liege High King Gwyn I, whom he considers to be a tyrant. He also told you to beware going beyond the strange stones of the forest and the locations of a few depots constructed by the Empire's great army.

While the King and Joannes were gone, the leader of the Purple Lances, Timmothy of Har, pointed one of his guns towards a horseman of King Gothric and asked him about the stones with strange markings in the forest. The horseman stood up to him, and in the end they had a spar in the middle of a ring, they fought bravely and in the end, the horseman overpowered Timmothy and was about to defeat him, but King Gothric had returned, outraged by their fight in neutral grounds, and punched his soldier in the face, then Joannes backhanded Timmothy as a reprimand.

When Gothric learned of Timmothy's threat against his men, he grew angry, and told Joannes that unless his men were truly loyal to their general and this general had real power over them, that there would never be any deal. Timmothy returned to camp in great anger from Joannes' punishment and tensions were great during the rest of the day. Timmothy's wounds were patched up carefully by the medics of his unit.

Now night is about to come, and the commanders gather as always in the command tent to speak and debate. The events of the day being the first matter to attend to.

Any and all special actions here can be decided upon by the attendees, with final say by the general (unless one of the decisions taken beforehand is changing the command system and the general is no longer a general.

>Change command system.
>Relations with the natives.
>Banish a commander.
